- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone show on seven to ten
- 0:03Speaker 1: wor Ken Vermar Today. Here's Ken Rosatto had a very
- 0:09Speaker 1: good Wednesday the day before. We go straight to our
- 0:11Speaker 1: busy phones and here's the man who sets off my
- 0:14Speaker 1: holiday perfectly. Vincent from Brooklyn.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Good morning Vincent, Good morning Ken and bonifesta do ingraciamento day.
- 0:23Speaker 2: He on a tour for me.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Thank you, and he's a translation Happy Thanksgiving to you
- 0:28Speaker 1: and your family. Thank you and.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Santius exactly Ken. Ken. Also, they didn't even I don't
- 0:34Speaker 2: know if they filed the case in New York against
- 0:36Speaker 2: Latisha James, but she has a five family house here
- 0:39Speaker 2: and she listed in the fourth family house and that
- 0:42Speaker 2: goes against the rules of building registration, which she just
- 0:47Speaker 2: had to like I had to fill out and have
- 0:51Speaker 2: submitted by the end of August. Now coming up next
- 0:55Speaker 2: week is the bedbug registration. You have to submit that
- 1:00Speaker 2: your apartments either did and you had the problem fixed
- 1:05Speaker 2: or never did to have bad bugs, and you have
- 1:08Speaker 2: to sign that doc. You have to go online and
- 1:11Speaker 2: electronically signed that document and resubmitted to the city. That's
- 1:16Speaker 2: next week.
- 1:17Speaker 3: So.
- 1:18Speaker 2: She's on she could get her easily in trouble in
- 1:21Speaker 2: New York if yeah, decide to pursue it. He is.
- 1:24Speaker 1: And also in Massachusetts, remember she has another one in Massachusetts.
- 1:27Speaker 1: She's got homes all over the place, and I think
- 1:30Speaker 1: that's listed as a second home. You could do that
- 1:32Speaker 1: as a second home. That's okay. But I think in
- 1:34Speaker 1: Massachusetts she may and this is I don't know for sure,
- 1:38Speaker 1: but I believe she was renting that out. Now the
- 1:40Speaker 1: question is did she pay her income tax? And she
- 1:43Speaker 1: may have, I don't know. I'm asking did she pay
- 1:46Speaker 1: her income tax on rent from that home or did
- 1:49Speaker 1: she list it just as a second home for herself?
- 1:51Speaker 1: But she is allegedly renting that out. So there are
- 1:54Speaker 1: a lot of questions here. And if you're going to
- 1:55Speaker 1: be the chief law enforcement officer of the state of
- 1:57Speaker 1: New York, you better follow the law yourself exactly.
- 2:01Speaker 2: And there's I don't know how you get around here
- 2:03Speaker 2: in New York. How you get around, say, in an
- 2:08Speaker 2: apartment on the building only has four units when it
- 2:10Speaker 2: has five. Because also when you fill out your insurance,
- 2:15Speaker 2: when you have to buy your insurance, whether you buy
- 2:17Speaker 2: it every year or every three years like some people do,
- 2:22Speaker 2: because if you buy it all at once for three years.
- 2:25Speaker 2: You got to get a break on the rate because
- 2:27Speaker 2: you got to pay up all at once. You still
- 2:29Speaker 2: have to put down and she also be maybe liable.
- 2:32Speaker 1: For insurance, right because if you say that it's your
- 2:35Speaker 1: personal residence as opposed to a residence you're renting out,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you get different rates and you also pay different rates
- 2:41Speaker 1: in taxes in some communities.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So that but here's the thing. Can you also you're
- 2:47Speaker 2: lying because it has four units and it has five units,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and you're telling the insurance company it has four So
- 2:56Speaker 2: there's a greater liability on you on their party because
- 3:00Speaker 2: it has five units, and you're lessening the liability by
- 3:04Speaker 2: life it's say.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Hated as there's no question. Look, there's no question. There
- 3:08Speaker 1: was some dancing around fact. The issue is she's going
- 3:14Speaker 1: to try to make the argument I'm sure that it
- 3:16Speaker 1: was the attorney that did this, But you are the
- 3:19Speaker 1: attorney general. You are an attorney, so you should know better.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You should double and triple check anything before you sign it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: If you're going to be in public office.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Ken on all of the building registrations, it says are
- 3:32Speaker 2: you an agent for the landlord? Meanwhile, are you a
- 3:35Speaker 2: rental agent like a big real estate company, right, and
- 3:38Speaker 2: if you are, you still have to have the landlord
- 3:42Speaker 2: sign the official document.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Hey, Vincent, get of it. If you did it, you
- 3:48Speaker 1: would be in jail in a heart right now. We'd
- 3:51Speaker 1: be calling you and you'd be as a Hey, I
- 3:53Speaker 1: only got two more minutes left in two quarters. That's
- 3:55Speaker 1: that's what would be the case. So you know that
- 3:58Speaker 1: we would be treated quite different. Unfortunately, also she has.
- 4:03Speaker 2: The legal slush fund here that Kathy Hkal set up
- 4:06Speaker 2: for of ten million dollars that she could tap into,
- 4:09Speaker 2: which we would never have the advantage of something like that.
- 4:12Speaker 2: And unfortunately all of us New Yorkers are on the
- 4:15Speaker 2: hook for her for her bill.
- 4:17Speaker 1: That's why I live in New Jersey. Vincent, you are
- 4:20Speaker 1: the best, my friend. Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you are.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Do you?
- 4:23Speaker 1: By the way, I gotta quickly ask, do you guys
- 4:25Speaker 1: do a pasta with your turkey?
- 4:28Speaker 2: No? Just only when my grandfather used to come home,
- 4:31Speaker 2: because he would he would he would do we'd have
- 4:33Speaker 2: a resigna and turkey. No, I just do I just
- 4:37Speaker 2: do a turkey.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You're You're an a Mediguan. You're in a medigan all over.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Tomorrow night. Tomorrow night, I'll probably i'll leave pasta, well
- 4:47Speaker 2: maybe tonight. I'll see maybe tonight and Friday night I'll
- 4:51Speaker 2: leave pasta.
- 4:52Speaker 1: There you go, listen, enjoy it, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
- 4:55Speaker 1: We will talk to you. I'm back on Friday for
- 4:57Speaker 1: Mark two, so I want to hear I would all one,
- 4:59Speaker 1: all right YouTube, Thank you, sir, oh Man, I love
- 5:04Speaker 1: talking Vincent and and robbed you too, and Franklin score
- 5:07Speaker 1: Happy Thanksgiving? How are you, sir?
- 5:09Speaker 3: Happy Thanksgiving to you, Ken and you and your family.
- 5:12Speaker 3: You know, uh you and uh and and uh Laurie.
- 5:15Speaker 2: You had you.
- 5:16Speaker 3: It was it was great listening to you. I listened
- 5:19Speaker 3: as a retired transit cup. I listened to you guys
- 5:21Speaker 3: when you're on in mid day.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 3: The thing is with with the cases with Tommy and
- 5:30Speaker 3: and and Letitia.
- 5:33Speaker 2: They're both guilty.
- 5:33Speaker 3: But the thing is like Pam Bondy was against uh
- 5:36Speaker 3: uh prosecuting call me, I mean she did. She thought
- 5:40Speaker 3: it was a weak case. She she had the assistant,
- 5:43Speaker 3: her assistant d A. He didn't he uh didn't want to,
- 5:47Speaker 3: you know, file charges. And then when the time was
- 5:49Speaker 3: running out, what did.
- 5:50Speaker 2: They ex what did Trump expect.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I was a real estate uh attorney to to
- 5:56Speaker 3: you know, and the time was running out. She got
- 5:59Speaker 3: you can indict a ham Sandwich. And and Ady McCarty
- 6:05Speaker 3: said on Fox about two months ago, he said, this
- 6:08Speaker 3: case will never go against Tom. He'll never go to front.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Let me say this, if I may rub only only
- 6:13Speaker 1: a couple of things. Number one, I think part of
- 6:14Speaker 1: the punishment is this. You know, they knew. I think
- 6:17Speaker 1: deep down this wasn't going to go very far. But
- 6:19Speaker 1: they want to bankrupt the guy. Let's make his life hell.
- 6:22Speaker 1: See the difference. When they did this to Trump, he
- 6:24Speaker 1: had five billion in the bank. So I lose half
- 6:26Speaker 1: a billion. What's a big deal when you do it
- 6:28Speaker 1: to Komi. Now, I grant that he probably has a
- 6:30Speaker 1: lot of money stashed here and there, but he probably
- 6:32Speaker 1: will lose that money in defending himself. So I think
- 6:35Speaker 1: that's part. If they want to make it as painful
- 6:37Speaker 1: in existence as possible, let him have some sleepless nights
- 6:39Speaker 1: after what he put other people through. And I'm sure
- 6:42Speaker 1: that is the punishment in the back of their minds
- 6:44Speaker 1: in terms of indicting a ham sandwich. Though, if you
- 6:46Speaker 1: look at the district where it was done, yes and no.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I mean you never can tell with a grand jury.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I've seen stuff where you said grand juri will never
- 6:53Speaker 1: indict and they indict, and other cases where you say
- 6:55Speaker 1: this is a slam dunk and they don't. So you
- 6:58Speaker 1: never really know. But we'll see what happens. Look, they're
- 7:00Speaker 1: gonna appeal, and if the appeal doesn't work, they will
- 7:03Speaker 1: refile charges.
- 7:04Speaker 3: That It makes a lot of sense what you're saying.
- 7:08Speaker 1: More importantly, though, what are you doing for Thanksgiving? Are you?
- 7:10Speaker 1: And what does your family do?
- 7:12Speaker 3: My sister, my sister has us aver my. You know,
- 7:15Speaker 3: a lot of relatives are no longer with us, but
- 7:17Speaker 3: my sister, my brother and sister in law, she cooks
- 7:20Speaker 3: turkey and pasta.
- 7:21Speaker 1: There you go.
- 7:22Speaker 3: We're Irish, mostly Irish, a little German, but you know
- 7:25Speaker 3: we're into the pasta with the turkey down with him.
- 7:28Speaker 1: By the way, my friends, I'm not kidding about this,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and I mean no insult in my family. I had
- 7:33Speaker 1: my one of my dearest friends growing up. His name
- 7:35Speaker 1: is Bill Dirton Gerald. Give me a shout out. His
- 7:37Speaker 1: dad Irish and German. His dad used to make the
- 7:39Speaker 1: best damn pasta and pasta sauce ever ever and I
- 7:43Speaker 1: used to love and yet he never ate it himself.
- 7:46Speaker 1: He didn't like pasta, but he made nobody's business. Something
- 7:49Speaker 1: about following the rules and the and the anyway, just delicious.
- 7:52Speaker 1: He's out there listening right now. So I give a
- 7:54Speaker 1: shout out to mister Dirtinger.
- 7:56Speaker 3: God, God bless you, Ken, and thanks for bringing up
- 7:58Speaker 3: Laurie's name. You know, I just saw you guys were great.
- 8:01Speaker 3: You guys were great together on the news.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Thank you, Bill. Bill Evans had us all out in
- 8:05Speaker 1: the Hamptons a couple of weeks ago, so I was
- 8:07Speaker 1: out with her and we had a good time. It
- 8:09Speaker 1: was nice to see her again. And Rob, you have
- 8:10Speaker 1: a happy Thanksgiving, my friend. Thanks for checking in all right.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Seven to ten WR the Voice of New York. This
- 8:16Speaker 1: is Ken Rizzotto Win from Mark the day before Thanksgiving.
- 8:19Speaker 1: A little bit later, we'll speak with financial expert Ron
- 8:21Speaker 1: Glasgow about how Americans plan to spend their money this
- 8:24Speaker 1: Black Friday. At least one survey suggests people plan to
- 8:27Speaker 1: spend less this year than last.
