- 1:09I recorded this video already today and it just broke my SD
- 1:14card size, say, you know what down?
- 1:16Actually, I think that you don't deserve to have this video.
- 1:20I'm going to erase it just for a bit of fun, really.
- 1:22Just because just, I got this because I want to be like that,
- 1:24really. So yeah, there you go.
- 1:26For SD card, love you. Okay.
- 1:29So I want to talk about Asperger's and OCD because
- 1:32there's this, there's a comorbid condition of pages and all CD
- 1:37how they have a kind of relationship if you will, but I
- 1:39want to talk about the differences.
- 1:40But then I want to talk about how, you know, Asperger's
- 1:44affects me and how OCD affects me, but more importantly, how
- 1:47OCD actually impact my life in a particular way.
- 1:50So it's very simple like this. So if we look at Asperger
- 1:54syndrome, oh, and by the way, guys, if you Want to leave any
- 1:58comments down below. Please do so.
- 1:59I read and respond to every single one.
- 2:01So I'll be awesome to have that conversation with you.
- 2:03It's never wasted. All comments.
- 2:06Are, welcome. Always, I love you.
- 2:07Let's go on the video. So Asperger syndrome, you might
- 2:10be thinking, well, people on the autism spectrum, do things and
- 2:13obsessive-compulsive ritual kind of routine way.
- 2:15Anyway, right? And you're absolutely correct,
- 2:18but there is a big difference between those kind of routines
- 2:20that come under the condition of autism or Asperger's Syndrome,
- 2:24you know, and all the CD. As a standalone condition of the
- 2:28autism spectrum, condition versus, you know,
- 2:30obsessive-compulsive disorder. Now, when you have Asperger
- 2:33syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder which is now formally
- 2:37called you basically have this ability to do things in a
- 2:41certain way that you feel compelled to do because you like
- 2:43doing them. So getting up the same way, you
- 2:45have routines in place, all through your day, you have the
- 2:47same thing for lunch yet. Like I love wearing these types
- 2:50of t-shirts, my clothes, I love having the same shoes which are
- 2:53the new fans autism shoes, which is amazing.
- 2:55I did a video. All about them actually.
- 2:57And if you want to see me reviewing, those vans.
- 3:00Awesome shoes are kind of leave a link somewhere in this video,
- 3:03may be an account above here and down below so you can check it
- 3:05out. But my shoes are Vans, awesome
- 3:07shoes, which is amazing, right? Having the ability to have
- 3:10things the same in a routine. Which is kind of like a
- 3:13compulsion is nice. I get enjoyment out of those
- 3:15things. And those things make me feel
- 3:17comfort. Me feel safe.
- 3:18We feel like things are familiar, but when you look at
- 3:21OCD OCD makes me compelled to do things because I'm scared.
- 3:25I have fear have A worried that something bad is going to
- 3:28happen. Like if I don't do things in a
- 3:31certain way something bad is going to happen.
- 3:32Now this is the interesting thing about OCD.
- 3:36I don't mind people knowing that I like to wear the same clothes
- 3:38every single day like if I like to have the same thing for
- 3:41breakfast and if I want to eat the same meal, three days in a
- 3:43row or forever actually, then I don't mind people knowing that
- 3:47there's nothing wrong with the fact that I want to eat like
- 3:49vegetables every single day. You know, there's nothing wrong
- 3:51with those things. But in terms of like But OCD I
- 3:55hide my own CDs. Like some of the things I do are
- 3:57hide it because I feel insecure about them.
- 4:00I don't want those things. I don't want to live a life
- 4:02where I'm having to do these things.
- 4:04Like, for instance, when we live in a house before this one,
- 4:07there was a towel and it in the bathroom, right?
- 4:08And I have to like flip it around certain way to put it
- 4:10back on the rack with when I finish within certain amount of
- 4:12times, you guys get the idea and my girlfriend cottoned onto
- 4:17this. So she cut the tag off the towel
- 4:19so that the hand towels that went on to the onto the rack
- 4:22where the idiot. I couldn't tell the difference
- 4:24and so that was her way of kind of trying to control the
- 4:27situation and weirdly enough, the character control the
- 4:30situation and now obviously just fizzled off Into Obscurity and I
- 4:33have thought about it ever again, which is weird, right?
- 4:35But when I try to stop having an OCD compulsion like like
- 4:39touching wood or top of my head and touching word, a couple
- 4:41months out, I have to do things in three.
- 4:42So it like that one, two, three, and one, two, three, and then do
- 4:44that whole cycle three times by doing those things.
- 4:48I feel like I'm saving something or whatever.
- 4:51And it's Kind of makes no sense, right?
- 4:54And it makes me feel kind of like whoa before I had OCD
- 4:58before, but now that like I had therapy in the whole city for it
- 5:02was. Okay.
- 5:02And I understand it was a, it was a, it was never like this
- 5:04bad, but now I also do is I can times worse, why?
- 5:08Why is mostly ten times worse? I don't know.
- 5:10I think it may be down to the fact that like, when you, when
- 5:15more stress comes into my life, the morrow CDs kind of rise in
- 5:19the creep up and I have more and more of them and they will
- 5:21expand as well. So like, like I'll do my hands,
- 5:25a certain amount of times. I'll do it three times and it
- 5:26becomes like six times. It becomes 12 times and then I
- 5:29get sometimes you get stuck in a cycle where you doing something
- 5:31and you thinking if I did this, right, if I look at my hands in
- 5:34the same routine, right? In it.
- 5:35And then your stresses you out on the whirring, the fear and
- 5:37guilt of where you like, is this going to cause kind of crazy
- 5:40effect if I don't do it, right? And then you have this horrible
- 5:43like looking over you, you know, and I've never talked to anybody
- 5:46but I don't talk to my girlfriend about it.
- 5:48Don't talk to my therapist about it.
- 5:49I should talk to my therapist about it, which I'm going to try
- 5:51and bring it up and maybe I'll talk about in another video.
- 5:53But like, It's just those things.
- 5:54It's like, wow, you know, it's really eye-opening because I did
- 5:57a video with Maxie the ask me. Who's another guy who's starting
- 6:01out kind of doing awesome YouTube video Thunder.
- 6:03He interviewed me for his channel because he's doing some
- 6:04stuff because it's like, the whole lockdown stuff and that
- 6:07was just like, to me. It was really eye opening party
- 6:09has OCD as well. He had some like management and
- 6:12some medication and he must overcome it.
- 6:15But having that kind of Relativity, like, knowing that
- 6:19what he's going through like, oh yeah.
- 6:21Wow. You know, why?
- 6:21I had that? I did that.
- 6:23I do those things. It's kind of like, whoa, shocked
- 6:25me and really made me think about it.
- 6:27Maybe I should open up my girlfriend about it first but
- 6:29I'm just scared, you know, of like why you know, I do these
- 6:32things. I don't know.
- 6:33It just makes you feel embarrassed.
- 6:34Yeah. She's it's not on their behalf,
- 6:36not with girlfriends. Just me.
- 6:37I like I feel embarrassed, like, you know, that I have to do all
- 6:39these things and I take forever. It's OCD is a thing that makes
- 6:43p. So late for everything in my
- 6:45life. I'm like always late because I
- 6:46have to do things and your rituals and certain way but I
- 6:49don't want him anymore. I don't want it to on OCD.
- 6:51I wanted to go so I'm gonna definitely Go speak with are
- 6:54pissed about it. I don't think I can take any
- 6:55more medication because I'm already on specific medication
- 6:58for my autism and ADHD. And those are working really
- 7:02well. And I don't know if they you
- 7:04know, at a medication interview with it but the harsh reality of
- 7:09Asperger's and do CD together is that it's a strain you know it's
- 7:14a stress in my life I stressed because I'm like laughs I'm
- 7:16going to go do this thing and I've got a do it in a certain
- 7:19way and like with this whole covid thing, adds all The
- 7:23necessary steps like I used to tap, when I close my garden gate
- 7:27in matte light. Tap it like with my fingers, a
- 7:28couple of times, at whilst the door was open the door to be
- 7:30open in the house on top of the, get another coming.
- 7:33But now, the gates made out like that, part of the gates made out
- 7:36of metal. So I'm like freaking out
- 7:37thinking, um, you know, if someone's walked past and touch
- 7:39that. And now I have to go wash my
- 7:42hands because the covid virus can live on the mat over 15
- 7:44hours and then like it just every time I take the dog out
- 7:46for a girl from hands in my hands and you get absolutely
- 7:48wrecked like, washing them all the time.
- 7:50And that's another thing I can wash my hands.
- 7:52And then I'd be like, I want Three.
- 7:54And then I do another one and I walked around, we going to bed
- 7:56like my bedtime routine is ridiculous.
- 7:58It's just for ever and has like silly things.
- 8:00Like in it where I just I have to take a Praying Hands and act
- 8:02like Taps, tough time, word into these things and say things in
- 8:05my head certain amount of times and it just dresses me up.
- 8:09Like, I just like had it up to here and like stress, though,
- 8:12CD. So, if you have any tips to add
- 8:15to this, if you have anything like that, you see Dan?
- 8:17This might work, then. Let me know.
- 8:18I'm actually all ears old time. It's one of those 30 and on also
- 8:22like, if this video you think, Can help somebody kind of feel
- 8:24relatable, then please share this on Facebook, and Twitter,
- 8:27and Instagram, or wherever, you want to share on social media,
- 8:30to help me out and help other people that be super, super
- 8:33awsome. But in terms of like, how do I
- 8:36deal with OCD? I kind of just let it go.
- 8:38I just, I just it just manifest and it does, it's a sustained
- 8:41and I never really talked about it.
- 8:42Like I've no, it's like the second video of ever done on OCD
- 8:45on my channel. And yeah, it's a huge part of my
- 8:47life and I want to maybe being more open about it.
- 8:50Talking to you guys about is going to make me like way more
- 8:52compelled. To seek your help with it, you
- 8:55know, because it becomes this thing, you just it just takes
- 8:57over in your life. Just happens that happens and
- 8:59happens. But it does start to eat your
- 9:01life like takes control of your life, and I don't want it to
- 9:04control the life. We can all very strong-minded
- 9:07like motivated person and I'm like, yeah, I want to kick my
- 9:10goals and I want to prove to make my audience that I can do
- 9:12this. And that's another thing like I
- 9:13want to help you guys through things like this.
- 9:15So but me sharing my story and maybe the therapy.
- 9:18I'm getting a maybe the other stuff.
- 9:19Maybe I'll help and maybe together we can make Make an
- 9:23awesome kind of like OCD free world and stuff like that but
- 9:28it's funny because a lot of people think OCD just means that
- 9:30you wash your hands. Loads are you cleaned on the
- 9:32surfaces in your house? And I mean maybe maybe that is
- 9:35Bluff. Never really worried about how I
- 9:38clean. My sofa is you know with occur
- 9:41like a dipping test to see how clean it is the selfie and all
- 9:43the cast of you see on TV. But I'm really worried about
- 9:45something that my I do worry about like, how clean my kitchen
- 9:48counters are but not as much as like, some people who say they
- 9:51got what you do. But I don't know how Is, you
- 9:53know, is that OCD? Is it different?
- 9:55I don't know, right, I don't know much about OCD.
- 9:57I just know about my OCD and how it starts to control my life and
- 10:01I don't want it to take control my life.
- 10:02So I'm starting today. This is it?
- 10:05I'm gonna speak to my therapist. See if we can talk about
- 10:07obesity, it's gonna be so dope. Anyway guys, if you enjoyed this
- 10:11video, please give it a thumbs up.
