a lot of people there in churches that if something bad happened to their kids,

If your kid gets sick, there's no one who can help you. If your wife doesn't

act right, there's no one that can help you. If your marriage is in trouble,

you're not in a place where somebody can help you. And I really don't think

that Christians understand this.

And so I'm going to share with you out of the Bible, how do you follow a minister online?

How do you find the right person? I'm going to switch these lights a minute. There we go.

How do you find the right person to follow? And what does that look like?

You sit behind a computer. How do you preach against prosperity on a computer on a MacBook Pro?

Your MacBook Pro is a full year salary in many countries of the world.

You drive a car. In 2026, the average human being on earth still drives an ox

cart. That's an actual fact.

So it's not that people don't believe in prosperity. It's they're too stupid

to recognize that God has blessed them.

The poorest person in America has climate-controlled sectioning housing,

cable television, and Wi-Fi.

We live in a strangely blessed nation. That blessing did not come from communism.

That blessing didn't come from Islam. That blessing didn't come from atheism.

That blessing came from a people that rose up in giving and receiving.

And I'm not going to see it flush down the toilet in one generation.

God's going to raise up a new army of prosperity-wielding, Holy Ghost-filled,

Lord-confessing children of God. You're watching and say, that's me.

it means having enough to do no it doesn't.

When people wanted to go to war, they asked if he could help.

He was a nation as a man. The Bible says, all that seek deliverance in Zion,

consider the rock from which you were hewn, the quarry from which you were mined, Isaiah 51, 1 to 3.

For Abraham was one man when I called him, but when I finished,

he became a mighty nation.

There's people here that have experienced that. You never thought the day would

come where you'd call a staff meeting that was bigger than your revival meetings

when you started in the ministry.

But as you rise up in that Abrahamic blessing, the Lord gave me that scripture

one time, the mustard seed, though it's the smallest of seeds,

becomes a mighty tree and birds make their nest in it.

I was believing God, my wife's here, to make it to the end of the month.

And I was praying, you know, Lord, help me get to the end of the month with

this little bit of money. And the Lord said, one day out of that scripture,

there's going to be multiple families that make their living off the excess

of what's coming into the ministry. And that day is here now.

You know, we want to hit 50 employees. I'm just giving you guys a minute to

share. Tag of friends. Maybe we could break the ministry up into like Revival

Then we can split it so we don't have to pay the insurances. I said, just pay it.

God knows all the regulations. God is not concerned about any law that's going

to be passed or any attempt to hinder or restrict the blessing of God.

where they're trying to pass laws to make it where you can't rise up in wealth,

God's going to go out of his way to show people in those states that no government

It takes an anointing to preach the gospel to the poor. That's why you'll never

see anti-prosperity people having any evangelistic crusades because it makes no financial.

I went to do our first crusade in Philadelphia in a place called Nicetown.

It was the second highest crime, second most violent. I'm just letting you enjoy

a little bit of Jonathan. I'm getting ready right now. So let me just fast forward

He said, what did people get? You feel like you're an imposition.

The world is hungry for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The world is hungry for the word of God.

The world is desperate for the supernatural touch of the Holy Ghost.

Okay. So they had both of them play the lady first and then play the other.

And I said, and he said, no, going somewhere.

You're not in a group of people that are going to get mad when you get a new

car or a bigger house or a bigger church This is a room full of champions that

Amazon was building this. So it's a good message. Say it so the devil can hear

you. I'll never be broke. I'll never be broke. Another day in my life.

Hallelujah. Number four, you'll never arrive at prosperity until you become

intoxicated with the value of God's kingdom. Second Samuel 7-2.

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, David, See, now I dwell in the house

of Cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth in curtains.

Why am I living in a nice house where God's house looks like garbage?

Amazing how many pastors you, you know, I met a pastor and he said,

can you believe with me for a building for the church? He'd been there a while.

He said, we're meeting in a hotel bar room. I said, where do you live?

I have a house. So it's funny how you were able to find a million dollars when it came for you.

But then when it comes for your church, it's second until the advancement of

God's kingdom becomes your passion. Getting quiet.

Until the advancement of God's kingdom becomes your primary concern.

And then when it does, you'll never have a chance to pray for a personal need.

Seek ye first the advancement of God's kingdom and His righteousness.

And when you do all the other things that you could be dying trying to get,

I will drop them in your lap in Jesus' name.

Lift both hands all over this place. Receive by the Spirit a renewed passion

for the advancement of God's kingdom in Jesus name.

He's not trying to just get you to do everything for him and nothing for you. He loves you.

And so he knows that if you put him first, you'll be protected.

So the reason why I want to do

this quick message, how do you find a right church that's just like Jesus?

How do you find the right online minister to follow that's like Jesus.

Now, I'm not saying I am Jesus. I'm not saying I'm the only online minister,

but I'm going to give you some criteria to help you because a lot of people are in the wrong places.

So when it comes to a church or an online minister, you don't look for comfort.

Well, I love everything they say.

If you love everything a minister says, I can promise you they're not helping

you to grow at all. How do I know this?

Well, when my daughter is working on lifting weights, Matilda was downstairs

and she's lifting weights and she's like, it hurts. I said, exactly.

When your muscles grow, there's pain.

Well, if I'm selfish and God corrects me and says, hey, Lisa,

that wasn't very nice, that's going to irritate me. Is it not?

Of course it is. So sometimes when a preacher is preaching, you should get irritated.

And if you're not, that's not a very good preacher.

The reason you get irritated is maybe that preacher is stepping on your toes.

Maybe you're selfish. Maybe you're cheap. Maybe you don't give to the body of Christ.

Maybe you're rude. Maybe you don't walk in love. Maybe you're drinking.

Maybe you're getting drunk and you've got a preacher that tells you God understands.

You've got plenty of time. What if you don't have plenty of time?

What if you have a problem drinking and you won't give it up and you're about

to get in a car and kill somebody. What then?

You understand that? I, you know, there's two times that I've now been with
10:14
people and I've been on the edge of their bad decisions.

And I, and my friend, she needs to be smacked for saying it,

but she's like, Lisa, you're like a witch. Like you said it and it happened.

I said, are you out of your mind? I'm not a witch.

God sent me as a last resort.
10:30
God sent me as a warning. God sent me to tell them don't do that. And they did it anyway.

And so I'll give you, for example, there's a man, you know, he's come to my

church a few times and he's got a drinking problem.

And he came, I laid hands on him. He was good for months. He never drank alcohol again. He was good.

He was actually going to AA meetings. Now, he wasn't coming to my church,
10:50
which he should have done.

But he wasn't going to any meetings or anything. Well, he had a son,
10:56
a wicked son, who convinced him to drink again, and he did.

And so I happened to be at a church function, and he comes up to me all ashamed

because he's drunk out of his mind.

And so I just told him, I said, look, God's called you to do better than this.

There's a better life for you, and you know this isn't it. I said,
11:12
you've been clean. You know what to do.
11:14
I know, I know, he said. He said, will you pray for me again? I said, I sure will.

I prayed for him, and then I told him, Do not get on that motorcycle drinking.

Don't do that. I told him that.
11:25
I told him that. Then the next time, then literally, I think it was three days
11:31
later, he gets on it. He's racing with his bad son.
11:37
He goes to the left side of the highway and he hits a woman head on.
11:42
It's a miracle he's alive. Somehow he didn't kill himself. Nobody knows how.

He landed underneath her car. He's not even scraped up. He's got maybe a few
11:52
scrapes, no broken bones, no nothing.

He did have something happen on the inside, though, that messed him up pretty bad.

I like Joel Osteen, too, Charles. So what am I telling you this for?

How do you know if this whole thing that you can't kick is like your last chance?

That's why I don't preach God understands and it's okay if you're in it.

I preach, get out of it, because I've been on the edge of people's bad choices,

and that bad choice tripped the wire that they couldn't come back from.

So if you're in a church for comfort, you're in the wrong church.

If you follow an online minister because he makes you feel good about all your

crappy choices in life, you're following the wrong preacher.

If you're listening to a podcast and everything about him is what you like and
12:39
you never feel challenged, you're listening to the wrong person of God.

You should feel challenged. You should feel corrected. You should feel inspired to change.

Because if Jesus walked in the church today, he'd probably have a lot to say

to a lot of people and you wouldn't like it.

Stephen was not chewed on because he said things people liked.

Paul was not stoned because he preached a bunch of stuff that everyone was like,

oh, you're the best preacher in the world. No, he was telling them to change.

Don't do this, do this, and they didn't like it.

So many people choose a church like they would a night club, a social club.

It's, I got friends there. Hey, I want to hang out with my friends.

I like the kids games they play.

The music is good. They have coffee. It feels comfortable. But Jesus never said,

go there and entertain the nations.

He said, go make disciples, disciples, disciples. And what's that?

It's somebody that you train up to be just like Christ.

It's not go entertain the world and just live in your slop. And we all like

just live in slop in churches. It's go be different.

Go be like Christ. Go change. So if you are in a church and you never get mad,

I can promise you you're in the wrong church.

If you're listening to an online preacher and he or she has never said a word to you, Hey, Josh.

Anyway, if you're in a church that never challenges you, if you're in a church

and they talk to you about prosperity and you get irritated,

chances are you've got something to learn about prosperity.

If you're in a church and they talk to you about God heals people and you get

mad, you have something to learn about about healing.

If you're in a church and they talk to you about patience or love or kindness
14:37
and you get irked in your spirit, chances are God is trying to speak to you
14:41
and help you to change in that area.

But if the minute you go on a chart, somebody irritates you, you leave.

You know, pearls are formed through irritation. You understand that.

A pearl is formed through agitation.

But no Christians want to be irritated. We want to go in church and we want

a perfect and we want. And can I tell you something else, too?

I'm thinking of somebody right now.

Can I tell you something? When you go to a church, guess what's in church?

Would you like to know what's in church? People.

I'll be fun, Josh. We'd love to have you. And guess what people are in church?

Messed up people. It doesn't matter how pretty your church is,

how many lights you've got, how many organs you got. If you got people, you got a mess.

I used to think, God, how come I don't have just regular church people?

That's what I used to think.

And then I saw some regular church people, and they're just messed up as non-regular

church people, just so you know.

Okay, so Jesus never said, go therefore and entertain all nations.

Jesus said, make disciples.

If you're going to be a disciple of Christ, you're going to have to die to yourself.

You get irritated when people talk to you too much. You got to die to that.

You have to have compassion.

Listen, I've been at the church when I'm trying to get something done,

and somebody shows up right in the middle and just wants to talk my ear off.

And you know what I never say? I don't want to talk to you again on my nerves.

Sometimes I'm very much aware. Sometimes I think God has my church there just

for one person sometimes. I really do.

And I sit there and I listen to this person. They tell me the same stories and

say the same thing all the time.

And I just smile and act like it's the first time I heard it.

And I believe that's because in my heart, I'm thinking like Jesus.

You see, if Jesus was standing on the road and some elderly person who's very

lonely started talking to him?

Do you think Jesus would say, I don't have time for you. I got to go right now.

Ministry is about people. And this is why, listen, God isn't getting down on

you. God's not trying to hurt you.

It's about people and it's about you. And if you want to be a blessing to anybody

in life, you too will have to change.

You too will have to stop being moody and rude and unmannerly and all the stuff that's of our flesh.

If we're going to be the disciple of Jesus, we have to be full of compassion.

Do you know the Bible talks about the two things that made Jesus do miracles? He had compassion.

That's what he had, compassion on people. He knew that they were but flesh.

It's all through the Bible. God had compassion too.

And so the minute that you and I think, let me tell you a little secret,

and I'm not getting down on people. I'm just trying to teach you what church to pick.

The minute that you think that person is so stupid, how come they don't know

this? How come they're so stupid and not listening? You're in the wrong lane.

What you should be saying is, God, I know they should know better,

but they keep making the wrong choices. Can you help them to see? That's compassion.

And I know it's easy sometimes to say, oh, you know, shove those people.

I've thought that, but that's not compassion. That person is going to hell.

That person's life is going to fall apart. And so you don't want to think that about people.

So Jesus said in Matthew 28, make disciples. Now, number two,

church was never about community alone.

So many people want to go to church because they want to feel community.

But can I tell you something?

If you've got all the good friends in the world, you go to all the best dinners

at church, your kids love the people, but you don't have a minister with power,

you could be playing some of the best church games.

And if your kids start struggling with an identity crisis and your boy thinks

he's a girl, you're not in a church that can help you.

If you go to a youth group now, and I'm not saying this because we don't have that.

I want, just so you know, I want this desperately. I want to have a mega complex

with so many fun things for kids that they would love to come. I'm just not there yet.

So I'm not saying we shouldn't have those things. We should.

But what I'm saying is if your sole reason is going to a church for community,

and the pastor's just so-so, or you go to church for the youth ministry,

but the pastor has no power, you're setting yourself up for a catastrophe, my friend.

And it's the same thing with the online preacher. If you just like their jokes,

their looks, which I'm very attracted to.

But if that's what you're after, who can you turn to when you're broken,

when the money doesn't come through, when your bills are due and you don't know

what to do, when your body's falling apart?

Who do you go to? Who are you going to listen to that's going to help you and strengthen you?

If you're just listening to some jokester, you're not going to get the help you need.

All right. Hebrews 10, 24. Consider one another to provoke unto love and good

works, not forsaking the assembly of ourselves.

You know, I always quote that part, don't forsake the assembly of yourself.

But I wasn't even thinking about the first half.

Ah, consider one another to provoke unto love and good works.

If somebody talks bad about you in charge, you've got a chance to exercise compassion.

If somebody's rude to you, you've got a chance to exercise the love of God.

If somebody is backbiting, you've got a chance to exercise forgiveness.

If somebody gets on your nerves, you've got a chance to exercise patience.

Why do we assemble? To provoke one another, to encourage one another,

to strengthen one another. Your church should be a place. I know you are, girl.

And let me just say, so if you're not watching, Marissa's making comments.

So somebody like Marissa and somebody like me, when you grow up being extra

tough, that's her background.

She can't help it. That's her background. That's how she's raised, super tough.

So then she's going to have to look for Jesus in the Bible, the compassionate Jesus, and be like him.

She can't be like her family, because then you're not being like Jesus. It's like me.

I can't be like my mama, because then I'm not being like Jesus.

I have to be just like Jesus. You understand?

Our method of measurement is Jesus, not our neighbor. Come on, comment, say, not you.

Not you. All right. So we're supposed to provoke, encourage,

and strengthen. All right.

This is one of the verses people overlook in Acts 4.23. And being let go,

they went to their own company. Talking about the apostles.

They wanted to go with people that were like them. So how do you pick the right church?

First of all, if you're a Christian, you should at least figure out what Jesus

wants and not pick what makes you comfortable. I'll give you,

for example, in the book of Acts, the apostles healed the sick,

raised the dead. Nobody lacked anything.

So we see healing, raising of the dead, nobody had any lack,

and they spoke with other tongues.

Those are four things that every church and every spiritual leader you follow

should have if you want to be the true church.

Well, my church says tongues isn't for today. You're in a screwed up church.

Well, my church says that we don't need money. You're in a goofy church.

Well, my church says that healing passed away with the apostles.

You're in a goofy church. And when you get cancer, you're gonna die.

And let me ask you a question. I'm gonna just put this out there for everyone listening.

If your church really believes that miracles passed away, why,

when you're sick, do they make you run to the doctor?

If you don't think God wants miracles, then don't treat yourself.

Don't go to the doctor. But everybody goes to the doctor.

You see how they're hypocrites? They tell you that miracles have passed away.

But sure enough, if you were to get the C word, they'd tell you immediately

to go to the hospital. Go get medicine.

For what? You don't believe in miracles. You don't want to be healed.

Because inside, you know you're supposed to be healed. You get that. Exactly. Okay.

They went to their own company. Being let go, they went to their own company

because they surrounded themselves with people of the same faith,

not doubters, not compromisers, not spectators.

Faith will grow in an atmosphere where you can change.

So what did the church that Jesus, you know, do look like? Again, this is for you.

How do you know who to follow online? Do you know how many people are online

preaching, acting like they're preachers? I know people that barely got out

of drug addiction two months ago, and they're acting like they're a preacher.

I know people that don't know anything

about anything and preachers have platformed them. It's a disaster.

They've not even been proven.

You can't platform people until they've been proven, and some people are hiding out in plain sight.

People shouldn't be excited to teach you the gospel because the Bible says teachers

will be held to a high accountability. Really high.

That's a good verse, Justin. All right. What did the Church of Jesus Christ look like?

So instead of asking what church has the best programs, ask what church looks like the book of Acts.

Do they preach repentance? Mark 115, Jesus said, repent. Do they preach salvation?

Do you go to your church every Sunday?

And at the end of service, nobody gives an altar call. Okay,

you're in a messed up church. They repented. They said, be baptized.

They received the Holy Ghost.

They healed the sick. Jesus, Matthew 4, 23. He healed all kinds of sickness.

And the disciples did it too in Mark 16. They'll lay hands on the sick and they recover.

People were healed. Jesus cast out devils. Paul commanded spirits to leave people.

Jesus promised that you'll speak with new tongues, Mark 16, 17,

and it happened. Not once, not twice, but repeatedly.

They laid hands on people. They believed. They were full of miracles.

Blind eyes were open. Prison doors were open. There were angels. There was deliverance.

Also, they lived generously.

The Bible says in Acts 4, 32, they laid money at the apostles' feet and nobody
