Marlins Sweep Nationals, Honor Hutton | Miami Marlins News
The Marlins roar back with a dominant three-game sweep of the Nationals, capped by a 6-2 win that proves their playoff push is serious business. A clutch two-run single from Xavier Edwards in the fifth sealed the deal, while Tommy Hutton was honored before the game — his granddaughters even threw out the ceremonial first pitches. The bullpen shut down Washington, and rookie Jack Ralston made a strong debut. With ace Sandy Alcantara set to start against the Red Sox, Miami’s momentum is building fast as the season winds down.
