- 0:00Speaker 1: What random recent tramblings with Robin digging through the details.
- 0:12Speaker 2: That's his job.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Sometimes days and no reports. He breaks hit down in
- 0:19Speaker 1: friendly shots random re trambolins with Rob.
- 0:31Speaker 3: All right, folks, we're taking a trip. I told you
- 0:34Speaker 3: we were going somewhere. We're heading right now out of
- 0:39Speaker 3: town and you can see in the wee wee distance
- 0:43Speaker 3: there the Blue Ridge Mountain Range. We're headed towards it.
- 0:51Speaker 3: We're not going to go over it. We are going
- 0:54Speaker 3: to go through it any little bit once we get
- 0:59Speaker 3: to harp Ferry, West Virginia, historic Harper's Ferry, West Virginia,
- 1:04Speaker 3: that is. But we'll cross that bridge literally and another
- 1:11Speaker 3: one once we get there, and I'll show you what
- 1:15Speaker 3: that looks like.
- 1:17Speaker 2: So we'll check in in a little bit. Let me
- 1:22Speaker 2: concentrate on driving for now. Be right back.
- 1:30Speaker 3: We are headed down into the belly of the Beast,
- 1:33Speaker 3: folks aka Harper's Ferry, where the Potomac River meets the Shenandoah,
- 1:45Speaker 3: and these ancient rivers have carved one hell of a
- 1:49Speaker 3: valley out of this bitch, and that's where we're headed
- 1:53Speaker 3: down into.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:55Speaker 3: We are actually on our way to Frederick, Maryland, which
- 1:58Speaker 3: says It's twenty one miles was away at this point.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Which is cool.
- 2:04Speaker 3: So we're about twenty miles away from our destination. That's right,
- 2:08Speaker 3: the former home of Harold Wiseberg, everybody who lived in
- 2:14Speaker 3: Hyattstown in Ayamsville, which have kind of been absorbed by Frederick,
- 2:20Speaker 3: that used to be on the outskirts of Frederick some
- 2:26Speaker 3: decades ago. But you know how cities spread over time.
- 2:31Speaker 3: And here we are, we're going over our first.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Bridge, and I will show you Harper's Ferry.
- 2:43Speaker 3: It is so beautiful here, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And of
- 2:53Speaker 3: course Harper's Ferry is where the John Brown slave rebellion
- 2:57Speaker 3: I believe took place back in the Civil War times
- 3:04Speaker 3: the mid eighteen hundreds if I'm remembering correctly.
- 3:07Speaker 2: It's been a very long time, probably a couple.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Of years, five seven years ago since I actually went
- 3:15Speaker 3: to Harvest Ferry and did the little tumor thing. I've
- 3:19Speaker 3: done it a couple of times in my life. But yeah,
- 3:25Speaker 3: truck going ahead, creep it up, asshole. Yeah, watch for
- 3:29Speaker 3: falling rocks. I used to drive these roads all the
- 3:35Speaker 3: time for work. As you can see, the rock face
- 3:41Speaker 3: of these cliffs are right there, and big chunks of
- 3:46Speaker 3: this shit fall off all the time, and some years
- 3:50Speaker 3: ago they came through here and put up some mesh
- 3:56Speaker 3: metal netting all over it to try to curb the
- 4:00Speaker 3: problem of.
- 4:02Speaker 4: These pieces of giant rock that fall off this shit.
- 4:08Speaker 2: So if you look really closely.
- 4:09Speaker 4: At the rock face, you can see the metal netting there.
- 4:14Speaker 2: There's some more no bueno.
- 4:19Speaker 3: As we say, all right, real quick, welcome to Virginia.
- 4:25Speaker 3: This is the tri state area where I'm in West Virginia.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Now a weird tip of Virginia also meets up here,
- 4:34Speaker 3: and so does Maryland.
- 4:37Speaker 2: So when you're up in Harper's.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Ferry on one of the trails where you can hike
- 4:43Speaker 3: all the way up to the top where allegedly George
- 4:46Speaker 3: Washington through a quarter across the Potomac as though he was.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Randy Johnson or something. You know, they love to tell
- 4:59Speaker 2: these tales.
- 5:01Speaker 3: But yeah, up here is where the three states meet Maryland,
- 5:05Speaker 3: West Virginia, and Virginia. So now we're in Virginia for
- 5:09Speaker 3: like two seconds. Once we get through this light up here,
- 5:12Speaker 3: we're gonna be in Maryland. And again right to the
- 5:16Speaker 3: left of me is the river and that is West Virginia.
- 5:21Speaker 2: All right, we're gonna blow through that yellow light and
- 5:23Speaker 2: fuck all you motherfuckers.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Harper's Ferry is a hot spot for kayaking and forms
- 5:32Speaker 3: of boating and tubing, hence all these shitty old buses.
- 5:39Speaker 4: And we're about to go over bridge number two, Bridge
- 5:43Speaker 4: number two, and.
- 5:46Speaker 3: I'll show you out over bridge number two. I mean
- 5:52Speaker 3: it's beautiful, it is definitely beautiful. A lot of people
- 5:58Speaker 3: do enjoy using this river for some slight whitewater rafting activities,
- 6:04Speaker 3: some tubing, some lazy tubing, you know where you just
- 6:09Speaker 3: hanging out in your tube and you got a tube
- 6:12Speaker 3: for your little twelve pack of beer on ice as well,
- 6:15Speaker 3: and you can go lazily on down the river while
- 6:19Speaker 3: you get sun burnt all the hell like you're so
- 6:22Speaker 3: drunk you just don't care.
- 6:24Speaker 4: All right, We're in Maryland, Maryland welcomes you.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And in about fifteen or twenty minutes or so we
- 6:31Speaker 3: are gonna be in Frederick, Maryland, and our destination where
- 6:35Speaker 3: we're going today. So once we get there, I will
- 6:40Speaker 3: hop back on here and it'll be twenty minutes for me,
- 6:45Speaker 3: two mile seconds for you.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Seeing a fit, seeing a bit peace.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Let me pop back on here. We just passed the
- 6:58Speaker 3: exit for Burkeettsville, Maryland. Now Burkerttsville, Maryland is known to
- 7:07Speaker 3: be the home of the Blair Witch. In fact, some
- 7:11Speaker 3: of the movie was shot in the little small village
- 7:17Speaker 3: of Burkettsville, Maryland. Some of the cemetery scenes at the beginning,
- 7:23Speaker 3: and I think the scene at the small store that
- 7:26Speaker 3: they stop at on the way to where they're going
- 7:29Speaker 3: at the beginning of the movie. Now, much of the interior,
- 7:35Speaker 3: you know, when they actually get into the woods, was filmed.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Over I think in the over in the Black Rock
- 7:43Speaker 5: State Park, which is over near Rockville, Maryland, which is
- 7:47Speaker 5: about forty minutes from here.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Thirty or forty miles from here. You have to go
- 7:52Speaker 3: to Frederick and head towards Rockville to get there. But
- 7:59Speaker 3: just a fun face, Blair Witch, Burkardsville, Maryland, we just
- 8:04Speaker 3: passed it. Okay, onward to Frederick.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Baby Well, folks, we have arrived at our destination. Wonder
- 8:17Speaker 6: books and video here in Frederick, Maryland. Let's go inside,
- 8:23Speaker 6: shall we?
- 8:26Speaker 3: You?
- 8:26Speaker 2: Boys?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Looking good gray and the beard matches the gray on
- 8:30Speaker 3: the shirt. Apparently, Let's go in here and see what
- 8:35Speaker 3: books we can find. I'm excited and I hope they
- 8:39Speaker 3: have vinyl two. It's been many years since I've been here,
- 8:42Speaker 3: and I can't wait to check it out. This is
- 8:44Speaker 3: where I used to procure most of my Kennedy books used,
- 8:49Speaker 3: of course, and for dirt cheap prices. So let's go
- 8:53Speaker 3: in here and see, many many years later, how this
- 8:57Speaker 3: is going to go. Peace Walking up on this place.
- 9:04Speaker 3: They have so much shit here that they have their
- 9:06Speaker 3: sidewalk outside filled with bookshelves. It's fucking crazy, so much shit.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Let's see what we can find, alight, Let's try this again,
- 9:26Speaker 7: see if any assholes want to run up on me.
- 9:38Speaker 7: They got some good stuff here.
- 9:40Speaker 8: So far, there's crossfire, but it continues.
- 10:16Speaker 9: There's Marve case Shu up there. Oh Jim, that'ser, and.
- 10:30Speaker 7: We've gotta signed Mark Lane for sixty five. Check out
- 10:36Speaker 7: this Oswald by Carrie Thornley, hum crazy down here. We've
- 10:55Speaker 7: got a Heritage of Stone, Jim Garrison, remaindy.
- 11:04Speaker 3: And one Dulls the Craft of Intelligence for three hundred
- 11:10Speaker 3: and fifty bucks signed.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Crazy.
- 11:18Speaker 2: All right, folks, there is the hull.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Right there in that bag. I did find one vinyl
- 11:30Speaker 3: in there, but we're just gonna have to wait till
- 11:33Speaker 3: we get home to see what is in the bag
- 11:36Speaker 3: and what vinyl Big Bad Bobe managed to find at
- 11:41Speaker 3: Wonder Books and video and CD and vinyl and cassette
- 11:47Speaker 3: and DVD and Blu ray and then everything else. So yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 3: we'll go through it when we get back.
- 12:03Speaker 2: All right, we're headed back. This is the long drive back.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I've got to pick up some things and then I'm
- 12:13Speaker 3: going to eat at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Ever.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I generally eat there about it once a week. The
- 12:26Speaker 3: food is amazing, the people are amazing, the atmosphere is amazing,
- 12:31Speaker 3: and I love it. You know, if I was ever
- 12:35Speaker 3: to win the lottery, I've told the guy this there too,
- 12:39Speaker 3: that I would hire away his chef and I would
- 12:43Speaker 3: just have him cook it for me twenty four to seven.
- 12:48Speaker 2: But the chances of that happening are pretty slim to none.
- 12:52Speaker 2: So I'm sure.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I'm sure he thinks he's safe. But yeah, all in all,
- 13:01Speaker 3: this trip is about an hour and fifteen minutes each
- 13:07Speaker 3: way for me. But to be able to go to
- 13:13Speaker 3: a bookstore of that caliber and that to have that
- 13:18Speaker 3: kind of selection and you.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Never know what you're walking into.
- 13:22Speaker 3: They are very good about rotating things in and out
- 13:27Speaker 3: of their sections. You know, it's probably one of my
- 13:33Speaker 3: favorite places. As soon as I walked in the door, man,
- 13:37Speaker 3: that smell hits you. That musty, mildy, old paper book,
- 13:44Speaker 3: old leather smell just smacks you in the nostrils as
- 13:49Speaker 3: soon as you walk in there.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. And course a bunch
- 13:57Speaker 2: of weird ass people in there don't have no manners.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Like as soon as I got to the eye with
- 14:05Speaker 3: the JFK books, nobody's in there, I literally I bit down.
- 14:10Speaker 3: I started the video to show you guys what I'm
- 14:13Speaker 3: looking at. Some asshole And look, the eyes aren't that big,
- 14:19Speaker 3: you know. And I'm big, bad bob. So if you
- 14:22Speaker 3: want to get past me, motherfucker, you got to ask nicely.
- 14:27Speaker 3: And it requires me to like basically put my dick
- 14:32Speaker 3: on the shelf and you know, to give you enough
- 14:36Speaker 3: room to get by me, you know what I'm saying.
- 14:39Speaker 3: So I'm pushing books in there with my with my
- 14:42Speaker 3: uh you know, and uh so I had to stop
- 14:49Speaker 3: recording and then he hovers like right beside me for
- 14:54Speaker 3: like five fucking minutes, and he saw me with my
- 14:58Speaker 3: phone out talking and when he came into aisle.
- 15:04Speaker 2: So people were just fucking weird.
- 15:08Speaker 8: Man.
- 15:09Speaker 3: And by the way, drivers in Maryland could kiss my ass,
- 15:17Speaker 3: hate him, hate him, bro, Like we ain't in DC yet,
- 15:24Speaker 3: you don't have to drive like a fucking asshole.
- 15:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I would compare the city of Frederick to you know,
- 15:31Speaker 3: the city of Winchester where I live, by the same size.
- 15:35Speaker 2: You know, I could.
- 15:36Speaker 3: I could drive across Winchester without reason my brother, without
- 15:40Speaker 3: reasoning my blood pressure up any But man, as soon
- 15:44Speaker 3: as I got into Frederick, these motherfuckers are zipping in
- 15:48Speaker 3: and zipping out and cutting you off and everything else
- 15:51Speaker 3: all up on your ass.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I did manage to flip one guy off.
- 15:55Speaker 3: He was on my ass, so I fucking break checked him.
- 16:00Speaker 2: And then he comes flying around me.
- 16:02Speaker 3: So I stuck my arm out the window and giving
- 16:04Speaker 3: the old big bad Bob salute and told him he
- 16:08Speaker 3: was number one. So fuck Maryland drivers. Is the UH
- 16:17Speaker 3: is the mantra here today. I don't like them. They
- 16:20Speaker 3: speed everywhere. I'm running seventy miles an hour now on
- 16:25Speaker 3: a road where the speed limit is sixty five and
- 16:27Speaker 3: I'm getting past like I'm standing still. I got people
- 16:31Speaker 3: behind me up my ass, just itching to get around me.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Here comes another one.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I guarantee you these people gotta be going freaking eighty
- 16:41Speaker 3: five ninety miles an hour, not a care.
- 16:44Speaker 2: In the world.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Don't like it, giving me back to the boonies, getting
- 16:52Speaker 3: me back to the country.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I am good.
- 16:56Speaker 3: There, and I hate getting anywhere near the city.
- 17:02Speaker 2: People cannot fing drive.
- 17:05Speaker 3: And their assholes and they're rude. I don't think I
- 17:10Speaker 3: met one nice person except for this one guy who
- 17:13Speaker 3: was working in the vinyl section.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I'm standing there.
- 17:19Speaker 3: In line behind these people waiting to check out, and
- 17:26Speaker 3: the guy looks at me. After the one guy leaves,
- 17:29Speaker 3: and he's like, oh, that guy over there was neck
- 17:32Speaker 3: because he's like, the line starts over there.
- 17:36Speaker 2: So I look over and there's like a sign.
- 17:38Speaker 3: That's like literally ten inches by like six inches. This
- 17:44Speaker 3: says in this handwritten scrawl, line starts here. I was like, oh, sorry,
- 17:49Speaker 3: well I didn't see your sign. That's my first time
- 17:52Speaker 3: here line. So I walk over and get in line
- 17:59Speaker 3: where the line's is, or where the sign says the
- 18:01Speaker 3: line is, and then he goes, okay, you're next. I'm like, motherfucker,
- 18:09Speaker 3: and I had an armful of shit too, Like I'll
- 18:15Speaker 3: tell you what I dropped. When I get back and
- 18:17Speaker 3: show you the hole. But uh, you know I wasn't
- 18:20Speaker 3: just buying one book. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 18:23Speaker 3: I'm paying your salary for the week, dude. But uh, anyway,
- 18:30Speaker 3: talk to you when we get back. I'm still in Maryland.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Still gotta go back to Harper's Ferry. Still gotta go
- 18:36Speaker 3: back to West Virginia, back to Virginia. So here we go,
- 18:42Speaker 3: and then I got some good Mexican to look forward to.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I'll show you that when we get there.
- 18:51Speaker 3: All right, we're back in Harper's Ferry, so I figured
- 18:55Speaker 3: i'd give you the other side view coming back. It's
- 19:00Speaker 3: so beautiful coming through here. Everything's nice and green.
- 19:07Speaker 2: It's lovely, lovely, lovely.
- 19:11Speaker 3: We're almost up here to the bridge, and then I'll
- 19:14Speaker 3: shoot you across the water a little bit so you
- 19:19Speaker 3: can check that out. There's some freaks walking. The Appalachian
- 19:27Speaker 3: Trail is right near here. Water level was looking a little.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Low at this time.
- 19:34Speaker 3: We definitely need some rain. There's another Appellation trail hiker.
- 19:44Speaker 3: This up here is the entrance into Harper's Ferry. Oh look,
- 19:48Speaker 3: there's easy Rider just swinging out. Yeah, you better stomp it, bruh,
- 19:54Speaker 3: stomp it. We got a big old hill to get
- 19:58Speaker 3: up out of this valley.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I wonder if he's got.
- 20:05Speaker 10: A chick on the back of that bike, you know,
- 20:06Speaker 10: I don't know, I don't know, maybe not. I reckon,
- 20:15Speaker 10: we'll see.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I don't know if this is making y'all
- 20:19Speaker 2: seasick or what. But uh, I don't know. I kind
- 20:24Speaker 2: of like the people. This guy's pretty.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Once you get out of Maryland, it's a nice relaxing drive.
- 20:38Speaker 3: We're back in West Virginia now, Pallo, lula. Ah, he
- 20:52Speaker 3: does have a chick on the back of the bike.
- 20:55Speaker 3: What's the baby shit?
- 21:00Speaker 2: All right?
- 21:01Speaker 3: As you were, I'll tell you one thing you don't
- 21:05Speaker 3: see very much of anymore. A long John Silvers and
- 21:12Speaker 3: an A and w all American.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Grill.
- 21:22Speaker 3: If I wasn't going to Mexican tonight, I know where
- 21:24Speaker 3: i'd be going right now. I'd be going to get
- 21:28Speaker 3: me some chicken of the Sea sleise and a corn
- 21:32Speaker 3: dog and some root beer.
- 21:34Speaker 2: But I gotta save up for the Mexican.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Oh boy, just leaving the Rancho, Winchester's best kept Mexican
- 21:48Speaker 3: restaurant secret.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Don't tell nobody.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Oh, my lord, I just had two amchilladas, a F burrito,
- 22:07Speaker 3: some Reef fried beans, some Mexican rice, and some tres
- 22:09Speaker 3: leche cake for dessert, and good lord, And yeah, I
- 22:16Speaker 3: changed vehicles when I got home.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I'm in my truck now.
- 22:22Speaker 3: I don't normally like to take it long distance because
- 22:26Speaker 3: it's all it's all jacked up and shit. So normally
- 22:32Speaker 3: used the cruise back and forth to working around town
- 22:34Speaker 3: and stuff, and the other cars for long distance and
- 22:37Speaker 3: every once in a.
- 22:37Speaker 2: While type thing, you know what I mean.
- 22:40Speaker 9: But yeah, the.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Rancho and it looks like it's getting ready to rain,
- 22:48Speaker 3: so let me get my ass home before it starts,
- 22:51Speaker 3: and we'll go through the hall.
- 22:56Speaker 2: All right, folks, what is up?
- 22:59Speaker 3: We're back. It is time to go through the hall.
- 23:02Speaker 3: What did I get? Well, let's start off with some
- 23:04Speaker 3: vinyl first. This is the only vinyl I picked up.
- 23:10Speaker 3: It's called Bobby in the Midnights. It's got the sweet
- 23:13Speaker 3: Cat giving a little wink on the front. This is
- 23:19Speaker 3: from nineteen eighty one Arista records. The late Great Bob
- 23:24Speaker 3: Weir from the Grateful Dead and also Bret Midland from
- 23:29Speaker 3: the Grateful Dead, and the rest are not grateful Dead members.
- 23:36Speaker 3: So this is kind of as a kind of a
- 23:39Speaker 3: solo outing utilizing some of his favorite musicians.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Again, this is from nineteen eighty one.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Here's the track list, side one, side too, and I
- 23:56Speaker 3: have looked at it and it is beautiful and not
- 23:59Speaker 3: scratched up at all. Bobby and the Midnights put your
- 24:05Speaker 3: boy back about forty nine ninety five. But that's okay.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I don't mind paying that for that album. It is
- 24:15Speaker 3: very very hard to find, all right. Next up, I
- 24:21Speaker 3: got some CDs, first one being George Harrison Cloud nine.
- 24:37Speaker 3: We have such great songs on here, such as when
- 24:41Speaker 3: we was fab dun d d d damn long time ago,
- 24:47Speaker 3: when we was fab dun dun dum Yeah. Cloud nine.
- 24:52Speaker 7: Of course.
- 24:55Speaker 3: This is love. I got my mind set on great
- 25:01Speaker 3: CD and I did not have it produced by Jeff
- 25:06Speaker 3: Lynn from Elo and George Harrison. Yeah, I believe this
- 25:13Speaker 3: is from nineteen eighty seven, Yes, nineteen eighty seven. Next up,
- 25:22Speaker 3: we have ten thousand Maniacs MTVM Plugged. Now, I haven't
- 25:28Speaker 3: thought about the ten thousand Maniacs in a very long time,
- 25:32Speaker 3: but I'm a fan of the Unplugged series.
- 25:36Speaker 8: These days.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I haven't heard that in a long time. So
- 25:45Speaker 3: I got this. This is from ninety three, Getting ten
- 25:49Speaker 3: thousand Maniacs MTV Unplugged.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Next up.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Smith, Pump Pump Baby.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Now this has such awesome hits as young Lust, going
- 26:12Speaker 3: Down Loving, and that elevator. Yeah, Janie's got a gun?
- 26:21Speaker 9: Who do.
- 26:24Speaker 3: What it takes? I mean, this is a great album.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Did not have it? Now I do one more CD.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I believe.
- 26:38Speaker 3: I had this in the nineties and I saw it
- 26:41Speaker 3: and I was like, you know what, Yeah, I need
- 26:45Speaker 3: to get that. I had a big, big crush on
- 26:51Speaker 3: the one all the way on the right.
- 26:54Speaker 7: Tea Balls.
- 26:58Speaker 3: This has such hits as creep, digging on You, Crazy, Sexy, Cool,
- 27:06Speaker 3: red Light Special as a good song to get your
- 27:11Speaker 3: to smash too, waterfalls of course.
- 27:15Speaker 7: Can I get a witness?
- 27:16Speaker 2: And if I was your girlfriend?
- 27:19Speaker 3: I mean, this is a classic classic.
- 27:25Speaker 7: And what's up? Tea Bows? When is this from? I
- 27:34Speaker 7: cannot read that.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Nineteen ninety four? All right, let's get into some Kennedy books,
- 27:42Speaker 3: shall we, since that's what we're here for. First up,
- 27:52Speaker 3: assassination of JFK by coincidence or conspiracy produced by the
- 28:01Speaker 3: CIA aka the Committee to Investigate assassinations under the direction
- 28:07Speaker 3: of Bernard Finch, the Wall Junior.
- 28:12Speaker 2: So pick this book up.
- 28:14Speaker 3: It's a little paperback. She's joh Thick though, And I
- 28:22Speaker 3: got that for four ninety five. Hello is steal over
- 28:28Speaker 3: two hundred photos. You can pause it if you'd like
- 28:34Speaker 3: to read the back.
- 28:38Speaker 9: So we got that.
- 28:41Speaker 2: And then.
- 28:47Speaker 3: A damn pristine mint copy of The Oswald Affair by
- 28:55Speaker 3: Leo Savage. An examination of the contradictions and omissions of
- 29:00Speaker 3: the Warren Report. Yeah, he was a French reporter who
- 29:06Speaker 3: was on to some a lot of things that nobody
- 29:09Speaker 3: was really talking about here. And this is a very
- 29:13Speaker 3: good book. And this copy is exceptionally immaculate for a
- 29:18Speaker 3: first gen copy.
- 29:21Speaker 7: I mean it's beautiful. It's in great condition.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I saw this book on Amazon for two or three
- 29:28Speaker 3: hundred dollars. I picked it up for.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Twenty four ninety five.
- 29:36Speaker 3: This was the most expensive book I picked up today.
- 29:40Speaker 3: The Oswald Affair by Leo Savage. Next up, let me
- 29:51Speaker 3: get my stamp and my free bookmark and my receipt
- 29:53Speaker 3: of outway. This one here doesn't have a cover, and
- 30:00Speaker 3: it's something I never saw or heard of before. It's
- 30:02Speaker 3: called a simple act of Murder by Mark Furman, and
- 30:06Speaker 3: I was like, isn't that the guy that crooked cop
- 30:11Speaker 3: that did the OJ case? And yes, it is the
- 30:16Speaker 3: crooked cop that did the OJ case. Got this one
- 30:19Speaker 3: for seven ninety.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Five, and.
- 30:26Speaker 7: I mean, it's.
- 30:29Speaker 3: It's got a lot here, So I wanted to get
- 30:33Speaker 3: it just to see what a former cop that investigated
- 30:37Speaker 3: the OJ thing you had to say about the jf
- 30:39Speaker 3: K assassination.
- 30:41Speaker 2: So there's that.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Couldn't pass it up. Assassination Science Experts speak out on
- 30:51Speaker 3: the death of JFK, edited by James Fetzer. Now, normally,
- 30:55Speaker 3: if this was just a Jim Fetzer book, I wouldn't
- 30:58Speaker 3: have gotten it. But it is a compilation from a
- 31:05Speaker 3: variety of authors, probably over twenty or thirty, and they
- 31:10Speaker 3: all have different essays in here pertaining to different things.
- 31:15Speaker 2: So and it was only.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Look at that handsome sum bitch eight ninety eight. Assassination Science.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Next up, Oh yeah, the one Walt Brown book that
- 31:35Speaker 3: I've been missing, Treachery in Dallas by Walt Brown. Yeah, baby, again,
- 31:47Speaker 3: here's the back pause that if you'd like to read it.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Got this one for ten ninety five. And I don't
- 31:55Speaker 3: know how they come up with their prices there. But again,
- 31:58Speaker 3: this is a beautiful first edition hardcover copy. I mean
- 32:03Speaker 3: it's in pristine condition for ten bucks. I had never
- 32:16Speaker 3: heard of this one before. It's called Top Secret, Kill Kennedy,
- 32:22Speaker 3: The Secret Files. They never wanted you to see how
- 32:25Speaker 3: twenty twenty fives declassified documents reveal the machinery of American power.
- 32:32Speaker 3: So it's like, damn, this must be a pretty recent
- 32:33Speaker 3: book if they're talking about the twenty twenty five fire release.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I'm not sure who Cecil Hawthorn is, but picked it
- 32:46Speaker 3: up for eleven ninety eight. Man, it's a little thick,
- 32:50Speaker 3: a little dick, so it should be interesting read.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Let's see. That's it for Kennedy books.
- 32:57Speaker 3: But I did get two other books because you know,
- 33:03Speaker 3: the Kennedy assassination is not the only thing that I'm into.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Zodi actually the real story of a fake serial killer.
- 33:17Speaker 3: So this book explores the theory that there.
- 33:20Speaker 9: Was no.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Quote unquote Zodiac killer, that it was.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Possibly somebody taking credit for other murders or several different
- 33:36Speaker 3: quote unquote Zodiac murders, and also looks at Detective Toski
- 33:43Speaker 3: from the SFPD.
- 33:44Speaker 2: He's a little.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Suss and it's not that long. It's not that thick,
- 33:50Speaker 3: so it should be a pretty good read, easy book
- 33:54Speaker 3: that was on sale. They had like thirty copies of
- 33:57Speaker 3: that thing for four nine apiece Zodi actually and the
- 34:04Speaker 3: last purchased as I'm rummerging in my Wonder book sack.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Is it empty?
- 34:12Speaker 9: It's empty? It's empty.
- 34:16Speaker 3: This is the last book Paper Towns by John Green.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Call me gay, whatever you want, but I watched the
- 34:30Speaker 3: movie The Fault in Our Stars a couple of weeks ago,
- 34:36Speaker 3: and I cried like a little bitch during this movie.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I'm mad enough to admit it. And h.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I'm aware that this novel is also a movie, but
- 34:51Speaker 3: it is not available on streaming, so I could not
- 34:53Speaker 3: watch it. But I saw the book and I was like, hey,
- 34:56Speaker 3: you know what, Okay, what the hell?
- 35:00Speaker 2: This was literally two ninety nine.
- 35:02Speaker 3: It's not that bad, so I figured I'd give it
- 35:07Speaker 3: a shot. But yeah, no, homo, And that is the
- 35:13Speaker 3: Hall in the grand total of this, Hall said Hall.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Said Lauren Hall.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Let's see one hundred and forty nine dollars and seventy
- 35:30Speaker 3: eight cents to chang to chang. Yeah, so yeah, this
- 35:42Speaker 3: is a wonder book. They are online at Wonderbook dot
