- 1:10Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Friday edition of Half-Faith Let It Begin.
- 1:15Before I begin, just want to let you know, all the Valley Central graduates
- 1:19out there, this Friday, that's right, tonight, in our local area,
- 1:23Sweeney's Bar, DJ Eric Santana returns.
- 1:26Turns it starts at 7 30 i believe all the way
- 1:29to 11 30 at night it is a valley central reunion make
- 1:32sure you make it out there it's going to be awesome that is tonight
- 1:35at sweeney's right there off of route 208 enjoy
- 1:39it i know you guys are going to have a great time i'm going to try to make an
- 1:42appearance myself all right half eight let it begin is on the air and how are
- 1:47we doing this well it's quite simple you know talking about reunions and talking
- 1:52about family and All the things that we do to come together is really the concept of today's episode.
- 1:58When we get together, and I'm over here walking Cody this morning,
- 2:01when we get together as a family, we unite as one.
- 2:06We come together and we are excited about what we do as a family.
- 2:12For many of you out there, you know a lot about everything that you've done for me.
- 2:18So I wanted to finally tell you what's going on. So my dad was hospitalized on Sunday night.
- 2:24I won't get into his medical information, break his medical HIPAA laws, right?
- 2:31But when he was put into the hospital, it was nothing too serious,
- 2:36but something that we needed to make sure it was taken care of.
- 2:40And when it was all said and done, I was released just yesterday.
- 2:44Everything that was supposed to happen, he was supposed to have a surgery.
- 2:48And with prayer, all of a sudden, it just was out the door.
- 2:53So power of prayer really came through. And I want to thank all those that were
- 2:57in the knowledge of my dad being in the hospital.
- 3:00And I want to just let everyone out there know, I apologize for not really getting
- 3:05into detail and sharing that with you.
- 3:07But because it was such touch and go, I wasn't really sure how I was going to talk about it.
- 3:13And I, you know, one of the things that I want to point out here is that sometimes,
- 3:19and this is no disrespect to anybody else, but sometimes I feel that in social
- 3:23media world, people will tend to go out there and post things just for views or maybe sympathy.
- 3:30For me, I'd rather tell you what's happening after, unless it's something really,
- 3:34really crucial. And I know that I could use the extra power of prayer that,
- 3:38of course, I'll put that out there.
- 3:40But when it comes to family, immediate family, that is, I didn't want to expose
- 3:45that and put that out there.
- 3:48So I just wanted you to be aware of that and understand that that's the way I look at things.
- 3:53Many of you may say, well, Angel, if you would have posted and talked about
- 3:57it, we could have prayed about it. I know, but that's just the way I'm looking at it.
- 4:01I apologize if I offend anybody, but I needed that for myself and my family
- 4:08to not put that that out there, especially since I didn't get any permission.
- 4:12You know, I would have asked my dad, hey, is it okay to post that on half faith, let it begin.
- 4:17So he's home. And now we're going to have a little get together.
- 4:21We're going to celebrate his discharge. And we're going to finally celebrate
- 4:25Father's Day the right way, because he went in on Father's Day.
- 4:29And we didn't really get a chance to do a Father's Day celebration.
- 4:33So reunions is getting together. And it doesn't always have to be about a holiday.
- 4:39It doesn't always have to be about someone's birthday.
- 4:41It doesn't have to be even so much as a discharge celebration.
- 4:46It's just getting together.
- 4:49Now, if you need those excuses to come together, hey, great.
- 4:52Awesome. But why wait for those days when you could just have it almost every
- 4:57other day or once a week? One of the things that I feel that I've,
- 5:02I failed at, you know, with my father-in-law, who's gone on to me with the Lord.
- 5:07I didn't try hard enough.
- 5:08I didn't try. I was stubborn.
- 5:11I held a grudge. And I wasn't smart or thoughtful or forgiving enough to let
- 5:19him in the way I should have.
- 5:21And that's something that I'll take, you know, to the day I meet him again.
- 5:26And I hope that he can forgive me for that. because I didn't get a chance to
- 5:30tell him how I felt. And I don't know if he heard me.
- 5:32I'm sure he hears me now, but it would have been great to do that here on earth.
- 5:37So the purpose of today is that, you know, I want you to just take in on what
- 5:43a family reunion is about, what a friendship reunion is about,
- 5:47what coming together is all about,
- 5:49laughing, telling stories and sharing with the others about everything that's gone on in your life.
- 5:54And I know a lot of you out there are very busy these days.
- 5:58I know I haven't even spoken to
- 5:59my really good friend Brian in a very long time. I know he's got two jobs.
- 6:04But, you know, we have to come together. We have to find a common ground.
- 6:08And even if we can speak once a month, if you're too busy, it's important.
- 6:11So I want you guys to think about that today as you go about your Friday.
- 6:16And remember that it's okay to come together and reunite. Let's pray.
- 6:26Heavenly Father, as you sat at the Last Supper and you slowly told your disciples,
- 6:32that you were going to be going away and that one day you'll see me again.
- 6:40We must remember that as we sit at our tables and we speak to others,
- 6:45we don't know when we're going to see each other.
- 6:49Sometimes when we leave one another, that may be the last time.
- 6:53It should not take so long.
- 6:55Let us remember to come together. Let us remember to share in our deepest thoughts,
- 7:01and to remember to tell each other that we love each other.
- 7:05Remember not to be strangers. Remember to learn to forgive. to forget and to
- 7:12move in the right direction.
- 7:14We pray for Linda. We pray for Diane. We pray for those that have lost their jobs in healthcare.
- 7:21We pray for forgiveness. We pray for understanding.
- 7:25We pray for our half-eight, let it begin family. We thank Tony for a beautiful
- 7:29t-shirt that she gave me and thank her for inspiring me to not be afraid to
- 7:36go out into the world and show the world who I am,
- 7:40by donning my hat to John 3.16,
- 7:43by putting on your T-shirt and allowing others to come up to me and say,
- 7:47oh my God, I needed to hear that. Amazing.
- 7:51Well, we close today by saying thank you to everybody in Have Faith,
- 7:55Let It Begin and remind you that God loves you, God believes in you,
- 8:01God trusts you, and God is never going to leave your side.
- 8:05As the wind picks up here, I'm walking Cody. I think it's going to rain.
- 8:09I thank you all for a beautiful morning.
- 8:12And always remember to have faith and let it begin.
- 8:16Have a great weekend. I'll see you Monday. And Dr. E will be back. Take care.
- 8:22Music.
