- 2:41Speaker 1: It wasn't three. It wasn't three. I love one in two.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know what I means, like equally listen code to
- 2:46Speaker 1: the Friend is here. Welcome, Man's un welcome. I feel
- 2:49Speaker 1: like it's been a shit. I don't even know the
- 2:50Speaker 1: last time you came on the show. It was like
- 2:52Speaker 1: and when I was at the radio station, and I
- 2:56Speaker 1: don't even know how long ago, was it twenty eighteen
- 2:58Speaker 1: or nineteen? I think twenty eight long ass time ago.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You've definitely glowed up since then. Things have been going
- 3:05Speaker 1: very very well for you. But yeah, what's been going on? Man,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I've just been working working on a new album. I'm
- 3:11Speaker 1: always working on music, you know. So I'm just I
- 3:14Speaker 1: saw on Twitter you said you can't wait to turn
- 3:16Speaker 1: this album in. Yeah, so does that mean you're are
- 3:19Speaker 1: you are? Like what's your label situation now? Because things
- 3:21Speaker 1: have changed since we first kind of came to contact
- 3:24Speaker 1: with you, Like you're very much doing your thing. Like
- 3:27Speaker 1: I said, are you signed now or no? I'm still independent.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Like I work with a company called Venice. Oh, shout
- 3:35Speaker 1: out to Venice. They do tweets music. Yeah, shout out
- 3:38Speaker 1: to Venice, the really dope companystro mm hm. They distribute
- 3:42Speaker 1: my music and I get to put it out whenever
- 3:45Speaker 1: I want. That's a beautiful thing. That's a beautiful thing. Man.
- 3:49Speaker 1: When do you feel like things started to like really
- 3:50Speaker 1: because what I always loved about like your videos and
- 3:54Speaker 1: your content was it was always so simple, but like
- 3:57Speaker 1: the way you would do like your lyrics to go
- 3:59Speaker 1: videos with the yellow font and it just to me
- 4:03Speaker 1: was like a very dope way to not really have
- 4:08Speaker 1: it because you know, people always think they got to
- 4:10Speaker 1: put up this outlet, this video content, and it's like
- 4:13Speaker 1: you really don't need to do that. You really just
- 4:15Speaker 1: got to do like something that looks good esthetically pleasing,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and you were putting up a lot of those videos,
- 4:22Speaker 1: Like I feel like that's kind of like you've been
- 4:24Speaker 1: doing that for a minute. You're still doing it. Yeah,
- 4:26Speaker 1: I'm still doing it. It was honestly it came. I
- 4:29Speaker 1: did it because I didn't have any money to get
- 4:31Speaker 1: any real videos done, and like I have a background
- 4:35Speaker 1: in like video production, right and editing, So I was like, Yo,
- 4:38Speaker 1: this is a good way to just get my face
- 4:40Speaker 1: out there at least while I don't have any resources.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And it turned out like it went viral Like the
- 4:47Speaker 1: first one I did, it was like it went more
- 4:49Speaker 1: viral than anything out of it done. So I was
- 4:51Speaker 1: just like, shit, why don't I just keep on? We
- 4:53Speaker 1: shoot on your iPhone? Nah, I shoot on the camera.
- 4:56Speaker 1: It's the same camera camera for the past like four
- 4:58Speaker 1: years of Panasonic shout out to the five. Five is
- 5:02Speaker 1: the hell of a camera, especially you get to write
- 5:04Speaker 1: lens on that thing, shoot any video on that. I'll
- 5:06Speaker 1: put the L series, the Canon L series on that joint,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and we just we just go. Do you like like
- 5:13Speaker 1: outside of those videos, like, do you have a lot
- 5:16Speaker 1: like when you even when you bring in like an
- 5:17Speaker 1: outside director, do you still have a lot of say,
- 5:19Speaker 1: like kind of in individuals, Well, since you kind of
- 5:22Speaker 1: have background in that, I've never done. I've never had
- 5:27Speaker 1: an outside director or like videographer. Everything's in house. Everything's
- 5:32Speaker 1: in house. But I plan on getting somebody to do
- 5:36Speaker 1: my videos at some point. You know, do you have
- 5:38Speaker 1: like a guy you use or you just all you?
- 5:40Speaker 1: It's on me. Do you edit so you edit your
- 5:42Speaker 1: own videos? Yeah, edit my own videos. That's fire, thank you.
- 5:45Speaker 1: What all in the creative process do you handle yourself everywhere? Like,
- 5:51Speaker 1: as far as I produce my own stuff, I write, obviously,
- 5:55Speaker 1: I record myself. The only thing I don't do is mix,
- 5:59Speaker 1: Like I'm not in engineer. I can't. I can't. I
- 6:01Speaker 1: can mix well enough only so you can hear it
- 6:03Speaker 1: and be like, oh this is cool. But like I
- 6:05Speaker 1: never like what people hear on the record is not me.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Makes you make the beats? You record yourself? You're right,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you're doing the videos. Are you doing the hard work? Yeah?
- 6:13Speaker 1: I do the artwork a lot of times. Wow. Yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 1: that's pretty big man. Also keeps a lot of money
- 6:19Speaker 1: in your pockets. Yeah, but it's fun for me, Like
- 6:21Speaker 1: I think, I just like creating this stuff. So it's
- 6:25Speaker 1: nothing for me to do all this stuff because I
- 6:26Speaker 1: have fun doing it, you know. Like even when I
- 6:29Speaker 1: feel like soon I'm going to step away from rap
- 6:31Speaker 1: to do some other cool shit, you know what I mean,
- 6:33Speaker 1: it's just like I just want to make cool shit.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Like what if let's say you step away from rapp
- 6:38Speaker 1: in two years? What is what? What do you want
- 6:41Speaker 1: to do? I want to like see my friends win,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know. So it's like I want to build their careers.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And it's like because that's how fun it is for
- 6:48Speaker 1: me just to do stuff and to see it work.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So I just really want to focus on supporting the
- 6:54Speaker 1: people around me and seeing what they can do with
- 6:57Speaker 1: their you know, with their talents. Do you feel like
- 6:59Speaker 1: you have like a lot of just because you've done
- 7:04Speaker 1: a good job of developing like a core fan base,
- 7:08Speaker 1: like you said, like putting out content. Do you feel
- 7:10Speaker 1: like you kind of have like a bit of a
- 7:12Speaker 1: formula down that other artists can apply to what they're doing. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I thought I did. You know? Right? Then shit changes,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you know, shit hit does changing like crazy, Like the
- 7:23Speaker 1: social media landscape, like Instagram was a big thing for me,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and like how I came up and it's completely TikTok
- 7:31Speaker 1: tiktoks and like now I'm like, I'm old. I'm gonna
- 7:34Speaker 1: I'm the old man now. So it's just like I'm
- 7:36Speaker 1: trying to catch up. So honestly, I'm watching younger artists
- 7:39Speaker 1: and younger indie artists and seeing how they do it,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and I'm like, you know, no, it's definitely different, like
- 7:43Speaker 1: with like the du ads, like I've been doingicing, so
- 7:45Speaker 1: many producers coming up with that will they'll do the
- 7:47Speaker 1: beats and then like have hell of TikTok rappers rap
- 7:49Speaker 1: over there, Like shout out to Kato Kato right right
- 7:52Speaker 1: lowing up. He killed that shit and he's always been
- 7:55Speaker 1: that dude, but like TikTok put him on another level.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Shout out to man, I've seen it. You see him
- 8:01Speaker 1: everywhere else one hundred percent. Let's get to like kind
- 8:03Speaker 1: of some of your roots, man, Like, uh, you're from
- 8:06Speaker 1: New York, right, yes, sir? What borrore? You from Brooklyn?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Shout out to Brooklyn when like did you finally decide
- 8:16Speaker 1: like rapping was kind of what you wanted to do?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Like maybe not necessarily like getting money off of it,
- 8:23Speaker 1: but you just kind of said, Okay, this is kind
- 8:25Speaker 1: of where like how old were you when when you
- 8:27Speaker 1: decided that that was kind of like where you wanted
- 8:29Speaker 1: to go. Yeah, I think it was pretty much just
- 8:32Speaker 1: like a hobby until like my my son was about
- 8:36Speaker 1: to be born, and I was just like, I really
- 8:39Speaker 1: got to pick something, you know. It's like everything was
- 8:42Speaker 1: a hobby. I was making videos, I was I was rapping,
- 8:45Speaker 1: but obviously I wasn't making money off of rap. But
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know, I had a choice to make. It was
- 8:50Speaker 1: like either I'm gonna do this video thing or I'm
- 8:52Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna make this this music shit work. And
- 8:55Speaker 1: so I was just like, yo, I'm gonna just do this.
- 8:58Speaker 1: You know, I'm just make music because I love it
- 8:59Speaker 1: and it was the funniest thing to do. And so
- 9:02Speaker 1: I was like, it's pretty I mean, yeah, I knew
- 9:04Speaker 1: you were about to have a kid. So that's a
- 9:06Speaker 1: pretty uh brought's a pretty brave thing to step like
- 9:09Speaker 1: you had it. Did you have a normal job at
- 9:11Speaker 1: the time. I was shooting videos, so you were just
- 9:13Speaker 1: shooting you were the video guy. Yeah, it was the
- 9:15Speaker 1: video guy. It's crazy. I mean, I mean it's a
- 9:18Speaker 1: nice skill to have if you're going to be an artist.
- 9:21Speaker 1: That's one of the more expensive costs that artists have,
- 9:25Speaker 1: shooting videos. When did you start writing originally? Like, was
- 9:28Speaker 1: it in high school? Was it earlier than Like when
- 9:30Speaker 1: did you first start kind of just start writing and
- 9:32Speaker 1: developing your craft? I started writing when I was like
- 9:35Speaker 1: probably like eight or something like that. Like I was
- 9:38Speaker 1: a kid, and we were just obviously be watching bet
- 9:41Speaker 1: watching a one o six countdown, of course, and we're
- 9:44Speaker 1: just like, yo, we want to be I want to
- 9:45Speaker 1: be jay Z. I want to be this. So we
- 9:47Speaker 1: would me and my cousins will all get together at
- 9:49Speaker 1: the table at my grandma's table, and we just write raps,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you know, and we were cauode on like a little
- 9:56Speaker 1: like tape recorder. And so that's when I, honestly, I
- 10:00Speaker 1: I wrote raps like I wrote full raps to like
- 10:02Speaker 1: jay Z instrumentals, like as a kid. So where were
- 10:06Speaker 1: you getting jay Z instrumentals at LimeWire? Shout out to
- 10:10Speaker 1: Linewire you were you were sucking up your granmar'slat fucking computer. No,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I had the I had to. I had the kind
- 10:18Speaker 1: of the formula to not get the viruses, Bro, what
- 10:21Speaker 1: was that formula? T Bro? It's too late now, but
- 10:26Speaker 1: but like I'm like, dude, I used to do in
- 10:28Speaker 1: every computer I had I got you, Bro, What I
- 10:30Speaker 1: would do is I would download the line wire right,
- 10:33Speaker 1: download Mad songs like Mad songs at once, right, and
- 10:36Speaker 1: then I would just you had to completely remove it
- 10:39Speaker 1: off your computer, you know, like you know, and then
- 10:42Speaker 1: I would wait a couple of days and I would
- 10:44Speaker 1: put it back on, you know. So I would do
- 10:47Speaker 1: that like every every two days or so, because like
- 10:50Speaker 1: because because I think the virus part would come in
- 10:53Speaker 1: because you're everyone was leaching off your files, right. But
- 10:56Speaker 1: I feel like that's why you can't let it sit
- 10:58Speaker 1: on your computer, you know what I mean? Like if
- 11:00Speaker 1: I feel like, if it sits on your computer, then
- 11:02Speaker 1: that's when it goes crazy, you know. But because I
- 11:04Speaker 1: took it off, I'm telling you, I never really had
- 11:06Speaker 1: a problem. The LimeWire era was real bare share LimeWire.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I never. I only was on Napster once I didn't
- 11:15Speaker 1: have a computer yet. When Napster was popping, I went
- 11:17Speaker 1: to my cousin's girlfriend's house and downloaded the Big l
- 11:20Speaker 1: j Z Freestyle. Oh yeah, you gotta head it. It's
- 11:23Speaker 1: funny because back then, like if you think about like
- 11:25Speaker 1: the shit like when like that shit was popping, the
- 11:28Speaker 1: random shit you would download be like, hell a freestyle.
- 11:31Speaker 1: You would just type in like a rapper you liked
- 11:33Speaker 1: freestyle and then you'd hit download and like it'd be
- 11:36Speaker 1: it either be fire or it would be nothing. That
- 11:40Speaker 1: the description would be wild to be a radio rip
- 11:42Speaker 1: right right. It was crazy not And I think that's
- 11:45Speaker 1: the beauty in it because I would find so much.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I was a big Kanye fan, right, so I would
- 11:51Speaker 1: find all Kanye shit, Like even to this day. I
- 11:54Speaker 1: could tell people. I tell people, Yo, you ever heard
- 11:56Speaker 1: this song? They're like, that's not a se me too,
- 11:59Speaker 1: man like all of like like the whack ends, And
- 12:01Speaker 1: I mean, I remember when he did the original home
- 12:06Speaker 1: ended up being Homecoming with the dude from fucking cold Play,
- 12:09Speaker 1: And I'm like, this song is like six years old
- 12:11Speaker 1: and John Legend was on that one, right, John Legend
- 12:13Speaker 1: was on that joint see the original. Yeah, I had
- 12:16Speaker 1: some of them freestyles he had, Yeah, the cond like
- 12:20Speaker 1: the was it the milkshake freestyle he did with Common. Yeah,
- 12:26Speaker 1: there was some ill Kanye shit. Yeah, because he was
- 12:29Speaker 1: coming up at the time, he was still like on
- 12:31Speaker 1: the come up and that was his real I remember
- 12:33Speaker 1: being on the Rockafeller website like listening to snippets of
- 12:38Speaker 1: Late Registration, and when you actually heard the album, the
- 12:41Speaker 1: album was completely different than the snippets that they were playing.
- 12:44Speaker 1: He had that one record where he was sampling a
- 12:49Speaker 1: part of The Martin Show. It was like, we can't
- 12:52Speaker 1: even sit in talk. What at you? Oh man? That?
- 12:56Speaker 1: Like I heard that? Oh my, I heard that? How
- 12:58Speaker 1: do you twenty? Oh? Yeah? So I'm thirty five. So yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 1: I was like a sophomore in high school. My boy
- 13:04Speaker 1: was putting me on a like Kanye tapes and this
- 13:06Speaker 1: was like a year and a half or two before
- 13:08Speaker 1: the college dropout. So we were like, so I had,
- 13:11Speaker 1: like I had a burned CD with like twenty seven
- 13:14Speaker 1: Kanye songs on it that was random like pre college
- 13:17Speaker 1: drop o. Yeah. And then my best friend's brother ended
- 13:20Speaker 1: up touring with that. He's in a group called Dilated
- 13:23Speaker 1: People's and so he toured. They opened up for Kanye
- 13:27Speaker 1: on the college Dropout tour. So I was like fourteen.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I got a picture of Kanye when I was fourteen fifteen.
- 13:32Speaker 1: That's crazy. He was wearing a pink polo. He was
- 13:35Speaker 1: wearing a shirt with a It was a Bill Gates mugshot.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It was a college dropout shirt, but it had like
- 13:42Speaker 1: Bill Gates like in the seventies on it. That's crazy. Yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 1: it was Dilated People's Kanye, and I went to the
- 13:49Speaker 1: album release show. I went to the Dilated People's album
- 13:54Speaker 1: release show in LA which was a part of the
- 13:56Speaker 1: College Dropout tour, and he brought out Oh the Young
- 14:00Speaker 1: Guns draw on that tour too young Guns on that tour. Yeah,
- 14:04Speaker 1: that was wild. I still have my merch from that show.
- 14:08Speaker 1: It was like a Blue Collars drop offsh are you
- 14:09Speaker 1: signed it? Shout to ya, shout out to you the greatest.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Did you buy a stem Player? No? Are you gonna
- 14:16Speaker 1: buy one? I don't even know how to. I just
- 14:18Speaker 1: went on his website and bought it. He's going to
- 14:19Speaker 1: on the website. Honestly. I was talking about that the
- 14:21Speaker 1: other day. I was like, h stemplay Listen. If I
- 14:25Speaker 1: can help anyone break the music industry from raping artists,
- 14:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it, And especially if it's Kanye. Here's
- 14:31Speaker 1: two hundred dollars right right right? I just I hate
- 14:35Speaker 1: the music industry and how yo, that's the big predatory
- 14:38Speaker 1: it is. So if like Kanye can like break it,
- 14:41Speaker 1: let's break it. I'm with it. That's a good idea. Man.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I was pondered. If somebody asked me the other day, like,
- 14:46Speaker 1: are you gonna buy the Stemplay? I said no? And
- 14:49Speaker 1: then I instantly was like, but why not? You know
- 14:51Speaker 1: what I mean? Like I think about it. If someone
- 14:53Speaker 1: told you ten years ago, Yo, there's this exclusive album
- 14:58Speaker 1: from Kanye West. It's two hundred bucks and you own
- 15:00Speaker 1: it forever and you get to break down the stems
- 15:02Speaker 1: on it, you'd be like, yeah, this is the only
- 15:06Speaker 1: place I can hear this. Did you say you get
- 15:09Speaker 1: to break down the stems on it? Yeah? So it's like,
- 15:12Speaker 1: so it's stem there's four there's four stems. So there's
- 15:16Speaker 1: the it's the vocals, the bass, the beat. So you
- 15:21Speaker 1: can like listen to it in in the whatever way
- 15:24Speaker 1: you want, like you could, bro it's fucking crazy. That's
- 15:28Speaker 1: why they call it a stem player. Now it makes sense.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But that ship is crazy. Nah, that's gene. You could
- 15:34Speaker 1: like turn up like the like you can set the
- 15:37Speaker 1: levels like. It's pretty wild. He did it with the
- 15:40Speaker 1: first Donda, Wow, Ran was the first Donda. Was that
- 15:44Speaker 1: when he first did ittype it's different. Yeah, I'm like, yo,
- 15:49Speaker 1: fuck this music industry actually device especially it's like a
- 15:52Speaker 1: fucking it looks like a fucking Bluetooth speaker. Low Ki, Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I'm a cover it. I'm a cover should Yeah, So
- 16:01Speaker 1: you could like you pretty much update it. So like
- 16:06Speaker 1: the version of Donda two is not even mastered right now,
- 16:09Speaker 1: but I guess Mike deanis mixed and mastered it. So
- 16:12Speaker 1: like the new version you're gonna be able to like
- 16:14Speaker 1: upload onto your stem player because like right now it's
- 16:17Speaker 1: like super unfinished demos. But it's kind of cool that
- 16:19Speaker 1: you could like listen to the whole process and just
- 16:23Speaker 1: plug your shit in and update it. He kind of
- 16:25Speaker 1: did that with Pablo look key. He was like updating
- 16:27Speaker 1: Pablo while it was on Spotify right right right. He
- 16:30Speaker 1: been at Division. You already had the vision, Yeah, I
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't know. It's kind of like, uh, who's your Who
- 16:37Speaker 1: was like very formative in like forming your style, your
- 16:40Speaker 1: kind of what you do. It was a few people.
- 16:42Speaker 1: It was Kanye, it was Pharrell, it was jay Z.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I feel like it was jay Z lyrically, it was
- 16:48Speaker 1: Kanye as far as like the sound and a production,
- 16:51Speaker 1: like for real, I just always liked his whole vibe
- 16:54Speaker 1: in his production, and like his voice and everything and
- 16:56Speaker 1: how he like implemented different genres and so I think
- 17:00Speaker 1: those three is like they were the biggest for me.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Pharrell's that guy man, and he don't age. It's kind
- 17:06Speaker 1: of crazy. He still looks He still looks like he's
- 17:10Speaker 1: twenty four years old, he said. He it's because he
- 17:12Speaker 1: watches his face with cold woulda you know, and he
- 17:16Speaker 1: got laser removal on all his tattoos. Usually that doesn't
- 17:19Speaker 1: go well. He's paralo, so you know, he's a legend.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I can't wait this new Pusher T album. They're saying
- 17:25Speaker 1: it's half produced by Pharrell, half half produced by the Neptunes,
- 17:29Speaker 1: half produced by Yay as well. Wait, wait where the
- 17:33Speaker 1: fuck is my clips album? It fell down and broke.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It's supposed to be right there, Lord Willing is usually
- 17:37Speaker 1: right there. Instead we have a floating fucking foot shout
- 17:41Speaker 1: out to odd socks, So you uh the new album.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I feel like lyrics to go are we considering those
- 17:50Speaker 1: projects are kind of more just like they feel those
- 17:54Speaker 1: are like those are the projects. They're like things that
- 17:57Speaker 1: I drop at the beginning of the year to show
- 17:59Speaker 1: people like what I'm thinking was on my mind and
- 18:01Speaker 1: how I'm going into you know, album mode was the
- 18:04Speaker 1: album in twenty twenty yr like real debut album. My
- 18:09Speaker 1: debut album was in twenty nineteen. Go on photo. The
- 18:12Speaker 1: one in twenty twenty is the one that had Joey
- 18:14Speaker 1: Badass Boss on the record. That shit was fire. Are
- 18:19Speaker 1: you an album mode right now? Is this? Yeah? Yeah,
- 18:21Speaker 1: I'm an album movie. You just sold out a show
- 18:22Speaker 1: in La twelve hundred people. Yeah, it's a pretty big deal.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Was that Fonda? What was the venue? The Vermont Vermont? Yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 1: that's gotta be dope. Do you remember, because like you
- 18:34Speaker 1: used to be managed by Sean Healy, so I'm sure
- 18:36Speaker 1: you've done a bunch of random ass shows. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:41Speaker 1: do you remember, Like, what's the most random shit you
- 18:44Speaker 1: opened the show for? Because I had to have been
- 18:48Speaker 1: super random, Like I don't even remember the guy's name, honestly, Well,
- 18:52Speaker 1: what about one that you do remember that was just
- 18:54Speaker 1: like what the fuck is going on here? Like I
- 18:57Speaker 1: just opened up for like half of the Gang Twins
- 19:00Speaker 1: or something. Honestly, I wish I had that kind of
- 19:02Speaker 1: experience bro, Like early on, I think, I mean, it
- 19:07Speaker 1: wasn't really random. I opened up for Loupe and that
- 19:09Speaker 1: was that was a vibe. Obviously that was fast. Yeah,
- 19:13Speaker 1: watching him perform, it was just crazy. But the only
- 19:19Speaker 1: one I know. I don't remember the person's name, but
- 19:22Speaker 1: I remember that in order to even get like Sean's attention,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I like, this dude was doing a show. He was
- 19:31Speaker 1: headlining the show. I was like, damn, so nobody's giving
- 19:34Speaker 1: me my own headline in LA and that's where most
- 19:36Speaker 1: of my fans were at. And this was years ago,
- 19:38Speaker 1: and so I was just like, yo, I'll just open
- 19:40Speaker 1: for some random whoever they got performing. So I just
- 19:44Speaker 1: picked on. It was like, yo, I opened for him,
- 19:45Speaker 1: and you sold. I sold hell of way more tickets
- 19:49Speaker 1: than dude, and I ended up selling like one hundred
- 19:51Speaker 1: and fifty tickets. It's pretty much. Yeah, but the dude
- 19:55Speaker 1: only sold like probably like fifty or seventy or something. Sure,
- 19:58Speaker 1: you don't remember who it is. I don't, I swear,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I don't, like, I don't want to throw hm under
- 20:03Speaker 1: the bus on fifty tickets, but it was it was.
- 20:08Speaker 1: It was crazy though, and and like that's when he
- 20:11Speaker 1: hit me up and he was like, yo, yo, I
- 20:13Speaker 1: want you to come into the office, and he gave
- 20:15Speaker 1: me a few more shows and we sold all of
- 20:17Speaker 1: those out. We sold out in LA and then he
- 20:20Speaker 1: even went back to New York because he wasn't even
- 20:22Speaker 1: doing shows in New York anymore, right, and then we
- 20:25Speaker 1: sold out New York too, And then he was like, yo,
- 20:27Speaker 1: I want to manage you. And that's what what what
- 20:30Speaker 1: do you think is about what you do? That? Like
- 20:32Speaker 1: is I guess crossed over to LA so well, because
- 20:34Speaker 1: that's kind of a to be from New York and
- 20:37Speaker 1: to have like a fan base like that in LA
- 20:39Speaker 1: that early. It's kind of a tough thing to accomplish,
- 20:41Speaker 1: especially not doing I guess traditional LA music. I don't know.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna be real, like I really I can't tell you,
- 20:50Speaker 1: like I didn't have no music videos, like no real
- 20:54Speaker 1: music videos, especially I didn't have videos in LA so
- 20:58Speaker 1: to try to like act like I'm out. But I
- 21:01Speaker 1: guess it was just the way the music resonated. Somehow
- 21:04Speaker 1: it got over to the West Coast and that's that, yo.
- 21:08Speaker 1: We got to take a break in the interview real quick.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Tell you about our folks at my bookie. Man, this
- 21:13Speaker 1: is my favorite time of the year to gamble. I
- 21:15Speaker 1: love gambling on sports. And if you've been thinking about
- 21:19Speaker 1: putting your toe into the pool, come and join me
- 21:22Speaker 1: at my bookie. Okay, right now, we're doing a promotion,
- 21:24Speaker 1: and my bookie is crazy. When you sign up for
- 21:26Speaker 1: a new account and you make your first deposit, they
- 21:29Speaker 1: will match that deposit up to one thousand dollars. It
- 21:32Speaker 1: is March madness. The NCAA tournament is here, the brackets
- 21:35Speaker 1: is getting filled out. What I need y'all to do
- 21:38Speaker 1: also is go on to my bookie when you sign up.
- 21:41Speaker 1: They got there. My bracket promotion going on. It's pretty crazy.
- 21:44Speaker 1: So essentially, you sign up for my bracket. First prase
- 21:48Speaker 1: grand prize winner gets a bitcoin, a whole bitcoin. Second
- 21:53Speaker 1: place get some crazy ass NFT that's worth a shit

- 22:01Speaker 1: what are you doing? Go to my bookie right now, man,

- 22:16Speaker 1: word when you sign up, and your first deposit will
- 22:20Speaker 1: be matched up to one thousand dollars in free money.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Let's get back to the interview. YO. So something that
- 22:25Speaker 1: happened to you recently that I feel like has happened
- 22:28Speaker 1: to someone who I'm close with. Actually, one of the
- 22:30Speaker 1: artists that I manage is an ex of years accused
- 22:35Speaker 1: you of some bullshit that you didn't do. I thought
- 22:39Speaker 1: you addressed it very transparently on your project in a
- 22:43Speaker 1: dope way. What is that like to go through? Because
- 22:49Speaker 1: it's almost in twenty twenty two, if a girl accuse
- 22:54Speaker 1: of you of something, it's almost impossible for you to
- 22:57Speaker 1: defend yourself because when it hits the internet. I feel like,
- 23:01Speaker 1: and I mean, obviously, this is just from what I've
- 23:04Speaker 1: experienced and seen, there's really nothing that the guy can
- 23:08Speaker 1: say that it's like that can really like, I guess,
- 23:13Speaker 1: maybe sway people to not believe the female, if that
- 23:16Speaker 1: makes sense, And it kind of puts us on a
- 23:18Speaker 1: really weird world where like anyone can say anything about
- 23:21Speaker 1: you and it's on you to prove that it's bullshit.
- 23:26Speaker 1: What was that like to go through? Man? Uh, it's terrible.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Bro Like, it's it brings you. You go through a
- 23:33Speaker 1: lot of stuff mentally, and I realized that people really
- 23:36Speaker 1: don't know what that's like, you know, to be that
- 23:39Speaker 1: popular and to be going through something like that. You know,
- 23:42Speaker 1: so it is when you're in it, it's bad. You know,
- 23:46Speaker 1: it's bad for your mentals, for your psyche, and you
- 23:49Speaker 1: really have to like you have to keep your mind,
- 23:52Speaker 1: you know, you have to keep your head. And that's
- 23:53Speaker 1: the hardest part, is like keeping keeping your brain through
- 23:57Speaker 1: all the bullshit that's happening around you and like moving
- 24:01Speaker 1: forward and not backward. You know. So it wasn't like
- 24:06Speaker 1: did you ever did you feel helpless at all? Hell? Yeah,
- 24:09Speaker 1: you know you feel it feels like it feels like,
- 24:11Speaker 1: damn this person that I spent all this time with,
- 24:14Speaker 1: you know, a year and a half. You know, it's like,
- 24:18Speaker 1: you know, everybody's been in a relationship where you have
- 24:21Speaker 1: ups and you have downs and you have those really
- 24:25Speaker 1: good times and you share everything with this person and
- 24:28Speaker 1: you you know, you're sitting down watching stupid shows and
- 24:31Speaker 1: all of this stuff. So for somebody to you know,
- 24:34Speaker 1: get angry one day, try to ruin your life because
- 24:38Speaker 1: so for somebody is somebody to get angry at you,
- 24:40Speaker 1: and then because you don't you don't want to be
- 24:42Speaker 1: in a relationship or whatever it's like, and do that.
- 24:46Speaker 1: It's just like it's mind boggling, you know. Yeah, it's
- 24:50Speaker 1: crazy because kind of how you describe the situation on
- 24:52Speaker 1: your record was kind of like very similar to what
- 24:55Speaker 1: my boy went through. And it's like it's just it
- 24:59Speaker 1: can be defeated, man, because like I like, it's just
- 25:02Speaker 1: like what the fuck? Like, I feel like people should
- 25:05Speaker 1: really there should be some sort of law that gets
- 25:07Speaker 1: passed or if you do some shit like that, like
- 25:11Speaker 1: you're going to jail for as long as whatever the
- 25:13Speaker 1: fuck you accused someone of doing to you, because you
- 25:15Speaker 1: could literally ruin someone's life. Because people don't even think
- 25:20Speaker 1: about the context or well, what if she's full of shit?
- 25:22Speaker 1: That's the thing. They don't even think. It don't matter.
- 25:25Speaker 1: They already made their mind up. Yeah, I mean, but
- 25:27Speaker 1: it also just so it But that's the thing too, man.
- 25:30Speaker 1: One thing that I asked for before that whole thing
- 25:33Speaker 1: happened was for like more confidence and more like clarity
- 25:37Speaker 1: of mind and everything and to really have control over
- 25:41Speaker 1: myself and my mind and like what's going on, and
- 25:46Speaker 1: that situation kind of forced me to be one with myself,
- 25:50Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So like it really all
- 25:54Speaker 1: of the shit that's happening is bullshit, you know what
- 25:56Speaker 1: I mean, social media, this, that, and the third like people.
- 26:00Speaker 1: So it made me realize that people are really like dumb,
- 26:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like they're dumb, but it's
- 26:04Speaker 1: not their fault, you know, it's they're just flown with
- 26:07Speaker 1: the algorithm they're going with that they're designed to do this,
- 26:11Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's like this thing is
- 26:13Speaker 1: designed to take control of your mind. So like you
- 26:17Speaker 1: believe whatever you see, you know, like it's like the
- 26:20Speaker 1: Spider Man. You like Spider Man of course, of course,
- 26:22Speaker 1: so you watch the New Spider Man and the other
- 26:25Speaker 1: where it's just like the Guysio. He's like, they believe anything. Nowadays,
- 26:31Speaker 1: they believe anything. And and the thing is that's the
- 26:34Speaker 1: thing about the Internet, it doesn't they don't. These people
- 26:37Speaker 1: don't know me, you know, these people have never had
- 26:39Speaker 1: a conversation with me. Uh So it's just like you
- 26:43Speaker 1: start to think, how could this person actually have an
- 26:45Speaker 1: opinion about me, you know, and even aside just in
- 26:49Speaker 1: general in general, it's like and the stuff that people
- 26:53Speaker 1: say on the internet, like the cruel, crazy, crazy, and
- 26:56Speaker 1: they would literally never say it to you, So you
- 26:59Speaker 1: know what it is. It kind of just like put
- 27:01Speaker 1: me in a place where I was forced to like
- 27:04Speaker 1: step the fuck up into my manhood into like really
- 27:09Speaker 1: the problem of my mind is just like and really
- 27:12Speaker 1: so every day I capture that more, you know what
- 27:15Speaker 1: I mean. So put you in that syncre like almost
- 27:18Speaker 1: like like feast or famine type mentality where it's like
- 27:21Speaker 1: because if you let it, that shit could just knock
- 27:24Speaker 1: you off your rocker and you never recover because you
- 27:27Speaker 1: have people who probably never heard your music, don't know
- 27:30Speaker 1: you from shit, commenting about you, trying to get you canceled.
- 27:34Speaker 1: It's a wild it's definitely a wild situation. I can
- 27:37Speaker 1: only imagine to being man. Did you notice people, uh
- 27:40Speaker 1: start acting a little different? Oh yeah, everybody? You know, everybody?
- 27:45Speaker 1: What crazy? And that's another battle. You know, people around
- 27:49Speaker 1: you acting different, People that know you acting different. You know,
- 27:52Speaker 1: people that know you, you you know what I mean, are
- 27:54Speaker 1: like like close with you. Not everybody. Obviously, you have
- 27:57Speaker 1: your day ones that rock with you who know you
- 28:00Speaker 1: and be like yo, this some bullshit whatever. But you
- 28:03Speaker 1: know that's that's another battle, you know, where you have
- 28:07Speaker 1: to even you have to get closer and closer to yourself.
- 28:10Speaker 1: You have to accept certain things about certain people. And
- 28:13Speaker 1: it's some people that will take advantage of the situation
- 28:15Speaker 1: and it's like, oh, now you're in this situation. Oh
- 28:18Speaker 1: now I'm going to use it to do this, you
- 28:20Speaker 1: know what I mean. It's like it's a crazy it's
- 28:24Speaker 1: a crazy situation to be in. But you know what,
- 28:26Speaker 1: like when you keep your mind through some shit like that,
- 28:30Speaker 1: you end up way stronger, you know what I mean,
- 28:32Speaker 1: and your circle ends up way tighter. And the people
- 28:36Speaker 1: that rock with you, you you know, they really fuck with you,
- 28:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean, And you can like see like, oh,
- 28:40Speaker 1: I mean it almost kind of is like a blessing
- 28:42Speaker 1: in disguise in the sense that like those people you're
- 28:45Speaker 1: talking about, you know you, they kind of expose themselves
- 28:49Speaker 1: in that in that time where you could be like,
- 28:50Speaker 1: oh no, when things got like this, you behave this way,
- 28:54Speaker 1: or you try to take advantage of a certain type
- 28:55Speaker 1: of situation and you cut them out. That's what it
- 28:59Speaker 1: is that's it's easy like that. You know, you seem
- 29:02Speaker 1: pretty like we talked about earlier, pretty self contained when
- 29:06Speaker 1: it comes to the creative process, like signing management, Like
- 29:12Speaker 1: it's like like obviously used to be managed by Sean.
- 29:15Speaker 1: You said he doesn't manage you anymore. Those are important
- 29:19Speaker 1: decisions any artist makes. You're independent? What about management? Are
- 29:22Speaker 1: you managed by anyone? Are you? What do you got
- 29:25Speaker 1: going on in that? I mean I run I run
- 29:29Speaker 1: my music life more like a business, you know, in
- 29:32Speaker 1: my career is more like a business than like me
- 29:34Speaker 1: being an artist. You know, I'm kind of just I'm
- 29:39Speaker 1: I'm my own artist, and I have a business manager.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I have, you know, an accountant. I have these two.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Do you like self? I was gonna say, you feel
- 29:47Speaker 1: like the kind of guy you could just self manage? Okay, yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 1: pretty much pretty much. I have people around me that, like,
- 29:53Speaker 1: I have like an assistant that you know, it takes
- 29:55Speaker 1: my emails and stuff like that. But like you're a
- 29:58Speaker 1: good delegator. Yeah, it runs more like a business. It
- 30:01Speaker 1: runs more like a business than like I'm an artist
- 30:03Speaker 1: that does a whole bunch of stuff. Like we even
- 30:05Speaker 1: decided we don't go we don't do tours anymore. We
- 30:09Speaker 1: do we do one show like per quarter, you know.
- 30:14Speaker 1: So that's that's what we're doing right now because you know,
- 30:17Speaker 1: that's what we want to do, and that's you know,
- 30:19Speaker 1: I want to be home with my family. I want
- 30:20Speaker 1: to be home with my kid. Whatever. Your son's five,
- 30:24Speaker 1: that's an important age to be around. Yeah, so I
- 30:27Speaker 1: get to I get to be around because you can
- 30:29Speaker 1: do like thirty dates if you wanted to. But it's
- 30:30Speaker 1: like you're gone for forty five days. That's a lot,
- 30:33Speaker 1: you know, you'd rather just do the big ones. It's
- 30:37Speaker 1: almost like kind of like makes people be like, oh shit,
- 30:41Speaker 1: we got to drive to La to go to this ship,
- 30:43Speaker 1: And that's what I want to do too, Like and
- 30:45Speaker 1: I want to I want to actually turn it into
- 30:47Speaker 1: a festival like that happens four times a year in
- 30:49Speaker 1: the States. And then we go to Europe and do
- 30:52Speaker 1: a couple of days there. So and I wanted to
- 30:54Speaker 1: be outdoors soon. So that's why we did La in
- 30:57Speaker 1: the winter. So next time we come to LA, we
- 31:00Speaker 1: might be doing five thousand in some outdoor venue. Turn
- 31:04Speaker 1: it into ten thousand, keep going. That's so that's that's
- 31:07Speaker 1: really the plan. So we kind of want to stray
- 31:09Speaker 1: away from doing things the way everybody else is doing
- 31:12Speaker 1: them and just do things the way we because that's
- 31:14Speaker 1: always been my career. It's just like, how do you
- 31:17Speaker 1: how do I want to do it? Not what everybody
- 31:19Speaker 1: else is doing. You know, I'm assuming you've had a
- 31:21Speaker 1: lot of people try to sign you. What has been
- 31:24Speaker 1: the closest you've been assigning to a major situation. Not
- 31:28Speaker 1: close at all, you know, not close at all. I
- 31:31Speaker 1: don't think I've ever seriously considered it. Yeah, and I've
- 31:34Speaker 1: never seriously considered it. Like I think somebody offered me something,
- 31:37Speaker 1: and I definitely I completely just like they offered me
- 31:41Speaker 1: something so ridiculous that I just sent them back something
- 31:44Speaker 1: even more ridiculous, and that like the deal was like
- 31:47Speaker 1: so bad, so bad. The deal was so bad that
- 31:50Speaker 1: I felt like I was insulted. I just sent something
- 31:53Speaker 1: crazy of the other way, Like here's the counter. I
- 31:56Speaker 1: need twenty five million dollars one hundred percent of my
- 31:59Speaker 1: man for one album. I think I asked for that.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I think I asked for like a million, five hundred thousand,
- 32:06Speaker 1: non recoupable, like yeah, like some crazy, some crazy, like
- 32:12Speaker 1: I have control over all my albums and I was like, oh, yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 1: by the way, only one album. You only get one album. No,
- 32:20Speaker 1: it's rough because like you'll talk to some of these
- 32:22Speaker 1: like record people, especially like like I won't call them
- 32:25Speaker 1: like majors, but like in between major guys, and they'll
- 32:28Speaker 1: tell you like like they'll talk to you and they'll
- 32:30Speaker 1: like tell you exactly what you want to hear, and
- 32:34Speaker 1: you'd be like, oh shit, yeah that felt good. And
- 32:37Speaker 1: then the fucking contract gets sent over and it's always
- 32:40Speaker 1: some fucking bullshit like every single time, Like it's like
- 32:43Speaker 1: you got it. Almost like if you're like an artist
- 32:45Speaker 1: and you kind of want to kind of be in
- 32:47Speaker 1: your space and like you just got to find a
- 32:50Speaker 1: dope distro partner and turn up. Yeah. I say. The
- 32:53Speaker 1: thing is with me, I never really wanted to be
- 32:56Speaker 1: ritual of this stuff, you know what I mean. So
- 32:58Speaker 1: it was like the minute that I saw eight thousand
- 33:00Speaker 1: dollars in my account from REP, I was like, oh
- 33:02Speaker 1: fuck all that other shit, you know what I mean.
- 33:04Speaker 1: So like signing was never a problem for in a month?
- 33:07Speaker 1: Was that a monthly check? Nah? That was that was
- 33:09Speaker 1: just like I just saw eight thousand in my accounts alive.
- 33:12Speaker 1: First it was a lot for somebody who never made
- 33:14Speaker 1: it distrut or tune core or something toon corps and yeah,
- 33:19Speaker 1: so as as soon as I saw that, I was like, Yeah,
- 33:20Speaker 1: we're gonna we can do this. Let's just keep on
- 33:23Speaker 1: creating content so we could keep the streams going so
- 33:26Speaker 1: we could so ever, since then it was being run
- 33:28Speaker 1: like a business. It was like, Yo, how much if
- 33:30Speaker 1: we make five thousand this month, how can we make
- 33:32Speaker 1: ten thousand next month? If you make this then, how
- 33:35Speaker 1: can we make twenty thousand? And like we just worked
- 33:38Speaker 1: it like that and it worked out. So what's been
- 33:43Speaker 1: so far your best month off of music? For inspirational purposes?
- 33:45Speaker 1: Because you're independent, a lot a lot of kids don't understand,
- 33:48Speaker 1: like you know, they're gonna jump at the first big
- 33:51Speaker 1: bag someone tries to drop on their laps and it's
- 33:55Speaker 1: going to be a shitty split and it's gonna be
- 33:58Speaker 1: money they're gonna have to live off of because they're
- 34:00Speaker 1: ever gonna recoup. Give us some inspiration. What's been your
- 34:03Speaker 1: best month? Man? As well? I can't. I can't. I
- 34:04Speaker 1: can't do that. I can't say that. Give us like
- 34:07Speaker 1: a ballpark, Nah, I can't. I can't do that. That's
- 34:09Speaker 1: personally you know, the faz I mean, I mean shit,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I can't say that. Bro, I can't say that. That's fair.
- 34:17Speaker 1: That's fair. You're doing well though. I mean, I don't
- 34:20Speaker 1: gotta work. I don't gotta work at nine to five,
- 34:22Speaker 1: So I'm good. I feel like anybody, if you're a musician,
- 34:24Speaker 1: if you can get to the point where you could
- 34:26Speaker 1: just pay your bills and live like cool, you fucking won?
- 34:29Speaker 1: You would you want? I say that one hundred percent.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I felt like that for years. You know, no matter
- 34:35Speaker 1: how much money I was making, I get to I
- 34:37Speaker 1: get to feed my kid comfortably and put a roof
- 34:40Speaker 1: over my head. I always felt like I went. So
- 34:42Speaker 1: it's just like, I don't feel like I just started winning.
- 34:44Speaker 1: I feel like I've been winning. You know what made
- 34:46Speaker 1: you have a just you know, do the LA and
- 34:51Speaker 1: the New York thing? You got a spot in both cities. Obviously,
- 34:54Speaker 1: LA is kind of a hub where you really, I
- 34:56Speaker 1: mean a lot of artists gonna end up end up
- 34:58Speaker 1: out here to try to make why kind of split
- 35:01Speaker 1: time between both cities. It's the weather for me, you know,
- 35:04Speaker 1: it's the weather. I got a spot by the beach.
- 35:08Speaker 1: You know, it's like really non like music industry related
- 35:13Speaker 1: reasons because most people are like, man, you know I
- 35:15Speaker 1: got I gotta be on l a man, you know,
- 35:17Speaker 1: I gotta be there to go to meetings and do
- 35:19Speaker 1: pr whatever the fuck, bro, I came out here or retire,
- 35:22Speaker 1: You feel me like that's what I gotta. You might
- 35:25Speaker 1: like Florida a little bit more. Angle No, No, I
- 35:28Speaker 1: could never go. I could never move to Florida. I
- 35:30Speaker 1: love the West Coast. Florida's fire though Florida is fired
- 35:33Speaker 1: for the vacae. I love my k B. Miami honestly
- 35:37Speaker 1: my favorite place to visit ever. She was lit. You know,
- 35:41Speaker 1: it was amazing. It's amazing thing about Miami that's incredible
- 35:44Speaker 1: as no one's ugly. I a wwould say, like when
- 35:47Speaker 1: you go to Miami, everybody is beautiful. If you go
- 35:51Speaker 1: to McDonald's, the lady in the drive through is a
- 35:54Speaker 1: fucking she could she could start an only Fans tomorrow
- 35:57Speaker 1: and make six figures. Like everyone is fucking fine in Miami.
- 36:01Speaker 1: It's like there's no one ugly. It's just the most
- 36:04Speaker 1: beautiful people in the world and they're all that. It's
- 36:07Speaker 1: like it's just beautiful people making more beautiful people. Yeah,
- 36:11Speaker 1: shout out to Miami. I love it there. It's a
- 36:13Speaker 1: wild place though, well Florida is like it should be
- 36:16Speaker 1: its own country, low key because it kind of is.
- 36:19Speaker 1: There's like Miami, and I lived in Florida for a
- 36:21Speaker 1: few years, so I lived in Tampa. Though Tampa was nice,
- 36:26Speaker 1: but country Tampa is litough. I went to Tampa. It
- 36:30Speaker 1: was Tampa's dope. It's just like his own thing. It's
- 36:33Speaker 1: not Miami. It's his own thing. It's like, yeah, it's true,
- 36:36Speaker 1: that's true. That's true. It's his own thing. It's like
- 36:38Speaker 1: white trash Miami. Yeah. I didn't get that vibe. It's there,
- 36:43Speaker 1: that's there. It's somewhere. I don't know the place where
- 36:45Speaker 1: I was at that shit was turned You probably performed
- 36:48Speaker 1: in Ebor City, I don't remember. Yeah, the new album,
- 36:54Speaker 1: do you have any sort of plot for the date?
- 36:57Speaker 1: Is the date set? Have you turned it in? I
- 37:00Speaker 1: haven't turned it in, but we're looking at like middle
- 37:02Speaker 1: of June, okay, summertime. What features you got? Man? Features anybody?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Ia be real? All right? The features Brianna Castro. She's
- 37:13Speaker 1: from Philly. She's a singer, really dope. My boy Hello,
- 37:18Speaker 1: o'sha from Brooklyn, New York City. We got my boy
- 37:22Speaker 1: Sam and he's from He's from New York. I don't
- 37:25Speaker 1: think he's from Brooklyn or New or the city, but
- 37:28Speaker 1: I think he's from New York State. Who else? Those
- 37:32Speaker 1: those three? That's it? Oh? Yeah, and I got a
- 37:36Speaker 1: recording session with my homegirl davy on she was on
- 37:40Speaker 1: the Dreamville album. And yeah, those are those are the
- 37:44Speaker 1: only features I got so far. Dude, did you think
- 37:47Speaker 1: about who was talking about him? Futuristic? Was it futuristic? Nana?
- 37:56Speaker 1: Mm hmm. I don't know. We're talking about you. I
- 38:01Speaker 1: think I think I've talked about you twice in the
- 38:02Speaker 1: last month on the podcast he popped up. I was like, Oh,
- 38:06Speaker 1: this guy's in fucking La right now. I got to
- 38:08Speaker 1: get him on the show Man out here. Yeah, Na,
- 38:11Speaker 1: anything else, like you obviously talk about running like a business.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Obviously you got to merge the gear. Is there anything
- 38:17Speaker 1: else that you are working on outside of just recording
- 38:21Speaker 1: music that is that is you know, important to you
- 38:23Speaker 1: right now right now? I mean obviously being a great father. Yeah,
- 38:27Speaker 1: I'm planning on I'm planning on starting my own label
- 38:31Speaker 1: on my own company where we you know, distribute music
- 38:34Speaker 1: and help people grow and we're able to really build
- 38:38Speaker 1: marketing plans around artists and like you know, figure out
- 38:42Speaker 1: new ship in this new landscape or whatever's going on.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Because I want to see people in, you know, so
- 38:47Speaker 1: I want to create I want to create that for
- 38:49Speaker 1: some people. Do you feel like you could see yourself
- 38:52Speaker 1: managing artists even if you're not signing them, Like, could
- 38:55Speaker 1: you could you manage an artist? You think could? I
- 38:57Speaker 1: could definitely manage the artists. But I feel like I
- 38:59Speaker 1: could do anything thing, you know. That's so Yeah, I
- 39:02Speaker 1: definitely feel like I could if I was managing the
- 39:05Speaker 1: artists they fucking blow, you know, because like because and
- 39:09Speaker 1: I'm very confident in that, you know, yeah, and you're
- 39:11Speaker 1: not gonna work with nobody else who ain't it? Who
- 39:14Speaker 1: is who's been kind of like the biggest artist that's
- 39:17Speaker 1: kind of reached out to you, Maybe not someone you've
- 39:18Speaker 1: not necessarily worked with with, someone who has noticed what
- 39:21Speaker 1: you're doing, or maybe like the post ory you found
- 39:25Speaker 1: out it's fucking with what you got going on. Mm hmm,
- 39:31Speaker 1: I'm not sure. Like I feel like a lot of
- 39:35Speaker 1: a lot of big artists have reached out at some point.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I mean doing the doing the feature with Joey was
- 39:43Speaker 1: a big deal. You know, that's a super big yea.
- 39:45Speaker 1: That was that was that was a really big deal.
- 39:47Speaker 1: It was like we wrote from Brooklyn, like we even
- 39:50Speaker 1: got our roots kind of like come from the same
- 39:52Speaker 1: place and that we like we're moving in the same
- 39:55Speaker 1: circles when we were younger, you know, So not being
- 39:59Speaker 1: able to being able to work with Joey was dope.
- 40:02Speaker 1: You know, yeah, did anyone you know what's crazy? Because
- 40:06Speaker 1: like when I first heard you, I was like, man,
- 40:07Speaker 1: I could see someone like TD or Dreamville trying to
- 40:11Speaker 1: come in and like you kind of fit like any
- 40:14Speaker 1: any interest from either of those two camps ever in
- 40:17Speaker 1: what you got going on. No, I've just always been
- 40:20Speaker 1: a lone wolf, you know, a lone wolf movie. That's it.
- 40:24Speaker 1: That's hey, man, it's working out. Do you feel like
- 40:28Speaker 1: for you to kind of like you not that you
- 40:30Speaker 1: would even care, but for you to kind of commercially
- 40:33Speaker 1: reach your fullest potential that you might have to compromise
- 40:37Speaker 1: in the future and end up working with a bigger
- 40:41Speaker 1: platform or a bigger label, or do you are you
- 40:43Speaker 1: just like comfortable that will come, I don't. I don't
- 40:49Speaker 1: necessarily not waiting for that, you know. I feel like
- 40:53Speaker 1: sometimes I think about it and I'm like, damn, I
- 40:55Speaker 1: might actually if I wanted to make it, I would.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I would. I think about the fact that y'all'm might
- 41:00Speaker 1: actually have to like compromise my shit or compromise like
- 41:04Speaker 1: my idea or signed to a label or whatever like
- 41:06Speaker 1: that thought. Those thoughts have come to my mind because
- 41:08Speaker 1: I see like the success of like Something. I think
- 41:11Speaker 1: Russ did a good job of taking all the equity
- 41:15Speaker 1: and leverage he built up sort of like what you
- 41:17Speaker 1: do right and kind of doing like a little partnership
- 41:20Speaker 1: with Columbia. And I think he only dropped two albums
- 41:23Speaker 1: and he was out. Now he killed this shit like
- 41:25Speaker 1: he ran it up, put him on a different level,
- 41:27Speaker 1: and now he's back dropping on tune core every week.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I think he did it. He did it
- 41:32Speaker 1: the best where it's just like everything worked out for him,
- 41:36Speaker 1: you know, where he did it the way he wanted
- 41:39Speaker 1: to do it on his terms. He got out of
- 41:41Speaker 1: it on his terms, and he's still chilling. And I
- 41:44Speaker 1: feel like a part of it is because he's just
- 41:46Speaker 1: so low key about it. You know, he just drops
- 41:49Speaker 1: his music. He has a shit to on the music,
- 41:51Speaker 1: you know so much, and you think that's important for
- 41:53Speaker 1: an independent artist to stay very consistent and running up
- 41:57Speaker 1: the catalog, even though because I think some some times
- 42:00Speaker 1: we are like artists overthink putting shit out. Sometimes. I'm
- 42:04Speaker 1: sure you've you've crossed that bridge as an artist where
- 42:06Speaker 1: you're like you're sitting on something. It might have been fire,
- 42:10Speaker 1: but nine months later you're like, I'm over this ship
- 42:12Speaker 1: and it never comes out. I never felt I never
- 42:14Speaker 1: had that. I never had that happenment. You're a fucking alien. Then, No,
- 42:18Speaker 1: it's not because I think I think independent artists do
- 42:20Speaker 1: work different in that in that way where it's like,
- 42:23Speaker 1: when you're an independent artist getting some success, like you're
- 42:27Speaker 1: always dropping, you know what I mean, Like you're always
- 42:30Speaker 1: dropping because you've got to stay relevant, and I feel
- 42:32Speaker 1: like as an indie you don't. The only way you
- 42:35Speaker 1: stay relevant is either like you keep dropping records or
- 42:38Speaker 1: you're doing something else that's keeping you relevant in the
- 42:40Speaker 1: music space. You know, Yeah, but you have to to
- 42:44Speaker 1: stay in front of people. You can keep putting shots
- 42:45Speaker 1: up right right, yeah, and if the shots don't make it,
- 42:49Speaker 1: it's not as big of a deal as if you're
- 42:50Speaker 1: on a major, right, because if you drop an album
- 42:52Speaker 1: and it flops on a major, who gives a fuck?
- 42:54Speaker 1: Or no, there is a big there's a lot of
- 42:56Speaker 1: money behind it. But if you're independent, you just move
- 42:58Speaker 1: on and put something else out exactly, you don't have to.
- 43:00Speaker 1: There's no embarrassment, you know, there's no like, oh, this
- 43:03Speaker 1: didn't work out for me. It's like not just do
- 43:05Speaker 1: that shit again. You know, there's nobody saying like this.
- 43:08Speaker 1: There's less pressure because if you put out a record
- 43:11Speaker 1: that doesn't do so well, only you're the only one
- 43:13Speaker 1: that's going to be disappointed. You don't have label people
- 43:15Speaker 1: that are like, damn, like, maybe he's not selling like
- 43:18Speaker 1: he used to, or maybe everybody's doubting you now when
- 43:20Speaker 1: now the pressure is on you to be like damn
- 43:22Speaker 1: like and maybe I got to put up make music
- 43:25Speaker 1: like this, so maybe I gotta change my style, and
- 43:27Speaker 1: then you start questioning yourself. So like being India is
- 43:30Speaker 1: just like, bro, I dropped this record, it didn't do
- 43:32Speaker 1: that well, didn't get on New Music Friday. Whatever, I'm
- 43:35Speaker 1: gonna drop another one and maybe this one will. And
- 43:38Speaker 1: that really was how my career went. It's just like yo,
- 43:41Speaker 1: every week, every other week, you know. So, how do
- 43:44Speaker 1: you want to be remembered when it's all said and done, Man, Like,
- 43:46Speaker 1: what do you want your legacy to be? I just
- 43:50Speaker 1: want to be remembered as somebody, some dude that says
- 43:54Speaker 1: some real shit on the record. You know. It's like
- 43:57Speaker 1: I got on, I got on into his music shit
- 44:01Speaker 1: and I said what was on my mind? And I
- 44:03Speaker 1: help people navigate life, and like that's it. And I was,
- 44:09Speaker 1: you know, I was a part of the journey and
- 44:12Speaker 1: a part of it like personal growth and emotional growth.
- 44:15Speaker 1: That's it. Yo. We got to stop the interview real quick.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Shout out to our presenting sponsor, odds Socks. Baby, hey man, listen,

- 44:29Speaker 1: I'm telling you the socks are crazy. Uh. They got
- 44:33Speaker 1: all the licenses. Look, they got Halloween socks, they have
- 44:36Speaker 1: Back to the Future socks, they got fucking Twizzler socks,
- 44:40Speaker 1: old dirty bastard socks. Rip to ODB all right. They
- 44:43Speaker 1: also got their draws if you want to wear some
- 44:45Speaker 1: underwear with pizza on them, whatever you need. But my
- 44:48Speaker 1: favorite are the odd socks are basics, baby, These are

- 45:34Speaker 1: the interview. We were talking about Kanye earlier. What is
- 45:38Speaker 1: the best Kanye West album? Got this dropout College Dropout?
- 45:44Speaker 1: Your favorite? Is that your favorite? Or is that the best.
- 45:47Speaker 1: That's the best for me. Yeah, So what's your favorite?
- 45:50Speaker 1: Is best? The best in my favorite? Yeah yeah, I
- 45:52Speaker 1: kind of I kind of have like a so to me,
- 45:55Speaker 1: the best is my beautiful direktris advantas okay from my
- 45:57Speaker 1: favorites Late Registration, Okay, what was the difference between your
- 46:01Speaker 1: best and you know, I think people can I think
- 46:05Speaker 1: we could do that and ship, Like when we think
- 46:06Speaker 1: of the basketball players, like you can acknowledge that like
- 46:10Speaker 1: Michael Jordan might be better than Kobe Bryant, but there's
- 46:13Speaker 1: a lot of people who's like, but Kobe's my guy.
- 46:15Speaker 1: To me, late Registration was just like a moment in
- 46:18Speaker 1: my life that I like vividly remember. And but my beautiful, dark,
- 46:22Speaker 1: Twisted Fantasy is like a perfect album. It don't get
- 46:26Speaker 1: much better than that, right right, that's true College drop out.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Like I listened back and like, never Let You Down
- 46:32Speaker 1: still one of my favorite songs ever. Obviously two words,
- 46:35Speaker 1: but like Breathe In, Breathe Out was like there's a
- 46:38Speaker 1: couple of those records that like, like the Workout record
- 46:41Speaker 1: was like you didn't age, well, it didn't age. That
- 46:44Speaker 1: shit was fire, you know when it was when it
- 46:47Speaker 1: came Out. It was amazing, But I think of like,
- 46:50Speaker 1: I don't I think late Registration age gracefully. College Drop,
- 46:55Speaker 1: College Drop I had twenty one songs on it. It
- 46:57Speaker 1: was deep, it was it was it was a lot,
- 47:00Speaker 1: you know, it was a lot like College drop Out.
- 47:03Speaker 1: I dropped the album called Photo that had nineteen songs
- 47:05Speaker 1: on it, and I think the only reason I did
- 47:07Speaker 1: that was because Kanye dropped a twenty one track album.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Like he was the only person I knew that had
- 47:12Speaker 1: that many songs on the album at that time. You know,
- 47:15Speaker 1: I think Drake had like he puts like that many
- 47:18Speaker 1: songs on Now he does. Yeah, Drake's a lot. Yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Now Kanye, I remember how big of a deal it
- 47:24Speaker 1: was that he put Freeway and Most Deaf on the
- 47:27Speaker 1: same song, and people thought that was so wild, and
- 47:30Speaker 1: in retrospect it's like, was it that wild? No, But
- 47:32Speaker 1: he was doing crazy. He had everybody on that album.
- 47:35Speaker 1: There was just a perceived like wall between like commercial
- 47:39Speaker 1: rap and like raucous records. I guess the boombab shit,
- 47:43Speaker 1: and he like broke down the wall and was like
- 47:45Speaker 1: the bridge. Yeah, he put it Yo, He had jay Z,
- 47:47Speaker 1: Most Deaf, consequenced jils, like all these dudes on the
- 47:51Speaker 1: same and now I think that's Ludle Chris, Ludacris, Lula
- 47:54Speaker 1: Chris was on it, like Twisting Jamie. Everybody was on
- 47:59Speaker 1: that album. So I'm like, and honestly, I gotta give
- 48:03Speaker 1: it to Kanye because he gave. When I'm working on
- 48:06Speaker 1: the album, I think I try to think like that,
- 48:09Speaker 1: what's gonna make this record good? What's gonna make this
- 48:11Speaker 1: record fire? Instead of like who's the biggest artist, So
- 48:14Speaker 1: who's the biggest name. It's like, yo, who needs to
- 48:16Speaker 1: be on this ship? So this shit sounds like crazy,
- 48:19Speaker 1: and even it doesn't have to sound exactly like you know,
- 48:22Speaker 1: exactly what everybody you know, you got it. He's not
- 48:25Speaker 1: trying to fit a sound. He's trying to create a sound,
- 48:28Speaker 1: and so he gets artists over these beats that it's
- 48:30Speaker 1: just like, yo, you may not spit over this particular
- 48:33Speaker 1: type of beat, but like it's gonna sound good, trust me.
- 48:35Speaker 1: And that's what the producer does. So like as far
- 48:38Speaker 1: as like like as far as production and learning how
- 48:40Speaker 1: to produce a record and put all of the pieces
- 48:43Speaker 1: together properly, I try to emulate Kanye, you know, because
- 48:48Speaker 1: he can he can do that shit. He's not just
- 48:50Speaker 1: throwing people on it. That's true. What's his worst album?
- 48:54Speaker 1: Worst album? Eight a ways worst than Jesus Is King. Oh,
- 49:00Speaker 1: I didn't even listen to Jesus It's terrible. Damn. I
- 49:03Speaker 1: wouldn't even you know what those shout outs to books.
- 49:05Speaker 1: There's some amazing beats on there. Jesus King has some
- 49:08Speaker 1: incredible production, but it was it was terrible. It was
- 49:12Speaker 1: the most disappointing. It was kind of like Jordan's Wizard's career,
- 49:16Speaker 1: you know, like we just try to forget about it,
- 49:19Speaker 1: you know, like Jesus King, like, yeah, I mean he
- 49:21Speaker 1: wanted Grammy for Best Gospel Album. Wow, that's crazy for
- 49:25Speaker 1: best guys. Yeah, jesus Is King got the Grammy. I
- 49:29Speaker 1: kind of like Kanye in his current vibe. It feels
- 49:33Speaker 1: very like two thousand and like nine ten. Ya, He's
- 49:39Speaker 1: out here fucking He's running around in all black. Oh,
- 49:43Speaker 1: he's living his life. He's had three bitches in the
- 49:46Speaker 1: last ninety days. He's just trading him out. It's like
- 49:49Speaker 1: this is like Demon Kanye. Like, I'm just I wish
- 49:52Speaker 1: the VMA's were still a thing, because I feel like
- 49:54Speaker 1: Kanye would storm the VMA's right now. Honestly, I just
- 49:58Speaker 1: wish the best for Kanye. Me too, me too, But
- 50:00Speaker 1: I just love it. I'm just like, yo, the music is.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I'm just like y'all. I feel like he's finally because
- 50:04Speaker 1: you know, I feel like Kanye really hasn't cared about music,
- 50:06Speaker 1: like like we probably wanted him to in a while
- 50:09Speaker 1: because he's been becoming a billionaire and dealing with what
- 50:12Speaker 1: happens when you become a billionaire. But I feel like
- 50:14Speaker 1: he's like very much in his like bag right now.
- 50:17Speaker 1: So it's exciting outside of yay albums. What's your favorite
- 50:20Speaker 1: album of all time? Lauren Hill Miseducation, Hey man, shout
- 50:24Speaker 1: out to Miss Lauren. That's that's that's one of them. Once.
- 50:29Speaker 1: It's the best album you know you ever see? Lauren live?
- 50:32Speaker 1: I did one time? Were you Dissapo? I was disappointed,
- 50:38Speaker 1: but not because she didn't sound good. She was late.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I wasn't disappointed at that. I almost expect that, Yeah, yeah, right.
- 50:45Speaker 1: I was disappointed at the fact that she didn't perform
- 50:47Speaker 1: any of the songs like they want in the record.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Oh my god, I know killed me her three times?
- 50:52Speaker 1: Oh man, never you never heard every single time she performs,
- 50:56Speaker 1: it's like she's doing something like wild ass jam rock
- 50:59Speaker 1: session version. I'm like, what the fuck is going on
- 51:01Speaker 1: up there? By the way, Lauren Hill is one of
- 51:05Speaker 1: the greatest of all time. But I hope one like
- 51:08Speaker 1: one day she'll do like a tour. Maybe it's like
- 51:11Speaker 1: the thirty year anniversary and she like just does the
- 51:16Speaker 1: records or the unplugged version of the records. The unplugged
- 51:20Speaker 1: album was so fucking incredible, damn like, but Lauren Hill
- 51:25Speaker 1: is just fight you know. That's why. I think that's
- 51:27Speaker 1: why it's so sad that she don't perform the songs
- 51:30Speaker 1: like the way they own a record, because it's like
- 51:32Speaker 1: the people love that album, like people love those albums,
- 51:36Speaker 1: like whole generation of people probably will never see her
- 51:39Speaker 1: perform that shit the way. Yeah, it's crazy. What about
- 51:43Speaker 1: actually I never you know, they did the Score, they
- 51:45Speaker 1: did a Fooji's Reunion tour. I don't know how that went.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I don't know if it went well because I didn't
- 51:48Speaker 1: hear much about it. What's the weirdest shit? You not weirdest,
- 51:53Speaker 1: but what's the most like random non hip hop shit
- 51:55Speaker 1: you're listening to, like on a regular basis random. I
- 52:00Speaker 1: don't really listen to it a lot. Right now. I
- 52:02Speaker 1: just discovered Tam and Paula high on shrooms. That ship
- 52:06Speaker 1: was wild. Have you heard of Tam and Bala? Their
- 52:09Speaker 1: shit is crazy. It's like made for you to listen
- 52:12Speaker 1: to it. If you're on psychedelics, I wouldn't know you
- 52:16Speaker 1: never done any psychedelics than psychedelics. I've just never really
- 52:19Speaker 1: listened to anything while doing it. I just found a
- 52:21Speaker 1: playlist and it was like shroom playlist on Spotify, like
- 52:24Speaker 1: eight thousand followers. I was a fucking hit play on
- 52:27Speaker 1: that bitch in the hot up and just that shit
- 52:30Speaker 1: must have been he and shout out to Don DeMarco.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Don DeMarco's got some wild ass songs for fucking tripping hard, Like,
- 52:37Speaker 1: have you ever you knew that guy? Is? You mean?
- 52:40Speaker 1: Mac DeMarco? Mac DeMarco, that's his name. That dude's fucking
- 52:45Speaker 1: His videos are wild. He's a well dude. Yeah, he's
- 52:48Speaker 1: a well dude. Also, Mac Miller was on that playlist
- 52:50Speaker 1: a lot. Mac Miller's got great I never even put
- 52:53Speaker 1: it together. I was like, oh shit, it hits different, bro.
- 52:56Speaker 1: When you're tripping like gorillas, listen to the Gorillas while
- 52:59Speaker 1: you're tripping, listen to gorillas. That's your that's your Uh,
- 53:03Speaker 1: if you're on shrooms, Well I've never really listened to
- 53:06Speaker 1: anything while on like a psychedelic but like I used
- 53:09Speaker 1: to get high, I used to smoke weed and listened
- 53:12Speaker 1: to like a lot of gorillas. Like my favorite song
- 53:15Speaker 1: is on Melancholi. You play that ship that should take
- 53:18Speaker 1: you somewhere else, man for real, chance to the Gorillas.
- 53:21Speaker 1: The Gorillas were the first NFTs what think about it?
- 53:26Speaker 1: Think about it? I mean, yeah, they were they were
- 53:29Speaker 1: two D. They were too D. They were like NFT's
- 53:32Speaker 1: low kid, you know, because they got there's this there's
- 53:35Speaker 1: this Asian what's the Asian cartoon band. There's like a
- 53:39Speaker 1: band that toured. They came here and they sold out
- 53:42Speaker 1: like two thousand people. But they're it's it's like a band,
- 53:47Speaker 1: but they are like virtual characters and they're fucking huge,
- 53:55Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, that's just the Gorillas, but like
- 53:57Speaker 1: they're like it's like meta, it's like a metaverse band
- 54:01Speaker 1: and they're fucking lit. Did you ever see the Gorillas
- 54:07Speaker 1: Cribs episode? I remember it, Yeah, I vaguely remember it. Yeah,
- 54:11Speaker 1: that's that was like an NFT because it's like it
- 54:14Speaker 1: was a complete like animation of them doing a Cribs episode.
- 54:18Speaker 1: You know that what you think about it the most?
- 54:21Speaker 1: All right, bro? It was like they liked the first NFTs.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Yeah they brought I mean yeah, they had a whole
- 54:26Speaker 1: online Think about it. Nowadays, you could be super talented,
- 54:29Speaker 1: but maybe you don't have the confidence to be in
- 54:31Speaker 1: front of the camera or and you could just fucking
- 54:34Speaker 1: create like a persona online and animate it and like
- 54:38Speaker 1: put out music and no one ever will know who
- 54:40Speaker 1: the fuck you are what it sound to be a love? Bro,
- 54:43Speaker 1: it's a good time, no excuse. You could be seven
- 54:46Speaker 1: hundred pounds at home, not able to get out of
- 54:48Speaker 1: a chair, and if you've got a great voice, you know,
- 54:51Speaker 1: fucking have someone create some sort of did you do
- 54:54Speaker 1: the NFT thing? Yeah I have? I have a crypto Mary?
- 55:00Speaker 1: Is that a big deal? Yeah? Yeah, Maury. It's a community,
- 55:05Speaker 1: you know, you vot it's like you own an NFT,
- 55:07Speaker 1: You've out of the community. And that's what everyone says.
- 55:10Speaker 1: They go to prison. It's about some ship. That's crazy.
- 55:15Speaker 1: I wasn't expecting all these fucking artists are going to
- 55:17Speaker 1: like getting investigated and ship for fucking n f T.
- 55:21Speaker 1: They call them like pool rug scams. Uh someone in
- 55:24Speaker 1: the NBA. What's the NBA player that's about the who
- 55:27Speaker 1: is it? Dearon Fox from the Kings. Just a good player,
- 55:31Speaker 1: very rich, got a five year extension. This guy's paid.
- 55:34Speaker 1: He's like, he might go to jail over the ship
- 55:36Speaker 1: over the NFT shit. Yeah, it's like it's like that.
- 55:39Speaker 1: It's kind of like some pumping dumb shit. Right. Oh
- 55:47Speaker 1: oh see, see my team don't do that. A bunch
- 55:49Speaker 1: of people, a bunch of people are under investigation. Hella artists,
- 55:54Speaker 1: Hella artists. The guys you would be like, oh yeah,
- 55:56Speaker 1: I can see that. I'm trying to think who who
- 55:59Speaker 1: you would tell you? Probably fucking this guy knows everything
- 56:04Speaker 1: to tell the name. You're not on fucking camera. Bro,
- 56:09Speaker 1: shot somebody who's from Canada. Someone shot someone from Tory Lanes.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Is he he might get in trouble allegedly he shot
- 56:19Speaker 1: someone again? I had I mean listen that that might
- 56:23Speaker 1: be a similar situation where everyone rushed to be like
- 56:27Speaker 1: fuck you Tory Lanes, and maybe it didn't happen that way.
- 56:31Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna say, because I've heard some sources
- 56:35Speaker 1: close to these situation and we'll see how it plays out.
- 56:38Speaker 1: But that's kind of we were talking about that earlier.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I mean, we don't know what happened, right obviously I wasn't.
- 56:45Speaker 1: It very well could have happened the way that, But
- 56:48Speaker 1: if it didn't, damn motherfuckers really x him all the
- 56:51Speaker 1: way out before seeing what actually happened. So you are
- 56:57Speaker 1: you the NFT community or a part of is just
- 56:59Speaker 1: like a, uh, do you just buy them? Like are
- 57:02Speaker 1: you buying art? Or are you like you're like, this
- 57:05Speaker 1: is my gang. I don't know how this shit works, bro,
- 57:06Speaker 1: Yeah I would have I would have worked I about
- 57:09Speaker 1: a Yeah, it's like you buy one of the outworks.
- 57:11Speaker 1: And it's just like what I realized, man, is that
- 57:15Speaker 1: like on Twitter? I used to look at Twitter like
- 57:18Speaker 1: it was this very toxic like thing. But in this community,
- 57:22Speaker 1: it's not like it's on Twitter like NFTs is like
- 57:25Speaker 1: on Twitter heavy, but it's the only space which is
- 57:28Speaker 1: just like everyone's nice. Yeah, everyone's cool as fuck. You
- 57:30Speaker 1: know when you say community, do you like put an
- 57:33Speaker 1: oculas on and see all these people? Huh? And I
- 57:36Speaker 1: like like, it's just like in the metaverse, like you
- 57:38Speaker 1: put an oculas on and you like see the homies
- 57:40Speaker 1: who eat? Like, help me understand? Be really my own
- 57:43Speaker 1: bitcoin eye on the Theoryum, I own, I'm very surface
- 57:46Speaker 1: level crypto. How about Ripple in twenty seventeen, you know,
- 57:49Speaker 1: like I but this whole NFT shit. I just feel
- 57:52Speaker 1: like there's so much cartoon animals going on. I don't
- 57:55Speaker 1: know to buy the rhino, the ape, the fucking to
- 57:58Speaker 1: blinged out monkey. I don't know what the fuck's going on?
- 58:00Speaker 1: Why why would you do any of that? Like why
- 58:03Speaker 1: would you buy anything? And I feel like there's so
- 58:04Speaker 1: many like I saw like a fucking shark blind. Everyone's
- 58:07Speaker 1: got a fucking cartoon animal. All I can do is
- 58:11Speaker 1: tell you why, you know crypto? Maury? I would? So
- 58:15Speaker 1: what is that? What is crypto? More? Is it? Is? It? Is? It? Is? It?
- 58:18Speaker 1: Like Maury Povich, A bunch of different versions of Maury. No,
- 58:22Speaker 1: it's just they're like these little dead guys, right, So
- 58:25Speaker 1: like Mari, like Maury Povich, he's kind of dead, right,
- 58:31Speaker 1: I mean, Maury's been like Mary's been hanging on. But
- 58:36Speaker 1: like if Maury died tomorrow, you wouldn't be surprised you'd
- 58:38Speaker 1: be like, yeah, it seems it seems like his time. Nah,
- 58:42Speaker 1: but the real reason is just like yo, it's like,
- 58:45Speaker 1: can we let me pull these things up? Hold on crypto?
- 58:47Speaker 1: How do I spell this ship see r hy P
- 58:51Speaker 1: t O. Okay, I know not to spell crypto. Not
- 58:57Speaker 1: a fucking idiot, I do crypto M M O R
- 59:02Speaker 1: I E is crypto? Maury's Maury's not more not Maury
- 59:07Speaker 1: like Mari Povis. It would have been so much cooler
- 59:10Speaker 1: if you would have said, yeah, a bunch of little
- 59:13Speaker 1: cartoon Maury Povich, should we start that crypto? Maury's what
- 59:21Speaker 1: about crypto? Steve Wilco's said, don't it don't quite roll?
- 59:29Speaker 1: So these are this? Is it? Right? Yeah, that's it.
- 59:31Speaker 1: That's it. Wow, ten thousand skeleton dudes to remind you
- 59:35Speaker 1: to live your life fully. They've been randomly generated. Okay,
- 59:39Speaker 1: so you have to buy these with ethereum right. Yeah.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Do you have an oculus? No? I don't, but I've
- 59:46Speaker 1: been doing about again one. I feel like you should
- 59:48Speaker 1: get one because you own NFTs and I feel like
- 59:50Speaker 1: you could like build a house and like walk around
- 59:52Speaker 1: and see I was thinking about getting some stuff in
- 59:54Speaker 1: the metaverse. Actually why not. I mean, listen, I'm gonna
- 59:58Speaker 1: tell you this. The poorn's wild, pretty crazy, the porn,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: the porn to put the oculus on, the Oculus porns,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: fucking live bro, it's pretty crazy. I've never experienced it. Umm,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you should try it. I'm not even like on some
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: creep shit like like you should just give it a shot,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: like just throw it up. Oh shit, we put it
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: on blue face and put a porn on and he
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: looked down and he was like, oh my god, look
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: at my white dick. It's pretty funny. It is kind
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: of racist, though. I noticed, like none of the Oculus
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: porn has dicks of color, and like it seriously, because
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: like the whole idea is that it's you, right, that's
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: like doing everything, So you're like looking down on the
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: chicks sucking your dick, but it's a white dick. Almost
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: every time I would venture to say, I have only
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: seen white dicks on there. That's crazy. But the porn
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: industry in general, very very racist industry. It's probably the
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: single industry left that it's like hasn't been fully like
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: hit by cancel culture all the way. How can you
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: cancel it exactly? You know, it's like, yeah, we're racist,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Big Black Bitches, Volume seven, Asian Hotties seventy nine, Like
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: this is the only place that that shit still flies.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: You could not none of that shit is flying it
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: because it's built on like like shit that is not
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you know, normal. Did you start to the crypto Moris thing?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Was that? Like did they like were you approached to
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: do that? Or are you just passionate about the space,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: because there's some people are very passionate about cryptofts. Yeah,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I was super interested, and I decided to, Like I
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: asked my friend, my friend Drew. I was like, yo,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: what kind of like what should I be messing with it?
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: You know? And he put me onto a few different
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: projects and I saw Crypto Marris. I was like, oh,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: that's fine, you know, And so I just decided to
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: invest in it. And that's it. So have you made
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: have you made some bucks off of it? I'm right
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: here checking on out. I'm not sure. Ethereum goes up
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and down, I think it, bro, I don't know. I
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: don't know much about how you know, it goes up
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: in price or down in price. All I, like, I said,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: all I really know about is that like it's this
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: really dope community of people that kind of like share
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: each other ship and like I feel like I feel
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: like you're reading off with the crypto Morris pamphlet right now.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I'm not bro. I'm not like everyone's so nice. It's
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: a great community. Yo, I'm dead. I'm dead ass man.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Like I think. Man, when you when you go through
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: some like deep ship, you know some nice to see
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: positive around you, you know, so like your community is
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: like one. It is like the biggest thing about in life.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Do you have a discord for your fans? I do.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: I do because I'm gonna start using it more like
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: when I'm when I finished with the album, I'm gonna
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: get on like discord heavy because you get to like
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: talk directly with your people. Would you do an NFT
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: album or a single or anything when that's I don't
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: think so. I don't think I want to like mix
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: the actual music with n f t S. I would
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: do something like artistic with n f t s. But
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: like as far as like my music, I just like
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: to have that like its own thing. You know. What
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: is uh? If you're not making music, you're not being
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: a father. What are the television shows you binge watch
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: mm hmm if any man I watched movies, you know,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: no TV shows. I'm not really a TV shodn't watching
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: for you know, I've been watching Abbot's Elementary no Idea.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: It's like this thing on like it's this new show
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: on ABC. Quinta is the like the star of it.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: You didn't watch it for you? For you, I did
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: not watch You're like one of the only like nine
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: people in the world that weren't watching it for you
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: this week. I guess that's me. I wasn't. It's a
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: show about kids in high school fucking and doing fantanol.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I saw season one, but I mean so you saw
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: season one. Yeah, I mean season just fucking pretty crazy. Yeah,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I think season one was enough of me. It's dark,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: it's hella dark, it's hella dark, and it's just like
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: there's no way out with that. It gets worse because
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: the dude's dad starts like, yeah, it's just crazy, you know.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: The dude's dad was like, it's it's fucking crazy. I
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: don't know what the dude's dad was doing, you remember,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I don't know how it can get worse than season
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: before it does? Do you think, do you think season one,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: of which one you think is worse one or two?
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: As far as just the level of fucking crazy Season two, Right,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: there's a lot of dicks in season two, though, I
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: think that's dangerous. Bro, Like you see out the world
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: that you see how kids on nowadays turns of dicks
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: in season two. Every episode there's a day for sure
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: the shout out there, isn't it crazy that anybody can
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: turn on the TV and watch that ship? Like, No,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: that's actually not true. You need to have HBO Max. No, yeah,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: anyone with nine all right, but I'm saying your ten
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: year old kids going your HbF Max and watch that.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: It's crazy, that's nute. My son is sixteen, and my
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: kid is like a pretty mature kid. He's a good kid,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: gets straight a's. But I've never like hid no shit
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: from him. So like he's also got an interesting mother
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: in his life. Uh So I let him watch it
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: for you. Probably not the best move, but I think
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I don't know, I mean, he was gonna watch it anyway.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: It is really I mean, at the end of the day,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: like it's out there. You know, you just gotta kind
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: of just be able to, like, you know, explain what
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: the fuck is happening? And it doesn't to me. It
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: doesn't really glorify drugs as much as it's like, yeah,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: like Zenda is fucked up in that show. Rue is like,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: She's like there's like one episode in season two that's
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: fucking insane. Did you ever watch a Curb your Enthusiasm? Yeah?
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Do you? What's your favorite? What you in your opinion?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: What's the greatest comedy ever? Because I just got to
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: an argument with my boy about Curb. I said, Curbs
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: just to go to me comedy, Like, just like sitcom comedy.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: There's Curb, there's the Boondocks, there's fucking Martin, There's Boondocks
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: was hilarious. Martin was hilarious. You know what's crazy is
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I still rewatch Boondogs episodes. Some of them are timeless,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: but so many of them were very like time specific.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: For like when they dropped that they don't hit. That's
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: like some of the Chappelle skits don't hit Like they
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: read it my mind, bro, you read it? Yeah, like
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the Chappelle shit, like when it put on Netflix, I
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: rewatched all of it, uh, and I was like, damn,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: some of this shit, like the Mitsubishi commercial where the
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: girls dancing, and he was like, come on, titty like that.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: You had to be around to know what that commercial was.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: That he was like spoofing like Chappelle was hilarious. Now
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Chappelle was like my favorite, Like me and my cousins
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: used to sit around and left it that shit for hours.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I think the Clayton Bigsby skit is probably the best
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: skit ever. It took it, It took it. It was
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: so crazy, Bro, that's just wild to think that he
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: got that shit off. That sh would never flown in
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. No, no, but nothing that he did
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: would float like we go like nothing. Hey, And back
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: then he had Joe Rogan on there, he said, he said,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I don't know if you know this, Joe Rogan, but
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I smoked rugs. He was walking across the colls. His
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: feet were on fire. That shit was a basic man's crazy. Hey,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: So new album coming out in June. Uh, you got
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the project. The lyrics that goes out the new the
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: latest lyrics to go is fucking crazy. I'm assuming you
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: got other shit. I mean, go buy a crypto, Maury.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: It's not a scam. We're not going to see you
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: on the headlines of Fucking Hollywood Unlocked, saying Code of
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: the Friend under investigation for nft rugpool crypto. Mory's legit, boys,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: it's legit. You should pitch to the community the may
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Povich idea. You know, I'll tell to him about it
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: and see what they say. I'm telling you, I might.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I can't do anything, you know what I mean? I
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: might buy a cartoon version of Maury Povic. If there's
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: like fifty eight different Mary's. There's like you're the dad,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: You're not the dad Maury. There's like zombie Maury. There's
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Maury on Fetanyl. There's Maury happy Maury. They're sad Maury,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: Maury with the glasses reading Maury. So you know how
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: it is. He's worked there, you know what I mean.
