- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Mark Simone Show, Live from the
- 0:03Speaker 1: wr Life Back studios. Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight
- 0:09Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Radio City.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Madison Square Garden is all James Dolan always found it
- 0:22Speaker 1: to be a nice guy in real life. But a
- 0:24Speaker 1: lot of people, you know, mad at him for this
- 0:26Speaker 1: and that, and some of these law firms have sued
- 0:29Speaker 1: Madison Square Garden. So he uses facial recognition cameras at
- 0:34Speaker 1: the entrance, you know, Madison Square Garden. When they have
- 0:36Speaker 1: a concert and event sports, it'll be twenty thousand people
- 0:41Speaker 1: coming in, but they got those facial recognition cameras and
- 0:46Speaker 1: these things. I mean, these are real sophisticated things. You
- 0:49Speaker 1: hire one of these facial recognition companies and they spot
- 0:52Speaker 1: anybody that works in the law firm that's suing them,
- 0:57Speaker 1: and sometimes it's just an employee of the law firm,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and they don't let him in. They actually stop and
- 1:01Speaker 1: so this has caused a lot of controversy. Now, if
- 1:03Speaker 1: you're a law firm suing them and he doesn't want
- 1:06Speaker 1: to let you in, I don't know, is he wrong,
- 1:10Speaker 1: But he's stopping any employee of the law firm. So
- 1:12Speaker 1: apparently a woman got stopped coming into Radio City Take
- 1:16Speaker 1: a listen to this.
- 1:17Speaker 2: For years, MSG owner James Dolan has doubled down on
- 1:20Speaker 2: using facial recognition to scan anyone entering his venues and
- 1:25Speaker 2: banning individuals that he dislikes. In one widely reported case,
- 1:29Speaker 2: a mother was turned away from Radio City Music Hall
- 1:31Speaker 2: simply because she worked at a law firm involved in
- 1:34Speaker 2: litigation against Dolan. She was there chaperoning her girl scout
- 1:38Speaker 2: troop and posed no security threat.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Well you see slanted reporting. He does this to anybody
- 1:44Speaker 1: doesn't like. No, it sounds like he just does it
- 1:46Speaker 1: to a law firm that's suing him, and she works
- 1:50Speaker 1: for the law firm, and they make it sound like
- 1:52Speaker 1: she was scrubbing floors or something. She was probably one
- 1:54Speaker 1: of the lead lawyers on the case. I don't know,
- 1:58Speaker 1: is that wrong? Not if somebody's suing you, if you're
- 2:01Speaker 1: a restaurant, somebody's seeing you don't want to let him in.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I could understand that, And I don't know. She had
- 2:08Speaker 1: her girl stout troop with her ad on. Now sounds
- 2:12Speaker 1: like I can imagine one of these law firms sending somebody.
- 2:15Speaker 1: We'll go rent the girl scout troop and show up
- 2:17Speaker 1: and get turned away. I don't know, very very very
- 2:21Speaker 1: slanted reporting. Must be New York one or something. But anyway,
- 2:24Speaker 1: let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 2:28Speaker 1: seven ten. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Let's go to Jimmy in Bergen County. Jimmy, how you doing, Hey, Mark,
- 2:37Speaker 1: how you doing good? Well?
- 2:39Speaker 3: The regional qulling you had mentioned the Odyssey in Spider Man. Well,
- 2:45Speaker 3: my wife and I try to go see the Odyssey
- 2:47Speaker 3: in a theater in Richfield Park. And the thing is,
- 2:50Speaker 3: we are absolutely senior citizens, okay, And when we went
- 2:54Speaker 3: into the theater, we expected to pay and go to
- 2:57Speaker 3: our seat. She was at that point where you people
- 3:01Speaker 3: came right past us with their cell phone and showed
- 3:04Speaker 3: it to the you know, the lady at the gates,
- 3:08Speaker 3: and they walked right in and we didn't understand it.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And the well, I think they were paying with their phone.
- 3:13Speaker 1: They were, but they bought the ticket and they were
- 3:15Speaker 1: paying with their phone.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. That. The thing is
- 3:20Speaker 3: a lot of senior citizens don't realize that because we
- 3:23Speaker 3: have a place up in Hunt the mountain. And when
- 3:26Speaker 3: we went to this little mountain cinema that has about
- 3:29Speaker 3: fifty cheers, we loved it. Oh my god, we love you.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Walk in, you give the people a couple of bucks
- 3:35Speaker 3: and you go to your seat most laying, no dance,
- 3:38Speaker 3: and you want to.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Your phone faster. So you and your wife you go
- 3:43Speaker 1: to a lot of movies right that way. You don't
- 3:45Speaker 1: have to talk to her.
- 3:47Speaker 4: No. No.
- 3:48Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, my son that was working
- 3:50Speaker 3: on a second mistice from computer stuff before he got
- 3:54Speaker 3: murdered by Isis and he would normally, you know, have
- 3:57Speaker 3: taken care of that course. But as seen, is not
- 4:01Speaker 3: that familiar with cell phones. It's frustrating.
- 4:05Speaker 1: All right, Well catch up. It's not that complicated. If
- 4:08Speaker 1: a fifteen year old can figure it out, you can
- 4:10Speaker 1: figure it out. Learn how to do it by your phone.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Come on, learn how to do learn how to do it?
- 4:18Speaker 1: You get the modern world. You know, things are a
- 4:20Speaker 1: lot easier in a lot of ways. Now. You know
- 4:23Speaker 1: you can listen to the show. You know half our
- 4:25Speaker 1: audience right now is listening on their phone. You download
- 4:28Speaker 1: the iHeart app and whenever you wherever you are. You
- 4:31Speaker 1: can listen on the phone. It's really easy. You can't
- 4:35Speaker 1: listen to the show live. You get the podcast, you know,
- 4:38Speaker 1: on the iHeart app or any any podcast app. Your
- 4:41Speaker 1: your iPhone has a podcast app right in it. You
- 4:44Speaker 1: can listen to the show anytime, twenty four hours a day.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And you can order stuff online any of these takeout
- 4:52Speaker 1: places like right outside do you got the Chipotle? You
- 4:56Speaker 1: got chopped, great salad place. But you go on the
- 4:59Speaker 1: a app, you type in your order, you pay on
- 5:03Speaker 1: the app. It's all set. It tells you to be
- 5:05Speaker 1: ready in ten minutes. You go in. In ten minutes,
- 5:08Speaker 1: everything's there waiting for you in a bag with your
- 5:10Speaker 1: name on it. You just grab it and leave. You
- 5:12Speaker 1: don't have to talk to anybody. You don't have to.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It's great, you know, isn't it annoying when you go
- 5:17Speaker 1: on these You're going to Chipotle and the guy's starting
- 5:21Speaker 1: to make your burrito, and then all of a sudden
- 5:23Speaker 1: he starts talking to the other guy and he drips
- 5:24Speaker 1: away for like two Manyes, you don't have to watch
- 5:26Speaker 1: any of that. You don't have to see any of that.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Starbucks wherever. You just order everything online, everything and if
- 5:34Speaker 1: you're older and you don't do that, start doing it.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You'll find it's much much easier. Your iPhone can do
- 5:40Speaker 1: everything for you.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Hey.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Speaking of which, the new iPhone comes out next month.
- 5:44Speaker 1: It'll be the iPhone eighteen. So far i'm hearing is
- 5:49Speaker 1: much much much bigger battery, longer battery life. Everything will
- 5:52Speaker 1: be faster, much better camera. New watch is coming out.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If you use the health features in the watch, like
- 6:00Speaker 1: the sleep tracking, the breathing all that, apparently it's it's
- 6:04Speaker 1: not that great right now in the Apple Watch, but
- 6:06Speaker 1: apparently major upgrade to the health features coming in the
- 6:10Speaker 1: new Eye Watch. Let's go to Sal in Long Island. Sal.
- 6:13Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 6:15Speaker 5: Yes, Hi, good morning, Marks. That's taking Oh I like
- 6:18Speaker 5: a peppy guy. Yeah, I'm wide awake.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Just a couple of things to talk to you about.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Number one, that keeps saying that the may of New
- 6:28Speaker 5: York City Monteme, that she he's an idiot. He doesn't
- 6:30Speaker 5: know what he's doing, And I think we think you're
- 6:32Speaker 5: the opposite. He's smart. He's ruining the city like he's
- 6:35Speaker 5: supposed to. His handle is a telling him what to
- 6:37Speaker 5: do because he's only a kid. He's thirty four never
- 6:40Speaker 5: did anything. So he's got people telling him what they're doing.
- 6:43Speaker 1: No m what nobody tells him what to do. He
- 6:46Speaker 1: runs his own thing. The good news is he's all talk.
- 6:48Speaker 1: He just talks a lot. He's lazy, doesn't actually do anything.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And I hear a lot of weed, a lot of
- 6:54Speaker 1: weed lately, so that that's good.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Yeah, he's just keep discourage. He never took sanitation or
- 7:01Speaker 5: the fire devombit. He needs them. But I don't know
- 7:04Speaker 5: about him. Sometimes it's too well planted.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I think I love how you just make up stuff.
- 7:10Speaker 1: This is it well. First of all, he has touched
- 7:13Speaker 1: the fire department. He's put in his own fire commission.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Although she's pretty good, she's actually not bad. Where are
- 7:18Speaker 1: you in Long Island?
- 7:21Speaker 5: Seacliff up on the north shore.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Very beautiful there right in the water Stea Cliff is
- 7:25Speaker 1: quite beautiful. Nice little small, sleepy fishing village. Very nice.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I was right near there the other day Friday, I
- 7:33Speaker 1: was in Long Island and I went to the new
- 7:35Speaker 1: Uncle Giuseppes opened in Greenvale. What an opening. Thousands of people.
- 7:41Speaker 1: You couldn't even park in the was so busy. It's
- 7:44Speaker 1: just for the opening. It'll calm downs. Yeah, that sounds
- 7:49Speaker 1: like a lot of fun. Spend the day with you.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Come over. I just think about Trump keeps saying we
- 7:56Speaker 5: have more oil than anybody else was selling it to
- 7:59Speaker 5: the countries opening four dollars a gallon.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Well, that has nothing to do that has nothing to
- 8:03Speaker 1: do with Trump. That's New York state tax, all the
- 8:06Speaker 1: city and state tax. Remember, gas is like three eighty
- 8:09Speaker 1: all over the country. It's four eighty here in New York.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That's that's all New York's stuff. You could easily get.
- 8:15Speaker 1: You know, all these democrats yell and screen about affordability taxes.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You want affordability. Cut the taxes, get the gas prices.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Just eliminate the gas taxes. During the war, it would
- 8:26Speaker 1: come right down to three eighty. You know that new
- 8:29Speaker 1: study shows that right now many most Americans are paying
- 8:34Speaker 1: more in taxes than they do for food, clothing, and shelter. Affordability.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Cut the taxes. Let's go to Max and Manhattan. Max.
- 8:42Speaker 4: How you doing, Mark, Thank you for taking my call.
- 8:46Speaker 4: There's a bill that's local signed into effect and it well,
- 8:50Speaker 4: it took effect I think the sixth of this month,
- 8:53Speaker 4: and essentially it allows anyone in the hospital to go
- 8:57Speaker 4: when you're in the hospital and you're sick, they can
- 8:59Speaker 4: go and inject something and kill you. It's called made
- 9:02Speaker 4: m AID and medical Assistance in dying.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, we'll look into that. That's like Jack Cavorkian,
- 9:10Speaker 1: doctor Jack Kvorkian, who is probably better liked right now
- 9:14Speaker 1: than doctor Fauci. Well, we'll get to doctor Fauci coming
- 9:17Speaker 1: up a little later in the show. We'll get to
- 9:20Speaker 1: Iran and a whole lot more coming up. Mark Simone
- 9:24Speaker 1: here nine to noon. Every day. Nine to noon is
- 9:27Speaker 1: a new hour nine to noon, and then of course
- 9:30Speaker 1: at noon it's Buck and Clay with a wonderful show.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And then they'll most listen to radio show in America
- 9:35Speaker 1: Sean Hannity three, Jesse Kelly six o'clock every day, and
- 9:39Speaker 1: a very funny Jimmy Fail. If you haven't listened to
- 9:42Speaker 1: the show, listen to it. You'll get hooked right away.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Jimmy Fayle is on every night at nine on seven
- 9:47Speaker 1: to ten WR
