- 2:19around here any amount of time? If not, you're going to get to
- 2:22know him pretty well. Sandy Frampton, Hey, man, Hey, thanks
- 2:25for having me. Man, thank you for being here, and no problem.
- 2:28It gets me out on a regular job. And what is do we
- 2:30want to know what the regular job is? They're not listening there. They're
- 2:35slaving away right now. I'm getting a two hour break from being here on
- 2:38this to promote stuff. You know, the show's only one hour, right
- 2:42You told them you had to be away for two hours. That's why I
- 2:45didn't tell them what station it was going to be on. Well, thank
- 2:47thankfully nobody listens. All right, so we're gonna get to know Andy Buns.
- 2:52You get to play ten Questions a little bit later. Are you excited
- 2:53about ten Questions? Super hyped about having to think my favorite thing early in
- 2:59the morning. All right, So you know, we do a thing every
- 3:02Friday where we invite our good friend Hannah Gardner from the Canaw Charlest New Main
- 3:07Association in with this week's adopt Me please pat the week. Let's go to
- 3:09Hannah. Hannah, good morning, how are you? I'm great? How
- 3:14are you? I am doing fine? You haven't been on in a while
- 3:15because we didn't do the show last week and then the week before that you
- 3:19were ailing. As the old folks used to say, Are you feeling better
- 3:23now? Oh? Yeah? I had no voice. I couldn't talk at
- 3:27all. It was terrible. But I'm great now. All right, We've
- 3:30got Andy Frampton with a local comedian extraordinaire. He's going to be our guest
- 3:34host today Andy Hannah, Hannah, Andy love it to meejor Hannah. Hello,
- 3:38how are you fine? All right? Well, let's get to the
- 3:40pet of the week this week. It's Morgan. That's the dog's name.
- 3:45Morgan's picture is always posted on Dave Island Radio, on Facebook and at Dave
- 3:49A seventy on x. The artist formerly known as Twitter Hannah tell us about
- 3:53Morgan all right. So Morgan she is about eight months old. She's around
- 4:00eight months old. We go bout their teeth and their gums, so she's
- 4:05around eight fish months. But she was found as a stray in Knostate Forest
- 4:10along with three of her other siblings. I'm assuming I'm not one hundred percent
- 4:15of show to say were her siblings, but they all had very similar characteristics,
- 4:19so I would say that maybe they were siblings. They were brought in
- 4:24back in September. Me and Angie, who was on the show last week
- 4:28or the week before. I believe she and I both were the ones who
- 4:31went to Knostate Forests and got them. So we got to see where they
- 4:34were and everything, and they were very, very scared. But they've warmed
- 4:38up a lot, and all of the other three got adopted, but I
- 4:41think Morgan is the only one left. She's very very good on the leash,
- 4:46and she warmed up to you rather quickly. She is very shy at
- 4:51first. She's more of a calm, quiet, laid back kind of dog.
- 4:57She just takes a minute to warm up to you. She warms up.
- 5:00She's very social. She is slightly headshy if you go too fast with
- 5:04her. So headshy is like whenever you go really fast at them or over
- 5:10their head or something like that and they hug her down and give you like
- 5:13a whale lie or something, that is usually them being a little bit head
- 5:17shy. So you just have to be patient with her. She's not gonna
- 5:20do anything from what we've known, what we've learned from her being there.
- 5:26She's very very sweet, but she just takes a moment to get to know
- 5:30you, very very superl She's about nineteen pounds. Okay, that was gonna
- 5:34be My question was how big is she? Do we have any idea what
- 5:36kind of dog she is? Uh? No, I have no idea what
- 5:41kind of dog she is. But she's definitely a small dog. She's going
- 5:45to stay a small dog what she is now, she's probably going to stay
- 5:49unless she fills out some more or anything. But she's definitely made to be
- 5:53a little small dog. But she's very very sweet. She also, I'm
- 5:57sure that most people are going to look at the picture and see that she
- 6:00has that red dot around one of her eye are not around but like on
- 6:03one of her eyes that is actually called cherry eye. For anybody that doesn't
- 6:08know it, doesn't like it can go away on the phone, but most
- 6:13of the time they require surgery to go away. It's just when the small
- 6:17ligament that holds the third eyeland or the eyelid land in place stretches or breaks
- 6:23and then it pops out of the eye. So it's nothing bad or nothing
- 6:27that you have to really worry about. One of my dogs had it,
- 6:30and I did get the surgery for it. But you know, you have
- 6:33two different options. You can have them removed or you can have them just
- 6:36tucked in. So either way it's not gonna harm her. Even if she
- 6:41doesn't get any surgery for it or anything like that, she could look perfectly
- 6:44fine with it. But she's a very very good girl. She's kid friendly
- 6:48from what we've noticed, and she's also very dog friendly, but she prefers
- 6:54dogs that are more calm because she is also very calm. Well, she's
- 6:58a beautiful dog and she would definitely make a good pet, especially for somebody
- 7:01I think that's looking for, like you said, a small dog, maybe
- 7:03somebody in an apartment or something like that, or somebody that's looking for a
- 7:09dog, like a good looking dog. Andy, Yeah, that's you know,
- 7:12I've never had a dog in my life. I'm not at a point
- 7:15where I can adopt one, but I will tell you she has a beautiful
- 7:18dog, and I've worked with the Animal Filter a few times before running transports
- 7:23New York and back. If somebody adopts this dog, they'll let it be
- 7:27known that if you're not going to give the surgery for the eye, I
- 7:30will definitely have my girlfriend to make you a sek one diye patch so it
- 7:33can be the fanciest one eyed dog on the block. There you go,
- 7:38There you go. All right, I got a question here for you,
- 7:41Hannah. As always, your fan mail is here. Okay, you ready?
- 7:44Tex says for Hannah, how are the puppies that were dumped in a
- 7:46tote in the freezing cold outside of a Charleston ery pizza hut a few days
- 7:49ago? And then there's a quote of the news story police reportedly looking for
- 7:54a golden older model pickup truck as a suspective vehicle truck also described as being
- 7:59beat up body damage. If seen or recognized the please contact the Charleston Police
- 8:03Department. Any update on that one. Yes, they are. I believe
- 8:09they're all available. Now. I think we've got their names, their pizza
- 8:13wings and breadsticks. Nice. That's good. Suddenly you had suddenly Andy and
- 8:20I are interested? Now? Yeah, yeah, so they I believe they
- 8:24are available and good to go. They were medically cleared. They didn't have
- 8:30anything wrong with them that they noticed from just a bass exam or anything like
- 8:35that. And they are eating and ready for a good cozy home. They
- 8:39are ready for adoption. You think they are ready for adoption? Yeah?
- 8:43What were the sexes of the dogs? And how many were there? I
- 8:48think there was if I'm thinking right. There was two boys and a girl.
- 8:52There's two white ones and then a little little like creamish colored ones,
- 8:56and then there's a little like black and brown, looking very very very cute,
- 9:01very sweet. And they are very little, and I think that they're
- 9:03not going to get very big. If you're interested in something that's maybe going
- 9:07to be like a medium sized dog. Okay, all right, well I
- 9:09appreciate the update. Going back to Morgan, I had a text here somebody
- 9:13said how much is Morganway? I know we covered that, but I've already
- 9:16forgotten how much is Morganway? Will? Probably two weighs nineteen pounds, okay,
- 9:22And you said probably not going to get much bigger than that. No,
- 9:26unless she gets chunk here. But that's about it. It happens to
- 9:28the best of us. Yeah, I did have a text to the show
- 9:31yesterday Hannah about somebody you know, there's all these Christmas parades are going to
- 9:35be going on. Our stations are going to be involved in a lot of
- 9:37those. But somebody asked because the weather they's supposed to be pretty nice tomorrow,
- 9:41either tomorrow or in the month of December, you guys planning on being
- 9:43out of any of the Christmas parades because they were there pointing texting this annim
- 9:48was just to say, well, you know, might be an opportunity you
- 9:50got a lot of people there to take some of the animals out to be
- 9:52adopted. Any plans of that that you know of. We originally were going
- 9:58to be at the Christmas praide that we usually go to, but we aren't
- 10:03going to go this year for the safety of the shelter dogs, just because
- 10:07of the new respiratory virus that is going around. Oh yeah, that's know
- 10:13about and we really are trying to be very cautious to not have spaces at
- 10:16the shelter. That's some pretty scary stuff. And I know you guys have
- 10:20got something posted on your social media about that, about this respiratory ailment,
- 10:22that is that it is apparently impacting a lot of animals across the country.
- 10:28That's really scary stuff. Yes, yes it is, and it's very important
- 10:35for everybody to keep in close watch of your pets at home as well,
- 10:39when especially if you take them to dog parts and stuff, because it starts
- 10:43apparently as just a regular old cross that sounds like kennel cough or something,
- 10:48and then it just slowly progresses, So you definitely want to keep an eye
- 10:50on all your dogs. It's spreads very, very easily, so definitely keep
- 10:56an eye on that and keep your dog safe and vaccinated. That's actually what
- 11:00I was going to ask, was was it anything comparable to kennel cough,
- 11:03if it was more extreme than that or what, because that's what kind of
- 11:05sounded like. That's crazy though, it is that next we're having that,
- 11:09we'll have dogs masked up next. I guess Hannah, with the Christmas season
- 11:13being here, we'll let you go after this. A couple of things.
- 11:16As I said about and by the way, you guys just do a fantastic
- 11:18job on your social media with not only posting the pictures of the animals that
- 11:22are available up for adoption, but also various things that you need at the
- 11:28shelter. And I know you do have a Christmas wish list up on there,
- 11:31and these are things that speaking of kennel cough, Andy apparently has it
- 11:35now. Good job, Hannah now infected. So but let's talk. But
- 11:39let's talk about some things that are needed at the shelter for the holiday season
- 11:41and for that matter, year round. Yeah, so I know currently right
- 11:46now we do have a wish list for the holiday season and it is on
- 11:50our Facebook. But we need of course, we always need curing, a
- 11:54dog show and catch show. That's a given. We need that all the
- 11:58time. It goes so fast. And then I'd have to say that we
- 12:01could really use some puppy pads and some paper towels, some wet food streets,
- 12:07blankets, towels, anything, and your atticts that you have don't use
- 12:11that is blankets are towels related, We will take it. And gloves.
- 12:15I think those are our biggest things right now. And you're going to be
- 12:18doing photos with Santa I understand next week on the tenth. Is that right,
- 12:22yes, all right, and there's information available about that on your Facebook
- 12:24page. All right, doctor Hannah. One more, one more, She's
- 12:28not really a doctor, but she plays one on the radio. I do
- 12:31have somebody that texted another question about that ailment. We're talking about that respiratory
- 12:35distress for lack of a better term, with the dogs. Does it affect
- 12:39cats? Someone wants to know. As far as everyone has, like all
- 12:45the vets and all the research has been given, it doesn't cross to from
- 12:50cats to dogs or anything like that. And then I don't think they've seen
- 12:52it in cats either, so I'm pretty sure it's just currently dogs and just
- 12:58watching out for all of the respiratory with them. All right, Hannah,
- 13:01as always pleasure to have you on the show. We'll talk to you next
- 13:03week. Thanks a lot. Thank you. Had a gardener again from the
- 13:07Knaw Charlest Newman Association with our Adoptmy Please Pet of the week, Let's review
- 13:11and again the dog is the pictures posted on my Facebook page and Dave Allen
- 13:16Radio and it is also on the Dave Allen Show on X. The artist
- 13:20from me on Twitter. Morgan is eight months old, around nineteen or twenty
- 13:24pounds female found as astray with her siblings Canos State Force shy a little bit,
- 13:31walks well on a leash, seems to do well with other dogs,
- 13:35very laid back, kind of keeps to herself, seems to be kid friendly,
- 13:39and has this dot on her eye. And again Hannah kind of explained
- 13:43that it's called cherry eye and it doesn't seem to cause her any problems.
- 13:46But it could be removed with surgery. But if you choose not to,
- 13:50it doesn't seem that it's causing any problem. So this would be a fantastic
- 13:54dog. He said, you don't have a dog, Andy, this might
- 13:56be the dog for you. It could be and very what could be the
- 14:00cocoder with my girlfriend? Now, yeah, she moved in recently, so
- 14:03now she gets an actual vote or or you know, you just make room
- 14:07for the dog and not the girl. Now I am not trying to cause
- 14:09problems. I'm just kid. I'm kidding. Wouldn't be the first time,
- 14:13all right. That's and Andah Garder gift for the canals charge you made association

- 17:49you're gonna be well, that's my job, you know, but you're going
- 17:52to be in the spotlight a little bit later of we're gonna do ten questions
- 17:55with Andy frant Let's just got a lot of exciting things going on to Charleston,
- 17:57and one of them involves Pepperoni roles. He got my attention with that.
- 18:00We'll talk to Andy about that a little bit later on. Evan Osborn
- 18:03from Capital Markets Here, have a good morning. How are you wonderful?
- 18:07How are y'all fine? Thank you for being here on the show. Have
- 18:11you have you just refreshed my memory? Have you co hosted the show before?
- 18:15You've done Friday fun House? Yeah? In fact, I was just
- 18:18thinking to myself, I think, goodness, I'm not in the ten question.
- 18:21Natzie. Okay, I know you've been on the show, but I
- 18:22was trying to think of that this morning. If you've been on, But
- 18:25yeah, you did, You did do the show, so well, maybe
- 18:27it's time for a repeat. Maybe we'll have you on again. But what's
- 18:30going on at Capitol Market? You got some you got one particular big event
- 18:33and it's the holiday season, so you've got a lot of stuff going on.
- 18:36We got a lot of stuff going on like always, But today starts
- 18:41our three part weekend series the Capital Market the Holiday Village at Capital Market,
- 18:47and this is the first year we've done it, so we're excited to bring
- 18:51it to the community, just to kind of give you a quick rundown about
- 18:55what it is. It is Capital Market's take on a globally inspired European holiday
- 19:03village, and it's an opportunity for us to partner with the artists that participate
- 19:10in festival's art fairs and things like that. So we're gonna showcase local artists,
- 19:15We're gonna bring in some globally inspired food and drink from not only our
- 19:19great Capital Market vendors, but from a few outside folks as well. And
- 19:22then so each weekend now through the next three weekends, we'll have a different
- 19:27theme, starting this weekend with Latin America. Next weekend we'll go to a
- 19:33German Christmas and then finally we're going to round the last weekend out with a
- 19:37French inspired take on on on the Holidays. And so tonight Christopher Vincent has
- 19:45put together a salsa band, so we're gonna we're gonna have salsa music out
- 19:48amongst the Christmas trees. And tomorrow night we'll be showing Elf in Spanish,
- 19:55Elf in Spanish Andy anything on that. You know, I've watched Elf all
- 20:02from finished to start to finish one time, and if it's the second time
- 20:06I ever see the movie. I absolutely wanted to be in Spanish. Absolutely
- 20:08Google Google Cotton Headed Ninni Muggins in Spanish. It'll it'll make sure. I
- 20:14don't think we're allowed to do that on company computers. I think we're barely
- 20:17allowed to say that on the radio. Well, okay, so, so
- 20:21we got the Latin America thing or Latin, I guess the not the mayor
- 20:25the Latin thing going on, and what if some of the other cultures again
- 20:29the following week Next weekend will be German. Okay, okay, finally French
- 20:33and French and French. So how did you decide what ones to go with
- 20:37because there's only so many weeks? So well, we kind of wanted to
- 20:41remain a little true to the model of how they do it in Europe and
- 20:45particularly in Germany and in Austria this time of year, but we also wanted
- 20:51to kind of use it as an opportunity to highlight some of the local producers
- 20:55and things that we have going on in Charleston. And this has been a
- 21:00true collaborative effort. I really want to thank the folks at festival for for
- 21:06helping get the ball rolling. Maria Belcher and Naomi Bays for lending their their
- 21:11ear and their creative inspiration. Finally, I want to thank the Capital Market
- 21:15Board of Directors for letting me go down these rabbit holes. We've done more
- 21:18new events this year than we have in the past several and I really appreciate
- 21:25them letting us pitch an idea and then and then running with it. It's
- 21:30been It's been really fun. And then finally too, City of Charleston,
- 21:36we've got a whole holiday vibe going and this I think will compliment everything else
- 21:41that's going on really nicely. From Holly Jolly Brawley to light the night over
- 21:45at the Ballpark. I mean, this is you're right about that. I
- 21:48mean we've talked a lot about that and had city officials and others on the
- 21:52show to talk about. Plus, I mean the chatter from the general public
- 21:55has been Charleston's kind of the place to be this Christmas season. I mean
- 21:59it started off with the two day event with Holly Jolly Bradley, which is
- 22:02you know, continuing on but the but the big two day activity, and
- 22:06then what's going on over to Ballpark? I mean, you know, two
- 22:08million lights over to ballpark it is absolutely amazing. It looks crazy. You
- 22:12know. That's when when I work in the weekends in Charleston, when I
- 22:15bought in downtown, i leave. Uh if it gets left on late at
- 22:18night and I come by, it's just like a beacon of niceness. I'm
- 22:22like, oh, yeah, it's wild, it's three in the morning,
- 22:25but it's good glowing or it's like we have our own little sphere. Yeah.
- 22:29Yeah. And in the Capital Market again, it's a it's a gym
- 22:33in Charleston, and we all know about that. But I will say this
- 22:36too, this is something. This is kind of your as thing is the
- 22:38Christmas season for the trees and all the other things you have going on.
- 22:41I mean, there's there's always a lot going on Capital Market, but especially
- 22:45during a Christmas season. From from Christmas trees, there's live garland, gift
- 22:48baskets, it's you can you can knock out, if not all, large
- 22:56majority of your holiday shopping and you're not only supporting uh West Virginia farmers and
- 23:00local small business owners, but you can find things that you're not going to
- 23:04find anywhere else. A lot of people, I always like to reiterate,
- 23:08aren't aware that Capital Market itself is a five oh one c three nonprofit and
- 23:14our mission lives in breeze with growing entrepreneurs supporting the small business owners. I
- 23:22can tell you that they work harder than anyone I know, and that's really
- 23:26where we draw our inspiration from. We want to hold up to the standard
- 23:30that they hold to their businesses and and and really give back all that they
- 23:36give in to making the market such a special place. And I've said this
- 23:38many times, and when you've been on the show and other times, you
- 23:41know, we're lucky to have something like Capital Market here because this is something
- 23:47that you see in in Columbus, you see in Pittsburgh, you see in
- 23:51Charlotte, some of the other bigger cities in our region lexings and maybe you
- 23:53don't think about that in Charleston. And whenever people come in, if they
- 23:56travel in for business or whatever. One of the first things that I tell
- 24:00them, people at the hotels and Marriott and ra Embassy sweet sell though,
- 24:03so, well, what is there to do? It starts with Capital Market
- 24:07and we take that seriously. If this is going to be people's first impression
- 24:11at Charleston, we obviously want to make it a good one. So the
- 24:15things that we do, like the Holiday Village, are away for us to
- 24:21really showcase the best of you know, not just what Charleston has to offer,
- 24:25but you know our surrounding communities as well. And I did want to
- 24:29get one more plug. And we are able to do the things like the
- 24:33Holiday Village through our community support. So we are in that season of giving.
- 24:37If you would be interested in making a fully tax deductible give, check
- 24:41out Capital market dot net or like me, if you'd rather get something for
- 24:45it. We have our last fundraising event of the year, the Marymarket Mingle
- 24:49on December thirteenth. Both of those Information about all of that is available on
- 24:53Capital market dot Net. All right, Evan is always it is a pleasure
- 24:57to have you on the show. Yet you guys know okay, all right,
- 25:02well thank you and Andy now you know where to go by your your
- 25:04girlfriend's Christmas gift, so she's gonna drag me over there regardless. Yeah,
- 25:07all right, all right. Uh, great to have you here, and
- 25:11we'll talk again soon in the new year, or if not before then awesome.
- 25:15Thanks. Evan Osborne from Capital Market is is here. Appreciate you being
- 25:19here, my friend. We'll talk again soon. Thanks. A lot makes
- 25:22us. All right, it is twenty eight minutes away from ten Andy,
- 25:26I have a text here that seems like it's right up your alley. As
- 25:29we transition into our next guest coming in here, he's not actually a guest.
- 25:33He actually, you know, stays here a lot. Is Charleston ever
- 25:36going to have a Crampus celebration December the fifth? Oh, come on in,
- 25:40come on in, gave big back in there. I was actually going
- 25:41to ask that, but I thought we were out of time. All right,
- 25:44go ahead, go ahead, Evan. Do you have something you want
- 25:45to say about its perked up? Yes, come to German Weekend, as
- 25:49we'll say, we'll get to be Crampus of the German one. All right,
- 25:52cool, all right, all right, there you go. So the
- 25:56question the question was, is Charleston never gonna have a crampus celebration December fifth?
- 26:00The day he comes for the bad children? So yeah, it's going
- 26:02to be part of the German thing over at Capitol Market. So there you
- 26:06go. Questions answered, Yeah, we have to keep all the copper pots
- 26:07away so nobody can catch him and he can drag the naughty kids away,
- 26:11because that's how it works. Catch him. I didn't know he was contagious.
- 26:15That voice you hear is our good friend rob Real from his sister Station
- 26:18ninety six one in the Superstar Country KWS Robert, good morning, how are
- 26:21you? I can't complain sometimes I still do. Life has been good to
- 26:23me so far. Yeah, it as mister Walsh. This is Andy Frampton.
- 26:26By the way, comedian Andy Andy Frampton comes alive. How many times
- 26:30has that joke been made? I'm sorry. I actually use references to Peter
- 26:33Frampton very often because I'm forty one years old now, and I remember when
- 26:37I first started going to bars and the bouncer would look at my ID and
- 26:41say Frampton, like Peter Frampton. I would say yeah. And then about
- 26:44five to eight years went by and a kid was on a door younger than
- 26:48me, and he looks at my idea and goes Frampton, and I said,
- 26:49yeah, like Peter Frampton. He went who yeah. And that's that's
- 26:55how I knew that I was getting old. I was like, oh,
- 26:57well, you have to show him the way I have to. I was
- 27:00at the show years ago when he came here with Tommy Shaw and skinnered,
- 27:03and I had a sign that said can I get in Haridon's money. But
- 27:06apparently, apparently British Frampton's and Appalachian Frampton's are two different vibes. I'm guessing
- 27:11the tree diverged in the wood long time. Yeah, somewhere around that time
- 27:17we became Pennsylvania Dutch. She'd just stop being the same bloodline before we get
- 27:22to Robbity. To get this in every day alland showing five Any Life brought

- 27:45know can hurt you. Rob Real, whether you know him or not,
- 27:48we can't hurt you, and Rob's here to talk about. Today's the final
- 27:52day of w V Bargains dot Com. We kicked this thing off Wednesday and
- 27:56it's going to run through five o'clock today. Party packages available from Kiddaroo's Limo
- 28:00Service courtesy of Chandler Limousine tax services from Penny Pinchers. Gift certificates from Dunbar
- 28:06Furniture. Pew Furniture's got some things in there. There's a go kart from
- 28:11West Virginia Auto Sales, a truck driving scholarship. Hold on, hold on,
- 28:15stop, what are you doing? Not mentioned in the one thing everybody
- 28:18cares about it. We'll get their shug settled down. That's what everybody wants
- 28:22to talk about. The fire truck. The fire truck. We'll get to
- 28:25that. But Rob, there's a lot of cool things on there. Sixty
- 28:27five seventy percent off available for auction as we speak till five o'clock today.
- 28:33So let me be the responsible person for just this one moment in my life.
- 28:37Okay, winter is coming, Winter is coming, and five hundred dollars
- 28:41gift certificate Eddie's tire. I have two nieces who just got married. I
- 28:47just gave them both away. Man. Did it take a long time to
- 28:48find somebody to take them. But they both Because when you're young and you
- 28:53don't have a lot of money, and you're freshly married, and you have
- 28:56vehicles that barely start and they're held together by twine and baling wire and that
- 29:00sort of thing. So a new set of shoes are going to happen for
- 29:03one of the girls. Cars actually may happen for both, but so so
- 29:06you could be responsible. You could do that, or you could buy a
- 29:10fire truck. You have a fire truck. I'm just saying, ooh,
- 29:15the Max Firework package. I like this for just seven hundred and eighty two
- 29:19shots. I used to dance it to the name Max Firework and ooh,
- 29:23the Actually you could say big on that. Math is hard, but you
- 29:26could still save more than fifty percent with the next bid on that. And
- 29:30a fire truck is valued at fifteen thousand dollars nineteen eighty one GMC fire truck,
- 29:37it's got seventeen thousand miles, and the current bid is cared to guess,
- 29:41lads, you want to guess retail value is fifteen thousand dollars. We
- 29:45got a bid for five thousand higher, ten lower, nine sixty seven to
- 29:52fifty. Sixty seven to fifty is the current I was going to go seventy
- 29:56eight. That fire truck is older than you are. Yeah, just Bayley
- 30:00just barely. Just I bet just as functional, though he doesn't want to
- 30:03start in the morning, has been involved in nearly as many fires exactly as
- 30:07you. Exactly. Somebody text the show Robins said, how did you guys
- 30:11get a fire truck? And who's I said, I don't know. We
- 30:14just we just had a fire. And that's the cool thing about the about
- 30:17guys is because I've had you know, I had animal on yesterday, and
- 30:19I had coup on Wednesday, and of course Frampton on here today, and
- 30:22you the only thing anybody wants to talk about is that fire truck. I
- 30:26mean, don't get me wrong. Five hundred dollars gift certificates a Dunbar furniture.
- 30:30That's a fantastic true you could have a well appointed home, a pew
- 30:34furniture. We've got gift certificates for there. I'm just I'm kind of scrolling
- 30:37through. Seven hundred fifty dollars gift certificate for him lock Haven. That'd be
- 30:41a nice little get away. They are all sorts of great choices in here,
- 30:44even a two hundred and fifty dollars gift certificate to Appalachian Cannabis company that
- 30:48could maybe help with some of your health concerns, he said responsibly, I
- 30:52do need a back out of me. So suddenly, if you have a
- 30:57chronic health issue, I got them drus that's the way to go. Maybe
- 31:02you won't get a truck driving what was the name of truck drivings boone county,
- 31:04truck driving a county. So you know, maybe a new career in
- 31:08the current bid is two thousand dollars. That's amazing, that's amazing. And
- 31:12again it all ends at five o'clock today, and we want to try to
- 31:15you know, push our local people here, but we do want to let
- 31:18because this is a company wide thing, and we have stations in Morgantown,
- 31:21Beckley, Martin's Burg in different places. All of these markets, all of
- 31:25these all of our stations, our sister stations all have their clients that have
- 31:29things up there too. So if it's a good enough bargain and you want
- 31:30to drive to Morgantown to get it, or make arrangements to go to Martinsburg
- 31:33or Beckley or whatever, you may want to do that as well. I
- 31:37feel like somebody in the WVU fan base slash student base may get a hold
- 31:41of that fire truck and they have baby Blue. They might have to do
- 31:45a whole new deal with the burning couches because ready ready to put about.
- 31:52It all ends though at five o'clock this evening. Rob, I appreciate as
- 31:55always you stop and buy now, let me get this in here, you
- 31:59myself, animals shockly from our sisters Station Steve Jenny. We're all going to
- 32:02be out a whole lot in all these Christmas parades. Yes, actually we're
- 32:07performing as the burning Couches. It's Max Max Firework and the burning Couches.
- 32:13So it's what it's. It's it's the d Tonight Dunbar at this evening,
- 32:17and I'm doing this scevening. I'm doing tomorrow, okay, and then the
- 32:20the the trifecta is South Charleston Nitro tomorrow. There are several parades tomorrow.
- 32:29I think those are the we can't be in all of them, but I'm
- 32:31going to be in the South Charleston's tomorrow, and I think you were gonna
- 32:36be just about an all. I'm gonna be in as many of them as
- 32:37I can. And and my apologies to places like Cissonville and Clint Dennon,
- 32:42because there are some parades that are just conflicting with other parades, and and
- 32:45it was kind of the we got into this one first, and so we
- 32:47can't go to that one. But I don't know, work y'all schedules out,
- 32:51Yeah, like a custody agreement. One in July. You know,
- 32:55I would not be mad about that. A long time ago, at a
- 32:58radio station far far away whin Atchi, Washington, we tried to take the
- 33:01title of world's shortest Saint Patrick's Day parade. It used to be in Arkansas,
- 33:07and one of the two pubs between which the parade took place actually went
- 33:10out of business. So it was ninety eight feet in and it was I'm
- 33:15not exaggerating, it was from one pub to another. It was crawling distance,
- 33:20as I like to say. And maybe we need, maybe we need
- 33:23a Christmas in July parade like that because heat and humidity and this fat boy
- 33:28don't want to go too far. And I'm for it. I'll dress the
- 33:30Santa and get on one of those scooters with the Q coat on it,
- 33:32strap some streamers and a bullhorn tokee. I'll do it. See, I
- 33:36had you peged for more of a jazzy scooter. We can dress them up.
- 33:39We can dress them. Put some paper reindeer on the front. That's
- 33:42your sleigh. That's the way to go. All right, So from this
- 33:45point forward, you two are not allowed to ever talk again. Okay,
- 33:47Rob Reel, this is good. Itsnax fireworks that can be max capacity.
- 33:52It works, wonderful, your powers activate. We're a team. I think
- 33:57you're I think your record running out. I think you need head back down
- 34:00to the basement, Rob Real from our sisters Station ninety six one KWS.
- 34:06I appreciate Rob for being here. Wvbargains dot Com. It wraps up at
- 34:09five o'clock this evening. Go get you some stuff on there's a lot of
- 34:15cool stuff available. We're going to take a break. We're back after this.

- 37:15comedy and getting some other stuff in, including ten questions by the way,
- 37:19give us, give us your background. Where are you from? Man,
- 37:22I'm actually from Chesapeake, the West Virginia when not the Ohio one, because
- 37:25that is the normal question I get. I'm from Chesapeake, Ohio. Yes,
- 37:30I drive all the way here from Chesapeake, Ohio. A lot of
- 37:32people out there in Eastern that's an Eastern Knal County vibe. It's Chess peak.
- 37:36You know. Charleston doesn't seem to know it exists sometimes. But yeah,
- 37:38born and raised up there, went to East Bank, then Riverside,
- 37:42and kind of drifted around until somebody finally said it enough times, Hey,
- 37:45you're funny. You should try to stand up. That's what I want to
- 37:49ask you about that what I already probably know the answer to this question.
- 37:53But what kind of kid were you in school? Weird? Okay? I
- 37:59was. I was a weird kid. Nobody can tell me different because nobody
- 38:01knows you any better than you know you, and I knew me. I
- 38:06was actually a lot smaller as a kid, Like if you look at me
- 38:07as an eight year old, you're like, oh, he's gonna be five
- 38:09ft tall, you know. And I would get picked on, and I
- 38:13figured out that if I made him laugh, they wouldn't pick on me.
- 38:15And then as I got older, I got this big. You know,
- 38:17I'm six one, two eighty now I'm I'm too far into being funny to
- 38:22quit. So I'm just a monster physically and on the mic. At what
- 38:27point did you get on stage or at what point did you roll through your
- 38:30mind that you had enough people that said, hey, you should, you
- 38:34should try this one? I had. I had heard it a bunch when
- 38:37I was a kid too, back when there was just HBO that was the
- 38:42only, you know, prime network. I would I would get up read
- 38:46the TV guide and see what was going to be on at like eleven PM
- 38:50or later, and I remember like pulling pulling the chair up right up to
- 38:53the TV and turning it on at the level one volume and watching George carlind
- 38:58or somebody like I legitimately have all always loved stand up comedy. And when
- 39:01I got in my late twenties, I had finally started traveling outside of West
- 39:06Virginia to where I would find actual open mics and things. And I was
- 39:10actually in Myrtle Beach one time with some friends and saw an open mic ad
- 39:15and I was like, I'm gonna go try that and if I fall on
- 39:20my face and fail, I've only got two friends with me that'll ever know
- 39:22what happened, and I can call them both liars. So where what are
- 39:27some of the places that you have been? I have been actually going to
- 39:30count yesterday. I've been in twenty one states so far. I've been all
- 39:35the way out to Vegas. Vegas is the farthest out. I've been to
- 39:37shows at the Stratosphere with a program called the World Series of Comedy. But
- 39:43I do a lot of stuff at Wiley's in Dayton, Ohio, Comedy off
- 39:46Broadway in Lexton, Kentucky. Just started really getting into Virginia, down into
- 39:52Charlotte. I've done mccurty's Theater in Sarasota. That's a great place. If
- 39:57you're ever in Sarasota, Florida, on a Friday or Saturday night, go
- 40:00to mccurty's Comedy Theater. That is probably probably the best comedy club on the
- 40:06East Coast outside of New York City in my opinion. And I'll say,
- 40:12and again we're talking with comedian Andy Frampton. I have heard your stuff,
- 40:15and I'll say it's hilarious. But cultures are different, and what may be
- 40:19funny here may not be as funny if you're playing in Minnesota or somewhere else.
- 40:23Here. Of course, those universal things that you know, families and
- 40:27things like that we can all make fun of no matter where you're from.
- 40:30But have you found that your brand of humor does okay in other places as
- 40:35well? And do you share the culture of West Virginia? Absolutely? I
- 40:38mean do you, Because here's what I'm thinking. A lot of people if
- 40:43when it comes to comedy or even music or whatever, people say, Okay,
- 40:45we have a comedian from West Virginia, they expect you to come in
- 40:49and tell West Virginia jokes. Well, for us, it's not West Virginia
- 40:52jokes. It's just life. Yeah, it's just regular life. That's a
- 40:54huge thing. When I'm somewhere, you know, even in bigger places Lexington,
- 41:00Louisville, even Indianapolis, you know, it's still it's a lot of
- 41:04blue collar stuff. So a lot of the things I talk about, those
- 41:06people can relate to it right off the bat. But if I go somewhere
- 41:08like I was just recently in Boston back in September, I know that right
- 41:13off the bat, I am not going to get them I'm not going to
- 41:15relate to them. My entire time on stage is going to be explaining what
- 41:20it's like where I'm from. My favorite thing I said in Boston was I'll
- 41:23give you thirty seconds on each joke to catch up, because I doubt anybody
- 41:27in Boston speaks ban Joe. That's very true, and they pronounce it Vienna
- 41:31sausage is there exactly and not Yeah, nobody saying in vain He's You're exactly
- 41:36right. You ever get nervous on stage? I feel like, I truly
- 41:40feel like if you're doing something like this, any kind of performance art,
- 41:43actually, if you're not nervous going out there, it's time for you to
- 41:45give it up. Yeah, and that's true of whether you're doing music.
- 41:49I was in the wrestling business for a number of years and they would say,
- 41:52well, you know, to people would say things like that. You
- 41:53know, they would say, once you get in it, if you're not
- 41:55getting nervous, you need to go do something else. Talk about your style
- 42:00of coming up with your material or you're writing. Are you someone that walks
- 42:02around with a notepad or your phone and you're constantly taking notes observations of things
- 42:07you see, do you sit down and say, Okay, it's two o'clock
- 42:12Thursday afternoon, I need to write some stuff for a show Saturday night,
- 42:15which one of those are accommodation of both. I should absolutely do that,
- 42:19because I have lost count of how many things that I've thought about it and
- 42:22been like, I'll write that down when I get home or whatever, and
- 42:24I don't do it, and I lose the joke. Half my act is
- 42:28always telling stories from when I was younger. You know, how I reacted
- 42:31to things, what I went through, And then anything that might be topical
- 42:36or something a more vast audience can relate to is how I'm very prone to
- 42:40overreacting to things in a weird way. You know, I'll find the weirdness
- 42:46I read. I can. If my girlfriend's listening to this, she will
- 42:50laugh so hard. We were coming back we went to Montana last year,
- 42:52and we were coming back on a drive and as we came down through Indianapolis
- 42:57or Indiana should say head In Indianapolis, there was a sign on a highway
- 43:00for two towns. One was Stickney, one was Aberdeen. And I put
- 43:04those together immediately in my brain as Stickney Aberdeen, who was an old snake
- 43:08oil salesman from the wild West, and it was Stickney Aberdeen going from town
- 43:12to town. Friends, do you need a way to get rid of those
- 43:14warts? Stickney Aberdeen's patent pended potion here And for a year and a half,
- 43:19I will just randomly start doing Stickney Aberdeen sales pitches to her in the
- 43:23middle of like you know, wal Mart or whatever, because that's how my
- 43:28brain takes around and entertains itself. And so the jokes that I have that
- 43:34aren't from my past, in my life or whatever, are me just weirdly
- 43:38reacting to things I see in everyday life now. And that's usually the way
- 43:43it works with most of the of the of the greats. It's ten away
- 43:45from ten quick text before we go to break, We'll do ten questions and
- 43:49you got some things you're working on. I want to give you a chance
- 43:51to plug Texas. Is Andy ever considered auditioning for comedy troops like SNL or
- 43:55SCTV ORLG. Wasn't throwing any of the talent shows Me's got tally you're a
- 44:00thought about doing anything like that. I've I've never tried to audition for sm
- 44:05L or sc TV. That'd be great. I would love to. I
- 44:07would actually love to live in a bigger scene. You know, I love
- 44:09West Virginia so much. I do know a couple of people that funnel people
- 44:15into America's got talent and things. And I've thought about it, and I've
- 44:17always been told that I should go for it. But the only thing is
- 44:22stand up comedy on those is the absolute hardest thing to get through with because
- 44:29it's there's gonna be acrobats and singers and all this and everything, and if
- 44:32you go out there and your one minute that you're on stage is not absolute
- 44:37dynamite point that they don't they don't care. And if you can't juggle with
- 44:40Tiger, you know, yeah, you know. But actually, you know,
- 44:44America's got talent, Win Orlanda youju Murphy Junior is going to be on
- 44:45the show Tuesday. Yeah, he'll be He'll be in here Tuesday. So
- 44:51maybe if you get an opportunity to stop my talk to his agents, say
- 44:52hey, hook me up to it's something. Yeah, just seems like you're
- 44:55doing okay on your own though, I'll be honest with you, it's it's
- 44:59ridiculously frustrated. But you know, you sing when you're winning, So all
- 45:01right, we got to take a break with do ten questions. Plus Andy's
- 45:05got some things. Won't give him an opportunity to plug. But Dave Allen

- 48:38clean shaven in probably fifteen years, so I don't one hundred percent know how
- 48:42long it took. It's been longer before. Just like his mama, he

- 48:57most use app on your phone. TikTok. All right, Andy, you
- 49:01have completed ten questions? Was that ten? I wasn't even count Yeah,
- 49:04there you go. Enjoy a moist talent. Oh man? All right?
- 49:07So what do you got going on? Give you an opportunity to promote some
- 49:09stuff? Are you going on? As we promote here, I'm gonna promote
- 49:12the show that I'm on with other people first and then just promote me at
- 49:15the end. We have a comedy show tonight at the Folklore Music Exchange.
- 49:19If people out there don't know where that is, it's on Charrier Street ten
- 49:22twenty Five's the address, eight o'clock start time. It's me and several of
- 49:27the comics've actually got pulled up here, so I don't forget anybody. You
- 49:30got Derek Stacy, Jacob Cobb, Steven Saladona, Matt Saldana, Zack Smith,
- 49:34and Erica Wickham. Hosted by a very good friend of mine in accomplished
- 49:37comedian Josh McDonald. A lot of those cats are out of Huntington and they
- 49:40have an awesome scene down there. You can go to their open mics during
- 49:45the week and see them. We also have the Folklore Blues Trio that is
- 49:49playing after the comedy portion. The show started at eight. It's a free
- 49:52show. Donations are appreciated because you know, some of us can't pay rent
- 49:57with out of boys. But it's gonna be a lot of fun. Everybody's
- 50:00gonna get like a you know, seven minute spot there and then there'll be
- 50:02music afterwards. And Folklore is pretty cool little spot. So I'm pretty hyped
- 50:07for that. Okay, I understand you've been doing a lot of stuff on
- 50:09TikTok. You mentioned TikTok I have I'm I'm apparently the internet likes my nonsense.
- 50:15Okay. So on my personal page you can find me on TikTok at
- 50:19Broncos Swanson, which is my bar fighting name, and I also have a
- 50:24second page called Hot in the Lot and that's on TikTok and Instagram. Both
- 50:29both of those are Broncos Swanson is where my nonsense is. My jokes.
- 50:35Do beer reviews, but I only review bad ones. You know. There's
- 50:39a lot of them out there. Yeah, there's a lot of them out
- 50:42there. And I realized that I was running out of bad beers. So
- 50:45now I have started a series for craft beer where I get craft beers that
- 50:50are supposed to be sipped and savored, and I answer the one question like
- 50:53I say that beer drinkers across the universe want to know, does it shotgun?
- 50:58And so I'm shotgun beers that are anywhere from nine to fourteen percent alcohol
- 51:02and letting you guys know if it's a you know, advisable thing to do.
- 51:06What could go wrong? A lot? So far? What? Okay,
- 51:10we got to wrap it up. What's this about Pepperoni rolls? That
- 51:14is the hot in the lot? Me and my friend Sam Canterbury started to
- 51:15hoten the lit thing. It's a restaurant review. And how we are starting
- 51:19it out is we are going to go all the way across the state everywhere
- 51:22that sells pepperoni and rolls. We are going to try them, check them
- 51:24out, and I'm going to try and rank them. We feel like they
- 51:27might be too hard to actually rank against each other, but so far we've
- 51:30hit a half dozen places just between Kennall County and Boone County, and on
- 51:34TikTok and Instagram both Hot in the Lot you can see that and tell us
- 51:37if you love it or hate it. We love feedback regardless. Let me
- 51:39get a quick plug in the if you have an opportunity to head up to
- 51:43Buchanan, the doughnut spot in Buchanan, we are going to do that.
- 51:45We're going to start in Parkersburg and hit fifty and go all the way across.
- 51:51Then the next day we've planned to got Fairmont and all the way up
