- 0:51Speaker 1: No case. It's too big or too small. So is
- 0:58Speaker 1: being described as edgy a good thing, Chad?
- 1:01Speaker 2: I would think so. Yeah. I would think that's a
- 1:04Speaker 2: pretty good thing.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I mean, if you weren't edgy before. I wouldn't want
- 1:07Speaker 1: to be on edge. But edgy? Is that different?
- 1:12Speaker 2: So having an edge to me is more of a
- 1:16Speaker 2: compliment than you seem edgy. Because edgy almost seems anxious.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yes. Nervous.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I think what Steve Sarkeesian is saying when he says
- 1:28Speaker 2: the following is a compliment. Okay. He said, I think
- 1:31Speaker 2: that somebody texted me today that we lost the aw
- 1:34Speaker 2: shucks kid, you know, and we've created something else.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I don't know if we've lost him.
- 1:39Speaker 2: We created this. We did all of us, y'all included,
- 1:44Speaker 2: meet the whole thing, right? Everybody on ESPN, we've created this.
- 1:49Speaker 2: That is what Steve Sarkeesian said. says quarterback Arch Manning.
- 1:53Speaker 2: That's why he describes him as edgy. Now, when I
- 1:57Speaker 2: hear ESPN, the media, it goes back to the Holly
- 2:00Speaker 2: Rowe thing that he got criticized for because he's been
- 2:02Speaker 2: a very different interview ever since then. He's been very quiet,
- 2:06Speaker 2: very monosyllabic. He doesn't have a lot of personality, not
- 2:09Speaker 2: a lot of smiles when he's talking. So yeah, I
- 2:12Speaker 2: think the media coverage of Arch Manning has made him edgy.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I take that as both edgy in that I've got
- 2:20Speaker 2: a chip on my shoulder and I'm pissed off all
- 2:21Speaker 2: the time.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And edgy as he's got a little bit more of
- 2:25Speaker 1: an edge.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Remember the end of the Ohio State game when he
- 2:27Speaker 2: was caught on camera on the sideline saying, I'm just
- 2:29Speaker 2: about to say, I'll bleep it and just go out
- 2:32Speaker 2: there and play and let it rip. And that's when
- 2:33Speaker 2: the comeback started for Texas. I needed just to say,
- 2:37Speaker 2: screw it and go play. Where's that Arch Manning been? Well,
- 2:42Speaker 2: I thought he was very cautious against Tennessee. In that game.
- 2:46Speaker 2: To the point of getting sacked probably more than he
- 2:48Speaker 2: needed to because he was, like Faison Brandon, not really
- 2:52Speaker 2: seeing things great and willing to rip the ball. They
- 2:56Speaker 2: need that Arch Manning, I think, in this game to win.
- 2:59Speaker 2: They need him edgy. They need him also playing with
- 3:02Speaker 2: an edge if they're going to go beat Ole Miss.
- 3:04Speaker 1: For longer than that quarter, right? And I would say this, too.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Sarkeesian has created this because of the first-team reps for
- 3:13Speaker 1: the backup. That would also put me on edge a
- 3:16Speaker 1: little bit because you haven't seen this, right? Yeah. Sarkeesian's
- 3:21Speaker 1: got to get this right. He's the quarterback whisperer. The
- 3:24Speaker 1: Manning family chose him as the, you know, this is
- 3:27Speaker 1: where they're going. You've got the roster around him. You know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: it's got to be way better than what we've seen.
- 3:34Speaker 1: The development factor. He sat two years. You know, like
- 3:38Speaker 1: where's the– maybe he's just not good, but I refuse
- 3:42Speaker 1: to believe that. I do too.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And we've also seen moments of him being good.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yes, exactly.
- 3:48Speaker 2: He was good at the end of last season. He
- 3:50Speaker 2: was good against Michigan in that bowl game. We've seen
- 3:53Speaker 2: the good Arch Manning at times. And it is absolutely
- 3:56Speaker 2: Steve Sarkeesian's job to find the right buttons to push.
- 4:00Speaker 2: He is a quarterback guy. He's an offensive guy. Find
- 4:02Speaker 2: the right buttons to push with him. But also, it
- 4:05Speaker 2: is his job to not worry about the future. You've
- 4:09Speaker 2: got to worry about the here and now.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 4:11Speaker 2: You can't worry about what if I bench Arch and
- 4:14Speaker 2: What is the legendary Manning dynasty and family going to
- 4:17Speaker 2: think of me if I make this move? And what
- 4:19Speaker 2: does it mean for next year and the other quarterback
- 4:21Speaker 2: I'm recruiting? You can't think about those things now if
- 4:24Speaker 2: you're a head coach in college football.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Why?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Because it's now that matters. Josh Heupel with Faison Brandon
- 4:31Speaker 2: and George McIntyre. I guarantee you Faison Brandon wants to
- 4:33Speaker 2: start now. I don't know why Josh Heupel won't just
- 4:36Speaker 2: say George McIntyre is the starter when everyone knows he's
- 4:39Speaker 2: getting all the first team reps. and he's going to
- 4:41Speaker 2: be the starter. That's a weird move to me that
- 4:43Speaker 2: he continues to act like, I don't know who I'm
- 4:45Speaker 2: going to start yet, when everybody knows he knows exactly
- 4:48Speaker 2: who he's.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Going to start.
- 4:49Speaker 2: But Josh Heupel can't worry about, well, what if Faison
- 4:52Speaker 2: Brandon transfers after one year because he's not playing? What
- 4:55Speaker 2: if I make George McIntyre mad if I go back
- 4:58Speaker 2: to Faison Brandon when he's struggling? In today's college football,
- 5:04Speaker 2: you just go and adjust. If both guys leave, does
- 5:07Speaker 2: the Tennessee want that to happen?
- 5:09Speaker 1: No.
- 5:09Speaker 2: But guess what you do? You've got a lot of
- 5:11Speaker 2: quarterback money now to go spend on somebody else. You're
- 5:14Speaker 2: going to be able to go replace him with some
- 5:15Speaker 2: other high-priced quarterback. You just replace the guy that wants
- 5:18Speaker 2: to leave.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You know what you do? You go play in the
- 5:20Speaker 1: college football playoff is what you do.
- 5:22Speaker 2: That's what you do. And every decision you make should
- 5:24Speaker 2: be to try to do that, to accomplish that goal.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Coming up, Troy Aikman and Joe Buck going at it.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Nearly to blows. Nearly fisticuffs. We know who would win
- 5:36Speaker 1: that battle.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Put up your dukes, said Joe Buck.
- 5:39Speaker 1: We could take this outside like men.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yep.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's straight ahead, Harold Hunt DeWittrow. Chad, good morning to you.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Good morning. Once again, we've got.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Our Crockett coffee here. Cheers to Crockett coffee to you.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I feel like Troy Aikman and Joe Buck could use
- 5:51Speaker 2: a nice little cheers of Crockett coffee to each other
- 5:54Speaker 2: at this point. How about the vitriol here with Aikman
- 5:58Speaker 2: and Buck nearly coming to blows prior to one of
- 6:01Speaker 2: these games because Aikman says that he was stabbed in
- 6:05Speaker 2: the back. saying that for weeks this past summer, when
- 6:09Speaker 2: Joe Buck was extended his contract, there's reporting that Aikman
- 6:14Speaker 2: was left out in the dark. You know, he was
- 6:17Speaker 2: kept in the dark on this from ESPN and from
- 6:19Speaker 2: Joe Buck, and that ESPN even during negotiations came to,
- 6:26Speaker 2: I guess, alluded to the fact that, yeah, you're back.
- 6:29Speaker 2: The $ 100 million contract is what Joe Buck signed for
- 6:31Speaker 2: for Monday Night Football. You're back, but we may not
- 6:33Speaker 2: have Aikman with you the entire time. And he signed it,
- 6:37Speaker 2: didn't tell Aikman about it. So I'm team Aikman here
- 6:41Speaker 2: all the way. First off, Troy Aikman would have beat
- 6:44Speaker 2: the hell out of Joe Buck if this thing came
- 6:46Speaker 2: to blows. The fact that this nearly came to blows,
- 6:49Speaker 2: according to witnesses I'm thinking about, that would not have
- 6:51Speaker 2: ended well for Joe Buck. It was Buck who kind
- 6:53Speaker 2: of went at him, who blew up on him, right?
- 6:55Speaker 2: That's what I believe. Well, I think Buck, like, hey,
- 6:58Speaker 2: are we going to talk about this or not? Kind
- 6:59Speaker 2: of confronted him with attention in the booth. and brought
- 7:03Speaker 2: it up, and then Aikman proceeded to go off. But
- 7:05Speaker 2: if that thing would have gotten physical, that would not
- 7:07Speaker 2: have ended well for Joe Buck.
- 7:08Speaker 1: They're still calling games together right now.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Troy Aikman is a physically intimidating dude. He's in great shape.
- 7:16Speaker 2: He does not seem like someone to be effed with.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Anytime I've seen him talk about anything, in every documentary
- 7:22Speaker 2: I've seen on the Cowboys or anything else, he is
- 7:24Speaker 2: a serious guy that I would not want to offend.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So that would not have gone well for Joe Buck. Also...
- 7:32Speaker 2: they've been together for 30 years, 20, 30 years as
- 7:35Speaker 2: a broadcast team.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Wow.
- 7:38Speaker 2: You don't tell that guy that, Hey, I've been offered
- 7:40Speaker 2: a contract extension. I think I'm going to sign it
- 7:42Speaker 2: at any point. Like, do you actually listen to ESPN bosses?
- 7:45Speaker 2: You're like, Hey, we gotta, we gotta keep this a
- 7:48Speaker 2: secret from Troy. We're going to give you an extension,
- 7:51Speaker 2: but not him. We've been in a similar situation like this,
- 7:54Speaker 2: where we were offered something that our co-host wasn't from
- 7:57Speaker 2: our company. We were up front with our co-host at
- 7:59Speaker 2: the time and said, No, actually, our contract offer was this,
- 8:03Speaker 2: and it was for this long, and then we decided
- 8:06Speaker 2: to make a decision collectively about what to do next
- 8:09Speaker 2: based off that information.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And you're right.
- 8:11Speaker 2: The fact that Joe Buck would hide this is every
- 8:15Speaker 2: account that he didn't tell him that he signed, he
- 8:17Speaker 2: didn't tell him what the offer was, is crazy. Yep.
- 8:20Speaker 1: That means that there was vitriol prior to this blowup,
- 8:25Speaker 1: prior to Buck doing this, signing the contract. with ESPN
- 8:31Speaker 1: without Aikman. Now, it was Aikman who signed prior to
- 8:33Speaker 1: Joe Buck back in 2022 when they took over Monday
- 8:36Speaker 1: Night Football. But Chad, you're right. They've been together 25 years.
- 8:42Speaker 1: That is the new broadcast duo NFL historic record for
- 8:46Speaker 1: a broadcast team surpassing Pat Summerall and John Madden. That
- 8:50Speaker 1: blows my mind that they've been together longer than Pat
- 8:52Speaker 1: Summerall and Joe Madden.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and John Madden.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Oh, John Madden, sorry.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Joe Buck, it's all the Joes and Johns mixed together.
- 9:01Speaker 2: But yeah, no, it's crazy. And again, I am team
- 9:05Speaker 2: Troy Aikman on this. Joe Buck should have told him
- 9:08Speaker 2: what was going on. That's what you do as a
- 9:11Speaker 2: friend and a professional is, hey, I got a contract offer.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I'm going to sign it. I don't mind that he
- 9:18Speaker 2: signed it without me. If he wants to stay and
- 9:20Speaker 2: do Monday Night Football games, DSPN, and they're offering him
- 9:23Speaker 2: more money to do it, and they're not going to
- 9:24Speaker 2: offer Troy Aikman, that's fine. But it's on you to
- 9:27Speaker 2: go to the person you've been with for that long
- 9:30Speaker 2: and say, hey, I think I'm going to do this.
- 9:32Speaker 2: And Troy Aikman has every right to get mad, upset,
- 9:34Speaker 2: whatever he wants to do. But at least then he
- 9:36Speaker 2: told him something. I completely understand why Troy Aikman got
- 9:39Speaker 2: upset and wanted to punch Joe Buck by all reports.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Based off of this. And he probably tried to hide
- 9:45Speaker 2: his anger for a while. And then when Joe Buck
- 9:47Speaker 2: gave him the opportunity to talk about it, that's when
- 9:50Speaker 2: things got heated between the two. But they both are
- 9:53Speaker 2: very professional. And you can't tell anything on the broadcast.
- 9:57Speaker 2: They do the games professionally. I can't sense anything. between
- 10:01Speaker 2: the two when I watch these Monday Night Football games.
- 10:03Speaker 1: And apparently Buck said something like, we're all adults. We've
- 10:06Speaker 1: got our jobs to do. Let's move forward. Let's have
- 10:08Speaker 1: a great year. That was Buck's message, Joe Buck's message. So,
- 10:12Speaker 1: you know, look, the other thing here, too, is I
- 10:15Speaker 1: think without a year, ESPN's got the Super Bowl. What
- 10:20Speaker 1: would this dynamic be like without that final game? Aikman's contract,
- 10:25Speaker 1: that's his final game paired with Joe Buck. Without the
- 10:30Speaker 1: Super Bowl, I wonder how Aikman handles this right now.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Just given the fact that they're in the booth together
- 10:37Speaker 1: and it's awkward. You can tell the expression on their
- 10:40Speaker 1: face when they go to the open that they're clearly
- 10:42Speaker 1: not happy. But you're right. I think Aikman's my favorite analyst.
- 10:46Speaker 1: He goes after officials. He discusses NFL rules that he
- 10:50Speaker 1: doesn't like, and he's willing to be open and honest
- 10:52Speaker 1: about it. And he'll call out players, which is also
- 10:55Speaker 1: difficult for some of these people to do.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, he's really good. Look, I think that he would
- 11:00Speaker 2: handle it the same way, even if they didn't have
- 11:02Speaker 2: the Super Bowl, and he would finish out the season.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And here's why. I believe he wants to continue doing this.
- 11:08Speaker 2: And now with the news that J.J. Watt has signed
- 11:10Speaker 2: a multi-year agreement to officially replace Tony Romo at CBS–
- 11:16Speaker 2: Greg Olson and Troy Eggman, their contracts expire. They are
- 11:20Speaker 2: going to be the two biggest color analyst free agents
- 11:23Speaker 2: in NFL media. So they want to go somewhere else.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I don't know where that landing spot is going to be,
- 11:29Speaker 2: but whether it be in a studio or doing games,
- 11:32Speaker 2: and I think both these guys are really good at
- 11:33Speaker 2: doing games and that's what they should keep doing. They're
- 11:37Speaker 2: going to have some opportunities. So if you want to
- 11:39Speaker 2: be in that mix to be a high level free
- 11:42Speaker 2: agent to go call games, then I think you, Be
- 11:45Speaker 2: a professional the way he has. You finish out the season.
- 11:48Speaker 2: You do a great Super Bowl broadcast. And you go
- 11:51Speaker 2: find your next landing spot.
- 11:53Speaker 1: It's interesting, the dynamic of the business behind the scenes.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So CBS doesn't wait on Aikman to pair with Jim Nance.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Nance wants J.J.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Watt.
- 12:03Speaker 1: And Nance went on a podcast and discussed his preparation
- 12:06Speaker 1: behind the scenes. That's a clear shot at Tony Romo
- 12:09Speaker 1: when he's saying that. Speaking of J.J. Watt, if you
- 12:13Speaker 1: start to look around at the openings... We had Olsen
- 12:16Speaker 1: on to discuss the fact that Tom Brady took his spot, right?
- 12:23Speaker 1: And so that spot's taken. They're not going to put
- 12:27Speaker 1: Aikman in Brady's spot. I did read where they have
- 12:30Speaker 1: an out in the contract with Kirk Herbstreit on Thursday
- 12:33Speaker 1: Night Football. And with Amazon and the money that they
- 12:36Speaker 1: have and it being Al Michaels, I could totally see
- 12:39Speaker 1: them pairing Aikman up and throwing the bank at his.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Has to say, hey, do you want to pair up
- 12:46Speaker 1: with Aikman and see what Al Michaels says about it?
- 12:50Speaker 2: I think him or Greg Olson would be great in
- 12:52Speaker 2: that spot for Amazon on Thursday night.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I wonder if Olson replaces Aikman, though. Oh, Olson.
- 12:59Speaker 2: You're saying Olson going to ESPN.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I think so. That's what I'm thinking. The top broadcaster.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Could be.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Could be. Could be someone else out there that we
- 13:06Speaker 2: don't even know about yet. I think of the Romo
- 13:09Speaker 2: sensation where he was such a star early on. And
- 13:12Speaker 2: it's like, okay, now we've got to go find the
- 13:13Speaker 2: next Tony Romo. And, of course, we know how that
- 13:15Speaker 2: all ended. But I think Mike Tomlin's kind of that
- 13:18Speaker 2: guy in NFL media this year.
- 13:19Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 13:20Speaker 2: On Sunday Night Football. He's very good. He's as good
- 13:22Speaker 2: as everybody expected, maybe even better. And he's not afraid
- 13:24Speaker 2: to take shots at players and coaches also. Does he
- 13:28Speaker 2: want to eventually do games? Or does he like the
- 13:30Speaker 2: role that he has right now with NBC? That's someone
- 13:33Speaker 2: else that I would watch.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Sean McVay has also been floated out there a couple
- 13:37Speaker 1: years ago. with his interest in what, $ 20 million was
- 13:41Speaker 1: the report that the media was offering him. I wouldn't
- 13:44Speaker 1: be surprised if that happens again, especially if they kick
- 13:47Speaker 1: it into gear and they end up on this run
- 13:49Speaker 1: in the playoffs. And hey, I wouldn't be surprised if
- 13:53Speaker 1: Pat McAfee is where they turn, because they turn to
- 13:55Speaker 1: him for literally everything. He's already there at Monday night.
- 14:00Speaker 1: That's also an interesting one, because again, ESPN is all
- 14:05Speaker 1: in with McAfee, and he does literally everything that they
- 14:07Speaker 1: have on their programming.
- 14:08Speaker 2: McAfee's awesome, very talented, extremely hard worker. You can be
- 14:12Speaker 2: overexposed at one network, and that would put him past
- 14:16Speaker 2: the limit of overexposure if he was suddenly the guy
- 14:20Speaker 2: to replace Troy Aikman on Monday Night Football. I'd say
- 14:23Speaker 2: the same about Kirk Herbstreit. When I tune in on
- 14:26Speaker 2: Thursday night to Prime Video and I hear Kirk Herbstreit's voice,
- 14:29Speaker 2: it's never felt right to me.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I agree.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Kirk Herbstreit's a college football voice. Kirk Herbstreit's a great
- 14:34Speaker 2: voice on College Game Day and the Game of the
- 14:36Speaker 2: Week on ABC. That's who he is. It's just been
- 14:40Speaker 2: a forced match with Herbstreet and Al Michaels. Not that
- 14:44Speaker 2: Herbstreet is bad or does a bad job on the games.
- 14:47Speaker 2: He's good. But it's just it doesn't feel right when
- 14:50Speaker 2: I hear him calling NFL games on Thursday nights.
- 14:54Speaker 1: So I read Andrew Marchand had Pat McAfee's first Monday
- 14:57Speaker 1: Night Football alternate cast. His alternate broadcast had 351,000 viewers,
- 15:02Speaker 1: according to a source. That's around half of what the
- 15:04Speaker 1: Mannings have and have received. and that compared to other programming.
- 15:11Speaker 1: He was outdrawn by NextGenStats telecast on NFL Network in
- 15:15Speaker 1: week six based on those numbers. I had no idea
- 15:18Speaker 1: he was even doing this.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I'm surprised he got half of what the Mannings got, honestly.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I thought it would be about the same with him
- 15:24Speaker 2: debuting that and doing it for the first time. I
- 15:26Speaker 2: watched it, Hutton. He's an awesome broadcaster. First and foremost,
- 15:31Speaker 2: I don't care how many people watch the thing, he
- 15:34Speaker 2: was calling play-by-play from the end zone. as well as
- 15:37Speaker 2: a play-by-play guy would call it. He knew every player
- 15:39Speaker 2: without looking at everything. He was calling it straight up
- 15:43Speaker 2: with his own style and flair, play-by-play, and then going
- 15:46Speaker 2: to other people for what was happening the whole time.
- 15:49Speaker 2: The five minutes I saw of it, I was very
- 15:51Speaker 2: impressed with him on it. I don't know what the
- 15:54Speaker 2: longevity of that segment or that alternate broadcast would be.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I like what the Mannings do. I know that it's
- 16:00Speaker 2: got sort of a law of diminishing returns with the
- 16:03Speaker 2: amount of people who watch it, but I still think
- 16:05Speaker 2: it's very entertaining. with their alternate cast. I look at
- 16:09Speaker 2: what ESPN and Disney's doing with the Super Bowl, and
- 16:12Speaker 2: I'm thinking, man, if you want to bastardize a Super
- 16:15Speaker 2: Bowl broadcast, look no further than Disney Corporation and what
- 16:18Speaker 2: they've done with it. They've got like five different Star
- 16:20Speaker 2: Wars themed broadcasts with it. It's crazy the amount of
- 16:24Speaker 2: different things they're doing with the game. I understand the
- 16:27Speaker 2: thought behind it, but man, oh man, you've got an
- 16:29Speaker 2: alternate broadcast for absolutely everything on Disney and ABC.
- 16:33Speaker 1: It's remarkable. ESPN had 6.6 million ABC 10.3. That's also
- 16:40Speaker 1: part of the audience. You stick on it. But ESPN
- 16:43Speaker 1: 2 is where McAfee was. You found it. I didn't
- 16:45Speaker 1: even look there. I'm not even looking for it. Well,
- 16:49Speaker 1: I went there because I wanted to see the Manning cast.
- 16:51Speaker 1: And then I saw there was actually Pat McAfee's alternate
- 16:53Speaker 1: cast that night. That's how I mistakenly saw it and
- 16:56Speaker 1: ended up watching some of his broadcast. ESPN has the
- 17:00Speaker 1: Super Bowl again in two years. They will have that
- 17:03Speaker 1: on an app. is my prediction. And it's because the
- 17:06Speaker 1: NFL is also a part owner with them. They're partners
- 17:10Speaker 1: on it. I don't think this... The whole Disney thing
- 17:13Speaker 1: is about conditioning you. Just like they did the Nickelodeon
- 17:16Speaker 1: stuff on CBS. You know, that Nickelodeon game or whatever
- 17:20Speaker 1: it's called.
- 17:21Speaker 2: McAfee, by the way, I was watching the moment where
- 17:24Speaker 2: Jaden Daniels threw the ball away on fourth down.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:27Speaker 2: And his reaction doing the play-by-play, but also someone... It's like, well,
- 17:33Speaker 2: Jaden Daniels decided to just throw it out of bounds
- 17:35Speaker 2: on fourth down. Does he know it's fourth down? What
- 17:37Speaker 2: exactly is happening here? And that's when they caught Dan
- 17:39Speaker 2: Quinn not knowing clearly, and he was asked about it
- 17:43Speaker 2: and lied and said, oh, of course I knew it
- 17:44Speaker 2: was fourth down. He did not know that it was
- 17:47Speaker 2: fourth down. Neither did Jaden Daniels the way he played
- 17:49Speaker 2: that one. But it was funny listening to McAfee doing
- 17:52Speaker 2: play-by-play during that moment.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Such a great point, too, about the oversaturation. I don't
- 17:58Speaker 1: even think about tuning in to McAfee because I see
- 18:00Speaker 1: him everywhere. You know, like, so I see him on
- 18:04Speaker 1: college game day. I see him everywhere. So I'm not
- 18:07Speaker 1: going to watch another show with him.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Dude is omnipresent. He is the voice in all of
- 18:11Speaker 2: our heads at this point. I mean, you cannot escape him.
- 18:15Speaker 2: He's everywhere all at once.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yep. Hey, also all at once, you can get the
- 18:20Speaker 1: top 10 college football games of the weekend. Withrow's got
- 18:23Speaker 1: that for you next. Harold Hunt and Withrow presented by
- 18:25Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. This is Coach's chair. What?
- 18:30Speaker 1: We protect Coach's chair the way Hard Rock Bet protects
- 18:33Speaker 1: Coach's account.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Hard Rock Bet keeps Coach's info safe.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet keeps Coach's money safe. And we keep
- 18:39Speaker 1: Coach safe. Hey, fellas. Coach. Coach.
- 18:45Speaker 2: How about that protection?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Can I grab a wing? Coach's wings. I guess I'll
- 18:49Speaker 1: sit on the ground. That's where Coach puts his feet.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Safe and secure betting from the very first tap.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Great to meet you, Coach. It was Coach's pleasure. Hard
- 18:58Speaker 1: Rock Bet. The official place to get your Nashville Balls

- 19:39Speaker 1: Chad, last week's schedule for college football was the Camelot
- 19:43Speaker 1: of schedules, right? Where would you rank this week's schedule
- 19:47Speaker 1: compared to last week's schedule if last week was number one?
- 19:50Speaker 2: Last week's schedule was the second most watched college football
- 19:54Speaker 2: Saturday on record. I'm saying of all time.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Of all time.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Of all time with the games last week. If that
- 20:02Speaker 2: was Camelot, this is the Flintstones of college football weekends.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I'm not going to sugarcoat. I'm not going to, you know,
- 20:11Speaker 2: try to make a chicken salad out of chicken you-know-what here.
- 20:15Speaker 1: It's a rough week.
- 20:16Speaker 2: It's a rough week, 1 through 10, for college football.
- 20:19Speaker 2: But we're going to get to it right now, Hutton,
- 20:21Speaker 2: starting with game number 10 for this weekend in college football.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Texas Tech, eighth-ranked Red Raiders, 10.5-point favorites on the road
- 20:29Speaker 2: at Cincinnati. This is a 12 p.m. Eastern, 11 a.m.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Central kickoff on FS1.
- 20:36Speaker 1: J.C.
- 20:36Speaker 2: French IV, quarterback of Cincinnati, 1,338 yards passing, over 70%
- 20:42Speaker 2: completion percentage, zero interceptions. One of the least talked about
- 20:46Speaker 2: great quarterback stories in college football this year has been J.C.
- 20:50Speaker 2: French IV. Texas Tech, they really don't do anything great
- 20:54Speaker 2: on offense. 53rd in pass efficiency, 86th in rush efficiency, Hutton,
- 21:00Speaker 2: but yet here are the Red Raiders ranked eighth in.
- 21:02Speaker 1: The country going on the road. And they have plenty
- 21:04Speaker 1: of talent. I mean, their quarterback Hammond. Do not be
- 21:07Speaker 1: fooled by this spread, though. Right now it's a 10.5
- 21:11Speaker 1: at Hard Rock Bet. Cincinnati is 4-0 straight up at
- 21:14Speaker 1: Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats are third nationally in offensive explosiveness.
- 21:18Speaker 1: They have one of the most efficient run games, Chad,
- 21:20Speaker 1: in the country with Tab in the backfield. Scott Satterfield,
- 21:23Speaker 1: one of the most aggressive coaches on fourth down attempts.
- 21:25Speaker 1: This could be one of the upsets because Cincinnati's playing
- 21:29Speaker 1: at home and they play so well there.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Nippert Stadium, by the way, I believe either the oldest
- 21:32Speaker 2: or one of the oldest continuous college football stadiums in America.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Don't quote me on that. That's just lying around in
- 21:40Speaker 2: the recesses of my brain somewhere. But I have been
- 21:43Speaker 2: to the University of Cincinnati when I was a younger man.
- 21:45Speaker 2: I remember getting the lay of the land, and that
- 21:48Speaker 2: is one of the older stadiums in college football. Game
- 21:52Speaker 2: number nine. The Aggies of Texas A & M on
- 21:55Speaker 2: the road in Tuscaloosa to take on the 13th-ranked Alabama
- 21:58Speaker 2: Crimson Tide. Alabama, a 14-point favorite, 3.30 Eastern time, 2.30
- 22:03Speaker 2: Central on ABC. Bama's big play offense took a big
- 22:07Speaker 2: hit against the Vols a week ago. They're going up
- 22:10Speaker 2: against the Texas A & M Aggies team that has
- 22:12Speaker 2: struggled to stop the big play or get one for
- 22:15Speaker 2: themselves offensively. Can Keelan Russell and Alabama Hutton get back
- 22:20Speaker 2: some of that mojo that they lost in Knoxville last week?
- 22:24Speaker 2: I think this is a great bounce-back opportunity for Alabama
- 22:26Speaker 2: at home.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yes, and I love the under, over-under at 50.5 at
- 22:31Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet. Russell has been held to under 200
- 22:33Speaker 1: passing yards in back-to-back weeks now. Is this a trend?
- 22:36Speaker 1: A & M hasn't scored a touchdown on the road
- 22:38Speaker 1: in SEC play, and they've scored just 13 points combined there.
- 22:42Speaker 1: This is a low-possession grinder. I'm taking the under.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Meat grinder of a game.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I'm with you.
- 22:47Speaker 2: I don't think that Alabama is going to put up
- 22:49Speaker 2: a ton of points on this.
- 22:50Speaker 1: A & M defense. But there's still a separation of score, yeah.
- 22:52Speaker 2: But I think they're going to be very alive and
- 22:54Speaker 2: well for a possible college football playoff bid after Saturday.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Come Sunday morning, I think they're going to still be
- 23:00Speaker 2: sitting there with two losses after they beat Texas A & M.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Game number eight. Number two, BYU Cougars, talk of the nation.
- 23:06Speaker 2: After that big win at home over Notre Dame last week,
- 23:09Speaker 2: they got to go on the road across the country.
- 23:11Speaker 2: So you talk about relief syndrome that Lane Kiffin spoke
- 23:14Speaker 2: about earlier this week. BYU only a 6.5-point favorite at UCF,
- 23:20Speaker 2: who's not exactly lit the world on fire this year.
- 23:23Speaker 2: This is a 3.30 Eastern time kickoff on ESPN. UCF
- 23:27Speaker 2: coming off a bye week. Also, they've had time to
- 23:29Speaker 2: get rested and get healthy. The problem is their starting
- 23:33Speaker 2: quarterback has been injured. Keon Jenkins, the backup, is set
- 23:37Speaker 2: to start for the fifth straight game for UCF. BYU
- 23:40Speaker 2: hunting 6-0 for the third straight season. That is a
- 23:44Speaker 2: program record under Kalani Sataki.
- 23:46Speaker 1: A quarterback wearing, what, 47? Is that right? Bear Bachmeier,
- 23:49Speaker 1: number 47, yep. Hey, six and a half, I did
- 23:53Speaker 1: a double take at that. You'll see, though, where UCF
- 23:57Speaker 1: is 3-0 at home, 3-1 against the spread as an underdog.
- 24:01Speaker 1: So I don't think BYU has a cross-country letdown, but
- 24:05Speaker 1: I think they wear the Knights down in the fourth quarter,
- 24:07Speaker 1: and I think they cover the six and a half.
- 24:09Speaker 2: The bounce house, I think is what they call that.
- 24:11Speaker 2: The bounce house, yeah. Whatever that thing is at UCF.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Much like you don't go into Kroger Field and push
- 24:18Speaker 2: them around. You don't go into the bounce house and
- 24:20Speaker 2: push around the UCF Knights. Game number six this week, Hutton. Tennessee,
- 24:26Speaker 2: number 11 at South Carolina. The Gamecocks, now a two-and-a-half
- 24:30Speaker 2: point favorite, 3.30 Eastern time on ESPN. We've talked a
- 24:34Speaker 2: lot about Tennessee this week. We haven't talked a lot
- 24:35Speaker 2: about South Carolina. coming off a bye. The week before that,
- 24:38Speaker 2: they go to the Swamp and they dominate. It looks
- 24:41Speaker 2: like Shane Beamer has rallied the troops. Lenora Sellers is
- 24:44Speaker 2: going to be a load for everybody, including this great
- 24:47Speaker 2: Tennessee defense. For Tennessee, it's coming off that emotional high.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Cigar smoke in the air in Knoxville at Neyland Stadium.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Can Jim Knowles dial up another game plan and execution
- 24:58Speaker 2: to the level of what they just did to Alabama?
- 25:01Speaker 2: They can do it. They've shown they're capable. They can
- 25:03Speaker 2: shut a team down and wreak havoc all day. Can
- 25:06Speaker 2: they do that on the road at Williams-Brice Stadium? It's
- 25:10Speaker 2: a tough place to play. It's been a tough place
- 25:12Speaker 2: for Tennessee to play. This is the classic trap for
- 25:16Speaker 2: Tennessee to go in and lose. That's what Vegas is
- 25:19Speaker 2: predicting to happen, Hutton. What say you about Tennessee and
- 25:22Speaker 2: South Carolina on Saturday afternoon?
- 25:24Speaker 1: I don't know how it can be a trap when
- 25:26Speaker 1: South Carolina is favored. That would be bulletin board material
- 25:28Speaker 1: for me. And it is for Tennessee. Yeah, at Tennessee,
- 25:31Speaker 1: 6-1 to the under. The under is 50 and a half,
- 25:35Speaker 1: by the way. The Vols forced four turnovers last week.
- 25:38Speaker 1: And you've got USC, who is 109th in turnover margin.
- 25:42Speaker 1: They have played the 14th toughest schedule. They're the home favorite.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And the turnover issues for the Gamecocks, Chad, I think
- 25:48Speaker 1: is the difference here. The Vols have an opportunity to defense.
- 25:51Speaker 1: And you pair that with the atrocious pass defense that
- 25:54Speaker 1: South Carolina has. I think McIntyre goes play action. And
- 25:56Speaker 1: I think it works well. I'll take Tennessee plus two
- 25:59Speaker 1: and a half.
- 26:00Speaker 2: And Tennessee's shown, too, George McIntyre doesn't have to be
- 26:03Speaker 2: a hero for them to win. He just made some throws,
- 26:07Speaker 2: hit a couple slants, hit a couple rollouts, did a
- 26:11Speaker 2: good job one time of making something happen where it
- 26:12Speaker 2: looked like he was going to throw it away and
- 26:14Speaker 2: threw it back across his body. Just make some plays.
- 26:18Speaker 2: They're not going to put the whole game on you.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Be a good game clock manager, control time of possession,
- 26:24Speaker 2: and Tennessee's going to have a great chance to get
- 26:26Speaker 2: out of South Carolina with a win.
- 26:27Speaker 1: We've discussed this prior, but again, I think Beamer remains
- 26:30Speaker 1: head coach with a win here, and he's already got
- 26:32Speaker 1: the win over Florida. I don't think they want to
- 26:34Speaker 1: fire him and pay the buyout anyway. I'm sure a
- 26:37Speaker 1: lot of people do at home. When they play at home,
- 26:39Speaker 1: they have the 13-point leads and then give them up,
- 26:41Speaker 1: or 17-point leads. But you beat Tennessee after already beating Florida.
- 26:46Speaker 1: That's working with house money for Beamer.
- 26:49Speaker 2: There may be some South Carolina fans rooting against them
- 26:51Speaker 2: because they really want the guy fired. Everybody in South
- 26:54Speaker 2: Carolina wants, like, heck, for him to win. Saturday because,
- 26:58Speaker 2: like you said, they avoid the buyout.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I'm with you.
- 27:00Speaker 2: They win this game. We're not even talking about it anymore.
- 27:02Speaker 2: He is going to be the head coach at South
- 27:04Speaker 2: Carolina moving forward. Game number five. Virginia Tech at Clemson
- 27:09Speaker 2: in the ACC. The Clemson Tigers a two and a
- 27:11Speaker 2: half point favorite at home. Seven o'clock Eastern kickoff on ESPN.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Clemson blown out against Miami. We haven't really seen them
- 27:18Speaker 2: in three weeks because they followed that blowout loss with
- 27:21Speaker 2: an open week and then they beat Charleston Southern a
- 27:24Speaker 2: week ago. So Virginia Tech They've lost a couple in
- 27:27Speaker 2: a row here recently. Can they get back on track?
- 27:30Speaker 2: And a big chance for Clemson to continue to not
- 27:34Speaker 2: completely fall apart by getting a home win here against
- 27:37Speaker 2: James Franklin.
- 27:37Speaker 1: In year one. Man, Clemson's passing game is at rock bottom.
- 27:42Speaker 1: They got one touchdown every 95 pass attempts is what
- 27:46Speaker 1: I read. I mean, that's abysmal. And the Hokies' run
- 27:49Speaker 1: defense is number one in tackle for loss rates. So
- 27:52Speaker 1: if you think about the fact that they're going to
- 27:53Speaker 1: shut down the run and then Clemson can't pass for touchdowns.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I mean, I think Virginia Tech, the run stuffing front,
- 28:01Speaker 1: they're going to cover this as a favorite. It's a
- 28:04Speaker 1: elimination game too, right? You get boxed out of the
- 28:06Speaker 1: ACC championship game here. Yeah, yeah, it is.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yeah, winner stays alive, losers out of it.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Game number four, as we go through the top five.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Number 18, LSU, seven and a half point road favorite
- 28:18Speaker 2: at Auburn, 12 noon, 11 a.m. Central time on ABC. Hutton,
- 28:23Speaker 2: both teams can and will play fast in this game.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Here's the big difference, though. Auburn is 133rd nationally in
- 28:29Speaker 2: time of possession, so them playing fast costs their defense.
- 28:33Speaker 2: LSU can mix up tempos and still control time of possession.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I said it earlier this week in our Going for
- 28:39Speaker 2: the Bundle parlay. I really like LSU to win going
- 28:42Speaker 2: away in this one on the road. I'm conflicted on
- 28:44Speaker 2: this because while I think LSU should do that, they
- 28:48Speaker 2: should double the spread. This is a live home dog
- 28:51Speaker 2: coming off the win against Georgia at 11 a.m. Central
- 28:54Speaker 2: that could make it a dogfight. You know, can they
- 28:56Speaker 2: actually parlay these consecutive upsets? I don't think so.
- 29:00Speaker 1: But I don't trust LSU here on the road after
- 29:03Speaker 1: what I saw in Kentucky. I know it was a
- 29:05Speaker 1: close game. I wouldn't have went for two. But, you know,
- 29:08Speaker 1: you got Kiffin complaining about the schedule. Maybe, you know,
- 29:11Speaker 1: he's firing them up for this. It's 11 a.m. kickoff.
- 29:13Speaker 1: This is not at night down in the bayou. I'm
- 29:17Speaker 1: conflicted on it. I'm staying away from it.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it has a chance to be a
- 29:22Speaker 2: really good game. I see LSU pulling away. Auburn coming
- 29:25Speaker 2: out with that big win. If I were betting it,
- 29:27Speaker 2: I would take LSU minus a seven. I like what
- 29:29Speaker 2: Lane Kiffin had to say for LSU's chances. We were
- 29:32Speaker 2: really rooting for Auburn to win that game because we
- 29:34Speaker 2: thought they'd let down the next week if they won it,
- 29:36Speaker 2: and then they won it. I feel like that's kind
- 29:38Speaker 2: of Lane Kiffin calling a shot. Game number three. Number six,
- 29:41Speaker 2: Indiana at Michigan. Big noon kickoff on Fox. Michigan can't score.
- 29:46Speaker 2: It's pretty simple. They have scored more than 19 points
- 29:50Speaker 2: twice all year against UTEP, and they scored 21 in
- 29:55Speaker 2: the win last week against Penn State. That's only after
- 29:59Speaker 2: pulling Bryce Underwood as starting quarterback and going with young
- 30:03Speaker 2: Tommy Carr as their quarterback. On paper, Indiana should blow
- 30:08Speaker 2: them out in this game. They're much better. They should
- 30:11Speaker 2: suffocate them defensively. They're going to get enough done. Marsh
- 30:14Speaker 2: at wide receiver. If he doesn't step out of bounds,
- 30:17Speaker 2: what are we talking about Indiana right now? They're far
- 30:19Speaker 2: and away the number one team in the country. With
- 30:21Speaker 2: a win over Ohio State, I think Indiana's about to
- 30:24Speaker 2: go on the road and beat Michigan. But playing in
- 30:26Speaker 2: the big house, Michigan does play better there. Gives them
- 30:29Speaker 2: some sort of chance.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Hey, man, I mean, the line's 7 1⁄2, but the
- 30:34Speaker 1: over-under is key here at Hard Rock Bet. Michigan's pass
- 30:37Speaker 1: defense is 8th in the country. Indiana's coming into this
- 30:39Speaker 1: game after a bruising matchup against Ohio State. The over-under's
- 30:42Speaker 1: 41 1⁄2. They're favored by 7 1⁄2. So to me,
- 30:45Speaker 1: IU's winning... but it's a game with the total at 41.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Give me the points here because I'm thinking with 41,
- 30:55Speaker 1: it's a low-scoring game, and they're saying Indiana's going to
- 30:58Speaker 1: score the majority of them. You're right. Michigan can't score.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I'll take the Hoosiers.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Game number two. Let's go to the Big 12. Number 14,
- 31:04Speaker 2: Houston at number 10, Utah in Salt Lake City. First
- 31:08Speaker 2: time in AP poll history, two teams from the state
- 31:11Speaker 2: of Utah ranked in the top 10. BYU at number 10. Utah,
- 31:16Speaker 2: I'm sorry, BYU number two, Utah at number 10. Never
- 31:18Speaker 2: happened before.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Wow.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Great time to be a college football fan in the
- 31:22Speaker 2: state of Utah. This game, a Hutton special. 9-15 Eastern
- 31:25Speaker 2: time kickoff on ESPN. Houston offense leads the nation in
- 31:30Speaker 2: success rate. Connor Wigman has been terrific. Utah's defense, sixth
- 31:35Speaker 2: in defensive efficiency nationally, Hutton. A battle of a great
- 31:40Speaker 2: offense going up against a great defense.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Biggest game of the Big 12 of the season, right,
- 31:45Speaker 1: to date. You've got Utah and a win that keeps
- 31:48Speaker 1: the Utes unbeaten. It's all headed towards Utah-BYU, but yes,
- 31:51Speaker 1: for right now, yep. And then you've got a fourth
- 31:53Speaker 1: straight Big 12 win for 6-1 Houston if that happens here.
- 31:58Speaker 1: That would vault them past Utah in that conference driver's seat.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Utah's going to score plenty on the ground. Houston is
- 32:04Speaker 1: number one, as you mentioned, in their success rate. Shootout's here, right?
- 32:09Speaker 1: Shootout is here, and I'm taking the cover. Game number one.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Let's go to the SEC. Number seven, Ole Miss at
- 32:17Speaker 2: number 19, Texas. The Longhorns, a three-and-a-half-point favorite. 7.30 Eastern time,
- 32:21Speaker 2: 6.30 Central kick on ABC. Texas has got what looks
- 32:25Speaker 2: like the punk son of some booster kid getting kicked
- 32:27Speaker 2: out of Darryl K. Royal Stadium forever because he's on
- 32:30Speaker 2: the field with a sideline pass flipping off Florida players
- 32:34Speaker 2: with a bandana around his neck. What the hell is
- 32:36Speaker 2: going on with Texas? Arch Manning, I think, said the
- 32:40Speaker 2: right things, handled everything well. about how he's got to
- 32:43Speaker 2: stop caring so much. He's got to go out there
- 32:45Speaker 2: and let it rip. He hasn't played well, hasn't been
- 32:47Speaker 2: good enough. Arch Manning will be the starter in this game.
- 32:50Speaker 2: How quick will the hook be for Steve Sarkeesian if
- 32:53Speaker 2: he starts rough offensively and Ole Miss takes an early lead?
- 32:57Speaker 2: We saw what Ole Miss is capable of with Trinidad
- 32:59Speaker 2: Chambliss in that game against LSU. They have blown out
- 33:02Speaker 2: their last two opponents at Vandy, Missouri at home. Now
- 33:06Speaker 2: they go on the road with a chance to possibly
- 33:09Speaker 2: end Texas's playoff chances. I think there's going to be
- 33:12Speaker 2: a three-loss SEC team in the playoffs, so it certainly
- 33:16Speaker 2: doesn't mathematically eliminate them, but it makes it really tough
- 33:19Speaker 2: if the Longhorns drop three in a row by losing
- 33:22Speaker 2: at home to Ole Miss.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Chad, this is a glaring styles clash here. Ole Miss,
- 33:26Speaker 1: they struggle on defense, and Texas has problems on offense,
- 33:29Speaker 1: but look, I'm going to take Chambliss and Lacey, and
- 33:32Speaker 1: I think the Rebels are locked in, and if they
- 33:35Speaker 1: come in and start scoring fast, they're going to put
- 33:37Speaker 1: the backup in, yes, And if the Rebels end up
- 33:40Speaker 1: winning the SEC title game, they'll be the favorite to
- 33:45Speaker 1: be locked in for that, right? With a straight up
- 33:46Speaker 1: win here.
- 33:48Speaker 2: No doubt about it.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I'm glad this is number one. I think wrong team favorite.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Do you agree?
- 33:54Speaker 2: I think Ole Miss is a better team. Absolutely. I
- 33:57Speaker 2: think it's going to say a lot about Sark and
- 34:00Speaker 2: Arch in this game because this is a back against
- 34:02Speaker 2: the wall game at home. They're going to get a
- 34:05Speaker 2: really good environment at night in a primetime kickoff. So
- 34:10Speaker 2: I have a hard time picking Ole Miss, but in
- 34:12Speaker 2: terms of wrong team favorite, yes, Ole Miss is the
- 34:14Speaker 2: better football team. And if they play really well, they're
- 34:16Speaker 2: going to win.
- 34:17Speaker 1: And to me, the three-loss SEC team, it would be
- 34:20Speaker 1: a team like Tennessee, hypothetically, who lost by three to
- 34:23Speaker 1: Texas at the time.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Number one, right?
- 34:26Speaker 2: And we'll see who those teams beat and who they don't.
- 34:29Speaker 2: You know, all that has to remain to be seen
- 34:32Speaker 2: about their big quality wins, too. Yes. I do think
- 34:35Speaker 2: somebody this year is going to get in with three
- 34:37Speaker 2: losses in the SEC. Don't know who that is yet.
- 34:39Speaker 2: but it's going to be at least one team.
- 34:41Speaker 1: And Texas is ranked where right now?
- 34:43Speaker 2: Texas is 19th.
- 34:45Speaker 1: 19th. I think with a loss here, they're going to
- 34:47Speaker 1: go so far down, they won't be able to make
- 34:49Speaker 1: it back up that high.
- 34:50Speaker 2: They'll drop out of the top 25.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:52Speaker 2: With three losses.
- 34:53Speaker 1: It's a tough line to back up.
- 34:54Speaker 2: With three losses before November, they'll drop out of the
- 34:57Speaker 2: top 25. All right, 10 through 1.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 35:00Speaker 2: College football. This week's games of the week. Number 10,
- 35:05Speaker 2: number 8, Texas Tech at Cincinnati. Number nine, Texas A &
- 35:08Speaker 2: M at number 13, Alabama. Number eight, back in the
- 35:11Speaker 2: Big 12, BYU at UCF. BYU only a six and
- 35:14Speaker 2: a half point favorite. Game number seven, you've got USC
- 35:18Speaker 2: and Wisconsin, which I believe I skipped that game earlier.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Apologies to USC and Wisconsin. It went right to Tennessee
- 35:24Speaker 2: and South Carolina. We'll talk about that more. Game number six,
- 35:29Speaker 2: Tennessee at South Carolina. The 11th ranked Vols. Number five,
- 35:31Speaker 2: Virginia Tech at Clemson. Number four, Number 18, LSU at Auburn.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Game number three, Indiana at Michigan. Number two, number 14,
- 35:40Speaker 2: Houston at number 10, Utah. And game number one, number seven,
- 35:44Speaker 2: Ole Miss at number 19, Texas. Three and a half
- 35:46Speaker 2: point favorites. You know, I skipped right past USC and Wisconsin.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Easy to skip past Wisconsin. Easy to skip past USC
- 35:53Speaker 2: right now.
- 35:53Speaker 1: They've only got one loss. I know.
- 35:55Speaker 2: I mean, they're sitting here. They got the home loss
- 35:57Speaker 2: to Oregon, and they were kind of forgotten about then,
- 35:59Speaker 2: but I tell you what, that offense, Jordan Maiava is
- 36:03Speaker 2: averaging over 310 yards passing per game. They are lighting
- 36:07Speaker 2: some teams up, so they get a chance on the
- 36:08Speaker 2: road at Wisconsin. So we mark that game at number
- 36:12Speaker 2: seven because USC quietly is still right there in contention.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Chad, right now they lead the Big Ten in third
- 36:20Speaker 1: down conversion and fourth down conversions. That's hard to do
- 36:24Speaker 1: in that league. But they rank 120th. in yards allowed
- 36:31Speaker 1: per pass attempt, their defense. It's, what, two and a half,
- 36:35Speaker 1: three and a half at Hard Rock Bet. I think
- 36:38Speaker 1: Wisconsin could be a live dog here, just given the
- 36:41Speaker 1: fact that Wisconsin's defense is not going to allow USC
- 36:44Speaker 1: to stay ahead of the chains. They're very good on
- 36:46Speaker 1: early downs. USC's not. They're constantly converting on third and
- 36:50Speaker 1: fourth down this season. This is a great game, and
- 36:52Speaker 1: USC surprised me on the road. They couldn't win on
- 36:54Speaker 1: the road, Lincoln Riley. He couldn't take his team cross country.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Now they are.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Hutton, I can't wait. College Football Weekend is here.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Well done.
- 37:02Speaker 2: And we got some props coming up also.

- 38:03Speaker 1: going for the bundle. The three of us, myself, Chad, JT,
- 38:06Speaker 1: here's our bundle. Kentucky minus 11 and a half. LSU
- 38:10Speaker 1: minus seven and a half for Chad, who's on the
- 38:12Speaker 1: road at Auburn. JT goes with Ole Miss plus three
- 38:16Speaker 1: and a half. I think if you would just join
- 38:18Speaker 1: us for Withrow's top 25 or top 10 games of
- 38:21Speaker 1: the college football weekend. We all lead that way, too.
- 38:25Speaker 1: We're confident in our bundle. Join us and take care
- 38:27Speaker 1: of the offer while you can. Chad, I like this
- 38:29Speaker 1: this week.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Bet what you know, and we know the SEC, and
- 38:32Speaker 2: we went three deep on SEC games in our bundle
- 38:35Speaker 2: this week.
- 38:36Speaker 1: So I love it. Let's lock it in. Hey, and
- 38:39Speaker 1: tonight you've got Virginia.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Tonight, give me the Wahoos.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Virginia.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Friday night, hunting, trying to go to 16-1. I may
- 38:48Speaker 2: even release like a little secret pick. I've been eyeing
- 38:50Speaker 2: that Wyoming game in Laramie tonight against Air Force also
- 38:54Speaker 2: as a live home dog. My Wyoming Cowboys, the home
- 38:58Speaker 2: of Josh Allen, being a possible live home underdog against
- 39:02Speaker 2: Air Force to win outright. I'm going to see if
- 39:04Speaker 2: I pick that a little bit later, but I'm definitely
- 39:05Speaker 2: picking Virginia minus two and a half at home against
- 39:08Speaker 2: Duke in a rematch of last year's ACC championship.
- 39:11Speaker 1: It's Friday, and for Hard Rock Bet, we profit like
- 39:14Speaker 1: it's hot. I'm going with Kenneth Walker III. Over 84.5
- 39:20Speaker 1: rushing yards. Look, he's returning back to Seattle. He's coming
- 39:23Speaker 1: off of back-to-back outings of 177 and 128. Facing his
- 39:27Speaker 1: former team. Look, he's chewing up clock. here the the
- 39:31Speaker 1: Chiefs are the road underdog which is rare you can
- 39:35Speaker 1: get plus money right now at Hard Rock Bet give
- 39:37Speaker 1: me over 84 and a half rushing yards for Kenneth
- 39:40Speaker 1: Walker III Tony Pollard for the Titans under 66 and
- 39:43Speaker 1: a half why because he plays for the Titans' offense
- 39:46Speaker 1: behind that offensive line. Under, Tony Pollard, 66.5 rushing yards. Chad,
- 39:50Speaker 1: they're also playing the Cleveland Browns very good at stopping
- 39:53Speaker 1: the run. That was one of your props last week,
- 39:56Speaker 1: and they faced the Cleveland Browns. Derrick Henry did. He scored,
- 40:01Speaker 1: but he didn't rush for very many yards. I'm taking
- 40:03Speaker 1: Pollard under. And Jameer Gibbs, over 93.5 rushing yards. The
- 40:08Speaker 1: guy is coming off a bye week. The Lions are
- 40:11Speaker 1: taking on the Packers. And I think they're going to
- 40:13Speaker 1: run and get him the ball a lot in this game.
- 40:15Speaker 1: That's what they do. They've got a solid quarterback play
- 40:19Speaker 1: this year. No interceptions. And look, Gibbs is one of
- 40:23Speaker 1: the best in the league.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Run, run, run, run, run for the Detroit Lions and
- 40:28Speaker 2: Jameer Gibbs. I like it. I'll be playing all three
- 40:30Speaker 2: of those. I've got one for you. The Tennessee Titans
- 40:32Speaker 2: cannot run and they cannot pass.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Oh, yes.
- 40:35Speaker 2: I'm going to go Cam Ward under... 187 and a
- 40:39Speaker 2: half yards. I thought that number was crazy when I
- 40:41Speaker 2: first saw it. A guy who can't throw for 100
- 40:43Speaker 2: yards in a win. The Browns defense is good. I
- 40:48Speaker 2: feel very confident Cam Ward going under 187 and a
- 40:51Speaker 2: half yards. I'm taking that as my prop this week.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Chad, last week it was 202 passing yards. It was
- 40:59Speaker 1: under that as well. I like it. You think it
- 41:02Speaker 1: was 79? I'd rock that. Am I right?
- 41:04Speaker 2: Did he throw for 79 yards last week? Is that
- 41:07Speaker 2: total 97?
- 41:07Speaker 1: He threw for 102 yards.
- 41:09Speaker 2: 102, okay. So he did go over 100.
- 41:11Speaker 1: A lot of that second half. I think the Titans
- 41:14Speaker 1: had 49 yards total or something.
- 41:16Speaker 2: I get all the miserable stats confused. Did he throw
- 41:18Speaker 2: for 79 yards recently at some point? Or am I
- 41:21Speaker 2: making that up? Probably.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Maybe not?
- 41:24Speaker 2: Okay. I'll find it.
- 41:26Speaker 1: You can see there on the screen, Monday we made
- 41:27Speaker 1: what with Hard Rocks? That's because we're very confident going
- 41:31Speaker 1: into the weekend. Let's win, Chad. Let's win. It's time.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Time to win.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Happy football.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Happy football to you, Hud.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Yes. Join us Monday here on Sporting State for a
- 41:41Speaker 1: Hutton and Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Have a great weekend to all.
