Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: All right, we got a nut now. We got to
- 0:04Speaker 2: hear the celeb gossip. What do you got?
- 0:05Speaker 1: A breakup I didn't see coming.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Chrishell Stouse and G Flip have called it quits on
- 0:10Speaker 3: their marriage after four years. So they first got together
- 0:13Speaker 3: in 2022. They married pretty quickly. They got married the
- 0:16Speaker 3: year after in 2023 in Vegas. But do you remember
- 0:19Speaker 3: they had like five weddings? Like they just kept getting married.
- 0:21Speaker 3: So apparently they pledged to actually marry and celebrate their
- 0:24Speaker 3: love annually. So they got married originally in Vegas in
- 0:29Speaker 3: 2023 and then they did a vow renewal the following
- 0:31Speaker 3: year in Australia in 2024. And then last year they
- 0:34Speaker 3: had a medieval themed ceremony in July in Hollywood Hills
- 0:38Speaker 3: in LA.
- 0:39Speaker 1: So they just kept getting married.
- 0:40Speaker 3: And now the next year instead of another marriage, it's
- 0:43Speaker 3: a breakup, unfortunately.
- 0:46Speaker 1: She'll have to throw a divorce party.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Chrishell has now posted online about the breakup.
- 0:51Speaker 3: She doesn't reveal too much, but let's have a listen.
- 0:53Speaker 1: To what she said.
- 0:53Speaker 4: I have a pretty humbling update to share with you guys.
- 0:58Speaker 4: G and I are no longer together, and we have
- 1:03Speaker 4: agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect
- 1:09Speaker 4: for each other. That's not hard for me because I
- 1:13Speaker 4: am in love with this person, and....
- 1:18Speaker 5: I don't have all the information or the reasons and
- 1:23Speaker 5: I just, I'm sure just like always with time, you know,
- 1:27Speaker 5: you get the lessons you're meant to.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Sounds like J Flip dumped her. Yeah. Because she said,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I don't have all the answers and I'm still in
- 1:35Speaker 1: love with this person.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, doesn't have all the info.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Yeah, because I can't see, it does not sound to me,
- 1:40Speaker 3: like she didn't tell us much but I think she
- 1:42Speaker 3: told us a lot.
- 1:43Speaker 6: It definitely doesn't sound like it's a mutual thing.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Wow, I wonder what happens.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Everything ends.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Oh, that's morbid. Morning, Alana. Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 2: No, but think about it. We'll get married and have
- 1:55Speaker 2: no more than two kids together, but one of us
- 1:57Speaker 2: will die one day, so everything does end.
- 1:59Speaker 1: That's true. Everything does end.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Sure, but like.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I back it. It does, yeah. All good things must
- 2:05Speaker 1: come to an end.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Sure.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Even if the end is death. Eventually, you know what
- 2:10Speaker 1: I mean?
- 2:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 6: More of it, eh?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Hello, guys.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Reality.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's a reality check for all of us this morning.
- 2:16Speaker 1: So enjoy today while you have it. Moving on.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Adam Brody, you know him mostly as Seth from The O.C.,
- 2:22Speaker 3: but more recently he's in the Netflix show Nobody Wants
- 2:25Speaker 3: This and he plays the rabbi.
- 2:27Speaker 1: The hot rabbi. The hot rabbi, alongside Kristen Bell.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Now, I think everyone knows this, but in case you don't,
- 2:35Speaker 3: Adam's married to Leighton Meester, who is Blair from Gossip Girl.
- 2:38Speaker 3: And that, like, you know, every girl's dream because it's
- 2:41Speaker 3: like Blair from Gossip Girl, which was like the biggest
- 2:44Speaker 3: show at the time, married Leighton. Seth from The O.C.,
- 2:48Speaker 3: the other biggest show at the time. So it was
- 2:49Speaker 3: just like a childhood dream coming true. They began dating
- 2:53Speaker 3: in 2013, got engaged pretty quickly, and they're still together
- 2:57Speaker 3: to this day with two kids later. Now, Adam was
- 3:00Speaker 3: chatting on the Armchair Expert podcast with the rest of
- 3:03Speaker 3: the cast from Nobody Wants This, and he actually explained
- 3:05Speaker 3: that he regrets the way he proposed to Leighton.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Let's have a listen.
- 3:09Speaker 7: I'll spare the details, however. Rest assured, it was not
- 3:14Speaker 7: as romantic as it should have been. And the only
- 3:17Speaker 7: thing romantic about it was the speed, meaning like I
- 3:20Speaker 7: proposed pretty quickly into our relationship. We got married fast.
- 3:23Speaker 7: So I thought there was– but other than that, it
- 3:26Speaker 7: was very– pedestrian and um thing is like you know
- 3:31Speaker 7: at the time you're like whatever but you're gonna tell
- 3:33Speaker 7: a story the rest of your life you know so
- 3:35Speaker 7: so my advice yeah do it do it not even
- 3:39Speaker 7: just for the moment but for the.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Story you're gonna tell yeah my parents were just like
- 3:44Speaker 5: it was a conversation yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 7: Yeah yeah yeah and yet i do kick myself a
- 3:47Speaker 7: little she she deserved a little more.
- 3:50Speaker 6: I can relate to that. Not that I did the proposing,
- 3:53Speaker 6: but I sometimes do wish that Ryan had proposed at
- 3:56Speaker 6: a different time. Now, I know it was kind of
- 3:58Speaker 6: out of his hands. Ryan actually asked my dad for
- 4:03Speaker 6: my hand in marriage, as you do, the respectful thing,
- 4:05Speaker 6: and my dad had had like 14 red wines.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So I walked down the back and he goes, oh.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Sal, Sal.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Ryan's just asked to take Amy off our hands.
- 4:15Speaker 6: And I was standing there.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So did he do it in that moment?
- 4:20Speaker 6: No, he didn't do it in that moment. But the
- 4:22Speaker 6: whole thing was because I was pregnant. So I was
- 4:24Speaker 6: like three months pregnant. We'd been there to tell my
- 4:26Speaker 6: parents that I was pregnant. And in the same conversation,
- 4:30Speaker 6: Ryan was also like, I'm going to make an honest
- 4:32Speaker 6: woman out of your daughter and propose.
- 4:34Speaker 1: And then my dad kind of blew it.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Oh, he did.
- 4:36Speaker 6: So I pretended not to hear, but Ryan could clock
- 4:39Speaker 6: that I'd heard it. So Ryan was like, right, well,
- 4:41Speaker 6: I'm not proposing anytime soon. So he waited until I
- 4:44Speaker 6: was like eight and a half months pregnant and I
- 4:46Speaker 6: was the size of a sperm whale.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Like I was so big.
- 4:51Speaker 6: And like the intention was nice and we went down
- 4:55Speaker 6: to Redleaf Beach where we used to go down with
- 4:58Speaker 6: like a– A pizza box and a bowl of red,
- 5:00Speaker 6: except I was so heavily pregnant and it was a
- 5:03Speaker 6: hot day and I was just in the water, like
- 5:06Speaker 6: breaching the surface as like a whale does.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And he was like, Amy, get out. And I was like,
- 5:10Speaker 1: piss off, because I didn't want to get out of
- 5:12Speaker 1: the water.
- 5:13Speaker 6: And I was walking up, chafing the huge thighs like
- 5:17Speaker 6: I was not a sight, like I was a sight
- 5:19Speaker 6: for sore eyes.
- 5:20Speaker 2: So it was disappointing.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Well, it wasn't disappointing.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It was still nice.
- 5:25Speaker 2: But, yeah, I was like a rectangle.
- 5:28Speaker 6: And I also just laid down so he didn't even
- 5:30Speaker 6: get on one knee because I was already on the floor.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, whatever. Now roll me over. He's like, while
- 5:38Speaker 1: we're down here, yeah.
- 5:40Speaker 2: And you didn't like your ring either, so you did
- 5:42Speaker 2: nothing right.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Oh, don't.
- 5:43Speaker 6: It's his birthday today.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Good morning, Ryan.
- 5:47Speaker 2: What was wrong with the ring again?
- 5:48Speaker 1: It was ugly, obviously.
- 5:50Speaker 6: No, it was my great-grandmother's ring and he got given
- 5:53Speaker 6: a bit of a bum steer and it ended up
- 5:55Speaker 6: looking like a UFO.
- 5:56Speaker 1: So I had to remodel it.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Well, I hope you're enjoying it.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Shit proposal, crap ring. But, hey, we're still together 10
- 6:03Speaker 1: years on. We're actually renewing our vows this year. Beautiful.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Are we invited? No.
- 6:09Speaker 2: No one's invited.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Morning to me.
- 6:13Speaker 6: It's literally just Ryan and my kids and the celebrant
- 6:16Speaker 6: and it's going to be in our backyard.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Right.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Oh, that's nice.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Nice and wholesome.
- 6:21Speaker 2: But don't do that because G Flip just broke up
- 6:23Speaker 2: with their partner.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Well, no, I feel like that was only three years ago.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Nice use of pronouns. Well done.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Oh, did I get it right?
- 6:30Speaker 1: Get it right. That was not the right word.
- 6:33Speaker 2: No, but I got, yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you got G Flip's pronouns correct. Well done, Mikey.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You have come such a long way.
- 6:39Speaker 2: You're so woke.
- 6:41Speaker 6: All right.
