- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the tech Talk Radio Network.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of tech Talk Radio.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm Justin Lemme.
- 0:11Speaker 2: That's good to see all I did.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I gotta I gotta say we're a little sad because
- 0:15Speaker 1: today we'll be Justin's last show for ever for a No, actually,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Justin is getting ready for a vacation.
- 0:30Speaker 2: We just caused like five car accidents by way, not
- 0:34Speaker 2: the water World guy. Sorry, we damaged your car. We're
- 0:40Speaker 2: not held responsible.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, well, I mean, I you've got to be
- 0:43Speaker 1: looking forward to this. I know, I can't remember the
- 0:45Speaker 1: last time I traveled internationally, and I've been to Australia,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I've been to England back, you know, to the mother country.
- 0:52Speaker 2: It's got to be exciting as you consider the mother country.
- 0:55Speaker 2: By the way, I'm curious, well, because you're half Indian,
- 0:59Speaker 2: half English, right, So oh man, I've got I got.
- 1:03Speaker 1: A story for you guys today. But yes, my mom
- 1:06Speaker 1: was born in Burma. I was born in England, so
- 1:10Speaker 1: when you know, she met my dad there and then
- 1:12Speaker 1: we came here to the States.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So okay, so you you consider England, what part of
- 1:17Speaker 2: what well part of England.
- 1:19Speaker 1: It's a place called Bedfordshire. And uh, it was cool.
- 1:23Speaker 1: My sister was born in Luton and there's.
- 1:24Speaker 2: A big zoo. There is your dad English?
- 1:27Speaker 1: He was, Yes, he was actually born in Wales. But
- 1:30Speaker 1: when he talked to he sounded like Michael Caine.
- 1:32Speaker 2: He had that. He had that kind of British accent.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And how come you don't have is because you you
- 1:38Speaker 2: moved to the States who I was too.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But it was weird because growing up, like when we
- 1:45Speaker 1: would go on vacations together to Vegas, we came out
- 1:48Speaker 1: here to Arizona, went to the Grand Canyon, I would
- 1:51Speaker 1: like start talking with that, you know, that kind of
- 1:55Speaker 1: the kind of sound that had the kind of the
- 1:58Speaker 1: British sound, and and he time i'd go back and
- 2:01Speaker 1: you know, spend time with my mom as well.
- 2:03Speaker 2: My dad passed in eighty four.
- 2:05Speaker 1: It would be like I would start talking like her
- 2:07Speaker 1: because she had a British accent as well.
- 2:09Speaker 2: But yeah, it was it was a trip. Do you
- 2:12Speaker 2: do you have any like natural Indian accent at all? Oh?
- 2:16Speaker 2: I do, yes? And it's so funny because people skit
- 2:20Speaker 2: to me. You know that some people find that offensive. No,
- 2:23Speaker 2: I mean, I'm half Indian and you're allowed to do that.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I found out that my grandfather this week was my
- 2:31Speaker 1: great grandfather was actually born in India, so I mean
- 2:35Speaker 1: not Burma, but India. So it is quite okay for
- 2:38Speaker 1: me to do. But that's how my uncle's all talked. Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, I remember one time I had really bad acne.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You know, growing up it was like, you know, fifteen sixteen,
- 2:49Speaker 1: we've all been there. Well, yeah, my uncle Kemp showed
- 2:52Speaker 1: up at the house and first thing he looked at me,
- 2:54Speaker 1: he says, so, what.
- 2:55Speaker 2: O burned your face?
- 2:57Speaker 1: I looked at him and I said, you know, I
- 2:58Speaker 1: had acting. I really that's what he's saying. I looked
- 3:01Speaker 1: at him and I said, what happened to your hair?
- 3:07Speaker 1: It was gone?
- 3:09Speaker 2: That shut them up real quick, right it actually? Yes, yes,
- 3:13Speaker 2: going to Japan? Though, What what do you like? What
- 3:17Speaker 2: do you plan for technically, because.
- 3:20Speaker 1: A lot of people always they they're listening to this
- 3:22Speaker 1: going yeah, I want to make an international trip or
- 3:24Speaker 1: even just getting on a flight to Vegas or New
- 3:27Speaker 1: York or wherever. You know, what are some things you
- 3:29Speaker 1: have to consider when you come to your laptop, to
- 3:31Speaker 1: your tablets, to your smartphones.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I can go on for hours and hours about you know,
- 3:36Speaker 2: the tech that that you want to do when you
- 3:38Speaker 2: go to Japan. But there's two main things that I
- 3:41Speaker 2: want to mention here. One is when you go to Japan. Now,
- 3:45Speaker 2: other countries are different. You have to look up your country.
- 3:48Speaker 2: But in Japan they only do one hundred volt, So
- 3:51Speaker 2: in America is one twenty. Right, So I knew this
- 3:54Speaker 2: back when I was you know, even in the military,
- 3:59Speaker 2: you would buy electrons at the store and they would
- 4:02Speaker 2: say there would be like warning signs on these that
- 4:04Speaker 2: would say, this is an American product. Be careful, you know,
- 4:09Speaker 2: using it outside of the military base. So the military
- 4:12Speaker 2: base right ups their voltage to one twenty, but when
- 4:17Speaker 2: you live outside, you're at one hundred volt. Now what
- 4:21Speaker 2: that means for electronics is that everything doesn't quite operate
- 4:27Speaker 2: maybe as fast as advertised. Like you're talking about computers, right,
- 4:32Speaker 2: You're talking about televisions, you know, Like for instance, I
- 4:35Speaker 2: know for a fact, I bought a brand new television
- 4:38Speaker 2: and I lived outside the base. I plugged it in,
- 4:41Speaker 2: turned it on, and I noticed I'm like, wow, this
- 4:44Speaker 2: is kind of laggy. Doesn't seem to be as quick
- 4:48Speaker 2: as I would want it to be, and I thought
- 4:50Speaker 2: it was just a bad television. No, it's just because
- 4:53Speaker 2: it's operating off one hundred volt, which I know there's
- 4:55Speaker 2: going to be people out there were going to say, wow,
- 4:57Speaker 2: you know that's not that much of a difference. No,
- 5:00Speaker 2: it's a little bit of a difference. There is, And
- 5:03Speaker 2: especially when you come to computers and things like that,
- 5:06Speaker 2: things don't operate as fast as they would. So I
- 5:11Speaker 2: would just consider the fact that when you go to
- 5:13Speaker 2: a foreign country, look up what their voltage is. Now,
- 5:18Speaker 2: you're going to Europe, you're gonna be on a different
- 5:21Speaker 2: set of what pretty much anywhere actually outside of the
- 5:24Speaker 2: United States, you're gonna be on a different voltage than
- 5:27Speaker 2: you would be inside the United States.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And it's not just the voltage, right, the frequency in
- 5:32Speaker 3: the UK it is fifty herds set here were sixty herds.
- 5:34Speaker 4: So yeah, stuff just doesn't play nice.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Now. Not only that, that's also the physical connections. Okay,
- 5:40Speaker 2: so there's a lot of like, if you're talking about
- 5:43Speaker 2: a PC, it's gonna have a three prong in America,
- 5:47Speaker 2: it's gonna have a three prong adapter, right, that only
- 5:49Speaker 2: fits in America. You try to go to Europe and
- 5:51Speaker 2: plug in your PC, it ain't gonna work because their
- 5:54Speaker 2: plugs are totally different. Wow.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Now is that why sometimes in your kits, depending on
- 5:59Speaker 1: where you're getting it from, you'll get something it's got
- 6:00Speaker 1: this weird looking two prong prug.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Yeah, yep, all right.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Now that's yeah exactly. Now that brings me to my
- 6:06Speaker 2: second point. Now, my second point is something that I
- 6:08Speaker 2: actually just learned a couple of days ago. When you
- 6:10Speaker 2: go on an airplane that goes across international borders, most
- 6:15Speaker 2: of the time they will have electric outlets on each seat.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Majority of those flights come from America. A majority of
- 6:24Speaker 2: the people that are plugging things in are Americans, right,
- 6:27Speaker 2: So they're plugging in the two prong not the three.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Problem with just the two pronged standard you know thing
- 6:33Speaker 2: that you plug in like a cell phone charger, those
- 6:35Speaker 2: outlets are worn out because you have so many people
- 6:41Speaker 2: every single day plugging things in, taking things out, plugging
- 6:44Speaker 2: them back in, taking them back out. So when you
- 6:47Speaker 2: try to plug in your device, it's probably just going
- 6:50Speaker 2: to fall out of the socket because that socket is
- 6:53Speaker 2: so worn out. So here's what I learned by a
- 6:56Speaker 2: Europe to America adapter. So when you go on the
- 6:59Speaker 2: air plane, you're gonna plug in with those two prong
- 7:03Speaker 2: Like you said, Andy does European too prong. You're gonna
- 7:06Speaker 2: plug into the European part of that airplane electrical outlet
- 7:11Speaker 2: and then convert it into what you want to plug into,
- 7:15Speaker 2: so that way your device doesn't just simply fall out
- 7:17Speaker 2: of the socket. Right, because nobody uses the European adapters
- 7:22Speaker 2: on an American based plane, So you're gonna get kind
- 7:26Speaker 2: of a snugger fit. Yeah, you're gonna get it. Yeah, literally,
- 7:29Speaker 2: you're gonna get a snugger fit. So I'm going to
- 7:32Speaker 2: buy one of those European adapters and have that for
- 7:34Speaker 2: the plane. So only other thing I can think of is,
- 7:37Speaker 2: you know, when I go on a plane. Now, this
- 7:38Speaker 2: this flight we go direct from Japan or from Denver
- 7:42Speaker 2: to Tokyo Narita. It's twelve hours. It's a long flight.
- 7:48Speaker 1: LA to New Zealand to Australia. Oh yeah, no twenty hours.
- 7:52Speaker 4: No, yeah, he's never gonna do that.
- 7:54Speaker 2: No, I'm good. But anyway, so yeah, so taking us
- 7:58Speaker 2: twelve hour flight, I gotta have stuff to do. So
- 8:00Speaker 2: I'm bringing my steam deck one and I'm loading up
- 8:03Speaker 2: on you know, steam deck games, things that don't necessarily
- 8:08Speaker 2: drain the battery too fast. But as long as I
- 8:10Speaker 2: have it plugged in, it's fine. Right. The other thing
- 8:13Speaker 2: I'm looking at is if my flight has starlink.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, some planes are incorporating that now, right, Yeah,
- 8:20Speaker 1: a lot of.
- 8:20Speaker 2: The planes are incorporating in starlink. However, there is a website,
- 8:24Speaker 2: and I'll have to see if I can find it
- 8:25Speaker 2: during the break. Maybe it might be our website of
- 8:27Speaker 2: the week. But there is a website somebody built that
- 8:30Speaker 2: tells you if you're on a United flight, type in
- 8:33Speaker 2: the flight number and it will tell you if it
- 8:35Speaker 2: has starlink or not. Oh no, that's cool, right, The
- 8:39Speaker 2: flight that I'm going to be on has less than
- 8:42Speaker 2: a one percent chance. Oh that's number. Yeah, bummer, Hey,
- 8:47Speaker 2: you look at it this way. You're fine.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You got to find the silver lining and everything. It's
- 8:50Speaker 1: not spirit right, I.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Mean, well, yeah, exactly. Crazy.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Do you guys ever use the flight aware app all
- 8:58Speaker 1: the time?
- 8:59Speaker 4: All the time? Yeah?
- 9:00Speaker 1: You see a plane flying if you're listeners. If you're listening,
- 9:04Speaker 1: you don't have the flight aware app. It's very cool
- 9:06Speaker 1: to have. You ever hear a plane and you want
- 9:08Speaker 1: to see what it is. If it's non military, generally
- 9:11Speaker 1: you can pull it up and you can see they've
- 9:13Speaker 1: been having an influx of the Spirit Airline planes flying
- 9:17Speaker 1: into Panel Airpark. Otherwise it's kind of like a mothball place.
- 9:21Speaker 2: The plays go there. Yeah, I remember that. Yeah, But
- 9:24Speaker 2: now let me let me give you one. Let me
- 9:25Speaker 2: give you one even better website. If you're just a
- 9:28Speaker 2: plane spotter and you want to just know what's above you.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Adsb dot org. It is better than flat aware. Now,
- 9:36Speaker 2: flight aware is good if you want to check your
- 9:38Speaker 2: flight right, if you want to check my flights on
- 9:41Speaker 2: time or oh when is my family coming in whatever?
- 9:44Speaker 2: I get it like flightware, But flight aware is just
- 9:47Speaker 2: full of ADS on the side. And every ADSB is
- 9:51Speaker 2: straight up raw data shows you exactly what plane, whether
- 9:55Speaker 2: it's commercial, private, military, experimental, any of those things. As
- 10:01Speaker 2: long as they're broadcasting their transponder, it will show up
- 10:04Speaker 2: on ADSB and it.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Just just to clarify, it's not ADSB dot org, it's
- 10:09Speaker 3: adsb exchange dot com.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Sorry, thank you, ADSB exchange. Is there a dash at.
- 10:16Speaker 3: It Just ADSB exchange dot com gives you live tracking.
- 10:20Speaker 3: It You'll be blown away when you zoom out and
- 10:23Speaker 3: you see how many planes are Actually.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Have you ever seen that?
- 10:26Speaker 2: Have you seen that site sean before?
- 10:28Speaker 4: Yes? Oh yeah, I use it all the time.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're watching our stream, if you watch the video,
- 10:34Speaker 2: I'm I'm on ADSB Exchange right now and all my lord,
- 10:40Speaker 2: I mean this is just upside yeah. This this shows
- 10:45Speaker 2: everything around you. And I'm zooming into Denver obviously because
- 10:49Speaker 2: i want to see because Denver is the third busiest
- 10:51Speaker 2: airport in America. Right, So look at how many planes
- 10:55Speaker 2: there are just right now in the sky.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Wow, that's just over the US.
- 11:01Speaker 2: That's just over the US.
- 11:02Speaker 1: That's that is a little better than flight.
- 11:04Speaker 3: But what's cool about what's cool about ADSB is you
- 11:07Speaker 3: can get They will send you a kit with an
- 11:10Speaker 3: antenna you can run and plug in and submit data
- 11:15Speaker 3: to them for better, more accurate tracking.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yep.
- 11:19Speaker 3: And then you get some parks and free access to
- 11:22Speaker 3: a couple of things. But you can get they will
- 11:23Speaker 3: send you a kit that you can install at your house.
- 11:26Speaker 3: There are some requirements you have to meet, but it's
- 11:28Speaker 3: pretty cool.
- 11:29Speaker 2: You have to buy that kit from them, so you
- 11:31Speaker 2: have to the charge.
- 11:32Speaker 3: It some depends on if you're in an area where
- 11:35Speaker 3: there is limited connected.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Like, it depends.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, so if I'm in Denver, I probably
- 11:41Speaker 2: have to buy it because there's plenty of them around.
- 11:43Speaker 2: This is Tucson, right now.
- 11:44Speaker 1: This is Tucson. He's showing us two son.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Where's everybody? Yeah, exactly right now, zoom out a little bit,
- 11:52Speaker 2: go to Phoenix. Oh yeah, yeah, there's a lot that's true.
- 11:57Speaker 2: That is really cool. I like it.
- 11:58Speaker 1: We'll be sitting outside and we'll hear an airplane and
- 12:01Speaker 1: I'll say, because they used to make fun of me
- 12:03Speaker 1: in high school because.
- 12:04Speaker 2: We'd be I was in civil Air.
- 12:06Speaker 1: It still make fun of you, I know, but I
- 12:08Speaker 1: was a civil Air patrol and I just loved airplanes.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Baba BlackSheep was the best show on television.
- 12:15Speaker 1: And I'd be out on the playground, you know, we'd
- 12:17Speaker 1: be taking our break or whatever, and they'd say, you know, hey, Andy,
- 12:21Speaker 1: what plane is that? And I would listen and I'd
- 12:24Speaker 1: be able to say, Oh, that's DC nine, or you know,
- 12:28Speaker 1: that's an L ten eleven or whatever, even just looking
- 12:32Speaker 1: at it and stuff. And then the vintage aircraft that
- 12:34Speaker 1: would fly around Orange County. We'd be able to pick
- 12:37Speaker 1: those out. But it was just so much fun. Having
- 12:40Speaker 1: a tool like this growing up would have been neat.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So kids that like aviation they may have some fun
- 12:44Speaker 1: with this too. Yeah, and this is also a mobile app.
- 12:47Speaker 1: You can get this on a phone. You can pinpoint
- 12:49Speaker 1: your location. Well actually, as soon as you launch it
- 12:52Speaker 1: on the phone, it knows your location and it will
- 12:55Speaker 1: show you everything that's around you. So if you see
- 12:57Speaker 1: something in the sky you're like, what is that, launch
- 13:00Speaker 1: the app on your phone. Boom, It'll tell you exactly
- 13:03Speaker 1: what it is. It'll say what the tail number is,
- 13:06Speaker 1: what the registration code is, what the altitude with the speed,
- 13:10Speaker 1: all that stuff that is.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Origin, airport, destination, airport, flight plan, et cetera.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Any kid that likes in aviation or adult listening, they
- 13:19Speaker 1: would probably find it to be pretty neat.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Absolutely this is this is probably one of the best
- 13:24Speaker 2: websites for aviation geeks.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So all right, back to you going to Japan, though,
- 13:29Speaker 1: I'm wondering, so you take do you take your laptop
- 13:32Speaker 1: with you when you go or is it.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Just well that was that was a topic good discussion
- 13:36Speaker 2: between me and my wife. We decided that I wasn't
- 13:39Speaker 2: gonna bring my laptop with me. However, all of a
- 13:42Speaker 2: sudden then she's like, oh, well, we're gonna want to
- 13:45Speaker 2: edit some photos and do all this stuff.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, now I'm bringing my laptop right now.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You have a problem charging it though, if you get I'm.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Bringing a converter, I'll bring a converter.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Now.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Granted, the laptop is not going to run it full capacity.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I mean it's it's going to be decreased performance throughout
- 14:06Speaker 2: the time because of the fact that it is requiring
- 14:09Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty volts. I'm only gonna get a
- 14:11Speaker 2: hundred out of it, So it's gonna be decreased performance.
- 14:15Speaker 2: But I should still be able to edit photos, do
- 14:18Speaker 2: whatever else I need to do on it while I'm there.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Are there any precautions? When is this something you take
- 14:24Speaker 1: in your carry carry on? Do you have to pack
- 14:27Speaker 1: it or you know what type?
- 14:29Speaker 2: You can't? You can't pack it, No, because it has
- 14:31Speaker 2: a lithium ion battery, so no, you have to you
- 14:33Speaker 2: have to carry it on. Yeah, when I'm on the plane,
- 14:36Speaker 2: I'm not going to touch my laptop because I mean,
- 14:39Speaker 2: first off, I don't have room. I'm not flying first class,
- 14:42Speaker 2: although I would like to. I'll be sitting in coach
- 14:45Speaker 2: and I'll probably just have my steam deck and a
- 14:47Speaker 2: couple you know, jack and cokes in front of me,
- 14:49Speaker 2: and I'll be good.
- 14:50Speaker 1: It makes the flight go so much quicker. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 14:53Speaker 1: the steam deck of course, yes, yeah, that's what I mean.
- 14:56Speaker 1: The jack and cokes help too.
- 14:57Speaker 2: But you know, well that's cool now, Sean. You had
- 15:01Speaker 2: a busy week as well.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Sean, it's been May is always busy, you guys know that.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you were doing some concert thing and honestly, you
- 15:11Speaker 1: showed me the setup and I was pretty impressed by this.
- 15:14Speaker 1: You know, there are people that go to church services
- 15:17Speaker 1: that listen, they go to concerts, you know, put on
- 15:19Speaker 1: by Sapack and all that stuff. You live streamed that.
- 15:22Speaker 1: What is it an eight hour event?
- 15:24Speaker 4: Oh my god, it's more than that. It's it's two days.
- 15:28Speaker 3: So the only live stream two days. But it's a
- 15:31Speaker 3: multi day chamber music competition. So strings wins. It's a
- 15:37Speaker 3: it's the largest chamber winds competition in the world in
- 15:43Speaker 3: terms of the volume.
- 15:44Speaker 2: What's it called again? The fish Off Fish Off? All right?
- 15:47Speaker 3: It was founded and started here in South Bend and
- 15:49Speaker 3: it's affiliated with the university they hosted. They host the
- 15:53Speaker 3: finals here every year, well at the semi final, they
- 15:55Speaker 3: host the whole competition here. Yeah, So on Saturday we
- 16:02Speaker 3: started live streaming at eight thirty and there was pretty
- 16:07Speaker 3: much constant group, I mean, and I think they went
- 16:09Speaker 3: through thirty groups, right, And so we were live from
- 16:13Speaker 3: eight thirty till almost eight pm.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Oh man, it seems like.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Eleven and a half hours.
- 16:22Speaker 3: And then Sunday Mother's Day was the finals. So it
- 16:29Speaker 3: was the top three. Because there's a juniors category and
- 16:32Speaker 3: then there's a seniors category. So juniors are pretty much
- 16:36Speaker 3: kids that are in grade school to high school, and
- 16:39Speaker 3: then the seniors group is college and upright, right, but
- 16:43Speaker 3: old collegiate you have to be in college. It's some
- 16:45Speaker 3: of the top classical music talent at the collegiate and
- 16:48Speaker 3: junior level in the world.
- 16:49Speaker 1: And coordinating like the live stream for this, is it
- 16:53Speaker 1: like a really difficult task or is it being made
- 16:55Speaker 1: easier over the last five years?
- 16:57Speaker 3: Oh, streaming, it's streaming. This kind of stuffs made is
- 17:00Speaker 3: incredibly easy now. The production value changes based on how
- 17:04Speaker 3: much you want to put into it. We ran it
- 17:07Speaker 3: so not to name studios typically handled the live streaming
- 17:11Speaker 3: and the production for this we did not do it
- 17:13Speaker 3: this year. It got bid out to wn T, which
- 17:16Speaker 3: is the.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Local PBS affiliate here in South Bend.
- 17:19Speaker 3: And I've worked on it every year since I've been
- 17:22Speaker 3: at her name, So this is my eighth year doing
- 17:25Speaker 3: would have been my eighth year doing Fishoff with Durn
- 17:27Speaker 3: Studios now at varying levels. Right the first couple of years,
- 17:30Speaker 3: I was just doing engineering, just being the in venue utility,
- 17:34Speaker 3: so just sitting in the concert hall waiting for something
- 17:37Speaker 3: to happen with the equipment or whatever. And then as
- 17:39Speaker 3: time went on and they reduced the number of people
- 17:41Speaker 3: they wanted on it to reduce costs, I ended up
- 17:43Speaker 3: doing directing, technical directing, and then producing. This year I
- 17:48Speaker 3: did all three for WNT.
- 17:50Speaker 1: They reached out to you and they said, hey, you've
- 17:52Speaker 1: done this.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Oh I reached out to I reached out to them
- 17:54Speaker 4: to be honest, because I like doing it.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I like chamber of music. I like classical music. I
- 17:58Speaker 3: have a long bread the history of classical music in
- 18:01Speaker 3: my family, Caitlin's family, so classical music is important to
- 18:04Speaker 3: me and it's something I enjoy. None of them had
- 18:07Speaker 3: ever done none of them at WNAT had done it,
- 18:09Speaker 3: so they didn't know the format. They didn't know the routine,
- 18:12Speaker 3: they didn't know the timing, they didn't know kind of
- 18:14Speaker 3: the whole thing because it's kind of a rinse and repeat.
- 18:16Speaker 3: It's been the same kind of format for the last
- 18:19Speaker 3: couple of years. So I reached out and said, hey,
- 18:21Speaker 3: I've done it. Here's some clips I did last year.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Let me know what you think. They're like, yes, we
- 18:25Speaker 3: want you.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Oh, very cool, Wow cool.
- 18:27Speaker 4: So I went in and did it. I thought I
- 18:30Speaker 4: was just going to TD Direct.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I got dropped into it and they're like, oh, where
- 18:33Speaker 3: do you want to set up these cameras? Where do
- 18:35Speaker 3: you want How do you want to do these interviews?
- 18:36Speaker 3: How do you want to like this? How do you
- 18:38Speaker 3: want to And I was like, oh.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Man, executive producer, I'm doing all of it.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Got it.
- 18:44Speaker 3: So I ended up doing not the front end producing,
- 18:47Speaker 3: but I ended up was like the in venue producer
- 18:49Speaker 3: for the live stream. So I I made sure it
- 18:52Speaker 3: was not I made sure that it was on time,
- 18:54Speaker 3: I made sure.
- 18:56Speaker 4: I did get paid for it.
- 18:58Speaker 3: But again, I'm doing it because I liked it, and
- 19:00Speaker 3: I like PBS and I support the bottle of PBS
- 19:03Speaker 3: and the public education stuff. So I did it for
- 19:05Speaker 3: a lot less than I could have made, Let's put
- 19:07Speaker 3: it that way. Came in not knowing what switcher I
- 19:10Speaker 3: was using, what cameras I was getting. They're not set
- 19:12Speaker 3: up to do remote broadcasting in the way that I
- 19:15Speaker 3: do it in our name with sports and you know,
- 19:17Speaker 3: so there were some creature comforts that I didn't have.
- 19:19Speaker 3: And thankfully I had two camera operators that work with
- 19:22Speaker 3: us a lot in our name and they were rock solid,
- 19:25Speaker 3: and the guys from WNT were great, and everything went fine.
- 19:28Speaker 1: He sent us the video, the eight hour video, and
- 19:32Speaker 1: I like, comment, do I have to watch all of this?
- 19:35Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I said, cool, but I'm not watching all
- 19:38Speaker 2: eight hours of.
- 19:38Speaker 3: This, So I just sent them for those of you
- 19:41Speaker 3: that are listening, I just sent them a link to
- 19:43Speaker 3: the YouTube channel YouTube video which you can timestamp to
- 19:46Speaker 3: a specific time, which I set to the last the
- 19:49Speaker 3: final performance when.
- 19:51Speaker 2: You timestamp that. I started watching it and it was
- 19:55Speaker 2: an empty auditorium for about thirty seconds, and that is
- 19:59Speaker 2: all my tension span could handle. And I was like, cool,
- 20:02Speaker 2: an empty auditorium. Awesome, great job, Sean. You could have
- 20:06Speaker 2: timestamped it better.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Okay, I probably couldn't timestand right to the must have
- 20:11Speaker 3: been I must have time said, I.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Was like, yeah, I'm done, too bad.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I'm glad. I'm glad your atock addiction is getting you.
- 20:20Speaker 2: What happened to watch too much TikTok? Justin? Yeah?
- 20:23Speaker 1: Right? Uh, It's funny because I showed Gloria I was
- 20:27Speaker 1: I was listening to it and watching that that clip
- 20:29Speaker 1: that you paid a timestaf But I finally got into
- 20:32Speaker 1: the music portion of it.
- 20:33Speaker 2: See keyboard, keyword finally, yeah, keyword Finally.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Gloria said to me, she said, what's that instruments? It's
- 20:40Speaker 1: like a long tube? That was like, really big, it's
- 20:44Speaker 1: the I told her it was a Digerie doo.
- 20:54Speaker 3: It's funny you mentioned that because over the years I've
- 20:57Speaker 3: had cam rappers that had known nothing about classical music.
- 21:00Speaker 3: And I'm directing, and like I said, I've got a
- 21:03Speaker 3: lot of classical music experience in my life, and I
- 21:07Speaker 3: know this is going we're doing it. It's a quartex
- 21:10Speaker 3: saxophone quartet, so you have a tenor saxophone, an alto,
- 21:13Speaker 3: a berry and a soprano right right, And I'm just
- 21:17Speaker 3: like camera one, get the soprano, and they're just like
- 21:20Speaker 3: painting it around trying to find it. And I was like,
- 21:24Speaker 3: I was like, camera to get the berry and they're like,
- 21:26Speaker 3: they ken't quietly which one is that one.
- 21:29Speaker 4: I'm like, it's the big one, and they're.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Like, which big one.
- 21:34Speaker 4: I was like, okay.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I ended up having to give them a little bit
- 21:37Speaker 3: more of a description of this is what a Barry
- 21:40Speaker 3: saxophone looks like, this is what it pursuon looks like.
- 21:42Speaker 4: This is an Obo, this is an English or this
- 21:45Speaker 4: is a French.
- 21:45Speaker 3: One great experience fishoff dot org if you want to
- 21:50Speaker 3: check it out.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Andy, you say, if you just have been fish off,
- 21:55Speaker 2: it's probably gonna end up a tournament.
- 21:57Speaker 4: It's not.
- 21:58Speaker 3: My brother in law thought shop I was doing, which
- 22:01Speaker 3: was shooting a fishing competition.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Well, when you say fish off, I mean it sounds
- 22:06Speaker 2: like you're going fishing.
- 22:07Speaker 4: How do you spell it? Fis c h off?
- 22:11Speaker 2: All right, you're gonna take quick break. We come back.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I gotta tell you about the rabbit hole I fell
- 22:15Speaker 1: down this week. Also, some great savings when it comes
- 22:18Speaker 1: to shopping, and we got a couple of listener questions.
- 22:22Speaker 2: We'll be back with more of tech talk Radio. I'm
- 22:24Speaker 2: Andy Taylor, I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm Justin. Let
- 22:27Speaker 2: me find us on the web at tech talk radio
- 22:28Speaker 2: dot com. We'll be right back now, back to tech
- 22:31Speaker 2: talk Radio. Y'all.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Remember the story about the woman in Ohio, the ninety
- 22:37Speaker 1: one year old woman we talked about that was playing.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Yeah, the one that got the swat called on her
- 22:43Speaker 2: or something.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Bubble Pop, the Bubble Pop gamer.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I just gotta say.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I started playing Bubble Pop and it's so addictive.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Pop.
- 22:54Speaker 1: It's you know we talk about video games. Yeah, we
- 22:57Speaker 1: play so Bubble Pop Origin. It's available on in your
- 23:01Speaker 1: app store. After the story about this woman playing, and
- 23:04Speaker 1: I'm thinking what would cause this woman to be so
- 23:06Speaker 1: into playing bubble Pop? It's like, what are they? What
- 23:09Speaker 1: is that thing called ASMR? What is that?
- 23:11Speaker 4: Yeah? The sound, the sound, the satisfying sounds.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yeah, sounds and with no talking, it's just the sounds
- 23:17Speaker 2: of whatever you're doing.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not like Candy Crush. If you played Candy
- 23:21Speaker 1: Crush ever good you know that game. This this Bubble
- 23:24Speaker 1: Pop Origin game, it's like so addictive and I'll play
- 23:28Speaker 1: like three or four levels and then Okay, I'll put
- 23:30Speaker 1: her away, but I find myself like an hour later,
- 23:33Speaker 1: take the phone out and playing it again.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Yeah and yeah.
- 23:36Speaker 1: It gives you ads and it wants you to spend money,
- 23:38Speaker 1: but I would spun.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Downloading it.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I swear you're gonna if it's one of those it's
- 23:46Speaker 1: one of those games that you when you get a
- 23:47Speaker 1: few moments to yourself, you know, you just want to
- 23:50Speaker 1: play the game.
- 23:51Speaker 2: And folks, just let you know. This is the last
- 23:54Speaker 2: show that Sean will be on for a long time
- 23:56Speaker 2: as well, because he's now downloading Bubble Pop. That's what
- 24:00Speaker 2: he would be playing. All right. I got to tell
- 24:02Speaker 2: you a story. Let me but first let me ask you.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Have you guys gone into genealogy at all? I mean,
- 24:09Speaker 1: the Internet has kind of made a little easier.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I know, shot has Sean you have? Right? I tried it.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I got yeah, a certain amount of time, but I
- 24:17Speaker 2: didn't go that far back.
- 24:19Speaker 4: So I didn't, but my brother did.
- 24:21Speaker 3: My brother probably seven or eight years ago, did a
- 24:25Speaker 3: full genealogy, like went back into Germany and got like
- 24:30Speaker 3: our family coat of arms, like from a gazooion years ago.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Pretty sure the earth wasn't around a gazillion years ago.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Go ahead, but no.
- 24:39Speaker 3: So my brother did a like did a full and
- 24:42Speaker 3: got paid paid for like a submarine and stuff, which
- 24:45Speaker 3: is pretty cool to see.
- 24:46Speaker 1: So you mentioned earlier Burma, right, and if you know
- 24:50Speaker 1: the history of Burma, you know it's a country right
- 24:52Speaker 1: now that had They had a military coup and pretty
- 24:55Speaker 1: much everything's locked down in the fifties. When the government
- 24:59Speaker 1: fell the first time, people scattered and we have relatives
- 25:05Speaker 1: that went to England, relatives that went to Australia.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I had an uncle that went to France. They just
- 25:10Speaker 2: got out of Burma.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And one thing I knew about Burma is I knew
- 25:14Speaker 1: my grandfather owned he was a pharmacist, a chemist for
- 25:19Speaker 1: being a Burma Francis is not a very common name.
- 25:23Speaker 1: You have names like Foo or Zin or very Chinese
- 25:27Speaker 1: sounding names, but theirs was Francis.
- 25:31Speaker 2: So I just thought that was kind of cool last week.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I just I have photos family photos of the house.
- 25:39Speaker 1: They had a beautiful house. During the World War II
- 25:43Speaker 1: occupation of Japan, Japan occupied Burma as well, you know,
- 25:47Speaker 1: there were stories about the house and they sheltered British
- 25:50Speaker 1: pilots and the whole bit.
- 25:51Speaker 2: But I just decided to go a Google Foo.
- 25:56Speaker 1: And you know the thing is, I did Google Foo
- 25:59Speaker 1: about five years ago and I typed in my you know,
- 26:03Speaker 1: grandfather's name, and for sale on eBay was a letter
- 26:10Speaker 1: from the Francis Medical Hall to some person in England.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Somebody was selling it postmarked letter from the Francis Medical Hall.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I just I was.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I thought, that's my kin, that's my grandfather that sent
- 26:23Speaker 1: that letter. It was sold for one hundred and seventy
- 26:25Speaker 1: five pounds British on eBay, Like why would somebody want that?
- 26:30Speaker 1: I always thought that was kind of neat. So the
- 26:33Speaker 1: other day I thought, well, here we are, we're five
- 26:35Speaker 1: years later now onto the internet. What's out there now?
- 26:38Speaker 1: Because as people post stuff and I do a search
- 26:41Speaker 1: and I find this photo and it's a colored photo,
- 26:44Speaker 1: a retouch photo.
- 26:45Speaker 2: That's this guy that's on Facebook.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Does these photos from Cylon, India, Burma, Pakistan, all those
- 26:53Speaker 1: areas that over over the years he has corrected. So
- 26:57Speaker 1: I went ahead and I do this search. In this
- 27:00Speaker 1: picture pops up and I'm reading the picture and it
- 27:04Speaker 1: said Merchantile store nineteen oh two shows these people standing
- 27:09Speaker 1: in the store. It's a Cadbury sign above them, and
- 27:12Speaker 1: they're in the traditional Burmese garb, and it said photographer
- 27:17Speaker 1: John Francis. And I'm like, wait what And I'm looking
- 27:22Speaker 1: going wait a minute. And so I'm looking at this
- 27:25Speaker 1: thinking wait, how could it be? My grandfather would have
- 27:28Speaker 1: been four at the time. Right, So I start doing
- 27:32Speaker 1: a deep dive and I go to family search and
- 27:35Speaker 1: I start looking and apparently I don't know what was
- 27:37Speaker 1: up with my family, but my great grandfather was John
- 27:42Speaker 1: Lazarus Francis. And John Lazarus Francis apparently was a photographer
- 27:48Speaker 1: and he owned a merchandise store and he would go
- 27:51Speaker 1: around and take photos. And I was like, what approximately
- 27:56Speaker 1: what time? This was in the early nineteen hundreds, all right,
- 28:00Speaker 1: John L. Francis. But here's the crazy thing. He would
- 28:03Speaker 1: name his kids John Francis. He had two sons and
- 28:08Speaker 1: named them both John, which they how does that work exactly?
- 28:13Speaker 2: They both have different middle names. Hey, one, come over
- 28:16Speaker 2: here to go to your room.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Thing.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I'm looking at this picture and this is really kind
- 28:22Speaker 2: of cool.
- 28:22Speaker 1: So a friend requested the guy that has his page,
- 28:27Speaker 1: he's got a lot of followers, a lot of people
- 28:29Speaker 1: like it. And I was reading some of the comments,
- 28:32Speaker 1: and I see a comment and it says, this is
- 28:35Speaker 1: my great grandfather.
- 28:37Speaker 2: You know, I would love to get more information.
- 28:40Speaker 1: About this, and I'm thinking, wait what, And it's this
- 28:44Speaker 1: this woman on there named Angela. Now I have a
- 28:46Speaker 1: cousin named Angela, but that didn't have the same last name.
- 28:49Speaker 1: And I'm like, wait a minute, I'm looking at it.
- 28:52Speaker 1: So I sent her a note. I said, hi, cousin,
- 28:55Speaker 1: just you know what the heck. So she sends me
- 28:58Speaker 1: a note back and she says, are you related to
- 29:00Speaker 1: this that, because that's my great grandfather, And I said,
- 29:03Speaker 1: he's mine too. So it turns out he is. We
- 29:08Speaker 1: start heard, I become friends and we start talking. She's
- 29:11Speaker 1: exchanging photos with me. I'm exchanging photos with her. Her
- 29:15Speaker 1: grandfather was the other John. My grandfather with John, hers
- 29:21Speaker 1: was John B. We share the same great grandfather. So
- 29:25Speaker 1: now I'm learning about a whole different family I didn't
- 29:28Speaker 1: even know about. My mom had never I think she
- 29:30Speaker 1: had mentioned something that were they were they Burmese or
- 29:33Speaker 1: were they England? Well they were Burmese. And then I
- 29:36Speaker 1: found out my grandfather, great grandfather was born in India,
- 29:40Speaker 1: Hyderabad or something like that. So, I mean just being
- 29:43Speaker 1: online and just seeing this info, I've been able to
- 29:47Speaker 1: reconnect now and she photos I didn't know exists.
- 29:50Speaker 2: It's so cool.
- 29:51Speaker 1: That's cool, and it was there's there was some qualifying
- 29:54Speaker 1: she did. She sent me when she said, asked me about, you.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Know, being related.
- 29:59Speaker 1: She said, oh, so your mom is this person. She's
- 30:03Speaker 1: a sister to so and so. And I'm like, no,
- 30:06Speaker 1: those are not the names of the people. And I
- 30:08Speaker 1: think she was qualifying me to make sure I wasn't
- 30:10Speaker 1: some kind of because you gotta be careful when you're
- 30:12Speaker 1: giving out information, you know.
- 30:14Speaker 2: And so I was able to confirm that. And all
- 30:17Speaker 2: the trying to.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Get her mom's maiden names.
- 30:19Speaker 1: She can hack her credit, you know, stuff like that happens.
- 30:24Speaker 1: So again I was able to you know, we're able
- 30:27Speaker 1: to qualify each other. Now we are sharing pictures we've
- 30:29Speaker 1: both never seen. She's sent me one and I'm like, oh,
- 30:33Speaker 1: there's my grandfather, there's my grandmother. And I sent her one.
- 30:36Speaker 1: She's like, I think that's my aunt Patsy in the back. So,
- 30:39Speaker 1: because they would gather at the house. So it's been
- 30:42Speaker 1: a really awesome journey and now I'm finding out about
- 30:45Speaker 1: genealogy research. You know, I'm finding out you know, the
- 30:49Speaker 1: family search one anceestry dot com. But I'm thinking, should
- 30:52Speaker 1: I be a little concerned about putting info up there
- 30:56Speaker 1: because I'm not on there. I found out that my
- 31:00Speaker 1: my sister who's no longer with us, she's on there,
- 31:03Speaker 1: but I'm not showing nor is my other sister. And
- 31:07Speaker 1: you know, are you opening yourself up when you put
- 31:09Speaker 1: up information on these days?
- 31:10Speaker 4: Always are?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Wow, Sean.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know what my brother put out
- 31:19Speaker 3: when he was searching for this.
- 31:21Speaker 2: But yeah, have you looked to see if you're up there?
- 31:24Speaker 4: I have not.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I I mean, just do your due diligence, be a
- 31:28Speaker 2: little bit careful, Maybe ask for some sort of a proof,
- 31:32Speaker 2: you know, if you're talking to this person who you
- 31:36Speaker 2: think is your cousin, right, you know, one thing you
- 31:38Speaker 2: could say is, hey, write my name on a piece
- 31:41Speaker 2: of paper and take a photo of you next to it.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Oh that's interesting too, and and and yeah, AI might
- 31:49Speaker 2: still be able to do something like that maybe, but
- 31:52Speaker 2: at least it's one step closer to understanding whether or
- 31:55Speaker 2: not you're talking to the real person, or do like
- 31:59Speaker 2: they did back in the way old days call them, yeah,
- 32:04Speaker 2: ask them to get on a phone call, right, But
- 32:07Speaker 2: you can stay the other way. Now, there's there's ways
- 32:11Speaker 2: around that, Like especially if you're talking to somebody and
- 32:15Speaker 2: there's a good long delay before they respond to every
- 32:18Speaker 2: single one of your questions and typing, well, I mean
- 32:22Speaker 2: that you could be talking to a chat bot voice
- 32:25Speaker 2: chat bot. But still if there's a long delay before
- 32:28Speaker 2: they respond to your question, chances are you're talking to
- 32:30Speaker 2: an AI. But if you talk to somebody you're like, oh,
- 32:33Speaker 2: hey remember yesterday, and they're like, oh yeah, right, yes,
- 32:35Speaker 2: of course right away. Yeah, probably talking to a real person.
- 32:39Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, there's there's certain things you gotta do.
- 32:42Speaker 2: But I understand what you're saying, honestly, it sounds legit
- 32:46Speaker 2: to me. But you gotta be careful. You have to
- 32:49Speaker 2: be careful in this day and age. You've got to
- 32:51Speaker 2: be careful with everything you do online.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. Well it's been a great experience. So again,
- 32:58Speaker 1: hopefully I'll have more photos and maybe I'll even share
- 33:01Speaker 1: a couple of which brings me up to good point.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Sean.
- 33:03Speaker 1: As you as somebody that has kept track of your
- 33:06Speaker 1: family photos and digitized them, how do you feel about
- 33:11Speaker 1: when somebody gets a photo that a circa nineteen thirty,
- 33:14Speaker 1: nineteen twenty that has been you know obviously weather time
- 33:18Speaker 1: through time. People are now taking them and putting him
- 33:21Speaker 1: into Gemini or Nano Banana and fixing them. Is that
- 33:27Speaker 1: the right way to leave our legacy? Or do you
- 33:31Speaker 1: think it's better to have just those original pictures and
- 33:34Speaker 1: that's it.
- 33:36Speaker 2: I mean I went.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Through and cleaned all the slides and scanned them and
- 33:43Speaker 3: did only and only did color correction, lighting, exposure correction.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Right, and a little bit of aid noising.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Have you tried colorizing them or were they all well?
- 33:59Speaker 4: I just I just did light room.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I didn't do any I didn't do any AI coloring
- 34:06Speaker 3: or I didn't tell AI to do anything with them.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I just scanned them, looked at I went went through
- 34:12Speaker 3: the whole library. I think it was like forty two
- 34:15Speaker 3: hundred or something around forty two hundred individual slides that
- 34:18Speaker 3: I scanned.
- 34:20Speaker 4: And then categorize them.
- 34:22Speaker 3: And then as I was categorizing them, made copies of
- 34:25Speaker 3: ones that I wanted to I was like, oh, this
- 34:27Speaker 3: was cool. I'll i'll edit this one to make it
- 34:29Speaker 3: look better. And I ended up with like four hundred
- 34:31Speaker 3: and fifty edited keeps finals that I kept that I
- 34:35Speaker 3: turned into a book for my grandparents.
- 34:39Speaker 4: And no, I don't. I don't I get it. AI
- 34:44Speaker 4: is nice.
- 34:47Speaker 3: I I've just been I've been dabbling with it a
- 34:50Speaker 3: little bit in Photoshop to remove backgrounds or remove images
- 34:55Speaker 3: and things like that, and it's it's really fast and
- 35:00Speaker 3: and it works really well.
- 35:01Speaker 1: It's gotten better too over the last it has.
- 35:03Speaker 4: But I just don't.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I don't in my personal artistic philosophy. Don't see a
- 35:09Speaker 3: place for AI in my art I don't.
- 35:12Speaker 2: How about how about you?
- 35:13Speaker 1: When it comes to preserving family photos.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'm kind of with sewn on it. Yeah, I mean,
- 35:22Speaker 2: I guess it depends.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Isn't there something about holding a polaroid?
- 35:28Speaker 2: I mean, sir? Yeah, But I mean if I have
- 35:30Speaker 2: a really damaged photo and I go to Reddit and
- 35:34Speaker 2: I say, there's there's plenty of subreddits that will actually
- 35:37Speaker 2: restore photos using Photoshop. The problem is a lot of those.
- 35:43Speaker 2: If you got a really, really damaged photo, it's going
- 35:45Speaker 2: to cost you a couple hundred bucks yep, to have
- 35:48Speaker 2: a professional restore it. If you're not in the budget
- 35:52Speaker 2: for that, fine, go use AI. See how good AI
- 35:57Speaker 2: can do. Maybe you'll get lucky, maybe it will turn
- 36:00Speaker 2: out great, but you're.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Not selling it. It's gonna be in your own personal
- 36:04Speaker 1: wall or whatever.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Sure. Yeah, and that's why I look at it like.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I don't look at it and say, oh, I can
- 36:09Speaker 2: only see my grandpa because AI redid this. No, I'm
- 36:12Speaker 2: not gonna look at it like that. I'm gonna look
- 36:14Speaker 2: at it like, hey, I got this photo and I
- 36:16Speaker 2: didn't have to pay somebody five hundred dollars for their time.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I just had to use AI for thirty seconds and
- 36:23Speaker 2: it restored it.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Okay, I'm good, Sean. You were gonna make a point
- 36:26Speaker 1: about Polaroid.
- 36:27Speaker 4: No, I just it.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Justin mentioned that there are subreddits for photoshop requests you
- 36:33Speaker 3: can and it's a great resource. You can say here's
- 36:37Speaker 3: a picture, please do this to it, yeah, and people
- 36:42Speaker 3: will say, all right, for five bucks, here's a I
- 36:44Speaker 3: did it.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Give me five bucks, you can have everything.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 36:48Speaker 3: So I used it to clean up a picture of
- 36:51Speaker 3: Kale's grandma to put up at her funeral. They wanted
- 36:56Speaker 3: a nice like headshot for her funeral, and I paid
- 36:59Speaker 3: someventy five bucks to crop her out of a really
- 37:02Speaker 3: nice image. And put a black background on it.
- 37:04Speaker 4: It looked.
- 37:05Speaker 3: It turned out really good, So there's good resources for that.
- 37:08Speaker 4: You can also request no AI.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Now it's the honesty game here at that point, right,
- 37:13Speaker 3: whether or not they did use AI or not, I'm
- 37:16Speaker 3: giving the benefit of the doubt if I say, please
- 37:18Speaker 3: don't use AI. It's a very simple request. But again,
- 37:22Speaker 3: could I have done it? I tried. I tried using
- 37:24Speaker 3: background remover. I tried doing it and photos of myself
- 37:27Speaker 3: and it looked terrible every time. So in thirty minutes
- 37:31Speaker 3: I had somebody on the internet do it and it
- 37:33Speaker 3: looked one hundred times better than I would have done it.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Yeah. So, and I have restored photos using AI and
- 37:42Speaker 2: I've been very pleased with the result. I am to it.
- 37:46Speaker 1: But I've also done the old school Walcom tablet photo restoration.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I took a photo of nineteen twelve of my stepfather
- 37:54Speaker 1: his family, well he was in the military, and fixed
- 37:57Speaker 1: the photo and it was great. The other day I
- 37:59Speaker 1: found that picture that I had corrected using Photoshop, and
- 38:02Speaker 1: I remember taking several weeks to do and I was thinking,
- 38:06Speaker 1: let's see how fast I can do it and how
- 38:08Speaker 1: accurate it is with AI. But I haven't done it yet. Hey,
- 38:11Speaker 1: we got to take another quick break.
- 38:13Speaker 2: We come back.
- 38:13Speaker 1: We've got more of tech talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor,
- 38:16Speaker 1: I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm justin.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Let me send us an X at tech talk Radio.
- 38:20Speaker 2: We'll be right back and now back to tech talk Radio.
- 38:24Speaker 3: So during the break, Andy asked me to read a
- 38:26Speaker 3: list of question and I'm going to read it.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Because I have the same problem. The question is from
- 38:32Speaker 4: Sharon in Green Valley.
- 38:33Speaker 3: She writes, once in a while, be online and some
- 38:36Speaker 3: of the people I see will post a scene from
- 38:38Speaker 3: a movie that looks really good. Takes me forever to
- 38:40Speaker 3: find out the name of the movie, and then I
- 38:41Speaker 3: fall down a rabbit hole looking for where I can
- 38:43Speaker 3: watch it.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Is there an easier way, Sharon, if you find it.
- 38:47Speaker 3: I want to know, because if I'm on YouTube shorts
- 38:51Speaker 3: and I see a movie I haven't seen, or I'm like, ooh,
- 38:54Speaker 3: I know that's an old movie, but I can't remember
- 38:56Speaker 3: the name of it, I don't know there is There
- 39:00Speaker 3: is a subreddit called.
- 39:02Speaker 4: The Tip of my Tongue which you can submit requests like.
- 39:07Speaker 3: This is the genre, this is an actor, this is
- 39:10Speaker 3: the scene, and somebody will immediately know what it is,
- 39:13Speaker 3: but that takes time and you never know what you're
- 39:16Speaker 3: gonna get back.
- 39:17Speaker 4: But I don't know. There's not a Shazam for movies.
- 39:22Speaker 1: No, so well, actually no, actually there is. IMDb Internet
- 39:28Speaker 1: Movie database is pretty good.
- 39:32Speaker 2: They're pretty accurate. All they're kind of accurate.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I interviewed Tony Curtis once and I remember asking him, so, Tony,
- 39:38Speaker 1: you were in this movie and he goes, no, He goes,
- 39:42Speaker 1: where'd you get that? And I told him IMDb and
- 39:44Speaker 1: he said they're always wrong. But I think they've fixed
- 39:47Speaker 1: it since then. But IMDb is owned by Amazon. What
- 39:51Speaker 1: you could do is you go in there, you type
- 39:53Speaker 1: the actor that you see in a movie, and it
- 39:56Speaker 1: may give you a list of the movies it shows
- 39:58Speaker 1: that they were in.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Have you guys ever heard, well, obviously you've heard of
- 40:04Speaker 2: six degrees of separation. Yeah, that's a famous like for lot.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I don't know what you call it, philosophy or whatever.
- 40:11Speaker 2: You know, everybody's related to each other within six degrees, right, yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 2: the whole Kevin Bacon one. Have you heard of the
- 40:19Speaker 2: seven six degrees of Kevin Bacon?
- 40:22Speaker 4: Yes?
- 40:22Speaker 2: I love it. So if you if you're listening to
- 40:26Speaker 2: this and you're like, what are you talking about. Kevin
- 40:28Speaker 2: Bacon is an actor, right. This is a famous internet
- 40:31Speaker 2: game where actually it was even before the Internet, where
- 40:36Speaker 2: you can name an actor right, and every single actor
- 40:42Speaker 2: you name can be connected to Kevin Bacon within within
- 40:47Speaker 2: six or seven steps. I think it's seven degrees, yes,
- 40:49Speaker 2: seven degrees with Kevin Bacon within seven steps, like for instance, oh,
- 40:53Speaker 2: George Clooney to uh somebody somebody, and then somebody to
- 40:59Speaker 2: somebody else, and then somebody was in this one and
- 41:01Speaker 2: that person was in this one with Kevin Bacon.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy because Eric Roberts is the actor with
- 41:07Speaker 1: the most amount of screen credits. He's also been on
- 41:09Speaker 1: this show before Tech Talk Radio. But no, it's true that,
- 41:13Speaker 1: but you would think, but it does work that way. Yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 1: most actors will find them. They've been in a movie,
- 41:19Speaker 1: even in a small part. They worked with somebody who
- 41:22Speaker 1: was one of the big stars in that movie and
- 41:24Speaker 1: they've got that credit.
- 41:25Speaker 4: Yeah. So it is called the six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Six degrees, and it's they repeatedly try to find the
- 41:32Speaker 3: shortest path that leads to the prolific actor named Kevin Bacon,
- 41:35Speaker 3: which is a reference to the six degrees of separation,
- 41:39Speaker 3: a concept that posts that two people on Earth are
- 41:43Speaker 3: six or fewer acquaintances links apart.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Is there? I wonder is there a website that will
- 41:48Speaker 2: just automatically connect you to Kevin Bacon. I bet you
- 41:51Speaker 2: there is.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I'm sure we should. We should Google search that one.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I also wanted to mention for sharing real good.
- 41:58Speaker 5: The oracle of bake dot org, the oracle of vacant God.
- 42:03Speaker 2: God, you're so fast with your Google.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Kevin Bacon two blank find the link.
- 42:08Speaker 2: You're kidding me? Right, wait, wait, do one in here?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Type in Kevin Bacon Doris because I worked out a
- 42:15Speaker 1: film with Doris Roberts. So put Doris Roberts in there
- 42:18Speaker 1: and see what comes comes up.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Doris Roberts. Yeah, she played. Uh if I'm on a
- 42:25Speaker 2: website called six D O B six degrees two links,
- 42:30Speaker 2: two links to Doris Roberts. You're kidding me.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Kevin Bacon was in Kevin Bacon was in the Big
- 42:35Speaker 3: Picture with Elliott Gold who was in Little Murders with
- 42:37Speaker 3: Doris Roberts.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so I'm three degrees of separation from Kevin
- 42:44Speaker 1: Bacon now right, Well, could I worked on that film
- 42:47Speaker 1: with Doris Roberts. No, you were, You have to be
- 42:49Speaker 1: in the film. It doesn't matter about the I'm in
- 42:52Speaker 1: it now a minute. It's called actor a documentary and
- 42:55Speaker 1: she's in it too, so I'm actually in it. I'm
- 42:59Speaker 1: in but I meant it and that doesn't count it.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I was animated, but ad it all right?
- 43:10Speaker 4: So I don't know.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Real Good r E E L G O O D.
- 43:15Speaker 1: I do like this site when you're looking for that
- 43:17Speaker 1: name of a movie, maybe you know who's in it. Uh,
- 43:20Speaker 1: you go to Real Good you can find out where
- 43:22Speaker 1: or when that movie is going to be playing. But
- 43:24Speaker 1: if you really want to find out more on the
- 43:26Speaker 1: movie itself, IMDb dot com. That's a really great one
- 43:30Speaker 1: to get information about, you know, about movies.
- 43:33Speaker 2: So that was a question from Sharon. So I just
- 43:37Speaker 2: typed in random on this on this six Degrees of
- 43:40Speaker 2: Bacon dot one. Yeah, I typed in Morgan Freeman, which
- 43:43Speaker 2: was probably a stupid, stupid one to put in easy
- 43:46Speaker 2: right one? What was it? What was he in with
- 43:50Speaker 2: Kevin Bacon? Morgan Freeman who was in the Eastwood Directs
- 43:53Speaker 2: The Untold Story with Kevin Bacon.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Okay, here's one. See if you can do this without
- 43:58Speaker 1: even looking?
- 43:59Speaker 2: Okay on John Belushie on Belushi? Okay, well, John Belushi
- 44:05Speaker 2: was in the Bruise Blues Brothers with with dan Aykroyd.
- 44:11Speaker 1: He was, But that's that's not the closest, well closest. Gimme,
- 44:15Speaker 1: can I can I work this out? Well, let's see
- 44:18Speaker 1: if you could do this here?
- 44:20Speaker 2: Help me here, it's it's you and me against him.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Uh, Kevin Bacon and John Belushy.
- 44:26Speaker 2: You link them together?
- 44:29Speaker 4: M oh man, I don't know.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I don't even know, going to give it up.
- 44:34Speaker 4: I'm trying trying to take the guy's name.
- 44:38Speaker 2: God, it's one. It's a one. It's a one off.
- 44:41Speaker 2: It's a one off. It is Animal House.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Animal House is correct, Kevin Bacon's first released film. And
- 44:48Speaker 1: then of course it was Friday at thirteenth. But yeah,
- 44:51Speaker 1: Kevin Bacon was in the Animal House.
- 44:53Speaker 2: He was an extra.
- 44:55Speaker 1: He was a soldier who gets flattened at the end
- 44:57Speaker 1: of the movie. If you remember where they go over
- 44:59Speaker 1: and he uh. And then he went to the screening
- 45:05Speaker 1: at Animal House and nobody recognized him. They didn't let
- 45:08Speaker 1: him in to the screening yet. In the back of
- 45:10Speaker 1: the theater with everybody else.
- 45:13Speaker 2: That's funny. So there's your one degree of separation. All right.
- 45:17Speaker 1: We had another question too, and I like this one
- 45:20Speaker 1: from Ryan. Uh, you guys have experienced with this. Is
- 45:23Speaker 1: it time to cut the cord? What should I consider
- 45:27Speaker 1: before getting out of Cock's cable? Not a slam on if.
- 45:30Speaker 4: You haven't cut the cord already, what are you waiting for?
- 45:34Speaker 2: Really? Yeah?
- 45:35Speaker 5: Seriously, I mean people, I mean change, you know, yeah,
- 45:39Speaker 5: but you're you're stuck with if you have cable or dish,
- 45:43Speaker 5: you're stuck with the agreements that Dish or your cable
- 45:48Speaker 5: provider have with your local news stations and they can.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Be like, nah, we want you to pay more to retransmit,
- 45:55Speaker 4: and you're out.
- 45:57Speaker 2: So, Sean, I understand what you're saying. Yes, that is
- 46:00Speaker 2: becoming more and more kind. But I have to interject here.
- 46:04Speaker 2: YouTube TV has done the exact same thing. If if
- 46:07Speaker 2: that's the route, I know, no, I know, I agree
- 46:09Speaker 2: with that, right, you're going YouTube TV is basically online cable.
- 46:14Speaker 2: If that's the route you're going. Now, if you're talking
- 46:16Speaker 2: about just Netflix paramount whatever, okay, fine, whatever, But if
- 46:20Speaker 2: you're talking about we should put a caveat. If you're
- 46:23Speaker 2: trying to go from standard cable to something like YouTube TV,
- 46:28Speaker 2: you're gonna have those exact same problems.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Correct, Okay, But if he wants to get away from
- 46:35Speaker 1: you know, maybe he's got uh, he's on Cox cable,
- 46:38Speaker 1: maybe he's got a fiber provider that could provide it,
- 46:41Speaker 1: and he wants to get it, but he doesn't want
- 46:43Speaker 1: to be paying for that those channels. You know they say,
- 46:47Speaker 1: out of two hundred channels, we only at the most
- 46:50Speaker 1: watch seventeen.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's it. Here's here's the thing back about
- 46:57Speaker 2: let's say, I don't know, ten years ago, everybody was
- 47:01Speaker 2: talking about ditching cable, cutting the cord. We're going streaming.
- 47:05Speaker 2: And now it's almost like we've come full circle because
- 47:11Speaker 2: we're coming back to like, okay, most people have Netflix,
- 47:15Speaker 2: Disney Plus, Hulu, Paramount, Peacock, AMC Calling Work for Andy's sake.
- 47:23Speaker 2: I mean, everything's got their own streaming service. So when
- 47:27Speaker 2: you add all those up, you're paying nineteen dollars here,
- 47:30Speaker 2: twelve dollars there, fifteen dollars here, nine ninety nine here.
- 47:35Speaker 2: You're paying the exact same amount or more for cable subscription.
- 47:41Speaker 2: So we've kind of come full circle now. Ten years
- 47:43Speaker 2: ago this would have made sense. You're like, wait, why
- 47:46Speaker 2: am I paying a two hundred and fifty bucks a
- 47:49Speaker 2: month for cable when I can do nineteen ninety nine
- 47:51Speaker 2: and have everything I want.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Netflix was for their lowest tier at that point was
- 47:56Speaker 3: around nine bucks a month.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, I remember that. And now their lowest
- 48:01Speaker 2: tier is nineteen thirty thirty two. It's ridiculous.
- 48:05Speaker 1: So is this why fast television, which is you know,
- 48:10Speaker 1: free ad support of television is becoming so popular with
- 48:13Speaker 1: people who buy Roku TVs or Roku devices because they're
- 48:18Speaker 1: you know, and then they.
- 48:20Speaker 4: You're never going to get ads unless you pay.
- 48:23Speaker 3: Yeah, no, even if you pay, say, even if you pay,
- 48:27Speaker 3: I mean some even if you pay, you still get ads.
- 48:29Speaker 2: I pay over one hundred dollars a month for YouTube
- 48:31Speaker 2: TV and I still have to watch ads.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I pay for Netflix. I get the ads on Netflix.
- 48:37Speaker 1: You know that's the same thing. But I mean, is
- 48:40Speaker 1: that because Roku is the the they say it's the
- 48:43Speaker 1: biggest streaming channel that's out there right now because it's free.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Basically if you've got a Roku TV or Roku device,
- 48:50Speaker 1: and fast television means it's free, but it's ads supported,
- 48:54Speaker 1: so you'd be watching if you feel like watch it
- 48:57Speaker 1: Bewitched or watching shows that they're saying they give to
- 49:00Speaker 1: Roku but there's ads in them.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Then they get that they get the money for the ads. Sure.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Yeah, A lot of times I like to watch a
- 49:09Speaker 3: show while I eat, whether it's lunch, lunch at work,
- 49:12Speaker 3: or lunch at home.
- 49:14Speaker 4: I'll sit down with my meal and I'll start a show.
- 49:17Speaker 3: If I have to sit through a two and a
- 49:19Speaker 3: half minute ad break, I'm moving to something else.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:24Speaker 3: I avoid Amazon Prime for that reason. Yeah, because I'm
- 49:30Speaker 3: don't know why I'm still paying for it. The only
- 49:32Speaker 3: thing I'm paying for is because you get better shipping
- 49:34Speaker 3: on stuff. But they're serving you ads on your video.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 49:40Speaker 3: It's annoying. I hate it. There's no way around it.
- 49:44Speaker 3: That's just the nature of television.
- 49:48Speaker 1: All Right, we got to take a quick break. We
- 49:50Speaker 1: come back. We've got more tech talk radio for you.
- 49:52Speaker 1: As we'll wrap up the show and we'll say farewell
- 49:54Speaker 1: to Justin. How long is it gonna be?
- 49:58Speaker 2: Good? Lord? Is this for a couple we It's not
- 50:00Speaker 2: like I'm going in forever.
- 50:02Speaker 1: And then we will put in our request for stuff
- 50:04Speaker 1: he has to bring back for us. That's more of
- 50:07Speaker 1: tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Seond Weird, and I'm justin leme Conchiwa. Wait no, that
- 50:13Speaker 2: means welcome, and now back to tech talk Radio.
- 50:17Speaker 5: Hi.
- 50:17Speaker 1: This is Stephen first Flounder from Animal House and here
- 50:20Speaker 1: from Babylon five.
- 50:22Speaker 2: And you're listening to tech Talk Radio.
- 50:24Speaker 1: All right, I gotta tell you I found a deal
- 50:27Speaker 1: while shopping. I feel like somebody on PVC. All right,
- 50:30Speaker 1: but here's the deal. I'm in Walmart the other day.
- 50:33Speaker 1: I know Walmart, right, you know, Walmart started getting in
- 50:37Speaker 1: Walmart getting into selling hardware, you know, for building your
- 50:44Speaker 1: own And I walked by their glass case and I
- 50:49Speaker 1: look and I did a double take. I got myself
- 50:53Speaker 1: and I'm showing it on the camera right now. The
- 50:55Speaker 1: Tough Gaming Z ninety PC building. I thought you were like, DIY,
- 51:00Speaker 1: like building your own house or something. No, no, no,
- 51:02Speaker 1: not that one yet. Plus Wi Fi I have. I
- 51:07Speaker 1: don't have the Tough gaming board. I have another one
- 51:09Speaker 1: of the Z seven nineties, this normally board. I have
- 51:13Speaker 1: seen it for two hundred and forty. I picked this
- 51:16Speaker 1: board up for one hundred dollars.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Rollback prices baby one hundred bucks for clearance unopened.
- 51:24Speaker 1: It's not a return for that motherboard.
- 51:27Speaker 2: And year was that released? I think it came out
- 51:30Speaker 2: two years ago. Okay, that could I could explain a
- 51:33Speaker 2: little bit.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and I got myself an I nine. This is
- 51:39Speaker 1: the fourteen nine hundred K until on I nine this
- 51:44Speaker 1: is marked down for four forty nine down to one
- 51:47Speaker 1: hundred and fifty bucks.
- 51:49Speaker 2: That's a that's a deal.
- 51:51Speaker 1: I couldn't I couldn't pass it up. Then I went
- 51:54Speaker 1: to go find some memory, and now I can't do anything,
- 51:59Speaker 1: of course, not no memories cutting through the roof. Now,
- 52:03Speaker 1: all right, Selan, you want to tell us really quick
- 52:06Speaker 1: about this.
- 52:07Speaker 3: This care so so last week at work, we got
- 52:10Speaker 3: an urgent cybersecurity notice from the IT Department saying Canvas
- 52:15Speaker 3: is down. Canvas is a online platform that is used
- 52:18Speaker 3: by teacher.
- 52:19Speaker 4: Students around the world. Approximately nine thousand or more institutions used.
- 52:25Speaker 3: It was completely out and this was during finals, and
- 52:30Speaker 3: the email said teachers and faculty should resort to using manual.
- 52:34Speaker 4: Methods to release grades and collect homework.
- 52:39Speaker 3: So can you only imagine during finals or during your
- 52:42Speaker 3: trying to get your grades in so you can determine
- 52:44Speaker 3: whether you're not going to graduate or just move on
- 52:47Speaker 3: or get it, get your final grade, so you know,
- 52:50Speaker 3: and the whole system is just down. A hacking group
- 52:53Speaker 3: called Shiny Hunters breached systems connected to Canvas.
- 52:56Speaker 4: Uh, it's an online land.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Like I said, it's an online learning platform connected to
- 53:00Speaker 3: thousands and thousands of schools. So I mean it was
- 53:04Speaker 3: relatively it was down for most of one day for us,
- 53:08Speaker 3: but some schools are either still down or haven't got
- 53:12Speaker 3: regained full access to their Canvas platforms. I mean, this
- 53:14Speaker 3: is not just universities, this is grade school systems. This
- 53:18Speaker 3: was colleges, other academic institutions. And it's just during the
- 53:24Speaker 3: literally the worst time good the good have well the
- 53:26Speaker 3: best time for them, I think, because I'm sure some
- 53:29Speaker 3: of these schools went, well, what's the ransom, We'll pay
- 53:32Speaker 3: it because you're you're, you're in finals and it's just
- 53:35Speaker 3: so disruptive, and so what do you do at that point? Right,
- 53:39Speaker 3: You're so in this. You don't have a backup plan
- 53:41Speaker 3: for posting stuff, do you? I mean I wouldn't if
- 53:45Speaker 3: I was relying on it. But this is again, the
- 53:48Speaker 3: whole everything's in the cloud and you're at risk. I
- 53:51Speaker 3: feel like every day there's a new This is hacked,
- 53:54Speaker 3: that's hacked, This is vulnerable, that's hacked, this is hacked.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Justice computers run in malware, Yeah, we got it.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Got to keep up on that definitely, and you know,
- 54:05Speaker 1: be careful of what you're clicking on and stuff with
- 54:07Speaker 1: in an organization. All right, So justin you're gonna be
- 54:10Speaker 1: out for a few weeks going to Japan. But he's
- 54:13Speaker 1: putting in request. I don't know what I would want.
- 54:16Speaker 2: You're not getting anything, nothing at all. I love you,
- 54:20Speaker 2: but you're not gonna dude, I have such a big
- 54:23Speaker 2: list of things that people want. Honestly, I was just
- 54:26Speaker 2: mentioning during the break, we're bringing four large suitcases with
- 54:29Speaker 2: us to Japan. Only one of them is going to
- 54:31Speaker 2: have anything in it, because when we come back, all
- 54:34Speaker 2: four of these large suitcases are going to be full
- 54:37Speaker 2: to the brim full of gifts and things like that. Wow,
- 54:40Speaker 2: that's not If I do happen to find something interesting
- 54:43Speaker 2: that might be small, I might be able to tuck
- 54:45Speaker 2: it away for you guys. But what will you do
- 54:48Speaker 2: is a favor though.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Take a couple of pictures that we post them on
- 54:50Speaker 1: our blog of Justin's travels.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Make them techy. Well, I'm gonna take some good pictures
- 54:55Speaker 2: with that new Tamaron lens for this sunny camera right here,
- 55:00Speaker 2: and I will send you some pictures of a couple
- 55:02Speaker 2: of places. We're gonna go to Osaka. We're also gonna
- 55:06Speaker 2: go to Hiroshima and see that, So I'll take some
- 55:09Speaker 2: pictures of that stuff and I'll send it to you.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Sounds good, all right. It wraps up this week TikTok Radio.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Have a great week. Sean will be back with us
- 55:16Speaker 1: next week. In the meantime, I'm Andy Taylor.

- 55:21Speaker 2: yourselves a great week. We'll see you next time.
