  are going to shake out. And then for me, what

  I do in my line of work, it means that

  I won't be there until the wee hours of the morning,

  so that's nice. One o'clock starts are great for everyone.

  But the Eagles are back on the practice field today,

  and today's not going to be a long podcast, just

  more of an update as to what's going on. I

  still have a number of quotes to transcribe from the

  locker room. I can tell you who I talk to,

  and we'll kind of just go from there. But we'll

  start with the injury report from today and not practicing.

  The only player who was listed as a non participant,

  and I didn't even see him when we were out

  there today was running back Will Shipley, who has an

  oblique injury but limited today. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter with

  the shoulder. It looked like an arm or a hem, sorry,

  a hand or a wrist in the game, but it
• 1:21
  turns out that he's working through a shoulder, tight end
• 1:24
  Dallas Goddard knee, and quarterback Tenor.

  Speaker 1: So we'll keep an eye on Will Shipley this week

  and see if he's able to go. I mean, it's

  very early, but my inclination tells me that he probably

  won't be able to go, but we'll have.

  Speaker 1: Spoke to Tank Bigsby today, who the Eagles acquired last week,

  and he had some interesting things to say, all good

  about learning the offense and his role on special teams.

  The Chiefs did not kick it to him, and he

  gave a really good answer that I'm gonna still have

  to transcribe, so apologies there about why the Eagles maybe

  feel so strongly that he can step in and fill

  that kick return void, if you will, despite always returning

  it eleven times in the NFL. But Will Shipley will

  have to keep an eye on his progress throughout the week.

  But Thursday, the Eagles are back on the practice field

  at two fifteen, and then of course the locker room

  after that, but the Eagles do get Dallas Goddard on

  the practice field today, which I thought was interesting. He

  of course missed Week two against the Chiefs with the
• 2:31
  knee injury, and he shed some light because he spoke
• 2:34
  in the locker room today and on his return he said,

  got out there again, felt really good. Still taking it
• 2:41
  day by day, but we'll see how it feels tomorrow.

  So it seems like a touch and go right there

  for Goddard. They're not going to push it, but it
• 2:47
  was great to see him back out there. Certainly encouraging
• 2:51
  to see if you're an Eagles fan. And he said

  that the knee injury happened in the opener. Well, the
• 2:58
  knee injury that happened in the opener occurred on his
• 3:01
  third down catch early in the second half. He took
• 3:04
  a shot to the outside of the knee. And then
• 3:06
  when asked about his availability or if he was feeling
• 3:10
  optimistic about his availability, he said, just taking it day

  by day. So that's something to certainly keep an eye on.

  Jaalen Carter with the shoulder, that'll be worth monitoring. You

  heard what Vic Vangeo said yesterday about him needing to

  round into better shape, But I thought that Jalen Carter

  making the impact that he did, playing eighty percent of

  the snaps is a positive development. To be sure, Tanner

  McKee was throwing. He still had the glove on his
• 3:40
  right hand, but he was throwing. He was inactive last
• 3:44
  week listed as the third quarterback. So we'll see if
• 3:48
  this is the week where he elevates into that number
• 3:50
  two role, which would essentially he be trading spots with
• 3:54
  Sam Howell, who has been stepping into that number.

  on will be Dallas Goddard. You saw the tight ends,

  Grant Kalkatara and Kylon Grantson. Kylon Granson had a really

  have much of an impact in the blocking game. Caught

  Kata as a receiver. I think he does a nice

  job and he's a trusted option for Jalen Hurts.
