- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are, last break of the day.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's been a good day, it's been a fun day.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Welcome back, Steve. You know we missed you time fishing
- 0:11Speaker 1: and such. What you got for us to close us out?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Well, you know, listen.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Just as a reminder to everybody who is on the journey,
- 0:24Speaker 3: who is trying to accomplish their dreams, goals and aspirations,
- 0:31Speaker 3: I want to fully remind you of something and I
- 0:34Speaker 3: want you to just understand that that is a part
- 0:37Speaker 3: of it. Prepare yourself to be uncomfortable. Just make ready
- 0:47Speaker 3: because getting what you want out of life, expecting to
- 0:51Speaker 3: accomplish what you want to accomplish in life, it's hard.
- 0:57Speaker 3: It's hard, and it is uncomfortable. So just prepare yourself
- 1:02Speaker 3: to be uncomfortable. I've known this about my life. Everything
- 1:08Speaker 3: I've ever wanted in my life was on the other
- 1:12Speaker 3: side of uncomfortable, and you got to go through it
- 1:17Speaker 3: to get to it. You have got to go through
- 1:20Speaker 3: it to get to it. Ain't nothing free.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Out here, y'all.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You already know it ain't no free lunch. And anytime
- 1:27Speaker 3: you see the word free, understand something. Now, there's gonna
- 1:31Speaker 3: be some type of cost factor. I remember back in
- 1:35Speaker 3: the day when they had free food in the hood.
- 1:37Speaker 3: They had free peanut butter, and they had free eggs,
- 1:41Speaker 3: free milk, and free cheese. Do you know how long
- 1:47Speaker 3: that line was? Do you know how much time you
- 1:50Speaker 3: had to spend in the coal standing in that line
- 1:54Speaker 3: to get them free eggs, that free peanut butter, that
- 1:58Speaker 3: free milk, and then free and that free cheese. So
- 2:01Speaker 3: it wasn't free because it cost you. Your time. Time
- 2:04Speaker 3: is everything, man, Time is of the essence. The two
- 2:08Speaker 3: most valuable things in your life is your health and
- 2:13Speaker 3: your time, because if you out of either one of those,
- 2:18Speaker 3: you're in a world of trouble. And so you know,
- 2:23Speaker 3: you just listen, prepare yourself to be ready for it
- 2:28Speaker 3: to be challenging and difficult. I have mastered the art
- 2:34Speaker 3: of being uncomfortable.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I don't like it, but I know it's part of
- 2:40Speaker 3: the process. I was talking to an old friend of
- 2:43Speaker 3: mine one day and we were sitting there talking about
- 2:45Speaker 3: the good old days, and we was laughing about a
- 2:48Speaker 3: bunch of stuff. And my boy said to me, hey 'all,
- 2:54Speaker 3: why you always take the hard road? Man? He said, Man,
- 2:59Speaker 3: I've known instead about you man, ever since we was
- 3:02Speaker 3: in college. Why you always take the hard road? Why
- 3:07Speaker 3: you don't ever take the easy road? I say, hey, man,
- 3:10Speaker 3: let me ask you something. What makes you think I
- 3:12Speaker 3: see two roads? Cause I don't. I just see that
- 3:16Speaker 3: away right there. I see that a way right there.
- 3:21Speaker 3: That's the way, he said. But it's always the hard way. Well, see,
- 3:27Speaker 3: it ain't nothing on the easy road. First of all,
- 3:30Speaker 3: it's crowded a lot of people on the easy road,
- 3:34Speaker 3: and that easy road don't usually lead to nothing.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Ain't no reward on it.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Ricky Minor, the great band director, he had a book
- 3:42Speaker 3: out with the best title I've ever heard. He said,
- 3:45Speaker 3: ain't no traffic on the extra mile. If you are
- 3:49Speaker 3: willing to go the extra mile, ain't no traffic wide open.
- 3:53Speaker 3: You can get out there and do donuts in your car.
- 3:55Speaker 3: You can speed. They ain't got no speed traps. Ain't
- 3:58Speaker 3: nobody out there. You can driving whatever lane you want to.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I have just never picked the easy road. I don't
- 4:05Speaker 3: see it. I don't even see the easy road. I
- 4:10Speaker 3: see the hard road only because I know in order
- 4:13Speaker 3: to get to it, I'm gonna have to go through it.
- 4:17Speaker 3: That everything I've ever wanted in my life has been
- 4:20Speaker 3: on the other side of comfortable. Quit trying to pick
- 4:23Speaker 3: the easy road. Quick money, quick man, You know what,
- 4:27Speaker 3: quick money gonna get you in some trouble.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's what it's gonna do. Fast money. Keep on it.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Don't work.
- 4:35Speaker 3: That ain't had a workman, It's not set up that way. Now,
- 4:39Speaker 3: I'm not saying you can never hit something and it
- 4:41Speaker 3: make you some money quickly.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Well, but let me see you do it again.
- 4:46Speaker 3: See you can't look up and hit it one time
- 4:49Speaker 3: and expect that to be the process. Pardon you just
- 4:52Speaker 3: can't keep lucking up. Now You're gonna have to develop
- 4:54Speaker 3: a discipline and a skill set at something so that
- 4:58Speaker 3: your success can be repetitive. And if you want to
- 5:02Speaker 3: be repetitive, you gotta get disciplined. And you got to
- 5:06Speaker 3: be willing to go through it to get to it.
- 5:09Speaker 3: It's hard. You have got to be willing to be uncomfortable.
- 5:15Speaker 3: But it's okay. When you get through it and you
- 5:18Speaker 3: get to it and you finally get it, it's going
- 5:21Speaker 3: to be worth it. But then, guess what, you got
- 5:24Speaker 3: to put that vests on in that helmet and get
- 5:26Speaker 3: ready to get uncomfortable again because you gonna want some
- 5:28Speaker 3: more and you have to want more.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Don't sit up in your life and get content.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Now.
- 5:35Speaker 3: I didn't say don't get up in your life and
- 5:36Speaker 3: don't become grateful. I said don't get in your life
- 5:39Speaker 3: and get content, because if you try to rest on
- 5:41Speaker 3: your laurels and just sit on what you have, you
- 5:45Speaker 3: ain't gonna have it long. The Bible says a man
- 5:48Speaker 3: without a dream or vision shall perish. You got to
- 5:51Speaker 3: keep dreaming. You got to keep having visions. Don't sit
- 5:54Speaker 3: up there and put no timetable on God and put
- 5:57Speaker 3: no limits on God. When I don't retire, for me
- 6:00Speaker 3: to do no more, Yeah, it is something for you
- 6:02Speaker 3: to do some more. You just quit wanting more. You
- 6:05Speaker 3: thought because you got the retirement that was it. Now man,
- 6:09Speaker 3: it's some more to it. You're still living. You gotta
- 6:13Speaker 3: still be dreaming. Got still have visions. Prepare yourself to
- 6:18Speaker 3: be uncomfortable, everybody, because everything you want is on the
- 6:21Speaker 3: other side of uncomfortable.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Y'all. Have y'allself a great day to day.
- 6:25Speaker 3: And the most important thing I can leave you with
- 6:27Speaker 3: is don't forget to talk to God today. He would
- 6:30Speaker 3: absolutely love to hear from for all.
