- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah, his favorite guest, favorite guests. I have to be
- 0:10Speaker 2: the most favorite wrestling guest you have.
- 0:11Speaker 3: For sure, you definitely have that. He's like, first of all,
- 0:16Speaker 3: you're out here in the studio, you were working with
- 0:18Speaker 3: Max b.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I wasn't. That was in New York.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Oh that was in New York.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that was in New York.
- 0:23Speaker 1: So what's what's First of all, I saw him yesterday.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I saw him on stage at Versus and he was
- 0:28Speaker 1: given the unk just got out of prison energy like
- 0:32Speaker 1: a motherfucker.
- 0:33Speaker 3: He was looking at girls in the crowd, flicker and
- 0:35Speaker 3: his tongue and I was like, what is going on?
- 0:37Speaker 2: I didn't get to see. I just saw the clips
- 0:39Speaker 2: of it. I was on a flight during the whole thing.
- 0:41Speaker 3: How was that like getting in the studio with him for.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Like, first of all, like I didn't even know he was,
- 0:47Speaker 2: Like I was in his radar like that. I got
- 0:50Speaker 2: kept getting tagged on Twitter when like he was doing
- 0:52Speaker 2: the interview from prison. Yeah, and he's like, I'm you know,
- 0:55Speaker 2: I'm swerving out here in the streets, man, Swerve Strickland.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I'm like the hell's he know who I am? Right?
- 0:59Speaker 2: So like that kind of got popped and got everything
- 1:02Speaker 2: going on in social space. And then like as soon
- 1:04Speaker 2: as he's out, like that same interview started like swirling again.
- 1:09Speaker 2: And then so my girl Rosie was just like walking
- 1:12Speaker 2: through the airport. She was about to fly to Orlando,
- 1:15Speaker 2: and she's like, I think I see Max b over there.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna say what's up? And I'm on
- 1:19Speaker 2: FaceTime and she's just like, He's like, Yo, swerve, what's good? Yo?
- 1:23Speaker 2: When we gonna make something happen? Was I'm like, I'm
- 1:25Speaker 2: on you whenever your time, your time, And so he
- 1:29Speaker 2: was coming back from vacation. I got back from vacation.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I was like, we blocked it out with our teams,
- 1:35Speaker 2: locked out a weekend to make it happen up in
- 1:37Speaker 2: New York. And sure enough he was. He was on
- 1:39Speaker 2: time too, punctual.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Was he was?
- 1:42Speaker 2: He watching the show in jail? I believe, So, yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 2: that's the only way he could have you about. Yeah,
- 1:48Speaker 2: I don't know, but he was.
- 1:49Speaker 3: He was.
- 1:50Speaker 2: He was tapped in. He's like like, I like the talkers, man,
- 1:52Speaker 2: I like the ship talkers. I love the people that talk.
- 1:55Speaker 2: They ship Man. Of course, y'all get down, y'all get
- 1:58Speaker 2: down in the ring over there. But I liked the
- 2:00Speaker 2: ship Talkers, so yeah, it was. It was awesome, like
- 2:03Speaker 2: great energy. We was in the studio all day, but
- 2:06Speaker 2: like he did like three hours, did.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Two tracks with me fire. Yeah. Are you you're still independent?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Ye? You're running in yep, But I'm under I'm right now.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I'm working with principal group principal shout out Sean. Yeah, Sean,
- 2:19Speaker 2: he's been. He was responsible for working on the project
- 2:22Speaker 2: with Jay Z on American Gangster Album and stuff, so
- 2:26Speaker 2: we're working together with him. He's like very motivating and
- 2:31Speaker 2: very inspiring because like he's not gonna waste his time
- 2:34Speaker 2: on just anybody in the studio. He's like blocking out
- 2:37Speaker 2: days and hours of like studio time, and I'm like,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I'm there, I'm on time, working, I'm writing, I'm putting
- 2:45Speaker 2: stuff together, and i think we're doing really well together.
- 2:48Speaker 2: That's where the ray kwan uh stup setup came from,
- 2:54Speaker 2: because it's they're working with mass Appeal. Yeah. So Sean's
- 2:58Speaker 2: working with mass Appeal. Yeah and Boom all these partnerships
- 3:02Speaker 2: and all that stuff for the Mob Deep thing. The
- 3:03Speaker 2: day Lost Soul Records.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Does that like cause you're you're pretty new to rapping
- 3:08Speaker 1: still like six seven years. I'm saying like, if you
- 3:12Speaker 1: know you're getting on a song with Ray Kwan, do
- 3:13Speaker 1: you get like nervous?
- 3:15Speaker 2: So I was talking about like like I wrote my
- 3:19Speaker 2: verse right in front of them and wrapped it. I
- 3:21Speaker 2: was I did. I laid all my vocals first, and
- 3:25Speaker 2: like from all the years of like me getting on
- 3:27Speaker 2: records with like Mickey FATX, John Connors and Benny the Butchers.
- 3:31Speaker 2: These are like lyrical bitters, you know, like that kind
- 3:34Speaker 2: of strengthened me and built my confidence to be able
- 3:36Speaker 2: to like all right, I'm ready to go boom right
- 3:38Speaker 2: and stuff you know, like like Benny like bun Bees
- 3:42Speaker 2: and west Side. You know, I got like really ready
- 3:46Speaker 2: for these moments. So now when I'm in the studio
- 3:49Speaker 2: like like oh yeah, I'm ready, I'm ready, Yeah, record,
- 3:53Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 3:53Speaker 3: What has been going on? You haven't been on TV recently?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah? I just got back like two weeks ago. Okay,
- 3:59Speaker 2: like a couple it's like a couple of promo packages.
- 4:01Speaker 3: You took, you took some time off.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, it was like it was like not long.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it feels like the a W heat is on.
- 4:12Speaker 1: It's it's it's hot right now.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 3: It is a great alternative product to the status quo
- 4:18Speaker 3: that has been less than appealing recently.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But it's it's interesting because like there's the pocket of
- 4:25Speaker 2: people that it doesn't that they're ripping into shreds. They're
- 4:30Speaker 2: like criticizing it every every which way. But then there's
- 4:33Speaker 2: like the large masses that still follow it religiously.
- 4:36Speaker 1: My wife, I took my wife to the Crypto uh
- 4:40Speaker 1: PI review that you you wrestle?
- 4:42Speaker 3: Who'd you wrestled?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Again?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Yeah? And my wife she is not a wrestling fan.
- 4:48Speaker 2: She retarded.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Like she me and my kids be watching it on
- 4:52Speaker 1: Mondays and Wednesday.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Locked in and she's like, I don't what the fuck
- 4:56Speaker 3: are you guys watching?
- 4:57Speaker 2: She was in it.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, man, believe some of the ship that was
- 5:03Speaker 4: happening this this shows I love, especially pay per view
- 5:08Speaker 4: times TV's too, But.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But I feel like he shows, like the Dynamite shows
- 5:13Speaker 1: be like little mini pay per views.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like but like pay per views, I like
- 5:17Speaker 2: not knowing anything. I love being feeling like that, like
- 5:21Speaker 2: what the fuck is happening? I love especially when Darby's
- 5:24Speaker 2: on the card. Oh shit, okay, you don't Yeah, you
- 5:28Speaker 2: don't know what you're gonna get. There's certain guys that
- 5:30Speaker 2: you like Moxley, you don't know what you're gonna get
- 5:32Speaker 2: with a Moxley match. Ospra you don't know how elevated
- 5:36Speaker 2: he's going to take a match, you know, or Tequshta's
- 5:38Speaker 2: and Kyle Fletcher. I'm like, all right, you know Kyle's
- 5:42Speaker 2: has such a structure now you know, like, oh, they're
- 5:45Speaker 2: just warming up. You know it's about to start going now.
- 5:49Speaker 2: You added Champa to the mix with these guys. He's
- 5:51Speaker 2: a madman in himself. All So, like, I love not knowing.
- 5:57Speaker 2: So when I watch the show and I'm like, no,
- 5:58Speaker 2: don't tell me nothing, I don't want to watch.
- 6:01Speaker 3: So if you're not a part of what's going on.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I still want to watch.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want to know what's happening.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I still don't want to know. But yeah, like, uh,
- 6:11Speaker 2: it's it's definitely giving different flavors of many different ice creams,
- 6:16Speaker 2: many different Like it's not even like different ice cream
- 6:19Speaker 2: You're you're getting different ice cream shops. You're getting this
- 6:23Speaker 2: is Ben and Jerry's different This is like basking robins,
- 6:27Speaker 2: This is like dairy queen. You're getting is so now
- 6:30Speaker 2: like what you're getting from both wrestling. Actually, I wouldn't
- 6:33Speaker 2: say both. I say alla and there. I'll throw TNA
- 6:36Speaker 2: in there, I'll throw MLW in there. You're getting like
- 6:40Speaker 2: like some you're getting gelato. Now you're getting like like
- 6:45Speaker 2: you're getting so much like you're doting Ben and Jerry's.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You're getting all these different things. So it's not a
- 6:50Speaker 2: sub of a sub of I saw.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I saw the meltzer dude describe it pretty accurately. He
- 6:56Speaker 1: was like, both of these things are totally different. They're
- 7:01Speaker 1: both wrestling, but they're totally separate and you can enjoy
- 7:05Speaker 1: both of them for their own reasons.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yeah, So it's really unfair to not only just like
- 7:11Speaker 2: the wrestling landscape, it's unfair to yourself to go out
- 7:16Speaker 2: on the internet and criticize one product and when you're
- 7:20Speaker 2: in your criticisms, you're bringing in another product in comparing
- 7:24Speaker 2: it to I'm like, you know you can't do that.
- 7:26Speaker 3: You can't compare them.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Your criticisms are now Nolan void because now you're basing
- 7:31Speaker 2: it off of something else. You can't compare like the
- 7:35Speaker 2: ninety six Bulls to the Golden State Warriors of twenty fifteen.
- 7:38Speaker 2: You can't do it. Stop, it's already done. You can't
- 7:43Speaker 2: do it, so that already takes you out of the
- 7:46Speaker 2: fan base. Is like, I can like the Warriors for
- 7:49Speaker 2: being the Warriors. I can like the Bulls for being
- 7:51Speaker 2: the Bulls, but you can't, like.
- 7:53Speaker 3: If you're a basketball fan, you could have appreciated the
- 7:56Speaker 3: Showtime Lakers and the Bad Boy Pistons for different reasons.
- 7:59Speaker 2: For very different region.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I they're both playing.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care what's better. I know
- 8:05Speaker 2: they both won, and they both won in THEIRS in
- 8:09Speaker 2: their respective ways and their respective eras and the respective
- 8:13Speaker 2: styles of the game. And right now AW and ww
- 8:18Speaker 2: are both winning in their respective ways and the respective
- 8:21Speaker 2: styles and the respective eras and genres of the way
- 8:24Speaker 2: they do it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Do you feel like, because you know what what kind
- 8:29Speaker 1: of sucks is there's this TNA WWE thing going that which.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I don't really have much information or anything I was
- 8:37Speaker 2: going to say was.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Like it felt like the AW like hard launch was
- 8:43Speaker 1: pretty combative towards WWE, and I feel like it kind
- 8:46Speaker 1: of has removed any possibility from like there ever being
- 8:50Speaker 1: any sort of you know, just like a some sort
- 8:54Speaker 1: of you know, I think about like there's got to
- 8:57Speaker 1: be some sort of storyline in the future with in
- 9:00Speaker 1: Roman where we're like, fuck, John Moxley should pop out,
- 9:03Speaker 1: you know, but it's not possible.
- 9:04Speaker 2: It's not possible, you.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Know, and so and like I even saw like I'm
- 9:07Speaker 1: sure you know obviously, you know, but for people who
- 9:10Speaker 1: don't know, there was the shows many a weekend. Oh yeah,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and there were TNA and AW Talent that were booked,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and TNA yanked their talent away from those matches.
- 9:22Speaker 3: That were with AW Talent.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So even before that, I was like, how's this going
- 9:26Speaker 2: to work? And I was like, I was talking to Rickyche,
- 9:28Speaker 2: I was like, are both parties Like.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Does everybody know what's going on?
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah? Like I was, I was. I was like yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 2: I was just confirming, like everybody cool on this. I
- 9:37Speaker 2: was like, as far as I know, we're good. And
- 9:39Speaker 2: I was like all right, And then the Ziggler one,
- 9:43Speaker 2: the Memath one came up. I was like like for
- 9:49Speaker 2: the fan base, great, for the wrestling, awesome. I just
- 9:52Speaker 2: don't know backstage, the politics, I don't know. Yeah, the
- 9:55Speaker 2: management side of these things. I don't know how far
- 9:57Speaker 2: that's going to get pushed all the way up the
- 9:59Speaker 2: chain till some body comes down. And that's why card
- 10:02Speaker 2: subject to change is always on these flyers, because you
- 10:06Speaker 2: don't know how far it is going to go until
- 10:07Speaker 2: somebody just comes down and just like nah, noa no. Like.
- 10:10Speaker 2: So I don't like it's unfortunate, but that's just the
- 10:16Speaker 2: reality of what was going to happen.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It's just you're as big as you've been in over
- 10:23Speaker 1: ten years.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, so you don't want to jeopardize that.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that symbiotic relationship with like, you know, Trick Williams
- 10:29Speaker 1: holding the TNA title did so much.
- 10:30Speaker 2: For TNA, Yes, sir, and it did. It did good
- 10:33Speaker 2: for Trick on und you don't know how a guy
- 10:37Speaker 2: is going to be in the main event if you've
- 10:38Speaker 2: never seen him in the main event's scenarios, you know,
- 10:42Speaker 2: And so it was good to put like Trick in
- 10:45Speaker 2: that situation to look feel have the responsibility of being
- 10:52Speaker 2: a main event guy in performing like a main event
- 10:55Speaker 2: like and ring competitor. So like, I think that helped
- 11:00Speaker 2: TNA's perception, and that was doing the same thing with
- 11:03Speaker 2: Mike Santana right now, Mike's shot out. Mike Santana's incredible,
- 11:06Speaker 2: Like they're putting them out there to be perceived and
- 11:10Speaker 2: like pushed, and now we see Mike differently now, Like
- 11:13Speaker 2: the wrestling industry is all manipulative. All of this is
- 11:16Speaker 2: we got to manipulate the audience to believe what we're
- 11:18Speaker 2: trying to present to them and promote to them. So
- 11:22Speaker 2: that's what this is. So it's like, yes, like this
- 11:24Speaker 2: is a really good Like they don't know until they
- 11:27Speaker 2: see him seeing his believing.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Hey, man, don't forget odd Socks Basics. The only thing that's.
- 11:32Speaker 1: On my feet, man, are the odd socks baby, all right,
- 11:35Speaker 1: And what I love about odd socks. First of all,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I don't want to say any other socks by name,
- 11:40Speaker 1: but if you're just throwing on, you know, the good
- 11:43Speaker 1: old generic.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Tube socks with shorts. So whatever it.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Is ankle socks, you ain't gonna find anything more comfortable
- 11:51Speaker 1: than these odd Socks Basics or more affordable. That's right.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Get a pack like this for nine ninety nine odd
- 11:59Speaker 1: socks dot Com use the promo code Bootleg. Not only
- 12:02Speaker 1: do they got the basics on lock, of course, they
- 12:04Speaker 1: have all your favorite license products.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe a little Budweiser, maybe a little
- 12:09Speaker 2: Attack on Titan. You know what, they just locked in
- 12:11Speaker 2: the liquid Death.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Can we also give a shout out they just locked
- 12:15Speaker 1: in one piece. I'm waiting for my guy Obese to
- 12:17Speaker 1: send me some one.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Piece stuff Colt forty five. How about some warheads? Uh? Yeah?
- 12:23Speaker 2: Hello.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Odd Socks dot Com used the promo code bootleg save
- 12:26Speaker 1: twenty percent off. And trust me, the most comfortable socks
- 12:30Speaker 1: in the world are these odd Socks Basics. I literally
- 12:33Speaker 1: have not worn anything else on my feet in five years.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Swear to God, odd Socks. My son hoops in them.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Everybody's rocking with the odd Socks Basics. So it makes
- 12:44Speaker 1: you get you a pack and thank me later. Odd
- 12:46Speaker 1: Socks dot Com used the promo code bootleg save twenty
- 12:48Speaker 1: percent off of checkout. I saw you post yesterday, kind
- 12:54Speaker 1: of like a collage.
- 12:55Speaker 3: If you will of I think it was Oba.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I'll be still in post. I won't make that shit.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Whatever it is, it feels like outside of you know,
- 13:03Speaker 1: we'll touch on Kofe and Xavier getting read in a
- 13:06Speaker 1: little bit, but in terms of black wrestlers being at
- 13:11Speaker 1: the forefront, of Oh yeah, the business period.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Oh yeah, this I feel like is like a special
- 13:20Speaker 3: golden era.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah. And what I love, nobody's like the other.
- 13:26Speaker 2: They're all different, different. Everybody is their own entity, their
- 13:31Speaker 2: own genre. Nobody's following the same stereotype as the other.
- 13:35Speaker 2: You get. That's the ice cream flavors. You're getting two,
- 13:38Speaker 2: You're getting blends of different guys and like, and I'm
- 13:43Speaker 2: just happy and fortunately to be like maybe maybe like responsible,
- 13:48Speaker 2: not responsible, but like I have an integration of like
- 13:51Speaker 2: maybe two of those guys, like a Carmelo because I
- 13:54Speaker 2: was the first I dropped the North American title to
- 13:56Speaker 2: Carmelo Hayes, you know. And then Kevin Night.
- 14:00Speaker 3: You know, he's so good.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Man, he's all like and like I said, like his
- 14:05Speaker 2: first real like singles main event was with me and Dynamite,
- 14:09Speaker 2: you know, this year. So he just now he's.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Wednesday Night, right, Yeah, I just want Derby.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Yeah. So now like he's now you see the perception
- 14:19Speaker 2: of Malodef differently. Now we know, oh that's the main event,
- 14:22Speaker 2: or we can put him in the main events, and
- 14:24Speaker 2: that's how it starts.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Now I feel like he's the kind of guy too
- 14:27Speaker 1: that like if you don't know anything about wrestling, and
- 14:30Speaker 1: you just turn him on, you'd be like, yo, what this.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Guy's just watch him.
- 14:34Speaker 3: This guy's crazy's incredible.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Just watch him. And he's stylishly.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Tn T yeah tn T title Yeah, he's.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Stylishly smooth too, like like Javon's different from like Kevin
- 14:49Speaker 2: in a sense too of like he's the young yan
- 14:54Speaker 2: energy like he's like it's cools, like people are mistaken, like, oh,
- 14:59Speaker 2: smile to just happy like.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Yeah he's twenty one.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah, he is a woe to be happy. That's the
- 15:06Speaker 2: kind of energy you want to see from a young
- 15:07Speaker 2: twenty one year old, like athletic kid living out his dream.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Because he's living out his dream vicariously through other twenty
- 15:14Speaker 2: year olds, twenty one year olds. That's like, man, he's
- 15:17Speaker 2: doing all this at twenty one. It maybe it inspires
- 15:20Speaker 2: the next twenty one year old or the next seventeen
- 15:22Speaker 2: eighteen year old to be like I want to like
- 15:25Speaker 2: I want to be like that because it's like remember
- 15:28Speaker 2: bow Wow when he was hot at thirteen.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean when I interviewed him, I was like, dude,
- 15:31Speaker 1: So when he's like I got into wrestling school at
- 15:33Speaker 1: thirteen yeah, that's yeh.
- 15:35Speaker 2: But but like bow Wow was like on top of
- 15:37Speaker 2: the rap game at thirteen, fourteen fifteen, Yeah, that made
- 15:41Speaker 2: other fifteen year old kids want to start rapping at
- 15:43Speaker 2: twelve and thirteen stuff. So it's the same type of
- 15:45Speaker 2: effect I see with Javan. You know, Oba like showing
- 15:50Speaker 2: peak like strength and like power like cool running. I
- 15:55Speaker 2: see power, I see pride, I see a bad mother.
- 15:58Speaker 2: That's Oba. Like.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I think they got to fast forward the OPA thing.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I don't think they got to overthink it. I think
- 16:04Speaker 1: I think he is ready to be.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I met Oba at the gym and I said, if
- 16:10Speaker 2: I had the pen, your debut would be winning that belt.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I was close because his debut was against Cody for
- 16:18Speaker 2: the belt. And he was like, how did you do this? Man?
- 16:21Speaker 2: I was like, I just call the house, see it's you, bro.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Bro, I just think whatever this. I think the Open
- 16:27Speaker 1: Challenge ship is cool. But I'm like, bro, he just
- 16:29Speaker 1: needs to show up.
- 16:30Speaker 2: We want to see him. We want to see him. Big.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Perception is everything. May put him in the main events.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Perception is everything. People will buy it, but you got
- 16:39Speaker 2: they got to see it. The same with Broun and
- 16:41Speaker 2: not even just Black wrestlers see the same as Broun Breaker,
- 16:43Speaker 2: like perception is everything. Put him in the main events.
- 16:46Speaker 2: People will buy into it. The more you do it,
- 16:49Speaker 2: they'll perceive it and they'll.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Because at the end of the day, if you book
- 16:53Speaker 3: somebody as.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Help or That's why I think it was probably like
- 16:59Speaker 1: a gift in a gift low key that like Seth
- 17:02Speaker 1: got hurt because it kind of sped up like yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 1: you know, and it's like if if you know someone's
- 17:07Speaker 1: got it, like, don't overthink it, because then the fans
- 17:11Speaker 1: get stale on them. That's why I thought that what
- 17:13Speaker 1: they did with Trick was super smart. I'm like, they
- 17:15Speaker 1: did Trick and O, but I feel like I wish they.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Would have did the same thing with Mellow immediately, because
- 17:19Speaker 3: when Mellow came over, if they would have just pushed
- 17:21Speaker 3: him in, it's like the fans already familiar with this guy.
- 17:23Speaker 2: He checks out like yeah, it's gonna be it's gonna
- 17:27Speaker 2: be tricky. Like Shawn Michaels was he just did the
- 17:31Speaker 2: interview or whatever it was. I just re reading it
- 17:33Speaker 2: his prompts or whatever he was saying, like he said
- 17:36Speaker 2: the same thing to me. He's like, guys, like us.
- 17:38Speaker 2: He said the same thing to Mellow in his interview.
- 17:40Speaker 2: He was like, it's like, we gotta work a little
- 17:42Speaker 2: harder to.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Get to he said, because the best doesn't always finish
- 17:45Speaker 3: number one.
- 17:45Speaker 2: To finish one, Yeah, we're the ones that were too
- 17:48Speaker 2: talented to We'll always succeeded, but we got to take
- 17:51Speaker 2: the long road. And I'm like, that's my career, real ship. Yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 2: it's like Mellow is going to be that guy that's like, Okay,
- 17:58Speaker 2: everybody's getting there now, He's gonna have to come around
- 18:01Speaker 2: later on and then meet those guys Boom.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I want to know you've you did a pretty good
- 18:06Speaker 1: job of incorporating celebrity stuff into your stuff at aw Yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 1: Ross and bow Wow stuff too, right, I.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Never did it was that's right, that's right, that's right.
- 18:18Speaker 2: But I remember Rick Ross came out with you. What
- 18:22Speaker 2: are your thoughts on like just the celebrity involvement and
- 18:25Speaker 2: how do you because this isn't I always tell people
- 18:28Speaker 2: like celebrities being involved in wrestling is not new, it's
- 18:30Speaker 2: just it's kind of how it got into like pop culture.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Mister t you know, Oh, but I wonder like your
- 18:37Speaker 2: thoughts on like finding the balance walking the rope, the
- 18:40Speaker 2: tight rope where you're like, you know, before it becomes
- 18:43Speaker 2: too much and so so it has to be organic
- 18:47Speaker 2: one uh like And and I'll say another thing. It
- 18:53Speaker 2: has to has to go both ways too. If we
- 18:55Speaker 2: invent you into our world, we get you got to
- 18:57Speaker 2: invite us into ours. Like like when Bad Bunny came over,
- 19:01Speaker 2: he had Damian Priest going to the Latin Music Awards
- 19:05Speaker 2: presenting with him and stuff like that. I was like, Okay, cool,
- 19:07Speaker 2: that's a great trade. So now it's swing the pendulum,
- 19:09Speaker 2: swing in both ways, you know. So it has to
- 19:12Speaker 2: That's how it feels organic. It's like, oh, we're not
- 19:15Speaker 2: just like doing this for media appearances and stuff like that.
- 19:17Speaker 2: It has to feel right. And it's also about the fans.
- 19:22Speaker 2: If they connect to it, they'll tell you when they
- 19:24Speaker 2: don't like something. I'll saying this before, I was like,
- 19:26Speaker 2: it's like babies crying. They're like crying, Like, eh, wow,
- 19:30Speaker 2: why are they crying? You got to figure out why
- 19:32Speaker 2: is it crying? Why is it complaining? And you figure
- 19:35Speaker 2: out the elements. I'm like, oh, it's not crying. Okay,
- 19:37Speaker 2: it needed a hug, all right, Okay, it needed is
- 19:39Speaker 2: diaper change. All right, it needs fed. But if like
- 19:42Speaker 2: it's still crying, all right, it's not that wasn't it.
- 19:44Speaker 2: That wasn't the remedy. So you got to keep figuring
- 19:47Speaker 2: out those things. And it's just feeling what the like,
- 19:51Speaker 2: like the fans took to YACHTI.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Yeah, because he wasn't doing too much. He did a
- 19:55Speaker 3: great job.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Fans took to YACHTI. So like, okay, that's stuck. That
- 19:58Speaker 2: that's the remedy. Now I think like.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Initially last year, like the fans they took to the
- 20:04Speaker 1: Jelly Roll thing.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, like last year, that was the right amount of Yeah,
- 20:07Speaker 2: they gave you right amounts of it, right, you know
- 20:09Speaker 2: what I mean. So it's a remedy. But now now
- 20:11Speaker 2: the baby's starting to cry again, and you know, but
- 20:14Speaker 2: it's not crying with though. Yeah. Pretty im pretty I'm.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Pretty comfortable in saying this because I think jelly wanted
- 20:20Speaker 1: his story because you let me know, because I'm really
- 20:24Speaker 1: close to Jelly Roll. Yeah uh, And like what was this?
- 20:28Speaker 1: He was very self aware of.
- 20:34Speaker 2: He he that that that he was being pushed into
- 20:37Speaker 2: a storyline that he probably didn't need to be pushed into,
- 20:40Speaker 2: and he was pushing him. He was being very vocal
- 20:43Speaker 2: about wanting to be involved in a storyline that is
- 20:48Speaker 2: still playing out currently. Uh, that was more comedic, and
- 20:53Speaker 2: he was like, guys, if you put me into this thing,
- 20:57Speaker 2: I promise you it's gonna cook.
- 20:58Speaker 3: It's gonna fuck.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And I was there at SmackDown in Phoenix and I
- 21:05Speaker 1: heard him having these convos with certain people at WWE
- 21:08Speaker 1: and they still decided to And like, if you're him,
- 21:12Speaker 1: You're like, hey, man, if you're gonna push me into
- 21:14Speaker 1: the main event at WrestleMania, I'm not gonna say no,
- 21:17Speaker 1: but I don't think people are gonna.
- 21:20Speaker 3: And then to me, it wasn't even him so much
- 21:22Speaker 3: that like the McAfee thing was like it was just weird.
- 21:27Speaker 3: It just made no sense.
- 21:29Speaker 1: You had the guy like Randy on the phone talk
- 21:32Speaker 1: about it more than one family and w and I'm like,
- 21:35Speaker 1: is it gonna be Teddybiassi Junior.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I just didn't get the McAfee thing.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I think the McAfee thing kind of blew up the
- 21:42Speaker 1: narrative of like the celebrity shit being too much because
- 21:45Speaker 1: the McAfee thing was like, Bro, Randy and Cody haven't
- 21:48Speaker 1: even cut a promo on each other yet I know,
- 21:51Speaker 1: and that first night at SmackDown when he when he
- 21:53Speaker 1: flipped and beat the shit out of Cody.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I was there front row and Jelly got involved and
- 21:58Speaker 3: like because he was in the building, it was they
- 22:00Speaker 3: caught the ark, right, you know, he didn't.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Catch Rko then, but but that the fans were in.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm like, that's how you create a main event. You
- 22:09Speaker 1: turn Randy heel and he's got blood on the title.
- 22:13Speaker 2: And it wasn't it wasn't difficult, it wasn't too crazy,
- 22:15Speaker 2: it wasn't too over like it's the it's.
- 22:17Speaker 1: The you don't have to reinvent the wheel. It's almost
- 22:20Speaker 1: like the punk Roman thing was just old school. There
- 22:24Speaker 1: was no antics involved and it was just.
- 22:26Speaker 2: The family, just the families that motherfuckers just talked ship
- 22:30Speaker 2: about and then guess what that Guess how it ended.
- 22:32Speaker 2: They wrestled all time all time Wrestlmania match. I think
- 22:35Speaker 2: I think it's the top five for sure. Top five.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that shi it was.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I want to that's what we're like, Like you could
- 22:44Speaker 2: tell like Punk worked hard. No, he got himself in
- 22:49Speaker 2: hard for that, like to prepare for it and then
- 22:52Speaker 2: to perform. He worked hard and That's where I feel like,
- 22:57Speaker 2: that's why it's like like Roman's Roman was going to
- 23:00Speaker 2: be Yeah, he's an alien, but like I feel like
- 23:02Speaker 2: Punk worked hard for that and that's why I got
- 23:04Speaker 2: the reception did Yeah, And like I feel like just
- 23:07Speaker 2: the storytelling where like he tried to hit him with
- 23:08Speaker 2: one more GTS and you know, he got called old
- 23:12Speaker 2: and he fell.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Out, and I was like, oh, this is the best
- 23:15Speaker 3: it gets. You are friends with Kofi and Xavier.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot of obviously for people who don't
- 23:26Speaker 1: know that, there's a lot of cuts from WWE. They
- 23:28Speaker 1: were the I would say the headline of the cuts, well,
- 23:30Speaker 1: I guess they decided.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I wouldn't even call them a cut. They were like.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Yeah when they got hit with whatever the new stipulations
- 23:36Speaker 1: where they're like, we'd rather.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Just go yeah they know, which I'm honestly happy because
- 23:41Speaker 2: that that still shows how their value they They they
- 23:47Speaker 2: could say no and they still can walk out like
- 23:51Speaker 2: you know what I mean, They're not leaving like looking.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Like not you know no, I mean look, one of
- 23:55Speaker 1: the greatest tag teams of all time. New Day is
- 23:57Speaker 1: one of the best factions ever. There's a lot of speculation.
- 24:03Speaker 1: A lot of fans want to see them end up
- 24:04Speaker 1: in AW.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there's a lot of rustlers. I want to
- 24:07Speaker 2: see them in AW.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Have you had any conversations with them since.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I talked to him the same day, you know, like
- 24:15Speaker 2: Covie took like another day to get back to me.
- 24:17Speaker 2: But like they're in the high spirits, They're motivated, they're happy.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I feel like they have the ball in their court,
- 24:24Speaker 2: which is what they always wanted. They have their ball
- 24:26Speaker 2: in the court, and they honestly feel like they can
- 24:32Speaker 2: control their own narrative. And Xavier's really good at that. Yes,
- 24:36Speaker 2: Xavier is really good at controlling the narrative. Kofe is
- 24:42Speaker 2: walking free agent the first time in his whole career.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Yeah, he's been there, I think eights.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Eighteen years first time in his whole career, which he
- 24:51Speaker 2: was a he was a Hall of Famer like five
- 24:53Speaker 2: years five six years ago, five six years ago. He
- 24:58Speaker 2: was a Hall of Famer then. And then add the
- 25:01Speaker 2: world title match on top of that. He's the he's
- 25:03Speaker 2: the only black wrestler to ever win the world title
- 25:07Speaker 2: at Mania. He's the only one that's something that he
- 25:12Speaker 2: can't take that you can't take away from him. You can't.
- 25:15Speaker 2: You can't. Never had any negative press on him, never
- 25:19Speaker 2: had any issues, never any like suspensions, never finds, never
- 25:25Speaker 2: any of this. So he's walking out a role model
- 25:29Speaker 2: to a whole generation of kids. There's like I was
- 25:32Speaker 2: saying this before, like there's an archetype around Kofe. Oh
- 25:36Speaker 2: that's the koffee spot, that's the you get to do
- 25:38Speaker 2: the kofee moment in Mania, the koffee rumble spot in
- 25:43Speaker 2: the in money in the bank that you get the koffee.
- 25:45Speaker 3: There's an archetype all these crazy spots, every whatever.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Like it was almost like you were waiting, like all right,
- 25:51Speaker 1: how's he going to not get eliminated this year?
- 25:53Speaker 2: Like I said, he inspired me to try to like
- 25:56Speaker 2: not recreate but had like like his koffee with something.
- 26:00Speaker 2: It's like, man, I would I would hope in my
- 26:02Speaker 2: care I can do something close to something similar like
- 26:05Speaker 2: that and that like I was able to win the
- 26:07Speaker 2: world title, you know, a dynasty in twenty twenty four.
- 26:10Speaker 2: But it's like, man, I feel like this some of
- 26:14Speaker 2: this has to go to Kofe because it's like once
- 26:18Speaker 2: again manipulation, seeing is believing this doesn't is impossible unless
- 26:21Speaker 2: you see Kofe doing this first for the world to
- 26:25Speaker 2: see that it is possible, you know.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I saw it's influence some tweets going around that we're saying,
- 26:30Speaker 1: obviously there's a lot of great black wrestlers all time,
- 26:33Speaker 1: but that he's the greatest black wrestler ever.
- 26:36Speaker 2: It's a it's argument to be had.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I feel like it's, you know, obviously that Mark Henry
- 26:41Speaker 1: got him. There's you know, but he's like you said,
- 26:44Speaker 1: and I think like too, Like I don't know, man,
- 26:46Speaker 1: I don't know if anybody's like like, every once in
- 26:49Speaker 1: a while you'll see some shit get over with the
- 26:50Speaker 1: fans like that, like the way the New Days. It's
- 26:52Speaker 1: like Dan Housen's like New Day right now.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Yeah, the bootyos D Cereal Cereal. They were in Gears
- 27:00Speaker 2: of War the video game. They were like some of
- 27:03Speaker 2: the best en Ring World champions out of that faction.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I feel like they were doing.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Like the way they do the theme the themes with
- 27:12Speaker 1: their costumes is like kind of like what you do,
- 27:13Speaker 1: Like we will come out and.
- 27:14Speaker 3: You'll be like, oh, this is a twer the Creator
- 27:16Speaker 3: theme or the Predator, Yeah whatever.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I was just saying that I was like, yeah, they
- 27:19Speaker 2: made it okay to be yourself. Yeah, they're like, you know,
- 27:22Speaker 2: take who you are, Like they say the black nerd like,
- 27:26Speaker 2: uh fandom, that's a real subculture in anime and all
- 27:30Speaker 2: that stuff, and like, you know, so they're the ones
- 27:32Speaker 2: that like put that out there, like no, we like pancakes,
- 27:35Speaker 2: we like freaking dragon ball Z, we like a street fighter.
- 27:39Speaker 2: We dressed like this, we like this. I'm like, yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 2: that's cool. I like that. I feel cool to express
- 27:45Speaker 2: myself like that too. And he was showing like our culture,
- 27:48Speaker 2: that's okay, that's a good thing.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Then versus the young bucks would go crazy. Man, we
- 27:53Speaker 3: go crazy.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Let me say, I already got that conversation started. I
- 27:59Speaker 2: already got that crazy that I'm like. And then it'll
- 28:04Speaker 2: be like, first like, this is the two greatest tag
- 28:08Speaker 2: teams of of a generation. Yeah, I think you got
- 28:12Speaker 2: you gotta just you gotta respect, you gotta respect the
- 28:14Speaker 2: Husso's in there too, Husso's Hussos. I feel like usso's
- 28:18Speaker 2: are more catered towards FTR.
- 28:20Speaker 3: That's fair, that's fair.
- 28:21Speaker 2: I've always felt like that.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I just feel like they carried the division for a
- 28:26Speaker 1: chunk of a time and they've always something. I mean,
- 28:31Speaker 1: they're still both relevant and obviously you go into this
- 28:33Speaker 1: solo stuff, but I definitely think there's like those three
- 28:36Speaker 1: or four in the last.
- 28:38Speaker 2: You know, but the new day, I feel like they
- 28:40Speaker 2: they were. Man, that'll be crazy though, So I want
- 28:44Speaker 2: to talk to you, Uh, what are your thoughts.
- 28:48Speaker 1: On aw potentially not having a TV deal and going
- 28:56Speaker 1: to YouTube because I saw that headline that when he said, hey,
- 29:00Speaker 1: we might have YouTube as the backup plan.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, what are your thoughts on? I feel like like
- 29:07Speaker 2: having this discussion four years ago maybe would have concerned
- 29:13Speaker 2: me a little bit more. But after t N T
- 29:15Speaker 2: TBS and.
- 29:16Speaker 3: A triple a's on YouTube.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly right. And but like after the success of
- 29:24Speaker 2: like HBO Max and everything like that, No.
- 29:27Speaker 1: It made dude, HBO Max made it possible for me
- 29:29Speaker 1: to watch every week exactly.
- 29:30Speaker 2: After all these things, all the like the levels that
- 29:32Speaker 2: we keep jumping and all that stuff, I wouldn't be concerned.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I feel like Tony's made such great connections with all
- 29:39Speaker 2: the higher ups. I feel like we've gotten incredible praise
- 29:45Speaker 2: and support with like wbd DC and all these things
- 29:49Speaker 2: that there is a market for all the wrestling and
- 29:53Speaker 2: professional wrestling under the Paramount brand, you know when that
- 29:57Speaker 2: happens and stuff. So I feel like TK is very
- 30:02Speaker 2: three steps ahead on that, and I like those were
- 30:06Speaker 2: one of those things that you just gotta trust. Like
- 30:07Speaker 2: what we do like this is we gotta trust like
- 30:11Speaker 2: who we are, we gotta trust where TKO's mindset for this,
- 30:15Speaker 2: like that has grown exponentially in the last seven months,
- 30:18Speaker 2: seven years of doing this. The reputation that precedes us
- 30:24Speaker 2: and all of EA wrestling and it's all about what
- 30:28Speaker 2: the fans want is I feel like this is something
- 30:30Speaker 2: about the fans can really be the support system behind that,
- 30:37Speaker 2: and the more vocal they are and the more like
- 30:40Speaker 2: they come to these shows and the more like that's
- 30:42Speaker 2: what drives these TV deals to like really like, okay,
- 30:45Speaker 2: this is a slam dunk now. So and it's like
- 30:48Speaker 2: I saw a report like a twelve to sixteen months out.
- 30:50Speaker 3: I'm like, that's a that's a long time.
- 30:52Speaker 2: No pulled some shit in like three months.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Well, I think they were speculating that like TKO's relationship
- 30:59Speaker 1: with Paramount and obviously there's all this like everyone's getting
- 31:03Speaker 1: consolidated by the Ellison.
- 31:06Speaker 3: So I don't know. I just I just wonder, like.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I've heard that he's has a solid like t k
- 31:11Speaker 2: has a solid relationship with Elison.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Do you feel like.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Tony Khan's pettiness has hurt him at all? Because I
- 31:19Speaker 1: was at the store, the only NFL team that didn't
- 31:24Speaker 1: have a belt.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Was the Jaguars. Petty motherfucker?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Has it hurt him? M M? I don't think so, because,
- 31:35Speaker 2: like I think there was things that like that were
- 31:38Speaker 2: being said on TV years ago that were way worse,
- 31:45Speaker 2: way more I would say if we would have said
- 31:47Speaker 2: that in the position where are now way more damaging.
- 31:50Speaker 2: For sure, Yeah, but also there's these things that people
- 31:54Speaker 2: don't forget. And but to say he's like the pettiness
- 32:02Speaker 2: has hurt him, I don't believe so. I don't believe so,
- 32:06Speaker 2: because there's always going to be a need for someone
- 32:11Speaker 2: like a Tony conn in disposition that's always going to
- 32:13Speaker 2: be like that's always there's always going to be a
- 32:16Speaker 2: need for that. We don't know the people, the deep
- 32:20Speaker 2: people that are behind Ellison that Tony's like those You
- 32:25Speaker 2: don't know how deep these relationships really go. That's a
- 32:29Speaker 2: circle of money that like that that goes beyond Twitter
- 32:33Speaker 2: discussion that goes beyond like a newspaper ad that goes
- 32:37Speaker 2: beyond like even talking on CNN, Like you don't know
- 32:43Speaker 2: like how deep these relationships can go back, because there's
- 32:45Speaker 2: always something that Tony can offer, something that can just
- 32:50Speaker 2: like hm, hm, you know what, whatever issues or pettiness
- 32:54Speaker 2: we've had before, we can be in that. That doesn't matter.
- 32:57Speaker 2: We can continue business with this.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I wanted to ask because I was, uh, you know,
- 33:03Speaker 1: I feel like sometimes we'll see people get booked in
- 33:05Speaker 1: ways that have long term ramifications and and and one
- 33:11Speaker 1: of the examples I can think of is I'm watching
- 33:14Speaker 1: this Adam Hangman Page m jf Uh yeah, I don't
- 33:20Speaker 1: know about that in l A and uh, what do
- 33:23Speaker 1: you'all call it?
- 33:24Speaker 2: Texas Deathmatch? Yeah, I mean it is. It was crazy.
- 33:27Speaker 2: It was a man, it was wild.
- 33:30Speaker 3: But the stipulation was that Hangman Page can no longer
- 33:34Speaker 3: pursue the belt ever. Again.
- 33:37Speaker 2: It helps me out, But I'm just wondering, like, Hangman
- 33:41Speaker 2: Page is one of the faces of the company, and
- 33:45Speaker 2: does that kind of like hinder one of the biggest
- 33:49Speaker 2: faces of the company.
- 33:51Speaker 5: Theoretically, Yeah, because now you can never be in the
- 33:55Speaker 5: title is the same thing that happened with Cody, so
- 34:00Speaker 5: keeps that kind of like lore alive in the aw
- 34:04Speaker 5: zeitgeist of this whole thing that's happened in the day.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's honestly what makes Hangman's story that much more.
- 34:20Speaker 2: You have to pay more attention to you know what
- 34:23Speaker 2: I mean. It's now It's not just like because I'll
- 34:28Speaker 2: say this wrestling fans, we got to decide what we're
- 34:32Speaker 2: valuing more when we're watching characters or stories or matches.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Are we valuing booking more? Are we valuing story? So
- 34:42Speaker 2: what I mean by that is sometimes to tell a
- 34:45Speaker 2: great story, you have to sacrifice good booking to tell
- 34:48Speaker 2: a great story to pay off later on. That's like,
- 34:52Speaker 2: that's that would be like if you're watching a movie like, oh,
- 34:57Speaker 2: the hero always saves the girl, Well the girl dies
- 35:00Speaker 2: thirty minutes in what what That's not good writing? That's
- 35:04Speaker 2: not good writing. I'm like, well, the story's not finished.
- 35:08Speaker 2: So if you sacrifice that and then the story plays
- 35:10Speaker 2: out in the end the way the story was properly
- 35:14Speaker 2: supposed to be written, and you get a great finish,
- 35:16Speaker 2: or it doesn't. Even nowadays, I wouldn't even say movies.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I would say series is Now because now characters are
- 35:22Speaker 2: coming back season three or season four for sure in
- 35:25Speaker 2: series is Now, and so that character comes back season
- 35:28Speaker 2: four whatever. That finishes the story. So you got to
- 35:31Speaker 2: sacrifice sometimes good booking or good structurally writing like cinema
- 35:37Speaker 2: and stuff to tell the good story. And fans are
- 35:39Speaker 2: clashing with that. That's like the same thing of like
- 35:41Speaker 2: what's more important? Promos are wrestling? Well, you need both,
- 35:44Speaker 2: you need both, you need both, but sometimes you gotta
- 35:46Speaker 2: sacrifice a good match to tell a good have a
- 35:49Speaker 2: good promo. Sometimes you got to go the other way around. Yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 2: So right now we're sacrificing booking for the long term
- 35:58Speaker 2: story of Hangman page and how that being written? I
- 36:00Speaker 2: don't know. How would I do it? I don't know
- 36:03Speaker 2: because it's not my story. How would how?
- 36:06Speaker 3: How?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Like would you? What is it smart to do this? Well?
- 36:09Speaker 2: Probably not theoretically, no, Like structurally it's no. I wouldn't
- 36:13Speaker 2: do it. That's dumb. We've seen that happen before and
- 36:16Speaker 2: it wouldn't work out. But once again, this isn't our story.
- 36:21Speaker 2: So like you have to sacrifice good bookings sometimes to
- 36:27Speaker 2: ultimately finish out the good story and character art for
- 36:30Speaker 2: certain characters. Sometimes it's an exception. There's an exception to
- 36:33Speaker 2: the rule. This might Hangman Page so many times has
- 36:37Speaker 2: been the exception to the rule in AW countless times,
- 36:42Speaker 2: especially with like dark Order and lower and like being
- 36:45Speaker 2: the cowboy in the stadium stampede and the drinking and
- 36:49Speaker 2: then me and him like.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Drinking blood off your face.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Exception to the rule. You know, He's like I got
- 36:59Speaker 2: cheered for entering his house where the exception and burning
- 37:02Speaker 2: my house down. There's exceptions hang in Page throughout all
- 37:05Speaker 2: of AW history has always been an exception to the rule.
- 37:10Speaker 2: And so I feel like, coming on on the other
- 37:12Speaker 2: side of that, he's gonna still be that exception to
- 37:15Speaker 2: the rule. Me and him being a tag team was
- 37:18Speaker 2: the exception to the rule of how structurally booking heels
- 37:22Speaker 2: and babyfaces are supposed to go. But we I play
- 37:25Speaker 2: into a lot of exceptions to the rule in a
- 37:28Speaker 2: lot of ways too.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Do you enjoy because I feel like you're kind of
- 37:31Speaker 1: always a tweener in terms of whether you're a or
- 37:34Speaker 1: a bad guy, Like you very much like walk the line,
- 37:36Speaker 1: you know, But do you which side of the coin
- 37:39Speaker 1: do you enjoy being on?
- 37:40Speaker 3: More? Being a heel or being a babyface.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Whatever tells the best story.
- 37:44Speaker 3: But like you, you gotta kind of like there's not like.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Okay to me. I don't have that side. I have motive.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I have motive that takes me where I go, and
- 37:54Speaker 2: my motive tells you what I'm about, and you'll feel
- 37:58Speaker 2: that like me and Kenny was, guess what my motive is.
- 38:02Speaker 3: You're a bad guy?
- 38:03Speaker 2: Yeah, because I feel like that I should have cooked
- 38:06Speaker 2: longer though Nay.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I feel like that's one thing about aw.
- 38:11Speaker 1: They be getting in and out of shit too quick,
- 38:12Speaker 1: so I'd be like, wait a minute, this is like
- 38:15Speaker 1: a two week thing.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Hey, sacrifice, good booking.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Hey man, Raffi Law Group newest sponsor the blootleg Cap podcast.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Want to give some love to that man. I just
- 38:26Speaker 1: was in Arizona, just did.
- 38:27Speaker 3: A photo shoot. Show some of those photos.
- 38:29Speaker 1: While I'm talking, man, you already know I'm not only
- 38:33Speaker 1: an endorser of Raffi, I'm also a client.
- 38:37Speaker 3: That's right.
- 38:37Speaker 1: My wife got into a fender bender and Raffi took
- 38:39Speaker 1: care of her exponentially.
- 38:41Speaker 3: It was so easy.
- 38:42Speaker 1: And when I tell you, man, if you get into
- 38:44Speaker 1: an accident, maybe a little injury situation. There's only one
- 38:47Speaker 1: guy I trust, one law group I trust. It's Raffi
- 38:51Speaker 1: Law Group called six two three three eight eight forty
- 38:54Speaker 1: three thirty three. Whether it's a car accident, a personal
- 38:57Speaker 1: injury situation, whatever the case is, they alleviate all of
- 39:01Speaker 1: the stress. They've helped over seventy thousand people in AZ.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Now.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Look, I know you're driving around. You see the billboards everywhere.
- 39:08Speaker 1: You're like, Ah, is this guy just like another one
- 39:09Speaker 1: of these billboard lawyers.
- 39:10Speaker 3: No.
- 39:11Speaker 1: The amount of care, the amount of attention to detail
- 39:14Speaker 1: that they do everything with, it's the best. One more time,
- 39:17Speaker 1: if you need help, you gotta call Raffi, just like
- 39:20Speaker 1: I did when my wife got into an accident. Asy,
- 39:23Speaker 1: you gotta trust Raffi man, all Right, they're the best.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Raffi log Group, the newest sponsor of the Bootleg cap podcast.
- 39:29Speaker 1: One more time, don't forget to save the number. Call
- 39:32Speaker 1: Raffi if you get into an accident. Six two three
- 39:35Speaker 1: three eight eight forty three thirty three.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Let's get back to the podcast.
- 39:41Speaker 1: You were saying that if you aren't a part of
- 39:44Speaker 1: the show, you're just watching it as a fan, you
- 39:46Speaker 1: don't want to know what's going on. Yeah, so you
- 39:49Speaker 1: see MJF drop his belt to Darby Allen. This was
- 39:52Speaker 1: the talk of the business. Everybody was like, what the fuck.
- 39:57Speaker 3: MJF is on a run.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Aw, he feels like it's so hot and he's you
- 40:04Speaker 1: know the guy.
- 40:06Speaker 3: What is your reaction, just because I'm sure you don't
- 40:09Speaker 3: feel like that, you know that was happening.
- 40:10Speaker 2: No, No, I feel like there could have been more
- 40:13Speaker 2: done for Darby for that moment.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Me personally, Yeah, Like it was almost so out of
- 40:19Speaker 1: nowhere that like it was like it didn't I mean,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I think they do.
- 40:23Speaker 2: I feel here's the thing. I feel like it anchored
- 40:26Speaker 2: Darby a little bit too much because we're also watching
- 40:31Speaker 2: MJF go forty six minutes and the Texas Deathmatch. We're
- 40:34Speaker 2: also watching him go thirty eight minutes with Kenny Omega.
- 40:37Speaker 2: And you know, I'm not saying Darby's not qualified to
- 40:40Speaker 2: compete with that, but you got to make Darby qualified
- 40:43Speaker 2: to compete like that, And I feel like they didn't
- 40:45Speaker 2: do him a favor with that. But Darby is so
- 40:47Speaker 2: talented that now his run is making.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Up for it. It's been great.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Yeah, because he's so talented.
- 40:55Speaker 1: He's like dangling the carrot and like the new thing
- 40:57Speaker 1: is like you're gonna have to shave your head.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I don't I don't think people care about his hair
- 41:01Speaker 2: like that, but whatever, but it's once again, it's I
- 41:05Speaker 2: think Darby is just so undeniably talented. He can make
- 41:09Speaker 2: everything feel more important, like he like he just had
- 41:13Speaker 2: he just killed it with Kevin Knight and I was
- 41:14Speaker 2: about to go this Saturday, I guess pack which is
- 41:16Speaker 2: in Wednesday, possibly against Okada. So like who's set in
- 41:21Speaker 2: his their schedules up to go like that on TV.
- 41:24Speaker 2: He's that he's just so undeniably talented that you can't like,
- 41:29Speaker 2: you can't like it's undeniable.
- 41:32Speaker 3: You take crazy bumps all the time in your matches.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Not all the time, but a lot of times. You
- 41:38Speaker 1: take some crazy ship. That dude does it.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Every time every time. Yeah, my car, my card is
- 41:44Speaker 2: way more stamped, like because of the longevity of it,
- 41:48Speaker 2: Like I took scaffold bumps and falls and stuff, you know,
- 41:52Speaker 2: back in CZW. You know. But Darby he always feels
- 41:56Speaker 2: like he had a he had he had a real
- 42:00Speaker 2: good realization. And I was like, I didn't think about
- 42:02Speaker 2: but only in the Darby's type way. Would you ever
- 42:04Speaker 2: think about this? All these guys are going to do
- 42:07Speaker 2: all this crazy ship on the pay per views. I
- 42:09Speaker 2: gotta get this ship out on TV.
- 42:11Speaker 3: So I was like on Wednesday, Yeah, you know what,
- 42:15Speaker 3: You're right right.
- 42:16Speaker 2: So still it gets to this pay per views where
- 42:18Speaker 2: all the crazy shit is really going to happen all night.
- 42:21Speaker 2: He's going to get it every week. So I'm like, Okay,
- 42:24Speaker 2: what are.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Your thoughts Because you have a guy like Dan Housen
- 42:27Speaker 1: who was at AW and didn't wrestle.
- 42:29Speaker 3: I don't think he ever wrestled at AW.
- 42:30Speaker 2: I think he's had a Battle Royal and he had
- 42:32Speaker 2: another match or something.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Like that to see him go to and he's been
- 42:37Speaker 1: killing I remember I first met him when we were
- 42:39Speaker 1: at Comic Con.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he was, he was signing. I think I met him.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I was with you, Yeah, I think so, because he
- 42:46Speaker 2: had I never really had a relationship with him. I
- 42:48Speaker 2: didn't really like, I didn't have any ill will I
- 42:50Speaker 2: guess him or anything like that. But it's just never
- 42:53Speaker 2: we never really clicked.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Like I wonder what your thoughts is.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Just seeing somebody who is like an indies guy, indie
- 42:58Speaker 1: guy who's kind of created this thing and it's been
- 43:01Speaker 1: a thing, and it's it's working at a level that
- 43:03Speaker 1: like I don't think anybody saw him.
- 43:05Speaker 2: I just don't like it's it's so happy for him.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I just don't want them to burn him out so
- 43:09Speaker 2: quick before the year is over.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I think they are doing that.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, I'm like, no, you got to cherish
- 43:14Speaker 2: this whole lot of Dan House. Yeah, it's a lot
- 43:16Speaker 2: and both shows. Yeah, So like he's busy. He is busy,
- 43:18Speaker 2: he's moving, he's at the he's at the headquarters, he's
- 43:20Speaker 2: at Missus House, he's a SmackDown, he's with stephen A. Smith.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I'm like, there's a lot of Dan housing, and congrats
- 43:28Speaker 2: to him. You shouldn't say no to all those opportunities.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Take them. But man, I want to see these opportunities
- 43:33Speaker 2: still happening in five years, three years, next year. I
- 43:36Speaker 2: want to see these opportunities still happening for you in growing,
- 43:39Speaker 2: you know. I like I want him to be a
- 43:41Speaker 2: meme that you can pop in on, like you know,
- 43:43Speaker 2: like he's already happening, but like, no, he's a mean Yeah,
- 43:46Speaker 2: he's always been one, but like but it's it's like
- 43:49Speaker 2: now it's a different level. I want to I want
- 43:51Speaker 2: I want to like cherish that rather than just be
- 43:53Speaker 2: like a flash. And he owns all his trademarks smart man,
- 43:56Speaker 2: which is awesome, but like he found he found the
- 43:59Speaker 2: flavor of ice crea that it works with the fans
- 44:01Speaker 2: are consuming very well. When the best wrestling experience I've
- 44:07Speaker 2: ever had was watching the anarchy in the Arena last Yeah,
- 44:10Speaker 2: that was that was a concert of the concert match,
- 44:13Speaker 2: one of the craziest.
- 44:14Speaker 1: I mean, that is the craziest wrestling event. I mean
- 44:16Speaker 1: it was that and then WrestleMania forty Uh, you know
- 44:19Speaker 1: the Avengers end.
- 44:20Speaker 2: After us you got hang Man and well.
- 44:24Speaker 1: But but I don't think you understand Anarchon and the Arena.
- 44:27Speaker 1: I didn't watch I never saw it on TV, but
- 44:29Speaker 1: I was.
- 44:30Speaker 3: In the building.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah, when you guys are getting ready to do that match,
- 44:35Speaker 1: because the amount of craziness and like insane on point
- 44:40Speaker 1: spots people were hitting simultaneously all over the place. Yeah,
- 44:44Speaker 1: while Drowning Pool is playing. I mean, because how how
- 44:50Speaker 1: how much of that to you guys? Like obviously everybody
- 44:52Speaker 1: has to go over their matches beforehand. Do you guys
- 44:54Speaker 1: meet up and figure out like what's that meeting with prior.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, like you walk around the arena and say,
- 44:59Speaker 1: who I like, I like this?
- 45:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah. So honestly, we only had one meeting that
- 45:05Speaker 2: was the night before and while the rain is empty,
- 45:09Speaker 2: and like we're just kind of like painting the picture.
- 45:13Speaker 2: First off, the bucks they hate. The year before that
- 45:17Speaker 2: was like twenty four. Yeah, that was in Vegas where
- 45:20Speaker 2: Darby sent wasn't name of fire, so they said putting
- 45:24Speaker 2: that together was a nightmare. And it's West Coast time,
- 45:28Speaker 2: so you got like this kind of window for the people.
- 45:31Speaker 2: They start put letting people in the doors, so you
- 45:33Speaker 2: can't really like, let me go see I think camp
- 45:37Speaker 2: doors are open, fans are here. I'm like, so now
- 45:39Speaker 2: you gotta wing it. So hopefully what you had you
- 45:42Speaker 2: thought of is still there. If it's not, I don't
- 45:45Speaker 2: know what you do. So they like Matt was like,
- 45:49Speaker 2: I promise I'll never do one of these again. I'll
- 45:51Speaker 2: never do one of these matches again. And then when
- 45:54Speaker 2: we started our story and everything, we started getting there
- 45:56Speaker 2: and we started getting closer to it. We saw all
- 45:58Speaker 2: the elements we had at play as far as like
- 46:00Speaker 2: people in the match, it was like, I think we
- 46:03Speaker 2: could do something cool. Here we have a chance, like
- 46:05Speaker 2: especially adding and Willow and Marina to really switch up
- 46:08Speaker 2: the dynamics. I'm like, oh, we can have some real fun.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Then Kenny got involved in Moxley and Joe. Then you
- 46:13Speaker 2: had Hobbs coming in like you had. I'm like, we
- 46:16Speaker 2: got a lot of great like elements, and then Shabata.
- 46:21Speaker 2: It was so we had so many real cool like
- 46:24Speaker 2: because it was just like spots, we had characters to
- 46:27Speaker 2: really play with and like, we have a lot of
- 46:29Speaker 2: characters and mixed stories we can really mix up and
- 46:32Speaker 2: have fun with. And I think that's where like, that's
- 46:35Speaker 2: honestly where I felt like the shift in a w
- 46:38Speaker 2: we got that momentum back. It was after that match
- 46:41Speaker 2: because everybody was so unselfish. Everybody's like Moxley I was
- 46:44Speaker 2: like hey Max, can you take Staples, Like yeah yeah.
- 46:49Speaker 2: From Marina, I was like okay, cool, And I was
- 46:51Speaker 2: like Matt was like, hey, Willa pick me up for
- 46:53Speaker 2: the tombstone. We'll do the thing. And then like Claul,
- 46:56Speaker 2: he was like yeah, get me on this. Joe's like yeah,
- 46:57Speaker 2: I'll take this. Kenny was like yeah, I'll take this
- 47:00Speaker 2: dump into the table.
- 47:01Speaker 3: And your idea to take the staple in your tongue.
- 47:04Speaker 3: That's how you pay off in the spot.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Yeah, does it hurt because you kept it in for
- 47:08Speaker 1: a while. It's on stage and the tongue it was
- 47:11Speaker 1: still in there.
- 47:12Speaker 3: So it's I.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Don't, I don't think about it, just do it so
- 47:17Speaker 2: before I forget and think that I don't want to do.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Still, and then you had, you had all the fun
- 47:23Speaker 3: you had yours come out when you disappeared, when you
- 47:30Speaker 3: disappeared and came back with the fork lin and you
- 47:32Speaker 3: jumped down like the dark Knight.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Yeah dog, oh my god, that's what I'm saying. It's
- 47:39Speaker 2: like then like Willow got her ear keep pad locked
- 47:43Speaker 2: into a chain on the steps, so the cramp crowds
- 47:46Speaker 2: were chating, please help Willow, Please help Willow. So it's
- 47:50Speaker 2: like we had so many elements and ideas to play with.
- 47:54Speaker 2: It became fun. And then everybody was so unselfish. Nobody
- 47:57Speaker 2: felt like I don't I'll look stupid or I'm too
- 48:00Speaker 2: like a character, like oh, that's gonna kill my. Everybody
- 48:03Speaker 2: was like, let's just go, and we all were laughing,
- 48:06Speaker 2: putting it together. We were cracking jokes. Moxley was so
- 48:09Speaker 2: loose and just having fun, like there's the Moxley we love.
- 48:14Speaker 2: There's like it's like everybody was like, we're back to
- 48:17Speaker 2: our friends and brothers. And the girls weren't nervous. They
- 48:20Speaker 2: were like ready. They were actually like cause when you
- 48:23Speaker 2: put the intergender sometimes like it can be nerve wrecking
- 48:26Speaker 2: for a lot of people. They were like, yeah, I'm ready,
- 48:29Speaker 2: let's have fun. Marina looked like a g Willow and
- 48:32Speaker 2: Hobbs stepped up like crazy. You know. Everybody was just
- 48:36Speaker 2: proud of everybody else else's performance, you know, and like
- 48:41Speaker 2: me getting the pen at the end, I'm like, look
- 48:42Speaker 2: at all these main inventors like Kenny and all this stuff,
- 48:44Speaker 2: and then like get the pine, you know, and which
- 48:47Speaker 2: led to all.
- 48:48Speaker 1: In did you guys get back on the other side
- 48:52Speaker 1: of the curtain and just everybody be like, wow, did
- 48:54Speaker 1: it feel it was?
- 48:55Speaker 2: We felt like we were like we did because like
- 49:01Speaker 2: when all these pieces is all these camera cuts, so
- 49:05Speaker 2: you got to make sure so and so fall through
- 49:07Speaker 2: table to get ready for Willow to come out do
- 49:09Speaker 2: this and so good. Yeah, and then like Claudia and
- 49:14Speaker 2: Samoa Joe go all the way out of the building
- 49:16Speaker 2: to the front like like fountain and then Shabata and
- 49:21Speaker 2: Uda are like in the back and he's putting a
- 49:24Speaker 2: barberire thing around his foot and kicking them and putting
- 49:26Speaker 2: them in a trash can. So we got to make
- 49:29Speaker 2: sure like, Okay, that spot's done, the camera's cut back. Okay,
- 49:32Speaker 2: we're here in the camera in the middle of the ring,
- 49:34Speaker 2: and we gotta do this live live. Everything has to
- 49:37Speaker 2: be forward motion. You can't like the second somebody does this,
- 49:40Speaker 2: it messes up the next thing, which messes up the
- 49:43Speaker 2: next thing. Now everybody's like it's a domino effect. It's
- 49:47Speaker 2: so rare that everything went boom boom boom room Like
- 49:51Speaker 2: Kenny Moon salt off the balcony onto everybody, Kenny's health
- 49:56Speaker 2: we're worried about, Oh my god is and when w
- 50:00Speaker 2: Angel off the stage exploding the table. Yeah, it's just
- 50:04Speaker 2: so many different elements in so many different ways for
- 50:06Speaker 2: something to go wrong that didn't. So we were just
- 50:09Speaker 2: like we had fun though, but it was it was
- 50:12Speaker 2: a blast. Aw's the only place you can have something
- 50:15Speaker 2: like that.
- 50:16Speaker 3: I saw. There's some reports and obviously who knows, you know,
- 50:19Speaker 3: Twitter wrestling.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Twitter gets shipped wrong all the time. But Alistair Black
- 50:23Speaker 2: negotiating to possibly come back to AW I thought that
- 50:26Speaker 2: was like, hmm, like that was.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know, Yeah, I don't know.
- 50:33Speaker 2: I think I saw like Sean Ross sapp report that
- 50:35Speaker 2: that was a false so false, okay, okay, So I'll
- 50:38Speaker 2: just leave that to the reports. Yeah.
- 50:39Speaker 3: I just wonder, like, when you see somebody leave and.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Like a year later they get released, do you like
- 50:44Speaker 1: is it like well you like I kind of feel
- 50:46Speaker 1: like if I was Tony Kahn, I'd be like, hey man.
- 50:47Speaker 3: You chose.
- 50:50Speaker 2: I just hope that Alistair I'll speak to. I hope
- 50:54Speaker 2: Tommy finds what he's looking for in this industry this
- 50:56Speaker 2: part of his career.
- 50:58Speaker 3: I know his wife is incredible too, that.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Both very talented, incredible people, incredible talents in itself. I
- 51:04Speaker 2: just hope they find something that gives them the type
- 51:10Speaker 2: of I don't know what it is that he's really
- 51:15Speaker 2: whatever it is, I hope there's they find someplace that
- 51:17Speaker 2: gives them that. Yeah, you know what I mean, because
- 51:19Speaker 2: he has so many great ideas. He's one of the
- 51:21Speaker 2: guys that got me in NXT, like him talking with
- 51:24Speaker 2: Terry Taylor and is like, this is a guy you
- 51:25Speaker 2: got to watch out for and he did tape Stays
- 51:28Speaker 2: with him in twenty seventeen. You know, my last indie
- 51:31Speaker 2: run I was he was the guy I was going to.
- 51:34Speaker 2: So he really helped my mind a lot at that
- 51:38Speaker 2: stage in my career. So I just hope like he
- 51:41Speaker 2: finds the place that gives him whatever it is that
- 51:46Speaker 2: can fulfill him in the industry again.
- 51:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like too with like Zelina.
- 51:51Speaker 1: It's like it's it's it sucks when like there's like
- 51:55Speaker 1: a couple because it feels like, no matter what, when
- 51:58Speaker 1: they become a TV prom together, now they're kind of
- 52:01Speaker 1: tied to each other, Yelena.
- 52:02Speaker 3: I feel like at Backlash in Puerto Ricano, perto.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Rico is like I'm like, oh my god, yeah, I'm
- 52:07Speaker 2: saying yeah.
- 52:09Speaker 1: So I don't know, man, it's definitely. Do you feel
- 52:11Speaker 1: like the industry is changing for the good or the
- 52:15Speaker 1: better right now? Because it feels like, however people feel
- 52:19Speaker 1: about TKO's involvement in wrestling now, it has changed maybe,
- 52:25Speaker 1: like I guess the business model a bit for certain
- 52:29Speaker 1: people like you.
- 52:30Speaker 2: It's only changed the business model for w B. Yeah.
- 52:33Speaker 2: I think like ww is so vast right now. It
- 52:36Speaker 2: exists only within its own world. And its own bubble.
- 52:38Speaker 2: I don't think it affects the rest of the wrestling
- 52:41Speaker 2: world too much unless releases and stuff happen, or they're
- 52:44Speaker 2: buying out TV rights for other stations or like conglomerations
- 52:48Speaker 2: are like I feel like everybody else the wrestling world
- 52:51Speaker 2: is like like flourishing. I wish what I will say
- 52:55Speaker 2: about outside of like the big TV, like like the
- 52:58Speaker 2: aw's the WS. I really do wish like the independence
- 53:04Speaker 2: was flourishing a little bit more right because a lot
- 53:07Speaker 2: of guys are getting like you're hearing about him at
- 53:10Speaker 2: twenty three, twenty four, twenty five and getting signed. I
- 53:13Speaker 2: really wish that these guys would get like become the
- 53:16Speaker 2: indie stars that we used to be watching.
- 53:18Speaker 3: I think Zilla's doing a pretty good job right now.
- 53:20Speaker 2: He is. He's holding out and he's like becoming the
- 53:22Speaker 2: indie guy, you know, he's becoming like like man like
- 53:26Speaker 2: PWG would be so helpful right now to be like, oh,
- 53:29Speaker 2: we're doing an All Star weekend, like who's out there?
- 53:33Speaker 2: Who's out there to be an all Star? And then
- 53:35Speaker 2: you'll see the names pop up, like who are these guys?
- 53:38Speaker 2: Like I heard him, I've kind of seen him and
- 53:41Speaker 2: then like then you got to watch PWG to become
- 53:43Speaker 2: a fan of these guys. You know, I really wish
- 53:46Speaker 2: we had that to find out who these guys are.
- 53:48Speaker 2: And I saw at the House of Glory. Shit, that
- 53:54Speaker 2: Charlie Mason guy, who is.
- 53:56Speaker 3: I didn't know his shtick. I thought he was being just.
- 53:59Speaker 2: I thought he was gay because he kept like licking
- 54:01Speaker 2: the sweat off of hit the dudes Like no, it's
- 54:03Speaker 2: like a no no, right.
- 54:04Speaker 3: So I was like with Zilla's girl and I was like, yeah,
- 54:07Speaker 3: it was like this dude's thing is he like geh?
- 54:09Speaker 3: She's like no, no, no, He's like Charles Manson. He's
- 54:11Speaker 3: like a serial killer.
- 54:12Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, which that would do really
- 54:14Speaker 2: great stuff on TV. Yeah, he would do great stuff.
- 54:18Speaker 2: And he yeah he's fire, Yeah he's fire. But yeah,
- 54:22Speaker 2: I just wa was like there was like more platforms
- 54:24Speaker 2: to showcase these next year.
- 54:26Speaker 3: Four rope I think is bubbling fourth rope. If they
- 54:29Speaker 3: they got to get more consistent, they got to do
- 54:30Speaker 3: more than like once a quarter. Yeah, they got right
- 54:32Speaker 3: now it's like every three or four months you get
- 54:34Speaker 3: a fourth rope.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and like they also got to compete with and
- 54:37Speaker 2: like on the big weekends, like the wressel Cads they
- 54:39Speaker 2: got to do a fourth robe they like on uh.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Yeah, they didn't do anything may A weekend, which was
- 54:44Speaker 3: like to me, a mistake.
- 54:45Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, Like consistency is key.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Because like, no matter what, GCW is doing something Mania
- 54:50Speaker 1: week exactly, and the Juggalo ships happened in many a
- 54:53Speaker 1: week Dude, Like I was at I was at blood
- 54:56Speaker 1: Sport and Stone Cold Steve Bolston's stand there under the
- 54:58Speaker 1: camera watching the shot.
- 55:00Speaker 2: I'm right behind him. I'm like, who would have thought?
- 55:03Speaker 2: I'm like, this is the time for you to be
- 55:05Speaker 2: on the watching like a non WW product like Naddy
- 55:11Speaker 2: was on the show. There has talent stuff in Shana
- 55:14Speaker 2: Basler and they had they killed it. But like I'm like,
- 55:17Speaker 2: but this is the times to be putting on shows
- 55:20Speaker 2: when you can have like a stone Coltsy Vaults and
- 55:23Speaker 2: just like you know what, I'm gonna watch And he
- 55:25Speaker 2: sat there and watched every.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Match from nobody would expect that either.
- 55:28Speaker 2: No, but that's why you gotta run. That's why you
- 55:30Speaker 2: gotta run these shows because you will miss opportunities like this.
- 55:34Speaker 1: That's why Sean Michaels watches that ship. Yes, like that's
- 55:37Speaker 1: like his ursion and like scouty I watched him with Sean, Yes,
- 55:42Speaker 1: what can you say about his because you've obviously been
- 55:44Speaker 1: under his wing at NXT.
- 55:46Speaker 3: What can you just say about Sean?
- 55:47Speaker 1: Because it feels like he's so good at developing talent,
- 55:52Speaker 1: so good at like getting people ready.
- 55:55Speaker 2: He probably has the most like challenging job because he
- 56:01Speaker 2: has to put in the time. First off, he has
- 56:03Speaker 2: to choose who's picking it up. Then he has to
- 56:08Speaker 2: put in the time, effort, resources, creativity, promotion ads, make
- 56:14Speaker 2: sure I hope they don't get hurt, and like you
- 56:17Speaker 2: got to put in all that for for.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Them to.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Pluck them at any moment, like oh yeah, by the way,
- 56:24Speaker 2: this is the last show, but he has I had
- 56:27Speaker 2: all this, Like that's really challenging because in main roster
- 56:30Speaker 2: you're not plucked in to go anywhere else. You're just there.
- 56:32Speaker 2: So like that's so challenging to do. The women are
- 56:36Speaker 2: picking up so fast, Like I feel like NXT has
- 56:39Speaker 2: spit out so many great women it's so insane. Like
- 56:45Speaker 2: and I watched it. I was in the system. I
- 56:47Speaker 2: was like, Oh, she's gone, Oh she's going, She's going
- 56:49Speaker 2: she's the next one coming up, and sure enough, boom
- 56:51Speaker 2: boom boom, like a machine, they're up there. You know.
- 56:56Speaker 2: I feel like that's they do such a good job
- 56:58Speaker 2: with the women that the ratio with the women and
- 57:06Speaker 2: the men is so like off and it's and it's
- 57:12Speaker 2: hard to pinpoint why, but I just say, I just
- 57:16Speaker 2: give credit to the women. Like he has he always
- 57:18Speaker 2: he can always plug and play a talent. Yeah, I
- 57:22Speaker 2: women's champion. He has the luxury of that, but the
- 57:25Speaker 2: men is a challenged.
- 57:26Speaker 3: I saw him say, or I don't know if it
- 57:28Speaker 3: was if someone had said that he was begging to
- 57:30Speaker 3: keep Javon one more year, oh my god, which I
- 57:33Speaker 3: think I agree it would have because.
- 57:36Speaker 2: What's he missing? Now? What's what's it like?
- 57:38Speaker 3: I feel like you should have went on a heel run. Yeah,
- 57:41Speaker 3: but what would he have missed because imagine if Trick
- 57:43Speaker 3: would have got called up.
- 57:43Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying prior.
- 57:45Speaker 3: To him going on this heel tear and.
- 57:47Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying, like, what would this whole
- 57:50Speaker 2: past year with Javon, what would he have missed out
- 57:52Speaker 2: on for being an NXC for another year? He wouldn't
- 57:54Speaker 2: missed out on anything. Maybe a mania, but there's always
- 57:56Speaker 2: going to be a mania. What would he have missed
- 57:58Speaker 2: out on this year for just waiting another year? Maybe more?
- 58:02Speaker 2: Check that's it. But he was going to get the
- 58:05Speaker 2: bag no matter what, you know, and he's young, he's
- 58:08Speaker 2: not going to.
- 58:09Speaker 3: He would have been the face of the brand for.
- 58:11Speaker 2: He would have had And what did I tell you
- 58:12Speaker 2: about trick.
- 58:14Speaker 3: On the TNA and holding that belt.
- 58:17Speaker 2: Have to see him as a top guy to believe
- 58:20Speaker 2: he is. That's why j C. Jane is doing so
- 58:22Speaker 2: well right now on her debut because we've seen her
- 58:25Speaker 2: for three years holding the top belt, getting it multiple
- 58:29Speaker 2: times and main eventing with it. So now what do
- 58:32Speaker 2: we see her with? Oh, we're gonna put her with
- 58:34Speaker 2: other manors because we perceive her as that.
- 58:36Speaker 3: Now it's happened with Oba. It was like it's like, yo,
- 58:40Speaker 3: you're going.
- 58:41Speaker 2: You're because we see you as that got the destroyer,
- 58:44Speaker 2: the ruler. We see it, So put him with a brock.
- 58:48Speaker 2: We trust it, We believe it.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Is there a piece of advice or something that Sean
- 58:53Speaker 1: taught you that you applied and still apply to this day.
- 58:57Speaker 2: There I would say there's two guys there Sean, and
- 58:59Speaker 2: there's Terry Taylor.
- 59:00Speaker 3: Okay, Sean.
- 59:05Speaker 2: For what I said earlier, he's like the guys like,
- 59:07Speaker 2: we gotta work a little harder. That that still rings
- 59:11Speaker 2: true in my head all the time. Terry has a
- 59:14Speaker 2: bunch of them. But there was a I'll go with
- 59:17Speaker 2: Sean first, because that's what you asked Sean, I would say.
- 59:27Speaker 2: He used himself as an example. He was like, when
- 59:31Speaker 2: you're not in the title picture, you got to figure
- 59:34Speaker 2: out different type of stories to tell. So because your
- 59:39Speaker 2: whole existence can't be about just the belt, because that's
- 59:41Speaker 2: why we all here.
- 59:44Speaker 3: And there's only so only one guy can be like.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Why are we all here? That's like like NBA player,
- 59:50Speaker 2: why are you here to be NBA champion? There's like
- 59:53Speaker 2: five hundred of you. Yeah, so of course, so he
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: he said like he didn't handle his first run as
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: well because he couldn't handle being the top guy. He
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: it just it was too much pressure on him, which
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: is a loss of smile and his other things. He
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: just didn't handle the pressure of being the top guy
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: very well. So when he values his second run so
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: much more because he started figuring out like I'm good
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: at being one a or A one B or two
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: A to set up the main guy and tell different
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: types of stories and tug on different heartstrings and emotions.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: So that's where like him and Jericho and like the
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: wife and everything, punching back and stuff. Him and Hunter
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: like betraying his betraying his best friend. He he's I
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: found that was my skill and niche to be like
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: the Hogan thing like him and Taker, they were never
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: about belts. On the second run, his best stories were
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: about other things, other emotional things. So I was like,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: oh snap, that's where me and Hangman I figure it out.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: That's where men like I was like, Okay, how do
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: I make myself important if the belt's not in the line,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: because everybody's fans are conditioned. If the belt's not on
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: the line, why do we care? So how do you
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: make people care without being in the title hunt out?
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: That's where it clicked for Sean with me with Sean's
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: personal advice, the other one with Terry Taylor, he was like,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: like he helped me figure out how to perform like
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: it's real, like as in like for the camera too.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: He's like He's like no, like you know, everybody does
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: something something, the crowd the camera. He's like, why are
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: you looking at them? You're not You're not in war
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: with them, You're at war with your opponent. So that's
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: where I started conducting the camera with my eyes. I
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: started like when I did something like I would look
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: at my hands, my hands, how do you feel about
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: what your hands are about to do? Am I sad
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: about my opponent? Am I like shaking? Am I scared?
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Or am I aggressive? Am I angry? Then I take
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: that anger and aggression I put in my opponent. Am
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: I angry? Or am I like? This is my friend?
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Like, so now I'm playing with different emotions live with
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: the camera, and the camera follows where my eyes are looking.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: If I look up at the lights, they shoot wide.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: If I look up down on the ground, they shoot
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: at the ground. If I like start firing up and
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: I look at my opponent, they shoot him. Then they
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: shoot back at me. Then they get that shot of
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: like looking through here, of like what I'm about to do.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: So I terry tapped that into my brain and then
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: it became about like he said, we had a skull session,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: long table like this. He watched whatever matches for the week.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: He turned it off and he was talking about the
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: business right now is going up and down stuff? Right
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: now we're in a down phase. It's twenty nineteen. Yeah,
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: He's like, we're in a downface. We're looking right now.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: I'll let you know, right now the business is in
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: need of somebody else to take the reins.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Yeah, twenty nineteen was rough. There was a couple of
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: years there I was I was just not Yeah.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: So that was like before COVID and all that stuff.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: He was like, somebody in this room is going to
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: change the wrestling world? Why not? Why not be you?
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, you know what, why not
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: be me? No? And you're looking at the room. It's like,
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: you know, you look at every performance center room. You're like,
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: who could be? You know? But like then you're like,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: you know what, what's stopping me? And I always kept
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: that in my head. I still text Harry to this
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: day and be like, I still remember that speech and
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: I took you. I took that challenge. And he was like,
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: that's why I always say it. It can happen to anybody,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: but I'm glad it happened to me.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Okay, let's take I want to take Cody the Bucks
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: and Kenny out of the picture. Who is on the
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: mount Rushmore? Aw So no Cody, No, no Cody, no Bucks,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: no Kenny.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Moxley, ding Jericho Danielson. Danielson shout out to him, all
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: I respect that for.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: Had you and Booker t squashed your beef that started.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: On lad We've been on like three flights since.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: On the same flight. Yeah, did you guys talk? Did
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: you guys even know?
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: He looks at me every time he goes and gets
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: on the flight, like, and then we sit right next
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Like I was in the aisle, he's over there.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: I'm like, nothing, No, jeez. I met him in at
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: that center a picture. Yes, I walked up to him.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: I was like, hey, man, I was like, can we
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: get a flick? I just left the press room. He's
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: like I was like, yeah, I'm friends with Swerve.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: And then right when I said that, my boy took
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: the picture and he was like, and I stepped on
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: his shoe but wasn't on purpose.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: It was on accident. But he was not in a good mood.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: I've never met a more miserable He's met a lot
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: of He's met.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: A lot of my friends.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Yeah, uh, when when's when's music coming out?
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: What's to break down the music.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: EP is dropping very very soon right now. We just
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: hitting and hit hit different. It's still rolling, still streaming
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: very well. Myself rest in peace. Profit believe you met
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Prophet before produced the record. We put it out in
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: November twenty twenty five. He passed away in January, and
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: but we did get to he did get to see
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: it in the arenas, like when we brought it out
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: when I came out back in full gear, putting Ray
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Kwan now a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ray
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Kwan Wu Tang on the record. And my man Montez,
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: you know, has been here right here, wrapped on the
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: show and everything. So I was able to get one
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: of my good friends, a great producer, one of my
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: good friends, and a legend to all collaborate on this
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: record that's still spinning. It's doing really well and uh,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: EP going to be dropping soon. Just got Max b
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: on two features.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: Shocked man who you thought wrestling fan?
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Never? I never would have thought, let alone a wrestling
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: fan of mine. That's crazy.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: So how do you get people to like the new
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: theme song? Because I feel like the old theme song
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: so crazy that.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: That's so crazy. Yeah, but it worked in a great time.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: But I want to know, like, the new theme song
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: is it? Do you feel that it's not?
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: The fans are not as happy with it because they
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: love the old one. I got fans that are happy
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: with it.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Okay, okay, I just the old one is just it's
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: it's I always wonder what that decision is when you
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: got a theme song that everyone.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: Sings along to, what is the thought process of being Like, listen,
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: ask the lawyers, Oh, is that what happened?
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Ask the lawyers what happened?
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: So you couldn't use the old one?
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: I decided not to or it was a legal thing.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Ask the lawyers on that one.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: So you can't use it? Is that what I'm gathering?
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: I chose not to.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: Okay, damn, such a great fucking it was.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Got a lot of knowledge out of it in the
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: first three years.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Man, all right, Well, that that's I always I wondered that.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I was like, I was like, what the fuck this guy?
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Joint dog like, yeah.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: Oh well, well at least now we have some answers there.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: All right, So EP's coming soon? Are you wrestling Wednesday? Wednesday?
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: You should see me on Dynamite this coming Wednesday. Yeh.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Where's it at uh Ashville, Ashville, Carolina?
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Don't know? Oh yeah, yeah, Ashville.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: That's when they had the accident.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: They had them.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so we always come back to do something like
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: charity charitable shows. Friend, that's where FTR and where Copeland live.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: Oh ship chat.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Yeah, such a great return. By the way, he's man.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: One thing Cope knows how to do. He knows how
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: to do a lot of great things. He knows how
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: to make a return. He knows how to make a
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: damn return for sure.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Well, listen, everybody go watch a w Wednesday nights. It's
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: on tn T and HBO Max. HBO Max is the
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: best because you could just man, because I don't have cable,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: so almost like and then Collision is Saturdays Saturdays eight
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: o'clock TNT.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: On tn T. And then what's the next pay per view.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Double and nothing? May twenty fourth in Queens, New York.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: It's Queen Queens Baby.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: There gonna be another anarchy at the Arena Stadium Stampede.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: They just announced it with Jericho. It hurts the nak
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: it against which they still got some members to more
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: people to add to the team against Ricochet and the
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: demand oh I didn't see that. Yeah, yeah, that's this
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: past Wednesday. Just put that out there. Well, they got
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: a big that's the first match that that they've announced
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: for that, and I think Kazuko, Kata and Tequesta.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Gonna be a very bit some big shoes to fill
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: from last year's anarchy.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: Good luck in a tennis stadium at that all.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: Do we know where all end is going to be yet?
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Wembley?
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Oh it is, so let's go going back to to Wembley.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: So now I gotta go to So that's Mike's use
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to go to London? Yeah, because I sure the fucking
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: going the Saudi Arabia. You hear that, your tk O fucks.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I'm not getting bombed in Dubai. You motherfuckers. London, we're outside.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: Outside with it there. It is that that might be
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: probably the best fan base. Them motherfuckers will follow you
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: to your hotel room the London, well yeah, they will swarm.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: Do you like do you deal with like fans stepping
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: a bit because wrestling fans are very I feel like
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: they're pretty harmless, but they're also very like bro, they
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: don't they are also I'm.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Never I've never had those issues like like I said,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: I feel like like you put out certain energy that
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: you get back like, but also there's randoms that.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Like did you saw the cmpunk video or he slapped
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: the dude's phone and the guy went on a fucking
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: media run like asking.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: That's putting out the energy? Yeah, you can't put out
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: that type of energy, you know what I mean? So
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: you get get the energy out what you get.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: But I saw the angle where like Bailey and like
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: AJ were having it.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: I get that, But then you get somebody else's step
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: in because you don't want to put yourself in that
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: you know that heater.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: Because because then it's gonna keep happening and it's gonna
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: get you get it.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: And you could be right, you could be meaning, you
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: could be meaning to do the right thing and however,
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: but the guy probably deserved it. But now you're in
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: that ship storm.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Now and now he's got not only can you get sued,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: but now other fans are going to try to bait you.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Yes, like I said, you you the more energy you
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: put out like that, the more it's gonna come back.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: So you just gotta be careful with that kind of stuff. Hey,
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: I never dealt with that.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Do you guys get an internal email from Tony or
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: from like the PR team when like Ricochet says crazy
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: shit on Twitter.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: Like, hey guys, let's not cross the line on Twitter.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: Hey, I was. I was just I definitely was one
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: of those guys saying like firing back and saying ship like.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: No, no, for sure, I've seen you fire back.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: But yeah, but now it's like I gotta It's like
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: it's not worth it. It's not it's not He's like,
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: you know what, this is not going to be the
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: last guy that says some dumb shit about you or
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: say not like your promos, not like your matches.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Wrestling fans are toxic as fuck, especially the ones on Twitter,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: like everybody.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: Those aren't wrestling fans whoever they are.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, Like, like we got to also
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: be like Twitter is not wrestling fans. They're not showing
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: up to like your signings and stuff like that. They're
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: not showing up to shows. They're just watching on their
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: phone or online. So we got to take that and divide.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Them by Like I feel the same thing with the
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: with the hip hop world, where it's like there'll be
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: people who like J Cole will drop an incredible album
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and like a bunch of people who would not go
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: out of it. Ja Cole said it perfectly on his interview run.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: He said, there's people who are chiming in on artists
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: and music that they wouldn't if it was two thousand
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: and one go to the store to buy. Yeah, so
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: it's like you're not even.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: Like invested in the product enough to even like you
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: don't like this shit.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: He's marketing to people that love his music or love
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: a certain type of love. Yeah, he's targeting the people.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: If you bought the album, if you spend money on
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: the album and you have an opinion that's how it
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: used to be.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: But you're listening regardless. Thanks for the stream, right, thanks
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: for talking about it, and even if it is bad, okay, cool,
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Like I want to listen to how bad it is,
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: and then your perception might be changed. So at least
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: you're like, even the negative publicity is getting more people
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: to like listen to you, so you might as well
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: take them too with you.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Right, we'll listen swerve. I appreciate you pulling up again.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Go support this guy's music and watch Wednesday night. He'll
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: be back on TV. Uh is aw similar to like
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: like like are you doing just Wednesdays, Wednesday, Saturdays?
