- 0:00We're about the same age you and I. I'm a little older, just
- 0:03a scoch. There was a song well as I was growing up and I
- 0:07and I loved this song. It brings me right back. It was from
- 0:10an artist called Tea Pain. If you've heard of T Pain, I do.
- 0:14But is it everybody in the club getting tips? No? What is
- 0:20that not? The right? J kwan in you the song? The song
- 0:24is called tipsy it's getting tips. Yeah, everybody in the club making a
- 0:28you know, supplementary income tax free. You don't report it if it's cash.
- 0:34That's what he was writing about. Everybody in the club was earning tips.
- 0:38I please take back the last thirty seconds. I would love take on
- 0:42for that to be the case, but I don't think it's possible back taking
- 0:45it back? All right? Man? As I was saying, Jay,
- 0:47uh, now you got me on listening, T Pain wrote a song about
- 0:50falling in love with a certain type of worker. This was a jam,
- 0:59absolute jam. And then Mike Jones threw a verse on a two. Oh
- 1:02we got a two thousand and five was a time? But aman this actually
- 1:04now art has imitated life because this has happened. A man from Arkansas is
- 1:11now suing a Las Vegas dancer because he feels he was duped. Oh.
- 1:17He says that over the span of ten years, he was led to believe
- 1:23by this dancer that hold on down, this is the Las Vegas dancer,
- 1:30that they were exclusive. Oh just because he went every day. Yeah,
- 1:34because he was dedicated to her? Is that why? What was the what
- 1:41was the other side? Well, he says, over ten years that it
- 1:46cost him over gods, I don't even want to know. Thirty five million
- 1:53dollars that's how much he shared girl right immediately, like good for you.
- 1:59I mean, I don't know for who c mean her for cashing in,
- 2:04because this is just one person. Well, he says, the woman communicated
- 2:07with him daily while scheming, to quote form a make believe relationship with the
- 2:12ultimate goal of getting as much money out of him as possible. Okay,
- 2:15that's unfortunate. So this is a little different. I was thinking, honestly,
- 2:19Pike, when you started that, he thought just because he showed up
- 2:22at the club every single day and was giving her this money that theirs was
- 2:25like, oh, yeah, we're I am sure there is a lot of
- 2:29that going on. I'm sure it's most of it now did she? Because
- 2:32in the claim, the guy says that she hoodwinked him into thinking they were
- 2:37an exclusive romantic relationship. Hoodwink she during this time accepted a house and several
- 2:44trips funded by the man. He would send financial support to the woman at
- 2:47her specific request. Well, he didn't even offer to go on the trips.
- 2:52Then of course she's got it. She's living the life. She's got
- 2:53a sugar daddy that doesn't even want to, you know, anything. It
- 2:57shows up to her work and just gives him a dance or to I don't
- 3:00know. I mean, I know I've heard stories anyway of these clubs in
- 3:05Vegas. I don't know what goes. It sounds like it's real. Anything
- 3:08goes if you've got thirty five million. Oh man, I mean, I
- 3:13kind of feel bad for the guy, But do you not? Really?
- 3:14This also kind of feels I mean, it's not as over the top as
- 3:16like a Saudi prince who wants you to go get a Walmart gift card.
- 3:21No, but it's up there. It's real like in that. You know.
- 3:23I'm sure he has felt her and vice versa physically, but he's just
- 3:28the type of guy. This reminds me of the guy who thinks that the
- 3:30server is hitting on him all the time the beer cart girl has a crush
- 3:36on him. Did you see the way that they looked at you? Just
- 3:38I mean you guys, like the way she was being so friendly with me?
- 3:43Do you're not You're not picking up what I'm picking up. You should
- 3:45have seen her on whole seven, bud, like, I don't know,
- 3:53there was probably another another person there was googly eyes towards getting You should have
- 3:59seen what she had me doing on a whole seven like it a minuda in
- 4:01the morning, Big ninety eight point seven. Time for a round of is
- 4:09it weird? You've if you've heard the show before, you've come to know
- 4:12and this is where we discussed you don't you ever do a little thing and
- 4:15you just kind of have that thought like, I don't know, is this
- 4:16weird? I'm trying to be normal, I mean, is my goal to
- 4:19be normal? And we'll find out, so Amanda, please, well,
- 4:24I was just in disbelief when the other day. You know, we love
- 4:29going to the lake and right away if you catch fish. The best thing
- 4:32for me is having fish for breakfast. I love having like fresh crappie Friday
- 4:36night, had a just slay in those crappies? Are you slaying them?
- 4:42And so for breakfast, I had crappies with eggs like I love like a
- 4:46runny egg over fish, and I had just put on my story just like
- 4:49fish and eggs with a cup of coffee, and I had somebody sliding too
- 4:54my DMS and they were just like ew, that is appalling, so disgusting,
- 4:58and not once in my life, but I thought that that was gross.
- 5:00I'll be honest. Can I be totally transparent with you? Please do
- 5:04I never had considered those two things together, really, eggs and fish.
- 5:10Never once have I seen somebody do that. Have I thought that maybe those
- 5:14two would be even in the same meal, like not just not on top
- 5:15of each other on the same plate. To me, they have no business.
- 5:18So I'm just I'm processing a lot right now, Okay, Yeah,
- 5:23Because usually you're the one who's like, ah no, that's not especially when
- 5:26it comes to food concoctions. You're usually on my page because I'll just eat
- 5:29about anything, it really doesn't matter. And we like to use the short
- 5:32lunch caguen so add in that little Cajun with an egg. Oh my gosh,
- 5:39it's so good. But apparently that is so weird to people. Okay,
- 5:42I thought about it. You gotta probably try it before you can judge
- 5:45me. No, No, I'm going not weird. I think I would
- 5:47like that. I think I would eat that. Yeah, I think I
- 5:49would like that. Just adding a different kind of meat to your breakfast really
- 5:53all you know, I eat eggs on burgers all the time, eggs on
- 5:57heck, even chicken and eggs, steak and eggs. Yeah, well,
- 6:01certainly sausage and eggs, bacon and that is that's wild. I mean it
- 6:06goes with that saying. But fish and eggs, I think of fish eggs.
- 6:12You ever eat those caviar? Right? Maybe? I'm pretty sure that's
- 6:16what caviar. Gavyard thought that was the the hardened tea. Yes of the
- 6:21lower class the rich people eat at parties. All right, Well, good
- 6:26to know, Amanda. Isn't weird to eat food in line before you pay
- 6:31for it? Oh? That drives me crazy. My kids every once in
- 6:35a while will be like, that's fine for just a second, or open
- 6:38a bottle of something. But I'm not a fan of it, really,
- 6:42because I was at I think it was a holiday. Yesterday, I stopped
- 6:45for some gas and I went in and I saw those cookies and I thought,
- 6:47you know what, it's Sunday, I'm gonna eat a cookie. So
- 6:50I got the cookie, like the homemade ones that are already yeah, in
- 6:53the in the clear case or whatever, and little hack, you know,
- 6:56you take the cookie and then you throw it in that disgusting microwave that people
- 7:00used to warm up the pre made sandwiches. Whoa going in for like eight
- 7:03seconds? I don't think people were prepared on a Monday for these hot tips
- 7:08were giving them fish and eggs. And now you put the cookie in the
- 7:11microwave at the gas station. Oh, it turns it into an absolutely delicious
- 7:14dessert. So I grab it and now I'm standing in line. And then,
- 7:17of course, in typical fashion, that just kind of how my life
- 7:20goes. Nobody has been at the checkout counter for several minutes, and as
- 7:25soon as I start making my route to the checkout, eleven people just swarm
- 7:31and are now standing in line. So now I'm standing there waiting. Well,
- 7:34you don't want that cookie to get cold, exactly, otherwise I'm gonna
- 7:38go mic it again and anytime you microwave something twice, now you're in trouble.
- 7:42So anyway, I start eating it, and pretty soon I'm like,
- 7:45oh, this is a dang good cookie. It's gone. I just hate
- 7:48the whole cookie. Did you just have that wrapper? So I'm standing over
- 7:51the wrapper. I get up to the checkout. Of course you have the
- 7:55thought it's like, well, did she see me eat it? Do I
- 7:58even need to report it? Or did I just get a free cookie?
- 8:03Or am I stealing a cookie today? What's the plan? So I decided,
- 8:09I wan, you know, there wasn't two cookies in there. It's
- 8:13hard to say. I went with the you know, I had a real
- 8:16devil and angel on my shoulder situation. I sided with the angel yesterday.
- 8:20Okay, So I led to the lady. I said, yeah, just
- 8:22these two things, and oh yeah, I ate a whole cookie bore.
- 8:26I stood in line, just say you know, and she goes, yeah,
- 8:30well they're good. Oh that is so great. I always love that.
- 8:33And then but one thing that bothers me. If if we're going with
- 8:37what's weird when you're at the grocery store, yeah, if you're opening like
- 8:39something that is a package or like that. But when people are eating produce,
- 8:43that's weird to me. Like if they're digging in and getting like the
- 8:48yeah, that's that's well. Ideally you'd rinse it off exactly yea kills e
- 8:54coal ie or something, but it might. Yeah, my mommy said,
- 8:58when we're at the grocery store grown up, she would always just be opening
- 9:01boxes of things and eating them. And it drove me crazy then. But
- 9:03now I've just come around. I'm just glad that angel was on your shoulder
- 9:07yesterday. I did Amanda in the morning, did ninety point seven, and
- 9:11now Amanda stills the sea. We's see. Well, it's been a while
- 9:16since you wake up on a Monday and you're not scrambling for things to talk
- 9:18about. I mean, there were so many things over the weekend, and
- 9:22one of them, in particular Hollywood deaths. I could not believe it.
- 9:26Every time you hit refreshed, there was somebody else dying. One of the
- 9:30first ones I saw was doctor Ruth ninety six years old. She passed away.
- 9:33Of course, lived a great long life, but ninety six is a
- 9:37good run. Especially. I mean, just what a cool job sex there
- 9:41at this well, and just I mean we all grew up, you know,
- 9:43giggling laugh and I mean it was just one of those kids. It
- 9:46was so ri scay. Yeah, she said, what. Yes, Richard
- 9:50Simmons. He passed away on Saturday, one day after his seventy sixth birthday.
- 9:54And I missed his post, but you said he had a really heartfelt
- 9:56post the day of his birthday. On his birthday, he'd actually been posting
- 9:58because he remember like sort of disappeared off the face of the earth for several
- 10:03years. There was a search for him, and he just didn't want to
- 10:05be in the public eye, Like he wanted to live his life away from
- 10:09the paparazzi. And that was it. Yeah, And now he'd been posting
- 10:11a little bit. The day before he died. He had this long post
- 10:15about how he was just thankful for another day of being alive. It was
- 10:20just heartbreaking to then die the next day. Yeah. The last I had
- 10:22heard, he was really upset because Polly Shore had signed on to play him
- 10:26in a movie, and he said, I don't want this movie to be
- 10:28about me, and I don't want him to be playing it. It sounds
- 10:31like they're still going to be moving forward with it, but just really sad.
- 10:35Former NFL receiver Jacobe Jones. He died super young, only forty.
- 10:39We don't have a lot of details on that yet. In his sleep is
- 10:41what they said. But yeah, very sad. Yeah. And Shannon Doherty,
- 10:45she of course has had a long battle with cancer she was fifty three
- 10:48years old, or being told she was surrounded by her loved ones. But
- 10:52she has a lot of interview clips over the past few months basically saying like,
- 10:56I know where I'm going to end up. I'm not scared of dying.
- 10:58Just sad. I grew up with her as I mean, that's my
- 11:01Brenda from NIDO two went on. Yeah, you know, I never saw
- 11:03the show, but I heard it as popular. Oh it was so good,
- 11:07really, just yeah, every time you opened up social media there was
- 11:11news about something, whether it was a death or you know, me having
- 11:15my lowest score on the golf course in four years. It was just something.
- 11:20Every time you opened up the Internet, I didn't see that. Did
- 11:24you post about that? Or you just I didn't? You know, you're
- 11:26right, Oh, I should probably post my score. I did want to
- 11:28bury it. You want it because there was so much other stuff going on
- 11:31in the world. Maybe post it today. It felt maybe a little tasteless
- 11:35to be posting about my golf score when all that was going on. But
- 11:39you know, for those wondering, yes I did break eighty. I shot
- 11:43a seventy seven at Rose Creek Public. Of course, yesterday afternoon. One
- 11:46thing I did miss woke up this morning, and I don't miss a lot
- 11:50of Hollywood news. Did you see Alec Baldwin broke into tears after his involuntary
- 11:54manslaughter trial was dropped on Friday? I saw the video. Yeah, totally
- 11:58missed this. So apparently the gun that he was handling that discharged. They're
- 12:03saying that there was new evidence that came to light that they had buried evidence
- 12:07and now which is it's done, like they can't charge him. Get so,
- 12:09not that they determined he was innocent, it was just that there was
- 12:13some mishandling of a case, which now he's off and they say he can't
- 12:16be retried. Yeah. Wild, And there's also a lot of hype.
- 12:20We were just kind of talking about Hallmark movies for Well Pike, are you
- 12:24ready? Yeah, I'm ready in one second, the Soliday season, and
- 12:31we were just talking about how they're looking for Christer Christmas. Well, one
- 12:35of the movies that people are very excited about. It's basically kind of a
- 12:39Taylor and Travis love story that they're trying to recreate. They're actually allowing Hallmark
- 12:46to go into the Chief Stadium Arrowhead and they're going to be doing some filming
- 12:50for it and everything. And we knew the couple of actors that were going
- 12:54to be a part of it. But then yesterday they made this announcement.
- 12:56I am Donna Kelsey and I'm in a holiday touchdown, a Chief's Love Story
- 13:05miscountdown to Christmas only on a Hallmark channel. Mama Donna, what is she
- 13:09going to be doing? Is she? I see? For me? I
- 13:13feel like she's going to be a quick little cameo, maybe showing up to
- 13:16the stadium bringing cookies for the boys. I don't know. I mean,
- 13:20as far as we know, she's never acted, and so her skill set
- 13:24will fit right in with the rest of the people in the home Ark channel.
- 13:28Yeah, it's funny you say a love story about Taylor and Travis,
- 13:31because my band actually at our street dance we played in Sisseton Saturday, we
- 13:35played Love Story for the first time ever. The Taylor Swift song Low Standards
- 13:39played Love Story first time ever, covering Taylor Swift. You know, we
- 13:41had a lot of requests over the years play Taylor Swift, play with Taylor
- 13:45Swift. I was curious how it would go. Did you guys have a
- 13:46guest singer? Nope, Taylor Swift has a pretty neutral range. We played
- 13:52it in the original key and everything, and it went great. I bet
- 13:56it. People loved it. Yeah, people loved it. So are you
- 13:58guys going to play more? I think we just might leave it with that
- 14:01one. I mean, it came down to it not to like just side
- 14:03rail this whole conversation we have as well dive right. We talked about the
- 14:07golf thing, and now we might as well just keep going with my band.
- 14:11No, we discussed. I mean, there's any number of songs you
- 14:13could play, like what translates well to an actual rock band. We've considered
- 14:18you belong with me, which is great. Also, you guys didn't think
- 14:22about teared ups on my guitar because that one would be a stellar It's a
- 14:26little slow shake it off. I could see you boys shaking it off up
- 14:30there. You know, we would just shake it off if it wasn't just
- 14:31such a terrible sung. Oh come on and Amanda in the morning on Sage
- 14:37seven. It's soliday season. There's no rules. There's no rules, so
- 14:43we might as well discuss the holidays in July. Let's do it because Hallmark's
- 14:46doing it. The Hallmark Channel is upping their Christmas game, and they're known
- 14:50for their Christmas game. Of course, they're launching a holiday themed competition show,
- 14:54and they're gonna help me more. I would love to be a part
- 14:58of something like that. They're looking for their new leading man. They're looking
- 15:01for quote er can't do it. The show will be called Finding Mister Christmas.
- 15:07Ten TV ready guys will compete in a series of challenges testing their acting
- 15:11skills and festive spirit. Now, having seen a few scenes of Hallmark movies,
- 15:16I think they're probably more concerned about the festive spirit. Acting skills are
- 15:20minimal. They're what a job applicant, what does it say? It's not
- 15:24required but preferred. Yes, acting skills a bonus. The winner will land
- 15:30a leading role in a twenty twenty four Hallmark Channel holiday movie and will be
- 15:33given the title of Mister Christmas. Oh my gosh, that is awesome.
- 15:37Who comes to mind when you think mister Christmas, my husband, of course,
- 15:41no, I was. He not mister No. He likes Christmas.
- 15:46I mean I like to think that our love story was like a Hallmark Christmas
- 15:50movie. That's how I felt about it, because it just it happened so
- 15:54fast, it was so like, just everything about it when we got together
- 15:58for the first time, for the hull just everything, I know, so
- 16:02gross, so gross, just like just fighting back the urge to vomit here
- 16:06I know, trust me. But you remember it. I remember how remember
- 16:11when we first started dating. You were just it was gross. It was
- 16:15gross. You were like, stop smiling. It was over the top.
- 16:18I couldn't help it. That's great for you, man, I just felt
- 16:22like it was a little and you know what, keep to yourself. I
- 16:25still feel this way. I'm happy for you, but I mean I just
- 16:27will a little too much. But when you, uh, when do you
- 16:32think of mister Christmas. Because I'm trying to think of the activities that they
- 16:33would have you go through, because usually in every Christmas movie you're a part
- 16:38of like the village of some sort wherever you're going, and you for sure
- 16:42we're gonna have to be able to bake the cookies or pretend to or at
- 16:45least like throw the flower on their nose, and you know, oh cute,
- 16:48I have like the cute little that moment with a snowball fight, but
- 16:52not too rough, not like dumb and dumber that seems stuff in her face
- 16:56in the snow. Yes, sometimes skiing involved. You got a ski,
- 17:02aren't They always aren't The dudes in those movies always like flannel wearing. Not
- 17:07not always, but you Yeah, but you gotta be like the girl.
- 17:11The city girl's gonna probably have her car breakdown. You're gonna have to be
- 17:15the one to come tow her. You're gonna have to have the knowledge.
- 17:17Yeah, probably some good car skills. Yeah, car skills. Yikes.
- 17:22See, I would not be able to change tire, make a code.
- 17:25I have a headlight out currently, and it's been like a two week process
- 17:27of like figuring, which is a how does one go about changing a headlight?
- 17:30Because apparently it's not easy on it especially this isn't just like a you
- 17:34can jump on YouTube and well you can, but they're like, Okay,
- 17:37here's the easy steps to change aheadlight and they proceed to disassemble the entire vehicle
- 17:42with all these tools that I've never seen in my life. I'm like,
- 17:45oh, yeah, just do it right at home. Huh perfect, easy.
- 17:48No. I literally took my car to a shop or whatever and they
- 17:51said, sorry, we can't do it. So really, yeah, I
- 17:53don't think I'm going to be trying it on my own. Oh man,
- 17:56you're gonna be one headlight like that wall. So all right, well,
- 18:02I guess my nineties people got that. Okay, are you kidding me?
- 18:06One? There you go? Hey, hey go? You turn it out
- 18:12like a man in the morning on Big nuety eight point seven. Amanda and
- 18:17I lose things all the time, famous for losing things. My wife gives
- 18:19me a hard time daily. But you managed to over the weekend lose a
- 18:22jet ski Is that right? I mean it wasn't my fault, but yes.
- 18:27So on Saturday, the weather was great Friday Saturday, and there was
- 18:32a lot of rumblings that there was going to be a system kind of going
- 18:33through Lakes area. I even heard a few bumblings. You just never know
- 18:37where it's gonna hit. So we happen to be closer to Ottertail and it
- 18:42was about eight thirty and I told my husband, I'm like it's starting to
- 18:45get like really kind of eerie out you could tell it was dark. But
- 18:48also the sky. Have you ever seen it where it turns like pinkish yellow.
- 18:52It's just it's a fat I seen a pink sky. You think you're
- 18:56talking to you big sky guy. It was just it was different. It
- 19:00was really really eerie. I'm like, let's take everything down, let's,
- 19:03you know, make sure everything's put away, all of that stuff. And
- 19:06my stepdad and Nick are kind of like, it's fine whatever, but they
- 19:08did. They adhered to my caution. Yes, And so we get inside
- 19:17and all of a sudense like heat, lightning. So I actually get out
- 19:19and I go back out on the dock because of course got to take a
- 19:22picture if I can. It looked amazing. It was just really really cool.
- 19:26And then within a second, I am not kidding, you just win
- 19:30gus up to probably like seventy miles per hour hail rain to a point where
- 19:37you couldn't even open the door. It was so scary. The power went
- 19:40out and you couldn't even All you could see is like the glimpse of the
- 19:42lightning and stuff flying. Like that's how crazy it was outside, Like Twister
- 19:47was any cows or anything like that. Any cows, just a couple of
- 19:52chairs, cans, Mauie Matt was going crazy. It was just it was
- 19:56bizarre. But anyway, it was going on for a while, so we
- 20:00ended up just going to sleep because the power went out and it was ten
- 20:03thirty. So we went to bed, woke up on Sunday morning and I
- 20:08over here Nick and my stepdad talking and Lance Pants is like, I don't
- 20:14see one of the jet skis and Nick's like what He's like, Yeah,
- 20:18one of the jet skis has gone. So we had to go out on
- 20:21a search. And while we're looking for everything, there's chairs, everything,
- 20:23trees down everywhere. Thankfully no serious damage. There was a tree that had
- 20:30fell on a car, a couple of houses down, but it was just
- 20:33kind of like the brushes of the trees so it didn't hit the log you
- 20:37know, portion of it. And then at the lake next to us,
- 20:40one of our friends, Pontoon, flipped over. On the other side of
- 20:42the lake there was like a dock that had been torn apart. It was
- 20:47just what people want to deal with. We get, you know, a
- 20:49little bit of summer and the last thing you want is for your activities for
- 20:53summer to get completely destroyed. You know, where would you where'd you find?
- 20:56The jet ski? Actually happened to be all the way across the lake
- 21:00in a bunch of weeds, which was really weird because that wasn't the direction
- 21:03the wind was going, but floated away. Thankfully, no damage there.
- 21:07But yeah, yeah, you hate to lose your jet ski. You just
- 21:10do, yeah, do as crazy? Well, I mean, obviously we're
- 21:12in an insane heat wave all across the country, Like you see these nuts,
- 21:15temperatures like one hundred and ten degrees. It was hot as heck here
- 21:18all weekend. Yeah. Yeah, I got a sunburn like an idiot.
- 21:22It's not even cool anymore, you know back in the days to just burn
- 21:26up, Oh yeah, turn into a tan. I'm like, no,
- 21:27I'm so far past that. I'm just mad at myself for allowing it.
- 21:30Couldn't sleep last night, Yeah, you got you gotta put that sunscreen,
- 21:34and I did, and that's the thing. But you know what, I
- 21:37didn't ask anybody to help get my back, And that's where, you know,
- 21:40you think you can do everything yourself, Sometimes you just have to humble
- 21:44yourself and ask for help. Yeah, I know, a lot of people
- 21:45are still they were without electricity in the Lakes area kind of last night.
- 21:49I know my stepdad got his back on right before bed, but then this
- 21:53morning that storm that went through knocked it out again. So and even props
- 21:57of the people who are trying to electricity back on. Imagine when it's one
- 22:02hundred degrees and you're up in the trees trying to get power lines and everything.
- 22:06Just not an ideal situation. So thinking of everybody who has to go
- 22:10through all that, and me and my sunburn, really making today about you,
- 22:15your golf game, your sunburn I was, and then you at the
- 22:22people who you don't need to care have some serious issues going on, like
- 22:25losing their jet ski Oh no, you like just because you're not a fund
- 22:33for you family loses jet skiing. No. I'm saying though, for people
- 22:37whose pontoons and stuff like that, that is not okay, I know,
- 22:41just terrible. I just this is hard time, everybody. Pam, Pam,
- 22:45That's what I want to do. What ruined the listeners experience by slamming
- 22:48the microphone, That's what they wanted to do to you. Right now,
- 22:51they're in their cars, they're just hitting the steering wheel. Now, I'm
- 22:53sure there's people going you know what, Pike all, help get your back.
- 22:56Next time, I'll volunteer in the morning on this is I mean inspiring
- 23:03to say the least. Amanda. A man named Joaquin Garcia, Okay,
- 23:07sixty nine years old. He's had an incredible run where six years ago he
- 23:11got to the point where he just had it. Okay, So you've heard
- 23:14people quiet quitting where they just mentally have already quit. They just technically are
- 23:18still going to work and you know, accepting a paycheck, all right,
- 23:21but they're just done working. This guy literally stopped going to work. Worked
- 23:25at a water treatment planted and nobody knew he's a building supervisor. So six
- 23:30years ago Joaquin stopped going in and you know, one day went by,
- 23:33it was fine, week goes by, doesn't hear anything. Suddenly weeks have
- 23:38gone by, nobody is saying anything about Joaquin not going to work. Stop.
- 23:42Paycheck still clear, and he's earning forty one point five thousand dollars a
- 23:47year. Six years pass out of nobody says a thing until he receives an
- 23:52award. He is set to receive an award for the amount of time ironically
- 23:57that he has spent at the water treatment plan and that's when they discover it.
- 24:02It just goes on the docket like, oh gosh, he's been here,
- 24:03ooh about fifty years? Perfect, Yeah, what's everyone? What's everyone's
- 24:08favorite thing about Jaque? And then everyone goes, wait a minute, huh
- 24:11Joaquin still works here? Well what happened? How is this possible? You're
- 24:17wondering, Well, there's two departments the building that he is supposed to be
- 24:21supervising. Essentially, there was a mix up where each department assumed that the
- 24:25other department was responsible for what his duties actually were, so they weren't getting
- 24:30done, but nobody thought it was their job. Everybody thought it was the
- 24:33other person's job. Six years, six years go by, Joaquin is doing
- 24:40who knows what, I don't know if he just took another job, and
- 24:41is you know, double dipping or literally it was early retirement for the guy.
- 24:45So now, and now this took place over in Spain, where the
- 24:49rule is the maximum he can be penalized is thirty thousand dollars, So you
- 24:56think six years at forty one and a half thousand dollars, I mean we're
- 25:00talking, you know, two hundred Will you tell me, Amanda, You
- 25:03know, I'm not really sure, not the mathematician here, but I mean
- 25:07that's kind of on them. I'm not saying what he did was right,
- 25:11but also like, as a business, you gotta be held accountable for not
- 25:15knowing that it's a government job. Unbelievable. Oh yeah, so he got
- 25:19away with it for two hundred and forty thousand dollars or so give that a
- 25:22try. If you're just tired of it, just stop going and see if
- 25:26anybody notices how many? How long could you go? I think most businesses
- 25:29you wouldn't be able to go a half a day? Yeah, most things,
- 25:32I mean, starting with hours, it would be quite apparent, you
- 25:34know. Yeah, like, yeah, everyone's used to you taking some time
- 25:37off in the summer. But don't you have enough sound clips of me that
- 25:40you could just you know, funny you say that I actually do. Yeah,
- 25:44I mean, I mean with AI, you don't really need to be
- 25:45here? Is this even us talking right now? Nobody really knows trending.
- 25:51Now here's what you need to know. Well, it was an unbelievable weekend.
- 25:55Former President Trump was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt at is
- 25:59rally a and this happened on Saturday in Pennsylvania and there were shots heard around
- 26:03the world. Oh that's a little bit old art that charts a couple of
- 26:07months old. And if you want to really see something that said, take
- 26:11a look at what happened over Trually couldn't believe it. I mean, I
- 26:19think me, like many people, just didn't think that something like this would
- 26:23be possible. You know, It'd been forty plus years since Reagan was shot
- 26:26or attempted assassination, and I just didn't think it'd be possible now. And
- 26:30apparently, thankfully it didn't happen, but it was close. Where were you
- 26:34when it happened, Well, we were at the Sisseton Street Dance getting ready
- 26:38for the big show. Did you get a text message or how did you
- 26:41find out? Who? Did you just jump on social media? You get
- 26:44to open Facebook and you see that I think it was NBC News and you
- 26:47see the photo right away, and so immediately I'm like, there's no this
- 26:49has to be fake. So I'm double checking accounts. Am I following the
- 26:52correct account? How is this photo like such an unbelievable photo with the blood,
- 26:57with the fists the American flag in the background, like, how is
- 27:02this so quickly available? Yeah, that's shocking. You know, we were
- 27:04it was just my husband and I and we were on the pontoon and my
- 27:07husband's phone just all of a sudden started blowing up and all of his friends
- 27:11were just like, you'll never believe what happened, And it was just that
- 27:14moment we just sat there like this cannot be possible. This absolutely cannot be
- 27:19possible. Three other people were shot. A fifty year old firefighter reportedly was
- 27:23trying to shield his wife and his daughter from the gunfire. He ended up
- 27:26dying. There's a fifty seven year old man and a seventy four year old
- 27:30man who are currently in stable condition. You just talked about that image that
- 27:33is going to go down in history books. Yeah. For him to get
- 27:37up and do that, I mean he's always been whether you love him or
- 27:40hate him, I mean he's like thed Aultamant showman. He's always got that
- 27:42in his mind of like, you know, how does this look. For
- 27:45him to get up and do that, it was wild, It really is.
- 27:48And I think a lot of people when you watch that video, and
- 27:51I think a lot of people have on repeat. Just that instant second he
- 27:55decided to look at a different place or just move his head, because waking
- 27:59up today could have been a whole lot different. A lot of questions too.
- 28:02Was he going to maybe cancel the Republican National Convention? Was he going
- 28:06to be scared? No, he's actually in Milwaukee. He said yesterday that
- 28:11his speech was going to be a real humdinger on Thursday night, but he
- 28:14switched it up. He went on to say, Nope, we have a
- 28:17new effort national unity. This is a chance not only to bring our whole
- 28:19country together, but even the world, and this speech will be a whole
- 28:23lot different. President Biden yesterday briefly did address the situation as well. Yesterday
- 28:29shooting at Donald Trump's Trawley in Pennsylvania calls on all of us to take a
- 28:33step back, take stock of where we are, how we go forward from
- 28:36here. Thankfully Former Trump is not seriously le injured, and I think this
- 28:41is just a moment all of us need to pray for our country. But
- 28:44I think yesterday on a local level, it hit even harder, just so
- 28:48heavy. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of one of the darkest days right
- 28:52here in Farkell. They had the memorial service for Officer jakobla Aleen and Zach
- 28:56Robinson, who was one of the officers who was injured. Did you hear
- 29:00a little bit of his speech yesterday? We have some of it for you
- 29:03know, we did. I was just part of the incident too. There's
- 29:04a lot of officers that were involved that day that didn't necessarily get the recognition.
- 29:08Nobody left because of this, Like everybody came back to work and we
- 29:14continue to go out there and serve in the public every day. Could have
- 29:17been very easy for some people to not want to do that anymore, knowing
- 29:19like what happened a mile up the road. Yeah, and he's the one
- 29:23who, of course disarmed the shooter and ended up killing him. And you're
- 29:26seeing it with the Trump situation of the reaction of some of the Secret Service
- 29:32members. You can be trained your entire life for these moments in Secret Service.
- 29:36I mean, you assume you're never going to actually have to go into
- 29:38action like that, and then all of a sudden, you are much like
- 29:41Officer Robinson, and you don't know how you're going to respond, and for
- 29:44him to respond so flawlessly, you just can't say enough about what a hero
- 29:48he is exactly so again, I mean, these are mornings where you know,
- 29:52we like to get up and make your Mondays fun on a Monday.
- 29:55But this is, uh, this is a lot. There's a lot going
- 29:57on in our community, our society right now. And uh oof, that's
- 30:03all I gotta say. It's gonna be sunny today. I have eighty one
