- 0:00Today, we're going to talk about.
- 0:02The dangers of being asleep.
- 0:06In the waking world, what does this mean?
- 0:10Well, we're going to use a quote from Reality Transurfing where Vadim teaches us that.
- 0:16It's dangerous just to let somebody else do your thinking.
- 0:20And where your power lies is where you do your thinking.
- 0:26And that's what we're talking about today.
- 0:30You're listening to Kathie's Coaching Podcast.
- 0:32I'm your host, Kathie Owen.
- 0:34I have been a certified fitness trainer and certified life coach since 2002.
- 0:40Yeah, that's quite a long time.
- 0:42And on this channel, we talk about having a growth mindset, healthy habits, fitness, and even some Reality Transurfing.
- 0:52And today we are talking Transurfing on Thursday.
- 0:56And today we're talking about thinking for yourself.
- 1:01All right.
- 1:01Let's start with the quote of the day.
- 1:04And this is from the book Reality Transurfing.
- 1:07"The type of person who is asleep in the waking world can not allow themselves or others to be themselves.
- 1:13They create dependent relationships, which generate polarization and evoke the wind of balanced forces.
- 1:21Which brings people with diametrically opposed personality traits together in order to cancel out the dissimilarity between them." RealityTransurfing Vadim Zeland.
- 1:35The concept of Reality Transurfing proposes that there is a parallel reality.
- 1:40That exists beyond our physical world.
- 1:43Actually there are infinite parallel realities, and we can influence our experiences in the reality that we happen to be in, through our thoughts, our feelings and actions in the waking world.
- 1:56One of the tenants of this theory is the idea that the type of person who is asleep in the waking world can not allow themselves or others to be themselves.
- 2:07Are you looking for a way to deal with pendulums?
- 2:10Well, I created a download that will help you with just that.
- 2:14You could find that at www.kathieowen.com/ reality-transurfing This can create very dependent relationships, which generate polarization and evoke the wind of what Vadim calls balanced forces.
- 2:33And we're going to talk about that today.
- 2:37What does it mean to be asleep in the waking world?
- 2:40It refers to individuals who are not fully aware of their true selves, their desires and their potential.
- 2:48They are governed by society norms, expectations, and conditions, which prevent them from expressing their true selves.
- 2:57And this lack of self-awareness and self-expression can lead to a sense of dissatisfaction unfulfillment and create very dependent relationships.
- 3:09Dependent relationships are those that are based on the need for validation approval and security from another person.
- 3:16These relationships are often imbalanced with one person assuming the role of the giver and the other, the receiver.
- 3:24They give her may feel a sense of superiority or control while the receiver may feel a sense of inferiority.
- 3:32Or helplessness, this imbalance creates polarization as the two individuals become more and more distant from each other.
- 3:40So this reminds me of the victim victimizer theory.
- 3:44And of psychology that my therapist, Shary Davis had.
- 3:48And that is where there is a triangle and I'm going to have a picture on the YouTube thing, and I'm mostly going to include it in my article that goes along with this, there'll be a link to that in the show notes in the description below.
- 4:03But that triangle at the top of the triangle, there is what is called Victor or that's where we want to strive to be, because that means we are awake in this world.
- 4:15But there's also a victim and a victimizer at the bottom of it.
- 4:19And my best way to describe it is consider an argument.
- 4:23There's a victimizer, and then there's a victim.
- 4:26And that becomes an ever ending vicious cycle where we go from victim to victimizer victim to victimizer.
- 4:35And it never ends unless you get into Victor.
- 4:38So here, we're talking about dependent relationships where we have one who is the giver or the superiority of control and they control everything.
- 4:49And that is what I would say is the victimizer.
- 4:52And then we have the receiver who has a sense of inferiority on the other end of the spectrum.
- 4:58So how do we get out of that?
- 5:00Well, we make our way to Victor, or we wake up as Vadim is talking in this quote.
- 5:06Balanced forces is a popular topic in Reality Transurfing.
- 5:11And here we go, that circle eight, we go from victimizer to victim and the wind of balanced forces is a concept in Reality Transurfing and it refers to the natural forces that seek to restore balance in the universe.
- 5:26When there is an imbalance the wind of balanced forces brings people with diametrically opposed personality traits together in order to cancel out the dissimilarities between them.
- 5:38This can happen in dependent relationships where they giver and receiver are brought together to cancel out each other's dissimilarities.
- 5:47For example, a person who is overly controlling or domineering.
- 5:51May attract a person who is submissive and lacks confidence.
- 5:56This relationship may seem to work for a while, but eventually the wind of balanced forces will bring them together in a way that cancels out their dissimilarities.
- 6:05This may manifest as the submissive person becoming more assertive or the controlling person becoming more flexible.
- 6:14This quote from Reality Transurfing highlights, the importance of self-awareness.
- 6:18And self-expression and creating, fulfilling, and balanced relationships.
- 6:25When we allow ourselves and others to be themselves, we create relationships that are based on mutual respect, understanding, and support.
- 6:35On the other hand, dependent relationships are based on polarization and can lead to imbalance and dissatisfaction.
- 6:42By understanding the wind of balanced forces.
- 6:46We can learn to create relationships that are in harmony with the natural forces of the universe.
- 6:52So self-awareness is key, obviously.
- 6:55And today I'm going to give you 10 tips for building self-awareness.
- 7:01Number one practice, mindfulness, pay attention to your thoughts, your feelings and sensations in the present moment without judgment.
- 7:09So.
- 7:10My mentor, my coach, Joseph Rodrigues is currently talking about mindfulness practice from the Master Key System.
- 7:20I will have a link to that book in the show notes, but he talks about a mindfulness practice that is basically a meditation that we do every day, 15 to 30 minutes.
- 7:33And he says that to start out, you do it 15 to 30 minutes every day for seven days.
- 7:39And this will help you become aware of where you're not being mindful.
- 7:44And.
- 7:45And that is the number one tip for building self-awareness.
- 7:49But number two, keep a journal.
- 7:52Write down your thoughts, feelings, and experiences regularly, and reflect on your actions and decisions.
- 7:58So.
- 7:59I like to look at the, um, pruning shears of revision, which during the day you document five to 15 things where you got reactive or where you were proactive.
- 8:13And at the end of the day, you review your day, you go over your journal, you go over your notes.
- 8:19Where were you?
- 8:20Reactive?
- 8:20Where were you?
- 8:21Not reactive?
- 8:22And rewrite them with the pruning shears of revision on how you would like them to be.
- 8:29What happens when we do this?
- 8:30First of all, we become aware of limiting beliefs and a limiting belief.
- 8:35Is definitely somebody who lives in a dependent relationship or somebody who does not think for themselves.
- 8:42And they have no self awareness.
- 8:44So we want to become aware of our limiting beliefs and then rewrite them in a way that is more powerful.
- 8:51Number three seek feedback.
- 8:53Ask trusted friends.
- 8:55Coaches colleagues, therapist.
- 8:58For constructive.
- 9:00Feedback on your strengths and weaknesses.
- 9:03So what happens with me?
- 9:04I happen to be really hard on myself and I just realized this in the last six or eight months.
- 9:10And.
- 9:11I have sought feedback from my coach, from my mentors, from my close friends.
- 9:16Hey.
- 9:17Is this a realistic belief or is this me being hard on myself?
- 9:23And most of the time, it is me being hard on myself.
- 9:26And I rewrite those using the pruning shears of revision, because those are limiting beliefs.
- 9:33Number four, take personality tests.
- 9:36Use online personality tests to gain insight to your personality, traits, your strengths and areas for improvement.
- 9:44Number five challenge your assumptions questioned your beliefs and assumptions to identify any biases or limiting beliefs that may be holding you back.
- 9:55Oh my gosh.
- 9:56This one is really good.
- 9:58And when you find your assumptions are not correct, or that there is something wrong in there.
- 10:05You get out of that tunnel vision.
- 10:07You get out of thinking the way somebody else is forcing you to think and look at the world differently.
- 10:13We wake up as Vadim Zealand would say.
- 10:16Number six practice, self reflection.
- 10:20This is the pruning shears of revision itself.
- 10:23So self-reflection set aside time each day to reflect on your experiences and identify any patterns or beliefs or recurring themes.
- 10:33These will help you identify limiting beliefs, number one, and then also revise them so that they're more empowering instead of disempowering.
- 10:43Number seven engage in introspection.
- 10:46Take time to reflect on your values goals and your purpose in life.
- 10:51And i talk about this all the time.
- 10:53Because as your vision as your main objective main goal everything is related and this helps so much when you think like this.
- 11:06Because when you see okay this is something I'm working on and then you have a little problem over Here.
- 11:12And you're going hmm how is that related well when you engage in introspection.
- 11:17Which is number seven in this list you start to see that you reflect on your values your goals and your purpose in life.
- 11:24And you go oh wow that does Reflect this.
- 11:28This does go along with my vision which helps you stay on track and keep your goal.
- 11:35Number eight get out of your comfort zone.
- 11:37Try new experiences and challenge yourself to step outside of your comfort zone and gain new perspectives and insights.
- 11:45Number nine seek professional help consider working with a therapist or a coach to gain deeper self awareness and develop strategies for personal growth.
- 11:57Number 10 embrace feedback.
- 11:59Be open to constructive criticism and use it as an opportunity to learn and grow.
- 12:05This will just help in so many different ways.
- 12:08In conclusion it is a good idea to create self-awareness and confidence in order to avoid balance forces and falling asleep in the waking world as Vadim says.
- 12:19It helps to create relationships that are in harmony with the natural forces of the universe.
- 12:25That also can take responsibility on your part to bring your relationship into harmony.
- 12:32All right thank you for spending part of your day with me i trust that you found this helpful. If you know someone who could benefit from this please share it with them.
- 12:41And until next time i will see you next time.
- 12:45Peace out and Namaste.
