- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Can I blame Michael Cassfield for this?
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: Can I blame Bob Connelly for this?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: Can I put on a zebra shirt and just go out there?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: Scratch claw.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Up against the wall.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: Can I explain that one feeling right now, guys?
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe it.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's open up that raised ball.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: or can't believe U.S.C.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: is undefeated in the ATC.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, we're in the big tent, what the record, oh no!
- 0:42[SPEAKER_03]: Hello everybody, welcome back to Editor Radio.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_03]: This is the Carcaster Tour U.S.C.s 39.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: who is zero that's a zero that says zero thirty nine to nothing shut out at the Colosseum the Trojans over the bulldogs of Fresno State we're gonna talk about it give you our thoughts uh... listen to your guys' thoughts in the chat and so much more as always you can fellas and social media right after email us right after a fan set of comment our phone number
- 1:11[SPEAKER_03]: eight one eight six four three seven two two seven seconds for one show.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm your host Michael Castillo during a lot of my co-host here in the rancher's studio in Los Angeles At least it or tell her hello everybody Where do we be good mean I think we begin with where Fresno State ended Shut out
- 1:40[SPEAKER_03]: unbelievable performance by the defense 0 points after especially with with the defense coming up big in the fourth quarter to get the shot out a week six days six days after the defense got gasped
- 1:56[SPEAKER_03]: the last three drives of the game for touchdowns for for senator's a state huge huge huge big defense of performance holding president state to a hundred and sixteen uh one hundred and sixteen yards they fused the trotting of allowed since there's sixty nine nice nothing when overwatched in state in pulmon in 2008 at least take it away with your thoughts
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, this was exactly the performance that USC needed.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't want to get it twisted.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: This was simply a continuation of the performance that we saw from USC's defense, again, San Jose State.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: the main difference between this game and that game is that USC only asked from the first team from the first team.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, just overall is that USC only asked their third string players to get one stop on one drive USC their front line offense first team and most of
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: They've now shut out both teams that they faced in the first half, and they have shown that they are playing with a certain level of,
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: Stoutness and Surety that I I struggled to remember U.S.e.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: playing with in a long time I think that from the first and second team defense We have seen sure-handed tackling to the degree that I can't remember in a long while We have seen USC have truly standout players making truly standout plays
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I think GTA B is serious the MVP of the night.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: The stat sheet will not do anything about his performance justice in the slightest.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: On the stat sheet, he has one tackle, one tackle for loss, one QB-herry.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good game.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fine game.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: But he had an absolutely elite game.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: He forced two safeties that he won't get credit for.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: He was in that backfield, he was beating double teams, he was giving them nightmares in the center of the defense when he was lined up there, when he was lined up on the outside, he was giving them trouble, he looked stellar, he looked
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: at a level, at a ceiling that I wasn't quite sure that he would ever get to.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I think what we saw tonight was his best performance as a Trojan.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's easily.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: And he had a pretty damn good game last week too.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but it, it's not just, it's not just adversary.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: What we saw today was again, the linebackers, Desmond Stevens, Devon Bryant, looking capable, looking like I barely even noticed them in the best possible way, because the only time I noticed them is when they're up making plays in the run game.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: and not really seeing them get beat elsewhere.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we saw Alex Graham take a lead role at Nickel, being able to blitz from that Nickel spot.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: He ends with 1.5 tackles for loss.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: It could be hurried, a sack.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: Four tackles, he leads the team.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's the Alex Graham that we know can be a force at Nickel, a difference maker.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: We saw Cam Crawford again, stat she doesn't do him justice, he's got three tackles in the game, that's it.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: But he was looking quick off the line, he was looking disruptive.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: Kennedy Earl Lacker had a safety, a profit-brown continues the strong start to his season with a with an interception that was really just a matter of him being perfectly placed.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: Even if that ball was thrown better,
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably either getting a hand on it or getting an interception there.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: I've been really, really pleased with what Prof. Brown has shown.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Wafel didn't get a sack, but he still looks disruptive.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: He had a really good run stop off the edge.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's just so much to like about this defense, especially on the top line.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: Johnson's Williams continues to look shut down and You know, I think that one thing we have to keep in mind is that Fresno State is not a particularly great offense This is not one of the better offenses these are not the better Offensive weapons that USC will face this year Having said that USC has played plenty of teams over the past decade that
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: were not top level offenses were not top level playmakers and they made them look good at times and they gave up points to them at times and they they they they you know got things wrong at times and so for two games in a row against lesser opposition to have u.s.s.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: first team defense play so solid and stout and and results oriented
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: they're not giving up those points.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: They're not having those mental mistakes that cause an easy score.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: When they have a breakdown, they're immediately tightening up and getting the stop.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: In this game, it was just stifling for Fresno State.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: They had no hope.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_01]: uh... and it was very similar to what we saw in the in the first three quarters of the sand of the state game and then in the fourth quarter of this game you see finishes it out it was a great response from everybody uh... even when they cleared the benches for that last drive it was
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: obviously the tackling got a lot worse and the level of play took a dip, but they still fought through and got that stop in the end and the celebration at the end with Gary Patterson was so well earned, so well deserved and also just so gratifying because USC hasn't had those moments of being able to celebrate like that and haven't been able to celebrate a shutout.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it hadn't been a shot out of it, if Fresno said it had gone for the field goal there, what have still been one of the better defensive performances start to finish from USC in a long, long time.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: Because last year, we saw a defense that started to really come alive and look impressive in the second half, but we never saw a complete game performances from U.S. defense.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what they gave us tonight.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that alone is like warming my heart to a degree that just makes me smile.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that I'm going to draw too many conclusions about the season based on this game, not offensively or defensively.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: but I will say that like being able to even do this in the first place is such a feather in Gary Patterson's cap that I'm not like gonna start saying you know playoff or something like that
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I've been thinking that Gary Patterson is a good defensive coordinator, and the only question was, would the time-off show, would there be rust, would there be a lack of understanding of modern, of the up-to-date, up-to-the-minute offensive schemes and standards that we see in college football?
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: And so far, he's answering that question.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's answered the bell in the two games he's out and had an opportunity to do so.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that fills me with a lot of hope.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_03]: It was, yes, SCP Utah State 48, nothing two years ago.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_03]: This Fresno State team is not that Utah State team.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: This is the Fresno State team, especially after Rutgers got their ass handed to them by UMass yesterday.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think undoubtedly Fresno State, the best non-con opponent that S.C. has on the schedule.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_03]: And we've always talked about how Fresno State is always well coached.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_03]: They are always, you know, difficult to play and all those things.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_03]: I just pulled up CBS sports.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: They had all of their writers pick who's going to make the cultural role player from the group of six.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: None of those friends in the state in there as they thought.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: But like Tom Fonell, sorry, Chip Patterson has them as his number two team.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_03]: in the group of six.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: So like this is a team with playoff aspirations.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_03]: This is a team with a pulse.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: They were nine and four last year.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: Their their past defense last year was number two in the country and S.C. through for four hundred and twelve yards.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_03]: the most that they have allowed since 2001 against Nevada.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: But this is, this was a however, performance for the offense.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, there's the turnovers and those turnovers are surely an issue.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: But the safety is we're incredible.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: The defense was incredible.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: As a whole, Kennedy, Erlachar, Gda Abassiri, Luke Weifel.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_03]: Jamie and Winfield at the end of the game really wanted a tiffle really really bad.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted it bad.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_03]: Um, Prophet Brown looked good, Desmond Stevens had his moments.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_03]: You mentioned Cam Crawford like this was just such a good game with the exception of the two turnovers.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_03]: I have a hard time like like even thinking about nitpicking anything.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: This was like just flawless.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_03]: And I will I will nitpick some things later on, but yes, we can we can stick with the what the the the the the push up front offensively was not there in the first half But it clearly did not stop anything I see went to the screen game and had a lot of success success there they were able to throw the ball down fields like Everything was click like this is
- 12:36[SPEAKER_03]: this is also a good way to dispel a lot of the negativity stemming from the end of last week where last week so much of the negativity was oh they didn't finish hard they didn't they didn't cross their eyes and dot their teas and do what they needed to do at the end of the game well they did that today thoroughly they did that today you look at the first team defense
- 13:06[SPEAKER_03]: so far through two games.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: SE was 35-3 when the starters got pulled last week.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_03]: The starters got pulled at 32 nothing today.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: If you had given me six quarters of starters on the field on defense for U.S.E.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: and given me three points in those six quarters, I would have said absolutely, but also that's not gonna happen.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, and like you said, like, Fresno State isn't a world-beater offensively, but like, I expected this to be more of a difficult game for S.D.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: to move the ball on offense and it was not at all.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it was the running lanes weren't there, especially early on in the game that we thought that there could be, but I'm pulling up the quarter by quarter stuff, so, okay, yards per carry in the first quarter, it was 1.6 for SC, second quarter is 5.2
- 14:19[SPEAKER_03]: 3rd quarter, 3.7, 4th quarter, 3.8.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: They got really run heavy and predictable there, but they bounced back from a rough first quarter on the ground, women Jordan fumbles and bounces back, King Miller, literally, and fortunately broke that guy's ankle and he has career, which was awful.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: That was horrible.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_03]: came dicks and wide over a hundred yards Trent mostly under a hundred yards and and the other thing is uh... mr. mucca hand the chats is running looked awful dances uh... of my running always looks awful which is funny uh... and uh... dmitry says run blocking was honestly horrid i i'm not gonna i'm not gonna disagree but i will say this
- 15:11[SPEAKER_03]: That is the one thing that S.C. has been the best at of anything in the Lincoln Riley era is run-blocking and creating holes to run through.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like statistically, S.C. was the best run team in the country on a per carry basis last year.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: If that is where the problem area is, you can you can handle that.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_03]: We know that S.C. can run the ball in the big 10.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's not a problem.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_03]: could they run the ball more certainly but like they can run the ball absolutely ran the ball all over michick in last year in an i mean um... and so
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: fixing the problem areas from a week ago was huge.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_03]: Now you get the extra day off going into the Louisiana game, which is going into the road trip to play a Rutgers team that just got tickled back by UMass.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: So I think you've got to be feeling really good and Gary Patterson, especially has to feel good after the criticisms, rightfully so, of how the fourth quarter went for the things to explain.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Daniel in the chapter seven guys in the box.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_03]: So we throw all over them then you saw the run open up.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah We got a bunch of super chats though.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: We got to get to those All right, this is the first one the first ones from David Yes, this is what we've wanted touched down Trojans.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_03]: Please go certified to David touchdown Trojans There you go, David.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, of course be a retiring touchdown Trojans
- 16:51[SPEAKER_03]: You're retiring touchdown Trojans because the watch along hit the tonight was though the final watch along at least until like a bold game or something What a way to go out on though?
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was fun to end a watch along with a last second stop to seal this to seal the To seal the shutout.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: That was pretty fun.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah a lot of fun.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_03]: I had another one
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: This is King Vegeta 9 who joined us in the the watch along.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate this wouldn't have happened on the watch Bruncher.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_03]: Love you guys for us now King Vegeta 9 in gave us a super chat in the the watch along.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_03]: We appreciate your King.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's King is that King Miller.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_03]: Literally.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, but
- 17:37[SPEAKER_03]: And was calling out the What's Bruncher for not having watch-alongs.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_03]: So there's the, there's, there's that.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_03]: And then Dan pops in with a super chat that says, here's a donation to the microphone, victory fund.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we do need me mics.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: We do need mics.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: At least this one, I don't think it was a mic issue.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, I don't think it was, it was our fault.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_03]: Um, or any of the chances, Michael, could you do the watch on people don't watch for me people don't watch for me people watch for at least yet They want they want her reaction to things.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_03]: They want what she could say to these things.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody wants better.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: That is absolutely not the case.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Grant asks why is the watch going ending so I'll explain one more time.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, um, I am a full time editor and writer for fans.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: I did calm.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: I am the sort of
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: lead person on college football for Saturdays and we'll pretty much have everything on my shoulders for the Saturdays this season because of the way that staffing is working out.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I cannot afford to spend three and a half hours doing the cart doing a watch along.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: and then immediately jump into the car cast.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: It just takes up too much of my day.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: It keeps my eyes off of our news desk and everything that needs to be maintained.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll still be able to watch USC games, but I'm just gonna have split attention and I can't quite do that during the watch alone.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: You guys, if we did that during the watch alone, you would just get a lot of silence and then me doing my concentration writing face that my colleagues makes fun of.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_03]: The writing face that she does.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's a fair game.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's how I sit here and just like this.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: So not very, not very entertaining.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, unfortunately, it's just not gonna work out this season.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: I love doing the watch along.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: I really enjoy that film.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: I was so informed.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: So there was a lot of fun.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: I always have a lot of fun.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: But unfortunately, the day job pays the bills more than the watch along students.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, bills can be paid in more ways than one, like us talking about how my bookie is the perfect place to go head over with the NFL season coming up.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of wind lost totals.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about the wind lost total, all August over at my bookie for USC was 8.5.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_03]: S.C. was at nine and a half or sorry, I took the over on that at least it took the under But because I think S.C. is going to win nine games But the win total is there for the NFL as well.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: Will the Seahawks raise their championship banner?
- 20:34[SPEAKER_03]: Um, with the with the with the win, this is a question that you can, you can sort of ponder, see what Sam, but Sam Darnl can do over at my book, he signed up with my book, he promo code, ROT, ROT, and start your season off of the win, but on anything, anytime anywhere, must be 21 plus 18, plus and select jurisdictions, terms and conditions apply gambling problem, call 1-800 gambler or visit 1-800 gambler.net for free, confidential
- 21:03[SPEAKER_03]: Seven, at least he looks that's kidding to you my did I did I did I I am now guess second guessing myself worth That's the old rant.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's the rant.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh shoot.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was the there's there's there's questions about what the phone number is it's eight one eight
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: six fourth three one eight six four three seven two two seven two two seven the chat is wondering how to dial into the the red line that's yeah this is this is why elicia's memory is not to be trusted ever uh sorry eight one eight six four three seven two two seven dial into the red line give us a good it's a rave line tonight though
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's a rave line.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's a rave line.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, dialing.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: And those are the you leave a voicemail.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a call in show.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: So just seen them.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, leave a voicemail.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_03]: And then we'll we'll play those on Monday night when we talked about more fallout from this game.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_03]: S. C. 39 nothing win over Fresno State.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_03]: Labor Day night show, I guess.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: Think about it.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll be, I guess, I guess SMU Florida State may be just wrapping up when we, you know, when we get in there, but at least you know.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_03]: There were comments in the chat last week about one of the reasons that last week was a problem was because of things like season averages and that it's not that you don't know that you gave up 26 points to send us a statement.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_03]: Like when you're looking at your season average, that was supposed to be a game that was supposed to improve your season average where games
- 22:54[SPEAKER_03]: at the beginning of the season when you give up 28 points, that's a problem.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_03]: Well, now through two games, SC is allowed an average of 13 points per game.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's right back where it should be.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: Is it not?
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: It is and also averages really don't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: The grand scheme of things.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: If you're winning the games that you need to win, but yeah, an average is always
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: you know, shockingly average themselves out to what you actually are.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I think that fourth quarter performance was certainly certainly not what you wanted to see, but at the same time, like,
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: anybody who's actually looking to games should be using advanced statistics and all of those advanced statistics take garbage time stats out of the equation and so things like FPI, FPI, SP plus will not be factoring in the fourth quarter against San Jose State when they're looking at USC's metrics on that front.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it's far more about what you do in the first three quarters or whatever it
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: the the gaps in the in the game you know just in the math by the way yeah shout out to Dan and the chat um at least now averaging opponents or at their total defense averaging 226 yards on defense per game sounds good you take it you take it I want to what it would be if you just took the first three quarters against um it would be really good that's what it would be yeah
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's, and I think that's, again, the takeaways correctly or reasonably evaluating what does and doesn't matter from a game.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: And this is what I was getting on last week of, you know, the doomsdaying over the defense of performance when for the vast majority of the game with the players that are actually going to be heavily involved this season.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: the performance was great.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: And the performance took a nose dive when players who should not be seeing any real playing time this season were on the field getting, you know, made jokes of that like what we weigh as important was being very skewed in the wrong direction
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: This really was because USC, the way that they went about getting the stops in this game certainly for the first three quarters was more impressive.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: But the fourth quarter still doesn't really matter all that much, you know, like we should have been
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: We should have been feeling very good about the defense performance from the San Jose State game, just as much as we should be feeling good about this performance.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: even, like, especially with the shutout, which, if USC had given up a touchdown on that last drive, it doesn't change that defensive performance, you know, it's about what actually matters here and what matters is what USC did when the game was still actually in, in quite, I mean, not even in question when the game was still sort of in the meaningful portion
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: So, I think that's what we need to really focus on, and, you know, we talked about the defense, but I don't think we've talked a ton about the offense, because, you know, when you look at the offense, I mean, there are things I'm in a nitpick, I'm just not going to get into them right now.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: and U.S.C.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: has two true-freshmanar receivers who were above 100 yards and a freshmanar receiver who has caught two touchdowns in this game and he caught one last week right so he's already on three three touchdowns this season.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: To no kinds came back and scored a touchdown was not heavily you utilized in this game because you didn't need him to be Because you have those guys can't mix and why it and Trent mostly and you have Tron Baker popping up for a 27 yard catch and you have Mark Bowman catching three catches for 30 yards and you have Cory Sims Putting in like putting in work like you compared him to
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: Terry's Rogers, I think, or somebody else last week, and again, he was out there.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: Two catches, 45 yards out there, playing tough, and blocking, and doing all the things.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: Mark Bowman was out there blocking, and doing all the things.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: Just like the way that the freshman are able to get out there already,
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: and do all the things, not just the, of course, they can catch a pass, but they're out there blocking.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: They're out there running routes really crisply and intelligently.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: Those are things that just are such an advantage for USC that even people with the best and highest hopes for this freshman class, I don't know that people were expecting this.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: from them this quickly to the point where like if Torel enters the never play a snap this season like I'm not sure we would notice it at this point.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: if to no kinds was USC's third or fourth wide receiver like it wouldn't be to USC not I'm not saying that I obviously you want to no kind to be your like your guy and you want to relinquish and to be there.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but like it feels like at this point you could get through the season with just these fresh from our receivers there was talk way back up earlier in the chat about this being like is this the best freshman receiving class that USC has ever had.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_03]: And I think it's got to be because it's in the same seat.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_03]: Like, yeah, what's in Lee were back to back seasons, right?
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: Steve Smith was 2003.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_03]: Jarrett was 04.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Williams was 02.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like, none of those guys were in the same season.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so like this is kind of different and even the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the
- 30:03[SPEAKER_03]: the best receivers in the country.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_03]: That's obviously insane to say.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_03]: But when you when you look at what has happened to two games, and I understand it's San Jose State and it's Fresno State, and they need to prove these things against Big Ten competition.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_03]: I hear you a thousand percent.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'm with you.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: I was worried about the drop-off at receiver.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_03]: When you have to replace the bullet-knock-off winner in the Kyleman, and you have to replace Jacobi Lane, who had bullet-knock-off performances.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: And who is, like, happy and big games?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: You had the best, most impressive training camp and preseason of any rookie.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_03]: And he had 12 touchdowns two years ago.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_03]: And so, as it stands right now,
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: Like, there's like zero drop off.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: And it is crazy to say that there's zero drip.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_03]: That sounds insane.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_03]: But you're mostly doing.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_03]: And like, I don't know how you can't think that at this point.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_03]: That there's zero drop off from having the Belitnik off winner and a guy who had 12 touchdowns two years ago.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: If you told me, if you changed their numbers,
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: for mostly in Dixon Wyatt today.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: If you change them to was it eight and nine and six?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: Nine and six.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: I would not have eight and six.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, eight and six.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: I would not have blinked a second.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: I would have believed.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's fully form a Kylaman and fully form Jacobi Lane doing that today.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now, there's people in the chat who are rightfully saying, like, let's let's wait until we see what they can do against big 10 opposition in all of them.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's 100% correct.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: We do like we don't know that Trent Mosley can be as effective of a wide receiver against the best corners in the country as, you know, McCy Lemman or, or, uh, Jacob Lain was, but what they're doing right now is still the most impressive two two games against Crap-out opponents that any wide USC wide receivers I can remember.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm looking at this here in San Francisco's crap, though, they, they're not number two past defense.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we did talk about how their their past defense
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: was very good last year.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think you can, you can bemo in their offense.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: Their offense was 124th and FBI last year, but their defense was damn good.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_03]: And so like, yeah, low in the chatses, don't forget London, almond, Tyler Vaughn's pitman.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the 2019 receiver room was the deepest SC has ever had ever.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: And might ever have period.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: And those weren't all freshmen.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing, like they weren't all the same age.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_03]: This group is all freshmen and like we haven't even seen the best of Booby Feaster yet.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, that's the crazy thing is this is just mostly Dixon Wyatt and Tron Baker for the most part doing stuff.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: We still haven't seen the best of Booby Feaster.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: We still haven't seen Luke Weaver.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's someone else in that group that I'm leaving out, I think.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it is it is insane what everything is it's been put together by the way We talked about in the the watch a lot.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, a project to Zeno Sorry lost week lost week last week about Keaton Nixon Wyatt feeling like
- 33:36[SPEAKER_03]: Dianta Adams to me to me to me and maybe part of it's just because he wears this number I don't know but like he just he feels like the Vante Adams and they showed the Vante Adams on the field tonight because he's went to Fresno State and RG3 literally says the Katie W plays like the Vante Adams and yeah, Alex Rose and the chat says the Trent Mosley is Percy Harvon.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's an interesting comment.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: I've been going with Robert Woods, but I think that like, yeah, I think that well, we had people in the watch along saying you're reminds them of Reggie, you know, it's the comparison.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: But that's where the Percy Harvey thing.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, of course.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I, Trent Mosley is plain.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think the way people hoped Zachariah branch would.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think Zachariah branch is faster than Trent Mosley.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_03]: Zachariah branch has some more wiggle than Mosley.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_03]: But like, not by much.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_03]: and then you add in the fact that like mostly is plain like a veteran receiver who is getting open running routes like very well who is very physical despite not being a big dude he's running through guys he is
- 35:02[SPEAKER_03]: keeping his legs moving and getting an extra tackle, I mean, an extra yard when he's being tackled.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Keaton Nixon Wyatt, I think you kind of assumed that's in his bag when he's six four and he's just a big dude.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_03]: He's like square, he's so big and muscular.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_03]: Trent Mosley isn't built that way, but plays that way.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's what makes him so, you know, impressive to me.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then, and then, stop to bring down.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_03]: And then, just to go back to my ovary really quick, there was a question in the chats.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: Let me grab it really quick.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: From Randy, do you know what my ovus QBR is so far this season?
- 35:47[SPEAKER_03]: A, I have to ask, what do you mean by QBR?
- 35:49[SPEAKER_03]: Which, which one?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_03]: QBR, the ESPN proprietary stat, I have no idea.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_03]: What is his passer rating?
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: The college football passing efficiency pass rating?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's 218.2, through two games.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's 49 and 54, 635 yards, five touchdowns.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, solid.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: I like these are the numbers that that Caleb Williams was putting up at the beginning of his two seasons that I say he put up some crazy numbers at the beginning of the both of those seasons.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_03]: These are very similar.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that like I again, I understand that it's not a big ten opponent, but.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_03]: Jade might have a might have had his most impressive game for me today, and it was, it was, it's not like there was one pass that was incredible or anything.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: He just did everything right.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: In that first quarter when he was under a lot of drafts, he was evading pressure, slowing things down,
- 37:03[SPEAKER_03]: To the guy who was there when he needed to, checking down when he needed to check down, he was making the right reads.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_03]: For a long time in this game, the only incomplete pass that he threw, that he threw, was in the first quarter on a third and long to Trent Mosley, where the evades press
- 37:26[SPEAKER_03]: and puts it to where only Trent mostly can get it.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_03]: He traps it and ends up not making the catch, but like, if you're going to make a play on the run outside the pocket after you've created an opportunity to move the launch point away from the pressure,
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: putting it in a place where only a receiver can make the catch and throw it as calmly as you can and he he did that like that was he like the Jonas Williams mistake from last week in an mean he had to incompletions in this game and both of them were that yeah both of them were moving around on the run having to get the ball out and putting it low
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: and giving his receiver a chance and nobody else a chance, his decision making in this game was outstanding, especially like you talked about underdress in that or certainly in the first drive.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: And that's one of the things that we need to see from my other this season, because, you know, the decision making, the interceptions and the like, haven't always been perfect, and it has been frustrating at times.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: but this is why you have to feel good about bringing back a senior veteran starter because this is the kind of this is the kind of performance that a guy who has started a bunch of games in this system that has been around the block who has made the mistakes that Jonas Williams did and learned from them yes yeah this is what he looks like at this point yeah and that's why last week i said look i did
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: Jonas Williams needed to make that mistake.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_03]: He needed to make that mistake and put that mistake on film so we could learn from it.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: Jade Mayave is a ton of those mistakes that you can go back and look at.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: This is also why you don't want to start freshman quarterbacks because it's, you know, it doesn't hurt you if Jade and Jane and what Jonas Williams in the fourth quarter is throwing that in her
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's just a learning moment.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you watch Colorado and see Juju Lewis, who is literally, it has been learning on the fly since last year and continues to, you know, have those mistakes and they're costly because they're in the actual portion of the game that matters.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: That makes a difference.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: yeah um absolutely so as he went 39 nothing let's run through some more statistics here running game let's talk about the the running game king miller 15 carries 45 yards only average three yards per carry i those numbers are atrocious that's that's tough for king
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he was fine.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he ran a really nice run where again, unfortunately he like ruined that guy's career.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: And there was there were a couple of runs that kill his average that just get blown up in the backfield and he does really have anything to do with that.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_03]: It has nothing to do with that.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: My overarching thoughts on the run game are that U.S. he clearly has good running backs.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: looked a little bit.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, certainly looked more shaky, more, um,
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: vulnerable in this game to Fresno's sort of getting into the backfield very quickly.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think that when USC was trying to pull guards, it wasn't always working, pulling the tight ends, wasn't always working.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: Fresno State was just getting into the backfield and disrupting the play too quickly.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's a major concern.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: That is something that USC has to clean up because as I was
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: Fresno State's defense of front isn't even close to the level of defensive front that USC will be playing the season.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oregon or Ohio State, Indiana have absurd defensive fronts, and if USC wants to make the playoff, they have to deal with at least one of them, you know?
- 41:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I need to see more from the offense blind.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: I will concede to you that they did settle down a little bit and started to get the under control later and make the platform for trade in my office.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_01]: In the past protection got much, much better and in the run game they were starting to sort of settle in and Fresnastate was stacking the box and really didn't want to get beat by the run.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a factor.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: If there are, if there are any concerns that come out of this game, my chief concern is that offensive line, uh, that that performance is not good enough to take USC where they need to go this year.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: The defensive for the defensive front was another question for me going into the season, not a doubt, just a question.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: And they so far had been answering that question 100%.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: The offensive line has not been tested considerably more than the other side, but in this game, the level of play must be higher than what we saw tonight.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, I agree.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_03]: But again, it's a nitpick on a night in which they were, they won 39
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: Why, why was it only 39?
- 43:04[SPEAKER_03]: Two humbles are a big, big, big problem.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_03]: And a fourth down in which they couldn't capitalize.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_03]: That couldn't be pushed on a case.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the third and one, and then I'm on fourth and short.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, like, I'm not going to say that the offensive line is the only reason.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: that U.S. didn't score more points in this game.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: They certainly didn't do the job that they needed to do on that fourth-down stuff or the third-down before it.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: You can't blame them for the the the the the fumbles because those are the ball carriers fault at the same time like the first drive only works.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: The first drive only works.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: Because Jade might have a Trent Mosley, Sean Baker, and Cadendix and Wyatt are that good.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that it will be harder to overcome an offensive line having that level of performance against better secondaries, against better pass rushes, all of that kind of stuff.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's not the end of the world.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: You can bounce back from this kind of performance, all of that.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: But I think this is a reminder, before we start writing tickets to the playoff, like that is an area of concern.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm with you, the other thing about the running game that I think is sort of slight concern for me is
- 44:29[SPEAKER_03]: the tread on the tires.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_03]: King Miller had, was it 15 carries a week ago?
- 44:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, another 15 tonight.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_03]: When he didn't need to.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_03]: When he didn't need to.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: They had him out there with the second team offensive line.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know why.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_03]: Sean Austin, the Sean Rado, Riley Wormley, those guys were all healthy.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_03]: They all got in the game.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_03]: Give them some more run.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_03]: Give them some more run.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I am curious
- 45:00[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a world in which Lincoln Riley views next week as the Lee Hannah's not an FCS opponent obviously, but like as of these three as the one that he treats us like an FCS game in the sense of like do you get more rotation in that one offensively at least to get those guys in there and then
- 45:26[SPEAKER_03]: You have more rest for Waymo and King Miller going into Rutgers.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's your last chance.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's your last chance to do that because you can't do it.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know Rutgers just got jiggle bagged by UMass, but you can't do that on the road with Rutgers.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, first and foremost, because you're going to have a travel squad.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: So you might not bring half of those guys, although they might have to, I don't know how many running backs they'll bring.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: But.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: it's you know i i think it is their last opportunity and i i would obviously they disagreed this week and last week but i would not put this mileage on wavened or king yeah if i didn't need to and you definitely didn't need to have king in as late as he was especially because all stins in there and looks quite good yeah four carries twenty yards warmly is your third running back and he gets one carry in the
- 46:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 46:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to see more from those guys.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_03]: Talk about Wayman Jordan.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_03]: I thought Wayman Jordan had a really good second half.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: He had his moments in the first half, but he has the fumble, which of course brought out the questions in the watch along does Wayman Jordan have a fumbling problem.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: This is a third fumble at SCN8 games.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_03]: I tend to think that like those things are a small sample size and yes, having statistically one fumble every 40 touches is a problem at the same time like it's a small weird sample size.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was good for him to get more run and build his confidence back up.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_03]: I understand that you should take somebody out and sort of punish them for their fumble and whatnot, but also you need to
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: build up the confidence of these guys.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_03]: This is why I think that we're so great about John Asholyamst tonight.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_03]: Six of six, 63 yards.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_03]: That's all after that horrific intersection he threw last week, right?
- 47:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you need these guys to build up their confidence when they make a mistake.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 100% agree.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I think not all fumbles are created equally, and the kind of fumble that Wayman loses here is not really the one that like sparks a red flag for me.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's upside down.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: on his way to the ground in a weird, contorted body position and the ball gets knocked out.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, I'm not excusing a fumble.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: You cannot fumble and they took him out for the better part of a drive after that.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: But also, like, came Dixon Wyatt's fumble.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: is the kind of fumble you cannot have.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's a ball security issue.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, uh, women's is, uh, it's not the one that scares me that like feels replicable or, um, one that indicates that he has a ball security problem specifically.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes you're just coming downweared and it's hard to hold on to the ball.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's let's get into the chat a little bit more.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_03]: We got some things that we've sort of marked down.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_03]: Where is it?
- 48:55[SPEAKER_03]: No, we've got through most of those.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_03]: Did you have more thoughts here?
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: Just about the game.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: because we can we can talk more about the game in general unless you want to stay on the runnybacks.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_03]: No, we don't have to stay on the runnybacks.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_03]: What what talk to me?
- 49:17[SPEAKER_03]: Take it over.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I think that my question for every game in the in the lead up here is does this performance move USC closer to competing against Oregon?
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: and we talked about like building confidence in the running backs.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think this builds a lot of confidence in a lot of people.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously the defense, you're building a ton of confidence.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: She'd have a series has to be at, you know,
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: At the top of the world right now, you have a learning moment for Luke Wafel with the you roughing the pastor, but you're sort of seeing Cam Crawford start to come alive a little bit.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_01]: Desmond Stevens still looks as confident as I've ever seen.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: Certainly as confident as I've seen him.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: at USC, but also one of the more confident looking linebackers, middle linebackers certainly in general that USC has seen in a while.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: profit brown looks confident john his Williams looks confident the corners uh... while still playing off way further off and then then then i think any of us want uh... still you know had a couple moments so john his Williams didn't get credit for that p.b.u.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_03]: he didn't it's not in the it's not the stats
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think that what fills me with the most confidence here is just USC is starting to
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: back up a certain mentality, the kind of mentality that suggests you can get a shut out.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: You can hold a team from doing anything in the first half, which by the way last year was like the opposite situation.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: USC was good in the second half in the second half of the season.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: miserably bad in the first half.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: So USC doesn't need to grow into games defensively right now.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_01]: USC is coming into games feeling like nope.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: We can stand up to you.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: We can stop the run.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: We can get to the quarterback.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: We can do this in that.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that alone is such a huge help.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: This is why the season playing out the way that it does is a huge help to USC to get this like ramp up into that Rutgers game that
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: frankly looks more scary than ever in my view because now you as you as you as every reason to go in feeling overconfident to play red cars across the country.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I-
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying like the pessimist in me gets what you're saying, but but also I watch I watched that whole game and it was it was bad.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: They looked terrible.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: It was bad.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was extremely bad.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_03]: There's a there's a world in which of the of the four pre-organ games.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_03]: Rutgers might be the worst.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's just, which is insane to say when kind of he's going to be the toughest it kind of needs to be uh, at this point, um, you know, so, you know, but like I just like USC going out there and building up confidence the way that they have um, while also still feeling like this team is leaving points on the board offensively like we know this offense can be better than we said.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: This offense is better than what is it 35 points?
- 52:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's the thing too, like yeah, I think there were points left on the field here.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think you've also added the thing about there just haven't been there many times.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know is this a timing issue?
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's is this all the rule changes that have gone into college for both the last couple years about the clock running is that what this is it's got I mean I think it is also you know and I noticed you see taking the clock down pretty far on you know sooner than I remember them starting to do that sure you see had the first drive is a five minute drive
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: the the drive in the third quarter is an eight-minute drive.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: The next drive is a five-minute drive.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: The next drive with Jonas Williams is six minutes and 47 seconds.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like those are long those are long drives.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: So you know it's partially U.S.E's style by in the second half U.S.E's actively killing clock, which is why in the second half they only have three actual drives.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there was one point where in the second in the second drive of the game, there was already like three minutes to go in the first quarter, which was sort of wild.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I think SC is better than the the offense has shown that they are better than the 42 and 39 points that they have put up there.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but part of that is just because we have an expectation that a Lincoln Riley offense can drop 60 at any moment.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, and this game specifically, which might not be fair, but like that's what the expectation is for these games.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: In this game specifically though, two turnovers.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_01]: you can't have two turnovers.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then a turnover on down, so it makes it three turnovers.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's it's, but I will say all offseason, if you told me S.C. scored a 39 against friends to stay down, take it.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: 100%.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's why I say I'm not reading too much into this because if USC had actively wanted to score more points, rather
- 55:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, I think that that you start to see different scorelines, um, it doesn't be who USC took go crazy.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: and you know, put players at risk and all of that kind of stuff.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_01]: So like, it's not a huge worry.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_01]: Unless you start to see two turn over games every week, you know?
- 55:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_03]: There was a question where, when did I see it about the, the lack of long runs?
- 55:52[SPEAKER_03]: Trojan, Trojan fights is any concern on, on no big chunk runs, two games in a row.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: They defined a big run as being 10 plus.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_03]: They were six of those.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_03]: They just has not been a run longer than 20 yet.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_03]: There has not been a 20-yard run, which I think, yeah, is concerning, but also, like, I would rather have 10-yard run, I'd rather have a lot of 10-yard runs than a few 20-yard runs in the sense of,
- 56:27[SPEAKER_03]: Those should be more repeatable and an example of what your run game is than the explosive explosive runs.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_03]: Also like I have a hard time with runs because like a ADR touchdown run.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_03]: or a 24-yard touchdown run.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_03]: Probably the same run.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: The 80-yard one is just longer because there was more feel to run with.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 56:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is not something I'm stressing too much because these are two running backs that we know have breakaway ability.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think that this is some sort of like area where USC is lacking.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think that this is just sometimes the safety doesn't bite on the run and you know, or teams are just playing against the run specifically and don't want to get beat.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: And there's less room to maneuver.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: This is also a U.S. team that's going to be throwing the ball just as often as it runs and you know, has big chunk passing plays that take them across midfield and down into the tighter area of the field and where it's just much harder to break a 30 yard run or something like that.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not I'm not stressing it.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_01]: The big plays were certainly there in the passing game.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: There were nine big gains on in the passing game, that's 15 plus yards.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like, explosive news can come from one side or the other doesn't, it doesn't necessarily like, it's not a zero-sum game about whether or not you have enough explosive runs if you have some explosive passes and the like.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm okay with a lack of explosive, explosiveness if you are methodical, and I think that the running game was methodical enough tonight, even if you would have liked to see more of a Yars per carry average for like King Miller.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it was Fresno State's, I have it pulled up.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to guess Fresno State's longest run in Fresno State's longest pass?
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: uh the past is probably like 12 yards 17 yards they had to wait both of these one that last drive right uh really both of the last drive maybe like a run of like 12 also say the yeah fourth both in the fourth I think
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, both in the fourth.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was on the same drive in the fourth.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: Two 17 yard pass plays.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: Those were their only pass plays of above 15 yards.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_01]: And they had one gain of more than 10 yards.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: That was the 11 yard keeper from Mandel.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what else there is to say about this game.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_03]: It was a hell of a game for S.C. One that I think that you should feel really, really good about, especially coming off of the week one game in which you saw the first teamers go up 353.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: And the reserve players struggle in that fourth quarter.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_03]: And they don't do that in this game.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_03]: S.C. gets to the big win.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_03]: Paul, I have Paul the Chatses, Rod O'Meter 9.5.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm probably close, I'd be close to that.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I have one more thing to say this time last year, USC's first two games, they were penalized five times for 45 yards and eight times for 93 yards.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_01]: This year, they were penalized five for 34 against San Jose State and three for 35 of Fresno State.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_03]: The three in this game there was a there was an off side.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_03]: No, there was a league shift.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_03]: There was the the the rough in the past and then what's the third one holding.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_01]: Holder.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_01]: The one that we weren't sure if it was going to be PI and it was holding on Jordan Crowder.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: Also.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_01]: They're not showing that illegal shift.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's fine.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_01]: They separated USC's penalties.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: So it was five penalties for 45 yards.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_01]: The legal shift in the fall start for USC.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think the fall start was on a punt.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: And then rough in the past are really go black and back and holding.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_03]: Um, big J.C. in the Chatses Senate Senate Senate say one tonight.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_03]: They beat Eastern Washington.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_03]: Was it like.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_03]: It was our Eastern Michigan, like 2721.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_01]: So that was on the road.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_01]: So not a not a terrible result for them.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_01]: Eastern Washington miss Michigan won their first game.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, over.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_01]: Was it sack state?
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to a couple things I've pinned here.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_03]: You got something?
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_01]: Dog's here.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: What does jiggle bag to mean, Michael?
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, sorry.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_03]: You were going on the the the one that I wasn't going to go to.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_03]: So sorry.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_03]: Dog's here says what is jiggle back.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_03]: Me.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_03]: To get jiggle back this to really get really get a bag jiggled.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you got your bag jiggle.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_03]: Do you really got me.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_03]: You really got me.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_03]: You got Molly want.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you got a turtle bonked.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, uh, uh, uh, Smurlboreft Smurlboreft?
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_03]: Um, Uh, You got, you got tummy wifft?
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, any of those things, uh, absolutely, uh, work there.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_03]: Um, all right, low so, uh, uh, in the, in the chats is for tomorrow's games, there are any upsets, any upset alerts.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to run through, I've got the top 25 scoreboard here.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_03]: We're just going to run through the top 25 scoreboard and anything that comes up your mind.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: North Texas, Indiana.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_03]: Do you care?
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be a, a driving East Carolina, Alabama, and got nothing.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_03]: uh... ball states a higher state that has like sixty-three did nothing written all over it to me uh... tenancy state george fcs tenancy state that'll be a massacre boysy state organ is going to be fascinating boysy state sort of the odds on favorite to be the group of six winner uh... and to go into the playoff
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_03]: I listen to the solid verbal last night and Dan's take away was like, this is not not going to be the boysy state game from two years ago.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_03]: they don't have ascent and gentle.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, organs of 20 24.5 point favorites.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think that organs probably going to roll here while I hope that Boise state makes it a game.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I don't, I don't, that's probably wishful thinking.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_01]: Texas Texas State.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_01]: Penn State Marshall.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_01]: I want to point out my colleague at fancited.com.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_01]: Cody Williams wrote our upset predictions for this week.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_01]: He has three games.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_03]: We haven't.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't mentioned two of them.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_01]: But the one of them is Marshall upsetting Penn State.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_03]: I will listen to it.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_01]: I, he likes, he likes Marshall's quarterback, Carlos still Rio Wilson, incredible name.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_01]: Really, he's not, he's not super convinced by Penn State's defensive front.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_01]: And he says the nickname lines offense doesn't move me, which is where because it's basically the Iowa State offense.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_03]: But it's a, it's a first game.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_03]: with a new head coach like things could be little a little weird or it's going to be like all the juice in the world for them yeah so yeah I mean I could I could see that game getting weird FCS Furman and Tennessee no one cares I would Northern Illinois that could get funny that has I think
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_01]: I was a 31-point favorite.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_01]: I am shocked.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_01]: They think Iowa can score 31 points.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I wouldn't take Iowa there.
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_01]: Give me 23 to nothing or 23 to three there.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_01]: Something like that, yes.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_03]: Texas A&M Missouri State, sure.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_03]: Texas Tech Abelink Christian has 77 nothing written all over it to me.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_03]: Texas Tech with all the stuff that they've had to deal with this offseason.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like they want 80, just to get it out there.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have thoughts on the Death Valley match?
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: Clemson, LSU.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_01]: I, um, I think Clemson will keep this rather close.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I think like LSU is a weird lock for me.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I just don't get a glimpse in my in this game.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think it has boring boring, boring, 1710 win all over it.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_03]: Western Michigan, Michigan, that has boring 34, 7.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is, this is a cow-witting him team now.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_01]: BYU playing Utah Tech.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_01]: They are 51 point favorites today.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_03]: I learned that Utah Tech has moved up to the FCS.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_03]: When did that happen?
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know about Utah Tech?
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_03]: No, formerly Dixie State.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they were Dixie State in the Incent George.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_03]: And they changed the name for very obvious reasons.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_03]: Controversially, unfortunately,
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but yeah, it's Utah Tech now same church.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's why I'd never heard of them.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, that that is why.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, can I share the two other upsets cow over UCLA.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_01]: Is that an upset?
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're CLA's favorite by doing that on the road.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think that game is going to be...
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_01]: It would be.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think it will be an upset if CalB's CLA simply because the Bob Chesney hype.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_01]: has been hyping like nationally, right?
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I think if you say they lost their opener, it would, it would kind of change the area.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_03]: It does have back 12 after dark, right?
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_03]: No, it does.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_03]: It really does.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then the other one is Louisville over Ole Miss on Sunday.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_01]: I see that as possible for sure.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, all right.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_03]: The chat says, um, Paul and L.A. Arsenal Chelsea thoughts.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_03]: Sunday morning.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_03]: Arsenal Chelsea.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_03]: Um, one one.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_03]: One one.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_03]: I go to you two two.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_03]: One one.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_03]: Gel Pedro.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how it gets in there.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_03]: Let's jump up for us somehow, from Cole, of course.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Liverpool and USC won on the same day.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_01]: Look at that.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_01]: Look at that.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_01]: You see them both to play on Friday is more often.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's Montiabari in the chat, our friend Simone.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_03]: Flogan Gloft and Biffelbottomed.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_01]: Biffelbottomed is...
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_01]: This is my favorite one.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's a mouthful, small, and glazed.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_03]: Biffle bottom is really good, but just make me think of Greg Biffle, rest in peace.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_01]: Lamont says, I like the simple, we looked at us.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_03]: That is fair.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we'll be back.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm roll out, roll, I'm already says, how is the room temperature and how we're dressing and bad you're doing?
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_01]: The room temperature is lovely.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_01]: I can't see it.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_01]: I can't see it either, but it's, it's probably like 71.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, here's a question for the people watching this.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_03]: So we've talked about it.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_03]: We have a window unit AC and our bedroom and we have like one of those rolling air conditioners with the big tube that sticks out the window here inside the studio.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_03]: On Wednesday's episode, the preview, I thought the audio was terrible in listening back to it in part because of the air conditioner because it created a hum and then our roadcaster has like an automatic like a noise gate situation and so like when you're not talking it like lowers the microphone volume and so
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_03]: When at least he would talk, it would be a lot of, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_01]: Dan says you should be AC maxing.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: We are AC maxing by the way in the bedroom.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like there was there was the day last week where I came in it was my classic like coming into bed at 5 AM deal.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_03]: And I looked at the little thermator that we have on your your nightstand it's at 61.5.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_01]: 61.5.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to call it a medical issue and I will continue to AC Max without shame because I have autoimmune issues and being called is very, very helpful to me.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: So on torscentagged is so good.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_01]: all right, we'll wrap up there.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it's.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and the dogs are good.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're both sleeping.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Jesse sleeping against the door.
- 1:11:38[SPEAKER_03]: If you watch the, uh, the, the watch along bad you're made an appearance during the, bad you're, bad you're made an appearance.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be cutting up the, uh, the watch along clips and putting them on TikTok.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_03]: And I can upload them to YouTube also, but like, I think that'll, that'll be clipped.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_03]: So they look bad for God, so she even says they didn't hear it in the last video.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_03]: Don't hear it tonight, Paul says sound good and aka says didn't notice it.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_03]: So all right.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_01]: So the answer audio's are is if it's overruled again.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but the audio's are keeps failing.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_03]: Keeps failing.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_03]: There's always something.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_03]: There's always something.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_03]: All right, at least I made it.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_03]: with the the burn, but I think I need to reapply the burn cream.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_01]: So we got the people on the carcass don't know anything about this.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_03]: But they don't, but that that makes it even funnier.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Right before the the the watch along started, Michael was making dinner.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_01]: And he burned his hand.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's got blisters on his on his palm.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_01]: So and it's it was a harm.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_01]: There was a harm.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_03]: That one's going to get that reference.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_03]: So we live with a family member who needs a little bit of extra care.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_03]: And so that's why we've moved.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_03]: And
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_03]: I was making dinner and I thought I was, I thought I had put the spatula in the spot that would be fine, the metal spatula, and of course.
- 1:13:19[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't realize that the end of it was literally like in the burner heat or something like that and because it was like underneath something else I don't remember and I grabbed it and it was one of those things where it was so hot and I couldn't even open my hand to throw them up.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_03]: is terrifying.
- 1:13:38[SPEAKER_01]: So we we rushed delivered some burn cream for that arrived in the first quarters.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_01]: And he's been a trooper all night doing all this producing and stuff.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_03]: Well, also the light again has
- 1:13:53[SPEAKER_03]: Is it kicked in?
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's kicked in.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like I told you at a half time at a half time that like I wish the lighter cane took the pain down from like an eight to like a zero and it took like an eight to like a two and a half and it's been it like a one
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_03]: So we're getting better, and I'll put some more cream on there.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_01]: We should put some cream on there and put an actual bandaid on it.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think that'd be good.
- 1:14:20[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll go do that now.
- 1:14:21[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_03]: Enjoy your long weekend.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_03]: I for one.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_03]: I, as weird as it is that SC is 2 and 0 before most teams still kick off.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_03]: I love playing Friday nights this weekend.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_01]: getting Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of college football.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, having to worry about USC.
- 1:14:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's wonderful.
- 1:14:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's beautiful.
- 1:14:46[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_03]: Beautiful.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_03]: Beautiful.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_03]: So all right, we'll see you guys next time.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_03]: Be sure to check out the clips when we post the clips and follow us everywhere you need to follow us.
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_03]: Give us your your calls into the red line eight when eight six four three seven two seven.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_01]: Just like what's suck it.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_01]: What's Bruin show?
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_01]: Because I've had people.
- 1:15:07[SPEAKER_01]: Sex and ask, what do you say after the phone number?
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's suck it.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_01]: What's brewing show?
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_03]: Because they said suck it.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_03]: Rain of Troy because
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_03]: That when I lived in Arizona, and we were doing pods, where we were doing pods on Skype, pre-zoom, and we were doing pods on Skype, we were trying to say something in the units, we were trying to say that the old phone number, which literally came up today.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_03]: the old phone number and it used to end in one U.S.C.
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_03]: and so we would try to say it in unison one U.S.C.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_03]: and we could not do it because it would be slightly off because of the lag of us recording on Skype.
- 1:15:57[SPEAKER_03]: So our friends, Jake, Bill, Mike, over at the What's Bruinshow,
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_03]: made fun of us about how we couldn't do this and so they were in person they record in person in a garage and so they did it and would say second what's a renautory second renautory because as a as a big at us and then we have been sucking it back to them
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_03]: I have her since.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, so.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_03]: All right until next time.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see you.
