- 0:02Speaker 1: Happy Monday hipness, Bron, Are you allergic to Monday's skip?
- 0:08Speaker 2: A little bit? I was hoping to sneak that little
- 0:10Speaker 2: last tissue, and before that came.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Out, I obviously would ignore you, but I couldn't if
- 0:15Speaker 1: they heard it, so then I have to acknowledge it
- 0:17Speaker 1: so that I don't ignore it, or they say why
- 0:19Speaker 1: did you ignore his sneeze and say, actually, what are
- 0:21Speaker 1: you supposed to say?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Bless?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I wore this hat for AJ returning back to the
- 0:26Speaker 2: States from a fun Scotland trip, it.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Looked like, Yeah, it was good.
- 0:29Speaker 5: It was fun, a lot of golf, a lot of walking,
- 0:32Speaker 5: got all my steps in, a little bit more drinking
- 0:35Speaker 5: than I would have liked to have.
- 0:37Speaker 4: I don't actually know.
- 0:38Speaker 5: It wasn't more than I would have liked to but
- 0:40Speaker 5: we drink a lot of alcohol. Got to play some
- 0:43Speaker 5: awesome courses. I know, kid, you were over there not
- 0:45Speaker 5: too long ago.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Beautiful country, beautiful people, fun people, man, what a group
- 0:49Speaker 4: of fun people. Scottish people were great.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Golf courses are great, as you would expect in Scotland,
- 0:55Speaker 5: where golf was kind of invented.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Oh you know what we call best more than anything?
- 0:59Speaker 5: Kip all good weather only had two holes where it
- 1:02Speaker 5: rained on us the whole week. Other than that it
- 1:05Speaker 5: was like seven. I was sixty five ish to seventy
- 1:09Speaker 5: and sunny and barely any wind.
- 1:10Speaker 2: It was fabulous, barely any wind. That's impressive. That makes
- 1:14Speaker 2: the whole trip though, is getting good weather. I think
- 1:16Speaker 2: we only got rained on the first day and the last.
- 1:19Speaker 2: But the first day we got hailed too. Oh no, yeah, no,
- 1:24Speaker 2: I think trying to line up a pot it looks
- 1:27Speaker 2: up and starts getting pelted in the forehead with.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Nope, we would have walked right off the course, bath,
- 1:35Speaker 4: right off the course. It was great. There was a
- 1:37Speaker 4: wonderful trip. I'm happy to be back. Yeah, it was.
- 1:41Speaker 4: It was great.
- 1:41Speaker 5: As you know, people are great. Foods kind of man.
- 1:43Speaker 5: It's gotten better, though, I will say the food has
- 1:45Speaker 5: gotten better. But if you haven't had hagas, haggis is hagis.
- 1:49Speaker 2: No.
- 1:50Speaker 4: But we drank it's like some kind of sausage in
- 1:53Speaker 4: Scotland's famous for it. You know what. We drank a
- 1:55Speaker 4: lot of.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah, fat ish, yeah, of course things. I don't know.
- 2:00Speaker 2: It's not it's not good.
- 2:01Speaker 3: It's terrible, unappealing name. I'll tell you that.
- 2:03Speaker 4: You know we uh drank a lot of baby Guinness.
- 2:07Speaker 4: We ever had a baby Guinness. It's in Bailey's. It's
- 2:11Speaker 4: a shot and it's only and it tastes like guinness.
- 2:14Speaker 4: We drank.
- 2:17Speaker 5: A lot of these because they were easy and every time,
- 2:21Speaker 5: I mean it was like as soon as one was
- 2:22Speaker 5: gone and there was there was what six or eight six.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Eight of us.
- 2:25Speaker 3: That's like a dessert.
- 2:26Speaker 4: I mean it was.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think, Yeah, do you have any fun caddies?
- 2:34Speaker 4: I had one.
- 2:35Speaker 5: There was two caddies I couldn't understand. One was that
- 2:37Speaker 5: Trump Turnberry and one was.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Uh at uh.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Not of course uh Western Gales. I couldn't understand the
- 2:45Speaker 5: guy Trump, the Trump the caddy I had at Trump Turnberry.
- 2:49Speaker 5: I was like, dude, you're not You're not speaking English.
- 2:51Speaker 5: I know you are, but you're not speaking English.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Well we're gonna spek English for most of the next
- 3:01Speaker 1: hour and a half. So yeah, let's do that. Let's
- 3:04Speaker 1: actually charge. We'll save that other thing for slap. Let's
- 3:07Speaker 1: charge since it's some breaking news here. Right before the
- 3:10Speaker 1: show started out, Dana Brown not coming back to the
- 3:16Speaker 1: astros like today, so he was on a lame duck contract,
- 3:21Speaker 1: which is always fun and Jim Crane, the owner of
- 3:24Speaker 1: the Astros, said I've seen enough. You're in first place.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I've seen enough. So Brown is fired whatever they call it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: In the press release, he was let go. He is
- 3:34Speaker 1: a super talented scout and talent evaluator in our sport
- 3:38Speaker 1: for over thirty years. He had basically a four year
- 3:42Speaker 1: run with the Astros, and Bob Knightinge reported that they
- 3:46Speaker 1: didn't have an intention of giving him a contract after
- 3:49Speaker 1: this season. Well, you know what happens to AJ when
- 3:52Speaker 1: you don't have a contract after a season where your
- 3:55Speaker 1: contract's expiring.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Yet let go.
- 3:58Speaker 2: That's it.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I agree with Bob on this one. I don't understand
- 4:01Speaker 5: why you do it now? What's the point Kivia doing it?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Now?
- 4:05Speaker 5: You're in first place, You're in the playoffs, you know.
- 4:08Speaker 5: I don't know Jim Crane other than he's got a great.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Golf course in Florida called The Flirting, which is beautiful.
- 4:13Speaker 4: And I've probably said hide him once or twice in
- 4:15Speaker 4: an elevator in Houston because I've done a million games there.
- 4:17Speaker 4: But other than that, I don't understand why.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Now this is the second time where the the Askers
- 4:21Speaker 5: have fired their GM in the middle of a season
- 4:23Speaker 5: where they're doing really well. Remember they won the World
- 4:25Speaker 5: Series a few years ago and they got rid of
- 4:26Speaker 5: their GM before they hired Dana Brown. So I don't
- 4:30Speaker 5: understand what what the timing of this makes sense. I
- 4:32Speaker 5: guess you can get a jump on next year, but
- 4:33Speaker 5: the Astros are in it. I think Dana Brown's doing
- 4:35Speaker 5: a good job with what he's been given.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I mean the place, I don't yeah, I agree with you,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I don't know. I want doing very well. I think
- 4:43Speaker 2: they have a losing record. It's one of the one
- 4:44Speaker 2: divisions where nobody has a winning record. But it is
- 4:49Speaker 2: a weird timing to me. I'm trying to think if
- 4:51Speaker 2: where you're talking about getting a jump on someone is
- 4:53Speaker 2: there unbeknownst to me, is there someone available that they
- 4:56Speaker 2: want to get a head started on trying to high
- 5:00Speaker 2: or anything like that, because otherwise I'm not sure what
- 5:02Speaker 2: this signifies or why this they think this would be
- 5:05Speaker 2: the right time to do it. Is this gonna boost
- 5:07Speaker 2: the team?
- 5:09Speaker 4: Is this gonna boost the teams morale? Does it?
- 5:11Speaker 5: Why after the trade deadline? Why don't do it before
- 5:14Speaker 5: the season. You just made the trades of the trade
- 5:16Speaker 5: deadline to try to help them, and now you get
- 5:18Speaker 5: rid of them because they had a bad homestand they
- 5:20Speaker 5: had a bad home stand because they couldn't pitch.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure when I looked.
- 5:24Speaker 2: But feels like we're not. I feel like there's got
- 5:27Speaker 2: to be something more to it.
- 5:30Speaker 3: No, I think he's trying to send a message.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But do you really send a message to your team
- 5:35Speaker 1: by firing your general manager in late August?
- 5:38Speaker 4: No, players don't care at that point, trade deadline's done.
- 5:42Speaker 4: What does it prove? What does it prove? I don't know.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I don't understand the timing.
- 5:46Speaker 5: I mean, Jim Crane knows way Moore, but I mean
- 5:47Speaker 5: you've handcuffed Jana Brown since he's been there. They won't
- 5:50Speaker 5: do long term contracts with pitchers, they won't spend any money.
- 5:53Speaker 5: They go out and trade for Carlos Korea, who Jim
- 5:54Speaker 5: Crane had to agree to, and then he's hurting.
- 5:56Speaker 4: He misses the whole year. How is this Dana Brown's fault?
- 6:00Speaker 3: They have a very specific format.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Kip so the largest contract they've given out, and I
- 6:05Speaker 1: would say they should be more of an upper echelon
- 6:07Speaker 1: team than they are. Most of the time. They largely
- 6:10Speaker 1: treat the luxury tax as a salary cap. They hover
- 6:13Speaker 1: around that number, right, So the largest contract they've ever
- 6:17Speaker 1: given out is one hundred and fifty one million dollars.
- 6:19Speaker 3: That's one of the l two Vay extensions.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Sounds big, but it's not big in baseball terms for
- 6:24Speaker 1: the history of a franchise that's also had a lot
- 6:26Speaker 1: of success. I mean, they had a lot of success
- 6:28Speaker 1: over the last ten to fifteen years. They also hadn't
- 6:31Speaker 1: given out a free agent contract above I think it
- 6:33Speaker 1: was fifty eight million dollars up until two years ago.
- 6:38Speaker 1: They finally did it with Josh Hater and how did
- 6:40Speaker 1: that work out? I mean, I know he's had some injuries,
- 6:42Speaker 1: but he's been freaking awesome as a signing for them.
- 6:46Speaker 1: So a lot of guys leave, right and a lot
- 6:48Speaker 1: of times the guys that leave, you know, they end
- 6:50Speaker 1: up not regretting.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Carlos Kre has had plenty of injuries.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Kyle Tucker doesn't look good right now, and they traded him,
- 6:55Speaker 1: of course, even before his platform season. So when you
- 6:58Speaker 1: look at Dana Brown taking over after James Klick was
- 7:02Speaker 1: essentially whatever you want to call it, let go or
- 7:04Speaker 1: given a one year deal again after they won a
- 7:05Speaker 1: World Series.
- 7:06Speaker 3: There was also a gap there.
- 7:08Speaker 1: During that gap, Jim Crane and some others took over
- 7:11Speaker 1: and they signed Jose Bray terrible idea. They gave more
- 7:15Speaker 1: money to Rafael Montero, terrible idea.
- 7:18Speaker 3: They had draft picks.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That were punished and taken away from them from the
- 7:21Speaker 1: science dealing scandal.
- 7:22Speaker 3: And I know that was a few years ago.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But my point is Dana Brown came in when all
- 7:26Speaker 1: of that was hitting him in the face. I think
- 7:28Speaker 1: he's done a pretty good job. It's hard to maintain
- 7:31Speaker 1: a winning team every year, and he's been in it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: They didn't make the playoffs last year for the first
- 7:35Speaker 1: time in what eight seasons, and they're in first place
- 7:37Speaker 1: right now. So I don't know what you're looking for,
- 7:39Speaker 1: but it sounds to me like they're going to go
- 7:41Speaker 1: the complete opposite route. They're going to nowdate someone who's
- 7:45Speaker 1: like super analytical. Everything is computer models, like Dana Brown
- 7:49Speaker 1: had that, but he also had the supreme scouting background.
- 7:52Speaker 3: That's my guess.
- 7:53Speaker 4: But also, what will happen just means Joe Spot is probably
- 7:55Speaker 4: gone too.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Sorry, Yeah, he's on this is it for his contract too?
- 8:00Speaker 4: Will gobble him up. He's awesome.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's some saying. Teams are brought to gobble up
- 8:04Speaker 2: in a brown too. I think that's why I'm like,
- 8:06Speaker 2: there's got to be something that we're missing here, because
- 8:08Speaker 2: it just doesn't make sense of the timing or the
- 8:10Speaker 2: reasoning where he's done well. The Ashers has been a
- 8:13Speaker 2: top of the AL for a while. They said this
- 8:15Speaker 2: last year is the first year they didn't make the
- 8:16Speaker 2: playoffs in eight seasons, and they're back in first place
- 8:19Speaker 2: this year. Whether they're not playing up to their capabilities
- 8:21Speaker 2: or whatever, that's a different conversation. But I don't know.
- 8:24Speaker 2: It just seems like I just don't understand this move.
- 8:27Speaker 2: It just seems out of nowhere, like I don't know. Again,
- 8:31Speaker 2: I stick by I don't We don't have all the information.
- 8:33Speaker 2: It's just got to be some other story that comes
- 8:35Speaker 2: out later, or why does this happen here? I'd like
- 8:37Speaker 2: to hear a reasoning by them.
- 8:42Speaker 6: One of the things that I wasn't very good at, well,
- 8:44Speaker 6: it's playing major League baseball. One of the things that
- 8:47Speaker 6: I'm really good at is sweating. Even now when I'm
- 8:50Speaker 6: not playing, I need hydration. I need to make sure
- 8:54Speaker 6: it's convenient. That's why I choose Quints.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yep Quints Electrolyades sticks to the Rescue Kratz. They taste
- 9:02Speaker 1: great and the zero sugar options are Stevia free. They're
- 9:05Speaker 1: Keto approved, naturally sweetened with fermented rice, and like everything
- 9:08Speaker 1: Quince does, they're thoughtfully made and priced well. At twenty
- 9:11Speaker 1: dollars for thirty servings, they're less than half of the

- 9:23Speaker 1: That's qui Ncee dot com slash f oul for free
- 9:28Speaker 1: shipping and three sixty five day returns Quinns dot com
- 9:30Speaker 1: slash foul. These statements have not been evaluated by the
- 9:33Speaker 1: Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure,
- 9:37Speaker 1: or prevent any disease. I don't think there's some other
- 9:41Speaker 1: story that you're gonna find. I think Jim Crane is
- 9:43Speaker 1: looking at this going, hey, you signed like six seven
- 9:46Speaker 1: pitchers in the off season, and two of them were
- 9:48Speaker 1: for big money or I guess, let me rephrase that
- 9:51Speaker 1: one was for big money and ami that hasn't worked.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Out. Mike Burrows was acquired. That hasn't worked out.
- 9:56Speaker 4: It's the fine though, he's Mike Burrows has been fine.
- 9:57Speaker 1: He wasn't big money, yeah, right, but he was sent
- 10:00Speaker 1: down like he was bad that he was sent down,
- 10:02Speaker 1: And I mean he hasn't been a success.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Again, we're talking about like you're not working with much here.
- 10:07Speaker 5: You're not talking about signing who was the biggest free
- 10:10Speaker 5: agent in this offseason Kyle Tucker.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Well, right, they lost him.
- 10:15Speaker 4: They traded him and.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Got back Cam Smith parades, they got back starting players.
- 10:21Speaker 5: It was a great trade by Dana Brown. Right, So
- 10:25Speaker 5: I don't understand this is That's why it doesn't make sense.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Dana Brown's dealt with the hand he's been dealt, and
- 10:29Speaker 5: I think he's done a pretty good job with what
- 10:31Speaker 5: he's been dealt. Now, you can you can argue that,
- 10:34Speaker 5: but I mean the Astros have been always finished over
- 10:36Speaker 5: five hundred. Last year they were way down. They almost
- 10:38Speaker 5: got to the postseason. I mean, everyone in the American
- 10:41Speaker 5: League sucks this year except for the Rays and Yankees
- 10:43Speaker 5: pretty much.
- 10:44Speaker 4: So, I mean he's in.
- 10:47Speaker 3: First place, could be worse. It could be the Mariners.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Jered Depoto's on danger fire.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I don't think he's been there for a long time.
- 10:54Speaker 1: To me, I actually don't think what Kip is talking
- 10:57Speaker 1: about is a real thing. I look, I legitimately don't
- 10:59Speaker 1: think there's like something else that went on behind the scenes.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I think that Jim Crane is one of the most
- 11:03Speaker 1: demanding owners in baseball. I think he's one of the
- 11:05Speaker 1: better owners in baseball because he played college ball and
- 11:08Speaker 1: he knows ball. He's one of whatever five to seven
- 11:10Speaker 1: owners that actually know baseball. So I think that's an
- 11:13Speaker 1: advantage but can also be a disadvantage. And he has
- 11:15Speaker 1: said there will never not be a winning window during
- 11:18Speaker 1: my tenure. That's that's demanding, that's tough. We'll always have
- 11:22Speaker 1: a winning window. But we also can't sign any guys
- 11:25Speaker 1: to long term deals at this level.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Like there's a lot of rules.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but they also have a bad farm system because
- 11:30Speaker 5: the only way they can get players is they have
- 11:33Speaker 5: to trade them away or they you know, they have
- 11:35Speaker 5: to trade for big name players to get them there
- 11:37Speaker 5: because they won't sign anybody to long term deals. So
- 11:40Speaker 5: how do you diminish a farm system quicker than anything?
- 11:43Speaker 5: You trade away all your prospects for players to try
- 11:45Speaker 5: to keep your winning window. Eventually, listen to a J Peler, Yes,
- 11:48Speaker 5: has he kept it going by trading guys away? Yes,
- 11:52Speaker 5: but they also signed big name propect, I mean big
- 11:55Speaker 5: name free ages Bogerts. You can say what you want
- 11:56Speaker 5: about their contract man, Nay Machado. Right, they signed these
- 11:59Speaker 5: guys to free agent deals, or they sign their guys
- 12:03Speaker 5: to stay there. Right, it's not always a trade. It's
- 12:07Speaker 5: tough sledding. If your longest free agent deal you'll sign
- 12:10Speaker 5: a pitcher two is like three years, it's hard to
- 12:12Speaker 5: get guys to come there.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Playing to your point, this year they made one deal
- 12:15Speaker 1: at the deadline. They didn't have the prospect capital acquire
- 12:18Speaker 1: any of the big starters. Based on what you're saying,
- 12:21Speaker 1: and their trade for Dalton bar Show included Spencer Aarraghetti
- 12:25Speaker 1: that's a big league starter on many other teams, they're
- 12:28Speaker 1: trading a prospect. But when you feel like you don't
- 12:30Speaker 1: have enough because of this problem, that's where you run
- 12:33Speaker 1: into a challenging job. And they're in first place. Yes,
- 12:36Speaker 1: the American League West is a dumpster fire, but they're
- 12:39Speaker 1: tied for first place in the dumpster fire.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yes, fair point. I believe you that there may might
- 12:47Speaker 2: not be anything more to this that it is just
- 12:49Speaker 2: coming from the top down and the decision making process.
- 12:51Speaker 2: But it's just peculiar. That doesn't make sense. And if
- 12:56Speaker 2: it is the president just having that kind of tite
- 12:58Speaker 2: of a ship to run, then so be it. That sucks.
- 13:01Speaker 2: But I think David Brown will land on his feet
- 13:02Speaker 2: somewhere for sure. If he's that good of a scouter
- 13:05Speaker 2: like we talked about, then I think he's pushed enough
- 13:09Speaker 2: right buns in his time there that he should be
- 13:11Speaker 2: laying on his feet. Someone should be happy that he
- 13:13Speaker 2: just got let go of.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Jim Crane's gonna run baseball operations in the meantime
- 13:17Speaker 1: and a number of assistant gms and advisors.
- 13:20Speaker 5: I mean, Jim Crane, what does he know about? I
- 13:22Speaker 5: mean there are still waiver claims that can be made.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Yeah, Like who is it?
- 13:25Speaker 5: Zach Ltel just got put got defade right, that wouldn't
- 13:28Speaker 5: be a maybe a bad pickup for someone like Houston.
- 13:30Speaker 5: But if they don't have a GM, what is Jim
- 13:32Speaker 5: Crane gonna put in the waiver claim?
- 13:33Speaker 2: Yes?
- 13:34Speaker 3: Okay, I mean I don't think he should his team.
- 13:37Speaker 4: He can do whatever he wants.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Hey, kids on a team. Someday you can do whatever
- 13:41Speaker 3: you want and success.
- 13:43Speaker 1: So that's the thing is, you can only do so
- 13:45Speaker 1: much critiquing on someone who's won a lot.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I mean, he said, but now turned out to be interesting.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Well, there was trouble back then. Yes, they won a
- 13:56Speaker 1: World Series without the trouble too. If they fired the
- 13:59Speaker 1: g I know in the middle of the year. I'm
- 14:01Speaker 1: not I'm saying they've had the success though. Yes, it's
- 14:04Speaker 1: weird how it's played out.
- 14:06Speaker 5: So you know what he's hoping. They fired Dana Brown.
- 14:08Speaker 5: They going to run they win a World Series. That's
- 14:09Speaker 5: what Jim Crane in his mind is thinking. We did
- 14:11Speaker 5: this once, it'll work again.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah, nobody's that important. It's about the team. It's about
- 14:17Speaker 1: the astros on the front of the uniform. So the
- 14:20Speaker 1: astros are in there. I know they haven't played well, right,
- 14:22Speaker 1: They've lost seven of e or they're seven and eleven
- 14:26Speaker 1: since the beginning of August. August second, Yeah, they had
- 14:28Speaker 1: a bad stretcher. Everybody in that division is having a
- 14:31Speaker 1: bad stretch. The Rangers just tied them in the standings.
- 14:33Speaker 1: They're six and seven in the past two weeks against
- 14:35Speaker 1: the A's. The Angels, the Nats, like they all are
- 14:38Speaker 1: not playing. Well, it's not you, it's everyone.
- 14:42Speaker 4: So yeah, nobody, nobody in that division is good.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Nobody in the American League, he said, for the Rays,
- 14:46Speaker 5: I mean, I guess the White Sox are considered good
- 14:49Speaker 5: Yankees and the Yankees raising Yankees are the Red Sox
- 14:52Speaker 5: Red Sox. Yeah, yeah, so I guess you could throw
- 14:53Speaker 5: the Red Sox in there. Yeah, but they weren't a
- 14:55Speaker 5: month ago.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Now they're good.
- 14:56Speaker 1: There's four teams with winning records in the American League.
- 14:59Speaker 1: So everybody, I know, the White Sox hiring their jam
- 15:01Speaker 1: right now.
- 15:01Speaker 5: White Sox two seed with a bye by the way,
- 15:04Speaker 5: how you don't, but now it would be the White
- 15:06Speaker 5: Sox was the winner of the Astros and the Guardian
- 15:09Speaker 5: Slash Rangers to go to the LCS.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Hey, everybody think about that.
- 15:14Speaker 5: And then the Rays and the Yankees are probably gonna
- 15:16Speaker 5: have to play each other, and the Yankees are gonna
- 15:18Speaker 5: have to probably play the Red.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Sox beat up on each other.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Then they're gonna play the Rays and then they're probably
- 15:22Speaker 5: gonna have to play the White Sox to go to
- 15:24Speaker 5: the World Series.
- 15:25Speaker 3: That's weird. The Als for the White Sox White Sox.
- 15:28Speaker 4: What happened?
- 15:28Speaker 1: Teams in the al were in the race and they sold.
- 15:30Speaker 1: That's just that's more of a sport problem.
- 15:33Speaker 4: And Tiger fans, how are we doing? Love you? We're
- 15:37Speaker 4: gonna talk about all the Tiger fans. How we doing
- 15:39Speaker 4: out there? I love you guys.
- 15:41Speaker 1: A J also loves Ken Rose and thal Who's back.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Some people were like, where did Ken go? He takes
- 15:46Speaker 1: like one break the whole year, and he took it
- 15:48Speaker 1: and now he's back. Fair Territory. This Morning also covers
- 15:52Speaker 1: this breaking news story on Dana Brown. There will be
- 15:54Speaker 1: a Crush City Territory episode Astros focused on the Dana
- 15:58Speaker 1: Brown firing from the Astros, so check it all out.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Part of the Ft Network.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Here we go, Here's Elane to talk about two walk
- 16:06Speaker 1: off wins for the White Sox over the weekend, plus
- 16:09Speaker 1: the Luis Robert game Sandwich did in between it.
- 16:13Speaker 3: They left him there.
- 16:15Speaker 4: I hope they hate him there.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Two homers and he had an outfield assists, right, and
- 16:19Speaker 1: that was in that game too, So he had one
- 16:21Speaker 1: good one.
- 16:22Speaker 5: He had one good game and then I mean he
- 16:24Speaker 5: was Luise Robert and the other ones.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, somebody like, I know some Diard Mets fans.
- 16:28Speaker 1: They were like, do you think the Mets will keep
- 16:30Speaker 1: Robert as a fourth outfielder and pick up his option?
- 16:33Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my god, now they want him?
- 16:35Speaker 1: What anyway, let's talk about the positives there. Rogers nice
- 16:41Speaker 1: for the White Sox.
- 16:42Speaker 5: The White Sox one two out of three walk off
- 16:44Speaker 5: Homer by uh Trustan Peters yesterday after blowing the leading
- 16:48Speaker 5: to night, which listen Greg Taylor has done.
- 16:51Speaker 4: But there.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I still wish they would have went out
- 16:56Speaker 5: and got some like a closer, closer, But.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, they didn't get it much. Bullpender, Well they got
- 17:03Speaker 3: who do they get? Bro?
- 17:04Speaker 4: They got pros?
- 17:05Speaker 3: Was it?
- 17:05Speaker 4: Yes? They got a starter, Brough, they got a starter
- 17:08Speaker 4: they got they got Joey.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Bart They it was okay, it was. It was a
- 17:13Speaker 3: good White Sox trade.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Well they're being cautious about the futures. The winning window
- 17:21Speaker 1: there in first place. Hey, they're in first place. They're
- 17:23Speaker 1: going to win this division.
- 17:24Speaker 5: I'm sorry, Kip, but the Guardians ain't it, The Tigers,
- 17:26Speaker 5: ain't it, the Twins ain't it.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Sorry, we'll see, we'll see. We got time.
- 17:35Speaker 3: No regrets.
- 17:36Speaker 4: What movie was that we're the Millers. Yeah, not even
- 17:41Speaker 4: one letter.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Raphael Devers, when asked if there were any regrets about
- 17:47Speaker 1: how things ended in Boston, quick.
- 17:49Speaker 4: No, what's he supposed to say? He got traded. He
- 17:55Speaker 4: didn't ask to He got traded. He couldn't stop him.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Also, I don't think he wanted to be there.
- 17:59Speaker 4: He was at the point where he didn't want to
- 18:00Speaker 4: be there.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Wait, Kip, we can't hear you. You look great, I
- 18:10Speaker 1: admit yourself. Oh your Mike maybe touched the mic. It
- 18:15Speaker 1: might be read and then you can make it.
- 18:17Speaker 4: It wasn't wasn't mute.
- 18:18Speaker 3: We got you, got you, we got you?
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yep, technology Sorry, what do you got he wasn't. Yes,
- 18:26Speaker 2: he was traded, but he kind of like forced his
- 18:28Speaker 2: hand out of there, not switching positions, not doing a
- 18:30Speaker 2: couple of stuff. So I think that's what they're more
- 18:32Speaker 2: asking about. And if I were him, I would have
- 18:35Speaker 2: some regrets. I think the way he handled himself, not
- 18:38Speaker 2: maybe about leaving Boston and Boston traded him.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Then.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he has no say on that. I guess the
- 18:43Speaker 2: final decision, but I think he has he should have
- 18:45Speaker 2: some regrets the way he handled some things.
- 18:47Speaker 5: Yeah, but You can't admit that. You can't admit that
- 18:49Speaker 5: to the Boston because then it's over.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Then they're going to destroy you more than they already did.
- 18:55Speaker 3: There'll be books, they'll never stop.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Yeah, just listen. He got traded. They weren't.
- 18:59Speaker 5: He didn't like the way they handled him, having to
- 19:01Speaker 5: move to first base. He's a big boy, he said
- 19:04Speaker 5: his thing, and then they.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Got take got whooped.
- 19:06Speaker 6: So yep, Bella, Bella, Bella where I don't know where
- 19:14Speaker 6: Bella is, but I know.
- 19:15Speaker 4: How to take care of my pup.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Crats while you find Bella.

- 20:10Speaker 3: Block Corner Today is presented by New York Life.
- 20:12Speaker 1: We had the MLB Little League Classic presented by New
- 20:15Speaker 1: York Life on Sunday. It's one of my favorite events
- 20:19Speaker 1: of the year. I know the Braves won the game,
- 20:21Speaker 1: they lost the series, and there were some good things
- 20:23Speaker 1: to point out from the actual game itself, but I
- 20:26Speaker 1: just always look for the moments, the post game slap
- 20:28Speaker 1: pans with both sides, the kids interacting with the players,
- 20:32Speaker 1: all of that is super cool.
- 20:36Speaker 3: It was fun.
- 20:38Speaker 4: I didn't watch it.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Sorry, I was a little jet lag, so I didn't
- 20:40Speaker 5: watch it. I saw score moving to kit Yeah, I
- 20:43Speaker 5: am sorry. I'm gonna be honest. I didn't watch it.
- 20:45Speaker 4: I thought it was cool.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I thought I'd like to also give another shout out.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I liked how the players gave some shoutouts to Carl Ravich.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I think that was his last game for the honor.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I thought that was cool. It is fun. I forget
- 20:55Speaker 2: who had the quote where it's kind of a good
- 20:58Speaker 2: reminder to all the big leaguers of what where we
- 21:00Speaker 2: all started, when the love of the game was the
- 21:03Speaker 2: only thing that got us to the field and all
- 21:05Speaker 2: that stuff, where it wasn't a business yet and you're
- 21:07Speaker 2: just playing because you enjoyed putting on spikes and being
- 21:10Speaker 2: with friends. And I think that it's it brings you
- 21:12Speaker 2: back and it kind of recenters your perspective on it
- 21:15Speaker 2: if it ever gets if it ever needs to. So
- 21:17Speaker 2: I thought it was cool.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Now that part I can agree with.
- 21:20Speaker 5: I think it's cool every year they do this because
- 21:22Speaker 5: it does show what the big league players and how
- 21:25Speaker 5: much they do enjoy playing baseball just on the on
- 21:28Speaker 5: the smaller level. And then when you watch the Little
- 21:31Speaker 5: League World Series, how fun it is.
- 21:33Speaker 4: And I promise you, if you go into every big
- 21:34Speaker 4: league clubhouse the Little League World Series is on in
- 21:37Speaker 4: the clubhouse, they're watching it. They're they're like.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Oh, look at this crazy kid or whatever. You know,
- 21:42Speaker 5: whenever someone hits a bomb, players go crazy. So in
- 21:45Speaker 5: that regard, I think it's awesome. I think it's great.
- 21:47Speaker 5: The call ravaging to me is unbelievable what a professional
- 21:49Speaker 5: call ravits is because I know this. If someone tells
- 21:52Speaker 5: me we're laying you off, I'm not going to continue
- 21:54Speaker 5: to work. Why would you continue to work?
- 21:56Speaker 4: Like? See you later, dude. So Carl, I tip my
- 21:58Speaker 4: cap to You're on our network. You're the man. I
- 22:01Speaker 4: think that you know the fact that you went so
- 22:03Speaker 4: professional like that is pretty awesome. Good for you.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Sorry that it's over, because you were one of the
- 22:08Speaker 5: voices of baseball for a really long time on a
- 22:11Speaker 5: channel right now that doesn't seem to love baseball.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Well, take a mis er ask he loves baseball, and
- 22:17Speaker 1: we have a good clip of him.
- 22:18Speaker 3: This was one of the moments that sold the show.
- 22:23Speaker 7: And with the Miz today came up to the arcade
- 22:26Speaker 7: room while I was playing on Gonna Be the Show,
- 22:28Speaker 7: So he just said I asked him for the same
- 22:30Speaker 7: advice and he said, throw middle, middle and pray.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Well, when you're one hundred and four, I was gonna say,
- 22:37Speaker 5: when you're flinging one hundred and five, there's a lot
- 22:41Speaker 5: lot more, a lot more throwing, a lot less praying
- 22:43Speaker 5: for him.
- 22:45Speaker 3: So that was Chris sl on the broadcast.
- 22:47Speaker 1: You know, talking to a little leaguer who was going
- 22:50Speaker 1: over the advice from the miz who can give different advice.
- 22:54Speaker 3: He might have that different perspective.
- 22:56Speaker 8: You know.
- 22:56Speaker 1: We've talked about this with like a Miggey or somebody
- 22:58Speaker 1: who has the natural ability and tries to give advice,
- 23:00Speaker 1: but it doesn't really necessarily apply since they're superhuman.
- 23:04Speaker 5: Yes, usually the best hitters weren't very good hitting coaches, Kip,
- 23:07Speaker 5: I'm sure. I don't know if you were around that
- 23:09Speaker 5: very often, but a lot of the times the best
- 23:10Speaker 5: hitters aren't the best hitting coaches.
- 23:11Speaker 4: And yeah, yeah, miss is like throw a middle middle.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Yeah, well in the mist throws one hundred and five,
- 23:16Speaker 5: you can throw it down in the middle, and then
- 23:17Speaker 5: everyone's looking for one hundred and five and he throws
- 23:18Speaker 5: a slider. So yeah, I think that, uh is pretty
- 23:21Speaker 5: funny that he said that when he gets it, when
- 23:23Speaker 5: he when he loses some of that velo and he's
- 23:25Speaker 5: only throwing ninety five, let's see how good he.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Is throwing it down the middle.
- 23:28Speaker 2: But I was gonna say that that was a very
- 23:30Speaker 2: professional way by Sale and Eduardo and Carl to just
- 23:34Speaker 2: be like shut up, like you're you're not the same
- 23:38Speaker 2: way one O five gets doesn't get touched like that.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I think I love I do love the interactions. I
- 23:44Speaker 2: love that all the major league players get to hang
- 23:47Speaker 2: out the little guys. And you're absolutely right. I think
- 23:49Speaker 2: some of the best ones where they're like, oh, just
- 23:52Speaker 2: just hit the ball the other way. When it's away,
- 23:54Speaker 2: You're like, I need to know a little bit more information.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Some some of the best hitters do not make the
- 23:57Speaker 2: best hitting coaches. That is an understatement for that.
- 24:00Speaker 1: We had some good names there with two of the
- 24:02Speaker 1: better teams in baseball. Ron Lukun junior footage where the
- 24:07Speaker 1: kids are crowding him, Jackson Churio. Is there some young
- 24:10Speaker 1: stars in the sport that we're getting some interaction time
- 24:14Speaker 1: with some of the little leaguers so we can show
- 24:16Speaker 1: that there.
- 24:17Speaker 3: It is.
- 24:19Speaker 2: That because I think those kids are going to be
- 24:21Speaker 2: excited to get any autograph and to see anybody the
- 24:25Speaker 2: big leaguer. They might not even know any some of
- 24:28Speaker 2: the players, and they're still going to be excited. But
- 24:29Speaker 2: to have the bigger names Yacuna Juniors and like that
- 24:33Speaker 2: to go and spend time with that, I think that
- 24:35Speaker 2: means a lot in both ways.
- 24:37Speaker 1: So Michael Harris hit a home run, and he said postgame,
- 24:42Speaker 1: a bunch of kids were going hit a homer and
- 24:44Speaker 1: he said they were saying it before every ab and
- 24:47Speaker 1: so he's like, I felt like I was letting them down.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Eventually I had to do it. I'm glad he got
- 24:51Speaker 1: it done for a little insurance run for the Brave.
- 24:54Speaker 4: It's not that easy. It's not the episode where the
- 24:57Speaker 4: kid tells Paul O'Neil to hit two. It's not that easy. People.
- 25:02Speaker 4: People yell at you all the time. Hit a home run.
- 25:04Speaker 4: You're killing my fantasy team. Dude, it's not that easy.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Trust me. I care way more about my stats than
- 25:09Speaker 4: you do for your fantasy team.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I promise fact.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Next Little Classic Blue Jays Cubs. So it's a good one,
- 25:18Speaker 1: some good ones. It'll be another some more good names.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I agree, Yes, uh Bragman, PCA Blattie, Junior Savage Geese.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Yeah, those two teams.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Good name.
- 25:32Speaker 2: We last time I was on here, we talked about
- 25:34Speaker 2: the Iowa game, the Field of Dreams game. Are they
- 25:37Speaker 2: going to try to do it where it's like kind
- 25:38Speaker 2: of one big market team one small market team, or like,
- 25:41Speaker 2: how is that what they try to do with this too.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Those are two big markets.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Yeah, there are big big boys right there, Jays and Cubs.
- 25:50Speaker 2: So I'm saying I was like, it doesn't seem like
- 25:52Speaker 2: it's the same process for as the Iowa game, where
- 25:54Speaker 2: they kind of even it out or try to get
- 25:55Speaker 2: everybody that national uh television game. I think they're going
- 25:59Speaker 2: big game, big guys for this one.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yeah they are.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yep, it's a different setup for this one. So yeah,
- 26:05Speaker 1: got some big boy teams and even in this case
- 26:07Speaker 1: this year, I mean, the Braves are one of the
- 26:09Speaker 1: most popular teams in the country. Of course in Milwaukee,
- 26:12Speaker 1: even though they're in a small market, you basically know
- 26:15Speaker 1: you're gonna have a competitive team, you know, every year
- 26:17Speaker 1: for the past almost decade.
- 26:20Speaker 3: So it was a good mix there. It was fun.
- 26:23Speaker 1: And also our boy Todd Frazier's out there hustling, working hard.
- 26:28Speaker 1: He was at the New York Life area and the
- 26:30Speaker 1: fan zone and he was talking to fans and signing
- 26:33Speaker 1: items and he did a little thang for us, Todd father.
- 26:36Speaker 8: The fan experience hasn't changed at all since I've been here.
- 26:39Speaker 8: You get to meet some.
- 26:40Speaker 3: People from all over the world.
- 26:42Speaker 8: Become friends with them, pen pals, take pictures with them,
- 26:45Speaker 8: slide down the hill, trade pins. It's just the experience
- 26:47Speaker 8: of a lifetime where you can bring people from all
- 26:49Speaker 8: over the world, no matter what their thoughts are, who
- 26:52Speaker 8: they love, what they do, what they and become the
- 26:54Speaker 8: best of friends with them, truly one of a kind place.
- 26:59Speaker 5: All right, hold up, before we before you read this,
- 27:01Speaker 5: come back to me. What ain't nobody being pen pals
- 27:04Speaker 5: with anybody anymore? You might be on Instagram, you might DM,
- 27:07Speaker 5: but I ain't nobody writing letters back and forth.
- 27:10Speaker 4: I'm sorry to God writes letters to people. Think, yeah,
- 27:15Speaker 4: when he was twelve, before they had the Internet. They
- 27:19Speaker 4: ain't no way. All right, now you can do your
- 27:20Speaker 4: read no way m d MS.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Yes, the Instagram followers, Twitter followers, but ain't no way.
- 27:26Speaker 4: He's writing freaking letters.
- 27:28Speaker 3: It's called digital pen pals.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Oh okay, now you can do your reading because I'm sorry, Camp.
- 27:34Speaker 4: When's the last time you wrote a letter?
- 27:36Speaker 2: I can't remember, hand wrote a letter? Yeah, I can't remember.
- 27:41Speaker 3: My family does a Yeah, I do it. Niece and
- 27:44Speaker 3: nephew at.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Camp thank you thank you notes. I'll do it.
- 27:47Speaker 5: Make my kids do thank you notes. I'll write a
- 27:49Speaker 5: letter if somebody does something really cool for me. I'll
- 27:52Speaker 5: handwrite a letter, but as a pen pal, just to say, hey,
- 27:55Speaker 5: how's it going. There's this thing called a cell phone.
- 27:58Speaker 4: Now.
- 27:58Speaker 1: When I worked at MLB, we received hundreds of letters.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I was shocked how many people were writing letters.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Were they written or were they typed?
- 28:05Speaker 5: Because I get based on the type to me all
- 28:07Speaker 5: the time and their type everyone's while you get a
- 28:08Speaker 5: handwritten one.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Yeah, we had many handwritten. I couldn't read half of them,
- 28:12Speaker 1: but many were handwritten.
- 28:14Speaker 3: It's true. It's still a thing anyway.
- 28:16Speaker 2: It's certainly more heartfelt.

- 29:45Speaker 1: K twelve dot com slash foul. Hey, you guys have
- 29:47Speaker 1: both been on teams like this when you're just feeling it,
- 29:50Speaker 1: like the Phillies, and they've won nine in a row.
- 29:51Speaker 1: They sweep the Cardinals. They're three games back. By the way,
- 29:54Speaker 1: the roup of the Braves, Christopher Sanchez, gives up fourth.
- 29:57Speaker 1: That's a lot for him. Aj they're down to their
- 29:59Speaker 1: final strike down for nothing, six to four, No big deal.
- 30:02Speaker 5: Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable. I don't even know what to say.
- 30:07Speaker 5: This game was crazy. They came back all the way back. Uh,
- 30:11Speaker 5: Phillies are feeling right now, Phillies are feeling The problem
- 30:14Speaker 5: is the Braves are.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Doing really well too, and they saw a three game
- 30:16Speaker 4: lead after all.
- 30:17Speaker 3: This, right, but that's not I mean, I mean it's
- 30:19Speaker 3: not a lot, But I don't know. You gotta stay hot.
- 30:23Speaker 4: You gotta stay offer a lot. It just shows you
- 30:25Speaker 4: how hard it is to make up this many games
- 30:26Speaker 4: at the end.
- 30:28Speaker 2: How many games are the White Socks above Cleveland?
- 30:31Speaker 4: Uh, four and a half. I think more than three.
- 30:35Speaker 4: So I know that it's more than three.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna say that one. You guys are too late.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Three and a half compared to that. One's down?
- 30:43Speaker 3: Okay, all right?
- 30:45Speaker 5: For in the lost, for in the lost, and they
- 30:48Speaker 5: have this and they have the season series, so that's
- 30:50Speaker 5: really five.
- 30:51Speaker 4: So Detroit thought, enjoy the thought it was last year too.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Detroit thought it was last year.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Yeah, they had one. Now there they had scoobl and
- 31:01Speaker 4: now they're better without school.
- 31:05Speaker 3: We will get to that. By the way.
- 31:07Speaker 1: For the Phillies, it wasn't just I mean, Schwarber had
- 31:09Speaker 1: the schwar bomb walk off, Boom has been on fire.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Sosa had the ball shot down the line to or
- 31:17Speaker 1: whatever they shot the whatever. I can't say anything creative.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Sosa had a hit that cleared the bags and they
- 31:25Speaker 1: scored a lot of runs.
- 31:26Speaker 3: De la Cruz like. It was some of the depth
- 31:28Speaker 3: guys coming through.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Yes, all right, So the Catl Marte saga continues. We
- 31:41Speaker 1: cover it almost every day for the past week because
- 31:44Speaker 1: we keep getting more quotes from teammates. From manager Tory Lebelo,
- 31:47Speaker 1: who is known as one of the nicest guys in
- 31:48Speaker 1: the game, but he's been very frustrated and out of
- 31:51Speaker 1: the loop on the situation. The real part that went
- 31:53Speaker 1: super viral to was Katel Marte at a casino playing
- 31:57Speaker 1: roulette while the team's playing their game, and Tory said
- 32:01Speaker 1: he can do what he wants to do after he
- 32:03Speaker 1: does his rehab. Other people at other thoughts. This is
- 32:06Speaker 1: just prime foul territory. Tell me, what is the perception
- 32:10Speaker 1: of a team when a guy ditches the team. We
- 32:14Speaker 1: don't know everything going on, but ditches the team. Team
- 32:17Speaker 1: places him on the il from the restricted list. He's
- 32:20Speaker 1: going to battle himself back from rehab. Whatever the heck
- 32:22Speaker 1: it is. Right, the knee popped up and you see
- 32:24Speaker 1: him at a casino. He's allowed to do what he wants.
- 32:27Speaker 1: But do you want him at the casino during the
- 32:29Speaker 1: Diamondbacks game? What's the optics from the team?
- 32:33Speaker 3: AJ?
- 32:33Speaker 4: How do I say this nicely without someone wanting to
- 32:36Speaker 4: kill me.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I don't think anybody is going to disagree with what
- 32:39Speaker 1: you're about to say.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Sit your ass at home, yes, or go to the
- 32:43Speaker 2: game you're in there, I mean wherever they are.
- 32:45Speaker 4: If they're in Arizona, you should be at the game.
- 32:47Speaker 3: They were in Arizona.
- 32:48Speaker 4: If you should be at the game, what.
- 32:49Speaker 3: The hell are you doing?
- 32:51Speaker 4: Okay, I don't I've never seen anything. I mean, listen,
- 32:54Speaker 4: C J.
- 32:54Speaker 5: Abras is at the casino at two in the morning. Whatever, Okay,
- 32:57Speaker 5: that's happened. I've seen him in the game though, great,
- 33:00Speaker 5: that's my point, Like, I've seen that everyone went in
- 33:03Speaker 5: a tizzy for this. Co tell Marte, first of all,
- 33:06Speaker 5: this is not the first time he hasn't shown up
- 33:08Speaker 5: and they don't know where he is. It happened last
- 33:10Speaker 5: year and they all came out and defended him, said
- 33:12Speaker 5: something's going on. He just and then they go to
- 33:15Speaker 5: Boston for, by the way, a very important series, and
- 33:19Speaker 5: they don't mention that he was hurt.
- 33:20Speaker 4: They don't.
- 33:21Speaker 5: They throw his ass on the restricted list. So that
- 33:23Speaker 5: tells you that they had no idea where he was.
- 33:25Speaker 5: And then miraculously he hurts his knee and he goes
- 33:28Speaker 5: on the IL. Now someone something happened, some negotiation happened
- 33:32Speaker 5: with the agent and the team and the player and
- 33:36Speaker 5: the owner.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Because he didn't go from the restricted list of the IL.
- 33:39Speaker 5: And then we actually show up back in Arizona and
- 33:42Speaker 5: has to go to the you know, the rehab facility,
- 33:44Speaker 5: which is their minor Leaue complex, which by the way,
- 33:47Speaker 5: isn't in a Florida versus Arizona.
- 33:48Speaker 4: It's ten minutes from their stadium. Why is he rehabbing
- 33:53Speaker 4: with the team in Chase Field.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Can he be in the dugout?
- 33:57Speaker 4: Yes, can be in the dugouts?
- 33:59Speaker 3: So what am I missing here.
- 34:01Speaker 9: That's what I don't understand. Why is he not rehaving
- 34:03Speaker 9: with the major league trainers. It's just it's a terrible look.
- 34:10Speaker 9: I mean, the whole thing is a terrible look. It's
- 34:11Speaker 9: just nonsense.
- 34:12Speaker 2: You're dealing with the player who's kind of becoming more
- 34:15Speaker 2: and more unreliable a little bit, and he's, for all
- 34:17Speaker 2: intents and purposes, it sounds like he's a good guy.
- 34:19Speaker 2: It sounds like he's very loved in that clubhouse or
- 34:23Speaker 2: I mean one of the leaders he should be. He's
- 34:24Speaker 2: been there for the longest tenured, i want to say,
- 34:26Speaker 2: of that team, or at least one of them, which
- 34:29Speaker 2: kind of means he's going a little bit unchecked because
- 34:31Speaker 2: you need someone to sell him just to hey, sit
- 34:33Speaker 2: your ass at home or in the dugout. Those are
- 34:35Speaker 2: your two options. Why because then if you don't and
- 34:38Speaker 2: you go to a casino, it's gonna look terrible. You're
- 34:40Speaker 2: gonna have shows like us talking about you, an unneeded
- 34:43Speaker 2: coverage that doesn't need it. So you got no one
- 34:47Speaker 2: telling him just to get his butt in the dugout
- 34:50Speaker 2: or do something the right way, because you weren't doing
- 34:52Speaker 2: it the right way a little bit nobody knows what
- 34:55Speaker 2: if you got something going on, We're gonna be there
- 34:57Speaker 2: for you. We're gonna help you. But let us help you.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Don't make us look by going to casino while the
- 35:01Speaker 2: game's going on ten minutes away.
- 35:03Speaker 5: But also Tory Levello, let's not forget. They had to
- 35:06Speaker 5: have a press conference with uh Deheraldo Perdomo and Tory
- 35:11Speaker 5: Leavello saying he's a good guy, he's a great guy.
- 35:14Speaker 5: He missed time. He's remember he missed those games and
- 35:17Speaker 5: they didn't know where he was. And then it's something
- 35:19Speaker 5: with his mom. I think came up where his mom
- 35:21Speaker 5: was sick or something happened. There was a family issue
- 35:23Speaker 5: back in Dominican and he just missed games.
- 35:26Speaker 4: This time, they didn't know where he was.
- 35:28Speaker 5: They show up to Boston, They're like, oh, I guess
- 35:30Speaker 5: Cautel's gonna show up tomorrow.
- 35:32Speaker 4: We don't know.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Just it's not that hard to send it if something's
- 35:37Speaker 5: going on, Like Kip, I know this for a fact,
- 35:39Speaker 5: Like I went through stuff when I played, right, you
- 35:42Speaker 5: went through stuff when you played, whether it's family issues,
- 35:44Speaker 5: personal issues. Guys, you played with personal issues.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Things that you go.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Go to funerals like there's stuff.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Pops up, and you know what you do.
- 35:53Speaker 5: You pick up the phone, you say, skip, whoever you'r Tory, sorry,
- 35:57Speaker 5: I'm gonna miss today's game. And you know what they do,
- 36:00Speaker 5: They say, Hey, he had a personal issue. We don't
- 36:02Speaker 5: want to talk about it, but he's going to miss
- 36:04Speaker 5: a game or two. We'll put him on the another,
- 36:08Speaker 5: the bereavement list for a couple of days. But to
- 36:10Speaker 5: just not show up and to not puts everybody in
- 36:13Speaker 5: your team in a bad spot. I'm sorry, yeah, put
- 36:15Speaker 5: your team or organization. And then Tory is tired of
- 36:18Speaker 5: talking about it. You already see it. Tory's covered your
- 36:20Speaker 5: ass once. He's like, I'm not going again.
- 36:23Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about. Help them, help you, give
- 36:25Speaker 2: them a heads up, let them know what's going on
- 36:28Speaker 2: so they can cover your back. And so so like
- 36:30Speaker 2: Toy doesn't have to keep talking about this, don't go
- 36:32Speaker 2: to the casino. So he has to keep and bringing
- 36:34Speaker 2: it up again when he wants to talk about his
- 36:35Speaker 2: team and keep baseball the focus, especially in the playoff race.
- 36:38Speaker 2: It's just I'm very curious what the full tone of
- 36:44Speaker 2: the locker room is of what other players, because if
- 36:46Speaker 2: it is something serious if it was with his mom.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Obviously you are empathetic towards that and you want to
- 36:52Speaker 2: be there for a friend and a teammate. But at
- 36:54Speaker 2: the same time, he's just going about things the wrong
- 36:56Speaker 2: way and he's not doing himself any anything by the
- 37:00Speaker 2: way he's approaching it.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I tried to check with some people I know in
- 37:03Speaker 1: baseball and say, hey, how is Friday night not a
- 37:06Speaker 1: massive slap in the face to everybody that's trying to
- 37:10Speaker 1: cover for you. There's so many parts where I feel
- 37:13Speaker 1: like we can't necessarily go all in, and this was
- 37:15Speaker 1: the first time where I felt like we could go
- 37:17Speaker 1: all in. Why because if you're hearing from people that
- 37:20Speaker 1: know him better, hey, he's going through things all that.
- 37:22Speaker 3: You don't know what he's going through.
- 37:24Speaker 1: But what I do know is if you're going through stuff,
- 37:26Speaker 1: you're not then ripping roulette at the casino on a
- 37:29Speaker 1: Friday night while your team's playing ball.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Like, to me, that's my line.
- 37:33Speaker 5: I don't know how you guys agreed, Okay, But first
- 37:35Speaker 5: of all, the line was when you don't show up
- 37:38Speaker 5: and nobody knows where you are, that's that's not yeah,
- 37:41Speaker 5: and it's not the first time he's done this sure,
- 37:42Speaker 5: trust me. Guys in this locker room were like, wtf
- 37:46Speaker 5: is to tell Marte? Yep, And that was all they
- 37:48Speaker 5: talked about all day. And then they went to Boston.
- 37:51Speaker 5: I don't think they did very won that series, did they?
- 37:53Speaker 3: Well?
- 37:54Speaker 1: That one game they got smacked. I think they maybe
- 37:56Speaker 1: lost two out of three. They got smacked that one
- 37:58Speaker 1: day when he didn't show up.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:00Speaker 5: All they were worried about is and they're in a
- 38:01Speaker 5: playoff hunt. Every game matters for him. And then to
- 38:04Speaker 5: have your best player just no show you that's just
- 38:07Speaker 5: not cool. Remember they were talking about, Oh, we're gonna
- 38:09Speaker 5: trade them. We should trade them. We should trade them,
- 38:10Speaker 5: We should trade them, we should trade them. I don't
- 38:12Speaker 5: think they can. I think he has ten to five
- 38:13Speaker 5: now that he does. Yeah, so guess what now they
- 38:15Speaker 5: can't trade them.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and they lost that series to Boston two out
- 38:18Speaker 1: of three. That first day when he didn't show up,
- 38:20Speaker 1: they lost eleven to one. It's also beyond that, like
- 38:23Speaker 1: I was banged up, then he has to jump in
- 38:25Speaker 1: and play, you know, out in the field, like it
- 38:27Speaker 1: affects more than just one game.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Well, especially when you're playing a guy short in today's game.
- 38:32Speaker 5: Yeah, and he didn't show up. And by the way,
- 38:34Speaker 5: you know what he should have to do. There should
- 38:36Speaker 5: be reporters in front of his locker whenever he were
- 38:39Speaker 5: in talking stick resort and say to tell where were you?
- 38:43Speaker 4: And make him and have it. He can't say no English,
- 38:46Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I don't speak English. Have an interpreter there
- 38:49Speaker 4: and say, could tell I answer the questions where were you?
- 38:51Speaker 5: I don't think And if he wants to say I
- 38:52Speaker 5: had a personal problem, yeah, fine, but at least he
- 38:55Speaker 5: said it instead of having to have Tory LEVELO, Mike
- 38:58Speaker 5: cays In, uh, Nolan Arnatto, whoever you want on your
- 39:03Speaker 5: team have to answer that question.
- 39:04Speaker 4: He should have to answer the question.
- 39:06Speaker 3: All right, let's look at the week. Seekeek helping us out.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Maybe you want to grab a seat to Philly and Seattle,
- 39:11Speaker 1: Zach Wheeler and Logan Gilbert Tonight Seattle running out of
- 39:15Speaker 1: time to be legit. Uh, we've got I've got the
- 39:20Speaker 1: Cubs and the Diamondbacks firing up Tuesday is Dodgers Braves begins,
- 39:26Speaker 1: Tyler Glasna's back for that one. Astras Yankee starts on Tuesday.
- 39:31Speaker 1: There's some good matchups this week.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Good matchups this week.
- 39:34Speaker 5: There's always good match especially in playoff times. Uh, the
- 39:38Speaker 5: game tonight is nice. Rangers wore as were Sandy. Oh yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 5: that's a good one. That's a good one for both teams.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And then, uh, Boston's getting a lot of dudes back soon.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Philly story.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Roman Anthony Crochet is actually progressing, progressing to be a
- 39:55Speaker 1: bullpen guy Crochet.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Like, let's say Yankees Red to bring Crochet.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Hopefully pitches on Saturday when I'm in New York.
- 40:03Speaker 3: He might No, that's too soon, that's he won't be back.
- 40:06Speaker 4: Thank you gers.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Roman Anthony might be back though, because I think he's
- 40:09Speaker 1: got maybe a couple more rehab games and then he's gonna.
- 40:11Speaker 5: By the way, if the Philly stay hot, they could
- 40:13Speaker 5: actually end the Mariners this weekend the next games.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Yeah, they could.
- 40:18Speaker 4: They could actually end him.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Tough year for Seattle.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Kate Anderson debuted, so you can catch the next Kate
- 40:24Speaker 1: Anderson game.
- 40:25Speaker 3: He pitched.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Well, they I don't want to say they left him
- 40:27Speaker 1: in too long, but somebody said, like they barely let
- 40:30Speaker 1: him go to like I don't know if he had
- 40:32Speaker 1: gone eighty pitches or something. Surprise, he comes up and
- 40:35Speaker 1: because he was good for what the first four was scoreless.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Randy helped him out with the robbery and then started
- 40:42Speaker 1: to unrabble.
- 40:43Speaker 5: Yeah, but how do you keep how do you not
- 40:45Speaker 5: let a guy go more than eighty pitches, Kip, and
- 40:46Speaker 5: then you expect him to come up to a Pennant
- 40:49Speaker 5: race and throw a hundred.
- 40:50Speaker 4: He's never done it. That's that's why I just don't understand.
- 40:53Speaker 1: There's some Dan Wilson decisions right now to Jose Ferrere
- 40:55Speaker 1: was pitching too much in a blowout game and they
- 40:57Speaker 1: need him badly against all the Philly lefties, and everyone's like,
- 41:00Speaker 1: why is he still in the game right now? It's
- 41:02Speaker 1: a billion to nothing, Like, I don't know, there's some
- 41:04Speaker 1: weird stuff going on there.
- 41:05Speaker 2: But is the best part of the season We're knocking
- 41:09Speaker 2: on the door of September baseball right now? Well, there's
- 41:12Speaker 2: a lot of meaningful games.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I like thirty games, thirty games, sturdy ish games.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Left yep, So grab a ticket. I mean for half
- 41:22Speaker 1: the teams right now, it's like playoff time. Ten percent
- 41:24Speaker 1: off MLB tickets. Seat geek territory one zero is that
- 41:28Speaker 1: code that you use. It's open for you it's been
- 41:31Speaker 1: opened basically the entire season, so go grab it. Make
- 41:34Speaker 1: sure you click the link in the description to download
- 41:36Speaker 1: the app. Have the code automatically added to your account
- 41:38Speaker 1: so that you can use it later. Enjoy a game
- 41:41Speaker 1: in person.
- 41:42Speaker 2: This week, Teammates get tired of answering questions for other people.
- 41:46Speaker 2: After a certain point one you get tired of talking
- 41:50Speaker 2: about stuff that's not about the baseball. So I would
- 41:52Speaker 2: I would found was Arizona. I would make him do
- 41:54Speaker 2: that too. AJ, are you welcoming him back? If let's
- 41:57Speaker 2: say he is going through something?
- 41:58Speaker 4: What are is?
- 41:59Speaker 2: How is a J. Prazinski the teammate towards him when
- 42:03Speaker 2: he if he pulled this and you were his teammate.
- 42:05Speaker 5: We're having a cop Okay, so I'm gonna tell this story,
- 42:08Speaker 5: and it's not the same because to tell, Marte is
- 42:11Speaker 5: obviously a better player than this person.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Two thousand and five, we had Demaso Marte on our team.
- 42:16Speaker 5: Okay, him and Ozzie get into it. He kind of
- 42:19Speaker 5: refuses to pitch. Ozzy literally took his stuff in Chicago
- 42:22Speaker 5: and threw it in the in the tunnel and said,
- 42:26Speaker 5: you're off the team. We don't want you ever back.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Okay. We then flew to Kansas City. Kenny Williams had
- 42:32Speaker 4: a meeting with.
- 42:34Speaker 5: Ozzy's like, you can't just throw a guy off the
- 42:36Speaker 5: team for just because you don't like him.
- 42:37Speaker 4: Okay.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Now, DeMarco had hadn't done some stuff that wasn't cool,
- 42:42Speaker 5: like kind of didn't show.
- 42:44Speaker 4: Up r on time.
- 42:45Speaker 5: It was just there was a bunch of stuff that
- 42:46Speaker 5: happened and Ozzy was tired of it. And then so
- 42:48Speaker 5: Ozzie comes to the players and says, hey, guys, I
- 42:51Speaker 5: know I kicked Demaso off the team. You guys have
- 42:54Speaker 5: to have a meeting and will you guys welcome.
- 42:57Speaker 4: I'm back.
- 42:57Speaker 5: And so we all met in Kansas City. There's a
- 42:59Speaker 5: little private in Kansas City, like the laundry room, me Jermaine,
- 43:03Speaker 5: Kenarko Burley, there's about ten of us in there, and
- 43:05Speaker 5: we all look at each other like, yeah, he's pretty good.
- 43:07Speaker 5: We need him, so yeah, we'll take him back, right,
- 43:09Speaker 5: So we go to Ozzie said we'll take him back. Well,
- 43:11Speaker 5: then we go to Minnesota. Were only in Kansasity for
- 43:12Speaker 5: like two so I think he missed like two games.
- 43:14Speaker 5: We go to Minnesota. First day, Demaso's back right, and
- 43:17Speaker 5: he had and we're like, we'll have him back on
- 43:19Speaker 5: one condition. He has to apologize to everybody on the team.
- 43:22Speaker 4: And I give him credit in front of the whole team.
- 43:25Speaker 4: And this guy didn't speak very good English. He had.
- 43:27Speaker 5: He's crying five minutes and you could tell it he
- 43:29Speaker 5: made a mistake. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I love baseball,
- 43:32Speaker 5: I love the White Sogs. Fine, cool, you're back. The
- 43:35Speaker 5: difference is this was could tell Marte's choice, not Demassa
- 43:40Speaker 5: marteke I kicked off the team. He knew he made
- 43:42Speaker 5: a mistake. He came back and apologized. He's at the minimum.
- 43:45Speaker 4: You got to have a team meeting and apologize to
- 43:47Speaker 4: your boys for not showing up. I'm sorry.
- 43:50Speaker 2: You have to.
- 43:51Speaker 4: Before you step foot on that field again.
- 43:53Speaker 5: Now, back in the old days, the veteran will grab
- 43:55Speaker 5: you by the shirt and say, hey, we're going outside.
- 43:57Speaker 5: We're gonna have a man Deman conversation. Doesn't happen fired,
- 44:00Speaker 5: probably for the probably for the better, okay, but he's
- 44:03Speaker 5: gonna have to apologize to it before he gets in
- 44:05Speaker 5: that on that field, in that clubhouse. As soon as
- 44:08Speaker 5: he walks through team meeting three o'clock to tell speaking
- 44:11Speaker 5: I'm sorry, you know whatever, and he's got to mean it,
- 44:14Speaker 5: because if he doesn't mean it, guys the whole time
- 44:16Speaker 5: be like this freaking guy. Look at this guy. He
- 44:18Speaker 5: doesn't care.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Trust me, it happens. I've seen it.
- 44:22Speaker 1: So playing to what AJ's point is, they're not holding
- 44:27Speaker 1: back anymore.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Coaches, players, et cetera.
- 44:30Speaker 1: So here's Kevin Ginkel, bettering teammate of Martes on the Diamondbacks.
- 44:35Speaker 7: It's disappointing. How you know, the things that happened happened.
- 44:41Speaker 7: You know, there's really no explanation for it. But you know,
- 44:44Speaker 7: we've got thirty some games left here and hopefully we
- 44:48Speaker 7: can get him back here and you know, give us
- 44:51Speaker 7: a nice little push into the playoffs.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Are you expecting an explanation from him at some point?
- 44:56Speaker 4: Uh?
- 44:57Speaker 7: I think it'd be nice to hear it, for sure.
- 45:00Speaker 7: You know, I think a lot of players are kind
- 45:02Speaker 7: of frustrated with how how it just happened. But yeah,
- 45:07Speaker 7: I think first and foremost it's him getting his knee
- 45:10Speaker 7: right and mentally being in a good place to where
- 45:13Speaker 7: he can come back and help contribute.
- 45:14Speaker 3: So you're a top three player on the team, you
- 45:17Speaker 3: left the team.
- 45:18Speaker 4: And did his he hurt before?
- 45:21Speaker 3: Apparently they I don't know.
- 45:22Speaker 4: I don't like because I haven't heard anything about me
- 45:25Speaker 4: being a problem. Maybe I missed it.
- 45:26Speaker 3: But whatever to me, Like, let's move forward.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Why are you at a casino on a Friday night
- 45:33Speaker 1: in Arizona.
- 45:34Speaker 4: That's just playing to me, it's icing on the case.
- 45:37Speaker 3: That's a punch in the face, it is, That's what
- 45:39Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 45:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Gego, I think summed it up perfectly right there.
- 45:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it'd be nice if we heard from them, because
- 45:43Speaker 5: apparently they haven't hurt from him either.
- 45:45Speaker 3: No, no explanation, no nothing. That's the thing. It's just
- 45:47Speaker 3: it's a tough. Look.
- 45:48Speaker 1: It's not like you flew somewhere home or you like,
- 45:51Speaker 1: there are crazy things that can happen in people's lives,
- 45:54Speaker 1: but it's not crazy enough that you can't be out
- 45:56Speaker 1: having a good night on a Friday night while your
- 45:58Speaker 1: team's playing. That's where you kind of to lose me.
- 46:00Speaker 1: I'm like, what's going on? You're not telling us, but
- 46:02Speaker 1: you're good enough to go rip roulette.
- 46:06Speaker 4: No, I agree, that's where.
- 46:08Speaker 3: You lose me, because it's true.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I called me like Scott, there's something so crazy going
- 46:12Speaker 1: on like I just need to disappear for a week.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I can come up with a lot of scenario.
- 46:16Speaker 4: You'll cover it.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Yeah, But but if I see you at a casino
- 46:19Speaker 1: while I'm playing, I mean, you guys are the players.
- 46:22Speaker 1: You tell me, I don't know how you come up
- 46:24Speaker 1: with an excuse on that one.
- 46:26Speaker 2: You can hear what you can hear it in his
- 46:29Speaker 2: tone of voice. The teammates are getting a little bit
- 46:31Speaker 2: more pissed. I think, listen, you have all these other
- 46:34Speaker 2: guys that have been grinding since spring training with the
- 46:36Speaker 2: goal to win a World Series, goal to get to
- 46:38Speaker 2: the playoffs, and you're coming into crunch time and you
- 46:41Speaker 2: just abandoned them without saying a word. Pretty much, I'm
- 46:45Speaker 2: pissed off if I'm a teammate.
- 46:47Speaker 1: And drey Lavello will cover for almost anything. He even
- 46:50Speaker 1: covered him a little bit on this one because he
- 46:52Speaker 1: knew would be bad. He's like, you know, you're free
- 46:54Speaker 1: to have an evening with your family after your you know,
- 46:56Speaker 1: with the rehab team.
- 46:57Speaker 4: Okay, fine, you want to go to dinner. Yeah, you
- 47:00Speaker 4: want to go to a dinner. Cool, don't be don't
- 47:02Speaker 4: be seen at a club or casino.
- 47:04Speaker 3: I agree.
- 47:05Speaker 4: While the game's happening togularly covered.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Well, he looks bad yep.
- 47:17Speaker 1: To the Al West, positive story, fun story. One of
- 47:20Speaker 1: the top pitching prospects in the sports. Some would call
- 47:23Speaker 1: him the top pitching prospect at the moment. Kate Anderson
- 47:25Speaker 1: debuted on Saturday and was really good for four innings.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Randy Roseraina took that game over. He had two armors,
- 47:32Speaker 1: including the walk off. They were down.
- 47:35Speaker 3: That's always cool.
- 47:36Speaker 1: You're watching a scenario where next pitch could end the
- 47:38Speaker 1: game and instead and their team's down a run and
- 47:41Speaker 1: Randy walks him off. He saved Anderson with the nice robbery.
- 47:44Speaker 4: The way I thought kan Anderson threw harder than that.
- 47:48Speaker 3: What was just sitting.
- 47:51Speaker 4: Seven. I don't think he's one of those, but it's funny.
- 47:54Speaker 3: I love Lance's the pitchability guy.
- 47:56Speaker 5: Lance Predasky my boy with the tweet double ninety three
- 48:00Speaker 5: point seven, MLBWU ninety three point six, but all his
- 48:03Speaker 5: all his inverted break and all that was down because
- 48:06Speaker 5: the baseballs are a wee bit different.
- 48:08Speaker 3: They are.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Yep, they're different all over, the brown balls, the white balls,
- 48:12Speaker 1: the minor league balls.
- 48:13Speaker 3: That's right, yeah, but.
- 48:14Speaker 4: Usually triple A. I thought Triple A and the big
- 48:16Speaker 4: leagues are close. But he skipped triple A, didn't.
- 48:18Speaker 1: He Yes, Triple A and and the bigs are close.
- 48:20Speaker 1: But then I guess double A is a little bit different,
- 48:22Speaker 1: so he didn't get the experience.
- 48:24Speaker 4: So his inverted break, his vertical break is not as
- 48:27Speaker 4: good there it is. Here's the tweet.
- 48:30Speaker 2: I like that the number one prospect or pitching prospect
- 48:32Speaker 2: is kind of getting back to pitchability and moving the
- 48:35Speaker 2: ball around instead of just one hundred and five.
- 48:37Speaker 1: I like that me too. And that's really the case
- 48:41Speaker 1: with Kate. I mean, he's got four pitches.
- 48:42Speaker 4: We can't have the same baseball at every level.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Too complicated.
- 48:45Speaker 4: It's too hard to make more baseballs.
- 48:48Speaker 3: What what's the have a laser to judge fair fount No.
- 48:51Speaker 5: That's no too much to ask for. You know, we
- 48:55Speaker 5: need every stadium those lights. I mean we have him
- 48:57Speaker 5: at Disney, we have a universal lighting. See you probably
- 49:00Speaker 5: see him on Mars to shoot up off the foul
- 49:02Speaker 5: poles straight up.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Yeah, now that's too too complicated.
- 49:06Speaker 4: Did you hear love that one?
- 49:08Speaker 1: Did you hear Chris Bassett said about that? We had
- 49:10Speaker 1: we covered all this last week. Battle was just like
- 49:13Speaker 1: they just don't want to pay for it. He was like,
- 49:14Speaker 1: I'm just being well with you. I'm on the PA.
- 49:16Speaker 1: They don't want to pay for it. He's like, I'm
- 49:18Speaker 1: being very straightforward. It costs money and they just don't
- 49:21Speaker 1: want to deal with it. They pay for other stuff.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 49:28Speaker 3: Uh, Kate Anderson though good at.
- 49:30Speaker 4: Ball, Chrys Miller had a couple of good starts.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, well he's hurt. They had another scenario
- 49:35Speaker 1: where he's hurt and that happened with cold Emerson.
- 49:40Speaker 5: See the first picture to lose games by seventeen more
- 49:44Speaker 5: or something like that.
- 49:45Speaker 4: Start to oh, anyways, a.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Lot going on.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Hey we're back, and actually today there's Race Tigers. That's
- 49:56Speaker 1: one of the games that you can catch on the
- 49:57Speaker 1: Fox one app. So this is our opportunity. You need
- 50:00Speaker 1: to talk about those two races are slipping a little bit.
- 50:02Speaker 1: They've been in a rut. So they have to look
- 50:05Speaker 1: back and say, okay, Yankees are three games back.
- 50:07Speaker 3: This isn't done yet. This is this division, right.
- 50:11Speaker 1: And Ryan Bass, who is one of their broadcasters, said
- 50:14Speaker 1: when they had the nine to zer road trip, they
- 50:16Speaker 1: were two out RBI machines. Lately in their two and
- 50:18Speaker 1: seven stretch not so much. Okay, that's the race side
- 50:21Speaker 1: of the story. For the Tiger side of the story,
- 50:24Speaker 1: they've lost what eight of nine AJ, Yeah that sounds right.
- 50:28Speaker 1: I'll double check it.
- 50:29Speaker 4: But Town last week, I just know their record isn't.
- 50:32Speaker 5: Good Ajor or Casey Mice, but you're better without them.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Schoogle didn't look good on the weekend.
- 50:43Speaker 4: They've lost five in a row.
- 50:45Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I mean the Rays listen are great. I mean,
- 50:50Speaker 5: tune into Fox wanted to see this game because the
- 50:52Speaker 5: Rays are really fun to watch. If you haven't seen

- 51:01Speaker 5: Jonathan Ronda, tune in just to see that. And also
- 51:04Speaker 5: Rasmussen has been really good for him. He punches out
- 51:06Speaker 5: the world. So go to Fox one to watch his
- 51:09Speaker 5: starters free trial, Kip.
- 51:11Speaker 1: If you've missed some of the back and forth that
- 51:14Speaker 1: AJ has received from Tigers fans.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Haven't, I haven't. I'm on it. That's why. That's why
- 51:19Speaker 2: I was saying that.
- 51:20Speaker 1: The Tigers are better after this straight Just make sure
- 51:23Speaker 1: you keep that in mind.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Okay, you don't want s Google. Tigers are better.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Now we're gonna watch that fund raised team versus better
- 51:30Speaker 2: Tigers team than before the deadline.
- 51:33Speaker 3: Got it, ye, got it, they were buying. You just
- 51:36Speaker 3: didn't know it they were buying.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, chessing buying.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Yep, they are very very chessing US MLB on Fox

- 51:57Speaker 1: Of course, they got the World Series exclusively on Fox
- 51:59Speaker 1: and that fie app. Let's slap. So first off, it
- 52:14Speaker 1: was players.
- 52:15Speaker 4: Weekend and did anyone even notice?
- 52:18Speaker 3: It is funny.
- 52:18Speaker 1: I forgot about it until the weekend because there was
- 52:22Speaker 1: no promo leading up to it. But it is fun
- 52:25Speaker 1: when they do it to at least see the different
- 52:27Speaker 1: bats and some of the extra swag and style that
- 52:30Speaker 1: you get to put out there on the weekend. We do,
- 52:32Speaker 1: of course, miss the last name situation. We know that's
- 52:35Speaker 1: too complicated for the uniform making, so we won't go there.
- 52:39Speaker 1: But Chandler Simpson was known by some as having the
- 52:43Speaker 1: best bat over the weekend.
- 52:45Speaker 3: We'll see if you guys agree.
- 52:47Speaker 4: TU love it.
- 52:48Speaker 3: That is a good bat. That's Simpson's logo.
- 52:53Speaker 4: Solid.
- 52:53Speaker 3: That's really good.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Anybody with the last name Simpson out there who plays
- 52:58Speaker 1: baseball is going to be looking for one of those
- 53:01Speaker 1: for real?
- 53:02Speaker 3: Right?
- 53:02Speaker 2: Pretty cool?
- 53:02Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 53:03Speaker 4: Pretty sold?
- 53:04Speaker 1: And I do agree with you. I've never seen less
- 53:06Speaker 1: promotion for it. I was like, I didn't see a
- 53:10Speaker 1: single thing anywhere, and I consume a dumb amount of
- 53:13Speaker 1: baseball content.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:17Speaker 4: Also, did you see the Jakudah tweet I did trout?
- 53:23Speaker 4: How did I get bad? Was I the bad?
- 53:25Speaker 3: Get caught astray?
- 53:26Speaker 4: Actually? I kind of, it's kind of I'm kind of
- 53:28Speaker 4: proud of that one.
- 53:29Speaker 5: Did you see that kid where he tweeted out that
- 53:31Speaker 5: I was in the I was in the postseason more
- 53:33Speaker 5: recently than Mike Trout, which is true. It's very sad
- 53:36Speaker 5: for Mike. I feel really bad for Mike, but it's true.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Wow, that's yeah.
- 53:43Speaker 4: The stray wasn't put my.
- 53:44Speaker 5: Name or someone then put it on Instagram put my
- 53:46Speaker 5: age on it, which I'm like.
- 53:47Speaker 4: We don't put my age on. It's just saying I
- 53:50Speaker 4: my age is my age, still.
- 53:51Speaker 1: Can't hide it. When was the last time you were
- 53:54Speaker 1: in the fourth season? There's twenty fourteen. He was in
- 53:56Speaker 1: it the same That was twenty fourteen for him too.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Yeah, but we made it for you. They lost in
- 54:02Speaker 4: the first round. We went to the LCS, so they lost.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 54:07Speaker 1: I used to get really pissed about that, and I
- 54:10Speaker 1: got in like a tiny bit of trouble for it
- 54:12Speaker 1: in my old job. And then I got over it.
- 54:14Speaker 1: But I was pissed at the time. I was like,
- 54:16Speaker 1: so in our sport, the best player of our generation
- 54:20Speaker 1: just gets no postseason. So I got I never won
- 54:24Speaker 1: a game, No, I know, and it's not him. I
- 54:27Speaker 1: was pissed, and I was getting a little too opinionated
- 54:29Speaker 1: on at my old job. Yes, and I was getting back.
- 54:32Speaker 1: I was going back and forth with Victor Rojas, who
- 54:36Speaker 1: you know, find out, It's not like we were going
- 54:38Speaker 1: after each other personally. He was just like he's gonna
- 54:40Speaker 1: be in there, like like that's you don't watch ball.
- 54:43Speaker 3: I was like, no, they're bad.
- 54:44Speaker 4: Yeah, true, and one more good thing. But I know
- 54:47Speaker 4: we go soon. You know what.
- 54:50Speaker 2: What you got?
- 54:52Speaker 4: You know whose anniversary it is today? Sean Casey.
- 54:56Speaker 2: This the hamstring No.
- 54:59Speaker 4: Sean case in.
- 55:00Speaker 5: Detroit got thrown out by the left fielder.
- 55:05Speaker 4: Oh, here we go, we got it here it is
- 55:07Speaker 4: by the I'm.
- 55:08Speaker 5: Catching, which is unbelievable. So he thinks Joe Creedy caught it.
- 55:11Speaker 5: So he stops. Pablo Zuna, picks it up, throws a strike,
- 55:15Speaker 5: and Sean Casey then has ruled out. And it was
- 55:19Speaker 5: one of the more hilarious things to happen to such
- 55:21Speaker 5: a great guy. It seriously watches. He's mad because he
- 55:25Speaker 5: thinks they catch it. He's gonna snap. Then he realized, oh,
- 55:28Speaker 5: I gotta go, and then he gets thrown out, and
- 55:31Speaker 5: then he wants to throw his homet again and he doesn't.
- 55:35Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, it was every time I see case
- 55:38Speaker 4: that was the left field out.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Some grounded out to right fields, not many, but some
- 55:43Speaker 3: to left.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Seven three, No five seven three because he thought that
- 55:48Speaker 5: the third base would caught it, which is, by the way,
- 55:50Speaker 5: Michael Harrison, Oh my, Sean, I love you.
- 55:53Speaker 3: That's bad Michael Harris shirt.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It's one of many you can find at file Territory
