- 0:56We're going to be talking about from Views to value, how to get
- 1:00some money in your pocket y'all how to get y'all content
- 1:03monetized so we can enjoy and say start making money off of
- 1:07your content. You know what I'm saying so I'm
- 1:10Shaw Whitaker thanks for joining man talk 133.
- 1:16So check this out before I get started get into all the other
- 1:19stuff, you know check us out on all our platforms.
- 1:22Check me out on all the platforms check me out on we on
- 1:27I'm on YouTube, man, talk133.com,
- 1:33instagrammantalk133.com. Let me see what else y'all
- 1:42Facebook us talking Spotify, man talk 133, Apple music, I mean
- 1:49Amazon, apple and all the place. Y'all check this out type in man
- 1:53talk 133 like you see it behind me type that in and you will
- 1:57find it. You most definitely will find
- 1:59it. So so let's get right to it.
- 2:01So this is not like this is thing that just another regular
- 2:05conversation that you know I'm going to have with y'all
- 2:09tonight. I want to help you guys get your
- 2:13channels monetized. If you're not making money off
- 2:15your your channels, it's time to turn your channel, your phone
- 2:21into like a checkbook. Because think about this.
- 2:25How many times during the day, how many times during the week
- 2:30you go to somebody else's channel and you view their stuff
- 2:34and you look at it day in and day out, day in and day out, day
- 2:39in and day out, you getting giving all these people all
- 2:42these views and they're making money off of content, right?
- 2:46So why not do it for yourself? Why not take your content that
- 2:53you have been? Why not take your cell phone,
- 2:57this little thing right here? Why not take this and turn it
- 3:01into a paycheck? Why not take it and do what we
- 3:07what I've done with this platform?
- 3:09So this platform men talk 1333. I know you guys have heard how
- 3:15it started. So I'm going to give a like a
- 3:17little small overview of how it started.
- 3:20First, it started as a zoom. You know, taking the zoom, you
- 3:24know, it's supposed to be like a safe haven for the men and you
- 3:29know, men didn't turn out like you thought, you know, like I
- 3:33thought they would. It was me, my brother and
- 3:35another a brother named Marcus. You know we you know we they
- 3:40came on with me and he was like hey, let's do it this way,
- 3:43whatever blah blah blah. Y'all heard y'all heard the
- 3:45story. For the ones who have not heard
- 3:48the story, how many talk 1 or 33 started.
- 3:50This is how it started, started Zoom.
- 3:52Nobody showed up and the Lord told me to take it to he told me
- 3:57to take it to the YouTube, you know turn it to YouTube.
- 4:02If you can't, they won't come to you.
- 4:04Take it to them. So what we, what I started doing
- 4:07was when I took turn it into YouTube, the the objective was
- 4:12to give great content so that people so that I can monetize
- 4:18the channel. And that's exactly what
- 4:20happened. We turned it in, you know, took
- 4:23the channel, put it on YouTube and all these other different
- 4:26places right And this is where we are now.
- 4:30So let me help y'all guys out. So so we've seen people that
- 4:36want to go monetize their channels and they go try to
- 4:40monetize the channels. They buy all these expensive
- 4:42cameras and you know, they start posting videos and they hot when
- 4:46they first started. I'm talking about they hot they
- 4:49they doing a a show almost every 30 minutes.
- 4:53They tell, Hey, I just, I just posted something, I just posted
- 4:56something, I just posted something, I just posted,
- 4:57whatever, go check me out, check out my page, check out my page,
- 5:01whatever, blah, blah, blah, right?
- 5:04So they go do this thing, go check it out.
- 5:08And what happens is they stop being consistent.
- 5:13They stop being like they have that zeal like they used to
- 5:17have. Like for example, you know, when
- 5:19they when they first started, they want to do the channel,
- 5:21they want to do all this stuff, right?
- 5:23What were they doing? They go stroll, scroll, stroll,
- 5:26scroll, scroll social media. You know trying to look at
- 5:29videos 45102050 hours a week and they didn't you know they wanted
- 5:37to learn like us like like something of us.
- 5:40The ones I'm trying to help you guys scroll.
- 5:43It is scroll. If I'm not mistake, you guys
- 5:46scroll for 20 like sometimes 20 hours a week, if not more
- 5:51scrolling looking at Instagram reels, Facebook reels and video
- 5:57and and stuff like that. You just scroll.
- 6:00It's so much scroll. And I got to ask you the
- 6:02question, how much money did you make from scrolling?
- 6:07None $0.00. Now think about it, somebody
- 6:12made money, but it won't you that made the money every every
- 6:18advertisement, every podcast, every Facebook, real YouTube,
- 6:22TikTok, somebody got paid. So the question is not whether
- 6:28the moment is whether you're going to get to any of it.
- 6:34You're going to get to some of it or not.
- 6:36You know what I mean? So today let's let's let's get
- 6:39into the first topic of we were going to talk about the creator
- 6:42economy. This is one of the fastest
- 6:45growing industries in the world. People are becoming millionaires
- 6:51every single day by doing this using using nothing more than a
- 6:57smartphone or microphone like I got with this is a little more
- 7:01upgraded microphone than I first had.
- 7:03I had a first plug in. You could plug in through the
- 7:06bottom. Actually, when I first started,
- 7:08I don't even know I had a microphone right.
- 7:10I was talking into the phone when I first started.
- 7:12So, so you can get your microphone or not till you get
- 7:19your money of Internet connection and staying
- 7:23consistent. You got to stay consistent no
- 7:26matter what. If you go up there and you see
- 7:29one view, stay consistent. You go up there and see 2 views,
- 7:33stay consistent. I'm telling you.
- 7:36So give your background on this, this channel right here it is
- 7:40fully the YouTube channel is fully monetized.
- 7:45Naturally grew up from 1 subscriber to you know what we
- 7:51grew from one subscriber to like I think we about I think I'm at
- 7:54about 14 to 15,015 K or something like that and still
- 7:58growing. It comes came from being
- 8:02consistent. Whether I had a a a microphone
- 8:06or a smartphone, I mean a microphone or whatever, whatever
- 8:10type of microphone stayed consistent.
- 8:14I'm to my every day, every other day, posting shorts and all
- 8:20these other things that I did to kind of keep it going, you know,
- 8:24posting once a the radio show once a week.
- 8:27Shout out to Joe MB radio dot US for putting us on, you know, the
- 8:32to his platform and then growing, you know, just organic,
- 8:39just posting and posting and posting and posting, posting,
- 8:41posting, posting, right And so, but you got to say consistent
- 8:46how to stay consistent. But I'm going to tell you what
- 8:48nobody tells us. Nobody tell you guys, because
- 8:52everybody when you look at these videos online, everybody tell
- 8:56you everybody tell you that, hey, you know, I am this YouTube
- 9:02guru. I'm making money all over the
- 9:06place. Come take my master class so you
- 9:09can learn how to monetize your channel and then what they get
- 9:13you in that once you get in, they'll tell you like hey go,
- 9:17you know I can help you do XYZ. You pay me 299 and I can get you
- 9:23whatever you need to get. Don't go for that.
- 9:25I'm telling y'all 'cause this is the reality.
- 9:28More than 95% of creators will never make a make meaningful
- 9:32money off of social media platforms.
- 9:35Now my personal platform is YouTube is what I'm referring
- 9:41to. I'm not big on Facebook,
- 9:43although there are people making crazy money on Facebook and
- 9:48TikTok and all these other places.
- 9:49Mines is YouTube right? That means think about that 90
- 9:55more than 95% of creators would never make a meet, make
- 9:59meaningful money. Think about that.
- 10:01That means out of 100 people who decide I'm going to be a
- 10:06YouTube, 95% of them will not earn income from it.
- 10:12Why? Why?
- 10:14We answered that question here in a few minutes.
- 10:20Whether you're driving and you at home or you whatever you at,
- 10:24I want you to think about this question.
- 10:26If I gave you, if I come to you and I say, hey, I'm going to
- 10:30give you a year. I'm going to give you a year and
- 10:33guaranteed you would succeed. Would you start creating content
- 10:39or would you just keep looking at other people's stuff?
- 10:41Or would fear stop you? What would you do?
- 10:45Would you would you keep going? What would you do if I
- 10:49guaranteed you in a year you would be making money
- 10:54consistently on social media. Now I'm not guaranteeing that
- 11:01because it just depends on your you being consistent.
- 11:05If you're consistent, yeah, you probably can make some a bunch
- 11:08of money on on, you know, on YouTube, you know, and all these
- 11:12other places. But if you making one video one
- 11:14month, the next month you'll feel like making one and you
- 11:18making 23 videos every whatever, whenever you feel like doing it.
- 11:23You probably don't need to be doing this, to be honest.
- 11:26You probably need to be doing something else right?
- 11:29So this create an economy that this creator creator economy is
- 11:34bigger than what most people think.
- 11:36People still think it's social. People still think social media
- 11:41is kids dancing, funny videos, cut videos.
- 11:46People arguing no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no.
- 11:51It's business, huge business. Let's look at some of the
- 11:55numbers real quick. Y'all on YouTube, over 2.7
- 12:01billion monthly users, more than 500 hours of video, video
- 12:07uploaded every minute. Think of think about that, y'all
- 12:14more than 500 hours of uploaded videos per minute.
- 12:21I can't sit here and do the math on that, but it's every single
- 12:24minute, right? That's over my research.
- 12:28Guess what my research did? Gave me the answer for y'all.
- 12:31That's over 720,000 hours uploaded every single day.
- 12:37Now imagine trying to compete with that.
- 12:41But I do every day. Other people do every day.
- 12:45You get up here on the social media, you trying to, you know,
- 12:48grow your platform, you trying to do all this stuff and guess
- 12:50what, you are trying to compete with other people so you can
- 12:55hopefully, you know, make money off of it.
- 12:57That would that would that that's the should be ultimate
- 13:00goal, right? Should some people just like I
- 13:03just want to post get let people see what I'm doing, whatever.
- 13:07I understand that that was not my focus.
- 13:09I'm just going to be on this. That was not my focus.
- 13:12Facebook nearly 30, nearly 3 billion monthly active users.
- 13:17Facebook is not dead. I just have not really, really
- 13:23locked into Facebook like that, you know what I'm saying?
- 13:25It's not dead. It's one of the biggest, still
- 13:28one of the biggest platforms out there.
- 13:30It's just been around so long, you know, it's, you know, it
- 13:34seemed like it's dead, but it's not.
- 13:36Facebook is not dead. It changed older orders,
- 13:39families, business owners, community groups, local
- 13:41marketing, and Facebook is paying creators through Reels,
- 13:46subscriptions, stars, and other monetization features.
- 13:51Instagram is going through a little bit of this before we go
- 13:53to break y'all. Instagram more than two billion
- 13:55monthly users. Instagram has become television,
- 13:58shopping, marketing, personal branding, entertainment all
- 14:03wrapped up in one app. One app TikTok is more than 1.5
- 14:08billion monthly users. TikTok changed everything.
- 14:12Now people expect content fast, interesting, educational, funny
- 14:18within seconds and let that sink in y'all for a minute.
- 14:22Let just just one second. Let's just think billions, not
- 14:271,000,000 billions. The audience already exists.
- 14:32The question is, can they earn? Can you earn their attention?
- 14:38Can you grab their attention when you get on?
- 14:41Can you can you when they log on?
- 14:44They were like, who is that? I, I, I need to see who that is.
- 14:47I'm and they and they come back and they keep coming back and
- 14:51they keep coming back and they keep coming back.
- 14:53So the question is before we go to break, can you earn their
- 15:00attention? I don't know.
- 15:02Be right back after the break y'all.
- 15:03Stats tell that each day, 22 veterans commit suicide due to
- 15:08PTSD. These stats shook us and urged
- 15:11us to do our part. After hours and hours of
- 15:15thinking, beekeeping for veterans was born.
- 15:18Beekeeping for veterans combines beekeeping with mindfulness
- 15:22meditation. Why combine them?
- 15:24Here's why. Beekeeping causes positive rush
- 15:28of adrenaline. While beekeeping you have to be
- 15:31calm during it. You are mindful of your
- 15:34movements. Each week, a veteran will
- 15:36receive a mindful meditation to build emotional and mental skill
- 15:40sets. Mindfulness is a set of three
- 15:42attentional skills that work together concentration, sensory
- 15:47clarity and equanimity, mental calmness, composure, evenness of
- 15:51temper. Every time mindfulness is
- 15:54practiced, we build these skills.
- 15:56Beekeeping for veterans not only helps veterans overcome
- 16:00emotional trauma but also aids our environment as without bees
- 16:04there is no come forward. The people who have supported
- 16:08your country now need your support.
- 16:16Military broadcast radio, the station that's giving veterans a
- 16:20voice. Find us on the web at MB Radio.
- 16:24Dot US. Opinions expressed in this
- 16:26program are those of the speakers and do not necessarily
- 16:31reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent.
- 16:35Welcome back to Man Talk 133 with me and unite Tonight we're
- 16:40talking about from views to value, how to take your social
- 16:46media and turn it into a money making machine where you can
- 16:50make money. I know y'all want to retire.
- 16:53Really don't get on the don't get y'all the smartphone get
- 16:57y'all the mic if you need all that and just start recording
- 17:01yourself talking. You know how y'all do all that
- 17:03talking all the time. This is how you can do and make
- 17:07money for talking. You think about it.
- 17:09Let's think about this back in the day, right?
- 17:12When you back in the day you wanted to own your own TV show
- 17:16right? People want to own their own TV
- 17:17show where they need ATV station, producer, director,
- 17:20network, millions of dollars. And today you need a smartphone.
- 17:25That's it. Everybody got one of them in
- 17:28their pocket. If you say you ain't got one,
- 17:29you're lying. Because I was, I saw a homeless
- 17:31guy standing on the side of the road.
- 17:33He said he was homeless. He was collecting money and
- 17:35stuff like that, but he had a cell phone.
- 17:38So I, I know everybody got one of them.
- 17:41So you can't say you got one of them.
- 17:44But here's the catch to all of this stuff.
- 17:46The barrier to success has never been higher.
- 17:50So in other words, because you could, because anybody, all of
- 17:55us could upload, very few can consistently provide value.
- 18:01Now one of the things that's going to make you stick out or
- 18:05make people keep coming back, you got to have value.
- 18:09You got to offer value, something of value.
- 18:12For example, if you know how to fix floors, I have some I record
- 18:20you putting in floors, bro, so they can, so they can or sister
- 18:24so they can see that you learn from you putting in floors,
- 18:29roofs, a roof, whatever, whatever your thing is hassle
- 18:35how to record you or record yourself doing it.
- 18:37I'm just saying it's so many ways.
- 18:41It's so many ways that you could make money doing it, like
- 18:45recording yourself and all this stuff like that.
- 18:48Whatever it is, how to videos, stuff like that, right?
- 18:52So let's get a little honest, y'all.
- 18:56People don't fail because they're untalented.
- 18:59They fail because they quit. They fail because they quit.
- 19:06See what? What people want is a viral
- 19:10moment. And even in that viral moment,
- 19:17if you don't meet YouTube's requirements to be or or or is
- 19:21accepted into their partner program, it don't matter.
- 19:26So I'm going to get into something that later on what the
- 19:28requirements are for that, right?
- 19:30But the problem is they don't fail.
- 19:35They stop, they quit. They don't, they just don't they
- 19:40feel like what they're doing is because they're not getting the
- 19:43views that they want that they quit.
- 19:47You know what, man, forget this YouTube thing, man.
- 19:49All them guys at the top, they want us making all the money.
- 19:52Now, let me tell you something what you which is true.
- 19:55Honestly, I'm to the ones that feel like that.
- 19:58I'm with you. I agree with that to a certain
- 20:00extent. They do drop down and get some
- 20:03of the smaller folks information videos and then they go do a
- 20:07reaction video on it and then they eat off of your video.
- 20:11So sometime it that does happen. I mean, it really does happen.
- 20:16But you can't quit now studies shows following studies
- 20:21following thousands of YouTube channels found in nearly three
- 20:24out of every four channels stop growing or become active over
- 20:28time and think about that. Open up a YouTube channel.
- 20:35Don't do nothing with it. You just sit there and sit there
- 20:39and sit there is it could be literally a money making machine
- 20:43because you see, you see certain people that make that make
- 20:47certain videos and it could be something simple.
- 20:51You know, I'm not telling you the guy that man stand over the
- 20:53top of the edge of a building and do something crazy like
- 20:56that. What I'm just saying record
- 20:57yourself. You can make money, right?
- 21:00Why people quit? Because they because they expect
- 21:05it. Instant success and microwave
- 21:07success. They upload one video, you get
- 21:1030 views. Just what I said.
- 21:12They get discouraged, uploaded over 15 views.
- 21:16Now they embarrass another 142 views.
- 21:19Then they stop another one, 8 views, another 112, another 1-2,
- 21:23another one. Whatever, right?
- 21:25And they stop. They stop.
- 21:30Meanwhile, the creator who succeeds, he uploads again and
- 21:34again and again and again and again and again.
- 21:40Think about that. If you plant an apple tree and
- 21:44it don't grow and you really want some apples and you stop
- 21:48and you plant it one time, it won't grow.
- 21:50You going to stop because it didn't grow or you going to keep
- 21:53pushing What what we going to do?
- 21:55Because this this YouTube thing is IAI and all this stuff like
- 21:59that. It's just tools for people to
- 22:01take their what they're doing to another level.
- 22:06That's what is that's what is that's what it's for.
- 22:08You take it and it's going to push you to another level of
- 22:11making money, you know, on your own.
- 22:13But it's like anything else. It's like sale, OK?
- 22:17It's like sale. You only going to make what you
- 22:25put into it. If you don't put a lot into
- 22:27sales, you ain't going to make a lot out of sales.
- 22:30That's just how I go. It's the same thing with this.
- 22:32If you don't put a lot into it, you ain't going to get nothing
- 22:35out of it. You know what I'm saying?
- 22:37So now this is one of the biggest myths about myths about
- 22:43YouTube. I'll go viral.
- 22:46Now you won't. Then I'll make money.
- 22:49Now you won't. You're wrong.
- 22:53Going viral does not guarantee you income.
- 22:56I don't know who told y'all that it does not guarantee income.
- 23:04Some some, some some some people make tons and tons and tons of
- 23:10views on videos right? And yet don't get nothing from
- 23:16it. They really don't make a dime
- 23:19from it because just like for example, you make a video and
- 23:24the you get all these views right and what if the sponsors,
- 23:31you know the add people they don't like it.
- 23:34They don't you know they're limited.
- 23:36I've had this happen to me but too too and YouTube.
- 23:38Y'all have to stop doing me like this too and I'm calling y'all
- 23:41out stop doing me like this YouTube stop limiting my views
- 23:45on my on my when I go in there and look at my stuff it's got
- 23:50active but limited stop doing that.
- 23:52I put a lot of hard work in stop.
- 23:56I don't be able to really I need to stop that man.
- 23:58I I seen that last week stop it. For example, OK, someone gets
- 24:0420,000 views consistently every week.
- 24:06He builds trust or they or she or him or whoever, they build
- 24:12trust, sell products, get sponsorships right and quality
- 24:21builds A6 figure business. Consistent consistency usually
- 24:27beats luck. Consistency just get to keep
- 24:30going. Just keep going and keep going
- 24:33and keep going and keep going. I gave you all the statistic.
- 24:3695% of people don't make a dime. Not at all.
- 24:40Not nothing, not nothing. You know why they think social
- 24:45media is the business? Listen, social media is
- 24:52marketing your business. What it what you sell, what you
- 24:56teach, who you help, who you help.
- 25:01I need to slow down on it, y'all?
- 25:02I'm going to slow. You know what?
- 25:03I've been talking too fast. I'm going to slow down.
- 25:05I'm going to read that again. All right?
- 25:10People fail. Why They because they make one
- 25:13critical mistake. They think social media is the
- 25:18business. No, social media is marketing.
- 25:23Your business is what you sell, what you teach, who you help or
- 25:31what problem you solve. And you can get there and think
- 25:35that just because you post a video that you putting makeup on
- 25:39and whatever you doing and that not giving a tutorial, it's not
- 25:44going to work like that. I don't know why y'all really be
- 25:46thinking like like social media really works like that.
- 25:49It does not work like that. I'm telling y'all it doesn't.
- 25:52OK, let's just say for example, all right, this is creator A
- 25:581,000,000 followers, no product, no e-mail list, no sponsors, no
- 26:01coaching, no merchandise, no membership, income uncertain.
- 26:06Creator B 30,000 followers Got a book, course, speaking,
- 26:11coaching, podcast, affiliate links, merchandise, monthly
- 26:16membership. Guess who gonna make more money?
- 26:19Yes, yes, create a bee every single day.
- 26:25You know why? Because the one that has a
- 26:27million views is not pushing nothing to his to his base, to
- 26:31the view people that come in and view it, they ain't pushing
- 26:33nothing to it nothing. So I'm just saying, what am I
- 26:38saying, y'all? What am I saying?
- 26:41Be consistent. No matter what, consistency is
- 26:46going to win every single time. Every single time.
- 26:51So now let's figure, let's go down and see where we can, where
- 26:58I can tell you about how YouTube pays right?
- 27:03How YouTube actually pays creators One of the biggest,
- 27:07biggest misconceptions is that YouTube is paid based on views.
- 27:11That is not true, not at all, not at all.
- 27:16Now the views are are slice up or slice of the piece of piece
- 27:20of the puzzle, but it's not the whole thing.
- 27:23YouTube pays based on several. They pay on based on several
- 27:27factors. Watch time audience advertisers
- 27:33demand all this stuff that they do.
- 27:35The advertiser demand content, category viewed, engagement, ad
- 27:42inventory. Not all views are worth the same
- 27:46so just imagine you have two creators each to receive 1000
- 27:52views. One created, one creates videos
- 27:57about luxury real estate. The other one about prank
- 28:00videos. The one with the with the real
- 28:06estate, luxury real estate is going to be a different income
- 28:10than the one with the prank videos.
- 28:12Cuz this dude here with this luxury video stuff, Here's what
- 28:15he can do. He can flip this stuff off to he
- 28:19can flip his stuff off to, I mean, not flip at all, but
- 28:23people just looking for luxury real estate, they going to come
- 28:26and look for him. Oh, that's a nice house.
- 28:28You got up here, whatever, blah, blah, blah.
- 28:30But the dude that's doing the prank videos, man, ain't nobody
- 28:33going they're going to watch it. But who going what advertise?
- 28:37They're going to pay you for prank videos.
- 28:40You know what I mean? Like it's so it's kind of just
- 28:43just just remember, look consistency and also make sure
- 28:49that you make you meet the required for YouTube.
- 28:52We're going to get to that, right?
- 28:55So CPM versus RPM, I'm just giving you all some terminology,
- 29:00right? All right, CPM is cost per
- 29:03thousand impressions. This is what advertisers pay
- 29:07YouTube for every thousand monetized ad impressions.
- 29:12RPM is revenue per mile milli, per milli, per milli, milli per
- 29:17milli. This is a proximately what the
- 29:21creator earns per total video views out of YouTube share and
- 29:25other factors. Why is that important?
- 29:27Because advertisers may pay a high CP/M CP/M, but your RPM
- 29:34demands how many viewers actually see the ads and
- 29:37audience and other things like that, right?
- 29:41So I'm up against this break. I would, I would get into it
- 29:44because I want to give you all the high paying YouTube niches.
- 29:49So once I come back after the break, I'm a hop into that
- 29:52because that's going to be key when you're trying to look for
- 29:55something where you can make, you know, decent money off your
- 29:57videos. We'll be right back after the
- 29:59break, y'all. Military broadcast radio, the
- 32:55station that's giving veterans a voice.
- 32:58Find us on the web at MB Radio. Dot US.
- 33:02Opinions expressed in this program are those of the
- 33:04speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions
- 33:09of any entities they represent. Welcome back to Man Dog One the
- 33:1433 where me and you Nate, thanks for tuning in tonight.
- 33:18Tonight we're talking about from views to value from views to
- 33:22value Tonight, Facebook, you're on the breakdown of YouTube
- 33:26monetization, the Facebook monetization, Instagram
- 33:29monetization, TikTok, all the other social media platforms.
- 33:33So if you got these platforms and you are not taking advantage
- 33:37of how to get money off of them and then now let me say this,
- 33:40that may not be your goal. So I can't say that you should
- 33:44be doing it because it may not even be your, your goal, you
- 33:48know, to, to do that. You know, that just may not be
- 33:51your thing. I don't know, but it was mine.
- 33:55I'm just, I'm just saying it was mine.
- 33:58So it may not be your goal to do that.
- 34:01You may not even you know, want to do social media, you know,
- 34:06try to monetize and all that stuff for the but for the people
- 34:08who are trying to do that, hey, consistency.
- 34:14If you do not need the media a breakdown, you do not need a top
- 34:21notch microphone computer mixer, all these other things you need
- 34:31one of these get you a get you a get you a phone small phone
- 34:36prefer smartphone preferably so you can record yourself and
- 34:40start small how to if you know how to do stuff, you know how to
- 34:44cook, you know how to clean real good.
- 34:47You know how to get that that that grime off them shower doors
- 34:50and you can create you a little video and you know show people
- 34:54how to do it. You know how to get it off and
- 34:57you clean real good cars real good whatever right Do it.
- 35:03Just record yourself. Don't listen.
- 35:05Fear stops a lot of people from moving ahead on stuff.
- 35:08So don't be, I'm telling y'all, do not be fearful.
- 35:11I was there. I was thinking like, honestly,
- 35:13doing a recording, I used to think like it was a million
- 35:18people looking at me and it was just like, yo, how could that
- 35:20even be possible when I'm just doing the recording?
- 35:25Like nobody's even watching nobody even live on this thing,
- 35:28right? So it used to freak me out so
- 35:30bad and I ended up overcoming my fears.
- 35:34So y'all do the same thing. So if you're looking to to
- 35:37monetize your page here some of the highest paid YouTube niches
- 35:42out there. Generally speaking, you know,
- 35:44they they pay they pay more. Some of the highest paying
- 35:49categories. Let me say it that way.
- 35:51One business, investing, real estate, technology, insurance,
- 35:56software, personal finance, marketing, education.
- 36:02You want to know why? You want to know why?
- 36:04Not only because they often attract the advisors,
- 36:08advertisers willing to spend more per ad, but they bring
- 36:13value. You got to have value, no
- 36:19question about it. You got to have value so you
- 36:24know, and plus you know it'll attract advertise they willing
- 36:28to spend more. Now the lower categories often
- 36:31include entertainment memes, generally general viral clips,
- 36:38gaming content and music compilations.
- 36:41You know how people put all these music things together boom
- 36:43boom boom boom boom. That don't mean that you can't
- 36:46build a great YouTube business off of that, but I'm saying it's
- 36:50a little bit more harder because of the what the advertisers are
- 36:54willing to pay. They're willing to pay more in
- 36:57those categories I just listed business, investing, real
- 37:02estate, technology, insurance, software, personal finance,
- 37:07marketing, education. These are going to attract the
- 37:12the advertisers way more than the little than the other little
- 37:16other lower categories which are again entertainment, memes, the
- 37:20general viral clips, gaming content and music compilations.
- 37:26Right. So got a question, just a
- 37:29question, would you rather have 1 million views or 100,000 views
- 37:37that earns 5 times as much with sometimes less traffic creates
- 37:44more income. Which one would you want with
- 37:46the me? You want the million views?
- 37:49No, I want the one that's going to create the more income.
- 37:52So now this is what people think.
- 37:58In order for them to make money off of YouTube, you got to have
- 38:04a million subscribers. You don't need a million
- 38:06subscribers, y'all to make money off of YouTube.
- 38:09You don't need it. Some content creators only have
- 38:1310,000 how they engage subscribers and can earn, they
- 38:19can earn more than the channel with 50,500 thousand
- 38:22subscribers. You know why?
- 38:23Because they built relationship with them.
- 38:25They trust them. They're bringing, they're
- 38:27bringing value. They're bringing value.
- 38:31People will pay for trust. It's just what it is.
- 38:35I mean, I don't, you know, people, people will pay for
- 38:38trust. I'm not about, you know, I, I
- 38:42was going to talk about Facebook, but I'm not a bit I, I
- 38:47don't, I'm not a big Facebook person for me to really tell you
- 38:50how to monetize it because I really don't know how to
- 38:54monetize that. But I will tell you just about
- 38:58different platforms, you know, the way to make money off of
- 39:03them. You got different ways.
- 39:05You got to start thinking like a business owner.
- 39:07You know, you got to start thinking and creating streams of
- 39:12income right now. Let me go back to YouTube real
- 39:16quick before we before I get past that YouTube, I know for a
- 39:19fact you got to have at least 1000 subscribers, unless they
- 39:25changed it, 1000 subscribers and you got to have 4000 hours of
- 39:30watch time and you got to have, I think 10 million, 10 million
- 39:36views and shorts. And you can get into the you can
- 39:40get into their partner program, but you got to apply and then
- 39:43they got to accept. You got to go look at your
- 39:45channel. You know, make sure what you're
- 39:47doing is legit. Make sure you ain't paying for
- 39:50box and all this stuff for them to push your channel up for you
- 39:54to meet the requirements and stuff like that.
- 39:56So they got to check it out. Do you know, do a thorough
- 39:59research on it, right? That's what you got to do for
- 40:01YouTube. All those I don't know, because
- 40:03I'm, I'm not using them like that.
- 40:05I'm just saying. Although I do have them, I'm
- 40:09just not really pushing them like that yet.
- 40:13You got to stop thinking like a business owner.
- 40:15Here's the blueprint. You got to create streams of
- 40:18income. Income stream #1 advertising
- 40:20revenue. Income stream #2 affiliate
- 40:24marketing. And just in case people don't
- 40:27know what affiliate marketing is, recommend products that you
- 40:30actually use and earn Commission when people purchase through
- 40:33your links. That's what affiliate marketing
- 40:36is, income stream #3 sponsorships, companies pay to
- 40:43reach your audience. So if you have, let's just say
- 40:51a, a trucking channel, reach out to the trucking companies.
- 40:56Like, hey man, I got a lot of, I got a lot of trucking people
- 41:00that listen to my show and they trying to get into the game of
- 41:03trucking, you know, let's work somehow.
- 41:05Well, you know, sponsor, sponsor me and then I can you, I can do
- 41:11ads for you and all this stuff on my on my page and, you know,
- 41:15send business your way, that business your way.
- 41:17And we both all, everybody happy.
- 41:19We make money, I make money, you make money, they get a job.
- 41:23I'm just saying, let's see income stream #4 digital
- 41:29products, ebooks, templates, guides, downloads, courses, you
- 41:34know, for the people that are for the people that are in
- 41:37ministry, you know, you can have men's devotionals, women
- 41:41devotionals, kid devotionals, teen devotionals, all these
- 41:45different things that you can do to create income.
- 41:48If you're into monetizing your channel, cuz this is one thing I
- 41:51will say too, a lot of people think monetizing your channel is
- 41:57through YouTube only. No, monetizing your channel only
- 42:00means making money off of your channel.
- 42:02That's what monetizing monetization means.
- 42:05That means if you got 10,000 people and you can figure out a
- 42:08way to get what you got 10,000 subscribers, you can figure out
- 42:11a way to get 1000. I mean a dollar per subscriber
- 42:15each month, that's $10,000 a month.
- 42:19Or even if you get 50% of that, that's 5000 a month.
- 42:22You can give me if you can figure out a way to get $0.50
- 42:24per person a month, you know what I'm saying?
- 42:27That's that is from my math 5050 cent.
- 42:34So you got all these different things, you got courses and all
- 42:36this stuff. Steal your knowledge repeatedly
- 42:40without shipping a physical product is all online.
- 42:43They send you to they send you to watch them.
- 42:45Guess what? Well, you know, you send the
- 42:49link, they buy BAM and go right to them electronically, right?
- 42:53So I'm just saying sell your product without having to do it
- 42:57physically. Income stream #5 merchandise,
- 43:01merch is what they call it. Sell your merch, T-shirts,
- 43:05hoodies, mugs, hats, journals, all that stuff.
- 43:10Brand new product can deepen your community while adding
- 43:13another revenue stream. Stream number six, excuse me,
- 43:19Income stream number six, coaching.
- 43:23Listen, if you know how to coach, whether it be whether it,
- 43:30you know, life coaching, whatever the case may be, which
- 43:34I am a certified life coach, I want to throw that out there and
- 43:37a certified business consultant. So if you want to learn, if you
- 43:41want to sell that stuff like that, you know your product and
- 43:44stuff like that, that's another revenue stream of income,
- 43:50another one, right. What if you want to coach kids
- 43:56football and you doing videos teaching people how to throw the
- 44:00football right, how to turn and all that stuff like that, right
- 44:04coaching put your videos up. Guess what people learn how to
- 44:07want to learn how to throw footballs accurately or kick a
- 44:10soccer ball accurately or whatever accurately.
- 44:14Put that stuff up, man. Listen it.
- 44:17Listen. It makes a big difference when
- 44:20people come see your stuff. People like, wow, so many people
- 44:23want to see that. I didn't know it's out there
- 44:26some. It's a market for it.
- 44:27So income free number seven membership communities, a
- 44:32monthly recurring income, exclusive content.
- 44:36Now you get talking about exclusive content.
- 44:38Your content got to be like top tier.
- 44:42Ain't nobody going to pay for you to sit in your room.
- 44:46Why you sitting there rubbing your feet, looking at the
- 44:48camera, you know, and looking around and just not saying
- 44:52nothing. Nobody's paying you for that.
- 44:55I don't know. Nobody will pay you for them.
- 44:57Say it like that. I don't know nobody that's going
- 44:59to pay you for that. I don't.
- 45:01I'm just saying, but those type of things, you know, exclusive
- 45:06content, private groups, live Q&A, question and answer
- 45:10sessions right behind the scenes, access stuff like that,
- 45:13man. You could just show people
- 45:15behind the scenes. This is how you set this up.
- 45:20You do it this way, this way, this way, this way, this way,
- 45:22this way. And then guess what?
- 45:26People start watching your videos, man.
- 45:28I need to know how to you know, I had my radio show to a podcast
- 45:34to A to like a platform. I just don't know how to do I've
- 45:37been trying to do it out. That's don't know how to do it.
- 45:40Stuff like that, you know, could really go a long ways, right.
- 45:44So imagine, just imagine this man talk 133 US.
- 45:51Well, me, me keep saying us y'all know y'all heard me keep
- 45:55saying us because my brother was on it.
- 45:56So it's just me now I keep saying us, but it was it's me.
- 46:00Imagine man talk 1/3 becomes a more than a radio show right,
- 46:04which is we're working till working until we do the weekly
- 46:07live show. We got the pod, I got the
- 46:10podcast, I got the YouTube channel.
- 46:12You know we were we we we hope we're going to get some men
- 46:15conferences. Y'all heard heard a think about
- 46:18your bull. When y'all get ready to do these
- 46:20men conference leadership workshop working on books got
- 46:24the brand and apparel coming in, there's going to be up to the
- 46:27merchants going to be on the web on the YouTube page and working
- 46:30on that. So it's a lot of different
- 46:33things man that man talk 133 is doing.
- 46:36So I'm going to give you just a little bit because I got to get
- 46:39ready to get up out of here y'all.
- 46:41So let me give you a little bit of what man talk is doing.
- 46:43You know we got the merch coming, we got the shirts and
- 46:46stuff. Not necessarily man talk 133
- 46:49shirts and man of valor shirts to restore sweatshirts and all
- 46:52that stuff like that. That's coming.
- 46:55You know, we on Spotify, we on we on Pandora, we on I heart we
- 47:01on I'm on I keep saying weed up. I'm on I'm on apple, Google, all
- 47:11the all the top platforms that we're on pod view, all these
- 47:16different places that I'm on. So if we need some help, you
- 47:21know, trying to set that up, just reach out to me.
- 47:22You know what I'm saying? I can, you know, probably walk
- 47:25you through it, you know, stuff like that.
- 47:27So but so so this is what I want y'all to do, the audience to do.
- 47:33Before we get out of here, I want you to write down one
- 47:37question. If it's social and media stop
- 47:41playing tomorrow, how will my audience still be able to
- 47:45support my business? If you don't have an answer,
- 47:48this is your assignment this week.
- 47:50If you don't have an answer for that, if social media stop
- 47:54paying tomorrow, paying, how would your audience still be
- 47:59able to to support your business?
- 48:03If you don't have an answer for that, this is your assignment
- 48:07for this week. Now before we get out of here,
- 48:10because I really got to go y'all.
- 48:12Creators who win aren't always the funniest.
- 48:15There aren't always the smartest.
- 48:16There aren't always there aren't always the most talented.
- 48:20They often are the ones who stay consistent, continually
- 48:25learning, adapt, save their audience, serve their audience,
- 48:30and refuse to quit. If you want to do that, if you
- 48:34want your social media, you go listen, you don't have had to
- 48:37have all this fancy equipment, all this stuff like you don't
- 48:39have to do that. Stop thinking you got to do it.
- 48:42You don't get your cell phone, get your a cheek mic if you can.
- 48:47You got to be, you got to be consistent.
- 48:49You got to have value. You got to meet YouTube's
- 48:53policies of monetization, partner group, you know, the
- 48:57partner program to get in that. Once you do that, you on your
- 49:02way, you on your way. I'm telling you I did it, y'all
