- 0:27Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:31Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:35Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Jerry Caldwell. Raj is out today and
- 0:40Speaker 1: we'll get into that a little bit.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Later.
- 0:46Speaker 1: We will have a very special edition of Believe It
- 0:48Speaker 1: or Not, starring our very own Raj Sharma.
- 0:52Speaker 2: That's coming up today in the Treehouse.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Right out of the gate, however, we need to talk
- 1:00Speaker 1: talk about something extremely important. If you walk into a
- 1:08Speaker 1: bar and there are chickens, are you going to stay
- 1:12Speaker 1: at that bar?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Or are you going to leave?
- 1:17Speaker 3: What are the chickens doing cocaine? Oh, I'm staying.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I was going to say it depends on the setting,
- 1:27Speaker 2: but I left out the cocaine on purpose there.
- 1:31Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean that's if you walk into a
- 1:34Speaker 1: bar and there are chickens and there and there's cocaine,
- 1:39Speaker 1: do you stay or do you go?
- 1:42Speaker 2: And you know what, Trey, I thought.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I honestly thought way too long and way too hard
- 1:49Speaker 1: about my answer to my own question, and I think
- 1:54Speaker 1: I've come to the answer that as much as I
- 1:58Speaker 1: want to see what happened, I think I'd leave just
- 2:02Speaker 1: because I'm I'm older now and I'm I'm in search
- 2:06Speaker 1: of more of a low key bar environment. I'm no
- 2:10Speaker 1: longer in my twenties. And keep in mind, I've never
- 2:14Speaker 1: even done cocaine. I've been at bars with chickens. That's
- 2:18Speaker 1: not at first, that's old hat for me, but not
- 2:21Speaker 1: to you know, I've been I've been at bars with
- 2:24Speaker 1: chicken tenders, but not you know, chicken bumpers.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I've never done coke, but I've run bars where people
- 2:31Speaker 3: do coke and uh.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I've seen chickens and I've seen coke heads. I have
- 2:38Speaker 1: not seen those two worlds necessarily collide, and I'm not
- 2:41Speaker 1: sure my heart can take that.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I mean I would have to. I would want a
- 2:50Speaker 3: clear path to an exit, but at there's a train
- 2:53Speaker 3: wreck factor there. I don't know that I could. I
- 2:55Speaker 3: could walk away from. Yeah, don't get me wrong, it's empty.
- 2:58Speaker 3: It is extremely, extremely tempting. But that is a question
- 3:05Speaker 3: that some people had to actually answer in real life,
- 3:08Speaker 3: as opposed to it being just a question posed in
- 3:12Speaker 3: the middle of a show like we're doing here. Because
- 3:14Speaker 3: in Wisconsin, inside the l Colo Bar last Wednesday, the
- 3:22Speaker 3: open sign has been extinguished for the final time because
- 3:26Speaker 3: after closing Tuesday night, owner of the l Colo bar
- 3:30Speaker 3: in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, their license was permanently revoked.
- 3:35Speaker 1: He explained Wednesday, he's still concerned about an ongoing Milwaukee
- 3:38Speaker 1: police investigation stemming from a shots fired incident there in October.
- 3:47Speaker 1: At a Milwaukee Common Council committee meeting earlier in the month,
- 3:51Speaker 1: police discussed the October eighteenth incident by saying officers were
- 3:54Speaker 1: covered cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a suspected drug sales ledger, and
- 4:00Speaker 1: nine millimeter cartridges. Chickens were also located in the basement
- 4:04Speaker 1: of the tavern. In Milwaukee, up to four chickens can
- 4:09Speaker 1: be kept on residential property, but a permit is required
- 4:13Speaker 1: and the chickens must be an outdoor coops. So people
- 4:18Speaker 1: had to genuinely answer the question of if you walk
- 4:22Speaker 1: into a bar and there's chickens and cocaine, are you
- 4:25Speaker 1: going to stay or are you going to leave?
- 4:29Speaker 2: And that was a real.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Situation in Wisconsin recently because the bar was shut down
- 4:33Speaker 1: after chickens and cocaine.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Were found inside.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Wow Yeah, the owner is accused of shooting a gun
- 4:40Speaker 1: out of a window.
- 4:41Speaker 2: He denied that was him.
- 4:42Speaker 1: He said it was just some random person on the
- 4:44Speaker 1: sidewalk out front. He also said a bowl of cocaine
- 4:48Speaker 1: that police said they found inside the building.
- 4:50Speaker 2: What's not.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Keep in mind they didn't say bowl, yeah, exactly, It's
- 4:57Speaker 1: probably just the bowl of cocaine. The chickens, however, he
- 5:02Speaker 1: did admit to the local news that he was raising
- 5:04Speaker 1: a couple of chickens in the basement near the beer storage.
- 5:09Speaker 1: He explained at the city council meeting that he planned
- 5:13Speaker 1: on eating them. He says, the chickens that were located
- 5:15Speaker 1: in the basement of the tavern, I'm sorry. One of
- 5:18Speaker 1: the older persons had asked the chickens that were located
- 5:21Speaker 1: in the basement, why were they there. The owners said,
- 5:23Speaker 1: for eat in my house. I live in the upstairs.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And then they asked him you kept them in the
- 5:29Speaker 1: basement and then brought them up to kill them, and
- 5:30Speaker 1: he said in my house.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 1: In the end, between the cocaine, the gunfire, the noise complaints,
- 5:36Speaker 1: and the chickens, the city council had heard enough. The
- 5:41Speaker 1: full council voted to revoke the license of the LCLO
- 5:45Speaker 1: Bar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, last Tuesday.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Any of those two things would have been fine. Any
- 5:50Speaker 4: combination of those two, but all three, that's that's just
- 5:55Speaker 4: too far.
- 5:56Speaker 1: That's actually for Jery because it's the cocaine, the gunfire,
- 6:01Speaker 1: the chickens, and the noise complaints from the previous three.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It almost sounds like like you need to have, like
- 6:11Speaker 1: you can't have one without the other. They actually all
- 6:14Speaker 1: go hand in hand or hand in claw pretty well,
- 6:17Speaker 1: because you got you got the cocaine, the gunfire, and
- 6:20Speaker 1: the chickens. The more you say it, the more it
- 6:22Speaker 1: just kind of comes together and in the nice neat
- 6:26Speaker 1: bar package.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I mean, do you know where the chickens fighting? I mean,
- 6:30Speaker 3: were there ceds involved? I'm sorry, ceds cock enhancing drugs.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So you are suggesting that that this Milwaukee bar.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Was a coked up cock fighting cage bar. Yeah, I
- 7:05Speaker 1: mean we don't know, right, it's possible, but according to
- 7:11Speaker 1: the owner, he said he planned on eating them. But
- 7:18Speaker 1: I'll admit, Trey, that's an angle I had not thought
- 7:20Speaker 1: of in this situation.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I mean, that's a it's brilliant. But this is also
- 7:28Speaker 3: if you want to understand why the border was such
- 7:30Speaker 3: a big issue in the election, See if this happened
- 7:32Speaker 3: in Texas, we really probably wouldn't think twice about it.
- 7:34Speaker 3: But the fact that happened in Wisconsin, that's where you
- 7:37Speaker 3: know it's gotten.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Out of you know what, You're right, that really is
- 7:41Speaker 1: a God invasion on the way to Milwaukee.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Yeah, you're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online that
- 7:57Speaker 5: Treehouse on Air dot com.

- 8:33Speaker 1: the Treehouse now, Dan O'Malley here along with Trade Trenholm
- 8:36Speaker 1: and Jerry calledwell, our buddy Raj Raj Sharma is is
- 8:41Speaker 1: out today and where he is is fascinating, and it's
- 8:46Speaker 1: so fascinating that I am going to make it a
- 8:49Speaker 1: subject of believe it or Not time right here inside
- 8:58Speaker 1: the Treehouse featuring our very own Raj Sharma. So believe
- 9:03Speaker 1: it or not, Raj Sharma is not on the show
- 9:07Speaker 1: today because he flew to New York City. That's not
- 9:16Speaker 1: the believe it or not part he actually did. He
- 9:18Speaker 1: is he is flying to New York City today. Believe
- 9:22Speaker 1: it or not, The reason Raj Sharma is on his
- 9:27Speaker 1: way to New York City is because his acts apartment
- 9:31Speaker 1: caught on fire and he wanted to make sure she's okay.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Do you.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'll give you a moment to think about it. Do
- 9:40Speaker 1: you need more moments to think about it? Or do
- 9:41Speaker 1: you have an answer already? Trey still thinking, Jerry, do
- 9:47Speaker 1: you need an another minute or two? Or do you
- 9:49Speaker 1: have an answer? Do you need a minute as well?
- 9:54Speaker 1: All right, I'll play more than jingle. Ras Sharma is
- 10:03Speaker 1: on his way to New York City? Is it because?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Do you believe it is because his ex's apartment caught
- 10:10Speaker 1: on fire and he wanted to go make sure she
- 10:12Speaker 1: was okay?
- 10:13Speaker 2: Do you?
- 10:19Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, at this point, it's holiday season and
- 10:22Speaker 1: he excuse to.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Play that song. I'm gonna do it. Yeah, but if it.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Works in the show as well, then even better for
- 10:27Speaker 1: all of us. All Right, now I've given you a
- 10:30Speaker 1: little additional time to think about it. Do you believe
- 10:33Speaker 1: that a Treehouse cast member and friend Ras Sharma flew
- 10:36Speaker 1: to New York City because his ex's apartment caught on fire?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Do you believe it or not, Jerry, No, okay, Trey,
- 10:50Speaker 1: do you believe it or not?
- 10:54Speaker 3: I do believe it. But because if I'm not mistaken,
- 11:00Speaker 3: his ex is also his agent.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Ah, it's a very interesting relationship dynamic without it.
- 11:13Speaker 2: So in this case, Trey, you are correct. You can
- 11:19Speaker 2: believe it.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Jerry Raj flew his ass all the way to New
- 11:22Speaker 1: York City to check on his ex wife because her
- 11:27Speaker 1: apartment caught on fire and he wanted to make sure
- 11:29Speaker 1: she's okay. That's amazing to me. You're awesome, dude. I
- 11:36Speaker 1: just wanted to say no, just to be arbitrary for
- 11:38Speaker 1: the for the pit.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Don't hate me.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Let me clarify by saying, and he told me this,
- 11:43Speaker 1: she is okay. Good her she is okay, her pets
- 11:49Speaker 1: are okay. I guess she has a roommate. The roommate's okay.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I didn't ask him this, but I was wondering, well, then,
- 12:00Speaker 1: you know, why are you going to New York.
- 12:06Speaker 2: It sounds like everything's fine.
- 12:09Speaker 1: But I guess he's he's concerned for her well being,
- 12:13Speaker 1: So off he goes to UH to New York City.
- 12:17Speaker 1: For for me, I feel like I just kind of
- 12:23Speaker 1: be in there like, I'm not gonna do that. I'll
- 12:24Speaker 1: be I'll be frank. I'm not going to go check
- 12:26Speaker 1: on a next like that. If I heard.
- 12:28Speaker 2: About it, maybe i'd maybe i'd.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Send a message saying, Hey, I hope you're okay, but
- 12:35Speaker 1: I'm certainly not gonna travel there.
- 12:39Speaker 2: To check on that. Jerry, what about you? I would
- 12:46Speaker 2: do that, especially if she was my agent.
- 12:54Speaker 1: The agent angle really does add some additional necessary context
- 12:59Speaker 1: to the question. I guess I I don't wish any
- 13:06Speaker 1: ill will on any of my exes or anything like that.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I can't speak for all of them, but if if
- 13:15Speaker 1: my house burned down, I'm not expecting any of my
- 13:17Speaker 1: exes to show up, at least not to help me
- 13:20Speaker 1: in any way. And if they did, okay or offer
- 13:26Speaker 1: to me, it's weird.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Can we just maybe that's the angle I'm trying to
- 13:29Speaker 2: think of. Is it weird? It seems weird, it's weird, right,
- 13:32Speaker 2: Raj is weird?
- 13:34Speaker 4: Well, yes, rash is weird, but I don't I don't
- 13:38Speaker 4: think that's necessarily weird.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Just as you know, he's a big hearted guy, so.
- 13:45Speaker 3: It's also the person who affects his bottom line.
- 13:49Speaker 1: So and and perhaps it's been too long since he's
- 13:53Speaker 1: been to Carolines in New York and done a set. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 1: so maybe it's happened. Maybe it's not just purely out
- 14:04Speaker 1: of the goodness of his heart that he's checking in
- 14:06Speaker 1: on her.
- 14:06Speaker 2: He wants to make sure that.
- 14:10Speaker 1: All his bookings are still intact for the remainder.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Of the year.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I really, I just want to make sure you're okay.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I mean, I know things are in a weird place,
- 14:20Speaker 1: and then that's want to make sure you're okay, Glad
- 14:21Speaker 1: the pets are fine, Glad.
- 14:23Speaker 3: That who's your favorite comic?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Dane Cook didn't fly here to see if you're okay?
- 14:37Speaker 3: Raj Will.
- 14:39Speaker 1: By the way, how's that Netflix special of Mind coming?
- 14:45Speaker 1: I just I just don't see them out of the Again,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I don't see the reason for it. If if, if
- 14:51Speaker 1: you hear about it, and you hear about it from
- 14:54Speaker 1: the X, the AX is clearly telling you things are
- 14:56Speaker 1: okay and there's no reason for you to go travel there.
- 14:58Speaker 2: But I guess I guess we've established a good reason
- 15:02Speaker 2: as to why.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Let me be more blunt with it this way, if
- 15:12Speaker 1: your ex's apartment caught on fire, what would you be
- 15:15Speaker 1: doing right?
- 15:22Speaker 3: Making sure I had an alibi and then going and
- 15:24Speaker 3: buying a bag of marshmallows.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I appreciate the honesty.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Like you said, if if my apartment for burning down
- 15:49Speaker 3: and my ex showed up, they'd have a five gallon
- 15:51Speaker 3: you know, jug of gasoline.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, they'd be guilty. They're the arsonist. Listening to the Treehouse.

- 16:57Speaker 1: Back inside the Treehouse now, I'm Daniel Malling along with
- 16:59Speaker 1: Trade Trenholme and Jerry called Well location. Mister our friend
- 17:04Speaker 1: and colleague, Raj Sharma, is flying to New York City
- 17:06Speaker 1: to look after his ex who's apartment caught on fire.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Everything's fine, supposedly, but he just wants to make sure
- 17:11Speaker 1: she's okay, and we commend him for it and also
- 17:15Speaker 1: realizing that since she is his agent, it makes business
- 17:18Speaker 1: sense as well. Now, speaking of business and doing things
- 17:22Speaker 1: that make sense, I'm going to share with you a
- 17:26Speaker 1: story that is particularly shocking to me today. We've all
- 17:32Speaker 1: heard and seen about Bad Teacher movie, right, Cameron Diaz.
- 17:38Speaker 1: So we know Bad Teacher movie. We know a Bad
- 17:42Speaker 1: Judge that was a TV show. Our buddy tone Bell
- 17:45Speaker 1: actually co starred in a TV show, Bad Judge. Well,
- 17:50Speaker 1: now it's time for Bad Surgeon. But this is not
- 17:54Speaker 1: a TV show and it's not a movie at least
- 17:56Speaker 1: not yet. This is real, and if I'm being honest,
- 18:01Speaker 1: this is damn terrifying. Because a surgeon who allegedly killed
- 18:10Speaker 1: a patient by firings, by firing stapling devices blindly.
- 18:17Speaker 2: And removing the wrong organ loses another medical license.
- 18:24Speaker 3: How did he get to.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Look to a certain degree.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Second, chances are a nice thing, but if you're a surgeon,
- 18:35Speaker 1: I don't know if you should get a second chance.
- 18:39Speaker 2: I feel like that's I.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Feel like that's if there's ever an occupation where you
- 18:43Speaker 1: should not get a second chance, it should probably be surgeon.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Especially if if you remove the wrong organ, because I
- 18:51Speaker 3: feel like as a surgeon of anatomy one oh one,
- 18:54Speaker 3: really you know if you failed that, let's stop there.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it is troubling as well because I mean.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Trey, you've had knee surgeries and uh, when they come
- 19:04Speaker 1: in for a pre opt, what do they do?
- 19:07Speaker 2: They marked the leg? Oh?
- 19:09Speaker 3: Yeah, they make.
- 19:10Speaker 1: You got to make sure that they operate on the
- 19:11Speaker 1: right leg h or correct leg. Don't say it right
- 19:14Speaker 1: because then they might screw them up. So they'll come
- 19:16Speaker 1: in and mark your leg. I guess in this instance
- 19:19Speaker 1: is a little bit different because you can't open the
- 19:21Speaker 1: patient up, mark the pancreas first so the doctor knows
- 19:26Speaker 1: and then close them back up and then everything because
- 19:28Speaker 1: it's it's an it's you know, it's inside.
- 19:30Speaker 4: There's a little there's a there's a little picture of
- 19:32Speaker 4: your guts on your on your paperwork that goes in
- 19:35Speaker 4: there with you, and they're supposed to mark it on there.
- 19:37Speaker 4: This this is what's coming out supposed to I mean
- 19:40Speaker 4: the second the second chance thing depends on what they did.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I uh, you know, little nick here, a little something
- 19:46Speaker 4: like that. But getting into a staple gun fight in
- 19:49Speaker 4: the middle of the surgery. Yeah, not the not the
- 19:53Speaker 4: not the way to go.
- 19:54Speaker 1: A surgeon who allegedly performed multiple wrong site surgeries, including
- 19:59Speaker 1: one that result in a patient's death after the wrong
- 20:02Speaker 1: organ was removed, has surrendered his medical license for the
- 20:06Speaker 1: second time. Doctor Thomas Schechnovsky was licensed to practice osteopathic
- 20:14Speaker 1: medicine in both Alabama and Florida. You know somewhere in
- 20:19Speaker 1: this story, you know, Florida had to play a role
- 20:21Speaker 1: in here. It is, However, following the death of one
- 20:24Speaker 1: patient who died after the doctor allegedly mistakenly removed the
- 20:28Speaker 1: man's liver instead of his spleen during emergency surgery in August,
- 20:33Speaker 1: he's now barred from practicing in both states. Records show
- 20:36Speaker 1: that the doctor voluntarily surrendered his license in Alabama, where
- 20:40Speaker 1: authorities have also blocked him from practicing as a previous
- 20:45Speaker 1: report is indicated. The doctor was ordered to surrender his
- 20:47Speaker 1: Florida license in September. He's now listed as having retired
- 20:52Speaker 1: from practicing medicine in the state.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Who states down forty eight more Togo.
- 20:56Speaker 1: That's right, man, It's like most people like on the
- 20:58Speaker 1: side of their RV, like mark the different states they've
- 21:01Speaker 1: been to.
- 21:02Speaker 2: This guy's his medical license is the same map.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It's just instead of places he's been, it's just places
- 21:08Speaker 1: he's no longer allowed to operate, that is, or on people.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I had to google this just to make sure. But
- 21:18Speaker 3: the spleen and the liver on opposite sides of the body,
- 21:21Speaker 3: so this isn't like one was right next to another.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Seriously, Yeah, God doesn't even look alike. Yeah, one is
- 21:32Speaker 4: very large, has lobes. The other ones like this little
- 21:35Speaker 4: dangly ball looking things.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I know people that could be described in a similar fashion. Seriously,
- 21:45Speaker 1: the spleen and the liver on opposite sides of the body. Yes,
- 21:48Speaker 1: and they look nothing alike.
- 21:50Speaker 2: No, not a bit.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I have more questions then, like was this guy drunk?
- 21:57Speaker 1: Because I think we've all been in stapler fights, but
- 22:00Speaker 1: none of us are, you know, doctors performing surgery when.
- 22:03Speaker 2: We do it.
- 22:06Speaker 1: But booze was probably a factor. The suspension orders from
- 22:11Speaker 1: both states detailed the troubling circumstances surrounding two botched surgeries
- 22:16Speaker 1: and the doctor's apparent attempts to cover up his errors
- 22:19Speaker 1: he was. One of the patients was an Alabama man
- 22:23Speaker 1: who went to Florida for tests to assess an abnormal spleen.
- 22:27Speaker 1: While he was on vacation, medical staff advised him that
- 22:31Speaker 1: he needed immediate surgery to prevent serious spleen related complications,
- 22:35Speaker 1: and despite serious reluctance to do so, the patient ultimately
- 22:38Speaker 1: agreed to undergo an emergency laparosssee across the roscapic splinectomy.
- 22:47Speaker 1: According to the Florida report, although the operating room staff
- 22:50Speaker 1: was limited at the time, and although the hospital did
- 22:52Speaker 1: not typically perform splenectomies, this doctor did it anyway. The
- 22:59Speaker 1: operating room staff was concerned that the doctor did not
- 23:01Speaker 1: have the skill level to safely perform the procedure, yet
- 23:04Speaker 1: they still let him do it anyway. During the surgery,
- 23:07Speaker 1: for which the doctor arrived an hour late, he opted
- 23:10Speaker 1: to convert a laparoscopic procedure to an open one to
- 23:14Speaker 1: mitigate difficulties invisibility. The procedure had major complications in the
- 23:18Speaker 1: doctor's decisions proved to be fatal for the patient after
- 23:22Speaker 1: fires after firing a stapling device blindly into the patient's abdomen.
- 23:29Speaker 1: The doctor removed an organ that he believed was the
- 23:32Speaker 1: patient's spleen, but it was actually the liver. Not only
- 23:35Speaker 1: did the operating room staff notice the doctor's error during
- 23:38Speaker 1: the procedure, but they also observed him trying to cover
- 23:41Speaker 1: it up.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Why didn't they stop him?
- 23:45Speaker 3: Exactly was his oar crew the cocaine chickens?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Well, he was armed, Trey. I mean he's got a staple.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it really especially we're talking about opposite
- 24:03Speaker 3: sides of the body. It does seem like someone unnursed
- 24:05Speaker 3: and me go, uh, doctor other.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Side, mm hmmm, yeah, just a nice little poke, like
- 24:11Speaker 1: a hey, uh what are you doing?
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's just just google Google human anatomy and go okay,
- 24:19Speaker 3: uh see you're over here.
- 24:22Speaker 2: You need to be.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Here.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty bad if in the middle of an
- 24:27Speaker 1: operating room they pull out an actual game of operations
- 24:30Speaker 1: and say, this is what you're supposed to be taking out, doctor, right,
- 24:38Speaker 1: you don't you don't want your surgeon being buzzed in
- 24:41Speaker 1: the middle of your surgery.
- 24:44Speaker 2: And how do you cover that up? Sir?
- 24:46Speaker 4: That's deliver Oh all right, I knew that.
- 24:51Speaker 2: We just sorry, I was just moving that out of
- 24:53Speaker 2: the way so we could. I was just making sure
- 24:55Speaker 2: you were paying attention. Right, I'll take this play out now.

- 26:27Speaker 1: Daniel Malley along with Trey Trendholm and Jerry called Well
- 26:30Speaker 1: is in today as well. So Big Day, Big Monday Post,
- 26:33Speaker 1: Thanksgiving inside the Treehouse. And I'm excited for this story
- 26:39Speaker 1: because this is when Trey found and the stories that
- 26:42Speaker 1: Trey finds are always entertaining, without a doubt, every single time.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And I'm not being hyperbolic here, I truly mean it.
- 26:49Speaker 1: When Trey finds a story and sends it. If I
- 26:52Speaker 1: may be so blunt, you know it's gonna be good.
- 26:55Speaker 1: So here we go. Tesla versus Raccoons, or more specifically,
- 27:02Speaker 1: cyber truck versus raccoons. This is not a new movie
- 27:05Speaker 1: franchise from the Sci Fi Channel.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Oh no, this is real news.
- 27:12Speaker 1: This stuff really happened. Tesla cyber truck versus a bunch
- 27:17Speaker 1: of raccoons. Okay, here we go. Tesla cyber truck owners
- 27:23Speaker 1: may have the pleasure of driving one of the trendiest
- 27:25Speaker 1: new vehicles on the road, but it has not been
- 27:28Speaker 1: all glitz and glamour as they receive a bizarre warning
- 27:30Speaker 1: about their trucks. The cyber truck's bed vault has been
- 27:34Speaker 1: mistaken for a dumpster by hungry raccoons. For anyone that's
- 27:40Speaker 1: seen a cyber truck in real life, that's not really
- 27:43Speaker 1: a surprise. They do look a lot like dumpsters. The
- 27:47Speaker 1: raccoon incident occurred while the cyber truck owner was on
- 27:50Speaker 1: a camping trip in Minnesota. A person claiming to be
- 27:53Speaker 1: the owner of a Tesla model cyber truck wrote in
- 27:56Speaker 1: a form that all he had in his cyber truck
- 27:58Speaker 1: at the time was a of unopened chips in a
- 28:01Speaker 1: closed storage box and coffee. According to a writer, he says,
- 28:08Speaker 1: I according, Okay, hang on, I do think the cyber
- 28:12Speaker 1: truck in a certain light looks exactly like a dumpster.
- 28:15Speaker 1: That's what Aaron Turpin told the Cowboys State Daily. Okay,
- 28:20Speaker 1: and it's true. The cyber truck does look a lot
- 28:23Speaker 1: like a dumpster. It's no chaker there. I think even
- 28:25Speaker 1: Elon Musk would admit to that, and Tesla CEO Elon
- 28:30Speaker 1: Musk has been credited with developing cyber trucks, a battery
- 28:33Speaker 1: electric truck that was first delivered to customers last year.
- 28:36Speaker 2: All cyber trucks come with a tinew cover.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Which protects the vehicle's cargo bed from water and other
- 28:43Speaker 1: things that could cause harm. One though, was visiting meyer
- 28:45Speaker 1: Big Island, noticed pop prints on his vehicle, which he
- 28:48Speaker 1: believed belonged to a raccoon, saying, those don't look Those
- 28:51Speaker 1: do look like huge prints in the picture, but there
- 28:54Speaker 1: were actually a series of smaller prints that were smeared.
- 28:58Speaker 1: The camper added their crafty ruthless suckers the raccoons. We
- 29:01Speaker 1: saw them scheming in the evening before the crime.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Raccoons, which Reddit users call trash pandas, are often dumpster
- 29:12Speaker 1: divers that eat almost everything. It's true humans frequently spot
- 29:17Speaker 1: these animals in garbage cans or dumpsters rummaging for food,
- 29:19Speaker 1: especially in urban areas. Raccoons hunt for food frequently, and
- 29:22Speaker 1: if necessary, they can travel for miles just to find
- 29:25Speaker 1: something to nibble on. Despite the owner claiming he only
- 29:29Speaker 1: had chips and coffee in the cyber truck, one person
- 29:33Speaker 1: guessed that their raccoon could have attempted to break in
- 29:35Speaker 1: because of marshmallows. So it's basically all form conjecture at
- 29:40Speaker 1: this point, But the owner of the cyber truck does
- 29:42Speaker 1: say my cyber truck was assaulted by hungry raccoons and
- 29:48Speaker 1: they were able to chew through the Tesla's to know
- 29:54Speaker 1: bedliner to get inside the bed of the cyber truck. Oh,
- 30:00Speaker 1: so imagine this. It was just a handful of days
- 30:04Speaker 1: ago that Elon Musk said in just a few years
- 30:08Speaker 1: he wants to send these cyber trucks to Mars, but
- 30:12Speaker 1: they can't withstand raccoon teeth on Earth.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Well, good thing, there's no raccoons on Mars or water.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Yeah, because they're not good at going over water either.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I'm not even sure if they could run over a raccoon. Nope,
- 30:26Speaker 1: Like a raccoon would just look at it, give it
- 30:28Speaker 1: the middle finger and just eat the whole thing.
- 30:32Speaker 3: I mean, at least there's something attracted to a cyber truck,
- 30:40Speaker 3: you know.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I can just imagine the conversation between two guys. One guys,
- 30:43Speaker 1: hey man, you like my new cyber truck. The other
- 30:45Speaker 1: guy going like, well, well, I know you're gonna get coons,
- 30:50Speaker 1: but uh, I don't think you're gonna get any poon.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, there's your bumper sticker, there's your new
- 30:58Speaker 3: slugin for things that like shiny cyber truck coons, not poon.
- 31:07Speaker 3: I don't think that's gonna sell very well. It might
- 31:09Speaker 3: be accurate. Yeah, that's uh. Like I said, you know,
- 31:15Speaker 3: he finally found something a species that likes the cyber
- 31:18Speaker 3: truck and is attracted to him. Yeah. Maybe the various
- 31:26Speaker 3: raccoon rescue places all around the country, he can just
- 31:29Speaker 3: send them a cyber truck and yeah, write it off.
- 31:35Speaker 4: If it's because it looks like a dumpster. Man, who's next?
- 31:37Speaker 4: Like the bears, we know they love dumpsters. Oh sure,
- 31:42Speaker 4: and it does make sense.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I mean that even the raccoons like it is pretty
- 31:45Speaker 1: bad when when you see one driving by and as
- 31:46Speaker 1: a person, you're like, I think this looks like a
- 31:48Speaker 1: dumpster with wheels, and then raccoons have the same opinion.
- 31:53Speaker 2: That's kind of sad. I mean, come on, man.
- 31:59Speaker 5: And I.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Don't know.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I don't know how Ford makes their pickups, but I've
- 32:05Speaker 1: never heard of I've never heard of an.
- 32:07Speaker 2: F one fifty getting chewed up by a raccoon.
- 32:10Speaker 1: I have not heard that about a Silverado, I have
- 32:12Speaker 1: not heard that about a Tundra, and I sure as
- 32:14Speaker 1: hell have not heard that about a Tacoma. I'm pretty
- 32:16Speaker 1: sure my dad's orange dots and from the eighties, what
- 32:20Speaker 1: it would stood raccoons better than this cyber truck.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Yes, Trey, you look deep in thought. You trying.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's trying to think. I mean maybe a dodge,
- 32:30Speaker 3: but eh, who knows.
- 32:35Speaker 2: It's just because the peeing on it thing. Again, you're
- 32:41Speaker 2: in the tree.

- 33:37Speaker 1: and Iron. Trey and Iron now pissed at you. Tell
- 33:40Speaker 1: us again as we were playing the bumper going into
- 33:43Speaker 1: that last segment, tell us exactly what you what you said.
- 33:47Speaker 4: I said, raccoons are tenacious little bastards. Hey, I remember
- 33:52Speaker 4: having to chase one through the forest because it stole
- 33:55Speaker 4: my cough medicine, to which Trey and I promptly responded,
- 33:59Speaker 4: why didn't you tell us that on the air?
- 34:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And your response was, Jerry.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I couldn't figure out a way to just organically, you know,
- 34:07Speaker 4: put it in there.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I didn't want to do hijacked the hijack away. When
- 34:12Speaker 1: you got a story about you chasing a raccoon with
- 34:14Speaker 1: a scissor into the woods, you interjected that, Yeah, you
- 34:19Speaker 1: the segue was right there. You said, You're like, yeah, uh,
- 34:23Speaker 1: raccoons are tenacious little bastards. I had I had to
- 34:26Speaker 1: chase one into the forest because it stole my cough syrup.
- 34:28Speaker 3: There it was.
- 34:29Speaker 1: That's the segue, there's the transition, there's all of it. Yeah,
- 34:32Speaker 1: do you gonna do birthdays in this segment?
- 34:34Speaker 3: Now?
- 34:34Speaker 2: I'm just gonna can yell at you.
- 34:36Speaker 3: When you have a story that involves raccoons and cough syrup,
- 34:39Speaker 3: they're no organic needed. You just throw that bastard out there.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you wedged that.
- 34:44Speaker 1: You wedge that for right end hard, don't don't even
- 34:47Speaker 1: ask for permission, just go for it.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Try now, lay back and take it.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, all right, my bad to set the scene.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Uh so, uh was camping.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Out in the Washtaw National Forest in Arkansas.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Hmmm, Arkansas raccoons make sense, yep, yep.
- 35:11Speaker 4: And I we'd been out there for like three or
- 35:15Speaker 4: four days at this point, and it was early spring,
- 35:18Speaker 4: so it was kind of cool and kind of moist,
- 35:21Speaker 4: and I was starting to develop a little bit of
- 35:23Speaker 4: a cough. So we went into into town, up into
- 35:26Speaker 4: Hot Springs and got a few things, one of which
- 35:29Speaker 4: was cough syrup, the good stuff, because back then you could,
- 35:33Speaker 4: you know, get the good stuff pretty easy. We came
- 35:38Speaker 4: back to the campsite and did did dinner, and I
- 35:42Speaker 4: put all the food away, okay, you know, like the
- 35:46Speaker 4: all the desserts, everything, it was all locked up. But man,
- 35:50Speaker 4: we're just sitting around the campfire. We hear rustling behind us,
- 35:53Speaker 4: you know, and we know that there's animals out there.
- 35:55Speaker 4: And I pick up the flashlight and I turn around
- 35:57Speaker 4: and there's a raccoon and he's just wide eyed, and
- 36:00Speaker 4: he's standing there and one hands up in the air
- 36:03Speaker 4: and the other one's holding the plastic bag that's got
- 36:04Speaker 4: my coughs serrup in it. That's exactly how I imagined it.
- 36:08Speaker 4: And then the flashlight reaches over and then you see him.
- 36:11Speaker 4: He's like ah, and he's freezing.
- 36:13Speaker 1: He's frozen, and all you see is like like one
- 36:15Speaker 1: hand up like don't shoot in the other hand holding
- 36:17Speaker 1: a cough syrup bottle.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Right, So I yelled at him and I got up
- 36:22Speaker 4: to you know, go and get it, and he takes
- 36:24Speaker 4: off through the forest. So I started chasing him in
- 36:27Speaker 4: the dark with a flashlight through the forest. And this
- 36:29Speaker 4: thing is running on three three legs with the other
- 36:33Speaker 4: arm holding the bag that had the coughs serrup.
- 36:35Speaker 1: In it, hopped up on decongested I mean yeah, so
- 36:38Speaker 1: it's breathing super clear and just taking off into the woods.
- 36:42Speaker 3: When you say when the good stuff was easy to get,
- 36:45Speaker 3: are we talking about you know, like when you could
- 36:48Speaker 3: buy uh sit in feta meane product over the counter
- 36:54Speaker 3: instead of behind the you know, are we talking about
- 36:56Speaker 3: that you went to some somebody's trailer in Arkansas to
- 36:58Speaker 3: buy this stuff?
- 36:59Speaker 1: No?
- 37:00Speaker 4: No, no, no, it's it's it's when you could put
- 37:04Speaker 4: you could just get a bottle that had like suit
- 37:06Speaker 4: of fad.
- 37:07Speaker 1: So it was the good stuff back in the day
- 37:09Speaker 1: that they didn't keep behind the counter, that you didn't
- 37:11Speaker 1: have to show your ID for so basically, I'm going
- 37:15Speaker 1: to rephrase going to uh uh.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Sort of reset your story here. So what you did.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Was you chased a meth raccoon into the Arkansas.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Woods armed with only a flashlight. That's stupid. You're lucky
- 37:36Speaker 2: to be alive. Well an iPhone to cut you in
- 37:42Speaker 2: those wood let a bear finish you off.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I mean it's possible you were basically chasing the breaking
- 37:51Speaker 1: bad raccoon into the woods.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Right, I mean it occurred to me once or twice
- 37:56Speaker 4: that maybe he was leading me to the pack.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Uh huh. And your flashlight hits.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Instead of it being one looking stunned, it's a thousand
- 38:05Speaker 1: looking pissed off. There's a lesson here, Jerry, and that
- 38:11Speaker 1: is don't chase a raccoon into the Arkansas woods with
- 38:20Speaker 1: ingredients to make meth. You may have just been chasing
- 38:26Speaker 1: a myth chef.
- 38:28Speaker 4: I mean, I wouldn't put it past him.
- 38:32Speaker 1: So again, what's the lesson you have learned today? If
- 38:37Speaker 1: it's that good, just go ahead and throw it out there. Yes,
- 38:40Speaker 1: if you ever have a story about a raccoon stealing
- 38:43Speaker 1: your cough medicine and you chasing it into the woods
- 38:45Speaker 1: with nothing.
- 38:46Speaker 2: But a flashlight. You tell that story. We all need
- 38:50Speaker 2: to hear that story.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, or even in the broader scope, if
- 38:55Speaker 3: you can check the boxes of animal and drugs, it's
- 38:58Speaker 3: a story we need to hear every single fucking time.

- 39:49Speaker 1: I'm Dan, along with Trey and Jerry. Hopefully Raj will
- 39:53Speaker 1: be back from checking on his girlfriend tomorrow, our ex
- 39:56Speaker 1: checking on his X tomorrow. In the meantime, I know
- 40:01Speaker 1: that we're now in full Mariah season, Christmas season looking,
- 40:07Speaker 1: you know, and I often near the end of the
- 40:11Speaker 1: year start taking account of all the wonderful, ridiculous news
- 40:15Speaker 1: stories that we've covered here inside the Treehouse. And we
- 40:19Speaker 1: have a late contender for Story of the Year right now,
- 40:24Speaker 1: just before Christmas, and that is this a Georgia police
- 40:31Speaker 1: officer who once won Deputy of the Year was arrested
- 40:35Speaker 1: and charged with the DUI last week after he tried
- 40:39Speaker 1: to drunken lead direct traffic outside of an elementary school.
- 40:44Speaker 2: But wait, there's more.
- 40:49Speaker 1: There were no cars in the area.
- 40:55Speaker 2: That is truly special.
- 40:59Speaker 1: According to Houston County Sheriff's Deputy Garrison Page, when asked
- 41:03Speaker 1: what he was doing and whether he needed medical attention,
- 41:06Speaker 1: he said.
- 41:07Speaker 2: None of your business.
- 41:16Speaker 1: He was dressed in playing clothes and driving a patrol cars.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Obviously that's something some officers are allowed to do, but
- 41:22Speaker 1: according to the incident report, he was allegedly slurring his
- 41:25Speaker 1: words and standing unsteadily while taking while talking with officers
- 41:29Speaker 1: about what he was doing. He even walked away at
- 41:31Speaker 1: one point to allegedly keep standing in the road. One
- 41:35Speaker 1: witness who saw the scene called authorities that the officer
- 41:39Speaker 1: appeared not right and was talking to himself while directing
- 41:43Speaker 1: cars that did not exist. Look, I'm not one to
- 41:48Speaker 1: throw stones, but I gotta be honest with you. I've
- 41:54Speaker 1: never been so drunk that I hallucinated. I've never been
- 42:00Speaker 1: so because like, that's that's his job, right, so his job.
- 42:03Speaker 1: He was off duty his job is a police officer,
- 42:06Speaker 1: so he gets allegedly so drunk that he starts doing
- 42:09Speaker 1: his job. I've worked in radio now for pushing twenty six,
- 42:12Speaker 1: twenty seven years, and not once have I ever been
- 42:15Speaker 1: so drunk that I just started doing radio in the
- 42:18Speaker 1: middle of it. There's been many times I've been doing
- 42:23Speaker 1: radio where drunkenness broke out of the middle of that,
- 42:27Speaker 1: but never the other way around.
