- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always I invite
- 0:07Speaker 1: you to join along with me and prayer. Today is
- 0:10Speaker 1: Veterans Day, and so today I want to pray for
- 0:14Speaker 1: our military personnel and their families. I come from a
- 0:18Speaker 1: military family. Actually on both sides. I think about when
- 0:23Speaker 1: my cousin was serving actively during war and we're praying,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and I'm praying every day that Psalms ninety one over
- 0:32Speaker 1: his life. Thank God he came home safely to us.
- 0:34Speaker 1: But I also think about the terror that the families
- 0:37Speaker 1: feel when family is over, you know, serving our country
- 0:42Speaker 1: or just to sacrifice that families make and these individuals make.
- 0:47Speaker 1: So I want to pray for our military personnel. Gracious
- 0:50Speaker 1: and Almighty God, today we come in the name of
- 0:53Speaker 1: Jesus Christ and pause with reverence, gratitude, and honor for
- 0:58Speaker 1: the brave, brave men and women who are serving and
- 1:02Speaker 1: have served and continue to serve in our United States
- 1:06Speaker 1: Armed Forces. Lord, you know their sacrifice. You know the
- 1:10Speaker 1: nights they spent a week in lands far from home.
- 1:13Speaker 1: You know the weight they carry in their minds and
- 1:16Speaker 1: their bodies and in their hearts.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Father, we thank you for every veteran, those.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Who stood watch, those who stepped forward when others stepped back,
- 1:25Speaker 1: those who carried courage into places of fear.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Thank you, Lord God, for their.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Discipline, their commitment, and their willingness to protect people they
- 1:35Speaker 1: may never meet. We thank you for those serving right
- 1:38Speaker 1: now on ships, on bases, in the air, underground, on
- 1:42Speaker 1: the front lines. Cover them and your divine protection. Be
- 1:46Speaker 1: their shelter, be their sheer, be their peace. Lord.
- 1:50Speaker 2: We pray for.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Every family, their spouses who kept the home steady, the
- 1:55Speaker 1: children who learned to be strong early, and the parents
- 1:58Speaker 1: who live between pride and concern. Bless these families, God,
- 2:03Speaker 1: with strength that does not wear down, and joy that
- 2:05Speaker 1: does not fade.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Wrap your loving arms around.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Them and let them know God that you see them,
- 2:11Speaker 1: you value them, and you are with them.
- 2:15Speaker 2: God. For the veterans who came back with visible.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Scars, we ask for you, And for those who came
- 2:22Speaker 1: back with invisible wounds, memories that haunt, battles that replay
- 2:28Speaker 1: in their minds. Night This knights that feel long, God,
- 2:31Speaker 1: we ask for your peace that surpasses all human understanding.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Restore their minds, God, settle their spirits. Remind them that
- 2:40Speaker 1: they are more than what they saw or experienced, more
- 2:44Speaker 1: than what they survived, and more than what they remember. Lord,
- 2:48Speaker 1: comfort those who have lost loved.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Ones in service.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Hold the families who carry the weight of a folded flag. Jesus,
- 2:58Speaker 1: Surround them with your love left them, and your grace,
- 3:02Speaker 1: and remind them that their sacrifice is never forgotten.
- 3:07Speaker 2: We ask you to bless to strengthen and.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Uphold our military personnel and veterans.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Give them hope for tomorrow, healing for today, and honor
- 3:17Speaker 2: that never fails. Let Your presence walk with them. Let
- 3:21Speaker 2: your peace rest upon them. In your favor be their portion.
- 3:25Speaker 1: God. We pray all of this and the powerful, matchless
- 3:28Speaker 1: name of Jesus.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Amen.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Amen, Amen,
