- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's variety of thig ninety eight points.
- 0:02Speaker 2: All right, we are going to get some sunshine today
- 0:03Speaker 2: for the first day of spring, but it is going
- 0:05Speaker 2: to be windy. We have that red flag warning. This
- 0:07Speaker 2: afternoon got up to about thirty miles per hour.
- 0:09Speaker 3: I saw this interesting post from a friend of mine
- 0:12Speaker 3: who she went on to the East Coast to join
- 0:15Speaker 3: a news team. Right, she's a news broadcaster, Okay, but
- 0:20Speaker 3: she is about as Minnesotan as Minnesotan gets, you know, Oh, excuse.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Me, sorry, adorable because I grew up. I was born
- 0:27Speaker 2: in Denver, but I grew up in the Wadina Deer
- 0:31Speaker 2: Creek area, And when my parents were divorced, I'd go
- 0:33Speaker 2: back and forth between here and Cola.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Brato all the time Colorado.
- 0:37Speaker 2: A lot of people in Minnesota say, but I was
- 0:39Speaker 2: a puppet every time I would go back there. My
- 0:42Speaker 2: cousins everyone to be like, let me guess, Amanda, what
- 0:45Speaker 2: are you going to be on a boat? Oh, you're
- 0:47Speaker 2: a boat to come home? Are you coming over to
- 0:50Speaker 2: spend the night? What are you bringing a beg? I mean,
- 0:53Speaker 2: they used to make so much.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Fun of me. Yeah, and it was just funny.
- 0:56Speaker 3: She had posted that over the past like year and
- 0:59Speaker 3: a half, she's really kind of worked to not hide
- 1:03Speaker 3: per se, but sort of bury that Minnesota accent as
- 1:08Speaker 3: as she.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Could, and it it was kind of.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Interesting to see just she's trying to, what would the
- 1:12Speaker 3: word be, assimilate to the East Coast type of She's
- 1:15Speaker 3: not like fully changing her voice. I'm not saying that,
- 1:18Speaker 3: but it was just a funny post to see, and
- 1:20Speaker 3: so I was kind of curious, Amanda, is there an
- 1:22Speaker 3: accent that you just you just think, is it's just hot?
- 1:27Speaker 3: There's no other way to put it. What's the hoghest accent?
- 1:30Speaker 3: And is it Minnesotan? Is it tison? It could be
- 1:34Speaker 3: from a different country. Oh yeah, I'm going different country.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I've actually have two for a toss up and one
- 1:40Speaker 2: Keith Urban Australian accent.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Listen, the word.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Kept coming to me because I thought about how I
- 1:46Speaker 3: make records, which is very much like going in the
- 1:48Speaker 3: studio with the blank canvas and starting to paint real.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I just created it. You need it, never forget.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yes, we fest and I cannot remember the year I
- 2:00Speaker 2: had an opportunity to interview Keith Urban.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, top ten moments of my life. He's a very
- 2:08Speaker 1: cool dude. He smells so good.
- 2:11Speaker 2: He had a low button down shirt and a tattoo
- 2:14Speaker 2: coming out of his chest. I don't know what I
- 2:16Speaker 2: said to that man, but basically, just keep talking. I
- 2:19Speaker 2: was bright red. I don't get nervous very often. Sure,
- 2:23Speaker 2: Holy moly.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah, Now I will say I do think it helps
- 2:27Speaker 3: that Keith Urban is a good looking man. If he
- 2:30Speaker 3: is a goofy looking dude, I don't think you'd be
- 2:32Speaker 3: like Keith Urban's accent is great, no.
- 2:35Speaker 2: But I would take an Australian accent. There is something
- 2:37Speaker 2: about it. There's a guy named Paul at Happy Harry's
- 2:40Speaker 2: rib Fest every single year with h Oh my gosh,
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'm having a total brain fart his barbecue and he'll say,
- 2:48Speaker 2: shrimp up the bobby. Oh, it's amazing, Okay, And then
- 2:51Speaker 2: my second one is going to have to be Scottish
- 2:55Speaker 2: and it's because, like a Gerard Butler, what your wished.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Means shut up, which is probably what I should do
- 3:02Speaker 1: right now.
- 3:03Speaker 3: That's like killing my career one moment at the time, I'm.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Gerard Butler and this is Scottish slang.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Gerard Butler does it for you. What about good old
- 3:12Speaker 3: Mel Gibson and Brave Heart. You'll take our lives, but
- 3:15Speaker 3: you'll never take me.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Freedom's pretty good. You just ruined it for me. I'm
- 3:21Speaker 1: just kidding. I'm pretty good.
- 3:23Speaker 4: H No.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I love that. Yeah, and a lot of it is.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And because I love Gerard Butler, ps, I love you.
- 3:29Speaker 2: But when you start hearing people talk like that, oh,
- 3:31Speaker 2: it just melts my heart.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I And you know what's funny you said Australian earlier too.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I mean there's a lot of good looking people from Australia,
- 3:39Speaker 3: Liam Hemsworth, Margo Robbie to like the best looking people
- 3:43Speaker 3: on the planet, both Australian. Kind of interesting how that
- 3:45Speaker 3: works out?
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know what about you? I'll tell you what. For me.
- 3:49Speaker 3: There's one accent and one accent for me, and that
- 3:51Speaker 3: would be my wife's ultra Minnesotan accent. But if I
- 3:56Speaker 3: didn't get to pick Corey, all right, I tell you
- 3:58Speaker 3: what Kate Beckhensale does.
- 4:00Speaker 1: He really does. And this is how you get a
- 4:03Speaker 1: guy in the eighteen hundreds.
- 4:05Speaker 3: There's just something about that kind of posh fancy that again. Yeah,
- 4:10Speaker 3: I got you here. Let's play it one more time
- 4:11Speaker 3: for you. Kate Becasale I'm Kate.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Beckonsale and this is how you get a guy in
- 4:15Speaker 1: the eighteen hundreds.
- 4:16Speaker 3: There's something about that posh, fancy thing that is I
- 4:20Speaker 3: got you attractive because it's something I could never be
- 4:22Speaker 3: or do you know is that from my London?
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a British accent.
- 4:27Speaker 2: British Okay, I can see that.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Yeah, there's something something that just kind of does it
- 4:32Speaker 3: for me with that, and it also helps she's an
- 4:34Speaker 3: incredibly good looking lady.
- 4:36Speaker 2: What about when Britney Spears turns on her British accent?
- 4:39Speaker 3: What does that do for you? That makes me go
- 4:40Speaker 3: back to the Minnesota?
- 4:42Speaker 1: The accent trending. Now here's what you need to know.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Well, he's been talking about the possibility since the campaign,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and now President Trump plans to sign an executive order
- 4:55Speaker 2: today directing the shutdown of the US Department of Education,
- 4:58Speaker 2: advancing a long standing con servative goal. While the administration
- 5:01Speaker 2: has already implemented significant cuts to the Department, fully dismantling
- 5:05Speaker 2: the agency requires congressional action. And there's a new Chipotle
- 5:10Speaker 2: coming to town. This will be the fourth right here
- 5:12Speaker 2: in the FM area, and this one going to be
- 5:14Speaker 2: over off a fifty second Avenue, and I couldn't be happier.
- 5:17Speaker 1: We needed more over there.
- 5:19Speaker 2: When you get off on fifty second Avenue and start
- 5:21Speaker 2: going west, they've got a lot going on towards if
- 5:24Speaker 2: you were headed over to Davies and all of that,
- 5:26Speaker 2: which I get, but we needed more on the other side.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah, this is our neck of the woods. So I'm
- 5:30Speaker 3: a big fan of this Chipotle or as my dad
- 5:33Speaker 3: likes to call it. I to be honest, I don't
- 5:36Speaker 3: know if he knows he's saying it wrong, and I
- 5:38Speaker 3: hope he doesn't because that's adorable. What is very very
- 5:41Speaker 3: sweet man. And I don't know if he knows how
- 5:43Speaker 3: to say Chipotle. He always says either a Chipotle, which
- 5:47Speaker 3: I know is a joke, That's what I'm saying, But
- 5:49Speaker 3: he does say CHIPOLTI sometimes.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I think there's a lot of people who say CHIPOLTI.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I don't know if he knows he I can't tell
- 5:56Speaker 3: if he's messing around, I might text him and ask him.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But what was the other one? Chappottle? Yeah, we call
- 6:00Speaker 1: it a poddle a lot in the Glenn household.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I'm here for that, and do not forget Beginning at
- 6:06Speaker 2: six am on Saturday expects some parking restrictions in preparation
- 6:10Speaker 2: for the Saint Patty's Day parade. Signs are going to
- 6:12Speaker 2: be placed along the parade route, so no parking will
- 6:14Speaker 2: be allowed. That is six am to two pm. Any
- 6:17Speaker 2: vehicles being parked in that area if you had a
- 6:19Speaker 2: little late night on Friday starting at six am, will
- 6:22Speaker 2: be towed at the owner's expense. Today, first day of spring,
- 6:25Speaker 2: it is going to be windy Hia fifty five. We
- 6:27Speaker 2: do have that red flag warning this afternoon gusts up
- 6:30Speaker 2: to about thirty miles per hour. Looking ahead at your
- 6:33Speaker 2: forecast kind of and my kids are starting spring break today,
- 6:36Speaker 2: so I was kind of hoping it'd be nice to
- 6:37Speaker 2: be able to get outside. It's just going to be
- 6:40Speaker 2: windy the next few days, and there is a chance
- 6:41Speaker 2: of some flurries kind of on and off throughout the weekend.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Today's variety of big ninety eight point seven.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Well, it is a first day is spring, also the
- 6:50Speaker 2: first day of March madness.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Hopefully you guys are going to enjoy.
- 6:54Speaker 2: We do have some wind gusts today after about thirty
- 6:56Speaker 2: miles per hour.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Otherwise I'll high at fifty five in.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Honor of Let's Lee Day, which was yesterday, man, and
- 7:01Speaker 3: we celebrated. We didn't even know it. How could you
- 7:04Speaker 3: be so lucky? Always just chuckling.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I always think I'm the funniest, And the only reason
- 7:10Speaker 2: I think I'm funniest because I laugh at my own jokes.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Oh, I'm with you there. Yeah, I've actually learned some
- 7:15Speaker 3: things during this. How not funny I am, at least
- 7:17Speaker 3: according to one person at my house. Okay, but there
- 7:20Speaker 3: are some benefits. Obviously everyone knows this to laughing, but
- 7:23Speaker 3: what exactly are they all?
- 7:25Speaker 1: Right?
- 7:25Speaker 3: Laughing reduces the chances of you getting sick. I don't
- 7:30Speaker 3: know what is going on in the FM area, but
- 7:32Speaker 3: everyone on planet Earth has got it.
- 7:34Speaker 1: We got to be more funny because I've been sick
- 7:36Speaker 1: a lot like that.
- 7:36Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. You know what, I'm starting to
- 7:38Speaker 3: learn a lot. You've been sick a lot lately. My
- 7:41Speaker 3: wife has been sick for three days. I gave a
- 7:44Speaker 3: stress to no pressure, Bud.
- 7:46Speaker 2: But you're gonna go to step up your funny game
- 7:48Speaker 2: right now, exactly right.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Laughter is also contagious, and I think people.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Know that, right, which is why I think I'm funny
- 7:56Speaker 2: because I laugh at my own jokes, and people are
- 7:58Speaker 2: laughing because I'm laughing, not because it's funny.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Right, The likely, it's true, the likelihood of people laughing
- 8:08Speaker 3: in a group is thirty times more.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I saw have other people.
- 8:13Speaker 3: That's like, if you get a bad joke or something
- 8:15Speaker 3: and you want someone to giggle at it, you to
- 8:17Speaker 3: start chuckling a little bit.
- 8:18Speaker 2: And I'm going to be really honest. If you're out
- 8:19Speaker 2: with your really good friends, you don't even have to speak.
- 8:22Speaker 2: You just look at each other in the eye contact.
- 8:25Speaker 2: When you have really good friends, you know what you're
- 8:28Speaker 2: laughing at. Those are my favorite moments. That is so
- 8:30Speaker 2: good for the soul. I know it's kind of mean, girl,
- 8:33Speaker 2: but it's so good. That is very mean girl, I know,
- 8:37Speaker 2: but we all have a little of that in us,
- 8:38Speaker 2: and I'll be the first to admit it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: That's right.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Well, finally, Amanda, this is why you're in such good shape.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Here.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Laughing for ten minutes, laughing for ten minutes.
- 8:46Speaker 1: With the funny one. I'm just kidding.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Laughing for just ten minutes burns approximately fifty calories. Would
- 8:53Speaker 3: you say you burn about five hundred calories of program.
- 8:58Speaker 2: With a program of course I do, of course I do.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven. All right, weather
- 9:07Speaker 2: today we do have that red flag warning. This afternoon
- 9:09Speaker 2: starts at about one o'clock. Winga soaked about thirty miles
- 9:12Speaker 2: per hour. Otherwise some sunshine and fifty five.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Did you ready ready? That's he is piping hot today
- 9:19Speaker 1: and now Amanda fills the sea.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Let's see rat today JDP electric Kanye, just stop, just stop.
- 9:28Speaker 2: I wish it was that easy, and I have feelings
- 9:31Speaker 2: about it. I can only imagine how Kim Kardashian is
- 9:33Speaker 2: feeling after yesterday. It just looks like they're in for
- 9:37Speaker 2: a nasty custody fight. Kanye jumped on Twitter yesterday and
- 9:41Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys saw this or not,
- 9:42Speaker 2: and I'm going to try to use my kid gloves here,
- 9:44Speaker 2: but was accusing the Kardashians of being adult workers and
- 9:49Speaker 2: allowing their kids to be trafficked and saying that that
- 9:52Speaker 2: is exactly what's been going on behind closed doors. He
- 9:55Speaker 2: then took to X again and tried to provoke Beyonce
- 9:58Speaker 2: and jay Z by their kids really bad names.
- 10:01Speaker 1: That words you. We retired these words long ago. Yeah,
- 10:05Speaker 1: it's not the nineties. Why are you doing this? I
- 10:09Speaker 1: don't know.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I'm It's to the point Kanye is so far gone
- 10:13Speaker 3: for me that it's like it's so sad, it's almost
- 10:17Speaker 3: out of sight, out of mind. At this point, I
- 10:19Speaker 3: can't take anything he says serious.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't. I don't. I don't know. It's just
- 10:25Speaker 1: so hard for me to care what he has going
- 10:28Speaker 1: on at this point.
- 10:28Speaker 2: It's like it's one thing when you're saying things, and yes,
- 10:31Speaker 2: it's affecting people because you have a voice and you
- 10:33Speaker 2: have a platform. But when you're getting your kids involved
- 10:36Speaker 2: in other people, That's where I've gotta draw the line.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It's it's it's completely out of control.
- 10:41Speaker 2: But uh, I just don't know how you shut it
- 10:43Speaker 2: down really, to be honest.
- 10:44Speaker 3: With you, who is someone who's that has that level
- 10:48Speaker 3: of success? Is that you know, powerful in the music world.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Who's his money all of it?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 10:54Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Money? Who's his no person?
- 10:56Speaker 3: Right? Who says no in theory to Kanye other than
- 11:00Speaker 3: Kim I'm sure, But I just feel like he's surrounded
- 11:02Speaker 3: by a bunch of yes men.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Look at his now wife, Bianca Sensory and what she's wearing.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Have you I started seeing her Instagram posts, I'm like,
- 11:11Speaker 2: this is unbelievable to me.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you get been in a weird Kanye time, that's yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 1: And Tina Fey she got real.
- 11:18Speaker 2: About her feelings of side hustles. I have never thought
- 11:20Speaker 2: about this side hustles when it comes to celebrities.
- 11:23Speaker 1: They all kind of have them now right. I was
- 11:26Speaker 1: actually watching a Lifetime movie last.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Night and the whole entire commercial was Portia and Ellen
- 11:33Speaker 2: Howk in some new skincare product, them sitting in their
- 11:36Speaker 2: living room for two and a half minutes howk in
- 11:39Speaker 2: some skincare Like do you really need to be.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Doing Ellen also owns a bunch of la properties that
- 11:44Speaker 3: celebrities rent from her when they got to live there
- 11:47Speaker 3: for a while.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Do you know that I did not know? That is trustfulord.
- 11:50Speaker 2: If you're rich, I know you want to get richer
- 11:52Speaker 2: and the money is there, it kind of seems like
- 11:54Speaker 2: low hanging fruit.
- 11:55Speaker 1: But Tina Fey had some thoughts. I have a problem
- 11:58Speaker 1: with rich people having a side hustle. Yeah, what do
- 12:03Speaker 1: you mean like a podcast? No, this is your doing work.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm saying, if you if you sold Like, yeah, I know.
- 12:09Speaker 4: What you mean.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Like if I had if I had a rose if.
- 12:12Speaker 2: You yeah, and you have to believe in it, Like
- 12:15Speaker 2: I go to Tom Brady and his wellness program. That's
- 12:18Speaker 2: just something he was doing. Okay, let's tack my name
- 12:20Speaker 2: on it, because I truly believe in it. I'm on
- 12:22Speaker 2: board with that. Yeah, But some of these guys are like, Eh,
- 12:26Speaker 2: I'm just gonna have this to do this.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Uh j Loo.
- 12:29Speaker 2: She does not like alcohol. She's made that very clear,
- 12:32Speaker 2: but she's got skinny alcohol drinks.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I kind of feel a little different about athletes to
- 12:37Speaker 3: an extent, just because at some point they will be
- 12:40Speaker 3: too old and they can't do their job anymore.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I get that they need.
- 12:44Speaker 2: To do because Tom Brady at some point game is
- 12:46Speaker 2: going to be really struggling.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Now he might just be bored. But you can act
- 12:50Speaker 1: until you're ninety depends. Morgan Freeman begs to differ. That's true,
- 12:59Speaker 1: and I love this show.
- 13:01Speaker 2: It is back for another season. Netflix Quarterback has announced
- 13:04Speaker 2: Joe Burrow, Kirk Cousins, and Jared Goff are going to
- 13:07Speaker 2: be a part of this season. I loved kirk Cousins
- 13:11Speaker 2: when he was because he did this the first go round.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and it made me really like him. A lot
- 13:16Speaker 1: of people liked him after that.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, because you don't really know anything, you I mean,
- 13:20Speaker 2: he's just like a football player in my opinion.
- 13:23Speaker 1: But I loved how he would go home and.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Be a dad and he'd be reading stories after having
- 13:27Speaker 2: just like a devastating loss to his kids.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Why on earth would he agree to be in Well,
- 13:33Speaker 3: I guess they filmed during the season, so he didn't
- 13:35Speaker 3: know he was gonna be absolutely garbage. So oh, he
- 13:38Speaker 3: is gonna be the by far, the worst quarterback in
- 13:41Speaker 3: this group. He was god awful for the Atlanta Falcons
- 13:45Speaker 3: last year, so bad that they put in the guy
- 13:47Speaker 3: they drafted behind him early.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Well speaking, it's gonna be funny to watch kind of
- 13:52Speaker 2: full circle here. This is now his new side hustle.
- 13:56Speaker 2: This is what's.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Happening today's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Well, it's the first day of spring and spring break
- 14:05Speaker 2: for West Fargo.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Gonna be windy.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Today hya fifty five gus up to about thirty miles
- 14:10Speaker 2: per hour and at seven forty nine a m. On
- 14:13Speaker 2: the first day of spring break, I got a text
- 14:15Speaker 2: for my husband, So what are we gonna do with
- 14:17Speaker 2: these kids for the next few days.
- 14:20Speaker 3: You know, you never know when you're living in the
- 14:22Speaker 3: good times, you know that old saying like, oh I
- 14:24Speaker 3: missed the good old days. They never warn you that
- 14:27Speaker 3: once you're out of college and you go work and
- 14:30Speaker 3: you got a job you gotta go to every.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Day, spring break doesn't really exist anymore.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it's over laughing because I'm going, what
- 14:37Speaker 2: are we gonna do? Kind of it's only two days,
- 14:40Speaker 2: but yet gotta do something.
- 14:42Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:43Speaker 2: The weather I was kind of really hoping was going
- 14:45Speaker 2: to be fantastic, so we could just go to the
- 14:47Speaker 2: park and enjoy. Maybe take them out to ice cream
- 14:50Speaker 2: seven oh one to two eight oho one ninety eight seven.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I know, fargoes on spring break. There's parents listening right now, going, yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 2: it's day four for me and my family. If you're
- 14:58Speaker 2: not letting it easy.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Exactly to get out of town.
- 15:03Speaker 2: For us, it's like taking them to like swing golf clubs,
- 15:05Speaker 2: over at Sweet Shots, maybe a little bowling.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I don't know. I want to do something fun and
- 15:09Speaker 1: different though. Yeah, well I don't have kids, so this
- 15:13Speaker 1: is what you do. If Uncle Gabe had kids.
- 15:15Speaker 3: For the day, where would you take your kids? Uncle
- 15:17Speaker 3: Gabe had so like Sit and Briggs. Yeah, all right,
- 15:20Speaker 3: if Uncle.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Gabe had Sit and Briggs.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Well, sadly, there is part of my routine that they
- 15:26Speaker 3: would have to jump in and be a part of.
- 15:29Speaker 3: So you know, whether they wanted to do a little
- 15:31Speaker 3: walk around the South Fargo area with the dog or
- 15:34Speaker 3: go to the dog park. But there is a park
- 15:36Speaker 3: over there, maybe we'd play some I don't know. Do
- 15:39Speaker 3: they play at the park they bride say, I love
- 15:41Speaker 3: if that's actually a good idea.
- 15:42Speaker 1: We don't do a lot of park hopping.
- 15:44Speaker 2: They get stuck in the one that's right behind our
- 15:46Speaker 2: back like backyard.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Well, they would go to the one right out my
- 15:49Speaker 1: front yard. That's actually a good idea. You're see, you
- 15:53Speaker 1: are a wealth of knowledge. You don't even know. Hey,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I bought us an hour.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Well, and as parents, I think we overthink sure because
- 16:01Speaker 2: we're in it in the thick all the time, and
- 16:03Speaker 2: not that we have to always be doing something like today.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, if I just even said, hey, let's
- 16:07Speaker 2: make homemade pizzas, they'd get excited about it, sure, Or
- 16:11Speaker 2: with mom, if I were to say we're making a
- 16:13Speaker 2: charcuterie board, they'd lose their minds.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I would probably give them. I don't know.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I would just try to trick them into doing chores,
- 16:22Speaker 3: is what I'm saying. I'd offer them like a nickel
- 16:24Speaker 3: for every dish they washed or something. You know, that's
- 16:28Speaker 3: the old uncle Gabe trick that there's nothing wrong with that.
- 16:31Speaker 2: But this is where this is where you almost need
- 16:33Speaker 2: like an uncle or a grandpa or somebody to come
- 16:35Speaker 2: over and do that, because if I were to do it,
- 16:37Speaker 2: be like, Mom, I know what you're doing here right right?
- 16:41Speaker 2: And then where are we going to go spend that
- 16:43Speaker 2: quarter nickel or dime? Yeah, it's not as.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Fun, you know.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Maybe I would take them on just a little Uncle Gabe, right,
- 16:49Speaker 3: not Mom, Amanda, uncle Gabe. Maybe I'd take them on
- 16:51Speaker 3: a little fun food date or something.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Do they like food? Do they like food?
- 16:56Speaker 3: They're six and four. I'm saying, like that's all they do.
- 16:59Speaker 3: I'm saying, are they pick though?
- 17:00Speaker 4: Like?
- 17:01Speaker 3: Do I have to get the nuggies and the chicken fingers?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Or could we go maybe do a little sushi or something? Yeah,
- 17:08Speaker 1: Sidney with sushi. Absolutely?
- 17:10Speaker 2: By the way, what are you doing at I don't know,
- 17:12Speaker 2: nine oh one this morning?
- 17:13Speaker 1: You want to go relieve Nick? I take sid the
- 17:16Speaker 1: red lobster. I'll buy your love well, I can afford it.
- 17:19Speaker 1: She's all in.
- 17:22Speaker 3: She trampoline is on now and Amanda will have What's
- 17:25Speaker 3: going on in the world coming up at eight o'clock. Here,
- 17:28Speaker 3: I'm Big ninety eight point seven.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven, Happy first day
- 17:35Speaker 2: of spring.
- 17:36Speaker 1: It is gonna be windy today. Guess what's about thirty
- 17:38Speaker 1: miles per hour? Otherwise some sunshine and HIA fifty five.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm being nosy today.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I want to know are you the passenger princess or
- 17:45Speaker 3: the driver in your relationship?
- 17:48Speaker 1: I would love to drive, but well, hang on a second,
- 17:52Speaker 1: let's get my husband a call. Does he not let
- 17:54Speaker 1: you drive? Here's here's a fun little Oh.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Okay, go morning sunshine, Good morning doing today, just doing dandy.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Happy first day of spring? Bank, How you holding up?
- 18:09Speaker 4: We're all We're all here.
- 18:11Speaker 1: We're all here. It sounds like surviving driving Sydney. Please
- 18:16Speaker 1: raise your hand if you've made it. I'm just kidding. Okay, honey,
- 18:19Speaker 1: really quick and.
- 18:20Speaker 4: A half hours into survival mode.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That's actually not the reason we're calling a question for you.
- 18:28Speaker 1: What would it take? What we live? Yeah? What would
- 18:33Speaker 1: it take for you to let me drive? Well, you're
- 18:40Speaker 1: in the car.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I probably have to be dead in the cask.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I'd have to husband. He refuses to let me drive?
- 18:53Speaker 1: That bad of a driver? Is she that bad of
- 18:54Speaker 1: a driver?
- 18:55Speaker 4: Nick, Well, you see on sitting there all day? All
- 19:00Speaker 4: she does is she's on her phone all day.
- 19:02Speaker 1: No, I am not driving, Are you kidding? Not true?
- 19:06Speaker 1: He is making excuses.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I might as well drive. We might as well drive
- 19:10Speaker 4: two steps of cars. I sit there and find myself
- 19:13Speaker 4: every time we go somewhere for the lake wherever, it's
- 19:17Speaker 4: an hour and a half, and she hasn't say a
- 19:18Speaker 4: word to me.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because you make me sit in the passenger seat,
- 19:21Speaker 2: I have nothing else to do.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Well, try having a conversation with your husband. Might be
- 19:27Speaker 4: Nick for starters, But I.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Also can't pay attention when he's driving because he's going
- 19:31Speaker 2: fifty and let's say we're on Highway ten, he's going
- 19:35Speaker 2: the speed limit.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Like you can't just go? I drive. I know it's
- 19:38Speaker 1: so exhausting.
- 19:40Speaker 4: It's fun paying speeding ticket, isn't it.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Yes, Nick, I also have a wife and I do
- 19:44Speaker 3: most of the driving. The main reason I do a
- 19:47Speaker 3: lot of the driving. Is I value my life too much? Okay,
- 19:50Speaker 3: I'm getting there alive and safe.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'm with you.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Yep.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Well, we appreciate talking to Nick today. Here Amanda's hobby soul.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Unbelievable. You're the passenger, prince, is what I've learned.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and apparently I am while I'm driving too.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Oh geez. At my house, I am also the driver.
- 20:08Speaker 3: My wife would she would ride Shotgun one hundred times
- 20:11Speaker 3: out of one hundred if she could.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I love driving because then I could be in charge
- 20:16Speaker 2: of the music, just.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Everything, just a control thing for you.
- 20:20Speaker 1: You nailed it. Today's Variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I'll ride some sunshine today. Hiya fifty five, but windy
- 20:28Speaker 2: gusts up about thirty miles per hour.
- 20:30Speaker 3: A man of growing up, did you ever get lost
- 20:32Speaker 3: or as a mom to have your kids ever got lost?
- 20:35Speaker 3: You're in a panic, had to find him real quick.
- 20:37Speaker 2: The only instance I've had as a mom was we
- 20:40Speaker 2: were at Shiels and my daughter. We were trying to
- 20:42Speaker 2: get my son's shoes and she had walked off. It
- 20:46Speaker 2: was brief, but immediate panics. Oh yeah, I mean within
- 20:50Speaker 2: two minutes. I can't imagine how my mom felt She
- 20:54Speaker 2: was a single mom at the time, and we were
- 20:58Speaker 2: in I'm just gonna was in Colorado.
- 21:01Speaker 1: But I'm going to give you perspective here.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Imagine my mom and I shopping at Westacres and we
- 21:06Speaker 2: are at JC Penny. She's looking at something. She thought
- 21:10Speaker 2: I was in the rack. He could not find me.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I was all the way down at Best Buy. By
- 21:17Speaker 2: the time they found me, that was all the way across.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Needless to say, after.
- 21:23Speaker 2: That incident, I was the kid on the monkey leash.
- 21:26Speaker 2: My mom bought the monkey leash, and everywhere I went
- 21:30Speaker 2: I was attached to the monkey leash.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Embarrassing, but rather be safe than sorry, totally.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I mean I laughed because you see people, I'm like,
- 21:37Speaker 2: oh my gosh, you really have to have your kid
- 21:39Speaker 2: on a leash.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Comedians make jokes about those leashes all the time.
- 21:43Speaker 2: At the same time, I think, when you've been traumatized, Yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 2: why not? Yeah, I have not hit that stage of
- 21:49Speaker 2: parentinging my kids. Wellly don't take them anywhere. I'm just kidding.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. The kitchen pretty tough to get lost
- 21:56Speaker 1: in there. Yeah, another day at home, guys, no good
- 21:59Speaker 1: da have. It's so rough. I don't remember ever getting lost.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I know there are a couple of times I was,
- 22:04Speaker 3: you know, the same thing at a at those clothing
- 22:07Speaker 3: stores JC Penny Coals whatever. I would mess around on
- 22:11Speaker 3: the inside of the racks where there's like coats, and
- 22:13Speaker 3: I'm sure my mom couldn't find me for chunks of time.
- 22:16Speaker 1: But I also kind of think she sort of just
- 22:18Speaker 1: gave up caring.
- 22:19Speaker 3: It was like, well, you know what if you if
- 22:21Speaker 3: I can't find you'll just see at the front door,
- 22:23Speaker 3: I'll page your name over the over the name of
- 22:26Speaker 3: the intercom or whatever.
- 22:27Speaker 2: But I also's frightening. I also watch way way too
- 22:30Speaker 2: much Dateline. I grew up watching unsolved mysteries like my
- 22:35Speaker 2: brain goes I am a psycho.
- 22:36Speaker 3: This was also in nineteen ninety three, ninety four. Yeah,
- 22:39Speaker 3: but you know how different, oh vastly.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Do you know how many of these unsolved mysteries are
- 22:44Speaker 2: still from the nineties from people coming out of malt
- 22:47Speaker 2: But we.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Used to be able to bike to like the pool
- 22:49Speaker 3: and the park by ourselves, and we'd be there for hours.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I know you can't really do that now, But either way,
- 22:54Speaker 3: I never remember being lost, but I do remember my
- 22:58Speaker 3: mother strangely enough, never seemed to be around for these moments.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Where were you there? Dad? But that was uh.
- 23:04Speaker 3: My mom left my sister at church once. So church
- 23:09Speaker 3: was done, Me my brother get in the car, and
- 23:12Speaker 3: none of us happened to go like, hey, where's Molly.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I just stop it. I just assumed she was going
- 23:17Speaker 3: to a friend's house or something, or my mom had
- 23:20Speaker 3: figured it out.
- 23:21Speaker 1: And church was on't ten fifteen minutes away.
- 23:24Speaker 3: We're almost to our driveway and my mom slams on
- 23:28Speaker 3: the brakes.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Oh my god, we forgot Molly.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Turns around, drives all the way back, gets Molly at church.
- 23:36Speaker 3: And of course, if there's one place to be left,
- 23:39Speaker 3: you're probably gonna be okay. At church there someone there
- 23:41Speaker 3: will look at you. It's not like a truck stop. Yeah, exactly.
- 23:44Speaker 3: And Molly was found safe and sound, just hanging out.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Didn't shed a tear nothing. I think she was just brave.
- 23:52Speaker 3: I have no idea I'd have been bawling if I
- 23:54Speaker 3: got left at church.
- 23:55Speaker 2: The joy of having the two kids, my daughter being
- 23:58Speaker 2: the oldest. If we were two leave first of all,
- 24:01Speaker 2: SID would just I can't imagine that happening. And she
- 24:04Speaker 2: wouldn't write not it's their personality. Sure, but she would
- 24:08Speaker 2: be the one to tell me, mom, where's Briggs?
- 24:10Speaker 1: Like she would be the Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 3: You know, looking back on it, maybe my brother and
- 24:15Speaker 3: I were just real sick of my younger sister.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 24:21Speaker 2: All right, first say of spring, you can get out
- 24:23Speaker 2: and enjoy. It is going to be sunny, high fifty five,
- 24:25Speaker 2: but with that, it's going to be windy this afternoon,
- 24:27Speaker 2: gus up to about thirty miles per hour.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I love this story because it is something that a
- 24:36Speaker 3: bunch of people kind of get behind and in the
- 24:38Speaker 3: grand scheme of life, it's really not that big of
- 24:41Speaker 3: a deal, but it is fun to know that a
- 24:43Speaker 3: lot of people are into this. Okay, and I actually
- 24:46Speaker 3: have this up right now. Have you ever heard of
- 24:49Speaker 3: the fish doorbell, Amanda? I mean you are fish or
- 24:52Speaker 3: so maybe you have. I don't know, no, how have
- 24:54Speaker 3: I never heard of this? Okay? So officials in the
- 24:57Speaker 3: Netherlands they have brought back they're popular fish doorbell. It's
- 25:02Speaker 3: something they've been doing since twenty twenty one and it
- 25:06Speaker 3: helps fish migrate up a river. There's this gate that
- 25:10Speaker 3: they can't get past unless someone opens it.
- 25:14Speaker 1: For them right.
- 25:15Speaker 3: So they set up this live stream and they let
- 25:18Speaker 3: people from all over the world help.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Monitor this gate.
- 25:22Speaker 3: If you see a fish, you click on this button
- 25:25Speaker 3: and let someone know, Hey, open up the gate. And
- 25:29Speaker 3: I have this up as we're speaking right now, and
- 25:32Speaker 3: there are currently just under two thousand people watching this
- 25:35Speaker 3: right now, helping little fishes migrate up a river. In
- 25:38Speaker 3: the grand scheme of life, good news might be on
- 25:41Speaker 3: the more minor end. I just think it's very cute
- 25:43Speaker 3: that people care that much to help these fish.
- 25:45Speaker 1: It is cute.
- 25:46Speaker 2: But this entire time that you were talking, I'm envisioning
- 25:49Speaker 2: an actual doorbell and somebody's pushing it and it's doing
- 25:53Speaker 2: something with fish in my home, like the ring camera,
- 25:56Speaker 2: like the old billy bass, remember the billy bass that
- 25:59Speaker 2: you would hit, And I'm.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Thinking, oh my gosh, this would be so fun. I'm
- 26:03Speaker 1: coming home with one. I'm adding it to my Amazon card,
- 26:05Speaker 1: and my husband's gonna kill me. Yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 3: I just love that there's a lot of people who
- 26:09Speaker 3: do get behind this and think it's pretty interesting, and
- 26:11Speaker 3: I think it's very cool.
- 26:12Speaker 2: People are loving watching like the eagles that people are
- 26:17Speaker 2: watching right now, and they there's like, was it a
- 26:21Speaker 2: z not a zebra like remember the giraffe. Im he
- 26:25Speaker 2: watching them get have birth or give birth or have
- 26:28Speaker 2: birth give birth.
- 26:31Speaker 3: This is called and I'm gonna butcher this because I'm
- 26:33Speaker 3: sure I have the terrible accent for it. But visitor
- 26:36Speaker 3: bell and uh visitor bell dot NL.
- 26:40Speaker 1: It's spelled v I S d eu r b e L.
- 26:47Speaker 3: So if you are ever having trouble sleeping at night
- 26:49Speaker 3: and you need something to lull you to sleep, go
- 26:52Speaker 3: watch this little doorbell deal. See if you see a fishy,
- 26:55Speaker 3: push the button, and you know you can help out
- 26:56Speaker 3: a fish today.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Cute. The world's full of nice people. You can find one.
- 27:00Speaker 1: You gotta be one. Trappe Spake, ninety eight point seven
