- 33:58Speaker 6: Maybe w y A is the song by Jay Deer,
- 34:09Speaker 6: and that song means where are you at the folks?
- 34:13Speaker 6: Let's pull in Ruby to this party right now? How
- 34:15Speaker 6: are you Ruby?
- 34:16Speaker 14: Hi's Sammy?
- 34:17Speaker 32: Good as all with you?
- 34:18Speaker 6: We're doing well, We're doing well. What a story here?
- 34:21Speaker 6: You know, we hear about newborns and kids and different
- 34:25Speaker 6: hazards out there, but one of the scariest ones that
- 34:28Speaker 6: I know every young parent has to deal with is
- 34:30Speaker 6: choking and things like that. And there's so many hazards
- 34:34Speaker 6: and so much to be aware of. Ruby, What do
- 34:36Speaker 6: you hear out there?
- 34:38Speaker 32: So grapes, spies, cats, cherry's anything that you're little one,
- 34:44Speaker 32: and we don't think of it. If you haven't notice,
- 34:46Speaker 32: I'm noticing that the grapes, the size, the size of
- 34:49Speaker 32: them now, they're bigger than they.
- 34:50Speaker 6: Used to be.
- 34:51Speaker 32: So anytime you're having those grapes, guys, making sure that
- 34:54Speaker 32: you're cutting them either halfway length wise or cutting them
- 34:58Speaker 32: in fours however cut them. And the reason why I'm
- 35:01Speaker 32: asking for them is because an eight year old child
- 35:04Speaker 32: that choked on his snack and there was nothing anyone,
- 35:08Speaker 32: anybody could do.
- 35:09Speaker 6: To really help him.
- 35:10Speaker 32: So he was at his aunt's house having some snacks
- 35:13Speaker 32: and you know, having a grape. Next thing, they knew
- 35:15Speaker 32: that he couldn't breathe. So of course, first of all,
- 35:18Speaker 32: you're supposed to hit them right, you know, on their
- 35:20Speaker 32: back four times, and then of course with the Heimlich maneuver. Right, well,
- 35:24Speaker 32: they tried everything. This is a story from Atlanta. They
- 35:27Speaker 32: called nine one one and nine one one had put
- 35:30Speaker 32: them on hold.
- 35:31Speaker 14: So check that out. So they put him in the car.
- 35:34Speaker 32: They took him to the hospital and guys asked for that.
- 35:37Speaker 32: He was on a ventilator, but this is a very
- 35:39Speaker 32: common story for kids four years, six years, eight years old.
- 35:44Speaker 32: They're choking on this stuff and it's great for a
- 35:46Speaker 32: lot of the time. So he got to be very
- 35:48Speaker 32: very careful.
- 35:49Speaker 14: And it's just the size of them.
- 35:51Speaker 32: And I looked at X rays as well, because I
- 35:53Speaker 32: know how I started investigate that they're eating habits, making
- 35:56Speaker 32: sure they're chewing them, but just cut them.
- 35:58Speaker 14: It doesn't take us too.
- 35:59Speaker 32: Long, right, It's something really important and it could save
- 36:02Speaker 32: a life.
- 36:02Speaker 6: Guys, Yeah, I think to your point, the grapes are
- 36:05Speaker 6: so much bigger. Sorry, let me die. I think to
- 36:10Speaker 6: your point, ruby grapes is so much bigger than they
- 36:12Speaker 6: used to be. You actually can cut them into forts
- 36:15Speaker 6: like you you know, whereas maybe so many years ago
- 36:17Speaker 6: you couldn't they were so small.
- 36:19Speaker 32: Yeah, they're huge now. Do you remember those wine grapes
- 36:22Speaker 32: feel like almost the side of those when I get
- 36:24Speaker 32: the organic kind of like you know, I'm not understanding,
- 36:27Speaker 32: but they're huge now. So for little kids, even for
- 36:29Speaker 32: adults or elderly guys, just try to cut them up.
- 36:33Speaker 32: But job, you've got nothing else, right, Yeah, yeah, be careful.
- 36:36Speaker 6: We're eating fruits. Yeah, especially for the young ones those
- 36:38Speaker 6: the surface of it is very slippery and kind of
- 36:41Speaker 6: like the wrong bite almost shoots the grape into your
- 36:44Speaker 6: throat almost and it becomes very difficult to control. Ruby.
- 36:49Speaker 6: Any other advice for young parents out there looking at
- 36:52Speaker 6: babies and stuff like this, or even the young kids
- 36:55Speaker 6: there that are eating, other than cutting the food or
- 36:57Speaker 6: anything like that, any particular kind of advice particularly for them, sammy.
- 37:03Speaker 32: Young kids, or even the elderly grandparents orre some of
- 37:05Speaker 32: those dementia. Now, remember guys, you know a lot of
- 37:08Speaker 32: times we'll say, oh, hurry up and eat this and
- 37:10Speaker 32: then you can go play. You're gonna have to sit
- 37:12Speaker 32: there and just watch them, and people will say, well,
- 37:14Speaker 32: we grew up, nothing happened.
- 37:16Speaker 6: Then, guys got them. Watch them.
- 37:19Speaker 32: Make sure you're sitting in front of them, and of
- 37:21Speaker 32: course always know the tips you know for helping that
- 37:24Speaker 32: ki if they're choking elderly children, be careful.
- 37:29Speaker 6: Excellent advice Ruby really is. And thank you so much
- 37:32Speaker 6: for covering this story for us. It's really important for
- 37:35Speaker 6: us and for us to be reminded on this. I
- 37:37Speaker 6: think we all sometimes forget, and especially with young kids
- 37:41Speaker 6: in the house, that it's important to cut these vegetables
- 37:44Speaker 6: up into smaller pieces so they can chew them and
- 37:46Speaker 6: there's no hazards. So yeah, good stuff. We all need
- 37:50Speaker 6: to know this. Thank you Ruby, thanks for bringing this
- 37:52Speaker 6: to the.
- 37:52Speaker 32: Tabley, Thank you guys, and no frid to listen to
- 37:55Speaker 32: me on RUCAS.
- 37:58Speaker 6: Yeah this evening six pm, make sure everybody tunes into
- 38:01Speaker 6: the Ruby BOSSI Show. This next song we have is Rozsi.
- 38:09Speaker 5: Who do you.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Give him.
- 38:15Speaker 3: As you do?

- 39:32Speaker 33: Goby Lincoln, Noble Candy Cool Go Dozi has.
- 39:49Speaker 14: Upend You Coffee has My rob Shaw.
- 40:04Speaker 6: Great song right there, folks, Let's bring in my main man.
- 40:07Speaker 6: Sonny got a while to this Thursday episode. How are you, Sonny?
- 40:12Speaker 34: I'm doing very well, Berkeley. I want to say congratulations.
- 40:15Speaker 34: And I know that that special show with your little
- 40:17Speaker 34: one that must have been amazing.
- 40:19Speaker 6: Listen, Sonny, I know that you've probably done that before too,
- 40:22Speaker 6: but just spending time and creating that core memory with
- 40:26Speaker 6: her was a lot of fun. I had a great
- 40:28Speaker 6: time doing it.
- 40:29Speaker 34: I've been blessed over the years.
- 40:32Speaker 6: You know, we've been doing this for over twelve years.
- 40:35Speaker 34: And yeah, when Tyler's burned up, she was on the
- 40:38Speaker 34: radio when she didn't even know what radio was, she
- 40:40Speaker 34: was just a little baby. And then as time went on,
- 40:43Speaker 34: every year she would turn up at the radio station
- 40:46Speaker 34: and say something and we've got all these little clippits
- 40:48Speaker 34: of her doing stuff like that. So it's just been amazing.
- 40:51Speaker 34: So she's been on the BBC and she's been to
- 40:54Speaker 34: Can as the first child who was allowed to go
- 40:57Speaker 34: to Can with her own identity. Wow, man, like on
- 41:04Speaker 34: the record as the foll style, you know what I mean.
- 41:07Speaker 34: So that's really cool, that's right. They were so wonderful.
- 41:09Speaker 34: I mean, like, you can't you can't make these memories up,
- 41:11Speaker 34: you know what I mean. And you can't thinking about memories.
- 41:14Speaker 34: I mean like she she's probably going to see you
- 41:18Speaker 34: in a different light when she sees your pictures from
- 41:21Speaker 34: your earlier time, earlier decades, and she'll be ap to
- 41:25Speaker 34: identify and look, that's when dad was in the eighties,
- 41:27Speaker 34: and that's when Dad was in for like the seventies,
- 41:29Speaker 34: because we had a different look.
- 41:31Speaker 6: And we had a certain style.
- 41:33Speaker 34: But then and at some point, and I'm not sure
- 41:36Speaker 34: when that happened, but style almost became non existent and
- 41:42Speaker 34: everyone's side looking different.
- 41:46Speaker 6: But also you could check you.
- 41:49Speaker 34: Could almost identify groups now as opposed to decades. Doesn't
- 41:53Speaker 34: make sense on it.
- 41:54Speaker 6: That's really interesting, you know. I feel like we're either
- 41:57Speaker 6: living through this eighties to nineties kind of transition right
- 42:00Speaker 6: now culturally. But then again, there's so much in our
- 42:05Speaker 6: style and fashion out there that I just can't quite
- 42:08Speaker 6: peg down where it's from so which beckons the question,
- 42:11Speaker 6: are we still living in the cycle of these styles
- 42:14Speaker 6: in these decades that we used to identify them by,
- 42:17Speaker 6: or have we kind of transformed out of this kind
- 42:21Speaker 6: of era by era fashion style? You know, where are
- 42:25Speaker 6: we at with this, Sonny, I don't listen.
- 42:27Speaker 34: I'll be honest with you. When we look at the
- 42:29Speaker 34: fashion houses and they've always been av on god and
- 42:31Speaker 34: really extreme, you know, like when I was younger, I
- 42:34Speaker 34: was like, why are we watching? Sorry, if you're into fashion,
- 42:38Speaker 34: the fashion shows and you know, when people are walking
- 42:40Speaker 34: down the catwalk. We were always questioning, you will never
- 42:45Speaker 34: see that in the high street. But we didn't realize
- 42:47Speaker 34: how much that influenced what happens in the high street
- 42:51Speaker 34: right and fashion is so far at the moment with
- 42:55Speaker 34: things like you know, like online services like she On,
- 42:59Speaker 34: for example, I can you as an example right now,
- 43:01Speaker 34: because they are the most fastest turnaround fashion houses and
- 43:06Speaker 34: websites I think in the world, where you know, you'll
- 43:11Speaker 34: put something out in Vogue and within maybe twenty four hours,
- 43:16Speaker 34: if not less, you'll be able to get that garment
- 43:18Speaker 34: on Shean because they've got that much of a big
- 43:20Speaker 34: network and you'll be able to wear it and walk
- 43:22Speaker 34: around with it, and that fashion houses used to be
- 43:25Speaker 34: once or twice a year. Now you're seeing a fashion
- 43:29Speaker 34: show every other week or every other every other month.
- 43:32Speaker 34: And they're from different and they're not even from the
- 43:33Speaker 34: same houses. They're coming from India, they're coming from they're
- 43:37Speaker 34: coming from the Native Americans, They're coming from different influences
- 43:42Speaker 34: in the sense of fusion way, and places like Japan
- 43:47Speaker 34: and China. What they are doing is taking the vintage
- 43:50Speaker 34: looks of the past and just made them, you know,
- 43:55Speaker 34: better wearables. I mean, for example, when you look at Levi's,
- 43:59Speaker 34: for example, the old Levi's why they sell for so
- 44:01Speaker 34: much and everything number one they've been to these number
- 44:03Speaker 34: two they last longer because they were made better. Now
- 44:06Speaker 34: you have to go to Salviage denim, which is still
- 44:09Speaker 34: manufactured in the same way. They've got the they've got
- 44:12Speaker 34: the talent, they've got the machine. And you go to
- 44:14Speaker 34: Japan and you will find the same denim that was
- 44:17Speaker 34: made in America years ago, and you'll be able to
- 44:20Speaker 34: pick up an authentic pair of jeans that probably your
- 44:23Speaker 34: great great grandfather used to wear. But you have to
- 44:26Speaker 34: go to a different country to look for that look, right,
- 44:28Speaker 34: So I guess there is I think where we are
- 44:32Speaker 34: now with so much going on, you pick your tribe,
- 44:36Speaker 34: and you pick your look, and you can sit in
- 44:38Speaker 34: that for the rest of your life and you don't
- 44:39Speaker 34: have to look a certain way.
- 44:40Speaker 6: You're really good, Sonny. It's so true because it's one
- 44:43Speaker 6: of those things that I think that people are now.
- 44:46Speaker 6: You know, it's you know, when I look at at
- 44:48Speaker 6: least when I drop off my daughter at school or
- 44:50Speaker 6: any of the other kids. You know, once upon a time,
- 44:53Speaker 6: it almost felt like the kids were dressed in costume
- 44:55Speaker 6: rather than in their own clothes. You know, there was
- 44:58Speaker 6: this kind of shift through and that. So I'm really
- 45:00Speaker 6: curious to see how this goes going forward, whether as
- 45:02Speaker 6: to people really kind of go towards that direction more
- 45:05Speaker 6: or is it kind of really built around these simple basics.
- 45:08Speaker 6: I don't know. I feel like either one could happen
- 45:10Speaker 6: going forward.
- 45:12Speaker 34: Listen, all I'm waiting for is the shoulder pads to
- 45:14Speaker 34: come back, and so I can actually put some of
- 45:17Speaker 34: my dad close on from the no one brought by
- 45:20Speaker 34: the shoulder pad.
- 45:22Speaker 6: Hang on to the shoulder pads. Whether they may be
- 45:24Speaker 6: coming back, Sonny, they may you know came up. Yeah, great,
- 45:28Speaker 6: hanging out with you, Sonny, see you next week, my man. Yeah,
- 45:32Speaker 6: here's the here's a the Levendor song. Messed me with
- 45:35Speaker 6: that with push colo on.
