- 5:45Speaker 3: know in the comments. I don't have my fabulous host
- 5:48Speaker 3: Jazzy to kind of keep me on point. But I've
- 5:52Speaker 3: had a lot of stuff going on this evening, so
- 5:54Speaker 3: I'm trying to get ready. So I hope y'all are
- 5:57Speaker 3: ready too. I got some things I wanted to talk
- 5:59Speaker 3: to you about this evening, so come on in. Usually
- 6:02Speaker 3: I have a little, you know, a little warning about
- 6:06Speaker 3: me coming on stage and stuff, but I am trying
- 6:10Speaker 3: to get everything together. Hello, everybody, come in, Come in.
- 6:15Speaker 3: The welcome Matt has been laid down. Okay, so we
- 6:19Speaker 3: are ready. I have I hope you guys can hear me.
- 6:23Speaker 3: It looks like I'm connected correctly. I have a couple
- 6:27Speaker 3: of things to talk to you guys about today. I
- 6:30Speaker 3: gotta be honest. Today is not one of those times
- 6:34Speaker 3: where I am readily.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Available to deliver this message.
- 6:40Speaker 3: But you know, I'm always available for God, so when
- 6:45Speaker 3: he makes a way for me to do what I
- 6:47Speaker 3: need to do, I'm here so we can hear you. Sorry, hey, Jazzie,
- 6:52Speaker 3: thanks for checking in. Jessie says she couldn't be here
- 6:56Speaker 3: with us today, but she is checking in, and don't
- 7:01Speaker 3: be sorry that you couldn't be here. One thing about
- 7:03Speaker 3: Jazzy is she is doing some things. I can't wait
- 7:07Speaker 3: to check in on Jazzy on some different things going
- 7:11Speaker 3: on and follow up with her. She will be on
- 7:13Speaker 3: the next episode. But my beautiful co host just is
- 7:18Speaker 3: she's obeying the rules and the laws of her journey
- 7:21Speaker 3: right now. So I salute you, Jazzy, and I can't
- 7:25Speaker 3: wait to follow up with you. And I know you
- 7:27Speaker 3: got a beautiful testimony you want to share with everybody,
- 7:30Speaker 3: so that's coming up. But again, I just want to
- 7:35Speaker 3: welcome everybody in. Go ahead and come on in and
- 7:41Speaker 3: let me get ready to talk to you about some
- 7:43Speaker 3: things that I'm not really ready to talk to you about.
- 7:46Speaker 3: This is going to be after following last episode, the
- 7:50Speaker 3: last episode on that to Business of Patient Procrastinator. In
- 7:56Speaker 3: that episode, I learned a lot about myself, you know,
- 7:59Speaker 3: maybe even gave some excuses and some reasons as to
- 8:02Speaker 3: why we do some things right. But we came to
- 8:05Speaker 3: the realization of it doesn't all that means nothing stop it.
- 8:10Speaker 4: So while I'm in my stop.
- 8:12Speaker 3: It transitions, I am learning to hunker down and move
- 8:20Speaker 3: forward with some things that I know I need to
- 8:22Speaker 3: move forward with deliver the delivery of messages and all
- 8:27Speaker 3: those things, and making better with my relationships and maybe
- 8:30Speaker 3: even cutting off some. So no longer am I procrastinating
- 8:35Speaker 3: on those things. If you saw my posts, I'm taking
- 8:38Speaker 3: off those procrastination penny loafers and I'm putting on my
- 8:44Speaker 3: successful stilettos. We are ready to move on and step
- 8:50Speaker 3: on to different type of ground. So today, Hello, hello, everybody,
- 8:54Speaker 3: come on in. I want to talk to you guys
- 8:56Speaker 3: about some different things. As you know, again, welcome to
- 8:59Speaker 3: back to business. And as you know, my podcast is
- 9:02Speaker 3: called Bad to Business, which stands for the BA d
- 9:05Speaker 3: D is bringing all diverse discussions to business. We all
- 9:10Speaker 3: have different povs and different opinions about things, and it's
- 9:14Speaker 3: really this podcast is about whether we feel different ways
- 9:19Speaker 3: about things. There's probably still a common ground we can
- 9:22Speaker 3: come to to try to make some type of a
- 9:24Speaker 3: positive change, right, if we can just try to get
- 9:27Speaker 3: past all of our different opinions and feelings about some things.
- 9:32Speaker 3: And one thing that I continue to share is don't
- 9:34Speaker 3: let your feelings get in the way of your purpose. Right,
- 9:37Speaker 3: So let's get out of those feelings, okay, And definitely
- 9:44Speaker 3: in this episode, we're gonna get out of those feelings
- 9:46Speaker 3: and talk about some things that we really need to
- 9:48Speaker 3: have at hand. So I welcome everybody in and I
- 9:53Speaker 3: want y'all to hear what we have going on tonight.
- 9:58Speaker 3: So I'm going to revamp and say all of those
- 10:00Speaker 3: who are just now joining in, Hello, Welcome to Bad
- 10:04Speaker 3: to Business. I am your host, Shining Saffron, and I
- 10:07Speaker 3: have a wonderful show for you.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Today.
- 10:11Speaker 3: We do not have our lovely co host, Jazzy, but
- 10:14Speaker 3: she is on a journey and we will be checking
- 10:16Speaker 3: in with her later. But tonight we're going to talk
- 10:19Speaker 3: a little bit about it. And if you followed my
- 10:22Speaker 3: link and all those things that I try to highlight
- 10:25Speaker 3: you guys on and keep you updated on, today we're
- 10:27Speaker 3: going to talk about snapped right by Hunger.
- 10:32Speaker 4: True crime.
- 10:33Speaker 3: I want to kind of talk about and because we
- 10:36Speaker 3: talk about diverse discussions and stuff, The first topic of
- 10:39Speaker 3: conversation is a big one. I've been getting difference of
- 10:41Speaker 3: opinions and diverse discussion about this, and I want to
- 10:45Speaker 3: talk about how this whole thing surrounding the SNAP benefits
- 10:53Speaker 3: and those who are getting them, those who are not,
- 10:56Speaker 3: and what's going on. I kind of want to talk
- 10:58Speaker 3: about that, and I did not want to make it
- 11:00Speaker 3: a whole issue, right, a whole conversation, but to be honest,
- 11:07Speaker 3: I found that there are some main povs that come
- 11:11Speaker 3: from this.
- 11:12Speaker 4: There are some main things that we're not thinking about.
- 11:16Speaker 3: There are people in certain situations that we just don't consider,
- 11:20Speaker 3: and that's what I'm trying to bring to business. Yes,
- 11:22Speaker 3: we all have a difference of opinion, including myself, but
- 11:25Speaker 3: there are some things that we really need to talk
- 11:27Speaker 3: about that are, you know, maybe causing some type of
- 11:32Speaker 3: division in our culture, in our way of loving each
- 11:36Speaker 3: other and our way of supporting each other, that I
- 11:38Speaker 3: think that we really need to talk about. So without
- 11:41Speaker 3: further ado, I am going to start the conversation talking
- 11:45Speaker 3: on these snap benefits. So the three povs that I
- 11:48Speaker 3: want to bring to the table are about now. My
- 11:52Speaker 3: POV is I am a working class who has received
- 11:56Speaker 3: some snap benefits or some type of government aid. I
- 12:01Speaker 3: have a caller who I'm hoping that or I'm sorry,
- 12:04Speaker 3: I had a follower who I'm hoping will be a
- 12:06Speaker 3: caller on tonight and give her POV. She is a
- 12:09Speaker 3: non working class receiving benefits. And then we have the
- 12:14Speaker 3: POV from a working class who does not receive benefits.
- 12:18Speaker 3: So what I've learned in this research is the working
- 12:21Speaker 3: class who is not receiving benefits has a very strong
- 12:25Speaker 3: opinion about anybody else.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Okay, to be honest.
- 12:31Speaker 3: So they feel like they contribute the most and get
- 12:36Speaker 3: the least.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:38Speaker 3: So I'm contributing, I pay my taxes, I do all
- 12:40Speaker 3: these things, and I'm supporting these people who just want
- 12:43Speaker 3: to sit on their butt and do nothing. I'm putting
- 12:46Speaker 3: into a pot that does not give back to me.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Because why when I go to try to apply for benefits,
- 12:53Speaker 3: I'm told I make too much money. I'm told that
- 12:55Speaker 3: I'm not eligible because whatever I don't follow or fall
- 13:00Speaker 3: under a certain bracket.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Okay, cool.
- 13:03Speaker 3: So now not only am I upset that I can't
- 13:07Speaker 3: receive the benefits or reap the seeds that I'm sewing.
- 13:12Speaker 3: If you will but I'm upset that the fact that
- 13:15Speaker 3: I have to forcibly contribute to a pot that helps
- 13:21Speaker 3: other people, right, and the research and discussion that I've
- 13:29Speaker 3: become a part of.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I have to say, and I did insert myself in
- 13:32Speaker 4: this because it's just something.
- 13:33Speaker 3: That I believe worth talking about, is that that working
- 13:40Speaker 3: class feels like, you know, I contribute to a pot
- 13:44Speaker 3: of people that have these needs and they soak it
- 13:49Speaker 3: all up. They don't really have the needs. They could
- 13:52Speaker 3: really get out here and do what I'm doing. And
- 13:55Speaker 3: I contribute to a pot that have these needs and
- 13:58Speaker 3: they waste them.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Right. They're not doing what they're supposed to do with them.
- 14:02Speaker 4: They're not.
- 14:05Speaker 3: You know, they're just not doing what they're supposed to do.
- 14:07Speaker 3: They're wasting them. In some instances back in the day,
- 14:12Speaker 3: a couple of you may know of people who were
- 14:15Speaker 3: flipping foods that benefits, which means that they were you know,
- 14:21Speaker 3: getting benefits, but they were selling them.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Right.
- 14:24Speaker 3: So whatever the case, maybe I won't get into all
- 14:27Speaker 3: the nitty gritty and all the you know things I
- 14:31Speaker 3: know about it, because whatever, however you make your business,
- 14:33Speaker 3: is how you make your business.
- 14:35Speaker 4: But they weren't using it for what they were supposed
- 14:39Speaker 4: to do.
- 14:39Speaker 3: And so the working class who contributed to the pot
- 14:42Speaker 3: and didn't get any of it, didn't get any.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Benefits of it felt some type of way.
- 14:46Speaker 3: You're doing all this and you're still sitting at home,
- 14:48Speaker 3: not doing anything you're supposed to do, get your hair,
- 14:50Speaker 3: your nails done, and you talk about it, and it
- 14:52Speaker 3: did happen like that for some folks. In the instance
- 14:55Speaker 3: I'm talking about, you got people the working class who's
- 14:58Speaker 3: contributing to a pot, folks who.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Are not doing anything.
- 15:02Speaker 3: And if you follow the last if you follow the podcast,
- 15:05Speaker 3: you heard the last episode excuse me, where we talked
- 15:09Speaker 3: about the patient procrastinator who just sits around and kind
- 15:13Speaker 3: of figures out what they need to do and what
- 15:15Speaker 3: they want to do, and they kind of sent around
- 15:17Speaker 3: and do they can kind of sit around and do that.
- 15:19Speaker 3: So you got the working class who shows up. And
- 15:23Speaker 3: I thought about this one day and I said, you know,
- 15:25Speaker 3: you'll give money. Now this is my POV. I am
- 15:28Speaker 3: the working class receiving benefits when I need them. As
- 15:35Speaker 3: of this point, I do not own rights to food
- 15:38Speaker 3: stamp benefits.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Let me go ahead and say that, but so I
- 15:42Speaker 4: get it.
- 15:42Speaker 3: You are contributing to a working class who's not doing
- 15:46Speaker 3: their part. And yet you you know, you don't receive
- 15:51Speaker 3: any benefits off of that. You know that this working
- 15:55Speaker 3: class is sitting around they gloat about how they are
- 16:00Speaker 3: not doing anything.
- 16:01Speaker 4: They made TikTok be real.
- 16:05Speaker 3: They made TikTok by being at home, not doing anything,
- 16:08Speaker 3: making jokes and making videos about I ain't got no
- 16:11Speaker 3: job and I'm sitting at home collecting this money. Now,
- 16:14Speaker 3: those are the same people that are collecting money and
- 16:16Speaker 3: benefits off of working class people.
- 16:19Speaker 4: And I'm sorry.
- 16:20Speaker 3: The statement I was trying to get to is I
- 16:22Speaker 3: made the statement that you'll give more money to people
- 16:25Speaker 3: who sit and play with money, then you'll give to
- 16:29Speaker 3: people who will stand and work for it. Now that's
- 16:34Speaker 3: just my POV now talking to another follower. And like
- 16:41Speaker 3: I've told y'all, this podcast is about bringing all diverse
- 16:44Speaker 3: discussions to business. You have a chance here when you
- 16:49Speaker 3: talk in the comments and you you know, participate and
- 16:53Speaker 3: you call in or whatever to either change your point
- 16:57Speaker 3: of view or change mind. I feel most I'm feeling
- 17:00Speaker 3: very strongly about what I believe in and what I've
- 17:02Speaker 3: done research in right so, but talking to this follower
- 17:07Speaker 3: and what she brought to the table.
- 17:09Speaker 4: She is the non working class receiving benefits.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And you know, like I said, I really hope she
- 17:19Speaker 3: calls in, but if not, I know how she feels.
- 17:21Speaker 3: We've talked enough about it to the point where I
- 17:25Speaker 3: will give her POV. And I feel like it's a
- 17:28Speaker 3: great one, because yes, I stand strongly in how I feel.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I stand strongly in how I work for, what I
- 17:33Speaker 3: work for, all those things, and then when I go
- 17:35Speaker 3: to the grocery store, I don't get the things that
- 17:39Speaker 3: I want to get. I don't get the things that
- 17:41Speaker 3: I work for for even the smallest and the simplest
- 17:44Speaker 3: things that I may want to purchase. The stores are
- 17:48Speaker 3: cleaned out, and I think that that's where a lot
- 17:51Speaker 3: of us get really touchy feely when the stores are ransack.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Read right, they've been ransacked and run through, and we
- 18:00Speaker 3: feel like, yeah, those that's the people who didn't work
- 18:04Speaker 3: for anything, get to just ransack the grocery stores.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Cool.
- 18:09Speaker 3: So I stayed on that too, But I since I
- 18:13Speaker 3: cannot stand necessarily just with the people who the working
- 18:19Speaker 3: class that did not receive any benefits but paid into
- 18:23Speaker 3: the pot, I can't just stand with them because I
- 18:26Speaker 3: at a point, was at a time where I was
- 18:28Speaker 3: pregnant with a child and working, but I needed help,
- 18:33Speaker 3: and I went to receive some benefits or I went
- 18:36Speaker 3: to seek aid for at least, can.
- 18:37Speaker 4: You help me feed my kids? And I'm working.
- 18:40Speaker 3: So before anybody wants to take a judgment on you,
- 18:42Speaker 3: just tried to get what you could get.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Blah blah blah.
- 18:45Speaker 3: I was still putting in the pot when I asked
- 18:47Speaker 3: to receive something from the pot.
- 18:49Speaker 4: And when I asked to receive something from the pot at.
- 18:51Speaker 3: That time, I was giving four I was given fourteen
- 18:55Speaker 3: dollars in food stamps, pregnant with a two year old,
- 19:07Speaker 3: and have put money in the pot. I think, matter
- 19:09Speaker 3: of fact, let me, let me be all the way truthful.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I think at that time I had been let go wrongfully,
- 19:15Speaker 3: let go from a job, and I was applying for
- 19:18Speaker 3: food stamps. But I had never applied for unemployment in
- 19:22Speaker 3: my life. And just to not take y'all through the
- 19:25Speaker 3: whole synopsis, it was more so of I had just
- 19:29Speaker 3: lost my job and was like, what do I do.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Gotta feed my daughter and then I'll try to get
- 19:34Speaker 3: another job. And I applied for food stamps and was
- 19:36Speaker 3: given fourteen dollars, in which I called that man back,
- 19:39Speaker 3: my representative, and I told him, you can go ahead
- 19:42Speaker 3: and take this fourteen dollars. And I believe I said
- 19:46Speaker 3: the nice words of keep it. If I said anything else,
- 19:50Speaker 3: it's not your business, so I probably shouldn't said it,
- 19:52Speaker 3: but I said you can go ahead and keep it,
- 19:54Speaker 3: because at fourteen dollars that you gave me while I'm
- 19:57Speaker 3: pregnant with a child and no job, that'll probably be
- 20:03Speaker 3: the money I spend, or the gas money I spend
- 20:05Speaker 3: and even go get the food.
- 20:06Speaker 4: So I'm really not even getting your assistance. So I
- 20:14Speaker 4: stand in that class of.
- 20:17Speaker 3: I pay to a pot that I couldn't even benefit from, right,
- 20:23Speaker 3: So that's why I stand on my standce of oh
- 20:25Speaker 3: I pay to a pot. Y'all sit back, get your
- 20:27Speaker 3: hair done, your nails done, You make TikTok videos and
- 20:30Speaker 3: you know you ain't got nothing to do, and you
- 20:33Speaker 3: wave it in my face that the pot that I'm
- 20:36Speaker 3: paying into is providing you this lifestyle. So what I'm
- 20:42Speaker 3: bringing to you today, though, is I talk to a
- 20:45Speaker 3: viewer who told me that not even a viewer, I'm sorry,
- 20:51Speaker 3: a follower somebody who follows the podcast and kind of
- 20:54Speaker 3: talk to me about it. I see that you get
- 20:56Speaker 3: really strong about your povs, and I just want you
- 20:58Speaker 3: to know that in this particular one, and I kind
- 21:01Speaker 3: of sent it out. If you didn't get it, you
- 21:03Speaker 3: probably wasn't paying attention. But that's okay.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Follow more.
- 21:06Speaker 3: You'll get more insight on how you can be a
- 21:08Speaker 3: part of the conversation. But I sent it out and said, look,
- 21:12Speaker 3: this is what I'm about to talk about, and I
- 21:13Speaker 3: need some different povs.
- 21:14Speaker 4: This is my pov where I stand.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I've gotten some povs from people of working class who
- 21:20Speaker 3: don't get the benefits, and they tire of y'all.
- 21:22Speaker 4: I said it.
- 21:23Speaker 3: And then so I need some of y'all to come
- 21:27Speaker 3: to me and tell me how you feel. I know
- 21:30Speaker 3: some people who did receive benefits. So this particular viewer
- 21:35Speaker 3: came to me and she wrote in my she wrote
- 21:41Speaker 3: in my inbox, and I don't know if she'll be
- 21:45Speaker 3: able to tap in today. She was going to go
- 21:46Speaker 3: ahead and call in, which would have been a great
- 21:48Speaker 3: way to show you guys, how calling into the dm
- 21:52Speaker 3: pot or the podcast hotline kind of plays into the show.
- 21:58Speaker 3: But we will move on because I've learned resilience with
- 22:01Speaker 3: this wonderful crew podcast. She did express to me how
- 22:06Speaker 3: she feels, and one of the things she said is
- 22:09Speaker 3: that Shining people feel like it's so easy for me
- 22:13Speaker 3: to take benefits and just receive these benefits and all
- 22:16Speaker 3: these things, and what they don't realize is, for one,
- 22:21Speaker 3: I don't even get the type of benefits that And
- 22:24Speaker 3: at this point, she has a two year old daughter
- 22:28Speaker 3: going on three, and she said, what they don't realize
- 22:31Speaker 3: is I've tried to look for a job. I've tried
- 22:33Speaker 3: to look for jobs that aren't hiring, and of course
- 22:36Speaker 3: I'm going after jobs that have enough money to pay
- 22:39Speaker 3: for the resources I need, because I don't want to
- 22:41Speaker 3: go after a job that doesn't and I'm still relying
- 22:43Speaker 3: on assistance.
- 22:45Speaker 4: So I go after the jobs.
- 22:47Speaker 3: And I've taken the training and I've got the qualifications,
- 22:50Speaker 3: and I go after those jobs that say they're hiring
- 22:53Speaker 3: but aren't. And we've all experienced that they say they're hiring,
- 22:57Speaker 3: but they're not, or they just don't hire you.
- 23:00Speaker 4: She said, I don't have a car, so of course.
- 23:04Speaker 3: It's hard to try to get a job that even
- 23:07Speaker 3: if I have some money in my account from whatever
- 23:09Speaker 3: assistance or maybe the father that's helping me or whatever.
- 23:13Speaker 3: I don't have that resource to get a car to
- 23:16Speaker 3: even be more diligent in finding that said job. Okay,
- 23:20Speaker 3: so I don't have a job, I don't have a car,
- 23:23Speaker 3: doesn't mean I'm not looking for a job and I'm
- 23:25Speaker 3: not looking for resources to get a car. Plus, I
- 23:27Speaker 3: have a two year old daughter who's not yet ready
- 23:29Speaker 3: to go to school, so I'm still teaching her as
- 23:31Speaker 3: a mom. And one thing that she explained to me,
- 23:34Speaker 3: and it's funny, I want everyone to think about this
- 23:37Speaker 3: at some point in your life, even when you get
- 23:40Speaker 3: to a point where you might be at home and
- 23:42Speaker 3: you might.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Have to sit it out, wait it out.
- 23:45Speaker 3: One thing that she's expressed to me, and I never
- 23:48Speaker 3: really thought about, is she says, see, when the working
- 23:51Speaker 3: class goes to work, you go to work and you're
- 23:54Speaker 3: paid to do one job.
- 23:57Speaker 4: One job, whether that be now.
- 23:59Speaker 3: That could consist of Now, I have been an export
- 24:03Speaker 3: agent where I have to my one job that I go.
- 24:06Speaker 3: I clock in as an import agent, right, and I
- 24:09Speaker 3: make these calls and I make these connections, and I
- 24:12Speaker 3: import the freight and I move it to where it
- 24:13Speaker 3: needs to be moved to.
- 24:14Speaker 4: And that's my job, and that's what I get paid for.
- 24:18Speaker 3: But that's the one job. It's consistent. One thing she
- 24:24Speaker 3: expressed to me is being in at home mom. I
- 24:28Speaker 3: do multiple jobs, and we have seen means and we
- 24:30Speaker 3: have come to different things about how moms have to
- 24:34Speaker 3: be doctors, and they have to be lawyers at some times,
- 24:37Speaker 3: and they have to be whatever the household or.
- 24:40Speaker 4: That particular situation calls for.
- 24:42Speaker 3: So we're talking about even a working class mom who
- 24:45Speaker 3: had to go to work, spend eight hours on a
- 24:47Speaker 3: job doing what they wanted me to do, and come
- 24:49Speaker 3: home and do the fifty.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Jobs that home requires me to do. And she expressed
- 24:55Speaker 4: to me, while.
- 24:57Speaker 3: People may think that I'm sitting at home and I
- 24:59Speaker 3: don't have I have nothing to do.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I'm just sitting at home.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I am not that class of people that just gets
- 25:04Speaker 3: on TikTok talking about I don't have nothing to do.
- 25:07Speaker 3: I am looking for jobs, I'm looking for resources. I'm
- 25:10Speaker 3: teaching my daughter every day so that she can go
- 25:12Speaker 3: to school and out of the house so that I
- 25:15Speaker 3: can do these other things. I'm doing that, but unfortunately
- 25:19Speaker 3: she still gets the rap of the person that is
- 25:23Speaker 3: not doing anything, she still gets the rap of somebody
- 25:27Speaker 3: who's sitting back and accepting benefits. And what I learned
- 25:32Speaker 3: is that's not fair.
- 25:35Speaker 4: It's not fair.
- 25:36Speaker 3: She's sitting back, maybe not sitting back. Let me change that.
- 25:39Speaker 3: She is at home doing fifty jobs for her daughter
- 25:45Speaker 3: or the rest of her children, or whatever she's got
- 25:47Speaker 3: to do for her situation. She is doing fifty jobs
- 25:50Speaker 3: trying to connect this and connect that and get everything
- 25:53Speaker 3: to connect to make something happen for herself, while we
- 25:58Speaker 3: are going to.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Work doing one job.
- 26:00Speaker 3: What it comes down to is that they're just different
- 26:03Speaker 3: situations in different scenarios. She is from the POV of
- 26:07Speaker 3: somebody who is trying to make something happen. I am
- 26:09Speaker 3: from the POV who's somewhat making something happen and still
- 26:13Speaker 3: needing help. And then you got the POV from people
- 26:15Speaker 3: who claim or feel like they make everything happen. And
- 26:18Speaker 3: that's not even the case in any of our scenarios.
- 26:21Speaker 3: This is where we got to bring this to business.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Bring this to business. So what I found is that
- 26:27Speaker 3: this okay. We all feel that it's unfair that we
- 26:31Speaker 3: put into a pot that we can't pull out of.
- 26:33Speaker 3: And one thing that I've stood on and I said
- 26:36Speaker 3: to a couple of coworkers, is you know, you got
- 26:39Speaker 3: to make deposits to make withdraws. So here's the unfair
- 26:43Speaker 3: part America, that we have made deposits in stuff that
- 26:47Speaker 3: we are not allowed to make withdraws from, or that
- 26:50Speaker 3: we do not withdraw from and get benefits from.
- 26:53Speaker 4: So let's stop.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Being mad at mothers who are actually trying or families
- 26:58Speaker 3: who are actually trying.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Let's see a need, feel a need.
- 27:01Speaker 3: But at the same time I get it, are they
- 27:04Speaker 3: are connected to people who take advantage of the system.
- 27:07Speaker 4: You can't tell the difference.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Apparently neither can I, because I'm putting the same mother
- 27:14Speaker 3: who's trying in the same pot as a mother who's not,
- 27:18Speaker 3: And that's not fair.
- 27:20Speaker 4: You're also putting the same mother who gives into.
- 27:23Speaker 3: The pot and only gives gets fourteen dollars worth of
- 27:26Speaker 3: food stamps to feed two children, one coming, one on
- 27:31Speaker 3: the way, and one already here. You're putting me in
- 27:34Speaker 3: the same pot as somebody who's not doing anything. So
- 27:38Speaker 3: when it comes to these snap benefits and you get
- 27:40Speaker 3: all angry and you want to rah ray the one
- 27:43Speaker 3: who is able to lead and not read. Is allowed
- 27:51Speaker 3: to lead and not read. When you want to rah
- 27:54Speaker 3: rah him and talk about what he's doing. Yes, he's
- 27:57Speaker 3: making some financial move that could benefit That's the best
- 28:03Speaker 3: I can say. You see all my movement to have
- 28:07Speaker 3: to get that message out.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Cool.
- 28:08Speaker 3: So while we're condoning what he's doing, there's still something
- 28:12Speaker 3: else you need to think about.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Your parents did it.
- 28:16Speaker 3: There are some things and situations that our parents and
- 28:19Speaker 3: families have had to go through when they needed help.
- 28:22Speaker 3: The stuff is not enough, The stuff they give is
- 28:27Speaker 3: not enough.
- 28:28Speaker 4: And where you want to say, well.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Work harder for it and do what you're supposed to
- 28:31Speaker 3: do for it, it doesn't matter for other people who I
- 28:35Speaker 3: have a two year old at home and I'm trying
- 28:37Speaker 3: to teach her enough to go to school because you know,
- 28:39Speaker 3: they charge extra for kids who go to school that
- 28:41Speaker 3: are not potty trained, don't know their name and cannot
- 28:44Speaker 3: know their don't know their colors, can't name their colors.
- 28:47Speaker 3: So while I'm trying to teach my daughter that every
- 28:49Speaker 3: minute of the day, I'm also looking for jobs that
- 28:53Speaker 3: are close. Because I don't have a car, I'm looking
- 28:56Speaker 3: for resources where I can get a car with a
- 28:59Speaker 3: little bit of assistance I'm getting while I'm pressing the
- 29:02Speaker 3: system to give me some assistance.
- 29:05Speaker 4: So that's where it starts. Stop judging people on what
- 29:08Speaker 4: they need.
- 29:10Speaker 3: It's a process, and everybody started with something that they
- 29:15Speaker 3: needed to have that they didn't have, and somehow they
- 29:19Speaker 3: had to find a resource to get it to get
- 29:22Speaker 3: to the destination. Stop being that on people, And that's
- 29:27Speaker 3: what I'm just trying to get out to people that
- 29:30Speaker 3: even it had to change my POV to listen to
- 29:33Speaker 3: somebody to tell me that I'm not who you think
- 29:36Speaker 3: I am, even though I have a different POV from
- 29:40Speaker 3: the working class that gets no benefits. She has a
- 29:46Speaker 3: different POV and change my point of view of well,
- 29:50Speaker 3: I look down on people who did need them and
- 29:53Speaker 3: not trying.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Yeah, she said, And you can think that of other people.
- 29:57Speaker 3: And that's fine when you see they're not trying, and
- 29:59Speaker 3: they show up on your pictock and they ain't doing
- 30:01Speaker 3: nothing but showing.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Body parts, thank you Lord for better words.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Where they ain't showing nothing but excuse me, body parts
- 30:11Speaker 3: and only fan pages to get money. Where I'm diligently
- 30:17Speaker 3: looking for a job, I'm not on social media. I
- 30:21Speaker 3: may show a picture too. She says, I may get
- 30:25Speaker 3: dressed to feel better about myself, to show my daughter
- 30:30Speaker 3: that even when you're down, you can be up. I
- 30:33Speaker 3: may do that, But what I don't appreciate is people
- 30:37Speaker 3: like you or anybody else that talks down about people
- 30:40Speaker 3: who are receiving or trying to receive benefits and not
- 30:43Speaker 3: having a job. Because all y'all think about is I
- 30:45Speaker 3: don't have a job, but I'm trying to get benefits.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Do you know the struggle I go through to try
- 30:50Speaker 4: to be better? No, we don't.
- 30:53Speaker 3: We don't ask because most of us we don't know.
- 30:57Speaker 3: We don't show them, we don't care about what's going
- 30:59Speaker 3: on in the hood. Stop doing this to people. You
- 31:05Speaker 3: have a negative opinion, keep it to yourself. But what
- 31:08Speaker 3: you don't need to do is be workers of iniquity
- 31:10Speaker 3: where you get other people on your bandwagon about how
- 31:13Speaker 3: you feel about something that's not right. And again, this
- 31:17Speaker 3: is what my podcast is about, bringing all diverse discussions
- 31:21Speaker 3: to business. Yes, I have my own point of view
- 31:23Speaker 3: and I somewhat agree with the people the working class
- 31:27Speaker 3: who is not able to go to the grocery store
- 31:30Speaker 3: and get what they want. But as talking to this follower,
- 31:33Speaker 3: and this diverse discussion I was in, I learned that
- 31:38Speaker 3: guess what, No, I may not be able to go
- 31:41Speaker 3: on the first, or on the fifth, or even able
- 31:44Speaker 3: to go on the tenth and get what it is
- 31:47Speaker 3: I want and I worked hard for, but I could
- 31:51Speaker 3: probably go on the twelfth. See, we gotta put these
- 31:53Speaker 3: stores in demand. You are feeling the demand of people
- 31:55Speaker 3: who are ransackering your stores, What about the people who
- 32:00Speaker 3: are paying?
- 32:00Speaker 4: So feel it if that's the case.
- 32:03Speaker 3: But with that being said, those people who are receiving
- 32:06Speaker 3: benefits receive them once a month. Some of y'a are
- 32:09Speaker 3: getting paid twice a month or every week. They have
- 32:15Speaker 3: to wait on their benefits. We don't wait on our blessings.
- 32:19Speaker 3: So while you're being so mad about people who sit back,
- 32:22Speaker 3: even those who are sitting back waiting and they think
- 32:24Speaker 3: they cute, here's the way to not.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Get so mad.
- 32:29Speaker 3: You waiting on my money whereas I make it and
- 32:32Speaker 3: I can pull from it. Some of y'all got daily pay.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Stop planning. Some of y'all got daily pay. Go pull
- 32:38Speaker 3: your money out and go do what you need to do,
- 32:40Speaker 3: as long as God keeps you from drowning. With that saying, say,
- 32:45Speaker 3: as long as God don't cancel me, I'll be all right.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Worry about you not being canceled. Worry about that your
- 32:54Speaker 3: household is being okay and everything is good for the
- 32:58Speaker 3: time being. Don't worry worry about how somebody else is
- 33:01Speaker 3: taking from your household, because if you look back, they
- 33:04Speaker 3: really not. It's not happening like that. So as far
- 33:10Speaker 3: as the SNAP benefits, and I told you I like
- 33:12Speaker 3: to talk about different things, I was really passionate about
- 33:15Speaker 3: that because I had a very passionate conversation with somebody
- 33:18Speaker 3: who had a different POV from mine. And one thing
- 33:22Speaker 3: I tell people is I can agree with you wholeheartedly,
- 33:26Speaker 3: and then I will step outside of the box because
- 33:30Speaker 3: I want to see that if I could agree with you,
- 33:32Speaker 3: but if somebody has a different POV from me, how
- 33:35Speaker 3: do I handle that.
- 33:36Speaker 4: I can't just stand in what I say and.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Be so strongly about that that I don't give them
- 33:41Speaker 3: the chance of saying what they need to say, or
- 33:43Speaker 3: give them a chance to express their self.
- 33:46Speaker 4: So I've learned that.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Even in my POV, as strongly as I believe in
- 33:49Speaker 3: it and I agree with it, and if somebody even
- 33:52Speaker 3: agrees with me, cool, But let me step outside, because
- 33:55Speaker 3: what if somebody approaches either one of us differently? Hey,
- 34:00Speaker 3: what about this? And have you ever thought about that?
- 34:01Speaker 3: And I can't just stand and nine. I ain't think
- 34:03Speaker 3: about that. Nope, that's not what's going on. I thought
- 34:07Speaker 3: about this. This is the way things should go, you know. Uh,
- 34:10Speaker 3: I guess that's how presidency is run. I didn't think
- 34:13Speaker 3: about this and how things should go. I didn't think
- 34:15Speaker 3: about consideracy of people. I'm thinking about how I will
- 34:19Speaker 3: feel good and sleep at night.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Cool, cool, cool cool.
- 34:25Speaker 3: If you lived in a world by yourself, that might work,
- 34:29Speaker 3: but that's not how we go.
- 34:31Speaker 4: We live with other people.
- 34:32Speaker 3: So I'm just saying, before you judge, just get a
- 34:35Speaker 3: different POV before you just feel like you are the
- 34:39Speaker 3: victim of I make all this money and I give
- 34:42Speaker 3: all this money to the pot and y'all just sitting back,
- 34:45Speaker 3: you lazy.
- 34:46Speaker 4: That.
- 34:46Speaker 3: And the third, there are women, men situations that people
- 34:52Speaker 3: are actually reaching out for resources and they just don't
- 34:56Speaker 3: have them. They've tried, and you know, I feel me
- 35:01Speaker 3: coming up short on time.
- 35:02Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 35:02Speaker 3: I mean to take up all y'all's time, But with
- 35:04Speaker 3: that being said, I want to kind of highlight one
- 35:08Speaker 3: of my friends who is doing something for this cause.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Her name is Keisha.
- 35:15Speaker 3: I will be sharing a lot of what she does
- 35:17Speaker 3: and how she does it for her community. But she
- 35:21Speaker 3: is putting on things that where she feeds family, and
- 35:26Speaker 3: she feeds the homeless, and she feeds different She feeds
- 35:30Speaker 3: different situations where there are insecurities, inequities, in equity, excuse me,
- 35:38Speaker 3: and she just makes sure that things get done for
- 35:43Speaker 3: the community and nobody's left out. So one thing that
- 35:47Speaker 3: I wanted to highlight tonight is her group called Inspire
- 35:51Speaker 3: and it's Inspired Together.
- 35:52Speaker 4: It's in Riverside, California.
- 35:54Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Sam Bernardino, California, but she represents Riverside and
- 35:58Speaker 3: she is putting things together where she is getting giving
- 36:02Speaker 3: away food, shower access, clothing, laundry access, nail services, nail
- 36:12Speaker 3: services okay sis, hygiene kits aren't stationary, and more. And
- 36:19Speaker 3: she puts these things together where you can come out
- 36:21Speaker 3: and you can benefit from it, your famili's friends and everything.
- 36:24Speaker 3: She's one thing, she says, it's not one of those
- 36:27Speaker 3: first come, first.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Serve, We're limited to.
- 36:29Speaker 3: One thing I know about her is if she runs
- 36:31Speaker 3: out of supply, she'll go and get more.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Yes, please those who need it.
- 36:37Speaker 3: So we have Keisha who's doing Inspire together in San Bernardino, California.
- 36:42Speaker 3: If y'all need some stuff. One thing, like I said
- 36:44Speaker 3: about Sis is if you ain't got it, she'll get it.
- 36:46Speaker 3: If she don't already have it, she'll get it. And
- 36:48Speaker 3: that's what we need people like that. I live in
- 36:52Speaker 3: the city of Atlanta, where our mayor has just announced
- 36:57Speaker 3: that he's not going to kick anybody out. He's not
- 37:01Speaker 3: going to allow anybody to get kicked out in the
- 37:04Speaker 3: month of December and January, even if you fall behind
- 37:08Speaker 3: in bills because you know what's going on with the
- 37:09Speaker 3: whole government shut down.
- 37:10Speaker 4: Nobody's getting their bills paid, stuff like that, and.
- 37:13Speaker 3: He's doing things of that sort and making sure that
- 37:16Speaker 3: people are going with versus without getting your money up,
- 37:20Speaker 3: because we're already taking things before you get it. Let's
- 37:23Speaker 3: be real, So getting your money up. Then we got
- 37:26Speaker 3: the city or the County of South Fulton itself, who
- 37:28Speaker 3: is also doing things like my friend Lakeisha giving away
- 37:32Speaker 3: free stuff. And you know you have your churches and
- 37:36Speaker 3: your food banks. I encourage everybody to not feel like
- 37:40Speaker 3: you are above or even beneath but you are equal
- 37:45Speaker 3: to these opportunities that our culture is serving. We are
- 37:49Speaker 3: here to feed and feed other We are here to
- 37:51Speaker 3: be fed and feed other people, is what the word says.
- 37:54Speaker 3: So do not miss up on these opportunities where we
- 37:57Speaker 3: are actually giving back.
- 38:00Speaker 4: We should. This is what we should be doing.
- 38:03Speaker 3: So South Fullton, I salute you for doing the things
- 38:06Speaker 3: all d the I don't know if any of y'all
- 38:08Speaker 3: have all d like some of y'all don't have h
- 38:10Speaker 3: martin You've really got to follow up on these stores.
- 38:12Speaker 3: But because h Mark got some stuff, but all these
- 38:15Speaker 3: is actually lowering their prices for the season past January
- 38:20Speaker 3: so that families can afford groceries and stuff like that.
- 38:23Speaker 3: This is where we have given so much and paid
- 38:25Speaker 3: so much taxes.
- 38:26Speaker 4: What are y'all giving back?
- 38:27Speaker 3: So if you have grocery stores that's not doing that,
- 38:30Speaker 3: maybe those aren't the.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Grocery stores you should be shopping.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Being real, If Walmart ain't lowering their prices and making
- 38:36Speaker 3: it a priority together that they do, then maybe not
- 38:39Speaker 3: shot there. And I'm not finna tell y'all where to
- 38:41Speaker 3: spend your money because I am a tight consumer, right,
- 38:45Speaker 3: I have a time. I have a price limit on
- 38:47Speaker 3: what I spend on shoes. I have a price limit
- 38:49Speaker 3: on what I spent. Man.
- 38:51Speaker 4: When I go to websites, the first thing I hit
- 38:52Speaker 4: is clearance and sale. It's just what I do.
- 38:57Speaker 3: So with that being said, though, there are better ways
- 39:01Speaker 3: to stretch your money, and yes, it is hard, even
- 39:04Speaker 3: with talking to the follower about how to stretch even
- 39:08Speaker 3: the little money she gets. Now, when I got fourteen dollars,
- 39:11Speaker 3: I could not stretch fourteen dollars.
- 39:13Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie to you. I just couldn't.
- 39:14Speaker 3: I couldn't even see myself stressing to stretch it. But
- 39:19Speaker 3: for those of y'all that are getting more than that,
- 39:22Speaker 3: one of the things I told her is what might
- 39:24Speaker 3: be fair?
- 39:24Speaker 4: Let me bring this to a closing too.
- 39:26Speaker 3: The resolution that might be fair is you might have
- 39:29Speaker 3: to take from the families that are getting nine hundred
- 39:31Speaker 3: dollars a month because they don't need it right, because
- 39:34Speaker 3: they might be flipping or whatever. I don't know since
- 39:36Speaker 3: this knows how to keep status of these people, but
- 39:40Speaker 3: you may have to pull from that family that's getting
- 39:42Speaker 3: nine hundred a month to provide another family with one
- 39:46Speaker 3: hundred dollars a month. Maybe the government needs to go
- 39:50Speaker 3: ahead and provide everybody of food allowance a month.
- 39:53Speaker 4: That's where we get angry.
- 39:54Speaker 3: How dare you provide so and so with nine hundred
- 39:58Speaker 3: a month? That doesn't work, and you got the working
- 40:01Speaker 3: class that gets fourteen dollars. This is where I and
- 40:05Speaker 3: anybody else get angry. And we're not gonna do that.
- 40:09Speaker 3: We're not gonna get angry, but we are gonna think
- 40:11Speaker 3: about a resolution. So this is what it comes to.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Can we somehow get the government to give everybody an
- 40:18Speaker 3: allowance a month? If you can give again, you give
- 40:25Speaker 3: people money to play with instead of money who to
- 40:29Speaker 3: people who work for it. Maybe we lessen and you
- 40:35Speaker 3: tell them I'm gonna have to lessen your grocery allowance
- 40:40Speaker 3: this month. This is what we're doing, not even this month.
- 40:42Speaker 3: But you've been you've been receiving nine hundred. You're not
- 40:47Speaker 3: gonna get that. We're gonna lower that down to six hundred.
- 40:50Speaker 3: Well that's three hundred you done took from that family,
- 40:53Speaker 3: which I feel like, I mean, they may be able
- 40:57Speaker 3: to work with six hundred if you call yourself letting
- 40:59Speaker 3: me work with fourteen dollars, But that's three families at
- 41:04Speaker 3: one hundred dollars apiece that you've given that allowance to
- 41:08Speaker 3: three hundred three families at one hundred dollars a piece.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Come on, government, you can do better. Stop making us
- 41:16Speaker 3: so angry at each other when you could do better.
- 41:19Speaker 3: It ain't just about slicing the families that need it.
- 41:21Speaker 3: It's about having them understand that we are needing to
- 41:25Speaker 3: share it with other families that need it to so
- 41:28Speaker 3: that we're not so angry with them.
- 41:30Speaker 4: So let's slice that up right. I'm gonna keep stuff moving.
- 41:33Speaker 3: So, yes, I did want to talk to you about
- 41:35Speaker 3: those different point of vison and the snaps by hunger
- 41:38Speaker 3: and why we need to come to a actual mutual
- 41:42Speaker 3: agreement bring this to the business tape. Well, it's not
- 41:44Speaker 3: about those receiving benefits that we're mad about. We're really
- 41:47Speaker 3: mad about the government giving it to them so free willing,
- 41:50Speaker 3: and not allowing the people who actually work for it
- 41:52Speaker 3: to get any of it. So the median or the
- 41:58Speaker 3: common ground bringing all diverse discussion to the business table
- 42:03Speaker 3: is about not about the people who are receiving it
- 42:07Speaker 3: again getting it from somebody the government. It's about how
- 42:10Speaker 3: the government or give it to them and not to
- 42:12Speaker 3: anybody else putting in the pot. Why is it that
- 42:14Speaker 3: the people putting in the pot don't get to pull
- 42:16Speaker 3: from it. I'm a big believer about if you deposit,
- 42:20Speaker 3: you should be able to withdraw.
- 42:21Speaker 4: So talk to your local officials about that.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Okay, moving on, while we're talking about and I'm gonna
- 42:27Speaker 3: get this up ooh, cutting into time. Y'all know, I
- 42:29Speaker 3: get real passionate about stuff. So while we're talking about snapped,
- 42:34Speaker 3: I just want to talk to you all about this
- 42:36Speaker 3: stuff going viral. Okay, this some of these kids have
- 42:40Speaker 3: snapped while they want to snap and jump on parents
- 42:43Speaker 3: and stuff, while they trying to beat kids up at
- 42:45Speaker 3: the bus stop and all this other stuff. Right, everybody's
- 42:47Speaker 3: been seeing it. If you haven't seen it, you probably
- 42:49Speaker 3: haven't been watching. If you haven't been watching, still salute
- 42:51Speaker 3: to you, because you don't know, you've been missing some
- 42:53Speaker 3: stuff that probably ain't gonna make you feel real well. So,
- 42:56Speaker 3: in the last two weeks I have watched and witnessed
- 42:59Speaker 3: a group of kids jump on a mother and child
- 43:04Speaker 3: or a mother and children at a bus stop or
- 43:07Speaker 3: at some type of rent stop waiting on a bus,
- 43:09Speaker 3: whatever the case may be.
- 43:10Speaker 4: And these children have snapped and jumped.
- 43:13Speaker 3: On these elders as well as their children that they're protecting.
- 43:18Speaker 3: I'm gonna talk real briefly about this because I really
- 43:20Speaker 3: don't want to talk about it, but I really got
- 43:22Speaker 3: a while we're talking on the issue of being snapped
- 43:25Speaker 3: into reality. I've read a lot of comments, and now
- 43:28Speaker 3: it's getting to the point where there are adults that
- 43:31Speaker 3: are saying, please, children, if you're reading this, please don't
- 43:35Speaker 3: jump on my kids, because like it's gonna get so ugly.
- 43:39Speaker 3: It'll get so ugly. The video I saw in the
- 43:43Speaker 3: last twenty four hours about the mother who showed up
- 43:46Speaker 3: at the bus stop for her daughter and they jumped
- 43:50Speaker 3: on her. Last week it was the mother and her
- 43:52Speaker 3: two kids. Y'all saw that stuff. This week, it was
- 43:56Speaker 3: a mother who showed up at the bus stop knowing
- 43:58Speaker 3: her daughter was finna get jump and she stood there
- 44:01Speaker 3: and one of the kids said, what you mean I
- 44:03Speaker 3: showed up for nothing? And she said, yes, you did.
- 44:07Speaker 3: You need to go on home, told her daughter get
- 44:09Speaker 3: in the car. If you ain't seeing it listening to
- 44:12Speaker 3: what I'm saying, you know the algorithms to pick it up.
- 44:15Speaker 4: But what I'm saying.
- 44:17Speaker 3: About this is while y'all kids are snapped and don't
- 44:20Speaker 3: understand that adults have a responsibility to their children because
- 44:24Speaker 3: you videotaping it and want to go live and want
- 44:27Speaker 3: to go viral and be just somebody who is hypening
- 44:32Speaker 3: and videotaping.
- 44:34Speaker 4: What the heck is going on? You got real people
- 44:36Speaker 4: with real situations. I don't lost my mama and my daddy.
- 44:39Speaker 3: You think I'm getting ready to lose my kids, and
- 44:42Speaker 3: I just lost both of them in the past five years.
- 44:44Speaker 3: I lost my mama and my daddy in the past
- 44:46Speaker 3: five years, and I still can tell you that. I
- 44:48Speaker 3: tell God I'm not stable enough to handle some you know,
- 44:54Speaker 3: unnecessary stuff. I have two daughters, one in junior high
- 44:59Speaker 3: and one in high school. So I'm showing up for
- 45:02Speaker 3: my kids like these parents do. And you will not
- 45:06Speaker 3: jump my daughters. It's not gonna happen. So, like these
- 45:10Speaker 3: parents are saying in these comments, children, read this and
- 45:15Speaker 3: read it very well. You will not jump my children.
- 45:18Speaker 3: You will not jump on me, and don't have no retaliation. Now,
- 45:22Speaker 3: we are fortunate that in these last two videos we've
- 45:25Speaker 3: seen gone viral that children have not been really hurt. Honestly,
- 45:31Speaker 3: is the parents that's been hurt. You ain't gonna see
- 45:34Speaker 3: me in that video like that. I'm just gonna go
- 45:36Speaker 3: ahead and put it out there like that, and I'm
- 45:38Speaker 3: just gonna pray God. I pray on discernment, so God knows,
- 45:41Speaker 3: you know, to let me know. There's things I just
- 45:43Speaker 3: have to walk away from where he tell me shining, no,
- 45:45Speaker 3: come on, back off of that, and I'll listen to God.
- 45:48Speaker 3: I will because I know when he tell me to
- 45:50Speaker 3: back up off of it. It's some stuff that I
- 45:52Speaker 3: shouldn't even be dealing with. But these children have no
- 45:57Speaker 3: respect and no regarding. All I'm looking for is for
- 46:00Speaker 3: that one child to stand up and say, uh uh,
- 46:03Speaker 3: we don't do this, we don't uh back up run
- 46:06Speaker 3: because in my day, we don'et all faced being jumped
- 46:10Speaker 3: at the bus stop, somebody waiting on you after school.
- 46:13Speaker 3: We didn't all face that that our mothers and parents
- 46:16Speaker 3: didn't get involved from.
- 46:16Speaker 4: And I ain't gonna lie. My mama showed up.
- 46:18Speaker 3: I ain't gonna lie, but and I'm gonna show up
- 46:20Speaker 3: because that's what I learned. But we have been in
- 46:23Speaker 3: situations where we don't have to fight at the bus
- 46:25Speaker 3: stop and fight after school.
- 46:27Speaker 4: Cool.
- 46:27Speaker 3: I didn't even been in a situation where I've been
- 46:29Speaker 3: jumped by some girls and had to take my mama
- 46:33Speaker 3: back because my MoMA said, you've been drunk. Oh, we're
- 46:35Speaker 3: not doing that. Took my mama back to the house
- 46:38Speaker 3: with my brother. Those of y'all who were there, you
- 46:40Speaker 3: already know and don't validate it in the comments because
- 46:43Speaker 3: they don't even need to know the whole story. But
- 46:45Speaker 3: I jumped with my God's sister, had to take my
- 46:48Speaker 3: mama back to the place, and what she had to
- 46:50Speaker 3: let these young girls know is three sisters that jump
- 46:54Speaker 3: me and my God's sister and some dudes that jumped
- 46:56Speaker 3: in whatever. And what my mom said is that I'm
- 47:00Speaker 3: here to get it straight. And I'm pretty sure she
- 47:02Speaker 3: was protected back in the day. I was like probably
- 47:06Speaker 3: by eighteen nineteen, I'm pretty sure she was protected. But
- 47:09Speaker 3: what she said was, I just want to get it
- 47:11Speaker 3: straight as to why my daughter had to be jumped.
- 47:15Speaker 3: What's going on? And do you know that these three
- 47:18Speaker 3: sisters that jumped on me and my God's sister and
- 47:21Speaker 3: had all these resources to jump on us from because
- 47:24Speaker 3: we at they house thinking everything was good.
- 47:28Speaker 4: This was family home girls, and they jumped on.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Us, right, so they explained to my mom, ma'am was
- 47:37Speaker 3: the first line they hit.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Ma'am.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Let's be clear, this had nothing to do with your daughter.
- 47:43Speaker 3: It had everything to do with the person that she
- 47:45Speaker 3: was helping. But it was the fact that and even
- 47:50Speaker 3: as I recall that that these three young ladies could
- 47:53Speaker 3: have jumped be we.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Don't care about you and your daughter, and they could
- 47:56Speaker 4: have squabbled up with me and my mama, but they
- 47:58Speaker 4: didn't do that.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Nowhere down the line, they were taught better to respect
- 48:03Speaker 3: their elders. And that's where it is where you see
- 48:06Speaker 3: these comments coming in that do you don't jump on
- 48:09Speaker 3: your elders and let your kids know keep their hands
- 48:11Speaker 3: to theyself because they going down if they touch me
- 48:13Speaker 3: in mind, and you may not understand that animosity, and
- 48:16Speaker 3: you may even be given that animosity and don't even
- 48:19Speaker 3: know that your child the one that's gonna get you.
- 48:21Speaker 4: In that situation. Here's the bottom line.
- 48:24Speaker 3: If we could see in these videos, and I think
- 48:26Speaker 3: in this second one that we've been seeing go viral,
- 48:29Speaker 3: there was one young man that finally showed up to
- 48:31Speaker 3: the scene and was like, Nah, stop it, squash it,
- 48:35Speaker 3: stop doing that. We need to see at least one
- 48:38Speaker 3: child that stands up and been raised right that says
- 48:41Speaker 3: we do not jump on adults.
- 48:43Speaker 4: That's not what we do.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Let her go move nah, and you on video, Nah,
- 48:48Speaker 3: we're not seeing that. So when you see these comments
- 48:52Speaker 3: where they say get your child or else, you gonna
- 48:54Speaker 3: understand that you're gonna be burying your child.
- 48:56Speaker 4: It's serious.
- 48:59Speaker 3: It's serious because if you think that I went through
- 49:01Speaker 3: as much as I've gone through as a single mom
- 49:04Speaker 3: to pave the way for my children, I don't wanna
- 49:06Speaker 3: let somebody else drag me and her. That's not finna happen.
- 49:12Speaker 3: That's not gonna happen. And some of y'all parents need
- 49:15Speaker 3: to get with your children instead of hey, yeah yeah,
- 49:17Speaker 3: when I come out, I'm not even finna. I can't
- 49:21Speaker 3: do it. I'm not gonna impersonate ignorance. What I'm telling
- 49:25Speaker 3: you is teach your child to keep their hands to
- 49:27Speaker 3: they self, keep your child to respect their elders so
- 49:31Speaker 3: that stuff like this don't go viral, and teach and
- 49:34Speaker 3: show our culture.
- 49:36Speaker 4: The girl who was recording it and one to aim
- 49:39Speaker 4: because she on tape, Aim.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Now we know who you are. I hope you're charged
- 49:45Speaker 3: as an accomplice.
- 49:48Speaker 4: I do.
- 49:49Speaker 3: I hope you are, because how dare you jump on
- 49:52Speaker 3: a mother and her child? You are disrespectful and yo,
- 49:55Speaker 3: mama didn't teach you right, because after these girls jumped
- 49:59Speaker 3: on me, they respected my mama enough. And when my
- 50:02Speaker 3: mama showed up and said, I just want to know
- 50:03Speaker 3: do we have a problem, and.
- 50:09Speaker 4: They said it didn't have nothing to do with her.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Mama said, I just want to make sure because if
- 50:12Speaker 3: it is a problem and squash it now, it wasn't her, ma'am.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Is what they said, ma'am. They didn't jump on me
- 50:19Speaker 3: and my mama when I showed up at their house.
- 50:21Speaker 3: And if you watch The Perfect Neighbor, as I'm showing
- 50:23Speaker 3: my daughter about how to do things right, The Perfect
- 50:26Speaker 3: Neighbor on Netflix shows you want to show up at.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Somebody else unarmed.
- 50:32Speaker 3: Unfortunately, and I'm not bringing that up to glorify what's
- 50:35Speaker 3: going on and what happened, but unfortunately that mother showed
- 50:39Speaker 3: up in defense to her child and was unable.
- 50:42Speaker 4: So one thing that my daughter and mom, I know
- 50:44Speaker 4: you ro roth.
- 50:45Speaker 3: For me, but can you please if I forget something
- 50:48Speaker 3: something happened, don't show up.
- 50:49Speaker 4: I let her know I'm smart. First of all, I'm
- 50:51Speaker 4: not showing up to somebody's door unprotected. I'm not. Ever,
- 50:58Speaker 4: if you.
- 50:58Speaker 3: See this face at your door, not unprotected. Okay, first
- 51:02Speaker 3: and foremost. Secondly, if I have to show up to
- 51:05Speaker 3: your door for my child, you better be protected.
- 51:11Speaker 4: This is crazy. Respect my children, come and talk to me,
- 51:15Speaker 4: and children.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Respect your elders. Go tell your mama. One thing I
- 51:20Speaker 3: told my daughter is.
- 51:21Speaker 4: You will not disrespect an elder.
- 51:23Speaker 3: If you feel intimidated, you feel disrespected, you come and
- 51:27Speaker 3: tell the weight class.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Because I'm ready to go.
- 51:31Speaker 3: And I feel really passionate about this because as I'm
- 51:34Speaker 3: watching these videos, y'all don't even know, I'm shedding real
- 51:36Speaker 3: tears about how the other people could feel. The parents
- 51:42Speaker 3: would feel about what I'm gonna do to their children
- 51:46Speaker 3: if they approach me like this, or they approach my
- 51:49Speaker 3: children like this and I'm around, I could I.
- 51:52Speaker 4: Shed real tears for the parents that say you through
- 51:55Speaker 4: my childhead through a window. I did. I did. I
- 52:00Speaker 4: was threatened, my child was threatened.
- 52:01Speaker 2: I did.
- 52:03Speaker 3: I'm not sorry when it comes to protecting me in minds,
- 52:08Speaker 3: when it comes to it pulling a pew pew, I
- 52:12Speaker 3: don't feel bad when I'm protecting me in minds, and
- 52:15Speaker 3: like I explained to somebody, you mad because I'm a pully.
- 52:18Speaker 4: I'm mad because you're a bully.
- 52:20Speaker 3: It's just as easy for me to pull something as
- 52:22Speaker 3: it is for you to leave us alone.
- 52:25Speaker 4: What are you doing? Stay to yourself? And I'm done
- 52:30Speaker 4: with that.
- 52:31Speaker 3: So again know this, I will protect my children like
- 52:34Speaker 3: these other women and families have protected theirs, And so
- 52:38Speaker 3: it's best for you to like these girls jump on me,
- 52:42Speaker 3: but they knew to respect my mama. Teach your children
- 52:47Speaker 3: how to respect people's mamas. You have to catch them
- 52:51Speaker 3: on another slide on another day, you catch them on
- 52:54Speaker 3: another squabble up.
- 52:56Speaker 4: You do not do that in front of their moms.
- 52:58Speaker 4: You don't have enough respect.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Then you gonna feel it, and your mama needs to
- 53:02Speaker 3: understand that you had to feel it because you was
- 53:04Speaker 3: there that day disrespecting.
- 53:06Speaker 4: And that is that.
- 53:07Speaker 3: On that before I get way too emotional about how
- 53:11Speaker 3: I feel on that, please when they say teach your
- 53:13Speaker 3: kids how to keep their hands to theyself, at least
- 53:15Speaker 3: teach them how to respect it. And on the flip
- 53:17Speaker 3: side of that, you know I seen the older sister
- 53:19Speaker 3: of that whole situation that jumped on me and my
- 53:22Speaker 3: guys start seeing her. About two years later, at a
- 53:24Speaker 3: gas station, young lady walked up and tapped on my
- 53:27Speaker 3: car window and apologized to me and told me how
- 53:31Speaker 3: she realized that that shouldn't have went down like that
- 53:33Speaker 3: that day, and how she's teaching her kids, who were
- 53:36Speaker 3: younger kids at that time. But I'm seeing them hop
- 53:38Speaker 3: out and going to the gas station, that she's teaching
- 53:40Speaker 3: her kids how to make better decisions, and where I
- 53:44Speaker 3: could be like beeling.
- 53:46Speaker 4: I'm trying not to cus but beeling because.
- 53:49Speaker 3: You made that no, because she didn't have to see
- 53:53Speaker 3: me apologize to me and even speak them words about
- 53:56Speaker 3: how she making sure that them.
- 53:58Speaker 4: Kids make better decisions.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Already know that she know how to respect somebody mama,
- 54:01Speaker 3: because she did it to mine. But if the better
- 54:05Speaker 3: decision is when you got a problem with somebody, you
- 54:07Speaker 3: don't let somebody else feed into it and make you
- 54:09Speaker 3: do some stuff, because that's how it happened. And again,
- 54:12Speaker 3: those who are there and know about the situation, you
- 54:14Speaker 3: ain't got it even validate it for the comments. I mean,
- 54:16Speaker 3: we got receipts, but it was foul. But I can
- 54:21Speaker 3: salute the young ladies who respected my mother enough to
- 54:25Speaker 3: not jump on me while she was there, not jump
- 54:28Speaker 3: on my brother because one of the things that one
- 54:31Speaker 3: of the other brothers said is, uh, y'all jumped on her.
- 54:33Speaker 4: Her family's showing up.
- 54:34Speaker 3: They got a right to be here, That's what I'm
- 54:36Speaker 3: talking about.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Clock that stuff.
- 54:42Speaker 3: We had every right to be there because y'all jumped
- 54:44Speaker 3: on me for no reason. And yes, I did bring
- 54:46Speaker 3: my mama back to the seene of the crime, in
- 54:49Speaker 3: which my daughter don't ever want to do that for me,
- 54:52Speaker 3: and I get it because we're not showing up to
- 54:53Speaker 3: somebody's house. That's what I'm teaching my daughter. But it's
- 54:59Speaker 3: about Oh, I knew something was wrong, and my mama
- 55:02Speaker 3: knew something was wrong, and she said, if there's a problem,
- 55:05Speaker 3: we gonna solve it. Y'all gonna go. Y'all gonna squabble
- 55:07Speaker 3: up on one on one with my daughter. But the
- 55:09Speaker 3: jump in her ain't never gonna happen again. And that's
- 55:13Speaker 3: how that got resolved, for them to respect her enough
- 55:15Speaker 3: to say it wasn't even about her. She jumped in
- 55:18Speaker 3: and she was helping to help whatever the case may be.
- 55:20Speaker 3: And that's what had happened with that. So I'm just saying,
- 55:23Speaker 3: if your kids had at least enough decency and respect,
- 55:28Speaker 3: they couldnot touch, keep.
- 55:30Speaker 4: Their hand to theyself.
- 55:31Speaker 3: And when your kids are defending themselves, understand, man, you
- 55:35Speaker 3: gotta hear the whole story. There's Carmelo and a whole
- 55:38Speaker 3: bunch of other people that are defending themselves, defending not
- 55:43Speaker 3: even standing their ground. It's not your ground, to be real,
- 55:46Speaker 3: God owns it all. You can walk away off that ground.
- 55:50Speaker 3: You can if you can get away, Like Georgia says,
- 55:52Speaker 3: if you can get away, you're supposed to and that's
- 55:53Speaker 3: how they charge you. Message for those who didn't know
- 55:58Speaker 3: Georgia say, if you can get away and you don't,
- 56:00Speaker 3: even in retaliation or protection, you're still charged. So if
- 56:06Speaker 3: you can get away, that's staying your ground. Ain't ain't
- 56:10Speaker 3: even like come on, like, just be smart. Don't be
- 56:14Speaker 3: so strategic and trying to take somebody down. Be smart
- 56:18Speaker 3: about how to bring yourself up. That's the bottom line
- 56:21Speaker 3: to that. So again, I'm gonna get off of that.
- 56:24Speaker 3: That was just about touching into that because that has
- 56:27Speaker 3: gone to a viral and I felt so passionate about
- 56:29Speaker 3: it that I just had to talk on that, and
- 56:31Speaker 3: let y'all know that I'm one of them mamas. I
- 56:34Speaker 3: squabble up and I got two daughters in school.
- 56:41Speaker 4: Please leave them alone.
- 56:43Speaker 3: They are concentrated, focused, excelling, and I'm pretty sure that
- 56:48Speaker 3: that becomes a target for some of y'all. Don't be
- 56:52Speaker 3: my target, and that's just fair, And that's just fair.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Teach your kids how parents feel, too, hey, And when
- 57:00Speaker 3: I teach my kids the same way, you feel something
- 57:02Speaker 3: about another student when you go to react, understand that
- 57:05Speaker 3: they may tell their parents.
- 57:06Speaker 4: So let's talk to a counselor let's try to resolve.
- 57:09Speaker 3: And they may seem like the punkish way, but I'm
- 57:12Speaker 3: trying to tell you it's the best way to live. Okay,
- 57:17Speaker 3: all right, So last, but not least, And I'm gonna
- 57:19Speaker 3: go ahead and wrap this up because I'm getting ooh,
- 57:21Speaker 3: I gotna pass my time.
- 57:22Speaker 4: But I hope y'all stuck long enough to hear this.
- 57:25Speaker 3: And if you didn't hear it, trust and believe I
- 57:27Speaker 3: will reiterate it at another time. I want to go
- 57:32Speaker 3: ahead and let the cat out the bag, since somebody
- 57:36Speaker 3: already let his head out. Unfortunately, I can't even say
- 57:43Speaker 3: unfortunately because I've had a great run. But let's go
- 57:46Speaker 3: ahead and do this bad to business. We'll no longer
- 57:50Speaker 3: be with the Crew podcast. I was kind of waiting
- 57:53Speaker 3: on that news, but like I said, since the cat
- 57:55Speaker 3: has already been let out the bag, let me go
- 57:57Speaker 3: ahead and let y'all know what's going on. Jazz and
- 58:00Speaker 3: I are starting a new project and doing new things.
- 58:04Speaker 3: Different things coming up. And although I have enjoyed my
- 58:08Speaker 3: great time at the group podcast, let me tell you
- 58:10Speaker 3: these women, we got a new The Kings of the
- 58:14Speaker 3: Airways Zachary Williams. You're phenomenal. I love the way that
- 58:19Speaker 3: you express yourself and do what you do. The Queens
- 58:22Speaker 3: have really taught me about resilience and how to keep going.
- 58:26Speaker 3: And if you've been following, I lost my dad this year.
- 58:30Speaker 3: It was really hard. Letting go of him was like
- 58:33Speaker 3: letting go of my mom that passed four years ago,
- 58:35Speaker 3: all over again. I felt like as long as he
- 58:37Speaker 3: was married to her, she was still somewhat alive.
- 58:40Speaker 4: So when he passed, it was just a whole nother
- 58:44Speaker 4: world for me.
- 58:44Speaker 3: But if you follow the podcast, go back, see what's
- 58:47Speaker 3: going on and follow me, you know, see what the
- 58:49Speaker 3: journey's been like and so I have been brought to
- 58:53Speaker 3: now this journey and God has told me that the
- 58:57Speaker 3: Crew Podcast has been very good to me and good
- 59:01Speaker 3: for me, but it is time for me to venture
- 59:04Speaker 3: out into some other things.
- 59:05Speaker 4: So it's not a bad thing.
- 59:08Speaker 3: I love what they've done for me, and I hope
- 59:10Speaker 3: that if they have room for me in another season,
- 59:12Speaker 3: I could come back and kind of do some things.
- 59:14Speaker 3: But I know that I could not commit to the
- 59:17Speaker 3: great things that they want to do and how they're
- 59:19Speaker 3: structuring things. And man, y'all stay with the Crew Podcast
- 59:22Speaker 3: as they getting ready to do some phenomenal things. But
- 59:26Speaker 3: this is my time to kind of venture off. I
- 59:29Speaker 3: hope that everybody can still follow me. Like I said,
- 59:31Speaker 3: I will give links and other things to the things
- 59:34Speaker 3: that you can follow me.
- 59:35Speaker 2: On, but we will.
- 59:38Speaker 3: Jazz and I will be doing a departure from the
- 59:40Speaker 3: Crew Podcast, and I hope that you will follow us
- 59:43Speaker 3: on the other adventures we go on.
- 59:45Speaker 4: So while Jazz is taking her break.
- 59:47Speaker 3: Away and doing her things to do, I can't wait
- 59:51Speaker 3: to follow up with her, and hopefully the next time
- 59:53Speaker 3: I see you guys, I'll be following up with Jazz
- 59:55Speaker 3: and she tells you all about her fantastic journey and
- 59:57Speaker 3: her wonderful testimony about what God is doing with her
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: and how he is a god of on time. I
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: just it's not my story to tell, and it's still unveiling,
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: so I can't wait for y'all to follow. But like
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: I said, I will be sending out the links and
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: doing all the things that we need to get y'all
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: to follow up and hopefully support us on what we're doing.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: But as for now, I am going to close this
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: out and I just thank y'all for joining me tonight
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: and allowing me to be, you know, vulnerable and a
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: little emotional about things, and this is a part of
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: me becoming who I need to be.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: Thank you so much for joining me.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: I love you all, and I can't wait to see
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: you on the next episode of Bad Tube Business.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: I am shining Saffron. See you later.
