- 0:07Hi, I'm Jay felon and you're listening to the slippery slope.
- 0:11I hope you had a good Easter. I had a good break, and thanks
- 0:15for joining me. Today, I tell you reading and
- 0:18seeing the news about Shanghai, just blowing my mind, what is
- 0:23going on about? What, what is going on over
- 0:26there? Now for those of you who are
- 0:29listening to my podcast for a while, you would have heard me
- 0:32talk to a pastor, Tom Hughes and if you see him on his YouTube
- 0:36channel, With him and other people like him have been
- 0:39warning of the possibility of food shortages coming and the
- 0:44personally I think I think there is definitely a possibility of
- 0:47food shortages, coming to the Western World.
- 0:50There are seems to be a lot of things happening, which could
- 0:53lead to food shortages. And this is why this story of
- 0:56what's happening in Shanghai is just, it's just so astounding at
- 1:01the moment. So, a couple of things, a couple
- 1:04of different articles that are want to go through.
- 1:07This first one which came out last week, and it was actually
- 1:10from ABC News here in Australia and the tight, the headline says
- 1:15Shanghai is China's richest city, but even billionaires and
- 1:20celebrities aren't safe from its extreme lock down.
- 1:24The says that it's known as the city that never sleeps, and
- 1:26we're Chinese and leaks reside. But now, even the richest
- 1:30residents in Shanghai facing food shortages due to a strict
- 1:35covid-19 locked. Down that has been in place for
- 1:38three weeks. So, last week, there was a
- 1:40screenshot that was going around on a wee chat message in which a
- 1:44Kathy Shue asked to join trading groups for bread and milk went
- 1:50viral on Chinese social media. So Kathy, she was nicknamed the
- 1:54queen of venture capitalism, or sorry, the queen Kathy shoe
- 2:00nicknamed. The queen of venture capital is
- 2:03the founder and president of capital today.
- 2:06With a personal wealth, estimated at 3.3 billion.
- 2:11That's according to her on global.
- 2:15She's also known as the investor behind the success of China's
- 2:19multi-billion dollar Tech Giants, such as e-commerce
- 2:23platform, JD and delivery app mate.
- 2:28One. So the screenshot shows she
- 2:30lives in a high-end property and shanghai's pudong District which
- 2:34is equivalent to the most expensive suburbs in Sydney.
- 2:39So but like many residents of China's, richest city, you must
- 2:43shoe has now turned to A social media Platforms in order to
- 2:47obtain groceries. So with supermarkets, shut and
- 2:51deliveries restricted to stop the spread of covid-19, that's
- 2:55the excuse they're using. They've locked down 26 million
- 2:58people because of spread of covid-19, many people are
- 3:03finding food is either out of stock, or they're unable to be
- 3:07shipped in time. So the 55 year old billionaire
- 3:10later posted on her WeChat confirming, the message Was hers
- 3:16and she said that her son bought a few classmates to her house.
- 3:19And we now have 12 people living together.
- 3:22We have a huge demand for food so I'll be asking to join the
- 3:26buying groups in the neighborhood.
- 3:28She wrote she's not the only member of China's upper class
- 3:32who has suffered during shanghai's lockdown.
- 3:35So on April 11, a prominent Chinese Economist and TV host.
- 3:39Larry Sun, King Lang revealed his ninety eight year old mother
- 3:44Mother had died of kidney problems after being unable to
- 3:48access. Emergency Services.
- 3:51Professor Lang said, on his weibo account, his mother had
- 3:54appeared to be suffering from kidney failure, and she only
- 3:58needed one injection as treatment.
- 4:01However, she was stopped our saw the emergency department at a
- 4:03top Hospital in Shanghai. So under shanghai's.
- 4:06Current covid-19. Restrictions everyone is
- 4:09required to undergo a PCR test for the Access Medical Services.
- 4:14He says that his mother did a PCR test at a hospital and they
- 4:19have to wait for hours and there was still no result coming out
- 4:24after waiting at the emergency department, entrance for four
- 4:27hours, his mother passed away. So because of these lockdowns
- 4:33mother dies, all she needs is one injection to save her life.
- 4:37But they would, they would rather they are more willing to
- 4:40let 98. You are a woman died out on the
- 4:43street. However, What our family even
- 4:45more amazing than what these things are.
- 4:48And keep in mind, this city of 26 million, people lockdown.
- 4:53They are facing food shortages and all, this is a man-made
- 4:56crisis. There's nothing natural about
- 4:58this crisis. The virus itself is a man-made
- 5:01virus and then everything that's wrapped around with it.
- 5:05With these lockdowns are all man-made, the food shortage is
- 5:08man-made but what blows my mind even more than this is?
- 5:13The fact is this on People here on battery do and he came from
- 5:16the guardian yesterday. And the headline says, Shanghai
- 5:19records. First official covid deaths
- 5:24since the lockdown was imposed? This came through yesterday says
- 5:29that three covid-19 fatalities have been reported in Shanghai,
- 5:34the first to be officially counted since the beginning of
- 5:38the city's locked down. So the three people reported on
- 5:43Monday in Did the two women aged, 89, and 88, and 91, and a
- 5:4991 year old man. So 89 and to 91 year old.
- 5:55So, and it goes on say, they also had who also had underlying
- 5:59health conditions and were reportedly unvaccinated.
- 6:03So I'm sorry if your 89 or 90 one, and you'll, you want to be
- 6:07unvaccinated, who cares? Seriously the fact that they
- 6:11still print this rubbish about being unvaccinated like It's got
- 6:15something to do with it. Blows my mind.
- 6:18Goes on to say that Shanghai municipal authorities said, the
- 6:21three were admitted to hospital and became critically ill.
- 6:26They died on Sunday. After all efforts were made to
- 6:29rescue them. So, as of April 5, more than 92
- 6:34million Chinese people over 65 including 20 point two million,
- 6:38over the age of 80 were not fully vaccinated.
- 6:42The outbreak of the Omicron Darien in the Chinese city of
- 6:45more than 24 believe it's actually 26 million.
- 6:48People has so far, infected at least three hundred twenty
- 6:52thousand people cinch. March it is the worst outbreak
- 6:57in China since the beginning of the pandemic, but despite the
- 7:01high number of cases, zero deaths have been attributed to
- 7:07it. So up, until now they've had 20
- 7:11somewhere between 24 to 26 million, people in complete
- 7:15lockdown. And a lot of you probably We
- 7:18seen the footage of Shanghai and nighttime where people opening
- 7:23their windows and screaming out. It's very eerie, some of the
- 7:27footage heavily. If you haven't seen it, I'd try
- 7:30and track it down on social media.
- 7:32And you'll see you'll hear people screaming out there want
- 7:36food. They want to be released from
- 7:38these lockdowns, and yet they've been in lockdown for three to
- 7:43four weeks now. And yet, they've only just had
- 7:47an official Death from this latest outbreak, the fact that
- 7:52they've got food shortages again, it's a man-made food
- 7:56shortage. I mean, the virus itself, that's
- 7:59me and made this whole crisis is man-made.
- 8:04And I'm not trying to exaggerate some big conspiracy theory, but
- 8:09I bet you these billionaires in Shanghai would never have dreamt
- 8:14of the day. We're all of them money, their
- 8:17wealth, their power and yet they were facing shoes, food,
- 8:21shortages within their own homes.
- 8:26We're a wealthy respected. Well-known businessman.
- 8:33Can't even get his own mother. The medication, she needs
- 8:37something as simple as one single injection to save a life.
- 8:41But instead she dies in the street, this is a man-made
- 8:45crisis, make me wonder why they're doing it.
- 8:49But if anyone, doubts that this could happen in the nation, like
- 8:53Australia, with we're hearing reports of possible food
- 8:58shortages because of the conflict over in Europe between
- 9:02Russia and Ukraine. We're hearing reports of
- 9:05possible week shortages. We keep hearing reports of
- 9:10possible fuel shortages here in Australia and it seems like at
- 9:15the moment, the government just keeps fixing things, they just
- 9:19fix things, just in the nick of time, tell me what you think.
- 9:23Should we be worried about this? Do ever could you ever foresee
- 9:28something like what's happening in Shanghai happening in
- 9:31Australia happening in America happening in Canada because
- 9:36three years ago, oldest year but that's China.
- 9:38That's the Chinese Communist Party mean.
- 9:41You know what else, what do you think, would happen in that
- 9:43place and yet, looking at what's happening in my nation of
- 9:47Australia for the last two years and the way we have treated our
- 9:50people because of the stupid virus, I tell you what, nothing
- 9:57would surprise me in there. Nothing at all.
- 10:01So, if this catastrophe of a lockdown and a man-made food
- 10:07shortage is happening in Shanghai, you better believe
- 10:11that this kind of rubbish could very well happen in Australia.
- 10:16And you better be prepared. That's my opinion.
- 10:20Thank you for listening to the slippers.
