We'll start with two very important words: mother and father. In Amharic, mother is እናት. Luna: እናት. That sounds warm. Let me try — እናት. Lucas: You got it. እናት. And father is አባት. Luna: አባት. That's a strong word. አባት. Lucas: Exactly. Now, to say 'my mother' you add a suffix: እናቴ. And 'my father' is አባቴ. Luna: Oh, so እናት becomes እናቴ? That's like adding an 'e' sound at the end. Lucas: Right. እናቴ. Try it. Luna: እናቴ. And my father — አባቴ. Lucas: Beautiful.
