Ship pump out operation program. 00:04:20:14 - 00:04:31:24 MAK Which smells, spells. I know what the boat is. Doesn't smell, but that spells. 00:04:31:26 - 00:04:33:18 Courtney Ms.. Poop. Poop? Yes. 00:04:33:23 - 00:04:35:08 MAK I love it. 00:04:35:10 - 00:04:36:15 Courtney And this is something. 00:04:36:17 - 00:04:39:09 MAK That when you do that, you don't mean to. 00:04:39:11 - 00:04:44:26 Courtney I don't know, a coincidence. 00:04:44:28 - 00:04:46:28 MAK So maybe. 00:04:47:00 - 00:04:48:29 Courtney This started 25 years ago. 00:04:49:04 - 00:04:49:19 MAK Yes. 00:04:49:26 - 00:04:58:07 Courtney And it's funded. It was funded in part of the Fish and Wildlife Service and the Clean Vessel Act. That's through the through the FDP. 00:04:58:08 - 00:05:07:16 MAK Which Department of environmental protection? Yes. Because really, like, we laugh about the name. We joke about it, but it is, 00:05:07:19 - 00:05:13:28 Courtney A free, convenient and safe and responsible way to remove sewage from boats. 00:05:14:00 - 00:05:16:10 MAK Right. So what I was going to say now. 00:05:16:12 - 00:05:17:28 Courtney Oh, that wasn't what you were going to say. 00:05:18:01 - 00:05:21:08 MAK Very well said. But it is about protecting our environment. 00:05:21:09 - 00:05:38:01 Courtney Yes it is. It is. And so far in the 25 years, right, they've removed 2.5 million gallons of untreated sewage. 00:05:38:03 - 00:05:40:19 MAK I don't know how many elephants that is. 00:05:40:21 - 00:05:42:27 Courtney We never know how many elephants things are. 00:05:42:28 - 00:05:44:00 MAK Oh, we never know. 00:05:44:00 - 00:05:47:04 Courtney Math's not our strongest thing. So, 00:05:47:06 - 00:05:58:03 MAK That we have that girl math thing. Yeah. But anyway, 2.5 sounds like a lot. Gallons is a lot. And I love that. This is something that our county does. Our utilities. 00:05:58:03 - 00:05:58:25 Courtney 00:05:58:27 - 00:06:17:14 MAK Department and our county. And it's. It was in the beginning. It was a model for other, counties and communities. And actually, I think, there was a county to the north of us that just recently came down to check it out, see how we do it, and see if it's something that they could implement. Implement. Yeah. 00:06:17:15 - 00:06:18:02 Courtney Nice. 00:06:18:03 - 00:06:21:18 MAK So we're still going strong after 25 years. 00:06:21:20 - 00:06:23:14 Courtney We to be leaders. 00:06:23:16 - 00:06:29:09 MAK We are leaders. I know in that area. I saw Ms.. Coupe today. As a matter of fact. 00:06:29:12 - 00:06:29:27 Courtney Did you? 00:06:29:28 - 00:06:30:20 MAK I did. 00:06:30:22 - 00:06:31:16 Courtney Was it smelly? 00:06:31:23 - 00:06:33:29 MAK Nope. It wasn't. It's just a boat. 00:06:34:02 - 00:06:35:22 Courtney Wasn't there? We thought it was. 00:06:35:22 - 00:06:39:08 MAK No. Why would you think that? No, no. 00:06:39:10 - 00:06:39:27 Courtney Not at all. 00:06:40:04 - 00:06:40:29 MAK 00:06:42:01 - 00:06:52:01 Courtney So if you weren't able to watch the board meeting. Have no fear. Right. You can watch it on YouTube. 00:06:52:03 - 00:06:53:15 MAK Or Facebook. 00:06:53:17 - 00:06:55:01 Courtney Or MCPs TV. 00:06:55:04 - 00:06:57:03 MAK You can go a lot of different places. 00:06:57:04 - 00:07:02:23 Courtney Yeah.
