- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, all right, yo yo yo, coming to you
- 0:07Speaker 1: live from Philly. It's the Polly and Tony Fosco Show,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Yo yo yo, as always Polly Foosco here with Tony
- 0:16Speaker 1: Foosco and Tony back in our studios here. You know,
- 0:19Speaker 1: last week we were down in Tampa for the Super Bowl.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Had a great time. You know, we did try to
- 0:25Speaker 1: get into the game, but as you saw on TV,
- 0:28Speaker 1: it was sold out hundred percent capacity. Yeah, and that
- 0:32Speaker 1: was all right because we ended up going to a
- 0:34Speaker 1: bar down there in Tampa which was packed to the
- 0:37Speaker 1: girls because it's Florida and they still know how to
- 0:42Speaker 1: have a good time down there. Yeah, they sure do.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And you know, getting to today's show, we invited Andy
- 0:48Speaker 1: Reid in any member of the Chiefs, you know, to
- 0:51Speaker 1: come on and talk about how embarrassing it is to
- 0:54Speaker 1: lose to a has been like Tom Brady, but nobody accepted,
- 0:58Speaker 1: you know. Surprisingly of course, you know, we were hoping
- 1:01Speaker 1: because we needed a better guest this week, much better
- 1:03Speaker 1: than Nick right a k A Nick wrong, you know,
- 1:06Speaker 1: who truly embarrassed himself. But you know, hey, we do
- 1:09Speaker 1: have a more talented guest this week. You want to
- 1:11Speaker 1: super Bowl with the Packers wide receiver, and you know
- 1:15Speaker 1: we're gonna ask him. We're gonna find out if he
- 1:17Speaker 1: regrets not going to play with Tom Brady and you know,
- 1:20Speaker 1: lucking his way into a championship wide receiver. Greg Jennings,
- 1:25Speaker 1: by the way, Tony, you know, we have to mention
- 1:27Speaker 1: this is a momentous show for us today, a big
- 1:32Speaker 1: episode celebrations, so congratulations are in order to us. Wow,
- 1:39Speaker 1: where does the time go? It feels like Show one
- 1:42Speaker 1: was just literally like a few months ago, and look
- 1:46Speaker 1: at us now here we are. You know, episodes. You've
- 1:49Speaker 1: got to really take your hat off to that. You know.
- 1:51Speaker 1: The other day, my mom she comes up to me
- 1:53Speaker 1: and she says, hey, you gotta watch the show on Netflix.
- 1:56Speaker 1: This show a queen's gambit. You haven't heard of this,
- 1:59Speaker 1: you know, she says, it's impressive. I said to her, impressive.
- 2:04Speaker 1: How many episodes is it? She says seven? I say
- 2:08Speaker 1: that's not impressive. Tryve Yeah, seven? Are you kidding me?
- 2:14Speaker 1: We're like ten of that? Yep. And you know we're
- 2:18Speaker 1: gonna get the Greg Jennings in a few minutes here.
- 2:20Speaker 1: But first we're gonna wrap up everything we got right
- 2:23Speaker 1: about the super Bowl because we nailed everything as usual.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So here it is. It's where Polly and Tony were right,
- 2:32Speaker 1: where Polly and Tony were right. All right, you know,
- 2:37Speaker 1: we admit we gotta start by mentioning the greatest accomplishment
- 2:41Speaker 1: in sports history. You know, we take our hat off
- 2:43Speaker 1: to this man. He achieved something that nobody has ever done.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Of course, we're talking about the great la Shawn McCoy,
- 2:52Speaker 1: who won back to back Super Bowls even though he
- 2:55Speaker 1: never actually played in the game. But we told you
- 2:58Speaker 1: over and over people he was the X factor, and
- 3:01Speaker 1: sure enough he led the Bucks to victory. You know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: this is far more impressive than what Tom Brady did.
- 3:09Speaker 1: This shows how much of a force LaShaun McCoy is
- 3:13Speaker 1: that he could influence the outcome of a game without
- 3:17Speaker 1: even taking the field. You could tell the Chief's defense
- 3:21Speaker 1: wasn't actually even focused on the game because they kept
- 3:25Speaker 1: looking over at the bench to make sure that Shawn
- 3:28Speaker 1: McCoy was still sitting there. Yeah, and you saw, you know,
- 3:31Speaker 1: that created holes in the Chief's defense for Gronk and
- 3:35Speaker 1: a b. You gotta credit that all to Lashawn McCoy. Yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 1: he was doing play action from the bench. Smart where
- 3:44Speaker 1: Paul and were right. You know another thing that we
- 3:47Speaker 1: got bango right on the nose. Tom Brady, we told you,
- 3:51Speaker 1: he knows he's a shitty, talentless quarterback, so he went
- 3:55Speaker 1: and surrounded himself with people who could cover for his weaknesses.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And sure enough, at were the Bucks expertly covered for
- 4:03Speaker 1: all his shittiness. And Tony, you know this is not
- 4:06Speaker 1: something we haven't seen before. We've seen this many times,
- 4:09Speaker 1: right of course. Look at the nineties band Sugar Ray
- 4:13Speaker 1: with that lead singer whatever the funk his name is
- 4:16Speaker 1: Molly McGrath or whatever the fuck that half a man
- 4:20Speaker 1: couldn't sink to save his life. Also, he looked like
- 4:24Speaker 1: Guy Fierti fucked Vanilla ice, but somehow he had several
- 4:29Speaker 1: hits because his band covered for his complete lack of talent,
- 4:34Speaker 1: just like Tom Brady. There you go, well said Tom
- 4:37Speaker 1: Brady is the Sugar Ray of quarterbacks. You know what
- 4:41Speaker 1: that is right there? That is great digital content producer, Jay,
- 4:46Speaker 1: make a note, put that on our social watch. It
- 4:49Speaker 1: go viral. Yeah, ten thousand clicks. Where Paul and were right.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Another thing we got right on the nose. We told
- 4:57Speaker 1: you the problem with Patrick Mahomes is that he's a
- 5:00Speaker 1: quarterback who thinks he's a running back. You know, you
- 5:04Speaker 1: saw it Sunday he broke the Super Bowl rushing record
- 5:07Speaker 1: running horizontal. I mean I saw something out there it
- 5:11Speaker 1: said he ran for yards. It's the Super Bowl, not
- 5:15Speaker 1: Tech Mobowl. You got to know your position, right, Tony.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You know, I've studied the science here, and it seems
- 5:22Speaker 1: like Patrick Mahomes has a classic case of body dysmorphia.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I saw this once on A and E. This guy
- 5:30Speaker 1: was a human on the outside, but inside he thought
- 5:34Speaker 1: he was a dog. He would bark at people, he
- 5:38Speaker 1: would poop outside, he would pee on the fire hydrant.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And I'm sure this is what's going on with Patrick Mahomes.
- 5:48Speaker 1: He's a quarterback on the outside, but inside he thinks
- 5:52Speaker 1: he's a running back. You know, Tony, that was one
- 5:55Speaker 1: of your greatest takes ever. Such insightful con and there,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you know, and when you when you lay it out
- 6:02Speaker 1: like that, you know you you say it out loud,
- 6:05Speaker 1: it just sounds right. Yeah, alright, Finally we're gonna do
- 6:08Speaker 1: something right now that we've never done on this show.
- 6:12Speaker 1: This is special for our five episode. We're gonna do
- 6:16Speaker 1: it right now. People listen up, because This isn't gonna
- 6:19Speaker 1: happen a lot. This doesn't happen a lot. We're gonna
- 6:22Speaker 1: admit where we were wrong. We're Polly and Tony were wrong,
- 6:29Speaker 1: all right, We admit we got our NFL m v
- 6:33Speaker 1: P prediction wrong. Aaron Rodgers won the NFL MVP Award
- 6:38Speaker 1: in a runaway, but we thought the clear winner this
- 6:41Speaker 1: season was gonna be COVID. You know, when you look
- 6:45Speaker 1: at the stats, people, COVID was basically unstoppable, couldn't be contained.
- 6:50Speaker 1: No defense could stop it, not even the Bucks t
- 6:53Speaker 1: And you know, even when they thought they had it cornered,
- 6:57Speaker 1: you know, COVID just managed to escape the park it,
- 7:00Speaker 1: you know, creating all those variants, just showing off such
- 7:04Speaker 1: escapability and as we all know, that is so valuable
- 7:08Speaker 1: in this league. And you know, it's just it's just
- 7:11Speaker 1: an unstoppable force when you look at it. I mean,
- 7:14Speaker 1: it's the Lawrence Tailor of communicative viruses. A couple more
- 7:19Speaker 1: years like this and COVID's a lock for Canton in
- 7:22Speaker 1: my opinion. You know, Tony, I gotta say, listening to
- 7:26Speaker 1: us talking, we're just making so much sense that, uh,
- 7:29Speaker 1: you know, I don't I don't think we're really wrong. Yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 1: the NFL was wrong. Producer Jay, just make a note
- 7:35Speaker 1: to edit this part out. I'm gonna do what they
- 7:39Speaker 1: call in the business a pick up right now, So
- 7:41Speaker 1: here we go. You'll never even know we did something
- 7:45Speaker 1: called where Polly and Tony were wrong. It'll be like
- 7:49Speaker 1: Men in Black three, the one alright, that wraps up
- 7:55Speaker 1: where Polly and Tony were right three for three performance
- 7:58Speaker 1: right there. Yeah, and hey, look who's coming on the
- 8:02Speaker 1: line right now, our guests, So let's get him on
- 8:04Speaker 1: the Fusco satellite network. Alright, this guy wide receiver, two
- 8:12Speaker 1: time pro bowler, spent ten seasons in the NFL, mostly
- 8:15Speaker 1: for the Packers. Had some stints, you know, with the
- 8:17Speaker 1: Minnesota in Miami, but of course want a Super Bowl
- 8:21Speaker 1: back in eleven when the Packers beat the Steelers. Harry
- 8:25Speaker 1: is Greg Jennings. Welcome to the show. Welcome Greg. What's
- 8:30Speaker 1: happening all this all this, all this, all this ego
- 8:36Speaker 1: apparel jumping through the screen. Uh, don't you'll know anything
- 8:41Speaker 1: about the show. You know, we are the official podcast
- 8:45Speaker 1: of the Eagles organization. You know, they don't publicize it,
- 8:49Speaker 1: but you know, on that note, isn't there something you'd
- 8:52Speaker 1: like to say to us right now? Yeah, thank you
- 8:56Speaker 1: for being one of the reasons we made it to
- 9:01Speaker 1: the super Bowl. Wait a second, you're already going there.
- 9:05Speaker 1: You know this is episode celebration. You didn't even You
- 9:10Speaker 1: didn't even bother to mention that, you know, before you
- 9:12Speaker 1: come on a show you might want research. Yeah, congratulate
- 9:18Speaker 1: you well. Congratulations on on that as well as being
- 9:22Speaker 1: the reason why I wear a Super Bowl ring every year. Wow,
- 9:29Speaker 1: we're gonna start like this. Okay, you are ungrateful in
- 9:33Speaker 1: many ways, and you know, just so we know, just
- 9:35Speaker 1: so you know, our guest booker said he had a
- 9:38Speaker 1: hard time getting you to do the show. He said,
- 9:40Speaker 1: you didn't return some text some calls. You've got a
- 9:43Speaker 1: problem with us or something. There's something going on there.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I wanted to make sure that, um, this was gonna
- 9:49Speaker 1: be a kind of a celebratory moment for for me
- 9:53Speaker 1: as well as you guys. Like I said on you
- 9:57Speaker 1: guys enjoying the defeat and we and joining the division
- 10:02Speaker 1: or the wild card round win against you guys back
- 10:05Speaker 1: in it's our tenure anniversary. Didn't you get the memo?
- 10:09Speaker 1: You know, I'm just saying, Greg, you're a receiver, so
- 10:13Speaker 1: you should be better at receiving text message. Looks sometimes
- 10:18Speaker 1: sometimes you don't catch them all. Looks like you have
- 10:21Speaker 1: as bad awareness as you did when you were playing.
- 10:24Speaker 1: But look, what's with you wanted to talk about this?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Eagles lost to the Package. You know ten years ago.
- 10:30Speaker 1: It's been a decade. Come on, nobody cares anymore. Um,
- 10:33Speaker 1: it's important because that's my only Super Bowl ring. So
- 10:37Speaker 1: I figured I need to pay homage to those who
- 10:41Speaker 1: allowed and assisted us on that journey because we wouldn't
- 10:45Speaker 1: have We wouldn't have been able to get there without
- 10:46Speaker 1: you guys, So we appreciate it. Yeah, you know, you're
- 10:50Speaker 1: lucky Nick Foles was in college at the time, because
- 10:53Speaker 1: he would have killed you. Your rate case would be
- 10:56Speaker 1: as empty as your head, come to think of it.
- 10:59Speaker 1: If there's anybody you should be thinking, it's Mr Nick Foles. Yeah. Anyway,
- 11:04Speaker 1: let's get to the Super Bowl. You know, we witnessed
- 11:07Speaker 1: one of the greatest individual accomplishments in sports history by
- 11:11Speaker 1: an all time legend. Let's hear your thoughts on what
- 11:14Speaker 1: we saw. What are you talking about the all time
- 11:17Speaker 1: I need to make sure you're talking about the all
- 11:19Speaker 1: time legend being Tom Brady. I'm never quite sure with
- 11:22Speaker 1: you too. Oh well, see you at least you have
- 11:24Speaker 1: a point. You know who the real person was. Of course,
- 11:27Speaker 1: we're talking about Sean McCoy exactly exactly. I knew there
- 11:34Speaker 1: was a caveat here. I knew it. You know what
- 11:37Speaker 1: he's back to back Super Bowl wins for for the
- 11:41Speaker 1: Shawn McCoy. Yep, you already think that's impressive. He didn't
- 11:45Speaker 1: even He did it the smart way. He didn't have
- 11:49Speaker 1: to take any hits. He stayed healthy all season. Very impressive,
- 11:53Speaker 1: you have to say, Greg, very impressive performance and back
- 11:57Speaker 1: to back Super Bowl wins. You agree that the defense
- 12:00Speaker 1: was nervous that they'd bring Lashawn McCoy into the game,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and that's why they played like ship. They were just worried.
- 12:07Speaker 1: What are you talking about. They weren't worried about the
- 12:10Speaker 1: Shawn McCoy. He hadn't He didn't have any any tape
- 12:15Speaker 1: to put on film, so they knew what he was
- 12:18Speaker 1: all about. He was gonna stand there, he was gonna
- 12:20Speaker 1: cheer for his teammates, hope that they got it done,
- 12:24Speaker 1: which they did the same pretty much the way he
- 12:28Speaker 1: did last year on the sideline, on the chief sideline.
- 12:33Speaker 1: That is sounds like someone's jealous because Lashawn McCoy has
- 12:38Speaker 1: more Super Bowls than he does. You know, look, let's
- 12:41Speaker 1: just get into this. You know, you're a wide receiver here,
- 12:44Speaker 1: Tom Brady. Al right, we all know he's a talentless
- 12:47Speaker 1: has been right. But he surrounds himself. He surrounds himself
- 12:51Speaker 1: with people who cover for his weaknesses. You know, as
- 12:53Speaker 1: a wide receiver. Don't you look at a guy like
- 12:55Speaker 1: that and say, you know, stop hogging all the credit? There?
- 12:58Speaker 1: Hogging what credit? He's the most gracious quarterback I think
- 13:02Speaker 1: I've watched play this game. He gives all the credits
- 13:05Speaker 1: to everyone around him. Yes, he plays a huge role,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and he garners so much attention, but rightfully so. He
- 13:12Speaker 1: has seven Super Bowl rings and one by which he
- 13:18Speaker 1: graciously took Shady McCoy along for the ride, just for
- 13:25Speaker 1: you Eagles fan. No, he needed that tutelage from Shady McCoy.
- 13:29Speaker 1: He needed to be taught. You know, I heard some
- 13:32Speaker 1: of it from a very reliable source that Lashawn McCoy
- 13:35Speaker 1: had a microphone into Brady's helmet and he said, throw there,
- 13:39Speaker 1: throw the ground he's open. That's why Brady was so successful.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Is there a microphone in your helmet right now? Do
- 13:48Speaker 1: you do you need someone telling you that what you're
- 13:52Speaker 1: saying is the voice of God giving him takes from heaven? Uh?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Let me ask you. Come on, looking back at your career,
- 14:00Speaker 1: don't you think, hey, maybe I should have gone and played,
- 14:02Speaker 1: you know, for a talent was has been like Tom
- 14:05Speaker 1: Brady instead of wasting my time with Aaron Rodgers. Come on, um,
- 14:09Speaker 1: do you know what maybe later in my career, after
- 14:12Speaker 1: I left Aaron Rodgers and uh, I could have used
- 14:16Speaker 1: what you guys are describing as a talentless Tom Brady. Yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 1: I would have loved to play with so such a
- 14:23Speaker 1: non talented quarterback and Tom Brady and and uh be
- 14:27Speaker 1: along for the ride for some of those Super Bowl winds.
- 14:31Speaker 1: There you go. Now you're thinking, see this is what
- 14:33Speaker 1: you Yeah, yeah, you went, you went to Minnesota, you
- 14:38Speaker 1: went to Miami. I mean, don't you look back and said,
- 14:40Speaker 1: you know, I should have fired my agent for that?
- 14:42Speaker 1: What was he thinking? Man? Look, you you stick stick
- 14:46Speaker 1: to being behind the microphone and just being a fan.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'll tell you where I could stick a microphone. He
- 14:54Speaker 1: go yeah, exactly. You know, all right, look look look,
- 14:58Speaker 1: hold done, but pat balls, come on, tell us you
- 15:01Speaker 1: know this guy, he's a quarterback who clearly has a
- 15:04Speaker 1: problem because he thinks he's a running back, you know,
- 15:07Speaker 1: as a wide receiver like itself. Don't you look at
- 15:09Speaker 1: a qub like that and think, stop with all this
- 15:11Speaker 1: clowning around and just you know, throw the fucking ball already.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So this is the problem you feel, you feel the
- 15:17Speaker 1: guys always think you know what's best, but you are
- 15:21Speaker 1: you're unwilling to criticize and be critical of your own
- 15:26Speaker 1: What was Carson Wins doing all year? He was being
- 15:31Speaker 1: a traditional quarterback. He was doing it the right way,
- 15:35Speaker 1: standing in the pocket and hit after hit, and and
- 15:39Speaker 1: when Jalen Hurts did it, at least Jalen got results.
- 15:42Speaker 1: He had us in contention till the end he did
- 15:44Speaker 1: it was out of contention at the Patrick Mahomes was
- 15:49Speaker 1: out of contention those last three quarters of the game.
- 15:53Speaker 1: I should I should really just hang up right now
- 15:57Speaker 1: because you have no idea just oh yeah, oh I
- 16:02Speaker 1: see what's going on. Yeah, we want to know on
- 16:05Speaker 1: that subject, you know, you would dodge in not calls,
- 16:08Speaker 1: not getting back to our guest book. What the hell
- 16:11Speaker 1: were you so busy doing anything other than joining YouTube?
- 16:16Speaker 1: Oh well, guess what, I got a special for you.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You'll make me Greg Jennings, But I'm Peter Jennings, and
- 16:25Speaker 1: I got news for you. You're off the show. Yeah,
- 16:28Speaker 1: we gotta run for you to run. That is out
- 16:31Speaker 1: the ball. You guys are a bunch of idiots. Oh wait,
- 16:40Speaker 1: why didn't he is exactly why I should have never responded.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You know, this is why Tom Brady avoided putting Greg
- 16:51Speaker 1: Jennings on his team's Yeah, he couldn't rely on him
- 16:55Speaker 1: to show up and deliver a good interview. You can't
- 16:58Speaker 1: even rely on him for They couldn't even receive a
- 17:01Speaker 1: phone call. How's he going to receive a football? He's
- 17:04Speaker 1: not a receiver. He's more of a decliner. Yeah all right, well, look,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you know we're not gonna let that get to us because,
- 17:11Speaker 1: as always, we have important business to do at this
- 17:14Speaker 1: time in the show add space that we sold, and
- 17:18Speaker 1: this week we're gonna do an ad for a big
- 17:20Speaker 1: name in the area of men's undergarments, Tommy John do
- 17:26Speaker 1: you like underwear? Named after pictures from the nineties seventies,
- 17:30Speaker 1: Then you'll love Tommy John. If you don't have a
- 17:32Speaker 1: lot of room for your catfish hunter down there. You
- 17:35Speaker 1: know you keep tugging at your McGraw, then your lower
- 17:38Speaker 1: half is telling you that you need to make a
- 17:41Speaker 1: change in your bullpen and bring in Tommy John, the
- 17:45Speaker 1: ultimate starter and reliever. Tony, you've had a personal experience
- 17:50Speaker 1: with that Tommy John, haven't your Yeah? I was having
- 17:54Speaker 1: a little problem with my oral hershiser being too tight
- 17:58Speaker 1: in my pants was causing a lot of discomfort and chafing.
- 18:03Speaker 1: My aunt Marie one day said, Tony, have you tried
- 18:07Speaker 1: underwear named after nine seventies pitchers? And then I said no,
- 18:13Speaker 1: And then Marie said, it's Tommy John. My boyfriend Nunzio
- 18:18Speaker 1: wears it all the time, and it comes in all
- 18:21Speaker 1: sizes small, medium, lodge or x LC, just like Nunzio wears.
- 18:29Speaker 1: And then I said, x l C what does that
- 18:33Speaker 1: stand for? And then she winked at me, and then
- 18:38Speaker 1: Nunzio winked at me, and that's when I realized that
- 18:42Speaker 1: Nunzio has a giant cock. What a wonderful story and
- 18:47Speaker 1: a true testament to the power and comfort of Tommy John.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Go to your computer, take out your rally fingers and
- 18:55Speaker 1: type in the coupon code folly and to episode special
- 19:00Speaker 1: and they'll give you two point five off Dommy John.
- 19:04Speaker 1: There you go, people. All right, Well that wraps up
- 19:07Speaker 1: our advertisement. There. When that wraps up about episodes, we
- 19:15Speaker 1: almost made it out. Producer decided to do his job terribly.
- 19:19Speaker 1: What a few mistakes you made that I think I
- 19:22Speaker 1: should point out. I don't think you should. But what Well,
- 19:26Speaker 1: first of all, you said the super Bowl was sold
- 19:28Speaker 1: out at one percent capacity, only two people were allowed
- 19:32Speaker 1: in the rest for cardboard cutouts. Well, uh, we're going
- 19:37Speaker 1: to replace you with a cardboard cutout. Yeah, you need
- 19:40Speaker 1: to cut out the talking and interrupting. Yeah, alright fine. Second,
- 19:45Speaker 1: you said Patrick Mahomes ran for fort hundred yards. Yeah,
- 19:50Speaker 1: it was actually four hundred nineties seven yards according to
- 19:53Speaker 1: next Gen stats, So basically one tenth of what you said.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Well you have one tenth of a brain. So there
