- 0:35Speaker 1: How are you.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I'm good. I'm good. I was gonna tell you. Guys
- 0:37Speaker 4: and So had his program last night.
- 0:39Speaker 5: Yeah, right, second grade program and it was like the
- 0:42Speaker 5: cutest thing ever. They like did these little I don't
- 0:46Speaker 5: know what. They had, like little scarf things and they
- 0:48Speaker 5: were like doing some kind of like tooral with them.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it was.
- 0:51Speaker 5: It was pretty unhinged this program last night, really unhinged. Yeah,
- 0:56Speaker 5: it was just I've never seen a program like this before.
- 0:58Speaker 4: I really like it.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Like he has a new music teacher, I guess this year,
- 1:01Speaker 5: and so the programming was just a little bit different
- 1:03Speaker 5: than we were used to the first two years. But
- 1:05Speaker 5: I absolutely loved it. She had like music from all
- 1:08Speaker 5: across the world, kids speaking different languages.
- 1:12Speaker 1: They just didn't get up there and sing jingle bells. Right.
- 1:14Speaker 5: It wasn't just standing there and like saying and then
- 1:17Speaker 5: you say something and then they say something. They were
- 1:19Speaker 5: like playing these drums on the stage and toiling and
- 1:22Speaker 5: doing all these things. There was pretty solid choreography this year.
- 1:26Speaker 5: And it may just be because they're second grader's now
- 1:28Speaker 5: and they can handle more, you know, in their kindergarten.
- 1:31Speaker 1: It's like, well, and had a speaking part.
- 1:33Speaker 4: He did have a speaking part.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I've never had as a kid in my Christmas program.
- 1:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Well, he came up to the microphone and all the
- 1:41Speaker 5: kids were going so fast.
- 1:43Speaker 4: You know how when you're little like that.
- 1:44Speaker 5: You just and then back to your spot, run back. Yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 5: that's what they all did.
- 1:48Speaker 4: It was so cute.
- 1:50Speaker 5: But I realized at the end that we never took
- 1:52Speaker 5: a picture at the program, and so now I'm a
- 1:54Speaker 5: mom without a second grade program.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Family picture my parents came, didn't happen. Didn't get it
- 2:00Speaker 4: picture with them?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Then it didn't happen. I know, well, of course it did. Well,
- 2:03Speaker 3: you know what, that's okay, somebody did.
- 2:05Speaker 5: It made me so well, I mean, like of us
- 2:07Speaker 5: at like together with my parents and him or us
- 2:10Speaker 5: an Enzo and I felt so sad afterward, and Eric
- 2:13Speaker 5: had to finally just say, you know what, it's okay,
- 2:15Speaker 5: let it go, you know, but it made me sad.
- 2:19Speaker 3: I was in a very special place yesterday. I don't
- 2:21Speaker 3: know if you saw did see that?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yes, I went.
- 2:24Speaker 3: By to see my friends at Towny's Ford shout out today,
- 2:28Speaker 3: They're awesome. And I went by the birthplace of Cannaslopez.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Oh my god, it was. It was. It was like
- 2:37Speaker 1: visiting Bethlehem where Jesus was born.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Did you feel a sense of peace.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I stopped in the parking lot of town East. I
- 2:46Speaker 1: see the north Star, the north Star? Yeah?
- 2:52Speaker 3: Got it?
- 2:52Speaker 1: No, it's the north Star.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Is that broken street light that's in the parking lot
- 2:56Speaker 3: by Oh?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it was beautiful though.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I was at your old stomping grounds. I just pulled
- 3:02Speaker 3: in there to take a look. Touch down my story
- 3:04Speaker 3: because I captured the moment online at Billy.
- 3:07Speaker 4: On the radio.
- 3:08Speaker 3: I was emotional because you were born under a tree
- 3:12Speaker 3: in a towny small parking lot and a little Mesquite manger.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was.
- 3:17Speaker 3: It was beautiful, so Cannice, Yeah, and you know who's
- 3:20Speaker 3: also I had special moments at that mall too.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he was arrested there three times at tomorrow.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yeah, for shoplifting. So anyway, now, but yeah, it was
- 3:32Speaker 3: it was funny.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It was like good, Yeah, Mosquite was great. Day in
- 3:35Speaker 1: the afternoon, Misquit was awesome.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Besides the drivers six five is hell.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Yeah. I avoided at all costs.
- 3:44Speaker 5: I'll take side roads, I'll hit you know, thirty or
- 3:47Speaker 5: whatever I gotta do.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It really is bad. But anyway, producer poo is here,
- 3:50Speaker 1: what's up, poo hey? Yesterday I went shopping for some
- 3:53Speaker 1: new shoes. What you went shopping again?
- 3:57Speaker 7: Yeah, for some new shoes. I had to treat myself.
- 4:01Speaker 7: I was so hyph got home. Guess what I had
- 4:04Speaker 7: two lefts in the back.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That happened to me, so I didn't.
- 4:09Speaker 7: I was talking to the guys.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Let me guess where you got him.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Let me guess where you got guess Coles no Ross
- 4:17Speaker 3: because they always checked Dix always checks Dick's checks where
- 4:23Speaker 3: it starts with an A academy academy.
- 4:28Speaker 7: I was like, yeah, they're all clearance, and you know that.
- 4:30Speaker 7: You see all those boxes, I was like, I grabbed it.
- 4:33Speaker 7: I was like, thanks man, and I opened it up.
- 4:36Speaker 7: But I didn't pay attention a home.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I was like, no, you can't wear because I was
- 4:44Speaker 5: playing to I was gonna bring I was gonna bring
- 4:46Speaker 5: them out.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But I did the same thing.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I bought a pair of Nikes on sale of Coles
- 4:51Speaker 3: got home two right feet. I took him back because
- 4:55Speaker 3: I'm like, the other shoes got to be here. They
- 4:58Speaker 3: couldn't find it. We had no other pairs of the
- 5:01Speaker 3: shoes I wanted because.
- 5:02Speaker 5: It's probably on display and they always forgets.
- 5:04Speaker 3: And then they were trying to tell me there was
- 5:05Speaker 3: no refunds. What had something on sale? I'm like, I
- 5:09Speaker 3: got two right shoes.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm leaving here with something. So finally they let me
- 5:13Speaker 1: do store credit. But I was like, what the heck.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Oh, that's the worst. That reminds me of like seventh grade.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I was so soaked to wear this new shirt from
- 5:20Speaker 5: limited to and it had the security.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Tag on it and I couldn't wear it that day.
- 5:24Speaker 4: I'm triggered by that. That was the townies.
- 5:27Speaker 3: That's when you got to know Pooh, because you knows
- 5:28Speaker 3: how to get those tags out of those.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Just throwing that out there, get it.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Off your chest to promise you'll feel better. Welcome to
- 5:39Speaker 4: the dirty little secret.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Oh, thank you for having a song this morning. It's
- 5:42Speaker 3: mixed one or two point nine. I'll be able to
- 5:44Speaker 3: kid Can of slow Pants producer poo. If you get
- 5:46Speaker 3: a secret, let us know, especially before the end of
- 5:49Speaker 3: the year, because it's just good to get it off
- 5:50Speaker 3: your chest. Going to twenty twenty six fresh Yeah, with
- 5:54Speaker 3: a clean slate. Lighter, yes, lighter, confess. Yeah, you want
- 5:57Speaker 3: to lose weight, lose the weight of a secret.
- 6:00Speaker 1: How about that? Okay? And you got one? What's up? Okay?
- 6:04Speaker 6: So I just got engaged.
- 6:13Speaker 8: It was just a couple of weeks ago. But nobody
- 6:16Speaker 8: really knows outside of my parents. I keep telling my
- 6:21Speaker 8: fiance that we should wait to announce our engagement. Why well,
- 6:28Speaker 8: so I tell him, you know, it's just out of
- 6:30Speaker 8: respect for my sister.
- 6:32Speaker 9: You know, she just got engaged. I don't want to
- 6:34Speaker 9: overshadow her. You know, he's a good guy. He just
- 6:37Speaker 9: you know, nods and smiles. He thinks it's really sweet
- 6:39Speaker 9: of me to care so much about her.
- 6:42Speaker 8: But that's not like the like the truth.
- 6:46Speaker 1: O God, that's not the truth. What's the truth?
- 6:52Speaker 10: Okay?
- 6:52Speaker 8: So the real reason is because I don't want my
- 6:56Speaker 8: ex to know or at least not yet.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Why X.
- 7:02Speaker 5: People I know.
- 7:08Speaker 9: But the thing is my ex is really fragile.
- 7:13Speaker 8: My fiance does not know that. He doesn't know how
- 7:17Speaker 8: like bad his anxiety and like.
- 7:20Speaker 9: Episodes can get. And we haven't spoken in over a year,
- 7:26Speaker 9: but any small change in his world which is send
- 7:31Speaker 9: him like completely spiraling.
- 7:34Speaker 3: So you're afraid if he finds this out obviously he
- 7:37Speaker 3: sees it online or something, that it's gonna trigger him
- 7:39Speaker 3: into a meltdown, like you.
- 7:42Speaker 8: Know, like I'm smiling, I've got this ring, I have
- 7:46Speaker 8: this new life, like it could just completely like send
- 7:50Speaker 8: him into a spiral, Like.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Yeah, do you love him still? Like I mean not romantically,
- 7:55Speaker 3: but you obviously have a love for him.
- 7:57Speaker 9: I mean I don't love him any or not like
- 8:00Speaker 9: you know, like that, but I definitely like feel like
- 8:04Speaker 9: responsible in some strange I don't know, leftover way.
- 8:11Speaker 4: How long can't you feel that?
- 8:12Speaker 3: I mean that's a good point, though you can't you
- 8:14Speaker 3: can't do this forever. I mean, you should be able
- 8:16Speaker 3: to enjoy your life. And I do feel bad for f
- 8:18Speaker 3: him because obviously he's dealing with some mental struggles. But
- 8:20Speaker 3: you can't, you know, hold your happiness back because of
- 8:23Speaker 3: this or or is this the right thing to do?
- 8:26Speaker 3: I don't you know, I don't know's it's something to
- 8:28Speaker 3: think about.
- 8:28Speaker 8: I really don't like.
- 8:30Speaker 9: I really don't know.
- 8:33Speaker 8: I'm just like scrambling. It feels like I can't keep
- 8:37Speaker 8: holding this off.
- 8:38Speaker 3: I think the way you should have done this if
- 8:40Speaker 3: you were really concerned, and I'm not saying that, it
- 8:42Speaker 3: would have went well, Like what about taking your now
- 8:45Speaker 3: fiance to the side and being like, Hey, this is
- 8:47Speaker 3: gonna sound crazy, but I'm not going to post this
- 8:50Speaker 3: right away because my ex is a he's got some
- 8:53Speaker 3: mental issues and this might send him over the edge.
- 8:56Speaker 3: If the guy you're marrying has a big heart, he's
- 8:58Speaker 3: gonna go.
- 8:59Speaker 1: God know though, because now that I say that, it's.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Like it feels disrespectful. This is his moment too.
- 9:05Speaker 1: His moment.
- 9:06Speaker 3: It's is, yeah, it is, but it's I know, I know,
- 9:11Speaker 3: I know you're right. I don't think I could do it.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I get why you would not say anything about it,
- 9:15Speaker 3: because it does feel really weird to say out loud.
- 9:18Speaker 1: But you do have a big heart.
- 9:20Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But you got to make sure.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but you've got to make sure you're not going
- 9:27Speaker 3: to hurt your you're the guy you're going to marry
- 9:29Speaker 3: and spend the rest of your life with me.
- 9:30Speaker 4: He's your priority.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Right At some point, and this is a tough thing
- 9:34Speaker 3: to say out loud, at what point is an ex's
- 9:36Speaker 3: mental health issues still your problem?
- 9:39Speaker 6: Right? Oh?
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Mean we have to take responsibility for our own mental health,
- 9:43Speaker 5: as hard as that is. Some people never do and
- 9:47Speaker 5: you know that. But at the same time, and you.
- 9:50Speaker 3: You end up being for people like that that always wait,
- 9:53Speaker 3: and you know they try to help someone, and that
- 9:55Speaker 3: the person doesn't help themselves. You can get sucked in
- 9:57Speaker 3: and be a victim too of their mental health issues.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And there's at some point you got to separate it.
- 10:03Speaker 5: And because this could give mental health problems to your fiance.
- 10:07Speaker 9: I think you're right.
- 10:08Speaker 8: It's just going to keep.
- 10:09Speaker 4: It's going to get to the point where like.
- 10:10Speaker 9: What am I not going to post my wedding?
- 10:13Speaker 10: Sure?
- 10:13Speaker 1: No, I can't do that. You got to enjoy your life.
- 10:18Speaker 3: This is a special moment, be happy, and if you
- 10:20Speaker 3: have the urge to want to share it with your friends.
- 10:23Speaker 1: And your people and your world, then you should. You should.
- 10:28Speaker 8: Yeah, you're right.
- 10:29Speaker 9: I think when you were like, oh.
- 10:31Speaker 8: You know how long are you responsible for someone's mental
- 10:34Speaker 8: health like that is?
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's real.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Well, good luck and I wish you nothing but the
- 10:38Speaker 3: best and congratulations. Live in the moment and be happy.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Let's think about that.
- 10:44Speaker 9: I would love to celebrate it.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you celebrate it. Okay, I've been engaged three times.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I've celebrated the time.
- 10:52Speaker 1: You know what I mean. Let's go all right, good
- 10:56Speaker 1: luck with everything. Okay, thank you so much. You're welcome,
- 10:59Speaker 1: dirty little secret. I know. I mean, you've got a
- 11:01Speaker 1: big heart. But at some point, right, what are you
- 11:03Speaker 1: gonna do? Yeah, there's only so much you can do
- 11:05Speaker 1: for sure. If somebody doesn't want to help themselves, you
- 11:07Speaker 1: got to enjoy your own.
- 11:08Speaker 7: Life's tough stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid
- 11:12Speaker 7: in the Morning only on.
- 11:14Speaker 4: The New Mix one two.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Point nine on Friday, The one and only Cannas Lopez
- 11:18Speaker 3: has Everything you need to know Cannas What's up? Well.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Disney has announced it will soon license it's intellectual property
- 11:24Speaker 5: to open AI. Disney made a one billion dollar investment
- 11:28Speaker 5: in Open Ai. They are also, of course, the makers
- 11:31Speaker 5: of Chat GPT, but.
- 11:33Speaker 4: They're going to allow two hundred of their.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Characters, including Marvels, Star Wars, and Pixar to appear and
- 11:38Speaker 5: user prompted AI clips on the Sora app.
- 11:41Speaker 4: That's open AIS app.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Everyone seems to be using that app and I just
- 11:45Speaker 5: can't get down with it.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Did you make videos on their yet?
- 11:48Speaker 3: I mean I messed around with it. It's interesting, but
- 11:51Speaker 3: it's also very scary. How good it is? Yeah, remember
- 11:54Speaker 3: I showed you the one of me walking into the
- 11:56Speaker 3: house eating all the deviled eggs out.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Thank Yes, that was the Sora app.
- 12:00Speaker 3: It was AI and it was Sora And it's crazy.
- 12:02Speaker 3: What did you see the new thing people are doing? What?
- 12:05Speaker 3: So the new thing like pranksters on YouTube are doing
- 12:08Speaker 3: are taking a quick picture of you, you know, like
- 12:10Speaker 3: in a sore or something, you're with your wife or whatever. Yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 3: and then they go create a video of you in
- 12:15Speaker 3: another aisle where you kiss a woman what a stranger
- 12:20Speaker 3: And they go up to the couple and they're like, hey,
- 12:23Speaker 3: I just should let you know your husband's doing this.
- 12:26Speaker 3: What And the wife is like, wait a minute, that
- 12:29Speaker 3: that's you today, right, And the guys like, I didn't
- 12:32Speaker 3: do that, but it looks so real. This is where
- 12:35Speaker 3: AI just one of the many reasons why AI is terrifying.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 12:40Speaker 5: So you want me to believe my husband's on the
- 12:41Speaker 5: Cereal aisle with another.
- 12:42Speaker 3: One right now exactly, And the guys like, I did
- 12:45Speaker 3: not No, I did not do that.
- 12:47Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 12:48Speaker 5: Right?
- 12:48Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:49Speaker 5: This is gonna get a lot of people in trouble.
- 12:51Speaker 4: It is a lot of people.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Well, this three year agreement only covers animated or illustrated
- 12:55Speaker 5: Disney images, meeting the faces and voices of Disney's human
- 12:59Speaker 5: talent cannot be used.
- 13:01Speaker 4: A source told The Wall.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Street Journal that OpenAI will pay Disney for using its
- 13:05Speaker 5: characters and have promised to protect them from any non
- 13:08Speaker 5: kid friendly use, but a selection of Sora videos made
- 13:12Speaker 5: by its users will also then appear on Disney Plus,
- 13:15Speaker 5: which of course.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Lets them capitalize on this content.
- 13:18Speaker 5: So''ll have short form stuff on there that's made with
- 13:21Speaker 5: this stuff. But you know, animators are going to have
- 13:23Speaker 5: issues with this for sure, because they deserve to be
- 13:25Speaker 5: compensated for this too.
- 13:26Speaker 4: They don't have rights to these Disney.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Characters, but still this is their work too, so I'm
- 13:32Speaker 5: sure there'll be more to come on this situation.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Guys.
- 13:35Speaker 5: It is now or never for the cowboys the Vikings
- 13:37Speaker 5: are in town Sunday, so we are six six and one.
- 13:41Speaker 4: They are five and eight. I do have an update
- 13:44Speaker 4: though on CD LAMB for you. He is likely to clear.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Concussion protocol today after that hit he took on the
- 13:50Speaker 5: field against the Lions, but they did ease him back
- 13:53Speaker 5: into practice already Wednesday.
- 13:55Speaker 4: As of yesterday, he's back to practicing fully.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Which makes it pretty likely that he's gonna play Sunday night.
- 14:02Speaker 5: He said he's not gonna let the fear of what
- 14:03Speaker 5: happened to get in his way. He says, sometimes they
- 14:06Speaker 5: do need to protect me from me.
- 14:08Speaker 4: But that was his third known concussion on the field.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I didn't realize he had had so many headed injurios.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's scary, especially in that particular hit, because when
- 14:16Speaker 3: he goes down and hits his head. Yeah, you see
- 14:19Speaker 3: his hands straightened out and kind of go up in
- 14:21Speaker 3: the air and out of control.
- 14:22Speaker 1: And that's it. That tends to be where when there's
- 14:25Speaker 1: brain trauma.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Yeah, that freaks me out. I can't watch that video.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I know it freaks me out too.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Yeah, and he was practicing with that what's the guardian
- 14:32Speaker 5: or whatever that Yeah, Yeah, that puffy extra helmet situation.
- 14:36Speaker 5: I'm like, whatever it takes, if you gotta wear that.
- 14:38Speaker 4: It looks crazy, but you do you.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:40Speaker 5: But Cowboys of course kick off the Sunday night is
- 14:43Speaker 5: seven twenty. Speaking of football, Kelly Clarkson is going to
- 14:47Speaker 5: headline Netflix's pregame show before the NFL doubleheader on Christmas.
- 14:52Speaker 5: She's performing Underneath the Tree on the show that kicks
- 14:55Speaker 5: off at ten am, followed by of course the Cowboys
- 14:58Speaker 5: Commander's game and then the other game. But it's good
- 15:00Speaker 5: to see her back in action. You know, she's had
- 15:02Speaker 5: a rough, rough year. I know she was out ice
- 15:04Speaker 5: skating at thirty Rock there in New York City with
- 15:07Speaker 5: her kids recently, so you know she's starting to get
- 15:11Speaker 5: back to normal after her traumatic summer. But yeah, looking
- 15:15Speaker 5: forward to seeing her on Christmas Day.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I'm Kanda Slopez. Those are your Texas top story.
- 15:22Speaker 3: All right. He's done for Kenni's Court and gets settled
- 15:26Speaker 3: here with Billy the Kid in the morning. Oh yes,
- 15:29Speaker 3: on mixed one or two point nine all rise for
- 15:30Speaker 3: the Honorable Judge Canna Lopez. I was in a very
- 15:33Speaker 3: special site yesterday, a sacred site because I was in Mesquite.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yes, I was I was.
- 15:38Speaker 3: I was out there saying my friends at Towny's Ford,
- 15:41Speaker 3: shout out to Townies Ford and friend Catherine and Kurt
- 15:43Speaker 3: the big boss man out there, what's up.
- 15:45Speaker 1: They gave me olive garden. They did what they were
- 15:48Speaker 1: having like olive garden. I went out there and I
- 15:50Speaker 1: ate some olive garden.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Good for you.
- 15:53Speaker 1: No, I didn't bring home any breadsticks for Pooh or can.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Listen, ouch, I'll come to Mesquite for Townies for in
- 16:01Speaker 3: prolive garden.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, powerful combo really will.
- 16:04Speaker 3: But in that time, I drove by a very sacred
- 16:08Speaker 3: site where Cannis Lopez was born under a tree in
- 16:12Speaker 3: the Towny Small parking lot.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And it was a beautiful site. Yes, it was.
- 16:17Speaker 4: This story later.
- 16:18Speaker 3: It was a beautiful little Mesquite manger. Okay, baby Lopez
- 16:22Speaker 3: was just out of nowhere.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yeh. She was just showed up right under the Towny
- 16:25Speaker 1: Small sign. It was a miracle, very close.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Yeah, So it was a sacred You could see it
- 16:29Speaker 3: on my story at Billy on the Radio. At Billy
- 16:32Speaker 3: on the Radio, I didn't even tell you I was
- 16:33Speaker 3: out there either, I know. Either way, All right, let's
- 16:36Speaker 3: get court in session. Come, let's get serious. Okay, all right,
- 16:38Speaker 3: if you've got a problem you want Canas to solve
- 16:40Speaker 3: at canisan Air on Instagram at candasan Air Cannas. My
- 16:43Speaker 3: husband has never been the best at giving presents, but
- 16:47Speaker 3: I never let him know. I'm disappointed because he's good
- 16:50Speaker 3: to me in so many other ways. I mean, let's
- 16:53Speaker 3: be real, guys, some guys suck at giving presents. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 3: some of them are in this room, Billy. But I'm
- 17:00Speaker 3: a good gift giver. You are, yeah, find out coming
- 17:03Speaker 3: out because we're giving gifts to each other on the air.
- 17:05Speaker 3: All right, But this year, I'm not sure I can
- 17:08Speaker 3: just grin and bear it. While cleaning the house, I
- 17:11Speaker 3: accidentally came across my gift where he had hidden it.
- 17:15Speaker 3: And it's really bad, and it shows he puts absolutely
- 17:20Speaker 3: no thought into it. I'm trying to figure out what
- 17:23Speaker 3: to do, since he still has time to return it
- 17:26Speaker 3: and get a better gift. Should I tell him outright
- 17:32Speaker 3: that I saw it and that I don't like it,
- 17:34Speaker 3: or maybe drop a few hints so he gets a clue.
- 17:38Speaker 1: What do you think? Oh, she doesn't tell us what
- 17:40Speaker 1: it is?
- 17:40Speaker 6: Wow?
- 17:41Speaker 1: I know, a man, Oh, I know, I want to.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Know what it was so bad. Okay, what do you
- 17:45Speaker 3: do in this situation? So you found your Christmas gift
- 17:49Speaker 3: you don't like it? Yeah, do you say something?
- 17:52Speaker 1: Do you hint? I mean you ladies to me, you
- 17:55Speaker 1: should definitely hit it what you want.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 5: No, I think you need to go on a hint
- 17:59Speaker 5: protocol from now on, starting December. First, challenge yourself to
- 18:03Speaker 5: drop a new hint every day. Casually leave your laptop
- 18:07Speaker 5: open with certain things showing.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Maybe get close to his phone every.
- 18:10Speaker 5: Day and say keywords like spa gift card, kender Scott, wait,
- 18:14Speaker 5: your mess, whatever, your thing, you know. Okay, that way
- 18:18Speaker 5: it starts popping up on his phone and this guy goes, huh.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Now I have a feeling your husband, Eric is a
- 18:22Speaker 3: good gift giver, really good gift sho So he is,
- 18:25Speaker 3: he's perfect and everything.
- 18:26Speaker 4: No, he pays attention. That's he pays attention.
- 18:29Speaker 5: He remembers things, and he's clear about you know what
- 18:33Speaker 5: he's what he's playing.
- 18:34Speaker 1: You know, you don't have to drop hints with him.
- 18:36Speaker 3: No.
- 18:36Speaker 5: I mean sometimes he'll ask me, you know, and and
- 18:39Speaker 5: then I'll tell him or whatever.
- 18:41Speaker 4: But he's got a pretty good gauge.
- 18:42Speaker 5: He'll think of something that I talked about three months
- 18:45Speaker 5: ago that I never bought myself, or that I mentioned
- 18:47Speaker 5: one time and be like, well, I know you mentioned
- 18:49Speaker 5: that a while back, and be like, I barely remember
- 18:52Speaker 5: mentioning that.
- 18:53Speaker 4: I love it.
- 18:54Speaker 1: God, man, I need an Eric in my life.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you do.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I really do.
- 18:58Speaker 3: But I will say that some people, some guys, most
- 19:00Speaker 3: guys are really bad at it. I was just thinking
- 19:02Speaker 3: about something so funny I heard yesterday. You know our
- 19:04Speaker 3: friend who does traffic for us Junior. Yeah, his wife Sherry,
- 19:08Speaker 3: Oh my, do you know what she does sometimes to him?
- 19:11Speaker 3: She hands him a gift that she wants for Christmas
- 19:14Speaker 3: that she ordered and says, a rappit put under the tree.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Hey there's an option.
- 19:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I was laughing so hard. I was like, are you
- 19:23Speaker 3: that bad of a gift giver? He's like, yeah, I
- 19:25Speaker 3: really am.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Wow.
- 19:27Speaker 5: I mean the good news is for this girl, she
- 19:29Speaker 5: found the thing, and so she has an opportunity to
- 19:31Speaker 5: bring it up.
- 19:32Speaker 4: You know, hey, I found this.
- 19:33Speaker 1: How do you know that you're not going to bring
- 19:34Speaker 1: it up?
- 19:35Speaker 3: So you found it, you should just drop gifts it
- 19:36Speaker 3: what you want and if he doesn't get it at
- 19:38Speaker 3: that point, it's his fault, and you know what, you
- 19:40Speaker 3: take his credit card or your credit card, whoever, however
- 19:42Speaker 3: you do the money and.
- 19:43Speaker 1: You go get it yourself. Yeah that's what you do.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean you could.
- 19:47Speaker 5: It sounds like she's been dealing with this for years,
- 19:49Speaker 5: so she's just fed up, you know, And I get that.
- 19:52Speaker 4: You know, it's not all about presence.
- 19:54Speaker 5: But that's a little fun for all of us this
- 19:57Speaker 5: holiday season.
- 19:58Speaker 3: I had an ext girlfriend who was so bad at
- 20:00Speaker 3: a given gifts. This was years ago, but she was awful.
- 20:03Speaker 3: I mean she really was to the point where I
- 20:05Speaker 3: remember one year was my birthday and she goes, oh
- 20:07Speaker 3: my god, Oh my god. I got home from work
- 20:08Speaker 3: and she goes, oh my god, I'll be right back.
- 20:10Speaker 3: And I was like, oh, okay, because I thought she forgot.
- 20:13Speaker 3: She came back to the house with a foot locker
- 20:16Speaker 3: bag with shoes that didn't fit O, a scratch piece
- 20:21Speaker 3: of paper.
- 20:22Speaker 4: I can't wait to hear who this was folded and
- 20:25Speaker 4: half scratch paper.
- 20:27Speaker 3: And made a card and said happy Birthday. I didn't forget,
- 20:30Speaker 3: but you're running through my mind all day. Okay, Wall,
- 20:35Speaker 3: here's some shoes.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Wall that would have been cute if it had been
- 20:38Speaker 5: thought out properly.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and I was like, oh, cool, they're not my size.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Oh what do.
- 20:43Speaker 3: You want me to do with them? You could take
- 20:45Speaker 3: them back and get something else? Okay, And you know what,
- 20:47Speaker 3: matter of fact, I think she bought it with my card.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Wow, give yoka. I won't name names, but she didn't
- 20:54Speaker 1: live in this state. Oh.
- 20:56Speaker 3: She was north of the Red River, Okay, a place
- 20:59Speaker 3: where I just I don't know. I don't like to
- 21:01Speaker 3: venture anymore. No, either way. Yeah, I was like, really
- 21:05Speaker 3: that sucked. That sucked because I'm a good gift giver.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I got her good things.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm sure you did. Why is this guy such
- 21:11Speaker 5: a bad gift giver?
- 21:12Speaker 3: Well, that's the question. It doesn't matter though he is.
- 21:15Speaker 3: She found the gift, she doesn't know what to do.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Draw pints, tell him to take it back out right?
- 21:20Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:20Speaker 1: What does she do? Candice? I know there's a verdict here.
- 21:22Speaker 4: There is.
- 21:23Speaker 5: I mean, you're guilty right now with being a wishless
- 21:26Speaker 5: Wendy wish list if you have to make an Amazon
- 21:30Speaker 5: list for him, he's obviously not good at this and
- 21:33Speaker 5: you got to help him out.
- 21:34Speaker 1: You you were calling her guilty.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Yeah, she's guilty.
- 21:37Speaker 5: Oh, myess because only because she has to take this
- 21:40Speaker 5: matter into her own hands, and if she wants to
- 21:42Speaker 5: enjoy the gifts that he's getting her, she needs to
- 21:44Speaker 5: tell him straight up what to get.
- 21:46Speaker 1: He's not a bad gift giver. Guilty.
- 21:48Speaker 5: We knew that He's already guilty of that.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Okay, So he's guilty of that for sure. This is
- 21:52Speaker 3: the only court in the world where everyone's guilty.
- 21:54Speaker 5: I know.
- 21:54Speaker 1: It's let us know what you think.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Here's today's hot take, very serious hot take today. It
- 22:05Speaker 3: makes one or two point nine A Bailly the Kid,
- 22:07Speaker 3: Candae Lopez, producer food, thank you for having a salm
- 22:09Speaker 3: this morning. This is something that's taking the studio and
- 22:12Speaker 3: split it in two. Because usually I'm the grumpy one
- 22:15Speaker 3: in this studio, Okay, and I like that, Telly. Let's fine.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Usually I'm the one that's like, I hate this.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I hate that. Matter of fact, I don't like that.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm like that. I hate that. I'm like that.
- 22:23Speaker 3: But okay, let me ask you this Christmas lights on cars. Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 3: how do we feel about it? Because we were just
- 22:32Speaker 3: talking about off the air, and you know what I'm
- 22:34Speaker 3: talking about. You know, it's kind of happened in the
- 22:36Speaker 3: last couple of years where the Christmas lights are all
- 22:38Speaker 3: over the car, I mean from top to bottom, wrapped
- 22:42Speaker 3: around just I meet all.
- 22:44Speaker 1: It looks like a tree rolling down the toll way.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I love to see it. Do I think
- 22:49Speaker 5: it's distracting?
- 22:50Speaker 4: Absolutely?
- 22:51Speaker 1: Oh, Candice, don't be a mom about it.
- 22:54Speaker 6: No.
- 22:54Speaker 5: I think they're very cool and I love to see them,
- 22:57Speaker 5: like in the parades and all that stuff. But for
- 22:59Speaker 5: the people that can't drive and enjoy the lights, that's
- 23:02Speaker 5: where I worry.
- 23:03Speaker 4: What who can't handle it?
- 23:06Speaker 1: So do you like them or not?
- 23:07Speaker 4: I do like them?
- 23:08Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, then why can't you just leave it at that?
- 23:11Speaker 3: Why do you have to be like, well, I just
- 23:12Speaker 3: think that sometimes it's distracting.
- 23:14Speaker 1: It's a voice of caution. Okay.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I think they're awesome. I haven't put them on my car.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I haven't put them on mine, but I think they're great.
- 23:20Speaker 3: When I see them, I get excited. I'm like, oh,
- 23:22Speaker 3: look at that.
- 23:22Speaker 1: That's so cool looking.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it looks very cool.
- 23:24Speaker 5: I like the jeeps too that have the spare tire
- 23:26Speaker 5: on the back and they like that up and garland
- 23:29Speaker 5: on it.
- 23:30Speaker 3: But look at the Grinch over here. I'm sorry, I'll
- 23:32Speaker 3: be a grinch. I'll be a Brench, a black grinch. Okay,
- 23:38Speaker 3: if I see one more Tesla wrapped up.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I can't stand. Why are you so lights are for
- 23:47Speaker 1: the house, decorate your yard, your house, the tree.
- 23:50Speaker 3: You don't see a car on the tollway all lit
- 23:52Speaker 3: up and go wow, that's kind of cool, little I
- 23:54Speaker 3: don't What about the jeeps then with the just the
- 23:56Speaker 3: lights on the back.
- 23:56Speaker 1: No, I can't stand. What about okay, what about the
- 23:59Speaker 1: antler in a car? No? I really can't stay in that.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Red nose.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Someone broke down yesterday though, And there's nothing sadder than
- 24:10Speaker 5: seeing a car with antlers broke down, abandoned on the
- 24:13Speaker 5: side of the road.
- 24:14Speaker 7: See God, don't like ugly. You should you should have
- 24:16Speaker 7: left and left them for your.
- 24:18Speaker 1: House in your car. I can't stand there. That was
- 24:22Speaker 1: antlers got too much time on you. Well, because it.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Is a talk right now about, you know, police, whether
- 24:27Speaker 3: they should enforce it, because I don't know if it's
- 24:28Speaker 3: legal or not to put these lights all.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Over your car.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I don't think it is.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I don't know, but some people are actually mad about
- 24:33Speaker 3: it to the point where they're trying to get their
- 24:34Speaker 3: local police departments to enforce, like basically saying if they're
- 24:38Speaker 3: red and blue, then they shouldn't be on a car
- 24:40Speaker 3: because you're not technically supposed to have any red or
- 24:43Speaker 3: blue lights on your car because they are saved for
- 24:45Speaker 3: emergency vehicles. And of course a lot of Christmas lights
- 24:48Speaker 3: have red and blue lights, so that would be like, oh, okay,
- 24:52Speaker 3: so if you're a cop, call us and let us know,
- 24:53Speaker 3: because I don't know if it's legal or not. I've
- 24:55Speaker 3: never seen anybody get pulled over for it.
- 24:57Speaker 5: No, me neither, But I haven't seen enough of them
- 24:59Speaker 5: to even and have thought that should be a thing.
- 25:01Speaker 1: I see a lot, really, oh a lot of them
- 25:04Speaker 1: this year.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Okay.
- 25:05Speaker 5: We had one on our street last year that was
- 25:07Speaker 5: like a charger or something that was lit up and
- 25:09Speaker 5: he was doing donuts, and our neighbors of state troopers,
- 25:11Speaker 5: so he whipped out real quick and it was like,
- 25:12Speaker 5: huh huh.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Oh, really, we're not doing that.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Yeah, why is it always the chargers? Yeah? Always?
- 25:17Speaker 7: Just imagine getting pulled over and you just keep going
- 25:20Speaker 7: because you think it's some fool who got his lights
- 25:22Speaker 7: rushed around his car.
- 25:23Speaker 3: If you are that blind, if you're that blind and
- 25:26Speaker 3: you can't figure out.
- 25:27Speaker 7: I'm sorry, officer was using for real?
- 25:29Speaker 3: No, no, no, do you mean to tell me you can't
- 25:31Speaker 3: tell the difference between the cop lights and Christmas lights
- 25:34Speaker 3: on the car?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Oh, I know, get out of here. I know the signs,
- 25:37Speaker 1: trust me. What about this?
- 25:38Speaker 3: So?
- 25:38Speaker 1: What about the elf legs? Have you seen the ol
- 25:40Speaker 1: flegs hanging.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Out the back? Yes, okay, I have to see those.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Those are funny.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Okay, good, thank you? Stop Pooh, stop being so grinchy.
- 25:50Speaker 4: All right, I think it's fun. I like to see
- 25:52Speaker 4: lights on everything.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Light yourself up, you know what I mean. I love
- 25:55Speaker 5: it when people have them Christmas necklaces. It look like
- 25:58Speaker 5: Christmas lights.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Like maybe that's what we should do next week. We
- 26:01Speaker 3: walked to the fair and corny dog outfits. What if
- 26:04Speaker 3: Pooh and I dresses Christmas trees? I don't know where
- 26:08Speaker 3: we walk in poo to the gallery that's literally across
- 26:13Speaker 3: the street. I love this time of the year, don't
- 26:16Speaker 3: get me wrong. Yeah, but you know what, for some
- 26:19Speaker 3: people though, it's a tough time because it's a stressful
- 26:22Speaker 3: time of year. There's a lot of joy, there's a
- 26:24Speaker 3: lot of you know, happiness, But sometimes people just the
- 26:27Speaker 3: holidays trigger things and people. Yeah there's also you know,
- 26:31Speaker 3: you gotta worry about things like you know, how to
- 26:33Speaker 3: come up with money when times are already tough. And
- 26:36Speaker 3: that's why I'm just I'm so happy to work with
- 26:38Speaker 3: Amy weather Wright and Wanting hundred truck Wreck. And this
- 26:40Speaker 3: is a kind of a relationship that happened because we
- 26:43Speaker 3: thought about doing great things and going, you know what,
- 26:46Speaker 3: how about we give back? And she does so many
- 26:48Speaker 3: awesome things, and Wanting hundred truck Wreck does so many
- 26:51Speaker 3: great things, whether it's given you know, turkeys and meals
- 26:54Speaker 3: to people, whether it's given coats to kids. It's it's
- 26:58Speaker 3: bigger than just we're doing business.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, they.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Really genuinely give back and it means it means the
- 27:05Speaker 3: world to Dallas, to for worth of every community she
- 27:08Speaker 3: goes to and Amy, it's got to be cool to
- 27:11Speaker 3: do that. So that's why we're doing holiday hookup right
- 27:13Speaker 3: now and giving away some money.
- 27:14Speaker 1: What a good feeling though, you know, Yeah.
- 27:16Speaker 6: It's super fun stuff. We get to touch a lot
- 27:19Speaker 6: of lives and I understand we've got Kayla with us
- 27:22Speaker 6: today and she could use a little holiday hookup this season,
- 27:25Speaker 6: Yes she.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Could, and Kayla's on the phone right now. Good morning, Kayla.
- 27:29Speaker 3: How are you?
- 27:30Speaker 6: I'm good?
- 27:30Speaker 1: How are you good? Say hi to Amy with or
- 27:32Speaker 1: right she's on the phone with us.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Hi.
- 27:34Speaker 6: Hey, hey, hey, Kayla. We hear that a little holiday
- 27:38Speaker 6: hookup would sure make a difference for you and your
- 27:40Speaker 6: family if you got that from one eight hundred truck.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 27:43Speaker 6: You're a single mom and you've got a bunch of
- 27:46Speaker 6: rent and bills. Yes, it sounds like it's been a
- 27:49Speaker 6: lot because you've been helping take care.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Of your mom.
- 27:52Speaker 6: She had a big time back surgery and you've just
- 27:55Speaker 6: been a fighting the fight and trying to take care
- 27:57Speaker 6: of everybody. What are you behind right now on your
- 28:00Speaker 6: bills or what do you need in terms of help
- 28:02Speaker 6: with all the rent and bills so you can have
- 28:04Speaker 6: a great Christmas.
- 28:06Speaker 10: Yes, she had a major back surgery a few weeks ago,
- 28:11Speaker 10: so she had to move in with me, and then
- 28:14Speaker 10: I have my five year old son with me, so
- 28:16Speaker 10: it's been me and him. So I'm currently behind well
- 28:21Speaker 10: I don't know how gonn to pay rent, and then
- 28:23Speaker 10: a little behind on electric and then just trying to
- 28:26Speaker 10: figure out Christmas on top of that.
