- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. Hello everyone, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It's Ashley. Oh it's Jared. I know this is a
- 0:14Speaker 1: little different sounding voice. This is Mr Ashley I if
- 0:18Speaker 1: anybody's keeping track. So happy to have Jared here today.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Of Ben's flight was canceled, so he's in the midst
- 0:24Speaker 1: of a hectic travel day, and I thought it would
- 0:27Speaker 1: be It was actually perfect timing because Jared and my
- 0:30Speaker 1: first episode of Bachelor in Paradise ends ends, starts tonight.
- 0:36Speaker 1: You have a very radio voice right now going on.
- 0:39Speaker 1: How do you feel about that? It's very self spoken.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Do you think that I should talk like this in
- 0:42Speaker 1: real life? No? Maybe a little bit. Yeah. I like
- 0:45Speaker 1: a nunciate more. No, well you do. I'm not trying
- 0:49Speaker 1: to make you feel bad. I like your regular voice too. Really,
- 0:52Speaker 1: I don't like my regular voice much, prefer my my
- 0:55Speaker 1: microphone voice. Well, anyway, let's talk about Paradise. What happened? Okay,
- 0:59Speaker 1: So I mean you know what happened last night? I
- 1:01Speaker 1: do know what happened last night. That was a rhetorical question. Okay, Well,
- 1:05Speaker 1: well I don't want to talk about last night yet.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I want to preview what's to come with us and
- 1:10Speaker 1: like why we even have multiple episodes, so regale people
- 1:13Speaker 1: with um the reason we came word of the day
- 1:17Speaker 1: regale well as uh, most of you maybe know if
- 1:21Speaker 1: you follow Ashley and My life. We start a business,
- 1:25Speaker 1: had a baby, move twice, Lots been going on. Our
- 1:28Speaker 1: relationship has definitely taken a back That seems dark, baby,
- 1:33Speaker 1: it's not dark. But the fact of the matter is
- 1:36Speaker 1: we're still very much in love and happy. Let's also
- 1:39Speaker 1: not beat around the bush. We have been very stressed.
- 1:44Speaker 1: There's been a lot on our plates. I'm working constantly,
- 1:47Speaker 1: you know, quality time that's basically a zero quality. I
- 1:51Speaker 1: would also phrase that as our relationship has taken back
- 1:55Speaker 1: step because I was focused back see excuse me, because
- 1:58Speaker 1: our focus is so much fully so about Dawson, about Audrey's.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We've moved. You moved to Rhode Island, which has been
- 2:06Speaker 1: a big change for you. So there's been a lot
- 2:09Speaker 1: going on. We needed a break, and we had the opportunity, thankfully,
- 2:14Speaker 1: which was such a surprise to us both that they
- 2:19Speaker 1: wanted us to come to Paradise and give us exactly that,
- 2:22Speaker 1: some time to ourselves, some time to really go on
- 2:25Speaker 1: a date, enjoy each other's company, and really just start
- 2:28Speaker 1: dating each other once again. But also they asked us
- 2:31Speaker 1: that's well, that's what I mean. Of course, they don't
- 2:35Speaker 1: say no. To our surprise, they asked if we wanted
- 2:38Speaker 1: to go to Paradise, and we're scared. We were like,
- 2:41Speaker 1: oh my god, what are they going to do to us?
- 2:43Speaker 1: And then Jared was like, I wouldn't do anything to us,
- 2:46Speaker 1: and we've been a couple for so long, and like
- 2:48Speaker 1: we're one of the few standing franchise couples. Yeah, they
- 2:52Speaker 1: want their couples. However, ever many couples they have left,
- 2:55Speaker 1: they want them to stay together. We're going to bring
- 2:58Speaker 1: other couples there and they're gonna and crazy, crazy things
- 3:02Speaker 1: are gonna go down. Anyway, that didn't happen with spoiler alert,
- 3:05Speaker 1: we actually just have a great time. So tonight you'll
- 3:07Speaker 1: see us. We walk in, We give a little advice
- 3:10Speaker 1: along the way. It wasn't the point of us being there,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but the cast seemed to think that we were like
- 3:15Speaker 1: a nice neutral space. I think we're knowledgeable within the
- 3:19Speaker 1: Bachelor world, so I don't think asking about our opinion
- 3:22Speaker 1: on things was the worst idea. Yeah, not to you know,
- 3:25Speaker 1: humble Praig. I watched tonight's episode and I'll just say,
- 3:29Speaker 1: you know, it's unfortunate. There's an unfortunate part that has
- 3:32Speaker 1: left out of one of our first conversations, Um, that
- 3:37Speaker 1: that happened when we first got to Paradise. I've talked
- 3:40Speaker 1: to the girls and just got the scoop on what's
- 3:43Speaker 1: going on. Jared talked to the guys and they only
- 3:46Speaker 1: showed my conversation with the girls, so telling the moment
- 3:51Speaker 1: they missed well because I was telling all the guys
- 3:53Speaker 1: recapping exactly how Ashley and I got together, which included
- 3:57Speaker 1: me giving a kiss to Ashley when she Winter Games,
- 4:00Speaker 1: which was like a gray area. But we've already talked
- 4:04Speaker 1: about this publicly, and so I was telling the story
- 4:06Speaker 1: about how I felt the need to confess my feelings
- 4:08Speaker 1: and I was the one who made moves and I know,
- 4:10Speaker 1: even though made like technically it was the wrong thing,
- 4:12Speaker 1: like I knew in my heart it was the right thing.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And so I was telling this and Brandon Brandon Um
- 4:21Speaker 1: was like, yo, you kissed her at the airport. I said, yeah, man,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I needed to do what I need to do, and
- 4:25Speaker 1: he goes, that's sketch, you know that sketch man. He
- 4:29Speaker 1: said exactly that. It was such that they doesn't show
- 4:34Speaker 1: so funny. It would have been great to hear that
- 4:36Speaker 1: the only time I would want to be called sketch uh,
- 4:39Speaker 1: national television. Wasn't that circumstance. Yeah, alright, well, we're gonna
- 4:44Speaker 1: take a quick break and then we're gonna dive into
- 4:45Speaker 1: this episode. Episode to a Bachelor in Paradise season eight.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It's hilarious that we're even going to call these people couples.
- 5:04Speaker 1: But this is who is quote together at the start
- 5:08Speaker 1: of day two. Okay, start of day two is where
- 5:12Speaker 1: this this episode comes in at it it's a one
- 5:15Speaker 1: night hook up at this point, Brandon and Serene, Andrew
- 5:19Speaker 1: and Teddy Hunter and Johnny Justin and Genevieve Cheney and
- 5:25Speaker 1: Logan okay, and then the big the big thing here
- 5:31Speaker 1: is that the morning of Victoria, Yeah, Victoria f They
- 5:36Speaker 1: obviously wanted to do that. They wanted a big name.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So when that was going to really stir the pot
- 5:39Speaker 1: after night one, because we've both been down there in
- 5:41Speaker 1: that day one, there's a certain camardity you have when
- 5:44Speaker 1: you're sand one or whatever. First first and whatever they
- 5:48Speaker 1: call it, right, because you're down there together, you spent
- 5:50Speaker 1: a whole day. It's a new environement. You're like, oh
- 5:51Speaker 1: my god, we're in paradise together. It's like going to camp.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So everybody who comes in after that, it's certainly of
- 5:57Speaker 1: course you're friendly and you're wonderful, and you grow attached
- 6:00Speaker 1: me to these people, but it's just different anyhow. So
- 6:02Speaker 1: of course I knew that they wanted to throw someone like, hey,
- 6:04Speaker 1: let's let's get someone that's going to really stirs something
- 6:06Speaker 1: up immediately. And of course that's Victoria, big name, very
- 6:10Speaker 1: very sexy lady. Can you I can't believe that she
- 6:14Speaker 1: I forgot she diated crystals. I did not. That's just
- 6:17Speaker 1: like escaped my mind. Somebody brought it to this morning.
- 6:20Speaker 1: They were like, oh, Victoria, she did crystals, right, Like,
- 6:23Speaker 1: oh my god, that is correct, and I totally forgot
- 6:26Speaker 1: about it. Well, all the girls started freaking out when
- 6:29Speaker 1: they see Victoria. She pulls aside Logan and Johnny and
- 6:34Speaker 1: she picks Justin for the date. Yeah, dude, she walked
- 6:39Speaker 1: in saying that she wanted to talk to Justin. It's
- 6:42Speaker 1: hilarious to see, like, how things change in a matter
- 6:45Speaker 1: of days, you know, a matter of days, a matter
- 6:47Speaker 1: of hours. They've been on the sand for sixteen hours
- 6:50Speaker 1: at this point. Probably, Well, Genevieve is freaking out love Genevieve.
- 6:54Speaker 1: She's so cute, but she it already feels like she
- 6:58Speaker 1: and Justin are in a common in relationship, which totally relatable. Yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I'm not judging, I'm saying totally relatable. Yeah, I kind
- 7:07Speaker 1: of enjoy that you. Jared loves to see someone Jared loves.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Why why do we watch Paradise? Don't watch Paradise because
- 7:15Speaker 1: we only want to see people fall in love? Of
- 7:18Speaker 1: course not, but I feel like exactly all the nerves
- 7:20Speaker 1: that's rushing through her body when she sees Victoria. Of course,
- 7:23Speaker 1: how could you not? Because she likes Justin, I feel
- 7:25Speaker 1: bad for first of all, Genevieve is stunning, smart, intelligent.
- 7:30Speaker 1: She'll do just fine on that beach if Justin, and
- 7:33Speaker 1: if Justin doesn't give her her rose. Did you think
- 7:35Speaker 1: I was going to do just fine if I didn't
- 7:38Speaker 1: get a rose from you? Well, I wouldn't have, obviously,
- 7:41Speaker 1: because you would have gotten a rose from someone Jared. Well,
- 7:46Speaker 1: one time I did not, and then what happened. You
- 7:50Speaker 1: came right back. Yeah, But also you're like downplaying the
- 7:54Speaker 1: but you're like you're like, would you It would be
- 7:57Speaker 1: the end of your life if you didn't get a rose.
- 7:59Speaker 1: For me, it's like, actually, yeah, my spare get out
- 8:04Speaker 1: of here. Jared thinks everybody's gonna be just fine. It's
- 8:07Speaker 1: so funny because Jared, so this is what Nick, who
- 8:11Speaker 1: was what thirty seven at the time of our season,
- 8:14Speaker 1: he was always like, everybody's will be fine, They're gonna
- 8:16Speaker 1: be fine. Everybody be like, oh my god, I feel
- 8:19Speaker 1: so bad. They were eliminated. They're in there in jeopardy,
- 8:22Speaker 1: and Nick would be like, they're gonna be fine, They're
- 8:23Speaker 1: gonna be fine. And now Jared is the old guy
- 8:26Speaker 1: who's like, they're going to be fine. Well, because when
- 8:28Speaker 1: we went down there, everybody is so stressed out, and
- 8:30Speaker 1: of course you understand, of course I understand why, but
- 8:33Speaker 1: I think from someone who has, you know, gained knowledge
- 8:37Speaker 1: of the experience after the show, I wanted to go
- 8:39Speaker 1: back down there and be like, listen, don't stressed, just
- 8:42Speaker 1: have fun, enjoy it, you know. Every It's so funny
- 8:45Speaker 1: because Jill, obviously we were friends, you know before she
- 8:50Speaker 1: went down to Paradise. We hung out, and she was
- 8:52Speaker 1: very open about her fears, and she's like, I just
- 8:54Speaker 1: think I'm gonna go down there and cry all the time.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, it's gonna be wonderful. I promise you,
- 9:01Speaker 1: it's going to be great for you. And we see
- 9:03Speaker 1: that that she took advice and she didn't hold back.
- 9:07Speaker 1: She's hilarious and she's maybe the star of the show
- 9:11Speaker 1: right now, as she will should be. Even when she
- 9:12Speaker 1: impersonated the crabs. Yes, her face, the faces she makes
- 9:18Speaker 1: are fantastic, so funny. But babe, I also wanted to
- 9:21Speaker 1: kind of like tell everyone like, yeah, this is what
- 9:24Speaker 1: happens on the beach, but you guys are going to
- 9:26Speaker 1: see each other so much in her life. I just
- 9:27Speaker 1: wanted to tell them, like, from what happened with us,
- 9:30Speaker 1: it's like, if something ends here, it doesn't feel right
- 9:33Speaker 1: and it feels like it's not the end, but like,
- 9:35Speaker 1: guess what, it's probably not the not the end. You
- 9:38Speaker 1: know you'll be able to go after the you know,
- 9:40Speaker 1: see each other after the show. Uh. So, Victoria goes down.
- 9:45Speaker 1: She asked justin on the date, now, let's skip forward
- 9:49Speaker 1: to just stay with the ending of the storyline, they
- 9:51Speaker 1: come back to the beach and Justin they all said
- 9:57Speaker 1: they had a good time, right, this is a good time.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But it was not like mad Sparks anything. Did they
- 10:01Speaker 1: even kiss on that day? Guys? They did? It wasn't obviously,
- 10:04Speaker 1: it wasn't memorable because here I am questioning it. Um.
- 10:09Speaker 1: But Jenevieve feels like she doesn't want him to be confused,
- 10:13Speaker 1: which is hilarious because I had to deal with you
- 10:15Speaker 1: being confused so long. So I was like, oh, my girl,
- 10:19Speaker 1: confused is just fine, and it's so funny. I obviously
- 10:24Speaker 1: understand what Genevieve is coming from. Having said that. Is
- 10:27Speaker 1: that funny? How whenever you say having said that, it
- 10:29Speaker 1: just means the first half, the first half means nothing.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Having said that, in Justin's mind, he's like, huh, who
- 10:37Speaker 1: do I have more of a connection with the girl
- 10:39Speaker 1: I've known for eight hours or the girl I've known
- 10:42Speaker 1: for three hours? Like, it's okay to be a little confused, Yeah,
- 10:48Speaker 1: but she wants him to come home with a decision.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Come home. You just say, come home, come home? Baby?
- 10:54Speaker 1: It does it does feel like home? Well, it's very
- 10:56Speaker 1: much homes. Are they going home yet it's like glue
- 10:59Speaker 1: and home based. Okay, so if they So she sits
- 11:03Speaker 1: down with Justin and he says, I'm confused. I really
- 11:05Speaker 1: can't make a decision right now, and she goes, well,
- 11:07Speaker 1: I want you to know whether it's her or me.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'd rather be dumped or dumped quote quote after twenty
- 11:14Speaker 1: four hours, then be you know somebody that you're not
- 11:19Speaker 1: sure about. I mean, I love it because I feel it.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Of course you feel it, and I love it as
- 11:25Speaker 1: well because it's fantastic, especially fantastic TV. But I think
- 11:31Speaker 1: if I'm Justin, I think I would be like, Okay,
- 11:35Speaker 1: then I choose Victoria. If you're making me choose, it's
- 11:39Speaker 1: I've always found that if somebody is making you choose
- 11:42Speaker 1: between two people, most likely you're probably gonna go with
- 11:44Speaker 1: the other person because they're putting you in such an
- 11:46Speaker 1: uncomfortable position. You're either resenting them or you're going to
- 11:50Speaker 1: grow to resent them. Yeah, okay, So we don't know
- 11:53Speaker 1: what Justin is going to do. I'm sure we'll see
- 11:55Speaker 1: more of the storyline when we get more of the
- 11:58Speaker 1: Cocktail hour in tonight's episode. But moving on, small little
- 12:04Speaker 1: things to touch on, Kira is interested in Casey, but
- 12:09Speaker 1: Casey says, not into her. I need somebody who's marriage material.
- 12:13Speaker 1: This girl is wild, This girl is Kira is first
- 12:18Speaker 1: of all a doctor, which is insanity. Like, I'm really
- 12:22Speaker 1: concerned about her career after this. She hadn't seen the ending,
- 12:27Speaker 1: and you didn't see like the credit bay or whatever
- 12:29Speaker 1: it's called, the when they were wearing wigs. Isn't that
- 12:34Speaker 1: the credit thing? No, that wasn't Oh did they have
- 12:37Speaker 1: an extra part of it? Well? Whatever. What I'm referring
- 12:40Speaker 1: to is this scene where she's wearing a like one
- 12:44Speaker 1: piece laundry I think, you know, you know, like a
- 12:47Speaker 1: leotard thing. I know what you're talking about. Trying to
- 12:50Speaker 1: figure out what scene this was. Yeah, I know, I
- 12:52Speaker 1: just saw it today for the first time when I
- 12:53Speaker 1: was watching tonight's episode. Yeah, I'm sure. And she walks
- 12:56Speaker 1: into the boom boom room wearing lingerie by herself with
- 12:59Speaker 1: the libraider that was found in um, what's her name's luggage?
- 13:04Speaker 1: Oh Sally, Sally? I mean, hey, good for her herself
- 13:09Speaker 1: at night? Why not? She had herself a night? Okay?
- 13:11Speaker 1: And then more storyline that's just like a little something
- 13:14Speaker 1: something is Michael and Sierra. They're really hitting it off
- 13:18Speaker 1: when Daddy daddy, Daddy is so good. She's very um
- 13:23Speaker 1: understanding of everything he's going through. She's a really good
- 13:26Speaker 1: listener with him, and she's really sweet, very sweet. We
- 13:30Speaker 1: had the pleasure of getting to know um both Michael
- 13:34Speaker 1: uh and Sienna on the beach. Sierra excuse me, and yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 1: she's so sweet. Yeah. So Michael talks about how he's
- 13:42Speaker 1: just felt so guarded dating after Laura passed, and whenever
- 13:46Speaker 1: things get real, he feels like he's scared and you know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: just dips out. He's like, that's a tough situation. Yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 1: Because Sierra likes Michael but obviously is understanding of his
- 13:56Speaker 1: path goes slow. Basically, it's saying, you have to go
- 13:59Speaker 1: real slow with me. I know, but that's so hard
- 14:01Speaker 1: because in Paradise everything is sped up. So my question
- 14:04Speaker 1: for Michael, as much as I love him and I'm
- 14:06Speaker 1: so glad he's back on my TV, maybe is Paradise
- 14:09Speaker 1: the correct format for him to be dating in right now?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Possibly not, we'll see. But watching him is just like
- 14:20Speaker 1: Michael A is a breath refreshing Really, It's just that guy.
- 14:24Speaker 1: It's just like when he was on Katie season. I
- 14:27Speaker 1: remember always saying I'm a little dazed out when Michael
- 14:30Speaker 1: A is on screen, But when Michael A comes on screen,
- 14:33Speaker 1: he's like so commanding. It was a gentle way he's
- 14:37Speaker 1: commanding because he's very much a lead. He's like, Um,
- 14:41Speaker 1: you feel like secure, Like that's a secure like that
- 14:44Speaker 1: man you'd feel comfortable with. Yeah, he feels. I think
- 14:50Speaker 1: his authenticity just really shines through in Paradise and through camera, yeah, camera,
- 14:56Speaker 1: just being himself. Um, he made the he said this
- 15:00Speaker 1: one thing where he was like, when she passed, he
- 15:03Speaker 1: couldn't get used to like sleeping on his side of
- 15:05Speaker 1: the bed and not having her on her side of
- 15:07Speaker 1: the bed. So then he started sleeping across the bed.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I know it's tough. I can't. I can't imagine. And
- 15:14Speaker 1: they both start tearing up. How can you not? I mean,
- 15:17Speaker 1: it's such a who a heavy conversation, heavy topic, you
- 15:22Speaker 1: know your deal. We joke and it's paradise and it's fun,
- 15:24Speaker 1: and we talked about how stressed out everybody is, and
- 15:26Speaker 1: of course there's stressful parts about it, but in terms
- 15:28Speaker 1: of the grand scheme of things, it's nothing. It's all fun.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It's play, but then you talk about conversations like this
- 15:33Speaker 1: where this is real world stuff and this is somebody
- 15:36Speaker 1: who went through something really traumatic. And yeah, for Sierra, uh,
- 15:42Speaker 1: it's got to be tough on her. It's so it's
- 15:44Speaker 1: gonna be you know, it's just hard. It's hard to
- 15:46Speaker 1: talk about. He says, this risky, poignant thing. He goes,
- 15:49Speaker 1: Sierra understands an old type of love and beauty. When
- 15:53Speaker 1: you do find love, that's really nice. I really is
- 15:57Speaker 1: nice and I really like them together. Things work out. Uh.
- 16:01Speaker 1: He also thanks her for listening and they kiss, which
- 16:06Speaker 1: I was kind of surprised at how that conversation went
- 16:08Speaker 1: from like crying to kissing, but I'm glad it happened. Yeah,
- 16:12Speaker 1: it doesn't surprise me. And I feel like vulnerable moments
- 16:15Speaker 1: like that just really make two people feel connected. And
- 16:19Speaker 1: when that happens, you know, feelings come rushing to the
- 16:23Speaker 1: surface and then you make a move. Mm hmmm, oh God,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I love you. I love you too. Let's talk about
- 16:32Speaker 1: something more fun. I love triangle. Okay, Logan is in
- 16:37Speaker 1: a love triangle, which is just hilarious. I don't know.
- 16:40Speaker 1: There's nothing about looking I don't I don't get it, honestly, guys,
- 16:45Speaker 1: when we were down there, nice man, very nice. But yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 1: it's just like like I remember something about everybody. I
- 16:55Speaker 1: think Casey has hysterical I love Casey and uh Lace
- 17:00Speaker 1: could see no words. But you don't even need to
- 17:01Speaker 1: describe Jacob Is. There's like a conversation you remember with
- 17:07Speaker 1: with everybody, except there's not a conversation. Remember. I agree,
- 17:11Speaker 1: it's like when when did we talk to him? But
- 17:13Speaker 1: I remember glimpses of talking to Logan, but I don't
- 17:16Speaker 1: remember much. Okay, Well, it doesn't matter whether we get
- 17:23Speaker 1: the appeal. What matters is that Logan has quite an
- 17:27Speaker 1: appeal to the ladies here. Yeah, I have a big appeal. Um,
- 17:31Speaker 1: it's clear that she is going to be the winner
- 17:34Speaker 1: of this love triangle when you're watching this, because Hailey
- 17:37Speaker 1: thinks she has something with him, but Logan does not
- 17:40Speaker 1: think he has something with her. Basically, he asked her
- 17:44Speaker 1: this next to each other on like the little Palapa
- 17:47Speaker 1: bed or whatever, and she says he he asked her
- 17:51Speaker 1: who she's eyeing or like, who she's into and how
- 17:53Speaker 1: she's feeling about the connections she has going on, and
- 17:56Speaker 1: she's like, oops, I thought that was with you, but
- 17:58Speaker 1: can you look in the mirror. Haley is on my
- 18:01Speaker 1: crap list because oh my, did she say something about you?
- 18:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the old people think about me, the alum. Yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 1: she said episode one towards Lace. First of all, Lace
- 18:14Speaker 1: is fantastic. Not only is she wonderful in person, she's
- 18:18Speaker 1: great TV. Why would you not want Lace on Paradise?
- 18:22Speaker 1: And then Haley said something about I'm all for a
- 18:25Speaker 1: lum coming back, but six years, like, come on cause
- 18:27Speaker 1: the door move on. I with love on six single Haley,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I'm hoping Haley finds love. You're hoping years. That's not
- 18:38Speaker 1: what I'm hoping for. I'm not hoping for that. I'm
- 18:39Speaker 1: hoping she finds love. Having said that, if it just
- 18:43Speaker 1: so happens, Haley is single in six years, and they
- 18:46Speaker 1: asked her to come on Bachelor in Paradise, I hope
- 18:49Speaker 1: that she has the same mindset. And she says, sorry, guys,
- 18:52Speaker 1: can't go back on because it's too far gone. I've
- 18:56Speaker 1: closed my door, or how about this. Dating in Paradise,
- 19:00Speaker 1: of course is very heightened and over the top, but
- 19:03Speaker 1: it's still dating in very much real life. You're trying
- 19:06Speaker 1: to find love, so I'd like to tell someone if
- 19:09Speaker 1: they go on six dates, you know what, don't go
- 19:11Speaker 1: on a seventh day. Give up, it's over. It's not
- 19:13Speaker 1: gonna work out anyway. That it's just like it just
- 19:15Speaker 1: rubbed me the wrong way. I don't understand why people
- 19:16Speaker 1: say that. What so Lace isn't allowed to come back
- 19:19Speaker 1: because she was on the show six years ago. She's
- 19:22Speaker 1: still so young. What is two? She's so young? Yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 1: she was on the show very young. So she's thirty
- 19:31Speaker 1: two and comes back. Come on, even if you were sixty,
- 19:38Speaker 1: well maybe not sixty. Sixty's a little much to be
- 19:40Speaker 1: on Paradise, but get my point. Let's move on, and
- 19:44Speaker 1: she's not. Logan and Logan and Shanay have a date
- 19:48Speaker 1: and there's really nothing memorable from it except for the
- 19:50Speaker 1: fact where it's like, damn, you can get anyone. I'm not.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm ripped on Logan a little bit. Okay, fun His
- 20:02Speaker 1: intro Paradise is very good, where he's got like a
- 20:04Speaker 1: migrator in one hand in my time and he's like
- 20:08Speaker 1: my tie. Alright, So now we have this Sally drama.
- 20:11Speaker 1: The Sally drama is a little bit silly, but let's
- 20:13Speaker 1: let's tell the audience what we know of the Sally
- 20:15Speaker 1: drama because we were told by producers exactly what was
- 20:20Speaker 1: going on behind the scenes before we even saw Wells's tail.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Well Wells's tail is pretty much exactly what happened where
- 20:26Speaker 1: Wales goes on this saga of Sally's suitcase and so
- 20:31Speaker 1: on clean season. Uh. Sally she left before even night one, yep,
- 20:37Speaker 1: and said she wanted a second shot at love. So
- 20:40Speaker 1: she decided to send a producer to make sure that
- 20:44Speaker 1: producer make sure she got on the plane. Then she
- 20:47Speaker 1: said she couldn't had explosive diarrhea. So these are the two.
- 20:51Speaker 1: There's a couple of parts in Wells's story that we
- 20:53Speaker 1: didn't hear, so I'll explain what we heard from the producer.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Two things, well, one love Wells. He's hysterical. But the
- 21:01Speaker 1: second thing is that bad. It just it wasn't bad.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It was just stop. It was like it was like
- 21:11Speaker 1: a chuckle at first, like oh ha ha yeah, and
- 21:13Speaker 1: then it was like, oh, it's still going, and then
- 21:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, it's still going. And
- 21:17Speaker 1: who was the other guy in the skit? At first
- 21:19Speaker 1: we thought it was Casey, but then we're like, oh, no,
- 21:21Speaker 1: this isn't casey, So why did they do Like, why
- 21:24Speaker 1: would they do that? Like they should have introd who
- 21:27Speaker 1: that was or had a cast member do it. I
- 21:30Speaker 1: don't I don't know. Anyway, guys, we we were we
- 21:33Speaker 1: thought it was funny, but it was not funny. Okay,
- 21:36Speaker 1: we're being nice. Is very funny. Yeah, like when Wells
- 21:39Speaker 1: is doing his his interviews, his narration, it's fantastic. But
- 21:44Speaker 1: do you know what this is going to kick us
- 21:45Speaker 1: in the butt. You know this is going to bite
- 21:46Speaker 1: us in the butt because he's going to have a
- 21:49Speaker 1: story time saga. I believe about our story, and what
- 21:52Speaker 1: if he re enacts our story, then we're gonna like
- 21:54Speaker 1: it's hilarious ever ten minutes long, and it was so
- 21:59Speaker 1: much better than the is the one anyway? Okay, So
- 22:03Speaker 1: but back to the suitcase. The girls fought. This is
- 22:06Speaker 1: a little bit of a stagy moment, and we don't
- 22:08Speaker 1: love staging moments here. So what happens? I believe truly
- 22:12Speaker 1: that the suitcase did arrive there, um because she decided
- 22:17Speaker 1: very last minute not to get on the plane. In
- 22:20Speaker 1: the story, it says that, okay, we're getting all over
- 22:25Speaker 1: the place. Let me condense. What we heard from producers
- 22:30Speaker 1: while we were there is that Sally did have a
- 22:32Speaker 1: producer come to wherever she lives, I think in Tennessee.
- 22:36Speaker 1: They tried to get her. Um, they tried to go
- 22:38Speaker 1: to the house, and then she was like, I don't
- 22:39Speaker 1: want to, and then I do want to and I
- 22:40Speaker 1: do want to go, and then there was a guy
- 22:42Speaker 1: and it was her ex, and then he wanted her
- 22:45Speaker 1: to or he didn't want her to, or there was
- 22:46Speaker 1: like you know, it was so much of back and forth.
- 22:50Speaker 1: But the bottom line is the bottom line is she
- 22:57Speaker 1: didn't get on the plane, but they definitely booked her
- 23:00Speaker 1: flight or two or three. It was like they booked
- 23:02Speaker 1: her multiple flights that she wasn't getting on. What the
- 23:06Speaker 1: two things that were surprises to us was the diarrhea.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I didn't hear that part of the story. She said,
- 23:13Speaker 1: you can't come in, I have massive diarrhea to whatever
- 23:16Speaker 1: producer came to the door, and then she apparently wasn't
- 23:19Speaker 1: even home. I can't take that part tongue in cheek anyway. Yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I mean Genevieve believed it. Oh didn't believe the Yeah, yeah,
- 23:30Speaker 1: they're all they are pretty much believing everything. And then
- 23:33Speaker 1: the other thing we didn't hear from producers was that
- 23:38Speaker 1: that Sally had a producer sitting in the trunk of
- 23:41Speaker 1: her car for four to five hours during a hot
- 23:43Speaker 1: summer day. That was just didn't happen, right, There's no way.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I can't imagine you didn't. First off, it would have
- 23:50Speaker 1: been an SUV trunk and not like an actual like
- 23:54Speaker 1: sedan truck trunk. Why did they weigh in the trunk?
- 23:58Speaker 1: I can't remember because she had to go talk her
- 24:00Speaker 1: ex and she was like, my X can't see you
- 24:03Speaker 1: sitting in the car with me or sitting in the car,
- 24:05Speaker 1: so you have to go in the trunk and hide.
- 24:08Speaker 1: That's I definitely believe that she had a producer hiding, yeah,
- 24:12Speaker 1: hiding the trunk. And it could be absolutely an exaggeration,
- 24:16Speaker 1: or maybe it was just being in the car. Anyway,
- 24:18Speaker 1: I can't imagine. It's funnier if the producers in the trunk.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Let's just say the producers in the fine But there's
- 24:23Speaker 1: also no way that any human would sit in a
- 24:26Speaker 1: car for five hours waiting for somebody. You would go
- 24:29Speaker 1: and bang on that door in the trunk. Wasn't that
- 24:32Speaker 1: trunk for two hours? I would have been convinced I
- 24:35Speaker 1: was kidnapped and about to be buried alive thousand percent.
- 24:38Speaker 1: But that's why I'm saying it was definitely an STUV truck.
- 24:40Speaker 1: It's probably didn't happen, but anyway, then okay, I'm going like,
- 24:44Speaker 1: we're going to the beliefs and the not beliefs. So now,
- 24:47Speaker 1: did the suitcase actually arrive to Paradise because it arrived
- 24:50Speaker 1: on the plane with the producer without Sally. Yes, totally
- 24:54Speaker 1: believe that. Do I believe that there was she packed
- 24:56Speaker 1: a waffle maker and a vibrator and all that. No,
- 25:04Speaker 1: they've definitely sent the girls up there and like there's
- 25:06Speaker 1: a new suitcase from a new arrival. Come on, we
- 25:11Speaker 1: can say that that was definitely them having fun with her.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I don't know, sometimes you want waffles in Paradise, you know,
- 25:17Speaker 1: the waffle you know, the vibrator would have been believable,
- 25:21Speaker 1: but then adding the waffle maker just made it all
- 25:23Speaker 1: not believable. Does she have like a thing with waffles?
- 25:26Speaker 1: They said that there was like a gift that the
- 25:28Speaker 1: girls gave her as a like a newly or wizard
- 25:32Speaker 1: called like um an engagement gift because she kept going
- 25:36Speaker 1: back and forth between her ex and being single. A
- 25:40Speaker 1: waffle maker as an engagement gift. Huh, that's like a
- 25:43Speaker 1: wedding gift. It's like it could be the same. Girls
- 25:47Speaker 1: get that stuff for bridle showers. Okay, get a waffle
- 25:52Speaker 1: maker for bridle shower. Bridle shower gifts are often very
- 25:55Speaker 1: similar to like wedding gifts. It's like for house swear,
- 25:58Speaker 1: a lot, pots and pants, where it's the bachelorette party
- 26:01Speaker 1: where you get like launderye or something like that. Hold on,
- 26:05Speaker 1: wait a minute, so you're telling me that you get
- 26:07Speaker 1: gifts for both for your bridle shower, for your bachelorette party,
- 26:12Speaker 1: and for your wedding. The bachelorette party gifts are just
- 26:15Speaker 1: like fu fous if anything I didn't even it is expensive.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I didn't even get more anything for a bachelorette because
- 26:23Speaker 1: I gave her something for the bridle So it was
- 26:24Speaker 1: like if you were at the bridal shower, then you
- 26:26Speaker 1: didn't have to get anything for the bachelorette. This is
- 26:28Speaker 1: all very confusing. Well, now we have to talk about
- 26:31Speaker 1: Romeo and Jill. This is a storyline that you probably
- 26:37Speaker 1: have a lot to talk about because you do love Jill.
- 26:39Speaker 1: So much, and Romeo is quite the character. He is
- 26:43Speaker 1: something to figure out and what Michael Ay said was hilarious.
- 26:47Speaker 1: He goes The way that he's dealing with this social
- 26:49Speaker 1: situation makes me really doubt that he went to hard.
- 26:53Speaker 1: It's making it hard to believe that he's a mathematician
- 26:55Speaker 1: that graduated from because he's like a little bit it
- 27:00Speaker 1: awkward and like he's like all about number? Is it
- 27:02Speaker 1: not so much about words? Some people are so incredibly
- 27:05Speaker 1: smart that it hurts their social dynamic. I don't know,
- 27:09Speaker 1: but yeah, Romeo, it's almost think he like he thinks
- 27:13Speaker 1: everything in analytics, it doesn't really factor in human motion. Um,
- 27:18Speaker 1: because the poor guy doesn't know how to handle awkward
- 27:22Speaker 1: situations and he handled it so poorly. And I don't
- 27:25Speaker 1: First of all, I don't think Romeo is a bad
- 27:26Speaker 1: guy at all. No, I don't think. No. I really
- 27:29Speaker 1: enjoy Romo. Yeah, so it's sad that he's like getting
- 27:31Speaker 1: such a bad rap and making such well, but it's
- 27:35Speaker 1: sad that he's making such poor decisions. I would agree
- 27:39Speaker 1: it's sad he's making such poor decisions because you're like Romeo, dude, dude, Well,
- 27:44Speaker 1: we loved what he did last week. Last week he
- 27:47Speaker 1: said like, Kira, I'm not interested in pursuing anything with
- 27:50Speaker 1: you because I want to move forward with Jill. And
- 27:53Speaker 1: then it's twelve hours later, twenty four or whatever and
- 27:57Speaker 1: he's like, uh, Brittain, I would like to continue things
- 28:02Speaker 1: with you and say goodbye to Jill. I know, I know.
- 28:06Speaker 1: It was just obvious that he was not into here,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and he was into Britain and that's why he said it.
- 28:10Speaker 1: It wasn't that he was I thought he was genuinely
- 28:13Speaker 1: into Jill. And then he looked at Brittany and he
- 28:15Speaker 1: was like, no, I liked I like this too. I mean,
- 28:17Speaker 1: how much could you be into Jill if you looked
- 28:19Speaker 1: at Brittain you were like, never mind something, China. I
- 28:22Speaker 1: don't know. That's all very sad, and we love the
- 28:24Speaker 1: way that Jill reacting. She's the best. Jill is just
- 28:28Speaker 1: so funny. What are some of these good lines? The
- 28:31Speaker 1: one that says Jill always so sad? When Jill said
- 28:34Speaker 1: I'm a great person and I know that, yeah, like
- 28:37Speaker 1: I'm really cool and I know that. Yeah, it was
- 28:40Speaker 1: funny but also very endearing. Its week, and then Romeo
- 28:44Speaker 1: just I just and then the poor guy went around.
- 28:47Speaker 1: It was crazy to me that on the night of
- 28:50Speaker 1: a rose ceremony, Romeo was ready to give out a
- 28:53Speaker 1: rose to anybody who just said, yeah, I'll take it,
- 28:56Speaker 1: and then the next week they could easily just say, uh,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you know, I'm gonna go and pursue something with somebody else.
- 29:03Speaker 1: But crazy that that happens a lot. That's like friendship roses,
- 29:07Speaker 1: but he didn't even hand out a friend point. Nobody
- 29:10Speaker 1: accepted his friendship rose. Well not yet. We don't know
- 29:13Speaker 1: what's going to happen. Somebody will accept it, but in
- 29:16Speaker 1: terms of like nobody was grabbing it, like there was
- 29:17Speaker 1: a rose up for grabs and everybody was pursuing. Yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 1: it's like, get the rose, stay the next week and
- 29:24Speaker 1: then figure it out. Then. I know we were there,
- 29:27Speaker 1: we show up the day after the rose ceremony, but
- 29:29Speaker 1: I really don't remember who he ends up giving the
- 29:32Speaker 1: rose to. Okay, well guys, but yeah, I mean, plus,
- 29:40Speaker 1: if you're a girl and you get Romeo's rose, you're
- 29:43Speaker 1: guaranteed two more weeks. Yeah, so just get the rose. Yeah,
- 29:47Speaker 1: what are you gonna be villainized? You're gonna be fine.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Romeo is messing up left and right, just be like, yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 1: I'll accept your rose, but you know, I'll pursue something
- 29:53Speaker 1: with you, but I'm gonna also pursue things with other
- 29:55Speaker 1: people too, if that's okay. And I'm sure Romeo would
- 29:57Speaker 1: say yeah, because nobody else is saying yes to us.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Out with Romeo, he does end up in tears because
- 30:02Speaker 1: he goes back to Kira and says, I was close
- 30:06Speaker 1: minded early on, and I would like to salvage any
- 30:08Speaker 1: spark that we've possibly had. Poor guy. Like, again, I
- 30:12Speaker 1: like Romeo. I do really like Romeo, but man, it
- 30:16Speaker 1: was kind of pathetic to see the whole ending where
- 30:18Speaker 1: he was like trying to get a rose and then
- 30:20Speaker 1: nobody was taking and then he started crying, and it's like,
- 30:22Speaker 1: oh god, bro, just pull pull up your big boy
- 30:25Speaker 1: pants and let's get through this. You're fine, you're handing
- 30:28Speaker 1: out a rose, you know, just relax, You're okay. But
- 30:32Speaker 1: then again, it's not helping your cause that you're crying
- 30:34Speaker 1: right now. I think it would. If I would, I
- 30:38Speaker 1: would be like, oh, this man has like feelings and
- 30:41Speaker 1: empathy and like he's knowing that he's messed up. Yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 1: all right, it's not a bad point either. Yeah, Like
- 30:49Speaker 1: there's something wishy about him, Yes, something mush. All right, Okay,
- 30:53Speaker 1: well let's wrap this podcast up with a few headlines
- 30:57Speaker 1: and we'll do that right after this break. First two
- 31:10Speaker 1: headlines are Clayton and Susie related. Can I'll sum it
- 31:15Speaker 1: up really quickly? Sure? Okay? Alright, So the first one
- 31:17Speaker 1: is Clayton and Susie. They were on the Off the
- 31:20Speaker 1: Vine podcast with Well, they weren't together on the podcast.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I think they did a joint interview. No, it says
- 31:26Speaker 1: Clein Eckered and Susie Evans continue to do things their
- 31:29Speaker 1: own way, giving a joint interview about the decision to
- 31:31Speaker 1: call it quits two weeks after the splint interesting, God
- 31:35Speaker 1: everything around here. Clay went on say, I wasn't really
- 31:40Speaker 1: sure of what my next step was going to be
- 31:41Speaker 1: once the show ended. I had uprooted myself, sold my place.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I was like, all right, I can go wherever. But
- 31:48Speaker 1: what do I end up doing? Am I going back
- 31:50Speaker 1: to corporate America? Am I going to chase my passions?
- 31:54Speaker 1: A lot of things being unknown? And I think put
- 31:56Speaker 1: that put me in a place of instability plus, but
- 31:58Speaker 1: the backlash of the show became very overwhelming, very quickly.
- 32:02Speaker 1: And so what I think ended up happening, uh is
- 32:05Speaker 1: I was trying to figure out what my next step was,
- 32:08Speaker 1: and I started questioning who I was because of the negativity.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I started to believe some of what was being said
- 32:14Speaker 1: about me. And now I look back at it and
- 32:16Speaker 1: realized I couldn't be that stable, secure man that I
- 32:20Speaker 1: needed to be in order to give my all in
- 32:23Speaker 1: a relationship. So he's blaming the negativity on the relationship
- 32:27Speaker 1: dissolving with Susie, And then Susie went on to say
- 32:31Speaker 1: that I think it was just self identity, and I
- 32:34Speaker 1: think that he was looking for stability and there were
- 32:36Speaker 1: times when I didn't provide that as well because I
- 32:39Speaker 1: just wasn't sure. She goes on to say, I can't
- 32:42Speaker 1: wait three months, I can't promise three months or whatever.
- 32:45Speaker 1: And I think that's really hard in relationship too, when
- 32:48Speaker 1: I'm on the other hand, like I need security. I
- 32:51Speaker 1: want to be too whole people. So it sounds like
- 32:55Speaker 1: Clayton couldn't give both of them couldn't give stability because
- 33:00Speaker 1: they're both kind of rocked. I think they're just kind
- 33:02Speaker 1: of rocked from the in the start of it all.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Here's what here, here's what I can summon up in. Okay, yes,
- 33:08Speaker 1: Mr Help, I second dating Clean wasn't ready to be
- 33:10Speaker 1: the Bachelor. We all do that. If you're going to
- 33:13Speaker 1: be the Bachelor, you're gonna sign up for this. You
- 33:15Speaker 1: realize what you're signing up for. You're gonna get negativity.
- 33:18Speaker 1: You didn't have any practice, he had no attention during
- 33:21Speaker 1: the first season. But then as the show, I'm not
- 33:23Speaker 1: I'm not defending him. You got to cast someone who's
- 33:26Speaker 1: ready to be in the public eye, who's gonna be
- 33:28Speaker 1: in this really tremortuous relationship like it happens every single season,
- 33:33Speaker 1: you know. I mean there's always there's always the run
- 33:35Speaker 1: of rob, there's always somebody being dumb the bachelor. Bachelor
- 33:39Speaker 1: is always getting, you know, some sort of grief because
- 33:42Speaker 1: they have to break up with twenty five people to
- 33:44Speaker 1: end up with the person that they want to end
- 33:45Speaker 1: up with. So it's difficult and it's hard, and I
- 33:48Speaker 1: understand that, But you're the bachelor. So if if you
- 33:52Speaker 1: couldn't overcome it, then you couldn't overcome it. But then
- 33:54Speaker 1: I would just argue that maybe you weren't ready to
- 33:56Speaker 1: be on the ship, you know, be the lead, which
- 33:58Speaker 1: is Okay, I don't think I was going to be
- 34:00Speaker 1: ready to be the lead. You kid me. If they
- 34:02Speaker 1: casted me as the bachelor, probably would have been fine.
- 34:06Speaker 1: You're dismistress, stability doubtful, very doubtful. But my point being,
- 34:12Speaker 1: I don't know. It's just like best of luck to him. Okay. Well,
- 34:17Speaker 1: just because they're not together, Moore, doesn't mean that we
- 34:18Speaker 1: shouldn't keep still keep up with Susie's TikTok's because she
- 34:22Speaker 1: is a master at them. She's so funny on them.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Do you watch them very good on TikTok? It always
- 34:26Speaker 1: comes up my search patrons because you watch them. Yeah,
- 34:29Speaker 1: we share. So she's poking fun of herself on TikTok
