Speaker 1: Hmm. Settle down, close your eyes, and make yourself comfortable.
• 0:24
Take a big, deep breath in through your nose and slowly,
• 0:30
gently without through your mouth. Again, take another deep breath
• 0:40
in through your nose and slowly and gently batheout through
• 0:47
your mouth. One last time, deep breath in and slowly
• 0:58
and gently breathe out through your mouth, and just feel
• 1:05
the gentle rhythm of your breath. Feel a steady beat
• 1:10
of your heart. Take a moment to listen to your heartbeat.
• 1:18
Can you hear it? Feel a gentle rise and fall
• 1:24
of your chest as it moves in time with your heart?
• 1:29
Can you feel it? With each beat of your heart,
• 1:37
you feel more and more relaxed, more and more calm,
• 1:42
more and more peaceful, more and more peaceful. And every
• 1:51
time you breathe in, you're breathing in deep relaxation. It's
• 1:58
making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and you
• 2:02
feel very comfortable and very in peace with yourself. Just
• 2:08
let your body relax just a little bit more with
• 2:11
each breath. Now, imagine that you are in your very
• 2:20
own garden and you find yourself standing in front of
• 2:26
the most perfect old wooden bench. It looks very comfortable,
• 2:34
It has lovely soft cushions on it too. It even
• 2:37
has a nice, soft and cozy, velvety blanket draped over
• 2:43
the back of it. You realize that you don't have
• 2:48
any shoes on, and the grass is soft and warm
• 2:51
under your bare feet. The sun is shining and it
• 2:57
feels warm and comforting without being too hot, And there
• 3:02
is a soft, sweet, gentle breeze wafting. The beautiful scent
• 3:07
of the flowers coming towards you smells amazing. You can
• 3:15
recognize the scent of some of the flowers and shrubs,
• 3:20
and they are all mingling together to create the most
• 3:23
beautiful aroma. And you breathe it in deeply, fill up
• 3:30
your lungs, feeling so peaceful and so calm. You can
• 3:37
hear the birds singing in the trees and the bushes nearby,
• 3:43
and you can hear the light rustle of the wind
• 3:45
blowing gently in the trees. You can hear it. You
• 3:51
can even hear a trickle of water, and you realize
• 3:57
there is a shallow river running through your gol garden
• 4:00
as well. How special is that the colors everywhere are beautiful,
• 4:11
the rich greens of the grass and the plants, the
• 4:15
blue of the sky, the amazing colors from all of
• 4:19
the flowers and the birds is just beautiful and it
• 4:24
makes you smile with happiness. And if you stay quiet
• 4:31
and look very carefully, you may see all the different
• 4:36
wildlife going about their day. The hedgehog mooching around looking
• 4:42
for some big fat worms to eat, the squirrels seeking
• 4:46
out nuts for their dinner. The butterflies happily dancing from
• 4:51
flower to flower. Is that a rabbit you see hopping
• 4:56
around under the big tree at the end of your garden,
• 4:59
or maybe the fox playing with the cubs in the sunlight.
• 5:06
Smell everything in your garden, Breathe in the wonderful a
• 5:11
romance of your very own special place. Maybe there is
• 5:17
a wild strawberry patch and strawberry is just itching to
• 5:21
beaten by you, of course, Or an apple from a
• 5:26
tree that you might want to taste. Maybe you have
• 5:30
a bear tree to your garden. You can have anything
• 5:34
you want. Maybe you can stoop to pick up a
• 5:38
flower or hold a shell or a special stone in
• 5:42
your hands. Just enjoy the warmth of the sun on
• 5:47
your body, and really listen to the sounds of your garden,
• 5:54
really hear the sounds of nature all around you. It's
• 5:59
bird's song, a bee putting on a distant flower, the
• 6:04
little squirrel cracking a nut. This is your space, your garden.
• 6:11
Enjoy it. Explore your garden, just walk around it for
• 6:17
a few moments, and just see how beautiful a place
• 6:22
  this is.
• 7:07
  Speaker 2: M to totting.
• 8:53
  Speaker 3: And.
• 9:14
Speaker 1: That was really lovely, wasn't it? Just you and your garden.
• 9:23
You decide to find somewhere to rest now, and you
• 9:27
feel a little bit tired. Then you remember the lovely
• 9:32
old wooden bench in your garden, the one with the
• 9:36
soft cushions and the even softer velvety blanket. You go
• 9:42
back to your bench, but this time you take a
• 9:45
good look at it and notice what cour it is,
• 9:50
what it's made of, how big it is. You love it.
• 9:58
You decide to have a little rest on it for
• 10:01
a while. The bench looks so inviting, so comfortable. You
• 10:07
fluff up the cushions and lay down your head. You
• 10:12
pull the soft velvety blanket all around yourself, giving a
• 10:17
happy little sigh. Close your eyes, but you can still
• 10:24
feel the garden all around you. You can still smell
• 10:29
the beautiful scents of the flowers. You can still hear
• 10:34
the sounds of the wildlife and all of the little birds,
• 10:40
but it's like they know that you're going to take
• 10:43
a nap now, so the birds are singing a lot quieter,
• 10:49
and the wildlife are going about their business ever so quietly,
• 10:55
so they don't disturb you. They know you want to
• 10:59
sleep and rest your weary eyes, and you really do.
• 11:05
  Speaker 4: So.
• 11:06
Speaker 1: As you listen to the much quieter garden, you feel
• 11:12
very grateful to be here, so grateful in fact, that
• 11:17
you decide you will come back here as often as
• 11:20
you can, because you know there are many many things
• 11:26
in your life that you are grateful for. You know
• 11:30
how wonderful your life can be. But in this garden,
• 11:36
it's amazing, and it's wonderful, your very own perfect garden
• 11:42
with the most amazing old wooden bench. But for now,
• 11:49
just breathe gently, feeling your eyes becoming very heavy now
• 11:56
and they're just resting in silence. But it's not quite silent,
• 12:02
not yet. You settle yourself down and you relax even further,
• 12:10
and just being here in this lovely place, on this
• 12:15
ever circumfy old wooden bench, it's wonderful. As you breathe
• 12:22
slowly and gently, you give a great, big sigh of happiness.
• 12:29
You feel so happy and relaxed, so peaceful and so calm,
• 12:37
so protected and so very very safe. You're take in
• 12:43
another breath and then slowly sighs out. Oh, but you
• 12:48
feel so sleepy now, and even though your eyes are closed,
• 12:54
they feel ever so tired. Breathing softly and gently now,
• 13:01
And each time you breathe in, you take in all
• 13:05
the good thoughts and positive feelings, and each time you
• 13:10
breathe out you let all of your unwonted thoughts just
• 13:16
drift away, just as you drift into the most wonderful
• 13:24
  night's sleep. Good night.
