- speaker-0: Hey, welcome in Average Home Theater. I am Nelson. speaker-1: Hey everybody, it's producer Nick. Just getting back from feeling under the weather for the last couple of weeks. So if I start speaker-0: I thought you were mad at me because you weren't answering any of my text messages. speaker-1: No, no, I was mad at the world because I've felt like crap and just didn't want to have communication with the outside world as much as usual. just finally getting over it, thank goodness, still got the lingering cough. So if I start doing that, sorry. But I'll try to keep it together for the for the fans, for the people out there. Thank you. I appreciate that. speaker-0: So today is what, Wednesday the twenty-eighth. So it's unfortunately going to be our last spooky season episode. But it's not like we're never gonna do horror movies or anything again. Yeah. But so we did it again where we didn't tell each other what we watched, even though Nick slipped and I know what he watched, but he has no idea what I watched. speaker-1: No idea. So this is also kind of I finally watched it. I finally watched it spooky season edition. So I finally after never having seen it in my forty six and a half years on planet Earth, I had never seen excuse me. I had never seen nineteen seventy three's The Exorcist. no way it was much longer than that. the seventy three, what's that? Forty I don't know. Not not good. speaker-0: Years older than us. speaker-1: Yeah, so fifty fifty three years. Mm-hmm. Fifty three That's speaker-0: 'Cause we're in twenty six, yeah, fifty three. speaker-1: stupid. It's stupid and I don't like it. so yeah, I had never seen The Exorcist and I finally watched it last week. During the week and I am ready to give my thoughts on that. So first of all fun fact about The Exorcist, the which something that you know how you hear something but you don't know what it's from and then you finally find out what it's from and it blows your mind. The music? The music, the the theme song, the da da da da da. I work with a guy, you know him, Ern, big Ern McCracken. Yeah, okay. That has been Ernie's ringtone since phones had ringtones. I have heard that song every day for the past ten, fifteen years, whatever it is, I have heard that song and I did not ever know what it was from until last week when I watched The Exorcist. So I'm watching this movie and I hear this song and my brain exploded out the back of my head because anyway. I just thought that was that was kinda neat. speaker-0: Correct me if I'm wrong, but was that not one of the songs they would play at the Ice Gators games in between the periods? speaker-1: It was. You're right. It sure was. It sure was. I I wouldn't have made that connection. I wouldn't have never thought about that. But it was. At the beginning of the third period, I believe. They would they would play that song. speaker-0: Or it yeah, it was when they w the Zamboni was making its passes in between the second and third period. That's they would play that song. speaker-1: That's right. Well, so I never knew where that was from and went into this movie not knowing what that was from and it was one of those lightning struck my brain, aha moments. So anyway, fun fact that was kinda neat for me. so I came into The Exorcist knowing in general what it was about. I knew it was a possession, speaker-0: Demon possession. speaker-1: demon possession and The priests trying to exerc exercise the demons. So story wise though, I was still kind of surprised. I didn't realize that it was going to be so much about the priest and his backstory and and both of their backstories actually, because speaker-0: He was struggling with his faith, right? speaker-1: he was struggling with his faith and his mom had died, and and towards the end of the movie, the demon uses that against him. Tells him, it's your fault she died, you weren't there for her, yada yada yada. trying to like coax him into you know, whatever when he was trying to to to get her out of the little girl. So that was that was a little bit of a surprise for me, having known pretty much what the movie was about. I didn't expect the priest's story to have that much of a role in the movie as it did. It was a little slower than I expected, especially the first three quarters or so, because it was a lot of that that backstory and all that. but I did enjoy the progression of seeing the little girl, Linda Blair, who was just on a so we like to watch those trivia shows and the weakest link is one of our trivia shows that we like to watch. And they did like a special scary edition. And Linda Blair, as an adult, of course, it's happening now. But she was on she was one of the contestants on the show. So I thought that was kinda neat that I just wanted speaker-0: What did you think about her performance? speaker-1: I I thought she was great for a for a child actor. I don't know that I've ever seen her in anything else ever. But I thought I did think she did really well. but anyway, I I thought it was neat the progression of, you know, she gets possessed by this demon and it's slow at first. They don't know what's wrong with her. They take her to get x-rays, they take her to get MRIs, they think it's something medical, they think it's something mental, they Take her to see a psychologist, all this other stuff, and it's the mom who was firsthand seeing what's going on and realizing what's going on and thinking, Okay, well this sounds a whole lot like a possession. She contacts the clergy or whatever, and they don't think, you know, we haven't done an exorcism in ten years and it nearly killed the guy that did it, and it turns out it was I I can't remember the actor's name. I think he was in one of the new Star Wars movies. speaker-0: Van Sido. speaker-1: Yes, that guy. speaker-0: Max Bon Sido or whatever. speaker-1: so they they contact him, they get him to do it, and then, you know, everybody kind of knows the rest is the rest of the story. They go and do the exorcism. I was not expecting the priest to get possessed himself and throw himself out the window to yeah. He he saved the little girl. He got he speaker-0: I remember him rolling down the stairs. The steps. Yeah. speaker-1: Yeah, he did that. and then he yeah, he threw himself out of the window to to take possession of the demon himself and save the little girl, so that was neat. I thought the the makeup was really good when the girl was getting more and more deeper into the possession and she was, I guess, clawing herself and her face was all messed up. The makeup was all really neat. The you know, the famous when she spits the the vomit in the priest's face and and I I read that that was a real reaction. it was supposed to spray on his clothes, but it got in his face, so his his disgusted reaction was was real. I thought that was neat. The the head turning, that was obviously an animatronic on a stick. That was kinda that was kinda kind of a little comical. speaker-0: Hey man, it's nineteen seventy three. speaker-1: Yeah, for that for that time, yeah, it was it was fine, but that stuff doesn't doesn't. speaker-0: The the actor, the priest. is he in anything else? 'Cause I don't really remember him. speaker-1: Look, I didn't recognize his name. For some reason I thought it was Gabriel Byrne. Is he in a remake or a sequel? speaker-0: Stigmata. It was in Stigmata and he was in End of Days. Stigmata, he was a former priest. Okay. And then I think, right? speaker-1: I'm not sure. I just know speaker-0: Current priest. speaker-1: I turned this movie on waiting for Gabriel Byrne to show up and he never showed up. speaker-0: Well he kinda he kinda reminds you of Gabriel. speaker-1: Yeah, yeah. So speaker-0: You're thinking of Stigmata and End of Days, but End of Days, I think he was he was the demon, right? speaker-1: I I don't know, I didn't see either one of those. but yeah, I mean I looked at the actor. I don't I didn't know his name when I looked at it and I I don't remember it now and I don't remember seeing him in anything else. Like I looked at his his credit list and didn't see him in anything else. yeah, I mean the movie was the movie was creepy. It wasn't as much scary as it was creepy. Yeah. Makes you makes you think about that kind of stuff. It was kinda crazy. I understand why it was such a big deal when it came out. I think we kinda talked about it in a previous speaker-0: Things that she says and and does. speaker-1: Yeah, as a as a young girl in her preteens, the things that she says to when she's possessed by the demon, it's and it's it got me thinking about how crazy we see stuff like that now and we don't bat an eye even really. but yeah, that was that was speaker-0: Back then, think about nineteen seventy three. Not only the things that she's saying, but she's saying it to a priest. That speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: had to be just so shocking. speaker-1: Yeah. while stabbing herself between the legs with a crucifix, you know, I mean she was what, eleven, twelve years old in in the movie The Character? speaker-0: So yeah, I Linda Blair was thirteen, but now speaker-1: that was pretty nuts. speaker-0: correct me if I'm wrong, is it it was loosely based on a true story, like a real possession or something? Or is it just a generic possession? speaker-1: I think it was based on was it based on a book? I think it was based on a a novel, maybe. okay. I may be wrong about that. I don't know. speaker-0: You could say any possession movie is based on a true story, really. Yeah. loosely ba based on true events. speaker-1: So, one thing that did strike me after watching this was how much I'd we had I had watched Lee Cronin's The Mummy. After watching The Exorcist, the Mummy is basically it's it's almost like a a remake of the Ex I mean, as you say, it's a generic possession story, but man, the similarities are kinda uncanny. I'm not taking any anything away from the mummy. I still enjoyed it, but it's I understand it now. so yeah, I mean I I liked it. I liked it fine. there was I had actually put it in my Amazon cart to watch it. I'm glad that it was streaming. I watched the streaming. I don't know that it's something that I'll ever watch again, so I'm glad it's not something that I purchased. But it is something that I'm definitely glad after, you know, fifty three years. I'm glad that I've watched it. speaker-0: It's a piece of cinema history. So it's it's nice. I have a D V D copy. Mm-hmm. and that's probably all I'll ever have. I won't like spend money to upgrade it, but yeah, so it is nice to say I have a copy of The Exorcist. more for that than anything else. But yeah. You know, it's it's not one that you can just go back and watch. Some people do, they love it, they watch it over and over. I still think it's a very good speaker-1: I couldn't imagine. Yeah, I couldn't imagine it being in my in my rotation. speaker-0: You have to respect what it is and what it did, speaker-1: at the time, I'm sure people didn't sleep for several nights after speaker-0: My mom. It scared the piss out of my mom. speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: But you know my mom is a good Catholic girl. speaker-1: I was about to say I'm sure it affects people more who are like more religious than others and have have more faith than others. I'm sure it would affect them a little bit differently than someone, you know, not just watching it. speaker-0: Look, I'm I'm the same way. I'm very cautious when it comes to religious type movies because of that. So I mean I get it. But yeah. Good movie. So yeah. So what you give it a rating wise just speaker-1: for me watching it in two thousand twenty six man, I'm probably gonna get flamed. six and a half, seven? speaker-0: Ooh, that's low. speaker-1: Yeah, I feel like that I a seven. No no higher than a seven for me. Right. but again, just just because of the time speaker-0: I say that's low. I haven't watched it in years, so speaker-1: Yeah. Yeah. it was it was fine. The mom she was the mom played a played a really good part. Ellen Burston, I believe, was the mom. And I wasn't expecting like she was famous, she was a famous actress and there the the death of dire the director and all that stuff and that storyline and all that stuff. I wasn't I wasn't expecting any I guess I wasn't expecting it to be as as deep as it was with all the different stories and all the different things going. speaker-0: Because wasn't the mom kinda like she wasn't really worried about the girl, she was worried about her own career and stuff, but then all this started happening. speaker-1: No, she she didn't yeah, the girl wasn't no, she was she was involved. It wasn't I didn't get that that from their relationship. speaker-0: I must be thinking of something else. speaker-1: Yeah, no, she wasn't she wasn't like a latchkey kid or anything like that. now the dad wasn't involved. there was a this is kind of the backstory of the dad. He wasn't in their life was seemed like kind of a deadbeat from what I remember. Mom was mom was there though. She was she was a good mom. So yeah. Okay. The Exorcist finally watched it. speaker-0: Good deal, good deal. Well, before I get into what I watch, I don't know if you've noticed I've been eating some delicious sh speaker-1: Delicious treats Bucky's. speaker-0: From Bucky's sound. speaker-1: Where did you get Bucky's treats? speaker-0: Well, I went to Texas for a relative's funeral and on the way back we stopped at Bucky's to get something to eat and of course I saw this so I snatched it but I could put speaker-1: I was gonna say that was a couple of weeks ago and there is no possible way that I would have snacks from Bucky's in my house for more than a couple days without them being consumed. speaker-0: I Jamie, right before I came up here, I was like, Okay, I'm going upstairs to give the people what they want, a spooky season podcast. And she was cleaning out the the pantry and she said, Hey, do you want these? I was like, Yes. speaker-1: No. Yes. speaker-0: I'm sorry, I just kicked the cat in the speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: cat. Well, me as cat. speaker-1: Well, hold Okay, real real real fast, real fast. Before you get to yours and what you watched, I did watch a couple of other spooky season movies over the last week or so that I just wanted to mention. I wasn't I wasn't crazy about either one of but I watched us, the the Jordan Jordan Peel. Did you watch that? Whatever. I it didn't it didn't blow my socks off. I didn't dislike it. But it was just whatever. And then we also watched The Visit. the night Shyamalan movie with the kids who go to visit the grandparents. How so I had always wanted to watch this and just never got around to it. So I was excited for it. It's a found footage movie, which I did not realize going in. Really? Steven, stop it. My cat stop it. My cat's clawing the furniture. It's a found footage movie, which I was not expecting. which those are those are fine. They have to be really good for me to really enjoy them. But I just I wasn't too crazy about it. The twist at the end, he's always got a twist. We kind of figured it out fairly early. I say we kind of figured it out. Let me clarify and give credit where credit is due. Jacob figured it out. Jacob figured it out. but speaker-0: That little S O B. speaker-1: it wasn't like super shocking. and for a found footage movie, like some of the things for instance, there's a scene where they're playing h the two kids, the brother and sister are playing hide and seek under the house and there's something under the house with them, and one of the kids is running from it and she's got a camera, but the whole time the camera is focused behind her as she's frantically crawling to get it out from under the house. A as a found footage That just didn't make sense to me. why would the camera are you running away like this? I it just it didn't it didn't work for me as a found footage movie. speaker-0: Yeah. To me if you're crawling the camera would be speaker-1: Right. All over. Not pointed dire and it was like it wasn't steady. It was shaking, but at no point would you be doing that and the camera would be pointed behind you. First of all, I'd have dropped the damn camera and gotten out of there as soon as possible. I'll just get another camera. but I can't get new legs and stuff. So I mean it was okay, but it to me it didn't work as a As that type of movie, as a found footage movie. speaker-0: So he directed it? speaker-1: And it was I think it's like two thousand sixteen, I wanna say I remember. And it was supposed to be like his return to form 'cause he had maybe done some movies that weren't very he had done the happening and then he had done that last airbender, which nobody liked. Yeah. Oof. speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: so it was like his kind of comeback movie. It was it was fine, it was all right, but it it I think it the my main problem with it with it was that it didn't work as a as a found footage movie. So speaker-0: Yeah. speaker-1: anyway, that's I I I watched those other couple of things. Wanted to mention those real quick. Alright. So what it what was on your agenda? speaker-0: So this movie came out this year, 2026, and you and I had mentioned we wanted to watch it, but things got crazy. It I don't think it stayed at the theater very long. it's directed by Angel Gomez Hernandez. Okay. Okay. You've seen a lot of his stuff lately. Okay. And actually it was released October sixteenth. So like A couple of weeks ago. But it's already out of the theater and I watched it speaker-1: You watched it? speaker-0: with my certain I watched the movie and it's starring Matilda Lutz, Greg Sulkin, Melina Matthews, and Chris speaker-1: You just named four of my favorite actors. speaker-0: anyway, Crawlers, the spider movie. speaker-1: That's the one we had talked about going see at the movies. And okay. Yeah. Okay. How how was it? speaker-0: Okay. speaker-1: Do you feel things crawling on you for the next two days after watching it? speaker-0: First of all, it wasn't horrible. Now you're saying I'm not saying it was speaker-1: As a movie it wasn't it wasn't a horrible movie. speaker-0: It it it just it's a creature feature, it's a spider creature feature. So you know, expectations were like way down here, you know. I had no expectations for this movie. And I popped some popcorn and I was like, let's watch crawlers, I'm crazy. Dude, speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: I had a blah I had a smile on my face the whole damn time, except for the few times where I'm like speaker-1: Yeah. So you know back rewind just a little bit. Fun fact about Nelson and producer Nick. Nelson and producer Nick do not like spiders. speaker-0: Yeah, we don't we don't really do speaker-1: Spiders very well. So anything spider related is is quite creepy and I think you've summed it up very well when you said Yeah. speaker-0: Yeah, as we say down here it gives you the speaker-1: Phones, yeah. I I understand that. So just just a little backstory for the folks out there. speaker-0: And you know, when we were real when we were kids, Chad and I, like, spiders didn't bother us. I can remember capturing what we call banana spiders, but they're just the big garden spiders, the big yellow and black ones. speaker-1: Which is why I don't park. speaker-0: Would capture them. We would capture those big suckers and like put them in ant piles and see how long it would take for ants to kill them and stuff. So it didn't bother us until the movie Arachnophobia came out. speaker-1: Which I've never seen. I've never seen arachnophobia. speaker-0: God. It's a horror comedy, just like this one. And but that freaked me out with spiders at that point. because that came out when we were what nine or ten, maybe eighty-nine or ninety something like that. And it just it creeped me out. And ever since then, I haven't been a big fan of spiders. Now I'm not as bad as I used to be, but I still don't want them crawling on me. speaker-1: Right. You want to know where they are at all times. speaker-0: Yeah. Correct. Correct. So it's it's almost like a siege movie because this girl, it the main character, what's her name? Her name is Serena. That's Matilda Lutz, and she is the handyman or kind of person that takes care of this apartment complex. You know, she kind of does everything, fixes things and whatnot. And she ends up becoming your main hero during this spider infestation. And speaker-1: Was it just a random spider infestation or is there some type of speaker-0: That's what I was about to get to. So this this tenant, he comes back, they show him coming back from a trip on a airplane and everything. He gets home and he's sick, you know, he's coughing, he's sweating or whatever. And he I'm gonna give away it's minor spoilers. I'm not gonna give too much away, but the way the spiders end up in the apartment complex is he had gotten bit apparently, and they laid eggs in his skin. And when he died, they all came out this nasty boil on his back. And then and you know, millions of spiders or whatever. So that's how it started. speaker-1: Let me tell you, having having you had said that, have you ever we had a spider one time at our our when we lived in speaker-0: Yes. speaker-1: And this was inside the house and they went when I tell you I did not sleep for a week because there was no way to get all. I don't know where they all went. It's it looks like It was like a 'cause you it was like a cloud dissipating. Except it was alive and so okay, I'm sorry. speaker-0: Yes, I have done that same exact thing. I don't remember if it was in my in my when we lived in Maurice or if it happened when I was living in my apartment. But I do remember we squished it and they went everywhere. We were like, my God. yes, it's the wolf spiders around here in Louisiana and the babies all speaker-1: I'm gonna I'm gonna go sleep at your house tonight. speaker-0: The upstairs, the man cave or the average home theaters. speaker-1: Doesn't matter. Sorry. speaker-0: So anyway, they get before they but before they realize it's a spider infestation, the C D C or whomever thinks that it's like an outbreak because of the people dying, and so they lock that speaker-1: Like a viral, a medical thing. speaker-0: Like a virus thing. Yeah. And then the girl sees a giant arachnid and it just look, it does a lot of the typical creature feature spider tropes. the the the in the trailer they have the girl sleeping and the spider is like swinging and his his little la his leg touches her lip and she just kind of and it starts swinging again and damn it. And that was the time where I was like speaker-1: no. That's gonna have to say though, that's really clever about you know, it's a spider infestation. They think it's something, you know, medical, some type of outbreak, so they lock everything down. I that I'll I like that. That's that's really clever. speaker-0: Yeah. And they so they can't get out. And then they're able to get word about that, it's spider. So then everything kinda changes. But it's it it was a good time now. It gets really, really ridiculous. speaker-1: Really? speaker-0: Really, really ridiculous. let me let me let's see. I wanna give something away here. So there's one of the tenants, she's like a a dominatrix lady. So speaker-1: I what speaker-0: her closet is full of What's that? Her closet is full of thick latex that apparently fangs cannot punch through. So if you kinda getting what I'm saying here. So it it my god, it it goes it goes in place. speaker-1: A suit of armor. speaker-0: What but what's what's good about it is it's played seriously, it's not like Resident Evil where they were making jokes and trying to make it funny. This is they made it they they kept it straight, but the things that were happening were funny, right? speaker-1: Which is the best the best comedy speaker-0: It's a good little treat. It's worth a watch rental speaker-1: Okay. speaker-0: at most if you rent it for like three or four bucks. Or if you wait till excuse me, it inevitably inevitably ends up on HBO Max. speaker-1: Somewhere. speaker-0: It'll stream somewhere. You watch it then, but it's it's a good time. Like I I really did enjoy it. It's it's stupid. I like creature features. I'm a sucker for creature features. I give creature features all the leeway in the world because speaker-1: You can't ridiculous in by nature. Right. Yeah. speaker-0: Right. Lake Placid, all these crazy Cujo all all this just n I I love that stuff. That's that's probably one of my favorite horrors. speaker-1: I remember the trailer for this coming out and me sending it to you and we were like daring each other to go watch it. Are we gonna go watch it in the theater? Let's go watch it at the theater. I don't know. So I I I I didn't realize it was it had even come out. I had forgotten about it. speaker-0: was gonna there, I thought they might have played a little more into a horror aspect of it, but it was more of a suspense trying to survive the infestation thing rather than horror, I guess. But it it it definitely goes full creature feature, it's it's just a lot of fun. speaker-1: I wanna see it. I really want to see it. That's good. Yeah, I was not expecting speaker-0: The acting and the direct the directing was really good. He he did a good job. and I remember I watched the the site that I watched it on, they just do two channel stereo, but man, it was it was rocking in here. So I'm sure on a good five point one soundtrack, once it comes out streaming, it's it's gonna have good surround effect. speaker-1: Now, did the spiders at any point I know in arachnophobia, which again I've never seen, but they have they have vocal abilities. They didn't they like we like they screamed or whatever. Did the spiders speaker-0: They may have thrown a little something in there. Funny speaker-1: yeah that's so fun speaker-0: type thing. They they may I think they may have, and I think I remember saying, look, it's it's vocalizing. speaker-1: Spot is they actually do that. I don't know. I don't think they do though. speaker-0: And it has a a alien or xenomorph mentality or whatchall hive yeah thing where there's like a queen and she can kinda control and tell the and yeah, they do that. So it's speaker-1: Okay, well I really I really want to see this when I get a chance. speaker-0: So as a in an official rating, quality wise movie, it's probably a five, five and a half. Okay. But if I'm gonna rate it on fun, it's like a seven. it it's a good time. It's it's stupid. You gotta know what you're getting into, but it's it it was fun. I I speaker-1: I'm speaker-0: kind of really had a good time with it. I laughed out loud a few times. I even did like speaker-1: I'm sold. I wanna I wanna see it. I wanna see it. Well yeah, speaker-0: So that's really all I can say without giving away too too many spoilers, but you don't have you you don't have to go very far to figure it out. speaker-1: Well that's good. I I wanna see that. Yeah, I remember when we saw the previews for that initially and I completely forgot about it. Didn't even realize it had been released. speaker-0: And it didn't, the whole spider other than that, I think that once there's a no, there's a couple of others that cause the spiders do certain things that I don't want to give away because that's cool. But the the one with the thing crawling and then you know, of course a person has one on their back crawling and they don't know it, and you're like speaker-1: You know it, but they don't speaker-0: Or they're reaching where they can't see and their hands are close to the spiders. is it gonna get them or is it not gonna get them? That type of stuff. speaker-1: stuff. Yeah, I don't they they must not have marketed that because I don't did it play locally, I wonder. yeah, they must not have marketed it at all. speaker-0: I was looking through my source speaker-1: Yeah. speaker-0: and I just saw it. I was like, I'm gonna watch that. speaker-1: Yeah, that's awesome. I'm glad you came across it. I definitely want to check it out. Yeah, that's a good one. speaker-0: So I shall be watching this probably this weekend. speaker-1: man, I haven't seen that in a speaker-0: Four K of the Fighters. It's a it's a fun little movie. I watched it maybe like I just got the Blu ray like two or three years ago. And then now this comes out, so speaker-1: I can give you my Yeah, I've only seen it the once and it I might as well have I I remember it's Michael J. Fox is in it, is that right? Or Lee Ermi, I think, has an appearance at some point. That's speaker-0: Basically he's a an exterminator, but for ghosts, right? But here's the caveat. He's a con artist. Okay. He works with the ghost. speaker-1: Okay. speaker-0: They go do a fake haunting and he comes in comes in. speaker-1: Saves day and makes a bunch of money. speaker-0: Yeah, in the trailer he said, I can get rid of folks, but whew. speaker-1: It's not gonna be cheap. Yeah. Yeah. speaker-0: And then of course he runs into some a real scenario, a real situation. And I won't tell you how he's able to see the ghost. Like you'll you'll see all that when you watch it. speaker-1: That's the I had no recollection of the story. I knew it had something to do with ghosts, but that's that's as far as I remember. I saw it the one time years and years ago. Probably spoiler alert. speaker-0: Arlie Ermy plays speaker-1: Does he play a military a military guy? speaker-0: He plays a drill instructor. Okay. speaker-1: That's speaker-0: Yes, he plays a military. speaker-1: I'm I wonder how he did, 'cause that's kinda you know that's his He's great. speaker-0: It's a good movie. It's a Peter Jackson movie. speaker-1: Peter Jackson? Like Lord of the Rings Peter Jackson? okay. Okay. I didn't I definitely didn't know that. Yep. speaker-0: Sure enough. Man, I got so many movies I need to watch. So my Masters of the Universe came in. Soylent Green came in a while back. I still haven't watched 28 Days Later. What else do I have here that I haven't watched yet? Slither. You're supposed to come to the house with me and watch Slither. So we got we got plenty to do, man. We got some speaker-1: Well, we could have watched it a last weekend or a couple of weekends ago had we not sat on our asses for eight hours straight and watched Crystal Lake in its entirety. speaker-0: We watched the entire series in one s we did. We got a little speaker-1: But we were gonna watch what two episodes, three at the most? Watch four speaker-0: No, we were gonna watch because Jeff and I the day be the day before Jeff and I had watched three. So I was like, come to the house, we need to watch at least four 'cause Jeff is gonna come back. And then we watched the whole speaker-1: Yeah, we couldn't couldn't couldn't couldn't stop couldn't stop watching it. We had to see what happened next. Yeah. speaker-0: And we will be doing another round table discussion on it. And we're all gonna talk about Yeah, we'll talk about the show. We'll talk about what each one of us predicted and what we got right and what we didn't get right, what we feel they got right and didn't get right, that type of stuff. Cause there's I see I I was telling you, certain things I know people are gonna have a problem with, and sure enough, the internet's full of all that stuff that I predicted. So It'll be it'll be a fun little speaker-1: Yeah, we need to try to get everybody together and do that. Everyone's so darn busy all the time. But yeah, that was speaker-0: And I and I have to say, man, even though I had fun watching that in one day, I really wish these networks would go back to doing one episode a week. Because you can't have conversation. You can't talk about you can't anticipate the next week. It's all like I mean, look, you and I did The Last of Us. And even though that show was very disappointing, it was still fun to predict, try to predict what was going to happen the next week, talk about it. What we liked and didn't like. speaker-1: And I I agree, that's especially for something like this, that's it's a lot better. speaker-0: especially a big speaker-1: watch and kind of evaluate and then reevaluate and then yeah, like you said, make predictions for what's gonna happen next and all that. speaker-0: think about it. We wa I watched the whole series twice already. pretty much back to back. And there's still things I'm like, so what happened? Because it you don't have time to marinate, you just just watching it so fast that you you forget and you have to go back and look at each episode's synopsis to remember what happened in each one. speaker-1: And we're not we're not getting any younger, so the memory is speaker-0: Exactly. The old the old great speaker-1: the old steel traps are getting a little rusty. speaker-0: Mm-hmm. And look, not to brag, Nick and I used to kick some butt in movie trivia. Mm-hmm. Remember it'd be like me and you against everybody and we would kill everybody. Now speaker-1: The recall has slowed down a little bit. It's it's one of those where speaker-0: Especially on the the where you gotta have the answer. speaker-1: You know it, but like it you can't speaker-0: It won't come out. You're like, yeah. It happens on here where I'm talking about actors that I've been watching my entire life. And then when we start, who is that? And we're like speaker-1: Just happened with that Max von Sidow, S Sidow, whatever is h however you say his name. Like recognized him immediately and could recall his name when I was looking at his face, but sitting here put on the spot couldn't do it. So yeah. Anyway. Yeah. speaker-0: All right, well I guess that'll wrap up the spooky season for us and we'll be back next week with something. speaker-1: Yeah, we'll come up with something something good for the folks. Looking forward to the next one. speaker-0: All right. Well, guess that's it. subscribe, tell your friends, and we'll catch you all in the next one. speaker-1: And seeing did you
