- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Welcome back to the North Florida Sports Network.
- 0:25Speaker 2: It's late night, saturday night.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We're going to react to the Miami game.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Here comes Virginia.
- 0:38Speaker 2: They almost upset Miami.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We're going to talk to Miami contributor Justin about that game.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Sure, he's giving up on Cristobal.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I'm sure he was going to tell me that he's done with Miami.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But really though, in a game that you think that Miami should take care of business, they totally let Virginia hang around.
- 1:01Speaker 2: You saw what Virginia did the week prior, but they did survive 29, 26 and overtime.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We'll talk to Justin about that.
- 1:21Speaker 2: 6 and 2, the hurricanes are now.
- 1:23Speaker 2: How good do you feel about the 6 and 2 team?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Last time we talked, florida was up 7 0 on Georgia.
- 1:33Speaker 2: We were reacting to FSU's big win over Wake and Jimi Rainer was talking hey, florida's up 7.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Nothing, I picked Florida, but, oh God, the rest of the game happened in.
- 1:48Speaker 2: The Bulldogs bit the Gators and the Gators could not get back up.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Georgia's just playing games, the rest of college football.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Sometimes it feels like they were able to beat Florida.
- 2:06Speaker 2: But we're going to talk about Miami with our Miami contributor Justin.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Keep it locked, let's get started.
- 2:17Speaker 2: It's your reaction.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Miami, here comes Virginia.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Miami is the worst six and two team in the history of six teams.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Man, you got to dodge with the wind.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And I was just kidding.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I was like oh Miami, now they, they're going to.
- 2:44Speaker 2: They got Virginia on the schedule.
- 2:46Speaker 2: They're going to learn from this.
- 2:48Speaker 2: They're not going to hang out, they're going to lose team back.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Hang around.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I have a very Virginia just popped hard by beating North Carolina.
- 2:56Speaker 1: This was obviously an easy game for Miami to come in and dominate at home, right.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And TVD showed up back in the lineup 20, 30, 163 and two picks.
- 3:13Speaker 1: It's so frustrating when you see like, as you're watching this game, um Reuben Bain Is a man against boys on the defensive line.
- 3:27Speaker 1: This Fletcher kid is a beast of a running back.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You've got Colby Young, not Cam Kinshawns.
- 3:37Speaker 1: You got James Williams and, oh my God, dude every time.
- 3:40Speaker 1: James Williams.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Every time James Williams made a tackle on defense over the middle, I felt like he was like the older brother standing over the little brother.
- 3:51Speaker 1: But then I was also wondering why he was making that tackle 15 yards.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I feel what's up?
- 3:59Speaker 2: What happened?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Man?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Tell me about it, because I did not see this game.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Miami has the best athletes on the field and they there.
- 4:10Speaker 1: It's discombobulated coaching.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Well, because Virginia came out with the early touchdown in the first quarter and get up seven nothing and a field goal.
- 4:21Speaker 2: We'll get up 10 nothing.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So what?
- 4:23Speaker 2: I mean?
- 4:23Speaker 2: What, what?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Why is it the second quarter?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Miami hits the scoreboard with a field goal for a 47 yards, with four or three to go in the second quarter.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Borealist, borealist, by the way.
- 4:38Speaker 2: That's the first, yeah, no, but that's the first points on the board.
- 4:41Speaker 2: What's going on with TVD?
- 4:44Speaker 1: TVD looked awful tonight.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Awful, awful awful I thought.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I thought last game I was like just bench him, Stick with the young guy.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I mean I was calling for Emory.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I was calling for Emory Williams.
- 4:59Speaker 1: The kids Get to my identity there.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You know, run the ball.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I know it doesn't.
- 5:03Speaker 2: It doesn't?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Shannon Dawson but have an identity.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but but run the ball.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Help your quarterback out.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You know, rely on the offensive line.
- 5:14Speaker 2: That's supposed to be Chris's identity.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Run the ball.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Oregon's identity is running the football.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Embrace running the football.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Right Embrace running the football.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Because there is one thing that I did notice, and I've noticed in every single Miami game this year the offensive line is freaking elite.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I mean, tvd has all kinds of time to throw the ball, he just makes shitty decisions.
- 5:44Speaker 2: You know, florida, florida states can a boat race.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Miami.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Well, we'll get there when that comes, but TVD was 20, a 30, 163 yards.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Two picks.
- 6:00Speaker 1: He felt worse than 20, a 30.
- 6:01Speaker 1: He felt like 10 of 30.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 1: That's how he felt.
- 6:06Speaker 2: What's the problem?
- 6:07Speaker 2: What do you think it is Like?
- 6:07Speaker 2: What's your first reaction?
- 6:10Speaker 1: He was making bad decisions, Um, and I I honestly I think the uh, like the route schemes, Um are not good, because there's no reason why our receivers should not be able to get open, and I mean, like, without me seeing the overhead, you know, like film breakdown of the way the plays were going.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I can't understand why our guys aren't getting open.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Well, you know, Virginia upset North Carolina last week and they came down to Miami and got up 10 to zero.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Oh, virginia played great.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I mean as good as Virginia can play, but Miami's Miami gonna take that.
- 6:55Speaker 2: When's it Miami gonna take that step and be to Virginia, be to Georgia Tech?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Exactly Like.
- 7:01Speaker 2: this is just like what you know, just joking about oh, they got Virginia though, so you never know.
- 7:06Speaker 2: And then you look up, it's 10 to three at halftime.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You're like well, I mean what the hell is going on.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Based on what I saw tonight, nc State beats us down next week, so what's the problem?
- 7:21Speaker 2: here man.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I, it's coaching.
- 7:25Speaker 2: You think so?
- 7:26Speaker 1: It's coaching dude, because it's not the athletes.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It's not, it's possible Can recruit.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Oh God, dude, I started yelling at crystal ball, at uh at the end of the uh at the end of the game when we were tied up.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Uh, miami got the ball back with like 35 seconds and all three time outs at the end of the fourth quarter.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And what do you think we did?
- 7:53Speaker 1: We took a knee.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Hey, figured out how to take a knee.
- 7:58Speaker 1: He figured it out when he actually shouldn't have been taking a knee.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, because we were on a roll at that point and he's like all right, let's take a knee.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Hey, you know, let's calm it down, take a knee, take a knee.
- 8:15Speaker 1: You know, we definitely don't need to take a knee when we can just run the clock out.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I hate Mario crystal ball.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Wow, I mean the big.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I mean Miami moves to six and two on the year.
- 8:30Speaker 1: The worst six and two team in the history of six and two teams.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Wow, we're terrible, we're terrible.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, we, uh, we finished six and six.
- 8:43Speaker 2: So you don't think Miami wins another game.
- 8:46Speaker 1: No, no, based on what I saw from NC state against Clemson today.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Uh, nc state meets us.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Uh, florida state's going to vote.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Raise us.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Uh, um, oh, no.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Well, this quarterback, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, this quarterback.
- 9:00Speaker 1: This is why uh Florida state's going to beat us down.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Um, this quarterback from Virginia uh, he killed us with the uh off script.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Uh, scramble plays and that's what Jordan Travis is best at Right, and Jordan Travis is probably going to score three or four touchdowns.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Tony musket yeah, 24, 38.
- 9:26Speaker 2: You did have a pay.
- 9:28Speaker 2: No touchdowns, though, for Tony.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but all his big plays were on scrambles and Jordan Travis is way better than Tony musket.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah, my Collins for Virginia had two rushing touchdowns, oh yeah, oh, and the receiver Washington from Virginia killed us tonight.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Well, you know, he had 12 catches, 152 yards, that's what it looks like about right yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I just liked.
- 10:01Speaker 1: The kid from North Carolina killed us and, just like he on Coleman, is going to kill us.
- 10:06Speaker 2: So what you know what?
- 10:07Speaker 2: What's alarming to me is coming off such a big win over Clemson, who has been top dog in the conference.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Then you come out down, and then you come out, and you know, I know there was going to be a crowd there, but this is where you want to see Miami take control and dominate, and it was not that they'd hang on for every just to get the win.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you come up and you go out.
- 10:37Speaker 1: You go up 10, three, you don't go down 10 three Right.
- 10:41Speaker 2: So you're done on crystal ball, huh.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Crystal ball needs to be our recruiting coordinator.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Well, that's not going to happen.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And that's it.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what he's good at.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I mean, just ask Oregon.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I mean, look at Oregon right now after crystal ball left.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Oregon might be one of the best.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I mean Oregon with the huge win today.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I called that one in the country Big win in Utah.
- 11:10Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Well, let's get out of here, let's go.
- 11:14Speaker 2: What's your top for?
- 11:21Speaker 1: I mean, I give it to me.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I would say number one Georgia, Wow.
- 11:29Speaker 2: How about that game?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Today Cocktail party, we're doing instant reaction in Florida with the early touchdown to go up seven.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Nothing and that's about.
- 11:38Speaker 2: That was a wrap.
- 11:39Speaker 1: That was about it.
- 11:40Speaker 2: That was about a wrap.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I mean Georgia is just playing around with the whole college football world.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It seems like once they get like I'd like to watch Georgia play Oregon.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well, what's your top for?
- 11:56Speaker 1: I go, I go, I go.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Number one we got to go to Georgia, number one.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I agree, but I don't know if they're be there.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but I, they're there for me.
- 12:06Speaker 2: They're my number one.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I'm with you, let's go to who we got to.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I go Washington.
- 12:10Speaker 2: What Washington beat Oregon and Oregon looks like the best Right.
- 12:19Speaker 1: This is where I go.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I test on you and I say no.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I was like give me a fish, you two, I'll take it, because they beat.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I was just thinking that too.
- 12:31Speaker 2: You know, I actually think I wouldn't be surprised, I wouldn't be.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Okay, I'm fishing three.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I'm fishing three, all right, I got.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I got, I got number one Georgia.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I got number one.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I got number one, I got number one, I got number one, I got number one, I got number one Georgia.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Georgia one.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I got number two Washington because of their win over Oregon.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I got, I got.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I got.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I got FSE three and I got Michigan four.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Okay, Cheating ass mission.
- 12:54Speaker 2: We'll see if that how, like the committee takes into the latest stories.
- 12:59Speaker 2: You know human element.
- 13:01Speaker 2: We'll see how that figures in cheating or no.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Cheating man wins or wins.
- 13:05Speaker 2: They are wins, but they haven't beaten anybody.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I'm here's, my here's, my guess.
- 13:09Speaker 2: I got Ohio State's going to be one.
- 13:12Speaker 2: They've beaten Penn State and Notre Dame.
- 13:15Speaker 2: They got the two best wins, I guess, I think.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I think Ohio State's going to be one, I think Florida State's going to be two, just based on wins.
- 13:25Speaker 2: I think number three will be Georgia and number four will be Michigan.
- 13:29Speaker 2: That's my guess.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Now I would put Georgia at one, because you know you're damn two times.
- 13:36Speaker 2: You gotta beat the champ Right.
- 13:40Speaker 2: You gotta beat the champ, well, hey man, we got NFL tomorrow and thank you for coming on and we'll talk to you tomorrow and we'll talk to you next time right here on the North Florida sports network.
