- 0:26Speaker 1: Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop
- 0:33Speaker 1: from La Quinta, California. I just came from three days
- 0:37Speaker 1: of stagecoach and let me tell you, it was so fun.
- 0:41Speaker 1: The weather was pretty nice, except at night it got
- 0:44Speaker 1: very cold and one night I was wearing shorts because
- 0:47Speaker 1: I had to give up the cowboy boots and I
- 0:50Speaker 1: thought I better wear shorts to make these ugly black
- 0:53Speaker 1: tennis shoes work because the night before I was wearing
- 0:55Speaker 1: cowboy boots. And when I came home, I felt like
- 0:58Speaker 1: I was Natalia Grace walking around the house. Like I
- 1:01Speaker 1: was like, hi, daddy, hold me. I can't walk. Like
- 1:04Speaker 1: it was Natalia Grace, by the way, it's called All
- 1:08Speaker 1: American Family. It's on Hulu. It's so fricking good. Ellen Pompeo,
- 1:11Speaker 1: the guy, what's his name? Dunlap plays the dad. If
- 1:15Speaker 1: you were obsessed with the documentary and all the times
- 1:18Speaker 1: I talked about it, this is about the little Ukrainian
- 1:20Speaker 1: orphan girl and the family adopted her, thought that she
- 1:24Speaker 1: was older and And at the beginning, it's the mom's
- 1:28Speaker 1: perspective where she's like, who is this like demon child
- 1:31Speaker 1: trying to kill my family who has her period? And
- 1:33Speaker 1: then another part is her with her, because she has
- 1:38Speaker 1: this dwarfism and she has this, she needed operations that
- 1:41Speaker 1: her feet were hurting so much that she was taking
- 1:44Speaker 1: off these socks that were bloody and hiding them. And
- 1:48Speaker 1: that's what the mom thought was her period. So anyway,
- 1:52Speaker 1: you watch it. We still don't really know her age.
- 1:54Speaker 1: We still don't know her. It's like, but it's really juicy.
- 1:57Speaker 1: But I felt like that after doing two days of
- 2:00Speaker 1: cowboy boots. So I was so cold and the merch
- 2:04Speaker 1: line was so long and I knew they'd be out
- 2:05Speaker 1: of sweatpants because it was so cold. And I just
- 2:08Speaker 1: was like going to get a drink because we had
- 2:10Speaker 1: artists pass. So that's a little bit nicer bathrooms, less
- 2:13Speaker 1: people in line to get drinks and food. And that's
- 2:16Speaker 1: where I ran into Kristen Cavallari. I ran into Sheena
- 2:20Speaker 1: and Brock. Who else did I see? Tracy Tudor and
- 2:24Speaker 1: the famous makeup artist Chris Dillon, who had the issue
- 2:30Speaker 1: with Dorit not paying him or whatever that alleged story was.
- 2:34Speaker 1: They're all good now. And so that was kind of
- 2:38Speaker 1: fun running into them. Dorit filed for divorce after PK
- 2:43Speaker 1: was seen making out outside of Cipriani in Los Angeles
- 2:47Speaker 1: with this blonde girl who was on Survivor five years ago.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And who allegedly is a sommelier or something. That's what
- 2:54Speaker 1: I heard. I don't know if it's true. I just
- 2:55Speaker 1: think it's interesting if that's her career. But it doesn't
- 2:58Speaker 1: really matter if your partner or your boyfriend doesn't drink
- 3:01Speaker 1: and you are in the liquor business. But just thought
- 3:04Speaker 1: that it was interesting. And so Dorit has filed. She
- 3:09Speaker 1: was photographed the next day dropping her kids off at
- 3:13Speaker 1: dance class. PK and her were at a baseball game
- 3:16Speaker 1: in very far apart. I guess watching their son play baseball.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's going to be juicy. Kyle was at stagecoach. However,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I didn't run into her. I don't know if she
- 3:27Speaker 1: was with Morgan Wade or not, but that will be fun.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Maybe Morgan will play next year. There's all these different stages. However,
- 3:34Speaker 1: the artist passes only gets you into the main stage
- 3:37Speaker 1: up close where you can stand up and dance, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: it's not crowded, and it really is great. But your
- 3:44Speaker 1: eyes are still kind of drawn to the screen no
- 3:46Speaker 1: matter how close you are. So if you're thinking about
- 3:49Speaker 1: going to stagecoach, I personally, you know, I think you
- 3:54Speaker 1: can have a lot of fun in just the general
- 3:56Speaker 1: and have your chair and your blanket and just like
- 3:59Speaker 1: enjoy the beauty or there's a lot of walking. So
- 4:03Speaker 1: that's why I was kind of envious of the campers.
- 4:05Speaker 1: If you've got a nice RV, I think that's also
- 4:07Speaker 1: like a really good way to go because you're close
- 4:09Speaker 1: and you want to like take a nap because sometimes
- 4:11Speaker 1: you want to enjoy the day, but then you're like, okay,
- 4:13Speaker 1: the main stage, the headliner doesn't come till 10 and
- 4:16Speaker 1: I've been here now. since four on my feet or
- 4:20Speaker 1: you're wearing the, or maybe you don't wear cowboy boots
- 4:23Speaker 1: for part of it and change it for later. Like it's,
- 4:26Speaker 1: but the music was great. Jelly roll was great. Goo
- 4:28Speaker 1: Goo Dolls, really fun. They have like, you know, not
- 4:31Speaker 1: all necessarily country people, Lana Del Rey. So we had
- 4:36Speaker 1: a real fun week and Brandy and Julie came and
- 4:39Speaker 1: we had such a fun brunch yesterday. And then Shannon
- 4:42Speaker 1: and I did it again yesterday. So I was pretty tired,
- 4:45Speaker 1: but I'm good.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Looking for a.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Getaway that's truly special? Ireland's Blue Book has just what
- 4:51Speaker 4: you need. From country houses to boutique hotels, from romantic

- 5:05Speaker 4: luxury escape.
- 5:07Speaker 1: And there's this crazy interview with Bill Belichick, okay? And
- 5:12Speaker 1: the 24-year-old Jordan, the girlfriend. And he's doing an interview with...
- 5:17Speaker 1: And he has, like, this weird T-shirt on with, like,
- 5:20Speaker 1: holes on it. But I think she was trying to
- 5:22Speaker 1: hip him up and gave him that shirt. You know
- 5:23Speaker 1: how people wear, like, shirts, but they have, like, curated holes?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Other people think he's, like, just an old man that's wearing, like,
- 5:33Speaker 1: an old shirt with holes in it. But anyway, he's
- 5:35Speaker 1: doing the interview, and Jordan, the 24-year-old former cheerleader that
- 5:38Speaker 1: he's been dating for, like, six months, is, like, chiming
- 5:42Speaker 1: in and getting up and, like, talking to him in
- 5:44Speaker 1: between interviews. And maybe she doesn't know that this stuff
- 5:47Speaker 1: isn't going to be cut out. Maybe she does. Maybe
- 5:48Speaker 1: she's like a genius. And a lot of people are
- 5:51Speaker 1: thinking it looks a little elder abuse-ish. And she, they said, yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 1: how did you meet? And she's like, oh, no, no,
- 5:59Speaker 1: we're not going to talk about how we met. And
- 6:01Speaker 1: I'm like, so I look it up and it says
- 6:04Speaker 1: on Wikipedia, they met on a flight. That's a story
- 6:07Speaker 1: they're giving. Maybe that isn't the true story. And they
- 6:10Speaker 1: know in this day and age, someone's going to be
- 6:11Speaker 1: able to find it out. Maybe someone introduced them that
- 6:17Speaker 1: who knows. Okay. But you know, he does have three kids.
- 6:21Speaker 1: His daughter's 41 and his sons are 38 and 36
- 6:24Speaker 1: and she is 24. And I mean, it's a 50
- 6:26Speaker 1: year age difference and it's pretty fascinating, but clearly she's
- 6:29Speaker 1: running the show. Now she's on all the emails. But
- 6:33Speaker 1: I also just feel like when you're that old as
- 6:35Speaker 1: a man, whether your girlfriend is 24 or 74 or
- 6:40Speaker 1: A lot of men just succumb to the woman. And
- 6:43Speaker 1: that's what happens, too, sometimes with, like, stepmoms where they're like,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I couldn't, Casey Kasem's daughter, like, couldn't see him anymore
- 6:51Speaker 1: because the dad was just so, like, beaten by just
- 6:56Speaker 1: this awful woman that they're just like, whatever, just do it.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I'm sorry you're my kid, but I can't, like, fight
- 7:01Speaker 1: with this woman. So if I was the children, the
- 7:03Speaker 1: adult children, I'd be concerned. Watch this interview or at
- 7:06Speaker 1: least the clips of it. Our girl Jojo Siwa. very
- 7:12Speaker 1: proud gay. Uh, she does a thing called gay pop.
- 7:15Speaker 1: She's an icon and she had several girlfriends. She's always like, Oh,
- 7:21Speaker 1: maybe one of my exes, like talking about her exes.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And she was supposedly engaged to, um, this girl who
- 7:29Speaker 1: goes by they, them. Anyway, she got out of the
- 7:32Speaker 1: big brother house, UK version. We already saw that, um,
- 7:38Speaker 1: Mickey Rourke, the old man with the scary face, who's
- 7:40Speaker 1: the actor, he got kicked out and he had said
- 7:43Speaker 1: to her, you're a lesbian. Well, for, you know, after
- 7:46Speaker 1: four days with me, you won't anymore. Well, guess what?
- 7:48Speaker 1: She says, she's not a lesbian anymore. He got kicked out,
- 7:50Speaker 1: but then she started flirting with this guy and they
- 7:53Speaker 1: became so close and big brother, you watch everything. His name's, um,
- 7:57Speaker 1: Chris Higg, Chris Hughes from love Island. And, um, I
- 8:03Speaker 1: didn't know who he was when I was watching the clips.
- 8:04Speaker 1: And at first I thought he was gay too. And
- 8:06Speaker 1: they were just like forming a lovely bond. But I
- 8:08Speaker 1: guess if he was on Love Island, he's straight. Anyway,
- 8:11Speaker 1: now she says I'm not a lesbian, but I think
- 8:15Speaker 1: she's still queer. I don't know. But someone said, Heather,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you had said this might be the first generation where
- 8:23Speaker 1: people's first relationships romantically might be same sex. And then
- 8:28Speaker 1: they actually realized maybe they aren't really same. that for
- 8:32Speaker 1: a lifetime. I don't know, or they're fluid or whatever. Um,
- 8:37Speaker 1: in my day, everybody that was gay, like still went
- 8:39Speaker 1: to a prom with the opposite sex and, and we
- 8:42Speaker 1: knew it, but we were like, at least he's fun
- 8:44Speaker 1: and good time to talk to now, who knows, whatever. Um,
- 8:49Speaker 1: so that was juicy. Kim Kardashian's trial for the older
- 8:53Speaker 1: men that robbed her at gunpoint in France of her jewelry.
- 8:57Speaker 1: When she was married to Kanye, they took the diamond
- 9:00Speaker 1: that she got from Kanye and like $ 10 million worth
- 9:03Speaker 1: of other jewels. That's when she was by herself. Her
- 9:07Speaker 1: bodyguard had gone with her two sisters to the nightclub
- 9:11Speaker 1: and she was alone in the hotel room. Somehow they
- 9:13Speaker 1: got in and they were all like older. Well, they're
- 9:16Speaker 1: really old now because this was nine years ago. And
- 9:19Speaker 1: I was like, why did this take so long? And
- 9:21Speaker 1: there was some reports that it was her schedule. I
- 9:25Speaker 1: really don't know. I don't know how this would affect
- 9:28Speaker 1: the France trial system, but they have them now. And
- 9:32Speaker 1: also one of them just died, but there's like nine
- 9:35Speaker 1: of them. And one of them just died yesterday, but
- 9:37Speaker 1: the trial is starting and she is set to come
- 9:41Speaker 1: and testify. So that is going to be, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 1: still very, I'm sure, chilling and dramatic, especially because at
- 9:48Speaker 1: the time she was, when she was with Kanye, someone,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you know, told him and he left the concert and
- 9:54Speaker 1: it felt very protective and quite lovely that he was
- 9:59Speaker 1: so upset and got right over to Paris and now
- 10:03Speaker 1: of course he's lost his mind in my opinion he
- 10:06Speaker 1: has some weird group that's in a warehouse near the
- 10:10Speaker 1: Larchmont area of Los Angeles and like doing weird military
- 10:16Speaker 1: singing and like screaming and there's like Nazi stuff and
- 10:20Speaker 1: it's just horrible. He also tweeted something about a song
- 10:26Speaker 1: that has to do with the fact that he as
- 10:29Speaker 1: a kid was giving his cousin oral. It's like so
- 10:33Speaker 1: dark and insane. And so this is probably not only
- 10:38Speaker 1: going to bring up a lot of emotions, but also
- 10:42Speaker 1: The man that I'm sure she doesn't even recognize today
- 10:46Speaker 1: seemed to appear quite lovely at the time that she
- 10:49Speaker 1: needed him most. So that's like a crazy thing. Virginia Guffrey,
- 10:56Speaker 1: who was the person that was the face of the
- 11:00Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein saga. She was trafficked when she was young
- 11:06Speaker 1: by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and She is the one
- 11:12Speaker 1: who said that she was trafficked to Prince Andrew and
- 11:19Speaker 1: told that story and had the photo of them from
- 11:21Speaker 1: the nightclub. After the nightclub, when they were together, before
- 11:24Speaker 1: the thing happened, he said on BBC, that's not me.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I mean, he said that that photo was doctored because
- 11:32Speaker 1: I don't sweat like that. And he had like sweaty armpits.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I have some disease that causes me not to sweat.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It's so awful. And she was so brave in sharing
- 11:42Speaker 1: everything that she did over the years. She has passed.
- 11:47Speaker 1: They are saying it was suicide. And now her dad,
- 11:52Speaker 1: according to TMZ, wants the suicide to look into it,
- 11:55Speaker 1: wants to look into it and investigate it. What's really
- 11:59Speaker 1: weird is prior to this, she was with her husband
- 12:03Speaker 1: for over 20 something years. They had three kids. And
- 12:07Speaker 1: they were going through a divorce, and there was a
- 12:10Speaker 1: big custody battle. There was a restraining order that I
- 12:12Speaker 1: guess she violated, and then there was talk of him
- 12:16Speaker 1: trying to get custody of the kids. And then while
- 12:18Speaker 1: she was going through that, she got hit by a
- 12:22Speaker 1: bus or something, and then she came out and said,
- 12:27Speaker 1: the doctors say I have four days to live. And
- 12:30Speaker 1: then she supposedly ended her life. All very weird, but
- 12:36Speaker 1: also makes sense that her life was not in a
- 12:38Speaker 1: good place. And she also said that the husband that
- 12:42Speaker 1: she's divorcing was also abusive towards her during their marriage.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But of course, because she was the whistleblower of the
- 12:49Speaker 1: Epstein thing, basically, her testimony was so valuable throughout the
- 12:53Speaker 1: whole thing. And there's so many layers to it that
- 12:58Speaker 1: people are like, did she really? But I don't know
- 13:01Speaker 1: how she did it. I looked it up. I was like,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'm asking. They have not released that, how she died
- 13:11Speaker 1: or how they came to the conclusion that it was self-inflicted.
- 13:14Speaker 1: So that I don't know, but that was news. And
- 13:17Speaker 1: then Travis Kelsey, he supposedly stopped following Ryan Reynolds. And people,
- 13:26Speaker 1: this is through TMZ, and people are assuming it's because...
- 13:31Speaker 1: he's pissed or Taylor's pissed that by being her friend
- 13:36Speaker 1: and being talked as one of the two dragons that
- 13:39Speaker 1: she is going to be deposed in the Justin Baldoni lawsuit.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And so, you know, screw you. Why'd you get me
- 13:47Speaker 1: involved in this? Well, you're her friend. I mean, you're
- 13:49Speaker 1: her friend and you were there. And I mean, I guess, yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I'd be mad that she filed the lawsuit, but like, okay.
- 13:56Speaker 1: So very, um, all those things are, happening. And I
- 14:02Speaker 1: just watched Love Hotel, which I think is really good.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I just saw it on Peacock. I think it's on
- 14:07Speaker 1: Bravo and Peacock with Shannon Bedore, Ashley and Giselle from
- 14:14Speaker 1: Potomac and Countess Luann. And it's a beautiful setting. I've
- 14:22Speaker 1: It's good. Like, it's really good. And she spills some
- 14:27Speaker 1: scoop about that, but so much more and such juicy
- 14:30Speaker 1: stories that I've never heard, along with the fun that
- 14:33Speaker 1: she has of doing her cabaret and having many men.
- 14:35Speaker 1: And I think you're going to really love the interview.
- 14:39Speaker 1: So here is Countess Luann once again on Juicy Scoop.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. You guys are in
- 14:46Speaker 1: for a treat because I have a return favorite. not
- 14:50Speaker 1: just of Juicy Scoop, but of the world as international
- 14:53Speaker 1: cabaret star, actress, and of course, real housewife of New York,
- 14:58Speaker 1: Countess Lou Anne. Welcome back to Juicy Scoop.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Thanks, Heather. Always good to see you, darling. Looking fabulous
- 15:05Speaker 2: with those legs for days.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Well, I had to get cute for you. And I'm like,
- 15:11Speaker 1: I'm not just going to wear my leggings and my
- 15:13Speaker 1: sweats because I do. You'd be coming and you are.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You're in a fabulous jumpsuit.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I know. And I just gave you the name.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You said it was Rami?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Rami Brooke.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Rami Brooke.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Rami Brooke. I love this jumpsuit. I just got it yesterday.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I love it because it has a little sparkle, but
- 15:31Speaker 1: it's daytime. And it's so flattering.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Daytime chic.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And because in your shows, when you do your cabaret,
- 15:38Speaker 1: a big part of it are the outfits. And you
- 15:41Speaker 1: change several times. And that's always really fun. Are you
- 15:44Speaker 1: still wearing Giovanni?
- 15:45Speaker 2: I'm still wearing Giovanni. And you know, people don't understand
- 15:49Speaker 2: about my shows is that each show is different. So
- 15:52Speaker 2: I'm not doing the same show. It's an all new show. Um,
- 15:56Speaker 2: and yes, I'm still wearing Giovanni and, and different dresses
- 15:59Speaker 2: of course, and different outfits because you know, how we
- 16:03Speaker 2: do the cabaret is I pick a song that I
- 16:05Speaker 2: love and then I go, okay, now how am I
- 16:07Speaker 2: going to get, which I know my fans love too.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Cause it's like a big sing along as you know,
- 16:11Speaker 2: cause you've been to the show.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 2: And then I go, OK, well, how am I going
- 16:14Speaker 2: to get into this song with a story? So I
- 16:17Speaker 2: work that way.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:19Speaker 2: And then I get the story and then I have
- 16:21Speaker 2: to pick the perfect Giovanni dress that works with that.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Like I do Tina Turner. What's love got to do?
- 16:26Speaker 2: I'm not doing that on this tour. I did it
- 16:28Speaker 2: on Mary F. Kale. But for as example, you know,
- 16:32Speaker 2: I have to pick a dress that is short, fringes
- 16:36Speaker 2: and shows your legs for days.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:38Speaker 2: So that's how I pick my my outfits for the show.
- 16:41Speaker 1: It's so great. And you're here this Friday at the Wiltern,
- 16:46Speaker 1: which you've done now. Is this like the fourth time
- 16:48Speaker 1: you've been at the Wiltern?
- 16:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I played the Wiltern like three or four times now
- 16:51Speaker 2: and it's a big theater, you know, 2,500 seats. Um,
- 16:55Speaker 2: I remember when Andy did his anniversary show there, right.
- 16:57Speaker 2: For Bravo. I came out singing money anyway. So now
- 17:00Speaker 2: I'm headlining the Wiltern, which is where Madonna plays, which is,
- 17:03Speaker 2: it's just incredible for me. And, um, And I love
- 17:08Speaker 2: the venue. We're going to do an after party, of course,
- 17:10Speaker 2: for my special guest because I've got a lot of
- 17:12Speaker 2: Bravo Liberties coming. Yes. So it's going to be fun.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I'm going to see you there too, aren't I?
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I know.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I know you love to come.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Okay. So now let's get into– so you have your tours.
- 17:25Speaker 1: You're still after L.A. You've got a lot of other places.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You go back to the East Coast in Maine.
- 17:30Speaker 2: New York, Alexandria, Boston.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Philly.
- 17:34Speaker 1: So, but you, what I really want to talk to
- 17:37Speaker 1: you about is the show, the new show.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Oh, the Love Hotel.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Oh, wait, before we talk about Love Hotel. Yes. I
- 17:44Speaker 1: want to talk about this acting that you recently did
- 17:47Speaker 1: in the Murdoch Mysteries, which is like, what era is this?
- 17:52Speaker 2: It's the 1920s. It's like Downton Abbey, really, for the Canadians.
- 17:57Speaker 2: But it's indicated worldwide. So it's very popular in like
- 18:00Speaker 2: London and overseas.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Yes.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Um, and it was incredible to play this character. I
- 18:06Speaker 2: play the mayor's wife and the mayor is a cheat
- 18:08Speaker 2: and lying bastard. That's how they got me.
- 18:11Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:12Speaker 2: They're like, let's get the countess.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:13Speaker 2: So, um, so I play his wife and I'm also
- 18:16Speaker 2: an entertainer. So I'm traveling all the time because I'm
- 18:19Speaker 2: entertaining stages across the universe and he's the mayor. And, um,
- 18:24Speaker 2: so when we get to see each other, it's tumultuous
- 18:26Speaker 2: because I know he's having affairs and I don't care
- 18:29Speaker 2: because I'm a dynamic diva who's, you know, entertaining audiences
- 18:34Speaker 2: around the world. So it's kind of funny.
- 18:36Speaker 1: It's a timeless story.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Right? And it relates to my story.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 18:41Speaker 2: So I love this character that I get to play.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And I just hope they're going to keep the mayor
- 18:44Speaker 2: along for a while so I can keep going back.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So how did this work? Was it just your agent
- 18:50Speaker 1: called and they were like, we have an offer? Do
- 18:51Speaker 1: you have to audition?
- 18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they reached out to me. That's how I got
- 18:54Speaker 2: Law & Order. You know, when I did Law &
- 18:56Speaker 2: Order years ago with Marcia Hegarty, I was filming for Housewives.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And I got a call that the casting director of, of, um,
- 19:06Speaker 2: of Law and Order, uh, said, I, you know, they
- 19:09Speaker 2: tried to cast this. So I played this character, which
- 19:12Speaker 2: is the, the, um, the artist, uh, had, or his muse, right?
- 19:18Speaker 2: So I play the muse of an artist and very
- 19:21Speaker 2: wealthy who, um, who's obsessed with him.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:24Speaker 2: But he's a murderer. Um, and so, you know, I'm, I'm,
- 19:29Speaker 2: I get a call that they can't find this kind
- 19:32Speaker 2: of person through casting. They haven't been able to find
- 19:35Speaker 2: this elevated muse who, you know, and so I got
- 19:39Speaker 2: a call. The talent agent calls me and goes, we
- 19:44Speaker 2: couldn't find anybody. She's a fan of the show. So
- 19:47Speaker 2: she's a fan of the house. We couldn't find anybody.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Bring me the Countess. I want the Countess. That's who
- 19:53Speaker 2: needs to play that part. And that's how I did it.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I got it. I mean, literally, they called me, and
- 19:57Speaker 2: I was on the set of Law & Order two
- 19:59Speaker 2: days later.
- 19:59Speaker 1: And that really is fun. And I love seeing that
- 20:03Speaker 1: kind of a crossover, and it's so brilliant. Because, yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: if you're casting a housewife type, Why not try to
- 20:09Speaker 1: get a housewife that can actually do it?
- 20:10Speaker 2: Well, it really wasn't a housewife. It was really luxury.
- 20:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Somebody who is, you know, like, right? When you think
- 20:18Speaker 2: of the Countess, where you think of luxury and wealth
- 20:21Speaker 2: and aristocracy, right?
- 20:23Speaker 5: Right.
- 20:23Speaker 2: So that's really what she was going for, right?
- 20:26Speaker 5: Yes.
- 20:26Speaker 2: And she couldn't quite find this type. So that's why
- 20:28Speaker 2: I got the call, which is incredible. I mean, to
- 20:31Speaker 2: play a part next to Mariska Haggerty, I mean... That
- 20:36Speaker 2: is SAG-AFTRA.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 2: That was, you finally got your SAG-AFTRA point. That is,
- 20:40Speaker 2: I earned my, yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so I.
- 20:42Speaker 2: And it was not easy, let me tell you. It
- 20:44Speaker 2: was scary. I was in a trailer all day because
- 20:46Speaker 2: they work, you know. She works so hard, you know,
- 20:49Speaker 2: Mariska Hegarty and. you know, she asked me, what's it
- 20:51Speaker 2: like doing reality? I said, I love it. Cause I say,
- 20:53Speaker 2: don't come at 10, come at 11. You know, she's,
- 20:57Speaker 2: she's on set all day. She works her ass off.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And I admire her for that. It's very hard.
- 21:02Speaker 1: People don't realize that. That's why, and I think certain
- 21:04Speaker 1: actors go on to something else like a Gwyneth Paltrow
- 21:08Speaker 1: with goop or whatever. And people are like, don't you think,
- 21:11Speaker 1: I wonder if she misses acting when she won an Oscar.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I'm like, No, it is really, really hard. I mean,
- 21:17Speaker 1: there's the fun of it and all of that, but
- 21:19Speaker 1: the actual hours. And then if you're the producer or
- 21:23Speaker 1: the director as well, you're carrying all those hats and
- 21:26Speaker 1: And then, you know, it's a lot of stress.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I was stressed out because, you know, they've got to
- 21:30Speaker 2: get the blood right, like on the pavement. You know
- 21:32Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 21:32Speaker 5: Yes.
- 21:33Speaker 2: So you're waiting for them to get the shot, et cetera.
- 21:35Speaker 2: So I was there all day. And by the time
- 21:37Speaker 2: my part came along, it was like 6 p.m. I
- 21:39Speaker 2: was exhausted.
- 21:40Speaker 1: So they shot it in New York, though, right?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they shot it in New York.
- 21:42Speaker 1: So you're just sitting in a trailer.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah, at the Piers. You know, they shoot at the Piers.
- 21:46Speaker 2: So I was in a trailer all day. And then,
- 21:49Speaker 2: you know, and I'm stressing about my lines. I remember
- 21:51Speaker 2: my lines. And then it's like six o'clock and I'm
- 21:54Speaker 2: wiped out already, right?
- 21:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But, you know, I'm so glad I got the opportunity
- 21:59Speaker 2: to do it and to be on a show like
- 22:00Speaker 2: that is huge, but it is a lot of work.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Yes.

- 22:39Speaker 5: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 22:42Speaker 5: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 22:46Speaker 5: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 22:55Speaker 1: filed against me.
- 22:55Speaker 2: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 22:58Speaker 2: what would you do if it was given back?
- 23:00Speaker 5: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 23:03Speaker 5: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 23:05Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 23:07Speaker 2: home dad. What happens next? When I came in, he
- 23:09Speaker 2: started crying. Everybody in life encounters hardships.
- 23:13Speaker 5: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 23:16Speaker 5: go through.
- 23:17Speaker 2: It's about what happens next. I decided to risk it all.
- 23:20Speaker 2: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 23:22Speaker 6: You're worth the work.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 23:25Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 23:27Speaker 5: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 23:41Speaker 1: Okay, so now we have the Love Hotel that Bravo
- 23:46Speaker 1: is doing, which is a beautiful Mexico setting that you
- 23:52Speaker 1: guys went to last summer, right?
- 23:54Speaker 2: Yeah, last September, to be exact.
- 23:57Speaker 1: How hot was it there?
- 23:59Speaker 2: It was warm. It was really warm in September in Cabo.
- 24:03Speaker 2: It's quite warm, but it was beautiful. I mean, the
- 24:05Speaker 2: hotel was great. You know, it's so... Now, were there
- 24:08Speaker 2: other people at the hotel? It's so romantic, really, Cabo.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Were there other people at the hotel while you were filming?
- 24:12Speaker 2: I don't know Cabo at all. I go to, like, Tulum.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I go to Mexico, you know, near... The East Coast.
- 24:16Speaker 2: The East Coast, Mexico. Gulf of Mexico. And so this,
- 24:20Speaker 2: I've never been to, to Cabo. And it's very dramatic.
- 24:24Speaker 2: The ocean is, like, crashing on the rocks, you know? It's, like,
- 24:26Speaker 2: very romantic and sexy.
- 24:30Speaker 1: We love Cabo. Because for us, it's two and a
- 24:32Speaker 1: half hour flight.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Right, it's nothing.
- 24:34Speaker 1: And not a fart, like... Nicest hotels are not far
- 24:37Speaker 1: from the– so you could do like a three-day weekend
- 24:39Speaker 1: and still feel like you've got to get away.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Right.
- 24:41Speaker 1: But wait, I'm curious. Were there other people there? Oh,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I know what hotel this is.
- 24:47Speaker 2: It's the Los Velas?
- 24:49Speaker 5: Yes.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Los Velas?
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, so I went to the, and this is
- 24:54Speaker 1: the boutique one.
- 24:55Speaker 2: There's two.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I went to the one that.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Has the spa. And that grand entrance, you walk in.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And the kids can come, and we had the best time.
- 25:04Speaker 1: But then you walk a little, and this is the
- 25:06Speaker 1: all-adult one.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Grande Veles is called Grande Veles.
- 25:09Speaker 1: And then this is, so now, did the... Did they–
- 25:12Speaker 1: were other people there while you were filming or no?
- 25:14Speaker 2: There was– in the one that you know, there were
- 25:18Speaker 2: people there. This hotel, the second one, was really just
- 25:21Speaker 2: for us for filming.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Oh, that's great. Okay.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we had to because we need the lobby. We
- 25:27Speaker 2: need the, you know, the bar area. We need the beach. So,
- 25:30Speaker 2: you know, yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 1: So I want to know a little bit, like, you
- 25:32Speaker 1: get the call and did you know when they– how
- 25:35Speaker 1: did they present it to you? First, let's start with
- 25:37Speaker 1: how they presented. Would you be willing to do this
- 25:39Speaker 1: other new show? Right.
- 25:41Speaker 2: So, well, they called me and they said, we have
- 25:42Speaker 2: a show for you, which is a dating show. And
- 25:46Speaker 2: so we're going to find you guys. I said, well,
- 25:48Speaker 2: good luck with that. I haven't found one in seven years.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Good luck. Anyway, so we're going to, of course, we're
- 25:55Speaker 2: going to send you away for three weeks. We're going
- 25:56Speaker 2: to pay you, obviously. And we're going to find you guys.
- 25:59Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, baby.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I'm in. I'm in. So, you know. That's how it
- 26:04Speaker 2: was presented to me, basically.
- 26:05Speaker 1: At that time, did they say?
- 26:06Speaker 2: Who was coming?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah. The other women that were thinking of?
- 26:08Speaker 2: I didn't know who was coming because I guess they
- 26:10Speaker 2: weren't sure who was actually coming.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 1: So they just wanted to make sure that you were committed.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Make sure that I was committed to go.
- 26:16Speaker 1: And then when did you hear about the other girls,
- 26:18Speaker 1: which is Shannon Bedore, Giselle, and Ashley from Potomac? Giselle
- 26:24Speaker 1: and Ashley from Potomac.
- 26:25Speaker 2: You know, I got to say probably not too long
- 26:28Speaker 2: after that, maybe a couple months. Because it took time
- 26:30Speaker 2: for me to, you know, when is it going to happen?
- 26:33Speaker 2: I'm on tour with my cabaret. So, right. So I
- 26:35Speaker 2: have very limited windows, right, where I'm not booked already
- 26:39Speaker 2: doing shows. So September just worked for me. And so
- 26:42Speaker 2: that's what they nailed down. I think I got a
- 26:44Speaker 2: call probably in the spring for a September date.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And then when you heard who the cast was, did
- 26:50Speaker 1: you have any?
- 26:52Speaker 2: I was like, this is a strange cast, right?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, meaning that it's kind of all over the place.
- 26:58Speaker 1: It's not like you guys came from one cast. Like,
- 27:00Speaker 1: I know that some of the cast, you guys do
- 27:03Speaker 1: become friends because, you know, you've been to these, you've
- 27:06Speaker 1: done the Mohegan Sons together or like, you know, the
- 27:11Speaker 1: Bravo cons.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Right.
- 27:12Speaker 1: How well did you know that?
- 27:14Speaker 2: You know, I know Giselle because we did Project Runway
- 27:17Speaker 2: together at one point.
- 27:19Speaker 1: But that was just like a one.
- 27:20Speaker 2: It was a one off. So I don't know her
- 27:21Speaker 2: well from that, but I don't. I didn't know any
- 27:24Speaker 2: of them well, in fact. Shannon Bedore I know better
- 27:28Speaker 2: than the other girls, you know, than the Potomac girls.
- 27:31Speaker 2: But so I was surprised at the cast because I
- 27:33Speaker 2: was like, but at the same time, I'm like, this
- 27:35Speaker 2: is genius because we would not go after the same guys.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Right. I think that was probably the plan. That's the plan.
- 27:40Speaker 2: It's like, we're not going to go after the same guys. Like,
- 27:43Speaker 2: for example, Ashley, she's 38 or 37. So she possibly
- 27:47Speaker 2: could have more kids if she wanted to.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 27:49Speaker 2: With another man.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Right?
- 27:51Speaker 2: We're past that point.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 2: The three of us, right? Giselle, she's going to go
- 27:55Speaker 2: after a different guy than I would go after.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 27:57Speaker 2: And Shannon definitely is going to go after a different
- 27:59Speaker 2: guy than me because.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Now, why do you feel like you guys wouldn't go
- 28:03Speaker 1: for the same type?
- 28:05Speaker 2: Well, I just think we're so different. Do you know
- 28:07Speaker 2: what I mean? And different in personalities, different looks, et cetera.
- 28:11Speaker 2: I just... I wouldn't imagine that Shannon would be interested
- 28:14Speaker 2: in the same guy, which came true. Because we're not
- 28:17Speaker 2: interested in the same guy on the show.
- 28:18Speaker 1: And what is your, like... You know, you've dated all
- 28:21Speaker 1: different types from the count to Jacques, Jacques, who is
- 28:25Speaker 1: less like funny, younger.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Tom. We won't talk. It's not about Tom.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Tom, which, you know.
- 28:33Speaker 2: That was a blip on my screen, really. I mean,
- 28:35Speaker 2: you know, we only stayed married seven months. But anyway,
- 28:39Speaker 2: my type, tall, handsome, successful, funny.
- 28:45Speaker 1: What's your age range?
- 28:46Speaker 2: Kind. Kind. Kind is big. Classy.
- 28:50Speaker 5: Rich.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I mean, wealthy. That can keep up with me. Do
- 28:54Speaker 2: you know what I mean?
- 28:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:00Speaker 2: And sexy. I like European men. European men are generally sexier.
- 29:05Speaker 2: They're not so, I don't know. It's like in Europe.
- 29:11Speaker 2: If the president of France has an affair, nobody gives
- 29:14Speaker 2: a shit.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Right.
- 29:15Speaker 2: In America, you have an affair, you're done.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Well, the president of France, that's a juicy story.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Let's not talk about Monica Lewinsky.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Right.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Or the ass. But okay. So when, what is your age?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Do you have a limit on either end of the.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Age range for you? Listen, I like age appropriate. And
- 29:34Speaker 2: I always say, you know, I'm not going to date
- 29:35Speaker 2: a 20-year-old because I have a son who's 28. Right?
- 29:38Speaker 2: But that kind of fell to the side when I
- 29:40Speaker 2: met Joe Bradley.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Who's Joe Bradley?
- 29:43Speaker 2: You don't know Joe Bradley from Southern Charm?
- 29:45Speaker 6: Oh, he's hot.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Yes. So we did a show for Andy, Watch What
- 29:49Speaker 2: Happens Live, and there was like this instant connection. We
- 29:52Speaker 2: were like flirting from the get-go. And I just love
- 29:55Speaker 2: him because, you know, boys from the South have good manners.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Mothers have raised them well.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 29:59Speaker 2: They know how to dress.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I just went to the masters.
- 30:01Speaker 2: They know how to open the door. They know how
- 30:02Speaker 2: to treat a woman. You know what I mean? Very
- 30:04Speaker 2: mature for his age. But anyway, we hung out. It's
- 30:07Speaker 2: like no big story there. But so generally I date
- 30:11Speaker 2: age appropriate.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Wait, you said you hung out.
- 30:13Speaker 2: We hung out.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Did you kiss or anything?
- 30:17Speaker 2: I can't tell. I don't kiss and tell.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I'm going to leave it to your imagination.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I'm going to.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Show you a picture after he's cute.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Adorable guy.
- 30:26Speaker 1: So, but normally you like someone more.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Age appropriate. And, you know, and I love this about
- 30:31Speaker 2: the Love Hotel is, you know, they brought guys around,
- 30:34Speaker 2: which I was in shock. When I saw the guys
- 30:37Speaker 2: first walk out on the first episode, I was like, wow,
- 30:41Speaker 2: they really did their homework. You know, like there were
- 30:44Speaker 2: some silver foxes, like really good looking dudes. I was like, wow,
- 30:47Speaker 2: this is going to be fun.
- 30:49Speaker 1: And did you find, how did they find them?
- 30:51Speaker 2: You know, I think through various places. I think through
- 30:54Speaker 2: dating apps. I think through Instagram. And yeah, dating apps, Instagram.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 2: They put together a great group of guys from the get-go.
- 31:08Speaker 2: So I was like, this is going to be fun.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Did you get a word? Did you hear from Patty Stanger?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Was she like?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yes, I did.
- 31:13Speaker 1: You did?
- 31:14Speaker 2: Yes, I did. She said, I'm available. I said, I know.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Wait, to be one of the people or to like
- 31:19Speaker 1: help facilitate?
- 31:21Speaker 2: Yes to help facilitate like i like i need help
- 31:25Speaker 2: finding a guy but i love her for offering yeah why.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Not i mean it's up her alley obviously totally but
- 31:32Speaker 1: yeah okay so um here you are yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I mean out of all the outfits i had fabulous
- 31:40Speaker 2: clothes they picked the most casual look of the whole But.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Maybe that's why they wanted to, like, differentiate, like, because
- 31:48Speaker 1: you are, like, the athletic one.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I'm casual, though. That's true.
- 31:50Speaker 1: But also, clearly, like, you were always, can I just
- 31:53Speaker 1: go on a swim on the beach? Can I just
- 31:55Speaker 1: dive into the water? Like, Shanna Badour is famous for, like,
- 32:00Speaker 1: swimming in her Spanx.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 32:02Speaker 1: And, like, literally getting in a pair of, like, falling
- 32:04Speaker 1: in a pool. Right. So she's not going to be
- 32:07Speaker 1: the one that's like, let's go scuba diving at 6 a.m.
- 32:10Speaker 5: Right.
- 32:10Speaker 1: That's you.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yes.
- 32:11Speaker 1: So I kind of like that. And then we have Giselle.
- 32:16Speaker 2: She looks great there.
- 32:17Speaker 1: And how did you guys get along?
- 32:19Speaker 2: You know, I like her a lot because she's very elegant, right?
- 32:26Speaker 2: She's very kind of guarded, right? But she is a
- 32:32Speaker 2: good time.
- 32:33Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 32:34Speaker 2: She's elevated to me. You know what I mean? She's classy.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I like her. I did a live show with she
- 32:38Speaker 1: and Robin years ago when I was doing a live
- 32:40Speaker 1: Juicy Scoop in D.C. And she was great.
- 32:45Speaker 2: She is great.
- 32:45Speaker 1: She's great.
- 32:46Speaker 2: I like her.
- 32:46Speaker 1: She's fun.
- 32:47Speaker 2: She's elegant. And that face.
- 32:49Speaker 6: Gorgeous.
- 32:49Speaker 1: You just can't stop looking at that face.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Oh my God. Her eyes are just mesmerizing.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 2: She's gorgeous.
- 32:55Speaker 1: But she definitely has not been lucky at love in
- 32:59Speaker 1: the seasons of Potomac that I've watched.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Right.
- 33:02Speaker 1: There's been a couple where I'm like, between you and
- 33:05Speaker 1: me is this even like a real thing whatever you
- 33:07Speaker 1: know um you probably have seen that over the years
- 33:11Speaker 1: where maybe someone is has a guy now the audience
- 33:16Speaker 1: is so like sophisticated they're like is this girl really
- 33:19Speaker 1: dating this guy or is she like right just bringing
- 33:21Speaker 1: him around you bring my so i have something to
- 33:23Speaker 1: discuss or whatever right but not you.
- 33:27Speaker 2: No not me i um you know listen we're doing
- 33:30Speaker 2: a reality show um i'm guarded about certain things like
- 33:32Speaker 2: my children and yeah You know, when I was married
- 33:35Speaker 2: to the Count, I was guarding that because it was
- 33:37Speaker 2: on rocky waters.
- 33:40Speaker 1: When you started the show?
- 33:41Speaker 2: When I started the housewives, my marriage was already kind
- 33:44Speaker 2: of rocky.
- 33:44Speaker 1: You didn't know if it was going to work?
- 33:46Speaker 2: No, and I think he was thrilled because, like, oh, good,
- 33:48Speaker 2: she has something to do.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Which is exactly what happened with Camille Grammer and Kelsey.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Exactly. And that always was so fascinating because I did
- 33:59Speaker 1: an episode of Frasier.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Oh, you did?
- 34:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, that's cool. And he was on a speed
- 34:05Speaker 1: dating and I was like this annoying girl. I was
- 34:07Speaker 1: a guest star. And after that, I got called in
- 34:10Speaker 1: to do producers. And Camille, she was like a producer
- 34:15Speaker 1: of like a girl's sitcom type of show. And I
- 34:18Speaker 1: don't think it went, but. I saw them at things
- 34:20Speaker 1: and she was always really sweet. And so I think she,
- 34:24Speaker 1: he knew, you know, she started out as like a
- 34:27Speaker 1: dancer on like MTV, you know, there's old video of
- 34:31Speaker 1: her with like her New Jersey accent and everything. So
- 34:33Speaker 1: I think, yeah, you know, she had aspirations for entertainment.
- 34:36Speaker 1: She marries this bigger entertainer that has the biggest sitcom
- 34:39Speaker 1: ever and part of it. And so I think when
- 34:40Speaker 1: it came, he probably presented it to her like, well,
- 34:44Speaker 1: this is your time to shine. The kids are a
- 34:46Speaker 1: little older. But really it was that he already probably
- 34:50Speaker 1: had his eyes set on somebody else or just wanted
- 34:52Speaker 1: the freedom.
- 34:52Speaker 2: He had one foot out the door.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Yeah. And so you feel looking back like that's maybe...
- 34:58Speaker 1: Why your husband was also like, yeah.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Great idea.
- 35:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Well, because listen, I'm a showgirl.
- 35:05Speaker 1: So he says to me, why.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Are you such a showgirl? Because I am, you know,
- 35:09Speaker 2: I grew up in a big family. So it's like,
- 35:10Speaker 2: look at me, look at me, look at me.
- 35:11Speaker 1: What number are you again?
- 35:13Speaker 2: Six or seven.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:14Speaker 2: So, you know, I went to nursing school. Then I
- 35:16Speaker 2: got scouted to be a model in New York. And
- 35:17Speaker 2: that's when I got the taste of like, wow, this,
- 35:20Speaker 2: I like this modeling thing.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:21Speaker 2: And then I got to Europe and I love the
- 35:23Speaker 2: modeling thing over there, but it didn't go so great.
- 35:25Speaker 2: So I wound up in television. So then I got
- 35:28Speaker 2: bitten by the television bug, which was like, this is great.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I don't have to pound the pavement, knock on doors,
- 35:32Speaker 2: and get said no to. I get a real job.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Is that when you were actually hosting that Italian show?
- 35:37Speaker 2: I was hosting a show on Italian television, but it
- 35:39Speaker 2: took me a while to climb to that level. I
- 35:40Speaker 2: was the Vanna White of Italian television first because I
- 35:43Speaker 2: couldn't speak Italian. Then I realized if I could speak Italian,
- 35:46Speaker 2: I could really take them for a ride. And I
- 35:48Speaker 2: talk about that in my cabaret show, which is I realized, oh,
- 35:52Speaker 2: my God, I can have a career here.
- 35:54Speaker 1: How did you learn?
- 35:55Speaker 2: And this is why– I met the count because I
- 35:57Speaker 2: was skiing in Switzerland with an Italian boyfriend. And I
- 36:01Speaker 2: met my husband at a dinner party and we got
- 36:03Speaker 2: married two weeks later.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Wait, was the Italian boyfriend next to you?
- 36:06Speaker 2: No, he was on a business trip.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Okay, wait, you're skiing with the Italian boyfriend.
- 36:11Speaker 2: He's on a business trip. So he leaves me in Switzerland.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I go to a dinner party and I meet the count.
- 36:17Speaker 1: And then how do you.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I just left. How do you tell somebody that loves
- 36:22Speaker 2: you that you're leaving, you're in love with somebody else?
- 36:24Speaker 1: So were you living with this Italian boyfriend or just
- 36:26Speaker 1: on a vacation together?
- 36:27Speaker 2: No, I was living with him.
- 36:29Speaker 1: How did you leave and get your stuff and everything?
- 36:32Speaker 2: It's called a garbage bag. I literally threw my stuff
- 36:37Speaker 2: in a huge garbage bag and went off like Santa
- 36:40Speaker 2: in the middle of the night and left before he
- 36:42Speaker 2: got back because there was no way to tell him. Now,
- 36:46Speaker 2: to do justice to the story is I told the
- 36:48Speaker 2: Italian who was 55 and I was 27. that you're
- 36:55Speaker 2: not going to be the father of my children. You
- 36:56Speaker 2: know that someday this is going to come to a close.
- 36:58Speaker 2: And I was kind of warming him up because I
- 36:59Speaker 2: was going to go to LA and become an actress
- 37:01Speaker 2: like Sharon Stone went to Milan. She was a model.
- 37:04Speaker 2: And then she went to California. So I had an
- 37:06Speaker 2: agent like Sharon Stone would have had, who said to me,
- 37:09Speaker 2: now you have to go to LA. Now you have
- 37:11Speaker 2: a huge career here. Now you go to California. So
- 37:14Speaker 2: I was trying to talk my boyfriend at the time
- 37:17Speaker 2: into the story that I'm going to leave at some point.
- 37:19Speaker 2: This is not going to last. And then I met Alex.
- 37:24Speaker 2: And I realized, hell, with the career, this is the
- 37:28Speaker 2: father of my children. So I left my career in
- 37:32Speaker 2: Italian television to marry Alex. Because if I didn't leave,
- 37:36Speaker 2: it would have never worked.
- 37:37Speaker 1: So wait, you're at the dinner party. How many people
- 37:40Speaker 1: are at the dinner party?
- 37:40Speaker 2: 20. And you can't imagine how beautiful it was.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Like one long table?
- 37:44Speaker 2: Oh, long table with place cards.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Oh, I love something like this. This is my dream
- 37:47Speaker 1: kind of evening.
- 37:48Speaker 2: And there's silverware for miles. I love it. And glasses. And, oh, no, chandeliers.
- 37:53Speaker 2: And a wooden, beautiful chalet in Switzerland. Like Gunter Sachs.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Wait, how did you get invited to the dinner party?
- 38:00Speaker 2: So I had a lot of friends that I made
- 38:03Speaker 2: through this Italian boyfriend who was like the Asti Spumante
- 38:06Speaker 2: of Italy. So the Pellegrinos were our friends. You know,
- 38:10Speaker 2: Robert Plant was coming over for dinner parties. No, no, no.
- 38:13Speaker 2: I had like fabulous friends.
- 38:14Speaker 1: But wait, how did you meet him, the Italian?
- 38:16Speaker 2: You know, I met him because I actually won a
- 38:19Speaker 2: beauty pageant over there called Lady Universe. So I had
- 38:22Speaker 2: to do a tour. Nobody really knows the story. I
- 38:24Speaker 2: did a tour of Lady Universe across Italy. So I
- 38:27Speaker 2: went to every, like, town in Italy.
- 38:30Speaker 1: With the sash and the crown?
- 38:31Speaker 2: The whole thing. Okay. I love it. And so Mr. Spumanti,
- 38:37Speaker 2: Roberto Gancia.
- 38:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Gorgeous. Northern Italians, blonde with blue eyes.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Fifty-five. Now, I'm in my 50s now, right? 55 and gorgeous.
- 38:48Speaker 2: And he's got the hots for the American who's green
- 38:51Speaker 2: as the day is long because I don't know anything, right?
- 38:53Speaker 2: I'm just new. I'm a new meat, right? And he
- 38:56Speaker 2: comes to me, he goes, what are you doing here?
- 38:58Speaker 2: I'm saying, well, I'm trying to model, but it's not
- 38:59Speaker 2: going very well. Anyway, I started dating him. And then,
- 39:02Speaker 2: you know, we stayed together for two and a half years.
- 39:06Speaker 2: And then I met Alex, the love of my life. Okay,
- 39:09Speaker 2: so you... Which broke my heart because I loved him,
- 39:12Speaker 2: but I knew that that was not my future. Like
- 39:14Speaker 2: I wanted to have kids. So I'm not going to
- 39:16Speaker 2: have kids.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Okay. So you're with a 55 year old and you
- 39:19Speaker 1: kind of know this can't last forever. So you get
- 39:22Speaker 1: invited to the dinner party because he's away and you're like,
- 39:25Speaker 1: I've got nothing to do. Sure. I'll throw on a
- 39:27Speaker 1: black dress and go to this thing.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Exactly. But I went with Princess Home.
- 39:30Speaker 1: And Lo. Who's that?
- 39:31Speaker 2: So Princess Ho and Lo was my mentor. She was American.
- 39:34Speaker 1: A mentor of what? How to marry well?
- 39:37Speaker 2: No, she's American. She used to work in the old days.
- 39:40Speaker 2: And I tell the story in my cabaret show, which
- 39:42Speaker 2: is Honey was my mentor. So she grew up in Georgia.
- 39:46Speaker 2: She's a Georgia peach. And Honey Child worked in the
- 39:50Speaker 2: old days of radio with Bob Hope. And they used
- 39:52Speaker 2: to say, wherever there's hope, there's Honey. So that was
- 39:55Speaker 2: her thing. And she met everybody with Bob Hope, including
- 39:58Speaker 2: Prince Homanlo, who is Austrian-Hungarian prince, who fell in love
- 40:03Speaker 2: with Honey, and he married her. So Honey was living
- 40:06Speaker 2: amongst all, like, Princess Grace. So Honey was living in Europe,
- 40:11Speaker 2: but American. So when she met me, a good friend
- 40:14Speaker 2: of Roberto, my Italian boyfriend, she knew everybody. Gina, little Brigida.
- 40:18Speaker 2: All the big Liz Taylor, everybody was her friend.
- 40:20Speaker 1: So how much older was she than you?
- 40:22Speaker 2: She was like 70s, and I was 20-something.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Oh, so she took you on.
- 40:25Speaker 2: But she loved me because I'm an American dating one
- 40:28Speaker 2: of her friends, and I'm a TV star. She's like, girl,
- 40:33Speaker 2: I can't even. And she had a southern accent, and
- 40:36Speaker 2: Honey Child had the best jokes. And she knew the
- 40:38Speaker 2: entire world. For example, I go to Paris, and I go.
- 40:42Speaker 2: I'm dating at the time. I'm dating Roberto, but I
- 40:45Speaker 2: just met Roberto, right? So I'm dating around a little bit.
- 40:47Speaker 2: So Honey comes with me to Paris and a guy
- 40:50Speaker 2: invites me to the opera, the opening of the opera
- 40:52Speaker 2: in Paris. So she goes, I go, Honey, I got
- 40:57Speaker 2: her invited. I said, I have to bring my auntie.
- 40:59Speaker 2: So she took me on as her niece.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I love it.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I have to bring my aunt. And Honey was fabulous. Short,
- 41:07Speaker 2: like Dorinda style hair, short, blonde, but fierce woman, fierce, fabulous. Anyway,
- 41:14Speaker 2: I said, we're going to the opera. She goes, darling,
- 41:16Speaker 2: we don't have anything to wear. I said, well, she goes, oh,
- 41:19Speaker 2: let's go. We're going to go Avenue George Sank. We
- 41:22Speaker 2: go to Avenue George Sank, open the door. She knocks
- 41:24Speaker 2: on the door and rings the bell. Hubert, it's honey.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Hubert Gervon, she opens the door. And we were set
- 41:34Speaker 2: loose in his- To just pick out whatever you want.
- 41:37Speaker 2: To pick whatever we wanted. That was honey. She was amazing.
- 41:41Speaker 2: So I went to Sean Connery's wedding with her, Sean
- 41:43Speaker 2: Connery's son's wedding in Marbella. She lived in Spain. She
- 41:46Speaker 2: had a house right on the water in Marbella. So
- 41:49Speaker 2: I used to go and visit her all the time
- 41:50Speaker 2: and stay with her. And then she got cancer. So
- 41:53Speaker 2: I walked her out of this life as a nurse.
- 41:55Speaker 2: You know what I mean? It was terrible. And Victoria
- 41:58Speaker 2: was a baby. Victoria was born. She got to see Victoria.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Oh, that's good.
- 42:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:02Speaker 2: She got Victoria in her lap. I had pictures of honey.
- 42:04Speaker 2: She was amazing. She mentored me through my life. She
- 42:07Speaker 2: told me If you're going to wear that dress, darling,
- 42:09Speaker 2: it's the bread or the wine, honey. You can't have both.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Oh, the bread.
- 42:13Speaker 2: The bread or the wine. Can't have both. Oh, honey,
- 42:17Speaker 2: it was fabulous.
- 42:18Speaker 1: So she gave all the tips.
- 42:19Speaker 2: And she also said if people aren't talking about it,
- 42:20Speaker 2: she might as well be dead.
- 42:23Speaker 1: That's a good attitude having this business.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I think that's correct.
- 42:26Speaker 1: You know?
- 42:26Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Which, you know, when you throw, when your videos, I
- 42:31Speaker 1: see them all over TikTok of people That take videos
- 42:34Speaker 1: of you and stuff. And I've been there. I know
- 42:37Speaker 1: every single person there is having a blast.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Oh, there's the negative Nellies.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Do you ever read? How do you keep yourself from
- 42:44Speaker 1: reading those things?
- 42:46Speaker 2: I don't address them because they're clickbaiters.
- 42:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:49Speaker 2: They do that for clickbait. So somebody will come to
- 42:51Speaker 2: me and be nice.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:54Speaker 2: And then they're overbearing. Then they try to get attention.
- 42:58Speaker 2: And then I get fed up. I'm like, you know.
- 43:00Speaker 2: And then that's when they get you.
- 43:01Speaker 1: They meet you and have a story. I'm just talking
- 43:03Speaker 1: about like.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Well, yeah. Sometimes people do that. They will meet you
- 43:06Speaker 2: for attention. They try to put something out there about
- 43:08Speaker 2: you that's negative. Right.
- 43:09Speaker 1: I met Luann.
- 43:10Speaker 2: When I just showed them a great time at my
- 43:12Speaker 2: cabaret show. Right. But they'll come and they'll be friendly.
- 43:15Speaker 2: And then they'll be too pushy. And then I shoo
- 43:17Speaker 2: them away because I have to.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 43:20Speaker 2: And that's when they capture that moment. Which is good
- 43:23Speaker 2: because it just happened to me recently. So I'm glad
- 43:25Speaker 2: we're talking about this.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Oh, it did? What happened?
- 43:26Speaker 2: It doesn't matter.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Okay. Well, I've had that type of thing.
- 43:29Speaker 2: I don't address them.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Right. I've had that type of thing happen to you.
- 43:32Speaker 1: And it is hard. And you know, you're like. Especially
- 43:36Speaker 1: after I put on.
- 43:36Speaker 2: A great show.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Yes.
- 43:38Speaker 2: And she had a great time. But this is.
- 43:40Speaker 1: All you have to do is do a video that
- 43:41Speaker 1: was like.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Lou was rude to me.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Exactly. Instead of.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Instead of.
- 43:46Speaker 2: She was so nice. Until I was too pushy.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Like, or I went to Lou's show and it was
- 43:50Speaker 1: so fun.
- 43:51Speaker 2: All right.
- 43:51Speaker 1: We don't need to watch that, you know, as you're scrolling, scrolling, scrolling.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Of course not.
- 43:55Speaker 1: So people know, people know how it works, you know,
- 43:58Speaker 1: and just putting a name in something. And yeah, I've
- 44:01Speaker 1: had a similar thing like that happen. And I was
- 44:03Speaker 1: just like shocked. And I was like, well, gosh, I
- 44:04Speaker 1: make a living out of talking about people. So I
- 44:06Speaker 1: guess I'm at this level and I shouldn't be mad,
- 44:09Speaker 1: but it's like, you're like.
- 44:10Speaker 2: But wait, that's not how it happened.
- 44:12Speaker 1: But then you're like, but then if I address it,
- 44:14Speaker 1: then it gets bigger.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Of course.
- 44:15Speaker 1: And so, um, Yeah, but I think that's a great attitude. Well,
- 44:19Speaker 1: getting back to this, honey, which is just like this
- 44:21Speaker 1: could be, that could be a series in itself. That
- 44:25Speaker 1: part of your life could be like a very, a
- 44:28Speaker 1: version of Emily in Paris, but Lou in Italy. Like,
- 44:31Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I met John Galliano when he didn't have a penny.
- 44:35Speaker 2: We took him off the floor of a warehouse in London.
- 44:38Speaker 2: He doesn't want me to tell that story, but it's true.
- 44:40Speaker 2: I met him when he had not a penny. Before
- 44:42Speaker 2: he went to Givenchy, you know.
- 44:44Speaker 5: Wow.
- 44:44Speaker 2: It was at Givenchy, yeah. Where he became huge, right?
- 44:48Speaker 2: But I met him when he didn't have a dime.
- 44:50Speaker 2: And Faisal Amour from Plan Soud. Do you know Plan Soud?
- 44:53Speaker 1: No, I don't know how- So Plan Soud used to
- 44:55Speaker 1: dress me.
- 44:55Speaker 2: In Milan for television. So Plan Soud was like a
- 44:58Speaker 2: European brand, but they had a Plan Soud in New
- 45:00Speaker 2: York and around the world, actually. He had stores everywhere.
- 45:03Speaker 2: So he's one of the only straight designers that I know.
- 45:07Speaker 2: And he became a good friend. And he said to me,
- 45:08Speaker 2: I'm going to London. I'm going to take this designer-
- 45:12Speaker 2: who's been kind of– he doesn't have financial backing, and
- 45:15Speaker 2: I'm going to put him up in my atelier in France,
- 45:17Speaker 2: in Paris. So we went to get John Galliano in London,
- 45:22Speaker 2: and he took him to Paris, and that's how he
- 45:24Speaker 2: became his career.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Wow, that's amazing. So you go to this dinner party
- 45:28Speaker 1: because Honey brings you. And Honey brought you to the
- 45:32Speaker 1: dinner party.
- 45:32Speaker 2: She did, but I knew the woman who was having
- 45:34Speaker 2: the party already because Honey had a lot of friends
- 45:37Speaker 2: all over the world. So they would come to Milan–
- 45:39Speaker 2: They would come and stay with us because I lived
- 45:40Speaker 2: in like a palace in Milan.
- 45:43Speaker 1: With the Italian?
- 45:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:45Speaker 2: With servants and the whole thing. It was insane. I
- 45:48Speaker 2: couldn't go shopping. I had somebody following me to carry
- 45:50Speaker 2: my bags. It was great.
- 45:53Speaker 1: It was nothing.
- 45:53Speaker 2: I would go into Valentino, pick whatever I wanted in
- 45:56Speaker 2: Valentino because I had a TV personality. So they would
- 45:59Speaker 2: give me everything. You know what I mean?
- 46:00Speaker 1: Because of the TV show, not because you're dating the
- 46:02Speaker 1: 55-year-old Italian.
- 46:02Speaker 2: No, the TV show. TV show. No, TV.
- 46:04Speaker 1: But you were in the palace with the servants because
- 46:06Speaker 1: of the 55-year-old Italian. Exactly.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 46:09Speaker 1: And, like, when you're, like, what does your siblings and
- 46:12Speaker 1: other friends from home, when you get on the phone and, like,
- 46:16Speaker 1: tell them, now.
- 46:17Speaker 2: I'm dating this guy.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:19Speaker 6: Right?
- 46:20Speaker 2: Yo hablo italiano como un italiano. I speak fluent Italian
- 46:23Speaker 2: and French and Spanish. But not Spanish is shaky, but
- 46:26Speaker 2: I'm learning. I want to learn Spanish better. But they
- 46:29Speaker 2: don't know what to think of me. It's like I
- 46:30Speaker 2: come home. First of all, I didn't tell my parents
- 46:32Speaker 2: I was getting married. Wait, last they knew, I was
- 46:36Speaker 2: in Italy working on television. Exactly.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Okay, got it.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Because I married Alex two weeks later.
- 46:40Speaker 1: After the dinner party, you married him in two weeks?
- 46:42Speaker 2: Yes.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Now I need to hear that story. How did that happen?
- 46:46Speaker 1: So are you seated next to him?
- 46:48Speaker 2: I'm seated next to him, between him and his brother.
- 46:51Speaker 2: So Ferdinand de Lesseps, right, is very famous in Europe, right?
- 46:54Speaker 2: That's where the count comes from, which is they built
- 46:56Speaker 2: the Suez Canal, the Panama Canal, gave the Statue of
- 46:59Speaker 2: Liberty to the United States for the French, which is
- 47:01Speaker 2: Ferdinand de Lesseps, right? So Ferdinand. So Alex has a
- 47:04Speaker 2: brother called Ferdy who's named after his great-great-grandfather. People think
- 47:10Speaker 2: I got my title out of a Cracker Jacks box.
- 47:12Speaker 2: They don't understand it's like being a Getty or a
- 47:15Speaker 2: Kennedy or whoever. You know what I mean? It's like
- 47:18Speaker 2: aristocrats at the top level, right? My father was ambassador
- 47:22Speaker 2: of Monaco for 40 years. So Alex grew up with
- 47:24Speaker 2: Princess Grace. Prince Albert would come over for dinner. This
- 47:29Speaker 2: is my life. So anyway, I married him because I
- 47:32Speaker 2: knew he was going to be.
- 47:33Speaker 1: But how does the conversation start?
- 47:34Speaker 2: So he goes, do you want to go skiing tomorrow?
- 47:37Speaker 2: I'm going helicopter skiing. I don't know if there's a
- 47:38Speaker 2: place for you on the helicopter, but I'm going to
- 47:40Speaker 2: find out. Do you want to go? I've never been
- 47:42Speaker 2: in helicopter skiing in my life.
- 47:43Speaker 1: But you're a good skier because you're athletic.
- 47:45Speaker 2: I'm a good skier.
- 47:45Speaker 5: Okay.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 47:46Speaker 2: So, but I've never been in a helicopter skiing. So
- 47:49Speaker 2: he calls me and he goes, I'm sorry, there's no
- 47:52Speaker 2: room for you in the helicopter. I'm like, whew, because God,
- 47:55Speaker 2: I don't know if I can do that.
- 47:57Speaker 1: All that means is that the helicopter lands you in
- 47:59Speaker 1: a place.
- 47:59Speaker 2: That's not groomed. No, it means there's not another scene
- 48:01Speaker 2: on the helicopter. It was full. No, no, no.
- 48:03Speaker 1: But I'm just saying to people that don't understand what
- 48:04Speaker 1: helicopter skiing is, it's like they land on a part
- 48:07Speaker 1: of the mountain that's not groomed.
- 48:08Speaker 2: They land in a place where you have to duck
- 48:10Speaker 2: because the chopper will take your head off.
- 48:12Speaker 1: And then you go down because it's pristine and it's
- 48:15Speaker 1: not groomed because it's not part of a ski resort.
- 48:18Speaker 2: It's powder. No, we go with guides. Right, yes, yes.
- 48:20Speaker 2: I've been in a helicopter with him skiing like every
- 48:23Speaker 2: day for a year at least. For years. Anyway.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Okay, so he says there isn't a spot.
- 48:29Speaker 2: There isn't a spot. Okay, let's move on. So, and
- 48:32Speaker 2: powder skiing is a whole thing. But, you know, we
- 48:37Speaker 2: call it God's land because it's only mountain goats and us.
- 48:41Speaker 2: There's nobody, obviously. We're in the middle of nowhere. Okay.
- 48:45Speaker 2: So anyway, there's no space, but there's a party coming
- 48:48Speaker 2: up in a couple of days. A big party that
- 48:51Speaker 2: I'm invited to with Honey Chow.
- 48:53Speaker 1: So good.
- 48:54Speaker 2: And he goes... Do you want to come with me?
- 48:55Speaker 2: I said, I'm already going. I'll see you there. Okay.
- 48:58Speaker 2: I don't go with him, but I meet him there.
- 49:00Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 49:01Speaker 2: And I have another guy who's trying to kiss me
- 49:03Speaker 2: who's a singer from France, but that's a whole other story.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Okay, wait. Let me ask a question. This is exciting.
- 49:08Speaker 1: So when you're getting ready to go to the party
- 49:10Speaker 1: with Honey and you know this guy's going to be there,
- 49:12Speaker 1: you're obviously- Yes.
- 49:13Speaker 2: And you're already attracted. I already know him.
- 49:15Speaker 5: Okay.
- 49:16Speaker 2: I know.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Like how do you decide what to wear that night?
- 49:20Speaker 1: Are you someone that thinks about that a lot or
- 49:22Speaker 1: you're just like, everything looks great, I don't care?
- 49:25Speaker 2: I'm pretty casual about that. I like to be comfortable.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Okay.
- 49:28Speaker 2: You know, I'm not, you know.
- 49:30Speaker 1: So this wasn't like a black tie dinner. It was
- 49:32Speaker 1: just like a chic.
- 49:33Speaker 2: No, it was very elegant dinner. You know, people in
- 49:35Speaker 2: Switzerland and Europe, they dress, you know, they dress to
- 49:37Speaker 2: go out for lunch. They dress to go out for lunch.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Forget about dinner. So they dress to go out to
- 49:42Speaker 2: walk their dog.
- 49:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Which I love. I love the effort that goes into it.
- 49:47Speaker 2: You will never see a European in their sweatpants.
- 49:49Speaker 5: Never.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Anyway, so from there. Do you remember what you wore?
- 49:54Speaker 1: Wait, do you remember what you wore? On the first, like,
- 49:57Speaker 1: kind of date with him, sort of.
- 49:59Speaker 2: You know what? I think probably, like, I do remember,
- 50:03Speaker 2: and it was like a jean look.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 50:06Speaker 2: But really, you know, with heels and jeans, you know, like, cool. Okay. Dressy.
- 50:12Speaker 1: All right. So you go to that party.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 50:13Speaker 2: That's the way I got married, too, in jeans. You did?
- 50:16Speaker 1: Okay. Get to that. Yeah, we eloped.
- 50:17Speaker 2: We eloped in New York.
- 50:19Speaker 5: Okay.
- 50:19Speaker 1: So now you've only known him for three days.
- 50:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:21Speaker 2: So then at this party, then we go skiing together
- 50:24Speaker 2: the next day. Okay. We're just inseparable. You know, we've
- 50:28Speaker 2: fallen in love. And then he says, you know, he
- 50:31Speaker 2: comes to me at dinner at somebody else's house. Like
- 50:35Speaker 2: the next day, the next day, we're together every day.
- 50:38Speaker 2: So he says to me, you know, you're going to
- 50:39Speaker 2: be the mother of my children. You're going to be
- 50:41Speaker 2: the mother of my children.
- 50:42Speaker 1: He says that. I know. So he had never been
- 50:46Speaker 1: married before or anything?
- 50:47Speaker 2: Three times.
- 50:48Speaker 1: But no kids? No kids.
- 50:50Speaker 2: One daughter from his first marriage, but he was in college.
- 50:52Speaker 2: So she's like, you know, so.
- 50:54Speaker 1: He was really now looking to like.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Well, you know, I don't think he was looking to get,
- 50:58Speaker 2: he said to me, I'm not, do you think I'm
- 51:01Speaker 2: not getting married again? Because I've been married three times.
- 51:03Speaker 2: I said, do I look desperate to you? So I
- 51:08Speaker 2: had an Italian TV career to go back to. So
- 51:10Speaker 2: it was either it's do or die right now. Cause
- 51:12Speaker 2: she's going back. And if she goes back, I'm going
- 51:15Speaker 2: to lose her. And I knew if I went back,
- 51:17Speaker 2: I would lose him. So we just, decided to get married.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Like very casually. He asked me on the ski lift.
- 51:23Speaker 1: And before the Italian came back from his business trip.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 51:26Speaker 1: You were already saying, I'm going to get married.
- 51:28Speaker 2: I was gone. I went to Paris because we had
- 51:30Speaker 2: a party to go to in Paris together. So we
- 51:32Speaker 2: drove with Honey Child to Paris. We took Honey with us.
- 51:36Speaker 1: And you got married in Paris?
- 51:37Speaker 2: Because Honey was friends, of course, with his father. Honey's, okay,
- 51:42Speaker 2: he's the ambassador of Monaco. So Honey's friends are Princess Grace.
- 51:45Speaker 2: So guess what?
- 51:46Speaker 1: Amazing. I know.
- 51:48Speaker 2: So honey knew them. She goes, I'm going to get
- 51:51Speaker 2: us invited for tea. I'm going to seal this deal,
- 51:53Speaker 2: which is this is my niece. So she's good. And
- 51:57Speaker 2: I met his parents and the mother. I'll never forget
- 52:00Speaker 2: the way she looked at me up and down like,
- 52:01Speaker 2: who's this? The father loved me because I'm a nurse
- 52:04Speaker 2: and I'm American Indian, Native American. He loved that.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Did you feel like the mom liked you too?
- 52:10Speaker 2: Yeah, she did. She did. And, you know, they both
- 52:13Speaker 2: died very shortly after we got married.
- 52:16Speaker 1: So they never met the kids.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Six months later, his mother died. She had ALS. Terrible.
- 52:21Speaker 2: So I took care of her. And the father died
- 52:24Speaker 2: a year after Noelle was born. A year before Noelle
- 52:27Speaker 2: was born. So literally, I had Victoria. His mother had passed.
- 52:32Speaker 2: And then his father got ill. And I had Noelle.
- 52:35Speaker 2: And he passed. Isn't that something?
- 52:38Speaker 1: Wow. And so... Were you already actually married in your
- 52:42Speaker 1: jeans before you told the Italian?
- 52:45Speaker 2: Before I told my mother, I was married. And I
- 52:48Speaker 2: was in New York.
- 52:49Speaker 1: We flew to New.
- 52:51Speaker 2: York to get married because that was the quickest place
- 52:53Speaker 2: to get married. Because in Paris, you need blood work.
- 52:57Speaker 2: And in New York, you can get married without without
- 52:59Speaker 2: blood work and things like that.
- 53:00Speaker 5: Okay.
- 53:00Speaker 1: But once you decided we're going to spend our lives together,
- 53:03Speaker 1: why did you two feel like you had to get
- 53:05Speaker 1: married like in nine days? Like, why couldn't you just
- 53:07Speaker 1: be engaged?
- 53:07Speaker 2: We were in love. No, we just madly in love. Well,
- 53:10Speaker 2: because I was also, you know, I was, I was
- 53:13Speaker 2: going out with the Italian, but I had, you know,
- 53:16Speaker 2: Prince Borghese who was after me. And so I had
- 53:19Speaker 2: all these guys kind of after me and he understood that.
- 53:22Speaker 2: So he realized I got to grab her now. Otherwise
- 53:24Speaker 2: I'm going to lose out here. So, you know, I was,
- 53:28Speaker 2: I was with the Italian, but I was not very faithful,
- 53:30Speaker 2: let's put it that way. I was looking for Mr. Right, Mr.
- 53:34Speaker 2: Right for having a family. I said to myself in
- 53:37Speaker 2: my 20s, by the age 30, I want to be
- 53:40Speaker 2: married and have children. I'm a big manifester.
- 53:42Speaker 1: And so how old were you when you got married?
- 53:43Speaker 2: I'm a big manifester, 29. Oh, that's so amazing.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm a big manifester too.
- 53:48Speaker 2: And I had Victoria within a year.
- 53:49Speaker 1: But did you know you were manifesting? Because I didn't
- 53:52Speaker 1: really realize. Yes. Until I.
- 53:54Speaker 2: No, I didn't know.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I didn't know. Right. While I was doing it. Right.
- 53:57Speaker 2: We didn't know that.
- 53:57Speaker 1: I didn't know it. And then once they kind of,
- 53:59Speaker 1: people talked about the secret of manifestation. Right. Now I
- 54:02Speaker 1: do it and I'm not afraid to do it.
- 54:03Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 54:03Speaker 1: And I'll say it.
- 54:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:04Speaker 1: But I don't know how you felt, but when I
- 54:07Speaker 1: would grow up and I would tell somebody, like when
- 54:09Speaker 1: I met my husband. And we've been married 25 years.
- 54:11Speaker 1: It's May 27th.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Congratulations. That's awesome.
- 54:14Speaker 1: When he looked at me, I was like, and I
- 54:17Speaker 1: remember I told my friend the next day and we're
- 54:19Speaker 1: dating and we're on the phone.
- 54:20Speaker 2: You knew.
- 54:21Speaker 1: I knew, but I was like, I said something and
- 54:24Speaker 1: the initial thing was, you don't want to jinx it.
- 54:27Speaker 1: We used to feed the generation, don't jinx it, don't
- 54:29Speaker 1: say it. Now we realize, don't say it, believe it,
- 54:34Speaker 1: achieve it. If it's not going to be you, it's
- 54:37Speaker 1: going to be somebody else. So why not you? You
- 54:39Speaker 1: are capable, don't have imposter syndrome and go for it.
- 54:42Speaker 1: So now I feel like that. Now I look back
- 54:45Speaker 1: at other parts of my life and I wouldn't make
- 54:47Speaker 1: a poster, but I would say things kind of in
- 54:49Speaker 1: my head. Like, oh, one day... I'll be, you know,
- 54:54Speaker 1: like I'd park my car and walk to my waitressing
- 54:56Speaker 1: job in, in Beverly Hills and I'd park in the
- 55:01Speaker 1: residential fancy neighborhood and be like, Oh, one day I'll
- 55:05Speaker 1: have a house like this. And now what? Now I do. Right.
- 55:08Speaker 1: But like, you know, it's not in Beverly Hills, but
- 55:10Speaker 1: it's a similar type of house. And I'm like, and
- 55:13Speaker 1: you know, that it'll come one day. I don't know where,
- 55:16Speaker 1: like it'll come one day. And so when you, um,
- 55:20Speaker 1: So when you guys got married, because you're like, this
- 55:22Speaker 1: is what I want, and you're so definitive.
- 55:24Speaker 2: You're going to love this. So when I met him,
- 55:26Speaker 2: he goes, I rented a house in the Hamptons this summer.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Do you like the Hamptons? I said, I've only been
- 55:31Speaker 2: once or twice, because I lived in New York, you know, modeling.
- 55:33Speaker 2: And I would go out to rental shared houses with
- 55:36Speaker 2: models and shit. And he goes, I rented a house
- 55:39Speaker 2: because I'm going to write a book. You know, because
- 55:41Speaker 2: Alex wrote a book about his great-great-grandfather who built the
- 55:44Speaker 2: Suez Canal, who was, you know... I mean, he was
- 55:47Speaker 2: just unbelievable. They had a train from Paris that would
- 55:50Speaker 2: go to their chateau. He made train tracks to go
- 55:54Speaker 2: from Paris to his front door. That's how powerful he was.
- 55:57Speaker 2: He made his own. They built train tracks to go
- 56:01Speaker 2: to where he lived.
- 56:02Speaker 5: Okay.
- 56:03Speaker 2: So he wanted to write another book, a follow up
- 56:06Speaker 2: on this book about his. Well, it never happened because
- 56:09Speaker 2: he met me and then we had children. So he
- 56:12Speaker 2: never wrote the book. But we lived between the Hamptons
- 56:16Speaker 2: and Switzerland and shot.
- 56:17Speaker 1: So that's how you ended up living in New York.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Exactly. So you were living in the Hamptons before.
- 56:24Speaker 1: When the kids were babies.
- 56:25Speaker 2: I've been in the Hamptons since 1993. I married Alex
- 56:29Speaker 2: in 93. I've been in the Hamptons for over 30 years.
- 56:31Speaker 1: And would you do like all summer in the Hamptons
- 56:34Speaker 1: and the rest of the year?
- 56:34Speaker 2: We would do six months. So we would live around
- 56:36Speaker 2: the ski schedule. You know, we'd go. And then the
- 56:38Speaker 2: kids had to go to school. So they went to
- 56:40Speaker 2: school in Switzerland. So we would only go in the summer. Oh, okay.
- 56:43Speaker 2: So we had the house sitting there and we would
- 56:46Speaker 2: only go June, July and August. I would cry my
- 56:48Speaker 2: eyes out because I had my whole family. And Alex's
- 56:51Speaker 2: parents are dead, you know, and the brother lives in Brussels.
- 56:55Speaker 2: So I didn't have any family there, but I made
- 56:57Speaker 2: a family, which is all my friends, which is the
- 57:00Speaker 2: Prince of Greece. I mean, the King of Greece was
- 57:02Speaker 2: my friend.
- 57:02Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Constantine and all the kids, the Gettys. I mean, you know,
- 57:05Speaker 2: all these people, fabulous people, you know, and they live
- 57:08Speaker 2: in Switzerland. They live. And whatever, Palm Beach, they live here,
- 57:12Speaker 2: they live everywhere. You know what I'm saying? Very exclusive.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Very exclusive. When the opportunity coming up to do this
- 57:18Speaker 1: show and, you know, you didn't know how long it
- 57:20Speaker 1: was going to last. You're like, oh, this will be fun.
- 57:22Speaker 2: I didn't even know what reality was in 2007.
- 57:24Speaker 1: And so, you know, nobody really knew what it would become.
- 57:29Speaker 1: And so when you were doing that and he was,
- 57:31Speaker 1: did you, before you presented it to him, did you
- 57:34Speaker 1: think he would have any reservations about you doing it?
- 57:38Speaker 2: You know, I... I didn't because otherwise I would not
- 57:42Speaker 2: have presented it to him. But now I didn't know
- 57:44Speaker 2: what I was doing. First of all, it was called
- 57:45Speaker 2: Manhattan Moms. Now, if I saw The Housewives of the O.C.,
- 57:49Speaker 2: which was already on, I would have never done that
- 57:52Speaker 2: show ever. Why? Because I didn't like watching these women
- 57:58Speaker 2: of the O.C. because I thought it was like tedious
- 58:00Speaker 2: and stupid and. Yeah, because the first couple seasons were.
- 58:03Speaker 2: They're blonde, but, you know, getting boobs done and whatever.
- 58:06Speaker 2: It's just like, no, I would not put my life
- 58:08Speaker 2: out there like that. Yeah. Because my life is totally different, right?
- 58:11Speaker 2: Not to snub them.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 58:13Speaker 2: It just was their lifestyle. They lived in a gated community.
- 58:15Speaker 2: I live in Europe. I speak three languages. You know,
- 58:18Speaker 2: I'm married to a French aristocrat. My life has nothing
- 58:21Speaker 2: to do with that.
- 58:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:22Speaker 2: I wouldn't be that person. I'm not that person, right?
- 58:25Speaker 2: So if I saw that, I would never have done
- 58:27Speaker 2: the show.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 58:28Speaker 2: And not to diss them because they're fabulous women. I
- 58:30Speaker 2: know them all and I love them all.
- 58:31Speaker 3: Do you think.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Now, but then... Do you... Then I was Countess Dillis Epps.
- 58:36Speaker 2: I was not Lou Anne. You don't call me Lou Anne.
- 58:39Speaker 2: I'm Countess Dillis Epps, right? And I wore that with
- 58:42Speaker 2: great pride because, you know, my children are born into
- 58:46Speaker 2: this family. It's a part of who I am. It
- 58:48Speaker 2: will always be. So that famous scene with Bethany where
- 58:51Speaker 2: she introduced me to the driver. It's like, Lou, here's Frank.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Whatever his name is, it doesn't matter. I'm Mrs. Deliseps.
- 58:57Speaker 2: I didn't say Countess. I'm Mrs.
- 58:59Speaker 6: Deliseps.
- 59:00Speaker 2: That's who I am. I don't want to be called
- 59:01Speaker 2: by my first name. I wasn't used to that.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:04Speaker 2: Right? But God knows I've changed through the years, haven't I?
- 59:07Speaker 6: Right.
- 59:07Speaker 2: You've seen me grow and be... I'm just Lou. You know,
- 59:11Speaker 2: I'm a nurse from Connecticut who happened to step into
- 59:14Speaker 2: the world of friendship aristocracy. So I embraced it. I
- 59:19Speaker 2: loved it. I had the best time. I had fabulous jewelry.
- 59:22Speaker 2: I mean, I would get... I mean, his mother left
- 59:25Speaker 2: me beautiful jewelry from... You know, I always put this on,
- 59:28Speaker 2: you know, this necklace that I have. It's like diamonds
- 59:30Speaker 2: all over. And I put it on and I go, oh,
- 59:33Speaker 2: my God, I wonder who's worn this, right? Because the jewelry.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Do you ever wear that on stage?
- 59:37Speaker 5: No.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Because you're too afraid of it like falling or something.
- 59:40Speaker 2: And makeup and all that.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Not wanting to travel with it.
- 59:42Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 59:43Speaker 2: I have a safe for all that stuff. You have
- 59:44Speaker 2: a safe. I do, of course.
- 59:46Speaker 1: I wonder now if maybe when they were recruiting guys
- 59:50Speaker 1: and putting the pilot together and the show together, If
- 59:53Speaker 1: they did tell you it was Manhattan Moms so that
- 59:56Speaker 1: you wouldn't think.
- 59:57Speaker 2: They did. It was Manhattan Moms. That was the working title.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: But do you think they purposely did that?
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Well, of course, because like I said, if I knew
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: what I was getting into, I wouldn't have done the show.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: So that was on purpose. And how I got the
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: show is from Jill. I met Jill at a dinner
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: party in the Hamptons.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: And what did she say to you?
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I was with Tommy Hilfiger because Tommy married Dee, who's
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: from Monaco. And one of my best friends, Jane, is
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: friends with Dee, so I know Dee well. From before. And,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: you know, so I'm with Tommy Hilfiger and Dee. And
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: these are my friends. And I see Bobby. I don't
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: know his name is Bobby, but I see him buying
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: shots for my niece, who's like 23. So I walk
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: over and I go, if you're going to buy her
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: a shot, I need one too. And he goes, I'm Bobby.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: My name's Bobby. And then up walks Jill Zarin. Hi,
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: I'm Jill Zarin. And I just, I fell in love
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: with Jill because, you know, Jill, she's huge heart. She's
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: the real deal. I like authentic people. You know, the posers,
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: the wannabes. You know, you can keep them. I want
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: the real deal. I don't care how much money you
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: have because money can't buy you class. Isn't that true?
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I love it. So how does she present it to you?
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Well, first I met her and then we hung out
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: the whole night. I mean, we went out, we went
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: to parties, we went together. We just hung out the
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: whole night together. And then I went to Europe because
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: the kids were going to camp in Switzerland. So I
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: was leaving for Europe and I had a little card, pink, fuchsia,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: and she probably still has it. I was trying to
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: get back into TV. Um, so I was doing little
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: segments for a CBS morning show. Um, so I was
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: trying to get back into TV and Jill said, you know, they,
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: they called me about the show and I think you
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: might be perfect for that. And I'll let you know.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: So I get an email from her when I just
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: got on email. My husband had email. I was like,
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: what is that? You know, Alex, he had email maybe
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: in 2005, I want to say. And, um, and I
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: was like, I can't be bothered with that. Anyway, so
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: I get an email from Jill that says they're casting
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: and you should come. And I meet them at the
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: American Hotel. And that's how I got The Housewives. It
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: was from Jill.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Yes. I love it. And, you know, it must be.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: And I sang on my audition tape. You did? I
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: sang Peggy Lee. What a day this has been. What
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: a rare mood I'm in.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: So I start singing on my audition tape. They're like, okay,
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: let's grab her. You know, and I got the title
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: of the countess, you know.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: How far into the show did you do? Because sometimes,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I mean, listen, thank God for Peacock. I know you
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: guys don't get residuals. But it is really a fun
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: time on like a rainy L.A. day, which don't happen often.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: I just showed you a clip in Mexico. Yes, that
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: just goes way back. A guy's watching me in Mexico,
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: and I'm dubbed in Spanish, which is hysterical. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: we're syndicated worldwide.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: That goes way back. But I remember when you were like,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I'm going to do a cabaret thing. How early, what
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: season was that? Was that early on?
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: I'll tell you exactly when. So, you know, the shit
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: hit the fan for me in 2017 after Tom, you know.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: You know, I hit bottom. And then I rose to
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: the cabaret stage. No pressure.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: No pressure there. You had the songs in the video,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I'm saying. You started singing before.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: No, I did money on the show.
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: Money.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Right, but at that point. You hadn't gone with her.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: But then you didn't do the Nick Cabaret show. So
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: I was a showgirl, meaning that I'm an entertainer, right?
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: So I did Italian television. I was a model, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: But singing has always been a part of what I
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: love to do. Now, I recorded some songs. I did
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: some covers of songs. I did, for example, Stevie Nick's Dreams.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: And I've been singing that song since I'm 15. Do
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: you know what I mean?
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Yes, the best, yeah.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: You know, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks, you know, Hart, Ann Wilson.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: I mean, I was like a wannabe singer.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: But that never happened to me. But then a really
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: good friend of mine, actually from California, Todd Allen, said
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: to me, Lou, you love to entertain, you love to
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: sing for your friends, and you tell the best jokes.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: You should be a cabaret performer. I was like, oh, okay.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: And that's how the first cabaret show came. Yeah.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Meet my friend Ben Rimmelauer. Ben Rimmelauer was the director.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Huge Housewives fan. Knows everything about me. And we put
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: together the show.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: How do you feel about, you know, the fact that
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: now so many other Bravo celebrities have taken their celebrity
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: to make some sort of a stage show?
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: I think it's great. There's room for everybody. I'm so different. Erica, Jane,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: and I are like apples and oranges. I mean, literally.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: But you should kind of tap yourself a little on
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: the shoulder in just that they saw that you did
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: it and there was a thirst for fans to go
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: and get a taste of their favorite reality star in
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: some other, whether it's Trivia, Tom Sandoval.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Well, listen, I got myself to London. I mean, that
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: was my agents and my doing, which is getting me
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: to London, which, you know, our show is huge in London.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: It's in England. It's in Ireland, Scotland, right? So I
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: played a big pride festival. I had 40,000 people standing
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: in front of me singing Money Can't Buy You Class,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: which was epic. And Tilda Swinton was in the crowd
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: as well. Right. And so we became friends.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I love that. I know.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: And she introduced me this last tour. to the stage
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: in London at the Adelphi Theater, the home of Sunset
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Boulevard and.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Andrew Lloyd Webber. I saw that clip.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: I mean, like, shoot me now, I could die and
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: go to heaven because that was epic for me. And
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: I love her. She's such a wonderful, she's such an
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: amazing actor, first of all, and a real true aristocrat
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: because her family dates back to 800, not 1800, 800. Okay,
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Swinton Swine, because he was giving the king animals, swine, pigs.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: God, your stories are like a history class. I know.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Titles are given to aristos for the services they render
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: to the king. That's how they get titles in land
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: and castles.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Because you serve the king, so you get this. How
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: do you feel? And here's your title.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: So let me ask you this. How do you feel?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: About the controversy of the Sussex and Prince Harry and Meghan.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: Well, I think she's a genius for getting him out
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: of there. Because let me tell you, I mean, she
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: can't walk out the door.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I mean, she was an American like you.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: You can't go to the bathroom without people, you know,
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: spying on you. A terrible way to live your life
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: under the looking glass. And, you know, the Aristos don't
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: have a lot of money. I mean, they get given,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: you know, a stipend, let's call it. You know, they
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: get given some money, but they don't have the money that,
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: I mean, England, they own all the churches. I mean,
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: there's so much money with the aristocrats, right? But they
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: don't see that kind of money. So Prince William, it
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: behooves him to move to the U.S., sell a book.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: I mean, how much did they make on the book?
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: $ 50 million?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Well, yeah, their deals are huge with Netflix and all
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: that stuff.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: He's never going to see that kind of money. And
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: first of all, second of all, he could never live
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: with that kind of money in England because, you know.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: That's just not how they do it because guess what?
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Then we're stealing from the people. Do you know what
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: I mean? You can't have $ 15 million in London. Now
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: you're stealing from the people.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: You had honey, okay?
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: I had honey.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: What if you had met Megan while she was dating
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Harry and you guys just had like a fun dinner
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: and she's like, what if Harry asked me to marry him?
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Would you have ever been like, just get ready. Like
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: it's not going to be as fun as ever. It's
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: not like you're going to be in this palace and
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: be able to do all these things. You're going to,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you know, when they did their Netflix thing, they kind
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: of said they were not living in like a great house.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: It was cold. It was, you know, and then the
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: weirdness of everything.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: It's not always cracked up to me. A lot of duties.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: You have to be, you know, you have to always
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: put a smile on your face. You always have to be,
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: you know, it's a lot of work. It's a lot
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: of work.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: But you didn't have, you didn't really have that as
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: the countess.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no. Thank God. No, I
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: didn't have that. We lived in the Swiss Alps also.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: It sounds like you had like the best of the situation.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Like you had the title without like all the bullshit.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Exactly. It worked out great. Oh, okay.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Let's get back to your love. Okay. So you're on
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: the love island.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: I mean, we could, you and I, we could go
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: all day long.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: So how did you and Shannon get along?
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: You know, we got along great. Yeah. I love Shannon.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: She's fun. Very fun. Yeah. She's fun. She's, you know,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: She's like very, what's the word? Like, I'm thinking designer.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: She's like, the way she dresses, she's very conservative in
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: a certain.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Way, right? Yeah, very like Chanel-y.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: So I'm like, I have like see-through clothes on, right?
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: I'm showing my ass and my boobs. And this one,
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: she's very, yeah, Chanel and very, you know, a Tory Burch.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: Very Tory Burch, right?
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Which is not my style, but it looks good on
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: her because she's like a little girl. Do you know
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: If I wore anything like she wore, I would look ridiculous.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: You know what I mean? She wears it well because
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: she's like a Southern girl to me. You know what
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: I mean? But she's not. She's a California girl, but
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: she reminds me of more of a California girl. I mean,
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: I'm sorry, a Southern girl. You know, because she's charming.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: It's funny because her daughter went to a Texas school. Like,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: I can see.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: There's a lot of Southern California desire to go live
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: that Southern-like life.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Did you?
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Yeah, she's like a Southern belle to me.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: You know what I mean? It's like, put flowers on her.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: You know, give her a champagne glass. I mean, she's,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: you know, she's like that.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Now, were there any guys?
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: And more conservative.
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Much more conservative than I am.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Were there any guys, don't get too specific because we
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: want people to watch the show, but were there any
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: guys that like off the bat you both were kind
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: of like maybe had your eye on?
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: We did, which you'll see on the show.
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: There's one guy in particular that we all have our
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: eyes on.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: But, you know, you got to peel back the layers
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: of the onion, don't you?
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: And hopefully not cry.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: And then we have Ashley Darby. Oh, hot. Is she not.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: She's the cutest, sexiest thing. Oh, my God. We were
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: in the gym every morning together because she works out
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: like I do.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: That bod.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Her ass is like, you can have
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: a meal on her ass. I mean, you can sit
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: a plate. Yeah, I mean, she is in great shape
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: and gorgeous and sweet. So sweet.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Now, she has been honest about that she doesn't necessarily
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: have a conventional heterosexual love life. kind of like a
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: little let's bring in a third person I'm a little
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: bit bi though the third person thing she said didn't
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: work for her with her husband after a while when
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: she became her mom became a mom but I wonder
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: was that like intriguing or did that play.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: At all you know I didn't really know that about
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: her uh huh so I didn't really know that about
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: her I didn't know that she was more fluid in
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: that way yeah but so I didn't really it didn't
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: really come up it didn't really cross my mind but Um,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: but she likes to sing, which I didn't know.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: That's right. Yeah.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: And she's a good singer. So, um, we just connected because,
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: you know, she's athletic, she's sweet and, um, and she
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: likes to sing. So, you know, there you go.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: So does the show have like those moments, like a
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: housewife moment where you're having your time with each other
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: as girls and sharing? That's great.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: No, it's, we were, you know, really the drama was
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: mainly with the men. Right. So it's, we're each other's
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: wingmen really. I mean, we would, I'll give you an example.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: We would go on a date and I would, because
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: we could have multiple dates, right? So, and sometimes a
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: group date, right? So I'd get into a guy just
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: for her, like peel back the layers, doing my homework
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: for her. Do you know what I'm saying?
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Get the story.
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: Get a scoop and see how I feel about him.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: And we did that for each other. Oh. So it
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: wasn't necessarily because I'm interested in him. I'm interested in
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: him for you.
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Wow. Yeah, it's great.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Well, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: This was the host.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: Uh-huh, was.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Was the host. So now, I mean, you probably can't
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: say anything. Obviously, there's a controversy there that after the taping,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: he expressed on social media some disenchantment with one of
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the other girls.
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: Not you.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: That's a good word. I like disenchantment.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Not you. And she, it was Shannon, and then she
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: responded like pretty shocked, like, Yeah. I thought we ended
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: on a great note. Right. And I kind of was
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: fascinated because I was like, this is another one of
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: those moments where.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: You shouldn't press send.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: You shouldn't press send. You need to put the phone away.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: You need to think about it.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Don't drink and text.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: And yes. And getting to that, since we're just talking about,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: you know, a mistake, you know.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: People make mistakes. I mean.
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: But throughout the years.
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: People make mistakes. You made a huge mistake, obviously.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: When you're on a public show like that. Of course. But.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Throughout Housewives and stuff, there's been intense reunions.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: I should be the host.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Oh, maybe you could be the host.
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: Why not?
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Why not be the host?
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: I should be the host.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Okay. Okay, so let's talk about that for a minute.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: Let's do.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: If Lou is the host.
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Who are the next?
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: I'm the one that can help these women navigate the guys.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Let's cast the next one with you as the host.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Okay, done.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Well, who would be good? There's so many single ladies now. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: Well, let's see. Dorinda.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Great.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: Sonia.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: She needs a man. Dorinda needs a guy. Okay, that's two.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: I can cast this really quick.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I think Erika Jayne.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: Garcelle.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Oh, well, you think, okay, let's talk about Garcelle.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: She just freed herself up, so she's free.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Garcelle. That would be amazing. Kyle.
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: Kyle.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Yeah. Who knows?
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Kyle Richards? She's done. Cass is already done.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: She's not. We don't know what's going on.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: We don't know what's going on there.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: We don't know what's going on.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: That's my Cass.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Okay. Let me just go back a second. So as
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: you know, Garcelle left. And when we saw it, it was,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: you know, she gave a great little video of like,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: thank you. And it's not goodbye forever because I'm going
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: to do Love Hotel with Luann.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Correct.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: But she just kind of was like, okay. And She
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: does have a lot of other projects. She's a writer, producer, actress.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: She has a lot of things going on. But then
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: when I watched The Reunion... there really was this moment,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: like throughout these, I know you guys have these long,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: wicked days, you know, of everything, where they said in
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: the beginning of the reunion, she said, and we're definitely
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: getting a cast photo this time. And by the end,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: they go up to get the cast photo, and she's like,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I'm out. And she has since unfollowed the cast members,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: which is a real deliberate move, which tells me you
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: want some press from that. Because if you no longer
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: are friends with somebody, and we're all on Instagram, And
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: I always say this, you can just mute them for
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: a month. If you just are like, I don't want
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: to see the wedding I'm not invited to. Right. Just
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: mute them. Like your mental health don't need that.
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: But when you like, then you kind of, you know,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: the fans are going.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: To figure it out. You knowingly remove.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, the fans are going to figure it out.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: You know, it's going to get out there and it's
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: a big statement. And so, I mean, I think in
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: her case, she's happy with her decision of not doing
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: the show next year. But I wonder if in your experience,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: was there ever times where you had to talk yourself
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: out of like completely saying F off or sending a
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: 2 a.m.
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: Email to the crew?
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I'll tell you when that moment was. I'll
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: tell you exactly when that moment was. When they were
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: all against me in Miami, I didn't bring back the
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: truffle fries, okay? Just to swim in the beach. I
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: couldn't go for a swim. I couldn't go see my poster.
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: No.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: And then, life is not a cabaret. Right? I walked
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: out of that scene. I left the table.
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Because I was, and I was crying.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: So I go out to the sidewalk. Producers are out there.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: They go, get back in. Pick up your chin and
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: get back in. That's what he did. And it took
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: a lot for me to walk back in that. Because
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: they were all against me.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: And why were they? That was the weirdest thing.
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: Because they were just so fucking jealous of me.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: They really were.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: So jealous.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Always. Because you were doing this thing that was actually successful.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: And it was working out. And they probably, you know.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: They didn't like it. Right. They didn't like it.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: And I feel like, you know, Bethany is very successful
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: and stuff. And she probably was like, fuck. Why didn't
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I think of doing this? She likes to be funny
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: and everything. She probably was like, I could have done
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: something like that.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but she can't sing.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Not singing. And stand-up is a completely different thing. But
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: I'm just thinking, I wonder if she was like.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: Stand-up she could do, right? She could do stand-up.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: You can't really... I mean, you can do it for
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: 10 minutes.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: Well, she tried to do a talk show. That failed.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: But yeah, she probably was like, shit, this is kind
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: of a genius thing.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: Well, yeah. And you know, I saw her last summer.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: I'm walking to a party. It's like this big agent.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: And I see Lee Shriver. Liv Shriver. Liv Shriver walking in.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Oh, the hot actor.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: John Hamm.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Oh, I love him.
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: John Hamm, too. They're walking in.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Oh, he's got a new show.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: Kaylee Rip is walking in. Okay. Andy Cohen's walking out.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: I see Andy on the way out. And I go
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: in and Bethany's there with her daughter Bryn. And she says,
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: you know, Bryn's a big fan of yours. Would you
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: take a picture? And like Emma Roberts is there, comes
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: up to me, who made Exile of Frances on social media,
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: on Instagram. She played Exile of Frances.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Anyway, so.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: And we're obviously in and Bethany's got this moment with
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: me and her and et cetera. And so she takes pictures,
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: et cetera. And she goes, you know what, Lou, I
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: guess life is a cabaret, isn't it? So she concedes
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: to me finally after all this time.
- 1:17:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: I think in all and all the time, it's all
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: in good fun. It's like, I think what it is,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: is everybody is in, you know, you and she are
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: both very successful people. And doing your own thing. So
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: you can look back at the times that might have
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: been hurtful, whether they were on camera or not.
- 1:18:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: And kind of be like, we're all doing okay.
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: And that's what's great about like getting to a certain
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: age too in life.
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: And nobody died. I mean, we almost died in Cartagena,
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: but that's a whole other story of that boat trip
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: from hell. Yeah.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: That always keeps coming up.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, you know, I do, I do, I'm doing
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: a couple of shows now. I'm doing cabaret and I'm
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: doing also. A show where it's called The Luniverse. And
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: it's all about, you know, these stories, which we don't
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: know the backstory.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: Which, I mean, you know, Sonia was in diapers. I mean,
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: we got so ill on that trip. We almost got
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: killed on the boat. Sonia was in diapers. We had like,
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: we had, I'm going to call it projectile diarrhea. That's
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: what happened. It was bad.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: That was Columbia, right?
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. That was Cartagena.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Oh, Cartagena.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: Cartagena, yeah. Exactly. So anyway, so I put together clips
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: of the show, which I get into, which is, you know,
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: the picture with Bethany.
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: Okay. That she took, that she didn't take. But I
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: can't tell you who took it because you have to
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: come to my show to figure it out.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: Yeah, get the scoop.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Get to get the scoop. So I'm doing that kind
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: of show because, you know, some venues can't hold a piano,
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: grand piano, a drum set and, you know, and a
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: bass player. Right. So I kind of miss a smaller
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: audience with showing these moments. And then I do with
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: the moderator. And I show the most incredible clips over
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: the course of the years and tell the story, which
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: is my story, which people don't know.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: That's a great idea. Wait, I can't even... Tinsley.
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: She really... Landed on her feet, didn't she?
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: How great was that?
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: I love that story.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: That is a Cinderella story. That's a housewife Cinderella story.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: That is a wonderful story.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: Because she ended up being on this show, coming off
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: of the mug shot with the bad Botox.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: I was there. I was in Florida when that happened
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: to her. And I saw her getting her nails done.
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: So she had a boyfriend. We knew each other before.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: I've known Tinsley for years. And she had this Cuban boyfriend,
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: the Sugar family, very rich, very rich, but 30. And
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: she was approaching 40.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: What do I do?
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: He was 30.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: He was 30.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Good luck with that.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: Gazillionaire, 30 years old and hot. I'm like, tens? This
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: is trouble.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: It's going to be hard to last all the time.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: And she got arrested shortly after that.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: She had to what?
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: She got arrested after that.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Because they got in a fight and she showed up
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: at his property.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: She went to get her purse and stuff. She went
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: to get her things and he wouldn't let her in.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: So she got arrested. It was stupid. But, you know,
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: I was there. I've known her since then. I've known
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: her for a long time. Right. And so I'm so
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: happy for her because here she is. The shitty situation
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: with Sonya in the townhouse didn't work out great for her. Right.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: And then, you know, she just wanted to have kids
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: and be a mother.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: And she was with the Coupon King.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: And she was with the Coupon King. Scott, he was
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: so good.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: So here this man who's handsome.
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: Good looking, tall, rich. And his wife dies of cancer.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: He's got three young little children that could be hers
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: because they're all little blondies.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: I mean, I'm so happy for her.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I'm so happy for her. I think I still follow
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: her and she doesn't post much because she's having this
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: great life, but something will come up and I'm just like.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: Look at her go.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: So great. And I mean, I love that she doesn't.
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: It makes me want to cry of joy. Yeah.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Seriously.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I know you can't like tell us what happened,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: but I'm excited to see the Love Hotel and everything
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: that you have going on because it's like so great.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: The Love Hotel is going to be, I think, epic
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: for Bravo because it's the first dating show really for them, right?
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Yeah. It really kind of is.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: It's the first dating show. They haven't done dating.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: It's a pretty genius idea.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's about time. Yeah. Like, this has
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: been on my mind for years. As we spoke about
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: this before, didn't we? Years ago. Right.
- 1:21:54Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: You know, a lot of housewives have become single. Well,
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: because it's tough to be married and do the housewives.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: I remember when you told me about an idea like this.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: And it was a couple years ago when we were
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: in the Hamptons and we went to your house.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: And you.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: I picked you up in my convertible Mercedes.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: We took you to the convertible. We went on the boat. We, like,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: had lunch. That's right.
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: You came out of my boat.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: Yes. And so I do think this is a great idea.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I do think... I really... What I don't understand, and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I'm going to put it out there, okay? Because I... And,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you know, I'm sure, whatever, that was a fun choice
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: of who they chose to be the host, turned out.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: But I believe that, you know, when The Bachelor started,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: they had... The host, it was just a guy and
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: the host was his wingman. He was currently the age.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: You know, that's how it started. So I think, yeah,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: if the girls.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: The Golden Bachelor you're talking about?
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: No, the original Bachelor.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: With Chris Harrison.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: When the original Bachelor was this guy, Alex, and they
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: picked Chris Harrison because they were similar in age. So
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: he was the host, but the wingman. And then it
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: went on and they had the girls and everything. My
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: point is like, it should be you. It should be
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: someone who embraces dating after divorce and can give advice
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: and fun.
- 1:23:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Real advice.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Real advice. And like, that's kind of where I'm like
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: with a lot of these shows too. I'm like, I
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: wish there was more women also behind the scenes in
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: like in leading the lifestyles of like more relatable because
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: maybe it wouldn't go right to say that mean snarky thing.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: It might go to, um, Well, how do you feel
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: because she was there for you at this time, but
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: now you're feeling like she's not listening? Like, I don't know.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: I just feel like, I don't know. I think that's
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: kind of why the shows have somewhat gotten off track
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: is because the shows are for women. And I wonder like.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: We need mentors. You know, look, I talk about Honey
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: and Child, you know. Honey was my mentor, you know.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: She guided me.
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: She guided me, right? So, you know, I feel that
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: mentorship is something that's fallen to the wayside these days.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: You know, people need to have mentors and people that
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: they can get advice from.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: That they look up to, that they like the way
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: they live their lives, et cetera. You know what I mean?
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: Like not afraid to love or take a chance. So,
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: you know, I think that's so important and we don't
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: have enough of them today. And I agree with you
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: that hosts should be more involved in terms of, okay,
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: let's just not read from the teleprompter.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: Let's get in.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: I think that would be really fun.
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: Like Shannon, like why Shannon? Why is it always this
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: kind of guy, right? Not to say from the Love Hotel,
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: talking about in general.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: Her history of dating, right? Now she's got to look
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: at a girl with her guy across the table and
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: they're getting married? I'm like, girlfriend, how does that happen? But,
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: you know, this guy is just a piece of shit,
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: this guy, right?
- 1:24:51Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: But it is great.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: I mean, what kind of a guy would do that,
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: first of all?
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: It's just... It's, yeah, it's just, it's just the history
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: of her life. Like, it's just, holy Shannon, it would have, like,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: you couldn't write it.
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Like, that's what's so great about the Bravo shows.
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: Universe.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: You can't find a Ramona anywhere.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: I mean, where are you going to find a Ramona?
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Ramona's doing great, too.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: She's doing great. She's got a wealthy boyfriend.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Loving life.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Loving life. Living her best life. And so I'm happy
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: for her, you know.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: She called me the other day.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: Oh, she did?
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: And I was like.
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: Out of the blue?
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I go, hello. And she goes, hi, you know, I
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: just got back from Aspen and I have two tickets
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: to the boat show. And I know it's last minute,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: but I'd love to take you. And I go, Ramona,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: this is Heather McDowell from LA. I'm the comedian. And
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: she goes, oh my God, I thought you were my
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: other friend, Heather, from Dun & Dun. And I'm like, listen,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: if I had a jet, I would be at the
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Palm Beach... show in like a hot second. And I'm like,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: please invite me next time.
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: It was just, but that's how it started. It wasn't
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: like how you're doing. It was just like, I got tickets, girl.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Put on your shoes. We're going to find the zaddies.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: Exactly. Well, that's what I love about Ramona. You know,
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: I always say that, She's great. People are like, oh, Ramona, whatever.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: But Ramona is actually really the most fun. She'd be
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: the first one to take off her clothes and jump
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: in the pool.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Yeah. With a floatie.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: As long as she has her noodles.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Yeah, noodles.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: Her noodles. A swimming pool will never be the same
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: without noodles. I mean, she's hysterical. I get a kick
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: out of her now.
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: I mean, all those years I've filmed with her, I'm
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: telling you, she was also not easy to deal with, right?
- 1:26:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: But she's changed a lot also. You know?
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: She's gotten softer with time.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: You know, it's, it's so great.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: Well, listen, you have, we could talk all day. We
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: could talk all day, but let's talk more cabaret.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: Everybody go see Luann. And it really, you can't not
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: have a good time at her shows. I don't know.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: And it's always new. People think they're seeing the same show.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: It's not the same. Like next year I'll be out
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: with the love hotel, which is not the love hotel.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: It'll be my iteration of the love hotel, but then
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: in music, you know, so it'll all be about, you.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: Know, And it's just fun because it's like.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: And heartbreak, too.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: You know, get one person or five people, whatever. It
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: is fun if you can get a little group together and,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: you know, enjoy.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just so much fun. You know, I love
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: to do what I do, which is the other thing.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: It's like, you know, people are like, oh, you're traveling,
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: you're doing all these dates. Oh, my God, it's so
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: much work. But I love what I do. So, you know,
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: I'm excited by it. So, you know, that makes it
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: a lot easier, right? And they're my stories, so I
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: don't really have things to remember.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: And with all the travel, I know you can't reveal
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: because there might be a man in your life based
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: on the show. Is it hard to make a relationship
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: work when you're on the road all the time?
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: You know, I think that when you love somebody, you
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: have to set them free. So they do what makes
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: them happy, right? And if you love somebody that much,
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: then you stick around, right? So we'll see what happens.
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: Everybody go. I can't tell you. I know you're already
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: following the Countess. It's Countess Luann on Instagram. And her
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: dates are there. And there's going to be city. If
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: you can't see her at this tour, there'll be another one.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: And if you haven't gone before, you've got to go.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: And if you're already gone, then you've probably gone three
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: or four times like me.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: Exactly. And that's what's great because my fans keep coming
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: back because I do put on a new show, you know.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: And it's great.
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: I change my show all the time because my life changes.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Like last year, right? The Love Hotel was just a
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: figment of the imagination, right? And and so, you know,
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: you know, manifest manifest because life is a cabaret. You
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: just never know what's going to happen.
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: I love it. Thank you. Thank you, Luann.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: Thank you, darling.
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: know about the drawer. The drawer. Just the one square
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: before bed. Or two, you know. Nobody's watching.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: You deserve a treat.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: With eight flavours to choose from, you can choose the
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: flavour you favour with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
