- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey, I'm Ryan.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: I am here with Project Allen, Leah, Mike.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: I'm on TS Paranormal Productions from Kansas.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: First Kansas group I've had.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: So trying to hit all the states here.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: So I appreciate you coming on.
- 0:16SPEAKER_03: Ain't no problem.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Do a little background.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: You guys are Christian-based paranormal group, which really fascinates me.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: So how did this how did you two meet?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Was it cushion-based?
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Then you guys got into paranormal or paranormal?
- 0:31SPEAKER_03: Then we've always been Christian.
- 0:33SPEAKER_03: We've been married for almost 20 years now.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: We didn't start getting, we didn't start in the paranormal until about three years ago.
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: We're relatively young.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:45SPEAKER_03: But we're fast learners.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: The way it all started, four years ago now, huh?
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: Four years ago, Leah had um uh a series of medical medical I can't even talk.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Medical emergencies, um, which sent her to the hospital.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: Um while she was in the hospital, she ended up having going into cardiac arrest twice um for a total time of 13 minutes, I believe, 14 minutes.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: Can't remember off the top of my head.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: I feel like so um she spent about three months in the hospital um recovering.
- 1:21SPEAKER_03: After she woke up from her coma, she uh she told me about her experience with uh meeting Jesus and um everything that she was experiencing in there.
- 1:34SPEAKER_03: Then uh they sent her home to recover for the rest of the year.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: It took her about a year of recovery and upwards of uh 25 to 30 surgeries.
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: When something like that happens to you, you realize how how finite life is, and uh one day you're here, one day you're not.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: So we decided we're gonna start living life now and not wait until retirement.
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: So one of the things that we've always wanted to do was go uh on a ghost hunt.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: Never done it before.
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: So we signed up for a big public ghost hunt in Missouri State Penitentiary.
- 2:10SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: And go bigger, go home.
- 2:12SPEAKER_03: First, yeah.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: We were getting ready for this and unpacking my bag, and I had you I'd have no idea how to pack for a ghost hunt.
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: So I had a backpack and I had 13 flashlights with me.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: Because I've seen scary moves before.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: The first thing that goes out is the flashlight.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna be caught in the dark, it won't happen.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: So we went on this ghost hunt, and you know, at each building, at each station, I guess, they you know, is this how you use this equipment, this is how you do that, that kind of thing.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: And uh, we went down to uh 3D, building three down the basement, and even the the guards there would tell you that that's the paranormal of the paranormal.
- 2:56SPEAKER_03: And uh they put us in the cells and shut off all the lights, and I got my butt grabbed in there by somebody other than Leah.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: Why me?
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: But uh after that we were we were kind of hooked.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: We we hooked up with a local team, learned a little bit.
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: Leah found out um during the the Missouri State uh investigation that uh she was able to communicate with spirits, and just through over the years of just figuring it out and and stuff, she's fine-tuned her gifts, yeah, and that's been kind of our cheat code when we go on investigations now.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: So are you like an empath or a medium or a little bit of both?
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: I like to call it uh being able to discern the spirit, so I can tell you if they're not good or if they are.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, but yeah, it's always always good to have someone that's sensitive.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: They get that feeling of where you're walking into.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: So uh Missouri State Penitentiary is a big place.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: You guys jumped right in, so yeah, went into the deep end.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Went in the deep end.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: What else?
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: So after that, like you guys got home, you were were you like hooked, or just like, hey, I gotta check some more stuff out.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: No, we were hooked after that.
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: Definitely hooked.
- 4:19SPEAKER_03: She was hooked faster than I was.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: I enjoyed it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: I mean, I I always enjoyed going to see the historic buildings and and stuff.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: I've never been uh, you know, you're not gonna get me walking around the location by myself.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: No.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: Um I've always been a big baby when it comes to a lot of that stuff.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: But I also discovered that uh I enjoy video editing and making uh making the videos of all the locations.
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: So that's my piece of the puzzle is um the evidence and making the videos.
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: So after we uh after we do an investigation, I'll spend the next 80 hours making the video.
- 4:57SPEAKER_03: She'll let me go through the evidence, and we'll put it all on YouTube and show it to the world.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, your your videos are pretty good.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, I like watching them.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I subscribe to your YouTube channel, my bad.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: I will after this, but I do go on, I go on YouTube.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: I'm terrible at hitting like buttons and commenting, so I just watch it and then I'll just look them up again, and I'm like, well, I probably should try the whole thing, it's been the next six weeks behind the computer, just going over everything.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's it's it's a lot of work.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, a lot of people don't understand how much work you put into it, especially when you get into film editing, um, EVPs, review.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Uh so we have Patriot Paranormal on too.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: I'm guessing you know them because she said, or they, I don't know who they are, but you get evidence everywhere because you're a medium.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: Okay, no lie.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: You could put me in the middle of a field and I'm gonna talk to somebody.
- 5:53SPEAKER_03: And we've done it.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: How about fields?
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: How about cemeteries?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: How do you feel about cemeteries?
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: I don't go to cemeteries.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: That's kind of a that's a that's a place that's off limits for us for our own moral compass.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: That's a place of rest and place of reverence that we we love driving around and looking at them because they're some of the headstones are just beautiful.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: But as far as like going and trying to communicate, the spirits aren't at cemeteries.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: But that's my belief.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you'll probably get some interaction, but I don't know.
- 6:28SPEAKER_03: For us, it's a place that's off limits.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I believe your spirit leaves when you pass away.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Me personally, I'm not gonna go hang out at cemetery.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: So way better places to hang out.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, way better places.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's my belief.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Um, a lot of people are big into cemeteries saying they're hot and stuff.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh as you said, it's uh I don't say more respected place, but it's if they are there at peace, they're there for a reason and leave them alone.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: So yeah, that's my you know, Kansas.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: What is your guys' hotspot out there?
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Do you guys have a go go-to place?
- 7:04SPEAKER_03: We've got a few of them.
- 7:05SPEAKER_03: So, right here in Abilene, Kansas, where we are at, we have uh it's uh old Abilene town that we kind of help out with their paranormal side.
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: Old Abilene Town is uh Abilene was the end of the Chisholm Trail where the cowboys drove the cattle up from Texas.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: Okay, and old Abilene Town is uh is a recreation of the red light district where the cowboys would after they got paid, they would go and party.
- 7:28SPEAKER_03: So we've got five or six buildings in the small little town to investigate.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Some of them are authentic from the from the 1800s.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: Wild Bill Hickcock, he was a sheriff here for a little bit, and we've got his cabin that he lived in.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: So that's one of the places that we like to go.
- 7:44SPEAKER_03: Um we got Atcheson, Kansas, so that place right there is just ridiculous.
- 7:51SPEAKER_03: But so they got McIntyre Villa, we've got the Sally House, the Dilgart House.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: Dilgart House is a relatively new one that's up and coming.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: Um Backroad Atlas or the Rose Trunk.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: That's a antique store that uh has just really got some fascinating activity there.
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: And then in other parts of Kansas, uh, you've got the Garnett House, which is a uh a famously haunted demonic house that we went to and I did a video there.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: We found a 13 dolls get thrown at us on camera.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: And 100% it's a demonically haunted house.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: And um yeah, it was a very gross feeling being inside there.
- 8:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so and then other places too that I can't think of off the top of my head.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, the new ones leaper mortuary.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: You've been there.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:43SPEAKER_03: This weekend we're doing an event at uh the Ellenwood tunnel.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: Ellenwood tunnels that are built in the mid-1800s.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: Um I think of I saw you guys post pictures about the tunnels.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: I'm like, are they in the UK?
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Or I'm like, they look whole.
- 9:02SPEAKER_03: Funny thing, the so the immigrants that came over and settled in Ellenwood were from Germany.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: And I guess that was a popular thing to do in Germany was uh was build the tunnels for like winter time because it was always like a constant temperature there.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: So they did the same thing here, and they just one day I guess you know, I don't I'm not sure the exact history, but one day they shut the doors and never went back down there until different building owners over the over the years opened back up.
- 9:32SPEAKER_03: Everything that's down there was down there when they were all there.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's a harness shop down there, remember, and he would he did all the stuff for the horses, and then they have cars, and then he just shut the shop down because he, you know, there's no need for it anymore, and all that stuff's still down there, which is really cool.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, especially a really neat place historically.
- 9:53SPEAKER_03: We're we're gonna do an event form to help raise money for the tunnels to keep them going.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what a lot of people don't understand, like the money that is put into these places, and there's people like you out there that are helping keep them restored, because if they weren't restored, they would just get torn down and be gone and not really care about the paranormal part about it.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, I do because that's a lot of people spirits there, but just the history of it is gone.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, we see old pictures of like, oh, that would be cool to invest the eight, but we got torn down a hundred years ago, so yeah, yeah.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Um you guys mentioned new places popping up.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Is that I mean, we have it in Ohio, more and more places are popping up, and it's kind of hard to defer are they doing it for the money or are they doing it to keep it you know alive, I guess you want to say.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: Some of it's for the money, and some of it people are generally into the history.
- 10:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, if I do it for money, then who am I to say no?
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: You know, yeah.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've I've had a couple owners on here at the podcast, and you don't really make money off of it.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: So I mean Yeah.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: That's what the one lady was saying.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: She's like, People think I do this for the money.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: She's like, Yeah, it's nice to have a little extra money.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: She's like, but I don't become rich off this.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: He's like, You gotta put new roofs on, you got you know the insurance.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's a huge upkeep, especially she has a house.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah I mean, you do something like Missouri State Penitentiary, that's a lot of money that has to go in that place just to keep it upkeep so we can keep doing what we're doing.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: So yeah, so we'll talk a little bit about your Christian-based, I don't want to say philosophies, but so obviously you being Christian, that's what you believe protects you from bad spirits, attachments, you know, possession.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, everybody has their.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: I think everybody out there has something for protection.
- 11:49SPEAKER_03: I would hope so, yeah.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: It could be, you know, sage crystals or faith-based.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't carry crystals, I don't do the sage.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: I'm more faith-based.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: I believe I'm protected that way.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: But majority, like we talked before you got on, majority don't like to mention that they're Christian and do this field.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, have you guys got any backlash from that?
- 12:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
- 12:16SPEAKER_03: We've been uninvited from paracons because we're Christian.
- 12:20SPEAKER_03: Uh, we've been shunned in the you know, the churches because we're paranormal investigators, so we get it from both sides of the fence, honestly.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, it's it doesn't bother us.
- 12:34SPEAKER_03: I mean, that's good.
- 12:36SPEAKER_03: Jesus was persecuted too because of his faith, you know.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, not comparing it.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: But I'm just saying, you're gonna catch hate no matter what, you know.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: No, I I just find it interesting because it's not hugely talked about in the paranormal world.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: I think it's coming up a little more and more.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: Well, I think it's because there's a lot of controversy and people misunderstand that well, the church misunderstands that um it's supernatural.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: The Holy Spirit is supernatural, so and you're talking to spirits and um there's the Holy Spirit.
- 13:13SPEAKER_02: So, I mean, and then who do you go to when you you think you have bad like I don't know, you're have a demonic haunting or something.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: Who are you gonna go to?
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: Well the church.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: You know, the church, yeah, right?
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: So you might as well just go right out the gate with it and have Jesus and his angels protect you right out the gate where you're wherever you go.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: And um, I like to let people know that it's okay to say, you know, I'm a I'm a Christian and I'm a paranormal investigator, and I'm here to help you.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: It's okay to have to be both.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean when we do uh home investigations, which is what we really like to do, people are actually happy that that we're Christian, and this is the this is the authority on which we come into these places with, and this is the mindset that we come in when we do these investigations.
- 14:10SPEAKER_03: Um, we've gotten a lot of, you know, actually I don't think we've ever had a negative feedback, no.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: No, what's funny is they're very hesitant, but then after they've met us and they've investigated with us, it's the complete opposite.
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: They're like, wow, I want to do that again.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: That was really well.
- 14:27SPEAKER_03: There's a a question on here from Michael Messina that's actually a really good question.
- 14:32SPEAKER_03: How do you rectify children ghosts and a merciful God?
- 14:36SPEAKER_03: I am a Christian and it bothers me a lot.
- 14:38SPEAKER_03: That's a good question.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: Do you want to try in on that one or you want me to?
- 14:42SPEAKER_03: Because you have a better communication with them than than I.
- 14:46SPEAKER_03: I have my my theories, but you actually um well it is a very good question.
- 14:53SPEAKER_02: Now, when I when a child spirit comes along, they're usually about the age seven and up, because that's when you this is gonna get pretty deep.
- 15:04SPEAKER_02: That's when you have a conscience, when when you when life has hardened you and you choose right and wrong, you choose to do wrong instead of right, um and or they've died in a very traumatic way.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: Um, we usually we pray for them.
- 15:25SPEAKER_02: Um I've also come across spirits that are younger than that, and when they're younger than that, they're very they're helping another spirit, helping another child spirit.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: So it's I mean, how would you explain it?
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: I get lost.
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: They're sitting down, they're they're there with a purpose.
- 15:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know, God has allowed them to make uh to to communicate for a reason, and whatever that reason may be.
- 15:51SPEAKER_03: Now we believe that you know when when kids die, they go to heaven.
- 15:54SPEAKER_03: You know, they're not stuck here like like other spirits would be.
- 15:58SPEAKER_03: They go to heaven and they come back for a reason.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: We got somebody pretty hot here in the uh comments.
- 16:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, people who go to cemeteries.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: What we said was we don't go to cemeteries, and that's that's what you like to do, then rock on.
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: Uh that's that's just our moral compass.
- 16:15SPEAKER_03: We don't go to cemeteries, but I know you do.
- 16:17SPEAKER_03: You go on TikTok live, hit it, bud.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: I got no problem with that.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm not saying it's bad.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: That's just our thing, is we don't.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, that's the one thing about the paranormal world here is like your beliefs.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Like you do you do a lot of stuff there, so yeah.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's beliefs of just like you know, religion, like don't do this and do this, and say when you get into the paranormal field, it's the same thing.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: You know, you got people out there that you know go to cemeteries, don't go to cemeteries.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: It's not right or wrong, it's what you believe in and what you want to do.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: So we're not bashing anybody here.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Um, I just don't go to cemeteries because I don't believe they're honored, you know.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: No offense, Josh.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, we're not bashing you, man.
- 17:10SPEAKER_03: Your question about about kids, Mike.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: And if you have more questions, you can send me a question.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, ask away.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Uh Mike is uh one of my members of my group.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: So and I'm gonna bash him a little bit.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: That's the most uh intelligent question he's ever asked.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: So sorry, Bird.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: No, we're going off Friday to Grand Midway to do an investigation.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: So if it it's always best if you do come across what you believe is a child spirit, um the Bible says to challenge every spirit you come across.
- 17:48SPEAKER_03: Um ask, you know, challenge in the name of Jesus.
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: Are you are you here for are you on his behalf or are you something else?
- 17:56SPEAKER_03: You know, so challenge every spirit you come across.
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: No matter where you go.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:01SPEAKER_03: You know, if they're of God, then there's gonna be a reason why they're there.
- 18:06unknown: Yeah.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: So a lot of people say that child spirits are demons portraying themselves as children.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm I'm not saying it, but they're like every child spirit, because there's no reason for a child spirit to be trapped here.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: And that's yeah, and that's why it's important to challenge them because a lot of times, you know, the devil disguises himself as whatever would be innocent for you to open that window or that door, and they can get right in.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: And it's I mean, what better way but a kid?
- 18:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:40SPEAKER_02: So that and they put it in all the scary movies.
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: It's always yeah, the kids are creepy.
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: You ever wake up in the middle of the night and the kids stand up into your bed?
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: I have plenty of creepy kids.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: So well another religion um question, because I don't get to ask a lot of groups this is why are spirits still here?
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Why haven't they moved on, or either way?
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Because when we die, the it isn't just heaven or hell.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: When you die, you move on to the eternal part of your life, and that's why we still pray for spirits, that's why we still pray for our loved ones because they're still finishing the race over there, they're just not here.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: And sometimes when they're when they die and it's it was like you know, something traumatic, you may be the person that they're talking to that they need you to pray for them and talk to them to get out of that trauma, out of that loop for them to take the next step on the other side.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, there's so many different answers out there for it.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, I was just wondering what your opinion is.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, you're talking about children's spirits, I think it's trans Allegheny.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: There's a child spirit there, and they're saying it's looking for its mom.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: You know, that's why it's still stuck there, which is sad, but yeah.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: I'm trying a lot of comments tonight.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: So yeah, yeah, that's good.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: I love questions.
- 20:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's what I'm hoping this turns into my podcast because I don't want to ask the questions all the time.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: So I'm glad you guys had the comments on because usually I'm just repeating them.
- 20:30unknown: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: Haunted cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: You know, I I I bet there are a lot more haunted cemeteries than what I would know.
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, than what I would know.
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: Why are they haunted?
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: I guess that's just probably a goodest question is why is any house haunted?
- 20:47SPEAKER_03: They're definitely I don't feel I don't believe that the spirits are trapped in one specific place.
- 20:51SPEAKER_03: I believe if there's something trapped in the spot, it's the energy of that person.
- 20:55SPEAKER_03: So I don't know why a spirit would choose to hang out in a cemetery.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Well, I think like like Joshua's saying, so he goes to the cemetery and he helps a lot of spirits.
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: So we go to locations and we help spirits.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: So maybe they weren't there stuff at the cemetery, but they know that he's gonna be there, and so that person was there for him, meant to be in his path on his journey for him to help.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean that's just my thought.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: I was always a big believer, like spirits are at a location for a reason, they're comfortable there or whatever, but the more and more I do, it kind of seems like when you have a paranormal house and it's only a paranormal house that people go ask questions in the whole city.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Why wouldn't other spirits come and try to give their answers too?
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we run into that, especially in Atchison for some reason.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: When we go to the Mick Interior Villa, and we've been there quite a bit, we we always seem Get you know spirits that are just wandering by and wanted to stop and say hi, kind of thing.
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, tell their story.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: You know, what if they are attached to a certain place, and you're talking old cemeteries possibly being you know haunted, so those old places get torn down.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: What are they familiar with?
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: You know, I guess they're their remains, so could be a reason why they go back because they're comfortable there.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's um it's possible.
- 22:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's a good thought too.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, just if it is, we'll never know.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, well, I mean, besides that, we're gonna get into a little bit about your history and what got you here.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: So, Mike, you were in the army 11 years.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Well, you served what two tours?
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Am I correct?
- 22:48SPEAKER_03: Five, five, five.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: No, I was way off on that.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: I read that wrong on Facebook, but you served five tours, obviously.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: And uh became a police officer after, yes, then a firefighter.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: So your experiences in life help you with paranormal.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, um, you know, when when we do uh residential investigations, the interviewing part is is huge because a lot of times you can get down to the real answer just by talking to them a lot, you know.
- 23:24SPEAKER_03: Um you gain trust and you learn to look at things through a oh evidence is a good one, you know.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: I like to when I'm looking at evidence or equipment, you know, that's going off for whatever reason.
- 23:41SPEAKER_03: I like to have more than one piece of equipment going off.
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: Um one piece of evidence is good, two is great, and three, it's really hard to debunk three pieces of evidence cooperating together.
- 23:56SPEAKER_03: I think all of that stuff, you know, all of my um my experience has kind of helped me be a critical thinker when it comes to stuff like that.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Do you see a lot of like ex-cops or that are still cops doing in this field, and they're very like like you are, it's evidence-based, you know, you know, beyond a reasonable doubt.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: That's what we're looking for.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so like you said, you know, the more evidence the better.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: And Leah, you being medium, same thing.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: You can feel something, but you can go out there and say, like, there's a kid talking to me, but 50% are gonna 50% are gonna believe you, and he's gonna come, he's gonna come along and get the actual, I guess, so-called visual evidence of a recorder or REM pod, whatever you guys use.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so that that's that's kind of my job when we go on an investigation.
- 24:48SPEAKER_03: She'll say, Hey, let's go to this room, because I'm you know, whatever reason, you know, I'll follow her and she's picking up on stuff.
- 24:57SPEAKER_03: Uh, so it's my job to capture it so I can show you um what she's getting.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 25:04SPEAKER_03: Because if it was just for us, I mean, of course, I believe her.
- 25:06SPEAKER_03: We have seen too much, and if you've ever investigated with us, you'll you'll you'll see what we mean.
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: Uh we've seen I've seen too much to to not.
- 25:15SPEAKER_03: So I want to be able to show you what we're getting.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: That's good.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you'd have one book out now?
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: Or how many books have you written?
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: Just one, yeah.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Just one.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Playing on it, playing on any more.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, actually, I definitely want to make another one because I just keep learning more and more as we go along and and do things.
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: And I think, like I said, for me it's really important if you have the kind of faith base that we have.
- 25:48SPEAKER_02: I when I first started, I wanted books to read.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: I wanted somebody to turn to, I needed a mentor, I needed like you know, I'm a Christian, but I know these spirits are around.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: What's happening here?
- 26:00SPEAKER_02: I don't want to do the wrong thing.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: And so I I I plan on writing more books, and maybe hopefully it'll be a good guide for other people.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: So was I haven't read your book, so I'm planning on picking it up here.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: Where can I get your book?
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: Uh Amazon.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: What's the name of your book?
- 26:18SPEAKER_02: It's called No, Just Wait.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:22SPEAKER_02: And what I wrote it uh from my perspective of my near-death experience, and then he wrote part of it from his perspective, and then the doctor that did the surgery and saved my life, he actually wrote his perspective, so it's validated everything that I saw and had to say.
- 26:41SPEAKER_03: It's pretty neat having a doctor's perspective on all of that, and and a human, you know, because you know, sometimes doctors can get talking way up here, and they're like, Come on, man, bring it down here.
- 26:53SPEAKER_03: It's kind of neat to hear that the doctor's perspective on everything that she experienced.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: It was it was really neat.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: Oh carnable after dark.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, made a good point there about uh you know, floods, losing all the bodies down in Charleston.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, that could trigger a lot of stuff down there.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, that would be some unrest for sure.
- 27:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that would be that would be a wild one right there to go and do something like that.
- 27:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: And see, that would be helpful if you know something like that happens, and then you go if you go it with respect and you're you're there to do a job and to help the spirits, then you know, by all means do it.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: So um in your opinion, how would you help that situation?
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Because they were putting bodies back where their final resting spot wasn't.
- 27:49unknown: I don't know.
- 27:50SPEAKER_02: Well, for me it would be it would I think that I think that it would be taking the time so to listen to the spirit because when I when I channel them, they're they'll tell me everything that happened to them and who they are, and um, and then we always ask them what what would what would you what do you need?
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: And it's it's always it's always been prayer for us.
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: Can you pray for me?
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: Yes, we'll pray for you.
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: So I think that um it helps them no matter in what situation it is, it helps them rest and helps them.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: I feel it, and I can see it and feel it when I'm channeling it.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Nice, yeah.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, paranormal after dark, I had them on the show.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, they're a great group out of Pennsylvania, and yes, you do everything respectfully.
- 28:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, definitely.
- 28:46SPEAKER_03: You want to hear a little bit about your near-death experience.
- 28:49SPEAKER_02: Okay, um, where do I go there?
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: Well, so when she was taken to the hospital, she got to the hospital uh a couple minutes before I did.
- 29:03SPEAKER_03: I had a chance to go into registration and check in, and they made the mistake of telling me what room number she was in.
- 29:11SPEAKER_03: So uh, and I I like you said I'm a firefighter and I work in EMS, so I'm very familiar with hospitals and terminology.
- 29:18SPEAKER_03: Um, so I go and I sit down, and I'm not sat down but maybe five minutes, and I hear the tones go over the intercom that says code blue room, whatever it was.
- 29:29SPEAKER_03: And I know that code blue means no pulse, not breathing.
- 29:32SPEAKER_03: That means they are dead.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:34SPEAKER_03: When I went to talk to the registration, she realized that she messed up when she told me what room number Leah was in.
- 29:40SPEAKER_03: So they put me in what was what they call the quiet room.
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: They call it a room where the doctor can come and talk to you.
- 29:46SPEAKER_03: No, it's a room to get you out of the way so that way you don't make a scene in front of everybody else.
- 29:52SPEAKER_03: After a while, the doctor finally came in and I said, Hey, the only thing I want to know is does my wife have a pulse?
- 29:57SPEAKER_03: Said, yes, we got her back.
- 29:59SPEAKER_03: And they took me back there to see her.
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: Um and they were getting ready to take her back to emergency surgery to figure out where the bleed was at.
- 30:12SPEAKER_03: She had well, she had two um arterial aneurysms.
- 30:16SPEAKER_03: Um a gastroduodenal artery uh had ruptured and the splenic artery had ruptured.
- 30:22SPEAKER_03: So they took her to emergency surgery um and they found what they thought was the bleed.
- 30:27SPEAKER_03: They fixed it and they took her up to the ICU.
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: Between the the OR and the ICU, which is not very far, she um her stomach began to fill up with blood so much that it was putting pressure on her lungs and her heart that her heart couldn't breathe.
- 30:44SPEAKER_03: Or I'm sorry, her heart couldn't beat.
- 30:46SPEAKER_03: Um, so the doctor came out and said, Hey, we need to open her up and relieve this pressure.
- 30:51SPEAKER_03: I said, Well, stop talking to me and go and do it.
- 30:54SPEAKER_03: It was probably 30 to 40 feet from where I was at to her room in the ICU, and in that 30 to 40 feet, she had coded again, so her heart stopped a second time.
- 31:05SPEAKER_03: Well, the doctor did an emergency surgery in the ICU with no anesthesia.
- 31:11SPEAKER_03: So he opened her up from chest down to her pubic bone, and that's where he was, you know, able to see what was going on.
- 31:21SPEAKER_03: Um, they gave her six uh complete blood transfusions, that's how much blood she had lost.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: And uh and I saw all this, so when my heart my heart stopped, um what I saw was the beginning of the story where you hear you're above your body, and I was kind of above my body.
- 31:43SPEAKER_02: I could see the whole scene, and around my face it was really bright, and there was a nurses and the doctor, somebody was working on me to get me back, and then I saw the doctor take his tin blade and just slice me right down the middle.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: I saw the blood just gush out, um, and then everybody stopped for a second, everybody gasped.
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: And um, when I told him that he he verified with the other nurses that that was that is what happened, everybody stopped and like they didn't expect that much blood to come out when he did that.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: And uh I could see, but I could see that, and then I could see Mike in the waiting room at the same time.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: So when you're dead, you can see everybody and everything at the same time, and there is no concept of time like there is here, it was which is really different, and that's I like to explain that to people when their loved ones comes through.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: They're like, Well, how can they see that?
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: How do they know that?
- 32:45SPEAKER_02: And I go, the best way I can describe it is when I died, I could I could see everything, and and then after that I uh kind of went off into a a dark, a darkness in a dark tunnel, and um it got darker and darker, and I could hear people's voices that were really familiar, but they were people that were alive, and I and I I went closer because I knew to be voices, but then they started to torture me, and the torture was physical, but like you can't feel it on your body, it's more of a deep sadness and depression and hopelessness that you can't get out of, um, and you keep fighting it, and then I got to the point where I was like, Okay, I guess this you know, I was about to give up.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: And hold on.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Well, there was a hand that was on my right arm, I remember if I can remember it, um, and then there was like a a white bright light warm behind me, and I kept looking at this hand, and as soon as I saw the hand, I heard no, just wait, and I knew it was Jesus because the darkness was gone.
- 34:09SPEAKER_02: I could see Mike again and my mom, and um, they were praying, and um my mom was, and it was like a peace came over me that it surpasses all understanding.
- 34:24SPEAKER_02: You're absolutely perfect, you're in perfect peace, perfect love, perfect everything.
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: And what I wanted was for Mike to come up there with and be with me, yeah, because it is absolutely perfect.
- 34:36SPEAKER_02: So that's a little bit of my neurodeath experience without giving away the whole little book that I buy the book, come on.
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: There's a lot more in there.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: That's a beautiful and scary story.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean that's the only way I can put it.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, got no other words besides that.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: So that's fine.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, thanks for sharing it, but I mean you guys have kids, correct?
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: You do?
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, five.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Wow, that's a lot.
- 35:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they keep me busy.
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: They arrange 18 to 9 years old.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: So a little older, so it's all walks of life.
- 35:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 35:22SPEAKER_03: We feel about this getting a funeral home.
- 35:25SPEAKER_03: Oh, absolutely.
- 35:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we went to the sleeper mortuary.
- 35:29SPEAKER_03: We've got a couple of sleeper and maybe just sleeper.
- 35:34SPEAKER_03: But no, I think those are fine.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 35:37SPEAKER_03: Those are cool.
- 35:38SPEAKER_03: Especially the older ones, definitely creepy.
- 35:41SPEAKER_03: I don't even like walking through funeral homes.
- 35:43SPEAKER_03: It's just something about funeral homes just I hate, I hate I can be around dead bodies, but something about after a dead body has gone through the the process at a funeral, I it just freaks me out.
- 35:56SPEAKER_03: I can't do it.
- 35:58SPEAKER_03: Asylums, yeah, they wake me buggy.
- 36:03SPEAKER_03: Asylums are uh they're always exciting.
- 36:06SPEAKER_03: And I think they're important too because the people that were there, especially in the early 1900s, late 1800s, they weren't they weren't very good places to be.
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: And so many of those spirits were neglected and abused, and they need to be heard, and they need to have their story told, and they need to have people praying quorum.
- 36:29SPEAKER_03: And and yeah, you're gonna go to some places where you're gonna have some really crazy was uh off-the-wall experiences because people were had mental problems.
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: I mean, I I would think the spirits that energy is gonna be there as well.
- 36:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so it's not them after they die, but I think they it's the energy, yeah, of them that was there.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think asylums and hospitals are you get a mix.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, I said you have mental cases, you have people that were not really supposed to be there.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Um, they got misdiagnosed or just shoved off there because it's 1800s, 1900s.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: But then you have the aspect of the staff members too.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: Like we always say, like the nurses that took care of these patients, you know, for 20 years.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: I believe a lot of some nurses are still there, still doing the same thing, taking care of the patients.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: So you got a lot of mix.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: I think hospitals is where life begins and life ends.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, a lot of a lot of spirits there.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: So uh we'll get out this a little bit equipment-wise, yeah, ask some generic questions.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Besides Leo, what's your go-to equipment?
- 37:44SPEAKER_03: Um well, it depends.
- 37:46SPEAKER_02: I like cat bulbs.
- 37:47SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna lie.
- 37:49SPEAKER_02: I love cat balls.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: If I'm trying to, if I'm doing a residential and I'm trying and I'm trying to capture real evidence, I guess you know, um I like video and audio.
- 38:01SPEAKER_03: You know, it's EVPs and D VRs and right-playing cameras are always the best.
- 38:08SPEAKER_03: Now, if I'm just out having fun at a at a place or doing an event, I'll I like um REM pods.
- 38:14SPEAKER_03: Um we have a trip wire, which is it's okay, it's kind of fun.
- 38:19SPEAKER_03: Um rim pods are my favorite.
- 38:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 38:25SPEAKER_02: And I like cat balls.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: We got that, we got the cat ball down.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: No.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: That's funny because you go to any you know popular place and you're gonna trip on cat balls.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: Like people leave them all over the place.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: There's times I leave with half of what I brought, and there's times I leave with 10 more than I brought.
- 38:48SPEAKER_03: Every year we buy new boxes.
- 38:49SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I mean they're great, they're a great tool to have.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, cheap, good.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, me personally, I'm I'm an EVP hound, I love EVPs.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: Um you'll see a lot of my videos on investigations.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: I think I've done 18 this year.
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: I have like no videos, like I am terrible at taking videos, but recording non-stop.
- 39:14SPEAKER_03: So when we show up to a place, I I try to blanket the whole place as much as I can with uh with cameras.
- 39:20SPEAKER_03: I've got my my D VR system, I've got two cameras that I walk around with.
- 39:25SPEAKER_03: I have another camcorder that I can set in a spot.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: I have a couple of little action cameras that I can set up if I need to.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and if you don't get them all set up where you want any little blanket, no, I'll I'll get a hold of you after this because I've been looking at D VRs and I just there's just way too many out there.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I'll see what you use.
- 39:48SPEAKER_03: Um the Esther Smith.
- 39:50SPEAKER_03: That's Leah, that used to be Leah's go-to.
- 39:53SPEAKER_02: And um yeah, the white noise I could channel really quickly.
- 39:57SPEAKER_02: It was just instant.
- 39:58SPEAKER_02: I didn't I don't hear whatever the radio stand.
- 40:00SPEAKER_02: It was literally just the white noise and the fast frequency, and I'm just off.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: I don't know what's going on.
- 40:07SPEAKER_02: I'm just telling you what I see and what's going on.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: It's probably not even I don't even do the true essence method.
- 40:12SPEAKER_02: Now, the real essence method, I think it's pretty cool for people who don't use it to channel like I did.
- 40:19SPEAKER_02: Like when you put them on.
- 40:20SPEAKER_03: I can't stand it.
- 40:21SPEAKER_03: That the noise, it it just drives me stinking nuts, and I can't do it.
- 40:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: Well, it's definitely not for everybody, I'll tell you that much.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, people always want to try it, and they're like, How can you do it?
- 40:32SPEAKER_03: No, it's exciting that she puts the headphones on because you're about and anybody again that's investigated with this or watched our videos, you have a conversation, and uh you know, I talk extra quiet on purpose, and I ask I ask questions that will that she's not gonna know I'm gonna ask what color are my shoes?
- 40:54SPEAKER_03: What you know, what what logo is on my hat, you know, just stuff like that.
- 40:58SPEAKER_03: Just off well, it's kind of a I like to call them control questions, and she answers them.
- 41:04SPEAKER_03: One really good estus that we had on our video is uh at Edinburgh Manor, and we did a double estus, and uh that was that was probably one of the best ones that we caught on camera.
- 41:17SPEAKER_02: I like watching it afterwards because I don't know what's going on.
- 41:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you don't know what's going on.
- 41:21SPEAKER_02: So when I watched it, I'm like, what?
- 41:24SPEAKER_03: I asked the question, you know, what's on the guy's hat behind her?
- 41:28SPEAKER_03: And obviously, she can't see behind her, and she he was wearing a browning hat.
- 41:32SPEAKER_02: I'm not a very observant person, so not gonna lie.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that was funny.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: Go check that video on Edinburgh.
- 41:39SPEAKER_03: And uh that was a really neat one.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: So, plan-wise, future.
- 41:44SPEAKER_03: I mean, do you guys stay a lot around just Kansas or is Kansas yeah, or do you guys we go as far as the bank account will allow me.
- 41:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:55SPEAKER_03: Um, we went up to uh to Broadhead, Wisconsin, which is a phenomenal place.
- 42:00SPEAKER_03: Um, I highly recommend that place.
- 42:03SPEAKER_03: Um, I caught some of my best shadow figures on camera there on the DBRs.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: Uh what are we counting?
- 42:10SPEAKER_03: 11?
- 42:11SPEAKER_03: 11 shadows walking out of a classroom on camera.
- 42:14SPEAKER_03: That was really cool.
- 42:15SPEAKER_03: Um, and then on the other end, Leah was walking out, and right in front of her, you see a white mist come out.
- 42:20SPEAKER_03: You can see the eyes.
- 42:21SPEAKER_02: I saw it with my eyes, so I was so happy when he got it on the camera.
- 42:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:27SPEAKER_03: And uh Bill Walter, the owner of the place, he's got this really cool uh uh experiment.
- 42:33SPEAKER_03: Um, so he's got the place set up for a year-round haunted house.
- 42:36SPEAKER_03: Well, not year-round, he's for a haunted house in October.
- 42:40SPEAKER_03: Um, which always it definitely ups the creep value.
- 42:44SPEAKER_03: But downstairs he's got uh a fog machine that he lights the room up with lasers and the fog, and you can actually see the spirits walk through the fog.
- 42:54SPEAKER_03: It is the craziest thing.
- 42:57SPEAKER_00: I saw you guys post that a couple of times.
- 43:02SPEAKER_03: But it's uh yeah, we kind of we got that on video on some really cool stuff there.
- 43:05SPEAKER_03: So that's a that was a really cool place to go to.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: Then we went up to Indiana and Ohio a couple of times.
- 43:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:12SPEAKER_02: Um I think this next year we're gonna try to hit Iowa.
- 43:16SPEAKER_03: We're gonna be in Iowa quite a bit, yeah.
- 43:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and um that's as far as we've gotten.
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: We go to Missouri a lot now.
- 43:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we've been this year we spent a lot of time in Missouri.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: Thanks, Patriot.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: They're always like, hey, check this place out.
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, yeah, because they find some really cool places out there.
- 43:38SPEAKER_02: And I like the ones that are not over investigated.
- 43:42SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:43SPEAKER_03: You get to the places that are too popular and people do a lot of stuff there that uh that attracts some not so friendly spirits, and then it just takes all the fun out of it.
- 43:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: So if I'm going to Kansas, name one or two places I have to hit.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: paranormal investigator the Victor Villa in Atchison and Leveline down here in Abilene.
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:11SPEAKER_02: Come on out.
- 44:15SPEAKER_03: How can we use uh my D V R cameras are Zossi Z O S I and then uh my regular cameras are they're just some cheap 4K cameras I got on Amazon.
- 44:29SPEAKER_03: I can't even pronounce the names Chinese or something.
- 44:33SPEAKER_03: But they do a pretty good job.
- 44:34SPEAKER_03: I mean that's what all my videos are.
- 44:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: Anything else you want to talk about?
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: We hit everything right now.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: So I mean let's talk about kids right now.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: Not just your kids but do any of your kids go do any investigation the older ones?
- 44:51SPEAKER_03: We've taken our oldest on a couple um not our oldest I'm sorry our second son 16.
- 44:57SPEAKER_03: He's he's gone on a couple investigations.
- 44:59SPEAKER_03: Is he said um okay he's gone on a couple investigations and he he's all darn that kid he's pretty brave he just takes up and does his thing.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah no problem um and he's pretty sensitive he knows when they're around uh and then we we took we did a kid's ghost hunt out here at old Avalon Town and we took the two littler ones and they had a really good time too I think it's a good way to introduce them into the paranormal in a safe way.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah we we did you just say the kids investigation yeah I did all the kids right here I took a walk for a second it's a it's kind of a big top topic right now with kids doing it and some people obviously how you approach it like if you have the right people like you two like you know what you're doing and respect the spirits I don't see a problem showing them the right way.
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah it's important to show them the right way that's like yeah right there because if they just watch some of these uh you know some of these other investigators who you know just either a run around and scream or they start getting into you know Ouija boards and s or scrying or stuff like that they don't really know anything about right it and very badly for them.
- 46:24SPEAKER_03: So they've got to really careful they've got to be taught the right way and respectful way of investigating and what evidence is real and important.
- 46:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah yeah I mean you put a bunch of kids in a in a room in the dark and they're gonna just run around screen so it's you gotta you gotta calm them down and let them know that not every creek or or grease is a ghost.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah yeah well and not every spirit is mean.
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: Exactly I mean everybody's so scared of the unknown and I've run into that where someone said they had a kid's spirit at their house and they were scared and I'm like just roll them up maybe the kid just wants to play like roll a ball like I mean who knows it could just be a spirit that wants to play I mean it's nothing even if it's a mean spirit doesn't mean it's a demonic spirit.
- 47:16unknown: Right.
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah it's just an old guy who's an asshole that's the big thing like so demonic what what percentage do you actually think is demonic out there that people say I think it's more than you said more than it needs to be more than it used to be.
- 47:33SPEAKER_03: Used to be why is that I think we run into it more than I thought we would that's well and you people perceive demonic uh experiences way different than we do I mean one so take her and I for example we went to the Sally house which is the Sally house you know famously demonic haunted house we're both walking we're both sitting in the living room or in the basement oh we'll talk about the basement and I'm fine I am cool as the day is long just nothing going on and she's like no there is something dark here right now and I don't like it you know now she doesn't get scared but she's like no there's something dark and and we need to be careful and I'm like I'm good so you know because she had she's more in tune she she sees the spirits in a different way than we do so just because we don't see it or experience it like that doesn't mean they're not there so and then you know demonic spirits will will uh will reveal themselves in different ways maybe they're a kid maybe they're maybe all they do is just move something you know so you really gotta there's a whole lot of stuff that goes into it for you I mean for a demonic spirit but it depends on who you go with and who that person is or you know to be able to pick up on demons like you I don't think I've ever ran into demonic stuff all the investigation I've done like you said just mainly asshole spirits I mean that's what I feel like I run into more do you believe that like because of your faith and strong beliefs could it like is that demon gonna try to challenge you more than someone that's not you can answer that first what maybe I mean it's just a question it just popped in my head that's a good question um I we don't we don't sit there and try to play around when we come across something that we believe is demonic you know because um I don't want to give them an opportunity well you're not to engage in conversation with it so if you know it is you need to just as soon as we realize that something could uh could be demonic we I stop her and we would jump straight into prayer now you're gonna have residual um feelings from from all of that you know when we went to Garnett House we that that house affected us for a long time months months and uh and and so whenever we come across something that we believe is demonic we jump straight into prayer and and we try we just leave alone you know I mean it's not gonna leave you alone until you until you get some some protection you call the name of Jesus and have his angels come down because that's the only thing that's gonna stop him you know your rocks your sages and stuff like that you know that that that's not gonna protect you from anything I mean that's a good answer.
- 50:52SPEAKER_03: I mean glad you said like you're not gonna push the envelope there like no we don't you know I if I know uh if you ask me to go and investigate this house on house on on this street uh it's a famously demonic house no thanks but I'm good you know I believe you I don't need to go there to to experience that I'm good so it's I've gotten a lot pickier over the over over the years of where we go um like we like to go to battlefield houses you know like like Battle Lexington Oliver Anderson house that was amazing because it's not overly investigated people don't go in there and and and stir stuff up with you know Ouija boards and stuff and accidentally invite something in or on purpose invite something in.
- 51:36SPEAKER_03: So it's it's it's a true authentic punt.
- 51:42SPEAKER_03: And because like I said it it takes the fun out of a place when you go in there and there's something not nice and and it scratches you or it smells like rotting meat or it throws stuff at you or it's talking you know just vileness and you don't want to where's the fun in that yeah anybody that's truly experienced a demonic content knows this it's not fun.
- 52:06SPEAKER_03: I mean as paranormal surface of it so I don't want to say we're truly experienced we've only scratched the surface and I'm good there.
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: I mean as paranormal investigators we're you know majority are out there trying to get answers that's what that's what we do I mean that's what majority do um big majority now just want you know tick tock followers and views but yeah if you're like you're really into this for the reason and then you're going out there to get answers and maybe help that spirit or help a family out that is dealing with something so yeah there's really no reason to go in like all this is demonic house like hey let's go in and what what are you gonna accomplish like I don't right now if we you know because like I said we'll what we like to do our main calling is to help people residentially if we go in there and it happens to be demonic or dark what have you then that's that's different because we didn't seek it out somebody yeah totally different so all right well again I appreciate you two coming on again follow them on Facebook their YouTube page I really appreciate you being open about how you investigate and your beliefs because it's not out there that much anymore I think more and more people are coming out as that so I mean I'm happy be it be unapologetically Christian Leah thanks for sharing your story definitely gonna go get your book stay real we'll talk to you later again thanks for everybody joining
