• 0:11
Speaker 1: I've spoken to Russia about that, and I think it
• 0:13
Speaker 1: would be something that we would want to do and
• 0:16
Speaker 1: they would like to do, and I think Russia would.

• 0:53
Speaker 4: another shocking story, the Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott
• 0:57
Speaker 4: Turner is now blaming checked illegal immigration for the pricing
• 1:03
Speaker 4: out of families American families amid the new housing report
• 1:07
Speaker 4: that is showing now countless numbers of apartments and rental
• 1:11
Speaker 4: properties are being rented by illegal immigrants, making home ownership
• 1:17
Speaker 4: almost unaffordable for many Americans. But first, I want to

• 3:29
Speaker 4: It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 3:33
  Speaker 3: Story number one.
• 3:34
Speaker 4: There has been a lot in the news about the
• 3:36
Speaker 4: Somali population defrauding taxpayers at record rates, costing you millions
• 3:44
Speaker 4: and millions and millions and millions of taxpayers dollars in Minnesota. Well,
• 3:49
Speaker 4: I wish I could tell you it's gotten better, but
• 3:52
Speaker 4: it isn't at all. It's actually gotten even worse. In
• 3:55
Speaker 4: what we're finding out about how much money the Somali
• 3:59
Speaker 4: community is take from all of us. How bad is it?
• 4:03
Speaker 4: Nearly every Somali household with children is on welfare. That's right.
• 4:12
Speaker 4: New data is showing that more than eight in ten
• 4:15
Speaker 4: households headed by Somali refugees in the state of Minnesota
• 4:20
Speaker 4: are on one or more forms of American taxpayer funded welfare.
• 4:25
Speaker 4: This new data, published by the Center for Immigration Studies
• 4:29
Speaker 4: is revealing this shocking news. Now. The data is actually
• 4:34
Speaker 4: based on ten years a decade of data from the
• 4:38
Speaker 4: Census Bureau's American Community Survey, known as the ACS, and
• 4:43
Speaker 4: it shows drastic disparities between native born American households and
• 4:49
Speaker 4: Somali born households in Minnesota, where nearly eighty thousand residents
• 4:54
Speaker 4: have Somali ancestry compared to zero who had Somali ancestry
• 4:59
Speaker 4: in Nai nineteen ninety. In particular, the data shows that
• 5:04
Speaker 4: eighty one percent of Minnesota households headed by Somali refugees
• 5:10
Speaker 4: are on one or more form of welfare, including twenty
• 5:15
Speaker 4: seven percent who are on cash welfare, fifty four percent
• 5:20
Speaker 4: who are on food stamps, and seventy three percent who
• 5:25
Speaker 4: are on medicaid. Now, many are on multiple forms of
• 5:30
Speaker 4: government aid welfare. Now you compare this massive welfare to
• 5:35
Speaker 4: Native born Americans residing in Minnesota, the numbers are completely
• 5:41
Speaker 4: and staggeringly different, only twenty one percent of whom are
• 5:45
Speaker 4: on one or more form of welfare. When it comes
• 5:49
Speaker 4: to American Native born, including just six percent who are
• 5:54
Speaker 4: on cash welfare, seven percent who are on food stamps,
• 5:59
Speaker 4: teen percent who are on medicaid. Now, let me just
• 6:02
Speaker 4: go back through these numbers and compare them. Of Native
• 6:06
Speaker 4: born Americans residing Minnesota, just six percent are on cash welfare,
• 6:11
Speaker 4: Somali refugees in Minnesota twenty seven percent on cash welfare,
• 6:16
Speaker 4: and just seven percent of Native born Americans residing Minnesota
• 6:21
Speaker 4: are on food stamps. Again, I go back and really
• 6:24
Speaker 4: think about these numbers in your head. Of the Somali
• 6:27
Speaker 4: refugees in Minnesota, fifty four percent of them are on
• 6:31
Speaker 4: food stamps. And if you look at medicaid, of Native
• 6:35
Speaker 4: born Americans residing Minnesota, eighteen percent are on Medicaid. Seventy
• 6:40
Speaker 4: three percent of Somali refugees are on medicaid. That is
• 6:46
Speaker 4: an insane number, a number that should scare everyone because
• 6:51
Speaker 4: it's unsustainable. Now, welfare use goes even higher, by the way,
• 6:56
Speaker 4: for Somali households with children that are in the home,
• 7:00
Speaker 4: the ACS data find. So that was just in general numbers, right,
• 7:05
Speaker 4: like a grown woman or a grown man. Now if
• 7:08
Speaker 4: you look at households with a child in it, the
• 7:11
Speaker 4: numbers skyrocket even more. Eighty nine percent of Somali headed
• 7:17
Speaker 4: households with children in Minnesota are on one or more
• 7:21
Speaker 4: forms of welfare. Eighty six percent of these households with
• 7:27
Speaker 4: children that are Somali headed eighty six percent on medicaid,
• 7:32
Speaker 4: and this number is the most damming. About sixty two
• 7:36
Speaker 4: percent of Somali households with children in the state are
• 7:39
Speaker 4: on food stamps and twenty three percent take cash welfare. Now,
• 7:44
Speaker 4: most of these families are on at least two forms
• 7:47
Speaker 4: of government aid, some have three even four. Quote nearly
• 7:52
Speaker 4: every Somali household with children receive some form of welfare.
• 7:56
Speaker 4: That is what the CIS researcher Jason which Wine said
• 8:00
Speaker 4: in this report. The gap between Somali households with children
• 8:03
Speaker 4: on welfare and Native born Americans that with children on
• 8:07
Speaker 4: welfare is wide. Only about three and ten Minnesota households
• 8:13
Speaker 4: with children take one or more forms of welfare, all right,
• 8:17
Speaker 4: So thirty percent only six percent on cash welfare if
• 8:21
Speaker 4: you're a Native born, ten percent in Minnesota Native born
• 8:26
Speaker 4: on food stamps, and twenty eight percent on medicaid. Eighty
• 8:30
Speaker 4: nine percent of Somali headed households with children Minnesota are
• 8:32
Speaker 4: on one or more forms of welfare. This goes back
• 8:36
Speaker 4: to what President Donald Trump talked about a couple of
• 8:39
Speaker 4: days ago. Why on earth would we continue to bring
• 8:43
Speaker 4: people into this country that we are having to take
• 8:46
Speaker 4: care of indefinitely, that are costing us countless dollars when
• 8:51
Speaker 4: we have plenty of Americans that need help. First, we
• 8:57
Speaker 4: have countless felling schools, we have living in poverty. We
• 9:02
Speaker 4: still have a homeless crisis where our men and women
• 9:04
Speaker 4: that fought to protect and serve this country. So why
• 9:07
Speaker 4: would we bring in Somali's where we know that eighty
• 9:11
Speaker 4: nine percent of them, if they have children, we're going
• 9:14
Speaker 4: to have to pay for their life. Where eighty six
• 9:16
Speaker 4: percent of them are going to be on medicaid, Where
• 9:19
Speaker 4: sixty two percent of them are on food stamps and
• 9:22
Speaker 4: where twenty three percent takes cash, welfare and maybe even more.
• 9:28
Speaker 4: These numbers aren't even close to the native born numbers. Now, disparities,
• 9:33
Speaker 4: by the way, between Native born Americans and Somali refugees
• 9:36
Speaker 4: in Minnesota goes deeper than welfare use. The data also
• 9:39
Speaker 4: shows Somali refugees that are in or near poverty in
• 9:44
Speaker 4: Minnesota surpasses sixty six percent, while fewer than two and
• 9:49
Speaker 4: ten Native born Minnesotas live in or near the poverty line.
• 9:55
Speaker 4: So almost seven out of every ten Somali refugees are
• 9:59
Speaker 4: living in near the poverty line. That number is crazy.
• 10:03
Speaker 4: But let's talk about are they at least trying to
• 10:06
Speaker 4: become Americans? Are they trying to assimilate? Are they trying
• 10:10
Speaker 4: to become a part of this country? The refugees that
• 10:13
Speaker 4: have come over from Somalia. All right, here's some more
• 10:15
Speaker 4: data for you. Just zero point seven percent of Native
• 10:21
Speaker 4: born Americans in Minnesota speak English less than very well.
• 10:26
Speaker 4: Almost sixty percent of Smali refugees say they don't speak
• 10:29
Speaker 4: any English very well, including nearly half of Somali refugees
• 10:34
Speaker 4: who have lived in Minnesota for more than a decade.
• 10:37
Speaker 4: Samali refugees in Minnesota also tend to be vastly less
• 10:41
Speaker 4: educated than their Minnesota and counterparts. Well, only five percent
• 10:45
Speaker 4: of dative born Americans in Minnesota do not have a
• 10:47
Speaker 4: high school diploma, so it's actually a very educated state.
• 10:50
Speaker 4: Almost forty percent of small refugees say the same, including
• 10:54
Speaker 4: more than twenty eight percent who have lived in Minnesota
• 10:56
Speaker 4: for more than a decade, and they still don't have
• 10:59
Speaker 4: the education they need to succeed at a high level.
• 11:03
Speaker 4: You put all that together, this is a recipe for disaster.
• 11:07
Speaker 4: We know it, and we have the data to prove it.
• 11:10
Speaker 4: So why on earth are we still having these programs?
• 11:15
  Speaker 5: Which is the.
• 11:16
Speaker 4: Question that the President of the United States of America
• 11:20
Speaker 4: has been asking, and it's one that every American should
• 11:24
Speaker 4: want or demand an answer from it. Now, all the
• 11:27
Speaker 4: data I just gave you, I really hope you'll take
• 11:30
Speaker 4: it and you'll share it. I hope you take the podcast,
• 11:33
Speaker 4: share it wherever you can on social media, because this
• 11:37
Speaker 4: is the exact type of data that needs to get
• 11:39
  Speaker 4: out there now.
• 11:40
  Speaker 3: Story number two.
• 11:41
Speaker 4: It brings me to another story that I also want
• 11:44
Speaker 4: to bring up, and it's about exactly what is happening
• 11:48
Speaker 4: with immigration in general. There's other shocking news that has
• 11:51
Speaker 4: come out from the HUD secretary, warning that illegal immigration
• 11:57
Speaker 4: is pushing home prices than you can imagine in new
• 12:02
Speaker 4: comments that have come out as the agency has released
• 12:04
Speaker 4: a damning report on the housing market strain. And if
• 12:10
Speaker 4: you are an American that wants to own a home,
• 12:12
Speaker 4: it's harder now than it's been in my lifetime. There
• 12:16
Speaker 4: is a lack of affordability and home prices have gotten
• 12:19
Speaker 4: incredibly high, making those forty and under in essence, renters,
• 12:25
Speaker 4: not home owners. The Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott
• 12:30
Speaker 4: Turner slammed the Biden administration for what he called an
• 12:33
Speaker 4: illegal immigration and refugee crisis that has rattled the housing market,
• 12:40
Speaker 4: particularly for low income renters. There is more shocking details
• 12:45
Speaker 4: that he explained on Fox News Channel, and I want
• 12:49
Speaker 4: you to hear what he had to say to Kaylee Mcananny.
• 12:51
Speaker 5: I'm joined now by Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner.
• 12:54
Speaker 5: Secretary Turner, you know, it was interesting I was watching
• 12:57
Speaker 5: some of your interviews this week and you actually linked
• 12:59
Speaker 5: a legal immigration to part of the reason we have
• 13:02
  Speaker 5: a housing crisis.
• 13:03
Speaker 2: Well, good morning, Kley it's always great to be with you.
• 13:05
Speaker 2: And yes, during the Biden administration, the immigration policies crippled
• 13:10
Speaker 2: our nation over twelve million illegal immigrants. So illegal aliens
• 13:14
Speaker 2: came across our border, really stifling our housing affordability and
• 13:19
Speaker 2: supply issue in our country. And when you have this
• 13:22
Speaker 2: many illegal aliens coming over taking homes that are supposed
• 13:26
Speaker 2: to be for the American people, affordability is are automatically
• 13:30
Speaker 2: going to go up. Kayley, here's an interesting stat for you.
• 13:33
Speaker 2: Fifty nine percent of illegal alien families use one or
• 13:37
Speaker 2: more welfare programs in America, costing US about forty two
• 13:41
Speaker 2: billion dollars a year. And so we have to get
• 13:45
Speaker 2: the immigration policy in order, which President Trump has done
• 13:48
Speaker 2: and others in the administration. But yes, illegal immigration has
• 13:52
Speaker 2: definitely stifled housing affordability and supply.
• 13:55
Speaker 5: One of the things that I think is really fantastic
• 13:57
Speaker 5: about the Trump administration is you're always coming up with
• 13:59
Speaker 5: new ideas, whether it be tariff dividends, the healthcare payments,
• 14:03
Speaker 5: and in your case you're in housing, We've heard about
• 14:05
Speaker 5: this idea of a portable mortgage, perhaps a fifty year mortgage,
• 14:09
Speaker 5: and that we could debate the efficacy of all these ideas,
• 14:11
Speaker 5: but you're coming up with solutions. Tell us about some
• 14:14
Speaker 5: of those conversations. Do you all get in a room
• 14:16
Speaker 5: and just plan and think, how can we help the
• 14:18
Speaker 5: American people? Here's some new ideas.
• 14:20
Speaker 2: Yes, Calyn, you know all too well, having us served
• 14:23
Speaker 2: so faithfully in the first administration that President Trump not
• 14:27
Speaker 2: only as a strategist, but he executes on ideas. And
• 14:31
Speaker 2: so right now there's many ideas, a myriad of ideas
• 14:34
Speaker 2: on the table as it pertains a housing affordability and
• 14:37
Speaker 2: helping first time home buyers in America. I hear it,
• 14:41
Speaker 2: You hear it, gen Z, Millennials and others, and how
• 14:44
Speaker 2: we're going to be able to afford a home. And
• 14:46
Speaker 2: so not only do we understand it, but you have
• 14:49
Speaker 2: people leadership in this country getting together, getting stakeholders together,
• 14:53
Speaker 2: industry experts to see what is the best feasible and
• 14:56
Speaker 2: appropriate path that we can take to open up a
• 14:59
Speaker 2: build and in our country. And I will say, in
• 15:01
Speaker 2: addition to that, Kayley, the regulatory environment is burden some
• 15:06
Speaker 2: in our country, and so at HUD we've taken down
• 15:09
Speaker 2: burdened some regulations affirmatively further in fair housing, which made
• 15:13
Speaker 2: HUD and National Zoning Board, restoring local control back to
• 15:17
Speaker 2: the cities, back to the states, back to the localities.
• 15:20
Speaker 2: And we're encouraging every locality take inventory of your regulatory
• 15:24
Speaker 2: environment to see how you can unleash building and development
• 15:28
Speaker 2: in USA community. And so these ideas taking down the
• 15:32
Speaker 2: regulatory environment, public private partnerships are all part of the plan.
• 15:35
Speaker 4: I go back to one of the things that Turner
• 15:38
Speaker 4: said there the quote unchecked legal immigration and open borders
• 15:41
Speaker 4: policies allowed by the Biden administration continue to put significant
• 15:46
Speaker 4: strengd on housing pricing out American families. These policies that
• 15:51
Speaker 4: plagued Americans housing market. But in Trump's presidency, Americans finally
• 15:58
Speaker 4: have a leader fighting to restore the Senate for American
• 16:01
Speaker 4: immigration policy. You look at this report and Hudd's twenty
• 16:07
Speaker 4: twenty five report also found that increased immigration has driven
• 16:12
Speaker 4: up the price you're paying for a house and that
• 16:16
Speaker 4: unrestricted nature of the influx has both strained the housing market.
• 16:22
Speaker 4: And this is from the report Priced Out Many American Families.
• 16:26
Speaker 4: Report found that an estimated fifteen million illegal immigrants constant
• 16:33
Speaker 4: thirty percent of all foreign born residents now. Turner also
• 16:39
Speaker 4: added that Hudd took away federal housing Authority back mortgages
• 16:43
Speaker 4: from illegal immigrants offered during the Biden administration, saying the
• 16:47
Speaker 4: former president turned a blind eye of the issue. So
• 16:50
Speaker 4: you were literally like our government was giving out the
• 16:53
Speaker 4: loans and backing the loans of illegal immigrants. Now in California,
• 17:00
Speaker 4: right sanctuary state. New York a sanctuary state as well, immigrants,
• 17:04
Speaker 4: they now say this report of accountant for one hundred
• 17:07
Speaker 4: percent of all rental growth and over one half of
• 17:12
Speaker 4: all growth in owner occupied housing in recent years. So
• 17:16
Speaker 4: if you're trying to find affordable housing in California or
• 17:18
Speaker 4: New York as a state, good luck, because immigrants have
• 17:22
Speaker 4: accounting for one hundred percent of all rental growth and
• 17:25
Speaker 4: over one half of all growth in the owner occupied
• 17:28
Speaker 4: housing in recent years. Nationally, there's also a major concern
• 17:35
Speaker 4: the foreign born population now accounts for more than sixty
• 17:38
Speaker 4: percent of the growth in rental demand. Nationwide, the foreign
• 17:44
Speaker 4: born population accounted for two thirds of renal demand growth.
• 17:48
Speaker 4: Hudds report also says that if we don't stop this,
• 17:52
Speaker 4: they're going to have Americans that literally cannot afford to
• 17:55
Speaker 4: live in America, is what the synopsis is. Because there
• 17:59
Speaker 4: is such a competitive marketplace for renal properties, and you
• 18:04
Speaker 4: can't afford to buy a home, so what is your option.
• 18:08
Speaker 4: That's something that every American should be thinking about, and
• 18:11
Speaker 4: it's exactly why, by the way, the President of the
• 18:14
Speaker 4: United States America is taking this subject on saying we
• 18:18
Speaker 4: have to stop it now.
