- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listenings KFI AM six forty the Bill Handles show
- 0:04Speaker 1: on demand on the iHeartRadio apps. And that story about
- 0:13Speaker 1: Lou Holtz. You went past it too quickly because I
- 0:15Speaker 1: had such a great line. He died at eighty nine.
- 0:18Speaker 1: When he was in the funeral home and they were
- 0:21Speaker 1: basically put him in the just put him in the coffin.
- 0:24Speaker 1: His family asked the mortician to put his game face on. See,
- 0:31Speaker 1: that was probably not worth it because they do makeup.
- 0:34Speaker 1: You know that, don't you on people? Okay, I'm glad
- 0:37Speaker 1: we went back to that. By the way, we got
- 0:38Speaker 1: it to no, I understand you got it? Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Do you love when people explain bad jokes?
- 0:44Speaker 3: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:49Speaker 3: Bill Handle.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody, Footy Friday, ask candle anything Friday. It's
- 0:56Speaker 1: a March six and we have Oh, just after we
- 1:00Speaker 1: got off the air, all the news exploded yesterday. Damn.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It drives me nuts when the news happens afterwards, you know,
- 1:10Speaker 1: hold off on the assassinations, you know, hold off on
- 1:13Speaker 1: people dying that are in the news. Let's let's do
- 1:17Speaker 1: it during the course of our morning show. Usually stuff
- 1:20Speaker 1: does happen during our morning show, because you know, we
- 1:24Speaker 1: start at six, which means it's nine o'clock over there
- 1:26Speaker 1: on the East Coast, and then it's noon by the
- 1:29Speaker 1: time we get off, so usually whatever happens breaks by
- 1:32Speaker 1: and then, and unfortunately not and the christinome. Oh, I
- 1:37Speaker 1: have some fun stuff to say about Christy completely out
- 1:40Speaker 1: of her mind, but we knew that. I'm going to
- 1:42Speaker 1: share some information with you later on about that.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Boy can she make a commercial? Huh boy?
- 1:47Speaker 1: She can? Wow, she certainly can. All right, First, good morning, Hey, Neil,
- 1:55Speaker 1: good morning.
- 1:55Speaker 4: There you are Friday, sir.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, happy Friday.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Carna will ask you anything today?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. And we have phone calls out plenty, right.
- 2:02Speaker 3: No, it's gonna be crickets the whole time. Of course,
- 2:04Speaker 3: we have cook phone calls.
- 2:06Speaker 1: No, No, what I mean is, come on the implications.
- 2:10Speaker 1: We have enough quality phone calls.
- 2:13Speaker 4: So we are throwing the Q word around.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Okay, quality not in the sense of anything other than yes,
- 2:21Speaker 1: we have and entertaining capital e entertaining Okay, knoh, there
- 2:25Speaker 1: you are, yes, Amy, there you are, Hi, Bill, too happy,
- 2:30Speaker 1: too happy, and and good morning. She just waves. Good
- 2:34Speaker 1: for her. That's perfect for radio. Just wave.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I thought we were doing away with this.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, it's like you want to Jewish.
- 2:45Speaker 4: I want to do some talk back saying yeah, good.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I want to interview. I want to interview like a
- 2:50Speaker 1: Helen Keller, uh impressionist to where I ask and all
- 2:56Speaker 1: you do is get some sign language and this that's
- 2:59Speaker 1: perfect radio.
- 3:00Speaker 5: You know.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So how often do you.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Work every day?
- 3:06Speaker 5: No, it's kind of like when you leave to heat
- 3:08Speaker 5: up your forritata. Yeah, and you're not around. Oh yeah,
- 3:13Speaker 5: the show moves forward precisely. Okay, we're all here and
- 3:18Speaker 5: we're all there. Okay.
- 3:21Speaker 1: As I said, some big stuff going on yesterday, not
- 3:25Speaker 1: a surprise, but just fun stuff that happened, particularly Christy Noome,
- 3:31Speaker 1: and we'll cover that at seven o'clock. A story about
- 3:35Speaker 1: sea level which isn't really sea level, the kind of
- 3:38Speaker 1: sea level that you expect to understand, and then where
- 3:44Speaker 1: the anti vaccine sentiment is going. I had to go there.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It just had to go there, and that is great fun. Okay,
- 3:53Speaker 1: let's do it, guys. It's time for a handle on
- 3:55Speaker 1: the news on this Friday morning with Amy Neil and
- 4:00Speaker 1: me lead story. As much as I love talking about
- 4:06Speaker 1: the Christine Nomes story, which will be next. A far
- 4:09Speaker 1: more important story, of course, is what's happening in the
- 4:12Speaker 1: war in Iran in the Middle East. Here is what
- 4:18Speaker 1: is going on, just really quick headlines. The US and
- 4:21Speaker 1: Israel are intensifying its attacks, going much stronger, as Pete
- 4:26Speaker 1: Heseth and the President said, you ain't seen nothing yet.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And Iran's ability to fire back or to fire their
- 4:35Speaker 1: offensive weapons have been degraded, decreased dramatically, and the number
- 4:40Speaker 1: of missiles that have been launched have been decreased, and
- 4:43Speaker 1: drones have been decreased ninety eighty five percent. That sort
- 4:47Speaker 1: of thing. Europe is being drawn in. At first, Europe
- 4:52Speaker 1: said we have nothing to do with it, because the
- 4:54Speaker 1: United States invaded Iran with Israel, and Europe is not
- 5:00Speaker 1: thrilled with that relationship. But as Iran stupidly is attacking
- 5:08Speaker 1: its Mid East neighbors, Europe, who heretofore Britain, for example, Cyprus,
- 5:14Speaker 1: who would not let the United States and Israel, particularly
- 5:19Speaker 1: the United States use their countries as bases, are now
- 5:22Speaker 1: saying you bet use them all you want at this point,
- 5:25Speaker 1: simply for defensive purposes. We'll see what happens. NATO is
- 5:30Speaker 1: gearing up. Oh Man, is Iran actually going to attack
- 5:34Speaker 1: a NATO country. They can't be that stupid. Maybe it can,
- 5:39Speaker 1: maybe the Iranians can. So far, they're being that stupid.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I mean, they're attacking Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the
- 5:47Speaker 1: foreign minister, the Iranian foreign minister was asked about that.
- 5:51Speaker 1: He goes, We're not attacking any of our neighbors. This
- 5:54Speaker 1: is all collateral damage. And Tom Yamas, NBC News anchor
- 5:59Speaker 1: who did the interview, said, but you're attacking airports and
- 6:04Speaker 1: you're attacking oil refineries in these countries.
- 6:08Speaker 4: That's not true. We deny it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: The win here if he run survives and I'm talking
- 6:18Speaker 1: about the Revolutionary Guard and the current regime, if it survives,
- 6:23Speaker 1: that will be declared a win. They will the whole
- 6:27Speaker 1: country will at gunpoint go out and scream, we've won,
- 6:31Speaker 1: We've won, We've overcome the Satan Americans because he's yeah,
- 6:40Speaker 1: Hamas considers it a win that they're still there. That's
- 6:43Speaker 1: a win to these folks. And so we'll see if
- 6:48Speaker 1: regime changes on its mind. Oh and the president has
- 6:52Speaker 1: now said that he wants to be involved in choosing
- 6:56Speaker 1: the next leader of Iran because he wants to add
- 6:59Speaker 1: Shaw to his titles, his various titles, because he was
- 7:02Speaker 1: missing that one. Okay, sew Trump, yeah over there in Iran. No,
- 7:11Speaker 1: he's gonna help choose the uh, the next leader. And
- 7:16Speaker 1: it was from the people are going to choose to
- 7:19Speaker 1: I'm going to be involved in choosing.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Hitting ahead, you're gonna you're gonna go through all the
- 7:24Speaker 3: Trump stories in the news.
- 7:25Speaker 1: No, there aren't too many. No, there aren't too many
- 7:28Speaker 1: of them. There's only one, and that's h and that's
- 7:31Speaker 1: not really anti Trump's a matter of facts. Pro Trump
- 7:34Speaker 1: is the one with christinoam because the only complaint, the
- 7:39Speaker 1: only criticism I have of Donald Trump is he didn't
- 7:42Speaker 1: act quickly enough. But he acted and decisively and it
- 7:46Speaker 1: was man, it was right there. I mean, there was
- 7:49Speaker 1: no issue as to how he acted in fiery her.
- 7:52Speaker 1: But let's move on because we have plenty more.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Well, let's just skip number two because we just talked
- 7:58Speaker 2: about it.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Well, then we're gonna have to skip number three because
- 8:02Speaker 4: he just talked about that.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Okay, okay, so four okay, wow, No, then we did
- 8:08Speaker 6: number four to because.
- 8:12Speaker 1: But I'm giving reviews. Okay, four, number five I got
- 8:16Speaker 1: this skip number six seven. No, okay, we're done with
- 8:21Speaker 1: handle on the news right here on KFI. Thanks listening, everybody.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Well, thank god Trump has nothing to do with the
- 8:28Speaker 3: gangs in la uh oh cash btel hold Off. Federal
- 8:34Speaker 3: authorities very excited about this. They say several members and
- 8:40Speaker 3: associates of the eighteenth Street Gang here in Los Angeles,
- 8:44Speaker 3: if you're not familiar, is a massive gang and it
- 8:47Speaker 3: is incredibly widespread throughout Los Angeles and they infest a.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Lot of MacArthur Park.
- 8:56Speaker 3: So they did a coordinated takedown with Los Angeles Field Office, FBI, FED,
- 9:03Speaker 3: other federal local agencies, Homeland Security Investigations, Drug Enforcement Agency,
- 9:09Speaker 3: everyone came together and took down a massive chunk of
- 9:13Speaker 3: this gang. But they haven't told us how many, are
- 9:16Speaker 3: given us any details, what specific charges or anything. But
- 9:21Speaker 3: let's hope they start doing this more and more. It
- 9:25Speaker 3: is a crap hole. I don't live far from MacArthur Park.
- 9:28Speaker 3: It is a crap hole, so hopefully.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And there is some controversy because they were supposed to
- 9:36Speaker 1: go after the nineteenth Street Gang and it was the
- 9:40Speaker 1: address right, Yeah, I'm mistaken identity. Yes, they got the
- 9:44Speaker 1: wrong people. And as you talk about the takedown. What
- 9:48Speaker 1: we don't hear very often is you talk about federal
- 9:52Speaker 1: authorities with local authorities these gang takedowns or any kind
- 9:58Speaker 1: of a gang, whether it a gang banger, these these
- 10:03Speaker 1: gangs were various groups of shall molestors, whatever. It's the
- 10:09Speaker 1: the amount of resources that it takes. It's years in.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Surveillance crime.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. It's a long time to do the
- 10:21Speaker 1: just do to do the intelligence and to understand what's
- 10:25Speaker 1: going on. And it's a bit. It's it costs a fortune.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That's not to say that it's not appropriate. All I'm
- 10:31Speaker 1: saying is you take down let's say they took down
- 10:33Speaker 1: sixty members or thirty members. That's probably hundreds of millions
- 10:37Speaker 1: of dollars agents being pulled just just to surveyll one
- 10:41Speaker 1: or two of these gang members. It's a very big deal.
- 10:44Speaker 1: By the way, I'm not saying anything negative about it.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I'm just throwing in this is what it costs to
- 10:50Speaker 1: do that. And those Nineteenth Street gang members are really happy,
- 10:54Speaker 1: now let me tell you, okay.
- 10:57Speaker 6: Impeaching PAM. Representative Shri Thanadar from Michigan has filed articles
- 11:05Speaker 6: of impeachment against Attorney General Pam Bondy over how she
- 11:09Speaker 6: handled the Epstein files. He said Bondy is illegally withholding
- 11:13Speaker 6: millions of Epstein files after Congress passed that law requiring
- 11:17Speaker 6: the Department of Justice to release all of its documents
- 11:19Speaker 6: related to Jeffrey Epstein.
- 11:23Speaker 1: This is a monumental waste of time. Why people do this,
- 11:27Speaker 1: Why you have representatives that do this. It's going to
- 11:30Speaker 1: go no place. It doesn't have a chance of going
- 11:34Speaker 1: any place. And yet the spinning occurs. And if there
- 11:38Speaker 1: are going to be some hearings on this, which I
- 11:40Speaker 1: can't imagine that the speaker, Michael Johnson would let this
- 11:48Speaker 1: ever go into hearings or on the floor, it's it's
- 11:52Speaker 1: just a statement. So make the statement.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Just go on the floor and make a statement. Okay,
- 11:56Speaker 4: everybody does.
- 11:57Speaker 1: That's it, and it's.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Say hey, we hate them.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Look at some point there's Here's what ends up happening, unfortunately,
- 12:04Speaker 1: is all of these public pronouncements and hearings are exactly
- 12:08Speaker 1: as you say, they are theater, which means that they
- 12:13Speaker 1: get lost or the real stuff gets lost somehow in
- 12:17Speaker 1: the fray. You know what, just do your job, take
- 12:19Speaker 1: take your job seriously, and don't come up with stuff.
- 12:23Speaker 1: You know, whether she deserves it or not. I have
- 12:24Speaker 1: absolutely no idea, but there is. If there's zero chance,
- 12:30Speaker 1: zero chance, why do you spend the time of our
- 12:34Speaker 1: with our tax payer dollars.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I will throw one other little thing in there. Though
- 12:38Speaker 3: Christin Nom did such a poor job with her answers,
- 12:42Speaker 3: I think they played a partner firing. So maybe it
- 12:45Speaker 3: does do a little something well in her case.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yes, but there aren't too many cabinet secretaries that are
- 12:51Speaker 1: as sleazy and as dumb as Christinome is and as cheesy.
- 12:56Speaker 4: That play panned out as one. Okay, so that's what.
- 13:00Speaker 1: So therefore that justifies all of this. I say no,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I think it's a monumental waste of time. Let's get
- 13:07Speaker 1: to business. Even the impeachment of Bill Clinton, which I
- 13:12Speaker 1: thought was just a waste of time. Not that he
- 13:14Speaker 1: didn't perjure himself, of course he did. He under the
- 13:16Speaker 1: penalty of perjury. He did lie, and that criminal acts,
- 13:20Speaker 1: no question about it. I think he was either disbarred
- 13:23Speaker 1: or he resigned from the bar, and even then there
- 13:28Speaker 1: was no chance he was impeached, just like President Trump
- 13:32Speaker 1: has been impeached twice. Zero chance of any kind of conviction.
- 13:38Speaker 1: So I'm just throwing that out. Although with the president
- 13:42Speaker 1: with Bill Clinton, that had a little bit more political
- 13:46Speaker 1: import that'll go for because that is a very, very
- 13:50Speaker 1: big deal when he said I did not have sex
- 13:52Speaker 1: with that woman and established a whole new criteria of
- 13:57Speaker 1: definition of sex, and that is oral. Sex is being
- 14:01Speaker 1: performed on anybody on any mail and throws up his
- 14:06Speaker 1: hands in the air. That is not sex. Okay, if
- 14:11Speaker 1: you're not grabbing, never mind, Okay, let's just move on,
- 14:16Speaker 1: all right.
- 14:17Speaker 3: And this is unfortunate in so many ways. Not only
- 14:20Speaker 3: did a Capitol rioter who was pardon in those big
- 14:25Speaker 3: pardons that Trump did get out, it turns out this
- 14:30Speaker 3: Florida handyman, which is also unfortunate in this case, was
- 14:34Speaker 3: sentenced on Thursday to life in prison in prison for
- 14:38Speaker 3: molesting two children, and so he was one of the
- 14:42Speaker 3: ones that stormed the Capitol was pardoned by President Trump.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Turns out this dirt bag deserved to stay in prison forever.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yeah, And the fact that he was part of the
- 14:53Speaker 1: J six crowd is simply a news item. I mean,
- 14:56Speaker 1: obviously the sure but that does well. The pardoning is
- 15:00Speaker 1: another issue that I think that is probably the most
- 15:02Speaker 1: offensive thing that President Trump has done, certainly in my opinion,
- 15:06Speaker 1: where the overrunning of the capital of the United States
- 15:09Speaker 1: to try to undo an election and calling those people
- 15:13Speaker 1: that are trying to undo an election and overran the
- 15:16Speaker 1: capitol as patriots and peaceful demonstrators and therefore pardon that,
- 15:21Speaker 1: in my opinion, was at this point the most offensive
- 15:24Speaker 1: thing the president has done.
- 15:25Speaker 4: I agree with you.
- 15:26Speaker 3: I think that is such a such a massive black
- 15:29Speaker 3: eye on America that hold January sixth thing, and anybody
- 15:33Speaker 3: that defends breaching those walls in any way, shape or
- 15:37Speaker 3: form disgust me.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Even though even those quote peaceful demonstrators that took stansions
- 15:46Speaker 1: and took flag poles and beat up police officers, they
- 15:52Speaker 1: are patriots and they were peaceful demonstrators as they were
- 15:56Speaker 1: beating up police officers. Yeah, anyway, So anyway, no surprise.
- 16:02Speaker 1: You would think that among those people, the Jay six
- 16:05Speaker 1: defendants no longer defendants the day the j six patriots,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you would think there'd be some bad, bad guys in there,
- 16:13Speaker 1: and there are.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I wonder if any of them were wearing Blue Life
- 16:17Speaker 3: Matter flags while they were beating the cops.
- 16:20Speaker 1: They were, certainly, yes, I'm sure there were all right
- 16:24Speaker 1: before Amy picks up her story. This just in about
- 16:28Speaker 1: the US jobs market. Labor Department just reported that employers
- 16:34Speaker 1: cut ninety two thousand jobs in February, and economists had
- 16:38Speaker 1: predicted the US would continue adding jobs. It went the
- 16:41Speaker 1: other way, and the games for December and January were
- 16:45Speaker 1: also devised downward. Happens quite often because more information comes
- 16:49Speaker 1: in and the revisions go up or down. So it's
- 16:52Speaker 1: going down. So that does not job does not do
- 16:57Speaker 1: well for our economy. Is it a make or break?
- 17:01Speaker 5: No?
- 17:01Speaker 1: But the stock market again is what Amy, you just
- 17:04Speaker 1: reported is down? How much? Down?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Eight fifty down, eighty seventy four right now?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, well, of course, because it what's going on in
- 17:13Speaker 1: the Middle East, you would expect that to happen. And
- 17:15Speaker 1: so we'll see how this thing pans out.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Okay, moving on.
- 17:20Speaker 6: Could the partial government shut down shutdown World Cup Soccer?
- 17:25Speaker 6: Seven FIFA World Cup games that are set to be
- 17:28Speaker 6: played at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts are in question
- 17:34Speaker 6: because of a delay in federal funding. The town Foxborough
- 17:39Speaker 6: is worried that it might be stuck paying millions of
- 17:41Speaker 6: dollars in security costs. Why because the more than six
- 17:45Speaker 6: hundred million dollars set aside in federal grant money in
- 17:48Speaker 6: last year's One Big Beautiful Bill to assist the cities
- 17:51Speaker 6: hoping hosting World Cup are Well, they're frozen. They're supposed
- 17:56Speaker 6: to be distributed by the end of January, but FEMA
- 17:59Speaker 6: said that it was in the final stages of awarding
- 18:03Speaker 6: those grants when it's funding lapsed.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Last Yeah, there's the Department of Homeland Security is in
- 18:09Speaker 1: control of FEMA, and since Christynam has been tanks, she's
- 18:15Speaker 1: been fired as the Secretary of the Department of.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Security.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Sorry, yeah, Homeland Security. Sorry about that for a moment,
- 18:26Speaker 1: and she no longer has her tickets. She's quoted as saying,
- 18:29Speaker 1: if I'm not going, no one's going.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Already. Let's dig up some bodies. US is looking to
- 18:41Speaker 3: exoom and identify. I didn't even know this. Actually the
- 18:47Speaker 3: remains of eighty eight Pearl Harbor buried unknowns. I didn't
- 18:54Speaker 3: know we had that many unknowns these, Oh.
- 18:56Speaker 1: We have unknown World War two, unknowns from World War One.
- 19:01Speaker 1: We have lots and lots of unknowns. Also, you've got
- 19:04Speaker 1: I think the Korean War. There may be an unknown
- 19:09Speaker 1: or they just discovered through DNA that they connected as
- 19:14Speaker 1: to who he was, certainly from the Vietnam or no
- 19:17Speaker 1: unknowns in any war thereafter.
- 19:18Speaker 3: But the the USS Arizona was bombed, you would know
- 19:25Speaker 3: everyone who's on the ship, right.
- 19:28Speaker 1: You would, But again you don't know who or what
- 19:32Speaker 1: maybe presumed maybe presumed dead, but you don't know who
- 19:34Speaker 1: it is. So this is very solemn. I mean the
- 19:38Speaker 1: Arizona itself, I know, if you've ever been, there is
- 19:40Speaker 1: an extraordinary site because as you go there and then
- 19:43Speaker 1: the ship is right there, thirty feet under the water.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I mean you can you know the oil is still
- 19:47Speaker 1: bubbling up, and it's a very solemn moment. It is
- 19:50Speaker 1: because you realize nine hundred men are entombed in that
- 19:56Speaker 1: ship because the attack on Pearl Harbor.
- 20:01Speaker 6: Okay, Savannah says she's coming back. So Savannah Guthrie is
- 20:06Speaker 6: the host of the Today Show. Says she plans to
- 20:09Speaker 6: return as the anchor of the show, but hasn't said when.
- 20:13Speaker 6: Of course, she's been off since her mother disappeared more
- 20:17Speaker 6: than a month ago from her home in Arizona. NBC
- 20:21Speaker 6: said that Savannah stopped by the Today Show set yesterday
- 20:25Speaker 6: said hi to everybody. She didn't go on camera or anything.
- 20:28Speaker 6: But she went by and said, yep, I will eventually
- 20:31Speaker 6: come back.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Can you imagine what the rating is going to be
- 20:33Speaker 1: when she does come back that first day, and what
- 20:37Speaker 1: a moment that's going to be, just the emotion of
- 20:41Speaker 1: her walking on the set for the Today Show. It's
- 20:44Speaker 1: going to be an extraordinary moment. There's no question about it.
- 20:46Speaker 3: All of It's crazy to me, the fact that you
- 20:49Speaker 3: know it's not closed, there's zero closure on it at
- 20:52Speaker 3: this point, but you have to go back to work.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I mean, you're of course, you know, of course, but
- 20:58Speaker 1: she is such a public figure and we have been
- 21:02Speaker 1: living her grief to a much smaller extent obviously, but
- 21:06Speaker 1: she has been in the news for so long. I
- 21:10Speaker 1: generally watch ABC News, that's my go to in terms
- 21:12Speaker 1: of network news, and David Muir whenever reporting on the
- 21:18Speaker 1: the the capture or excuse me, the kidnap of Nancy Guthrie,
- 21:24Speaker 1: talks about our friend Savannah over at NBC on the
- 21:30Speaker 1: Today Show, and so it's it's that big a story
- 21:33Speaker 1: across the news outlets and of course throughout the United States.
- 21:38Speaker 1: So she's gonna return, which she should, I mean, she
- 21:40Speaker 1: has to anyway, and not just for the money part.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I'm assuming she doesn't have to worry about money because
- 21:44Speaker 1: she gets paid millions and millions of dollars a year.
- 21:47Speaker 1: But just as you said, Neil, you have to return
- 21:49Speaker 1: to work. I mean you have no choice, just for
- 21:52Speaker 1: your your own mental health.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Yeah, then there's the day. It's open ended and I
- 21:58Speaker 4: don't know.
- 21:59Speaker 1: And unfortunately, as I said this almost from the beginning,
- 22:01Speaker 1: I think someone is going to stumble, and at some
- 22:09Speaker 1: point hiker is going to stumble across Nancy. Nancy got three.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I think that's what's going to happen. I think because
- 22:18Speaker 1: it's out in the desert, I think her remains, which
- 22:21Speaker 1: I do believe are out there, are very very difficult
- 22:24Speaker 1: to find and maybe never You're right, I mean, there
- 22:27Speaker 1: may never be closure. And closure is a really important
- 22:32Speaker 1: thing for families to not know, all the hostage families
- 22:37Speaker 1: in why Israel made such a huge deal and rightly so,
- 22:40Speaker 1: as we would of bodies remaining hostages is horrific. All right,
- 22:46Speaker 1: let's do one more and then we will go ahead
- 22:49Speaker 1: and take a break.
- 22:51Speaker 3: The anti vaxxers have hit the vets. You have veterinarians
- 22:55Speaker 3: saying that they're seeing a drop off in vaccinations for
- 22:59Speaker 3: their pet owners, and that many of them are now.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Skeptical of shots.
- 23:05Speaker 3: A lot of veterinarians are looking at this as a
- 23:09Speaker 3: major concern because not only are you protecting animals, but
- 23:14Speaker 3: you can protect humans as well. As some of these
- 23:17Speaker 3: things could be passed. These diseases can be passed to humans. Yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 3: that's kind of curiosity.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Yeah. One of the big diseases that are passed to
- 23:25Speaker 1: humans from animals is stupid, just stupid. That's a disease
- 23:31Speaker 1: that can be passed, so you have to vaccinate against.
- 23:33Speaker 1: And the big one is the non vaccinated pets. Well,
- 23:39Speaker 1: if they're vaccinated, they get autism. And I don't know
- 23:42Speaker 1: if you've ever seen an autistic dog, but it's really
- 23:47Speaker 1: interesting to see they won't look at you, they look down,
- 23:51Speaker 1: they mumble, you know, they're barking. Is very mumbly fascinating
- 23:55Speaker 1: to see those dogs.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Wow than that, Thanks for that little trip. Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just gotten so ridiculous. It's become insane. But well,
- 24:05Speaker 1: welcome to the new world.
- 24:07Speaker 6: This might be small by our standards, but for Louisiana.
- 24:11Speaker 6: An earthquake hit northwestern Louisiana, waking people up from their sleep,
- 24:17Speaker 6: shaking furniture, rattling pipes, and raising eyebrows. Due to its strength,
- 24:22Speaker 6: the US Geological Survey said it was a magnitude four
- 24:26Speaker 6: point nine. It was about fifty miles from Shreveport. Republican
- 24:30Speaker 6: Stay Senator Thomas Presley, who's from Shreveport, said, well, my
- 24:35Speaker 6: wife's slept right through it, because she's from California.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it's what happens. You sleep right through them. Four
- 24:40Speaker 1: point nine. That's not even worse worth mentioning here?
- 24:45Speaker 2: Four point nine. Yeah, I don't give you some decent shaking.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean that would be reported. At what
- 24:52Speaker 1: point do you not report? Amy, you're the one that
- 24:53Speaker 1: reports is where is the cutoff? Under three designation?
- 24:58Speaker 2: We don't mention them? Yeah. I just really don't feel.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Except trucks rumbling past the station, which you can actually feel.
- 25:07Speaker 1: That's greater than a four, isn't it.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I haven't checked my side.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I would love to do it. I'll bet you. I'll
- 25:15Speaker 1: bet you.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Okay, what a lineup at Reverend Jesse Jackson's funeral. I
- 25:22Speaker 3: believe it's today. You have former President Bill Clinton, you
- 25:27Speaker 3: have Barack Obama. Joe Biden will be among the speakers.
- 25:32Speaker 3: This is all for the public celebration of life late
- 25:36Speaker 3: Reverend Jesse Jackson today at the House of Hope on
- 25:39Speaker 3: the far South side of Chicago.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of people, I mean a lot of people,
- 25:46Speaker 1: and you've got some performers high end. Stevie Wonder is
- 25:51Speaker 1: going to be performing. They're thinking of exooming the Beatles
- 25:56Speaker 1: since two of them are dead also, but decided that
- 25:59Speaker 1: that work. Is that too soon? By the way, not
- 26:02Speaker 1: only is it not funny, is it also too soon?
- 26:07Speaker 3: I really honest, I didn't get past it not being funny,
- 26:11Speaker 3: so I didn't get to the point where I was
- 26:13Speaker 3: concerned about it being too soon.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Okay, let me explain that to you. Okay, you got
- 26:18Speaker 1: half of the Beatles that are dead already, and okay,
- 26:22Speaker 1: let's move on.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Lebron is not done being great. Lebron James is king
- 26:29Speaker 6: of another NBA record. It was once held by Lakers
- 26:32Speaker 6: legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar until last night.
- 26:37Speaker 2: The game against the Denver Nuggets. He needed to make
- 26:40Speaker 2: three Kno, they call him field goals. I thought it
- 26:44Speaker 2: was a basket.
- 26:46Speaker 1: In this story, point is not that? Just a point they
- 26:48Speaker 1: have to make.
- 26:49Speaker 7: The other called field goals like the two points. Okay,
- 26:52Speaker 7: point is an individual. A field goal is like a
- 26:53Speaker 7: shot from the well. Anyway, that's what they call him
- 26:55Speaker 7: basket these days. I guess they always have. I just
- 26:58Speaker 7: I guess I don't pay that close of attention.
- 27:00Speaker 6: Way, he needed three field goals to pass Kareem Abdul
- 27:04Speaker 6: Jabbar for the most made in league history, and he
- 27:08Speaker 6: set that new mark with a fade away jumper near
- 27:11Speaker 6: the Lakers bench with eleven point eight seconds left in
- 27:13Speaker 6: the first quarter. So he made fifteen thousand, eight hundred
- 27:18Speaker 6: and thirty eight baskets.
- 27:21Speaker 1: By Kno, I'm gonna I'm now going to shock you
- 27:25Speaker 1: with my vast knowledge of basketball and a factoid. The
- 27:29Speaker 1: only player in NBA history to ever score one hundred
- 27:35Speaker 1: points in one game was Wilt Chamberlain. Do I have
- 27:39Speaker 1: that right?
- 27:40Speaker 4: It's correct? Wow?
- 27:42Speaker 3: He also he also with lots of ladies over one thousand,
- 27:49Speaker 3: he said, I think I thought.
- 27:51Speaker 2: It was ten thousand.
- 27:52Speaker 7: Maybe it was at thousand, ten thousand. It was totally
- 27:55Speaker 7: believable too, ten thousand.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Over the years. I mean, he was around for a
- 27:59Speaker 1: long long time, Good old Wilt.
- 28:01Speaker 4: I haven't even been to Disneyland that many times.
- 28:04Speaker 1: That's where he got his name Wilt, because after his
- 28:08Speaker 1: fourth thousandth one he became known as Wilt.
- 28:13Speaker 4: That's gross, No, it's not okay, Well, all right, all right.
- 28:21Speaker 3: So you know with AI making leaps and bounds every
- 28:26Speaker 3: it seems every six months.
- 28:29Speaker 4: You know, Ben Affleck was on.
- 28:31Speaker 3: The cusp of this. In twenty twenty two, he started
- 28:36Speaker 3: a film AI film production company. Quietly, not a lot
- 28:40Speaker 3: of people talked about it. It was called Interpositive. And
- 28:44Speaker 3: you know what, Netflix bought the startup. And can you
- 28:50Speaker 3: imagine how much people are talking about it because they're.
- 28:53Speaker 1: They bought it. Can you imagine how much money? And
- 28:55Speaker 1: we don't know the figure that Netflix paid for his
- 28:59Speaker 1: film production company, his AI film production company. I would
- 29:05Speaker 1: guess it's north of one hundred million dollars, just a
- 29:09Speaker 1: wild guess.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Well, they got a lot of extra money. Now then
- 29:12Speaker 2: they're not buying Warner Brothers.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Yeah, that's sure, the shopping mode.
- 29:17Speaker 1: They do have a lot of extra money. All right, guys,
- 29:19Speaker 1: we are done with the news. Coming up fun story
- 29:25Speaker 1: and that's regarding the President removing Department Health Services Secretary. No,
- 29:31Speaker 1: Department of Homeland Security, I'm sorry, Apartment of Homeland Security,
- 29:35Speaker 1: Christy Nome, Secretary. Yeah, it's hard to disagree with the
- 29:39Speaker 1: President on this one, really hard. And so we'll be
- 29:43Speaker 1: back with that because there's some fun stuff here I
- 29:45Speaker 1: want to share with you. This is KFI AM six forty.
- 29:50Speaker 1: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show. Catch my
- 29:52Speaker 1: show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am, and
