- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome to the Almost Nice Podcast. Today we
- 0:10Speaker 2: have Sidney Warner on the podcast. You guys may remember
- 0:15Speaker 2: her from Highlot Pede season when she was Sidney high
- 0:20Speaker 2: Tower and now she's married to an NFL star, Fred Warner. Welcome, Sydney. Hello,
- 0:26Speaker 2: sed Dunning creature. I was gonna put makeup on for
- 0:29Speaker 2: you today. I was like, I can't be on Zoom
- 0:33Speaker 2: with Sydney, who's like a girl crash of mine, and
- 0:36Speaker 2: not look decent. And then I just got lazy and
- 0:40Speaker 2: I was like, I'm taking nap time to just sit
- 0:43Speaker 2: on the couch and watch a crime documentary.
- 0:46Speaker 3: How are you?
- 0:47Speaker 2: After my ramble about how beautiful and wonderful you are,
- 0:50Speaker 2: You're so nice.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Seriously that means a lot, especially right now, and you
- 0:54Speaker 4: look stunning.
- 0:54Speaker 3: So I'm ready.
- 0:56Speaker 4: I had so much stuff to do later, but I
- 0:59Speaker 4: am so good. I feel like I haven't talked to
- 1:02Speaker 4: you or.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Seen you in so long.
- 1:03Speaker 4: And I remember, like when you were pregnant that I
- 1:06Speaker 4: would like always I wasn't pregnant, but I was just
- 1:08Speaker 4: talking to you about it because I like lived through
- 1:10Speaker 4: your experience.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Yes, I remember that. Yeah, but I'm good. I'm doing great.
- 1:14Speaker 5: Everything's really good over here.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay, So how many months pregnant are you right now?
- 1:20Speaker 5: So I'm my sixth month. I am twenty four weeks.
- 1:23Speaker 3: All right, how are you feeling. How's the entire thing been?
- 1:26Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, So I'm feeling totally good.
- 1:29Speaker 4: I mean everything starting off, pregnancy is like than the
- 1:34Speaker 4: number one scariest thing to me.
- 1:36Speaker 5: I've never been more scared of anything in my life
- 1:38Speaker 5: than pregnant. That was me.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Okay, I was terrified and then it was as awful
- 1:43Speaker 3: as I thought it was.
- 1:43Speaker 2: But I was particularly scared about birth, Like that was
- 1:46Speaker 2: my number one fear. And everybody has a different story
- 1:50Speaker 2: and experience, but like, my my encouragement to you is
- 1:54Speaker 2: that it's that's not as scary as you think it's
- 1:57Speaker 2: going to be.
- 1:57Speaker 4: And that's honestly, I'm more scared. I was more scared
- 2:00Speaker 4: about pregnancy, and then I'm just kind of like the
- 2:03Speaker 4: mindset of like what goes in must come out, So
- 2:06Speaker 4: I was like, what it is, Yeah, the birth part,
- 2:09Speaker 4: So just pregnancy is what I was most scared of.
- 2:12Speaker 4: So finally me and my husband like talked about it.
- 2:14Speaker 4: He wanted to get pregnant way before I did, but
- 2:16Speaker 4: I finally was like, Okay, I feel.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Like it's time.
- 2:19Speaker 4: So we decided to do it, and ever since then,
- 2:22Speaker 4: I've had the best experience. I mean, I was scared
- 2:26Speaker 4: about my skin because we had talked before, like our
- 2:29Speaker 4: lackdown from before, and I was like so scared because
- 2:33Speaker 4: I had to get off of it before we even
- 2:35Speaker 4: started trying and all of that. But fingers crossed, knock
- 2:38Speaker 4: on wood, everything has been so good and I feel
- 2:41Speaker 4: like I'm just like this weird chameleon like everything. I
- 2:44Speaker 4: work out five times a week, Like, I've had a
- 2:47Speaker 4: little bit of this thing called round ligament pain, but
- 2:50Speaker 4: kind of normal with everyone, so I haven't. My skin's
- 2:54Speaker 4: been primarily totally fine. So I've really just been extremely blessed.
- 2:59Speaker 4: And I'm not take this for granted because this is
- 3:01Speaker 4: probably I don't know if this is normal.
- 3:03Speaker 5: So I don't know. I'm just hoping.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I'm not in my third trimester yet, so you know,
- 3:08Speaker 4: things to get crazy, but right now, everything's okay.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah, USh, I'm really happy for you that it, like
- 3:15Speaker 2: specifically because you weren't scared. I mean, because because you
- 3:18Speaker 2: were so scared and it just turned out to be
- 3:20Speaker 2: not that scary.
- 3:21Speaker 5: I'm scared.
- 3:22Speaker 3: What were you for?
- 3:23Speaker 2: What specifically were you scared of, like if it was
- 3:26Speaker 2: not just your skin, but beyond that, So beyond that.
- 3:30Speaker 4: I think i'm really uh internally, like I work out
- 3:33Speaker 4: a lot, and I'm really I'm really like health focused
- 3:37Speaker 4: and I work a lot about just being like not.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Being able to move and being a Yeah.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Also, I don't think people some everyone's different, but the
- 3:45Speaker 4: weight in is very gradual, and for some reason, I
- 3:48Speaker 4: just thought that I was immediately going to gain all
- 3:50Speaker 4: of this weight and not recognize myself and feel crazy
- 3:54Speaker 4: and not be able to like be as mobile as
- 3:55Speaker 4: I wanted. But I think just everyone's different, but me
- 3:59Speaker 4: being able to still work out and feel like myself
- 4:02Speaker 4: has been helped me a ton. So I was just
- 4:04Speaker 4: kind of scared of just everything changing at once and
- 4:07Speaker 4: me not feeling like myself and being in pain and
- 4:10Speaker 4: throwing up and my skin going crazy and just feeling
- 4:14Speaker 4: like nuts for nine months.
- 4:16Speaker 5: But I think that.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Now I'm going through it, it's so gradual change, it's
- 4:21Speaker 4: not all at once, just for me specific, Yeah, I
- 4:24Speaker 4: was just just terrified.
- 4:26Speaker 5: I'm not a good person with change.
- 4:27Speaker 4: So I was extremely terrified of just the change of
- 4:29Speaker 4: pregnancy and all of the body craziness that comes with.
- 4:33Speaker 3: It, but also just I don't know.
- 4:36Speaker 5: I was also really.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Scared of just like my baby being like healthy and safe,
- 4:40Speaker 4: because that's something I don't really talk about much, is
- 4:42Speaker 4: like every milestone, you get all these updates, and it's
- 4:45Speaker 4: scary because you're not in control, so you never know.
- 4:47Speaker 5: But it's just a lot. I'll think all of it
- 4:50Speaker 5: was just scary, all of it.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yeah, as somebody who did have an awful pregnancy, but
- 4:57Speaker 2: I have I have encouraging words for anybody out there
- 4:59Speaker 2: in the midst of a pregnancy or thinking about going
- 5:03Speaker 2: through it. Even if you're like me, where it's nine
- 5:07Speaker 2: months of misery and you do lose yourself for nine months,
- 5:11Speaker 2: you will come back.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I was so scared that I'd be like, am I
- 5:15Speaker 2: ever like feel pretty again?
- 5:17Speaker 3: And you feel pretty before you know it.
- 5:19Speaker 4: That's so good. That's so I mean, everyone's not. It's
- 5:23Speaker 4: just so wild how you can have completely different experience.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Everyone is so different, every presence, everybody, everyone, It's just
- 5:30Speaker 4: it could be you know, you're you're miserable for nine months,
- 5:33Speaker 4: you know, like you're throwing up all the time.
- 5:36Speaker 5: I feel like, so that just sucks.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:39Speaker 2: On a personal note, lots of people ask me about
- 5:42Speaker 2: Sporona lactone right now or like all the time actually
- 5:45Speaker 2: in my DMS, because iways talking about my acting and
- 5:47Speaker 2: how that I think is like the number one band
- 5:50Speaker 2: aid for it I have. I've been off of it
- 5:55Speaker 2: for four months now, and I've been very pleasantly surprised
- 5:58Speaker 2: that I also haven't broken out from the withdrawal. Yeah,
- 6:01Speaker 2: so just like you and not celebrating some clear skin.
- 6:04Speaker 3: I think it's something.
- 6:06Speaker 5: It's something to give herselfs some classic and the Lord's drug.
- 6:09Speaker 5: It really is. It's incredible, like changed the game for me.
- 6:14Speaker 4: So when I and I experienced it, I was like,
- 6:16Speaker 4: this is this is incredible And then it was so scary.
- 6:20Speaker 5: I was so scared.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I know, like, everything's good so far. I can't wait
- 6:24Speaker 4: to get back on it after the feeding. But yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 4: so far it's been fine.
- 6:29Speaker 3: But that's good.
- 6:30Speaker 5: I'm so happy that you've been cool too.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That's yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't know who knows what it is, but I'm
- 6:34Speaker 2: happy that it's clear right now. Okay, So fred Is
- 6:40Speaker 2: seems on Instagram to be like such a supportive, wonderful,
- 6:43Speaker 2: sweet soul husband. Is he as wonderful as he seems
- 6:47Speaker 2: on Instagram with your pregnancy and taking care of you
- 6:49Speaker 2: and all that.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Yeah, No, he actually is.
- 6:51Speaker 4: He's like he's this He's an incredible human being. And
- 6:56Speaker 4: even more so I get to say that because he's
- 6:57Speaker 4: my husband and he's never wanted anything more than to
- 7:00Speaker 4: be a dad and I did not experience that until I.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Never wanted to be a mom until like literally this year.
- 7:07Speaker 3: So he is like, help, yeah, we got to dive
- 7:10Speaker 3: into this.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Yeah, so he is like helps me be like happy
- 7:15Speaker 4: and excited and not scared. But he is so excited.
- 7:19Speaker 4: This is like he's never wanted anything more in his
- 7:22Speaker 4: life than to be a dad. So he is like
- 7:24Speaker 4: counting down the days. I could not have like lucked
- 7:27Speaker 4: out with the most supportive partner through this, especially being
- 7:30Speaker 4: someone that's scared of pregnancy. So I'm so lucky and
- 7:35Speaker 4: he's so excited.
- 7:36Speaker 3: So that is so so sweet.
- 7:38Speaker 2: So I always knew I wanted to be a mom,
- 7:41Speaker 2: but I never had what I would call baby fever,
- 7:45Speaker 2: Like what even when I was like thirty three and
- 7:47Speaker 2: I was like Okay, that's probably about the time that
- 7:49Speaker 2: we like because I got prignant when I was thirty three. Yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, okay, we're trying, but it's not like
- 7:55Speaker 2: like I could still deal without it for right now,
- 7:57Speaker 2: Like I love my life, Like I'm so sick scared
- 8:00Speaker 2: of this change and responsibility. So I guess I know
- 8:06Speaker 2: what you feel when you say that, like you didn't
- 8:08Speaker 2: want to be mommy.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I wanted to be a mom but like but it
- 8:13Speaker 3: was just so intimidating. So is that how you felt?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Is that what you mean?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yes?
- 8:18Speaker 4: And like I always knew I wanted a family. I
- 8:20Speaker 4: like grew up in Alabama, so like it's very like
- 8:24Speaker 4: just like get pregnant, have babies, get pregnant, have babies,
- 8:27Speaker 4: get married.
- 8:27Speaker 5: And I just kind of broke out of that cycle
- 8:29Speaker 5: a bit.
- 8:30Speaker 4: And when I put out of it, it was almost like
- 8:31Speaker 4: a rebel of like no, like I'm not going to
- 8:33Speaker 4: settle down, I'm not going to have kids. But then
- 8:36Speaker 4: I meet my husband, and of course you when you
- 8:38Speaker 4: fall in love with someone, all you want to do is,
- 8:40Speaker 4: you know, make something beautiful together. So thinking of that
- 8:44Speaker 4: in that aspect of something that's going to add to
- 8:46Speaker 4: my life and not take away and like bog me down.
- 8:49Speaker 4: You know, it's just a complete shift of mindset when
- 8:52Speaker 4: I did it the way that I think I was
- 8:54Speaker 4: supposed to do it, because before then I was just like,
- 8:57Speaker 4: oh my gosh, like I just don't want to have kids,
- 9:00Speaker 4: to have kids and to settle down just because it's
- 9:02Speaker 4: what you're supposed to do. But when I finally found
- 9:04Speaker 4: that that's what I that's the trajectory by how my
- 9:06Speaker 4: life was going, and it this is what was making
- 9:08Speaker 4: me happy and just the.
- 9:10Speaker 5: Thought of making something with him, and it's just now
- 9:12Speaker 5: it like.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Brings tears in my eyes, Like I I am so
- 9:16Speaker 4: excited to be a mom and like have a baby
- 9:19Speaker 4: and a best friend and like someone just like it's
- 9:22Speaker 4: just like incredible. But what you know, also what my
- 9:24Speaker 4: body's doing right now is just incredible. So it's just
- 9:27Speaker 4: funny how you go from one mindset and then as
- 9:30Speaker 4: soon as you soon as I decided like okay, no,
- 9:32Speaker 4: like I'm ready, like I want to do this complete
- 9:35Speaker 4: complete shift of your mindset, so you know, yeah, and
- 9:39Speaker 4: also just not like change like I'm so used to
- 9:42Speaker 4: just like getting up and doing what I want and
- 9:43Speaker 4: being so bigy. Yeah, the complete life change. You have
- 9:46Speaker 4: to be ready for that, and I take it very seriously.
- 9:48Speaker 4: I think that's why I waited.
- 9:50Speaker 5: Until I was fully ready, so that I could not
- 9:52Speaker 5: have fear and be excited and not worried.
- 9:55Speaker 3: You know, yes, yes.
- 10:08Speaker 2: What is one thing that people say to you, whether
- 10:11Speaker 2: it's a comment or a question about pregnancy or motherhood,
- 10:15Speaker 2: that just like gets under your skin.
- 10:18Speaker 3: That happened to me often for some reason.
- 10:21Speaker 4: I think whenever I talk about, like, you know, the
- 10:23Speaker 4: newborn minds, and they're just like, oh, man, get Freddie,
- 10:26Speaker 4: You're gonna oh, just like kind of like I'm just like, okay,
- 10:30Speaker 4: Like I know it's gonna be hard, but let's you know,
- 10:33Speaker 4: instead of going that route like tell me the positives
- 10:35Speaker 4: about how it's only eight weeks and like you need
- 10:37Speaker 4: to cherish these eight weeks of this your baby being
- 10:39Speaker 4: that tiny, and not so much about like you're never
- 10:42Speaker 4: gonna sleep, you're never gonna see your partner, you're never
- 10:44Speaker 4: gonna get like all these negatives. That's truly scary. And
- 10:48Speaker 4: I know I'm gonna go through those things, which is fine.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I'm I'm a realist, but also like, maybe let's not
- 10:53Speaker 4: make it as negative, and I don't know.
- 10:56Speaker 5: Just when they say that.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I'm like, I know totally, I'm totally ready for all
- 11:00Speaker 4: those hardships, but also I'm also going to be able
- 11:02Speaker 4: to be with my you know, eight week old baby,
- 11:05Speaker 4: and then after that, they're not like newborns anymore. So
- 11:08Speaker 4: I try to think of it like that, but that's
- 11:10Speaker 4: always like kind of scary when people really talking about
- 11:13Speaker 4: that born stage and how you're going to like be
- 11:15Speaker 4: a zombie.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I don't know, but let me just tell you something.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I love the newborn phase to me, And yes, I
- 11:23Speaker 2: think I was different. Like you're saying that you're pregnancy
- 11:27Speaker 2: eas easy, well I thought I think perhaps my postpartum
- 11:30Speaker 2: was easy because I realized that like, yeah, I was
- 11:34Speaker 2: sore as hell, like I couldn't like first, like are
- 11:36Speaker 2: you kidding me? For like a couple of weeks I could,
- 11:38Speaker 2: like I could not walk around the house. But I
- 11:40Speaker 2: don't remember that. I just remember how honestly, yeah, he
- 11:44Speaker 2: would wake up every couple hours, but like then you
- 11:47Speaker 2: have an easy fix. You feed them and it's like
- 11:49Speaker 2: all right now, like in the toddler years, they're freaking
- 11:53Speaker 2: out and you don't know why because they're trying to
- 11:55Speaker 2: communicate and they can't do it effectively. So I just
- 11:59Speaker 2: that the new and days were amazing because all you
- 12:01Speaker 2: got to do is like lie around and snuggle. Like,
- 12:04Speaker 2: does lying around and snugglings sound bad?
- 12:07Speaker 5: No, Like I'm excited for that.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Of course, I'm nervous because there's a whole these challenges
- 12:12Speaker 4: of breastfeeding, and that's another scarity. Yeah, will come to
- 12:14Speaker 4: me about and they're like, oh, breastfeeding and you need
- 12:17Speaker 4: to and I'm like, I know, I've heard it's really scary,
- 12:20Speaker 4: like just yeah, so I just but I know I've
- 12:24Speaker 4: totally cherished as moments of just like being alone with
- 12:27Speaker 4: your baby and just not having to really like do anything,
- 12:30Speaker 4: of being kind of just in your house with your
- 12:32Speaker 4: husband and they're not you know, so.
- 12:35Speaker 3: It's the best.
- 12:35Speaker 2: See I didn't breastfeed, which is probably why that part
- 12:39Speaker 2: was a little bit easier for me. Well yeah, so
- 12:44Speaker 2: that's that should be said. Okay, fred is going to
- 12:48Speaker 2: be in a great position of the year right when
- 12:52Speaker 2: you give birth, because the season will just be about over.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Yeah, so we will be just about over, depending on
- 12:58Speaker 4: how long we go in playoffs.
- 12:59Speaker 5: If we make it to the Super Bowl.
- 13:01Speaker 4: If we do make it to the Super Bowl, I'll
- 13:02Speaker 4: be around thirty six thirty seven weeks. Yeah, I know,
- 13:11Speaker 4: we'll see. I can't worry about things that aren't here yet.
- 13:13Speaker 4: But you know, of course that's the objective of the year,
- 13:16Speaker 4: so we'll see. I mean, I it's in Vegas, so
- 13:19Speaker 4: we live in NorCal So if we you know, I
- 13:23Speaker 4: would just drive today. Yeah, if that was happening. But
- 13:27Speaker 4: also it's just those are our challenges. We'll deal with
- 13:29Speaker 4: when we get there. But I'll definitely go into all
- 13:32Speaker 4: of the I'll try to go to all of the
- 13:34Speaker 4: playoff games if we make it there. But once the
- 13:36Speaker 4: baby is actually here, yes, it will be off season
- 13:39Speaker 4: and we'll be able to have those, like you no
- 13:42Speaker 4: fun newborn months together, which was amazing.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that could not have been That could not have
- 13:48Speaker 3: been more prevarently planned.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Yeah, and we've planned it out because we did, Okay,
- 13:52Speaker 5: we had.
- 13:52Speaker 4: We knew if we didn't get pregnant within two more
- 13:54Speaker 4: months of trying, then we would just have to stop
- 13:56Speaker 4: and just try next off season.
- 13:58Speaker 3: So do you mind me asking how long it took?
- 14:01Speaker 3: How many months were trying?
- 14:02Speaker 5: Yeah, So we started trying and we got pregnant with
- 14:06Speaker 5: them three.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Months, okay, yeah, so I just I only ask to
- 14:10Speaker 2: ask because I get DMS about from people asking me
- 14:14Speaker 2: like how long it took us, which was seven months,
- 14:17Speaker 2: and they're starting to feel discouraged around.
- 14:19Speaker 3: The three month point, and it's just like, you know, just.
- 14:23Speaker 4: It's funny because every you know, it's not it's of
- 14:26Speaker 4: course you get discouraged always like, but we started trying
- 14:30Speaker 4: and I had no I didn't expect us to get
- 14:32Speaker 4: pregnant that bath, but I did have that little ounce
- 14:35Speaker 4: of discouragement that third month, and I'm like, you're being easy, Sidney,
- 14:39Speaker 4: like it's only three months, but then that was the
- 14:41Speaker 4: month that we did get our positive.
- 14:44Speaker 5: But yeah, I can't seven.
- 14:45Speaker 3: That's it's ever.
- 14:47Speaker 4: It's so tough, and I didn't realize that until I'm
- 14:50Speaker 4: like in this new world of mothers and fertility and pregnancy,
- 14:54Speaker 4: and it's like it's it can be intense.
- 14:55Speaker 3: But I also, I'm.
- 14:57Speaker 5: Sure it has nothing to do with it. But I've
- 14:59Speaker 5: never been on birth control, so yeah, body.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't have anything to do with it. But
- 15:05Speaker 4: I was in my mind, I was telling myself that
- 15:07Speaker 4: it was a positive.
- 15:09Speaker 2: No, yeah, definitely some positive thinking I feel like always
- 15:13Speaker 2: kind of sort of helps. Soh man, I just I
- 15:18Speaker 2: follow your Instagram quite closely.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I really just enjoy everything you post. I just like
- 15:24Speaker 3: love your Like, is it weird for me to say
- 15:26Speaker 3: that I really enjoy following your wag life? No, No,
- 15:31Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Okay, everything you do is like so it's like so
- 15:36Speaker 2: pretty and so like just like just seems quite blissful.
- 15:39Speaker 2: And can you let us in on just what the
- 15:43Speaker 2: social life is with the team and all the wives
- 15:46Speaker 2: and girlfriends.
- 15:47Speaker 3: What's the wag life like at the forty nine ers.
- 15:50Speaker 4: So there's a lot of wives and girlfriends on the tea.
- 15:53Speaker 4: There's so many guys on the teams. You don't really
- 15:55Speaker 4: realize that until you're in it.
- 15:57Speaker 5: So many guys.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Olivia girlfriend, Olivia Colpo, is also a fellow she is.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Oh yeah, she's a fiance.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Wife.
- 16:07Speaker 4: And you know, it's different because there's some there's a
- 16:10Speaker 4: lot of women somewhere in the depths of their you know,
- 16:13Speaker 4: having babies and being pregnants where I'm at right now.
- 16:15Speaker 4: But before that, I was just like, you know, you know,
- 16:18Speaker 4: young and going out with that group. It's kind of
- 16:20Speaker 4: like grouped off a little bit to where a little
- 16:23Speaker 4: bit like that, who like with ever season of life
- 16:26Speaker 4: you're in, But there's so many of us. We all
- 16:29Speaker 4: have crazy schedules we do. There's so many things that
- 16:33Speaker 4: the team actually plans for us to get together and do.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Which is nice.
- 16:37Speaker 4: It's the Niners is a really like tight knit community.
- 16:40Speaker 4: There's so many teams and I talk to some girls
- 16:43Speaker 4: that are like come here from other teams and they're like,
- 16:45Speaker 4: the Niners are just so close knit. It's really big
- 16:47Speaker 4: on community and getting us all together. So it's it's
- 16:51Speaker 4: a lot of us, but it's good. Like everybody has
- 16:53Speaker 4: their own lives and everything's going on, but whenever we
- 16:56Speaker 4: do have like social things, we have parties at coach
- 16:58Speaker 4: Shanahan's house and so we all get together. So yeah,
- 17:01Speaker 4: it's yeah, we're all pretty close.
- 17:04Speaker 3: That's really nice. You have a nice building community and
- 17:06Speaker 3: supports system there. Yeah. So how did you guys meet Fred?
- 17:10Speaker 5: And I?
- 17:10Speaker 3: Yeah, so we met.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Because his family watched my season of The Bachelor.
- 17:15Speaker 2: No, because I remember, didn't you did you have a
- 17:19Speaker 2: football boyfriend before the show?
- 17:21Speaker 3: No? I didn't know.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Okay, I thought that you had an athlete boyfriend for
- 17:24Speaker 2: some reason or maybe it was just because like I
- 17:26Speaker 2: was thinking that when you got with Fred that maybe
- 17:28Speaker 2: you guys had been in touch with before the show.
- 17:31Speaker 3: But anyway, can continue.
- 17:32Speaker 4: No, Yeah, so we met because his family watched the
- 17:35Speaker 4: show and they were just watching and then he was
- 17:38Speaker 4: single and his brother like or something reached out to
- 17:41Speaker 4: him and was like, hey, there's this girl on the
- 17:42Speaker 4: show that she seems like your type.
- 17:44Speaker 3: D da da da dah. I guess physically, but you're
- 17:48Speaker 3: everyone's type physically.
- 17:51Speaker 4: He like watched a little bit of the show and
- 17:54Speaker 4: all that just that he ended up like dming me
- 17:57Speaker 4: and I was like the week where was the woman tall?
- 17:59Speaker 5: And we ended up meeting.
- 18:01Speaker 4: In Orange County because that's where the Wintell was and
- 18:04Speaker 4: then that's where he was training for his off season
- 18:06Speaker 4: football training. So we met there, had dinner, and then
- 18:09Speaker 4: that was kind of it. We just knew we wanted
- 18:11Speaker 4: to like date and get to know each other and talk,
- 18:13Speaker 4: and then it just like progressed, progress progressed, and now
- 18:16Speaker 4: we were expecting our first child.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Together, so my gosh, So it was quick like it
- 18:21Speaker 2: was right after the show when the show.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Yeah, and I had like already like signed my contract
- 18:26Speaker 4: to go to Paradise.
- 18:28Speaker 5: And I was like, you know, like of course I'm going, like.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I'm so excited, and then like COVID hit and that
- 18:33Speaker 4: he keeps the date kept getting pushed back, and then
- 18:36Speaker 4: I'm only like talking to Fred and dating him more
- 18:38Speaker 4: because I don't know if I'm going, like I don't know.
- 18:41Speaker 4: So all that to say, COVID got canceled everything. It
- 18:45Speaker 4: was all everything happened exactly the way it was supposed
- 18:47Speaker 4: to because I'm not going to go to guys when
- 18:50Speaker 4: I'm dating this guy, and it was actually serious at
- 18:51Speaker 4: that point, so that wasn't on the table. And then
- 18:54Speaker 4: after that we just like dated. I always say we
- 18:56Speaker 4: kind of dated with a purpose. We knew that we
- 18:58Speaker 4: wanted it to be serious.
- 18:59Speaker 3: We just didn't know.
- 19:00Speaker 4: How long or like how to navigate it. But we
- 19:03Speaker 4: did long distance for a while, and then we decided
- 19:06Speaker 4: to just like go full in, so we did.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Were you a football fan before, Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Because I'm from Alabama and I went to yeah, Blabama,
- 19:14Speaker 4: so like it's always been a huge.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Part of my life. So it's just funny I ended
- 19:18Speaker 5: up marrying when that played football.
- 19:21Speaker 2: It's amazing because if you weren't on the show, like
- 19:24Speaker 2: The Bachelor. You got married from the Bachelor too, because
- 19:27Speaker 2: if you weren't on, you wouldn't have connected never.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Ever ever crossed paths with him. We would have never
- 19:32Speaker 4: known each other. So I am so thankful for that
- 19:35Speaker 4: show and like doing it and meeting all the people
- 19:38Speaker 4: that I did. It was so fun and I'm just
- 19:40Speaker 4: like so thankful because I would have never met my
- 19:43Speaker 4: husband if it wasn't for The Bachelor.
- 19:44Speaker 3: So yeah, I love that.
- 19:57Speaker 2: So on your TikTok, you're sharing some NFL secrets, anything
- 20:01Speaker 2: you can tell us, Oh my gosh, anything that you
- 20:04Speaker 2: haven't put up there yet.
- 20:06Speaker 5: I feel like I've said a lot, almost too much.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Do you want to know anything?
- 20:12Speaker 5: Going over and check it out because it's all there.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Okay, Now I feel like I have a question. I
- 20:18Speaker 2: just really I need to come up with a question.
- 20:20Speaker 5: I have a question for you.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I know yours is a huge Tom Brady fan and
- 20:24Speaker 4: now retired, Like for sure, who's your husband's team.
- 20:28Speaker 2: And you're not, like it's just so sad, like it's
- 20:31Speaker 2: just not the football season is not the same whatsoever,
- 20:35Speaker 2: especially because his team, which will still you know, is
- 20:38Speaker 2: the Patriots.
- 20:39Speaker 3: They're so shy that it's like really hot.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It's been a really depressing season, letting go of calm
- 20:45Speaker 2: because there's just not much root for because I'm a
- 20:47Speaker 2: Giants fan and they're just as crappy. So it's just
- 20:51Speaker 2: like a really sad football season in our house.
- 20:54Speaker 5: He did you watch the Bucks at all because of Tom?
- 20:56Speaker 2: You know?
- 20:56Speaker 3: No?
- 20:57Speaker 2: No, the Bucks was solely just because of Tom being there.
- 21:01Speaker 2: But we have like we have Bucks merch around the
- 21:04Speaker 2: house too, just like and can remember to.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Switch over from the Patriots to the Bus. He's a
- 21:09Speaker 4: true Patriots fan.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a true page. Oh no, no, no, we we did.
- 21:14Speaker 2: We declare her Yeah yeah, we declared herself Tom over team,
- 21:18Speaker 2: and we were we were more Bucks fans for those
- 21:20Speaker 2: three years than we were Patriots fans. Like when they
- 21:22Speaker 2: did go ahead to head, we rooted for Tom. Okay,
- 21:25Speaker 2: but he really got me, like he got me into
- 21:27Speaker 2: the Tom spell.
- 21:28Speaker 4: The Patriots was Mac Jones, who was football for Obama.
- 21:33Speaker 4: He was a product for Alabama for a while. Okay,
- 21:36Speaker 4: I wanted him so bad selfishly to come to be
- 21:39Speaker 4: to be with the Niners, and then we passed on
- 21:41Speaker 4: him and we al was like my gosh, like we
- 21:43Speaker 4: passed on him. We got brought party and it's working out.
- 21:46Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, it's working out quite well for you guys.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I think it worked out for the best. I know,
- 21:53Speaker 2: how many more years does he have on his contract?
- 21:55Speaker 3: Fred?
- 21:56Speaker 4: So right now he's in like his second contract and
- 21:59Speaker 4: so not this offen, but next offseason they'll kind of
- 22:01Speaker 4: reevaluate and we could get like five more.
- 22:03Speaker 5: Years here or if we get zero years here, who knows.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Does that stress you out that like you you for
- 22:10Speaker 2: the foresee, the future won't have like your your home
- 22:15Speaker 2: place could just change basically anytime because he could be
- 22:18Speaker 2: traded and such too.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Right, yeah, absolutely so.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Right now, he's been with the Niners his whole career,
- 22:23Speaker 4: this is his he's in his sixth year now, which
- 22:25Speaker 4: is like pretty solid.
- 22:26Speaker 5: To be with a team six years.
- 22:28Speaker 4: So we feel really, you know, good, and he's playing
- 22:32Speaker 4: great and he you know, he's the captain of the team,
- 22:34Speaker 4: so we feel pretty solid now.
- 22:35Speaker 5: But football, it's business. Anything can change at any moment.
- 22:38Speaker 4: So we're just going to cross our fingers and hope
- 22:41Speaker 4: he does great until next off season and hope that
- 22:43Speaker 4: the Niners want him to stay.
- 22:45Speaker 5: And if so, that's amazing. But if not. Then it's
- 22:48Speaker 5: part of a life. We got to pick up, we
- 22:49Speaker 5: got to go.
- 22:50Speaker 3: So yeah, that's got to keep you on edge a
- 22:54Speaker 3: little bit totally, especially.
- 22:55Speaker 5: With the baby on the way.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yeah, now I need to be honest about this.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Next question as an NFL wife, Well, how do you
- 23:09Speaker 3: feel about this all the Taylor Swift attention with Travis Kelsey.
- 23:12Speaker 4: My gosh, So I didn't even think it was legit
- 23:15Speaker 4: in the beginning.
- 23:16Speaker 5: I was like, oh, like, there's no way, Like that's crazy.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Da da da da.
- 23:20Speaker 5: And then like it's totally legit, like they are in love,
- 23:23Speaker 5: like they.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Like yeah, very like this is this is for real,
- 23:27Speaker 4: which is so crazy, But I.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Think it's it's wild. I mean, I don't know. I
- 23:33Speaker 5: think now that I'm like.
- 23:34Speaker 4: In this, you kind of when you're in it, you're like, yeah,
- 23:37Speaker 4: these guys are athletes, but a lot of them are
- 23:39Speaker 4: also celebrities. Like it's kind of crazy how you get
- 23:42Speaker 4: they're like both and Travis is both. Yes, it's natural
- 23:46Speaker 4: for him to date someone that's, you know, celebrity as
- 23:49Speaker 4: well her being I think a little bit more so
- 23:51Speaker 4: than him on the celebrity.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe the most famous celebrity in the entire world, right,
- 23:57Speaker 2: So it.
- 23:57Speaker 5: Totally makes sense, honestly, good for him.
- 24:01Speaker 4: That's incredible that he shot his shot and it is
- 24:04Speaker 4: working out great for him.
- 24:07Speaker 3: So yeah, it's it's good.
- 24:08Speaker 5: It's also really good for the Chiefs because their ticket
- 24:11Speaker 5: sales have like.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Skyrocketed even more. But yeah, I mean, I think everyone's winning.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Everyone's winning.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Really.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Okay, if you guys could have a celebrity of like
- 24:25Speaker 6: a tailor status date one of the Niners, who would
- 24:30Speaker 6: you want it to be?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Like?
- 24:31Speaker 3: Who would you want to hang out in the box with?
- 24:33Speaker 4: I It's kind of like it's like on my mind
- 24:36Speaker 4: because she just performed with the super Bowl, But like Rihanna,
- 24:39Speaker 4: I know she's yeah, but she's taken, was available? Who's
- 24:43Speaker 4: not taken? I feel like everyone's taken that I would
- 24:46Speaker 4: want to hang out with.
- 24:50Speaker 2: What about one of the Kardashians would be really Arianna
- 24:54Speaker 2: has got a boyfriend that we all don't friend.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Everyone's taken Kim Kardashian, but like there's rumors that she
- 25:00Speaker 4: dating Obj's.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Right, the OBJ rumors.
- 25:04Speaker 2: They're out there, but we've never seen them together yet.
- 25:08Speaker 5: That would be nuts.
- 25:10Speaker 3: They need to see it. I can totally see it
- 25:12Speaker 3: me too. It kind of brings her back to her
- 25:15Speaker 3: you know, Reggie Bots.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you like, but I don't know, I like those
- 25:23Speaker 4: are two really good ones because everyone else has taken.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well you and Fred just started a podcast, and.
- 25:36Speaker 3: I guess, like it's kind of almost.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Feels crazy that like the NFL players can have their
- 25:41Speaker 2: own podcast, Like Travis Kelsey has his own podcast. He
- 25:44Speaker 2: puts a lot of things out there. You guys have
- 25:46Speaker 2: a podcast, it's called The Warner House. What are you
- 25:50Speaker 2: talking about on there? And like, is there anything that
- 25:54Speaker 2: he is like off limits of talking about about, like
- 25:57Speaker 2: what happens like at work?
- 25:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 26:00Speaker 4: So basically, what we decided to do was take this
- 26:04Speaker 4: opportunity to talk about my perspective as being his wife
- 26:07Speaker 4: and being someone that you know, is in this NFL
- 26:10Speaker 4: life with him, and then obviously his perspective of being
- 26:13Speaker 4: in the NFL, being on in the height of his career,
- 26:17Speaker 4: being the captain of the team, and like, you know,
- 26:18Speaker 4: just kind of getting to know us an aspect of
- 26:22Speaker 4: just like our family life, and then also just like
- 26:24Speaker 4: making it about football too, because that's what people want
- 26:26Speaker 4: to know. For Fred, he definitely doesn't There's certain things
- 26:29Speaker 4: like you can't really talk about, you know, the ins
- 26:32Speaker 4: and outs of injuries, or the ins and outs of
- 26:34Speaker 4: like people, like you know, people's status on the team.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Those are the things that are completely off limits, of course.
- 26:41Speaker 4: But he can definitely talk about.
- 26:42Speaker 5: His play, what he thinks of his teammates play, and
- 26:46Speaker 5: things like that. Other teams and how they're doing.
- 26:50Speaker 4: We to talk about that, but yeah, I think off
- 26:52Speaker 4: limits would just be kind of like the obvious stuff,
- 26:55Speaker 4: you know, like the personal things with other players, and like,
- 26:58Speaker 4: you know, especially when playoffs come, things will have to
- 27:00Speaker 4: be dialed down a bit.
- 27:01Speaker 2: But yeah, m all right, Well this has been so
- 27:06Speaker 2: fun at talking to you. My last question is just like,
- 27:11Speaker 2: how are you staying in touch with The Bachelor? Do
- 27:13Speaker 2: you have any ties to this show anymore? Do you
- 27:15Speaker 2: still watch as Fred get into it?
- 27:18Speaker 5: Yeah, so we do watch the Golden Bachelor.
- 27:21Speaker 3: We love that.
- 27:22Speaker 4: That's amazing. I hope they do a Bachelor at version
- 27:24Speaker 4: of that. I talked to I talked to a lot
- 27:26Speaker 4: of girls in my season. I talked to Natasha Parker.
- 27:28Speaker 4: I just got off the phone with Jasmine yesterday. I
- 27:31Speaker 4: have a few ties. Of course, It's not as close
- 27:33Speaker 4: as it used to be. Because you know, life moves
- 27:35Speaker 4: on and people move out with their lives. But yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 4: I love the girls on my season, like we're all
- 27:41Speaker 4: so close still and it's uh, like I said, I
- 27:44Speaker 4: wouldn't have been in this position and knowing my husband
- 27:46Speaker 4: and all of this if it wasn't for the show.
- 27:48Speaker 4: So I try to, you know, keep a few ties
- 27:50Speaker 4: in there.
- 27:50Speaker 5: But yeah, all right, well.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Said third trimester. For me, it was actually the most tolerable.
- 27:57Speaker 2: But for a lot of people, I know, I know,
- 28:00Speaker 2: it's when everything, like I started to be able to
- 28:02Speaker 2: like did you get when.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Did you get birth? What week?
- 28:04Speaker 5: If I can ask?
- 28:05Speaker 2: Thirty eight, which was honestly ideal and.
- 28:08Speaker 5: You didn't have to be induced or anything?
- 28:10Speaker 3: Right, No, I don't want to. I don't want I
- 28:12Speaker 3: don't want that.
- 28:13Speaker 4: That's one of because fears, Like I'm totally okay with
- 28:15Speaker 4: getting a C section if that's well, obviously what you
- 28:17Speaker 4: have to do.
- 28:18Speaker 5: But my biggest fears is induction because we do.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want that.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Most I hear awful things about it, Like so many
- 28:27Speaker 2: people tell me like, oh, yeah, I'm getting induced, No
- 28:29Speaker 2: big deal, I'm getting induced, And I'm like every time
- 28:31Speaker 2: I hear somebody getting induced, like it just seems like
- 28:34Speaker 2: it was the worst, longest experience exactly.
- 28:37Speaker 5: So I want to avoid that more than anything.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Like if I'm like two weeks past my due date,
- 28:41Speaker 4: I would rather do that than be induced. And that
- 28:43Speaker 4: sounds crazy, but I'm being honest.
- 28:45Speaker 3: I know I was crazy. I had told my doctor.
- 28:48Speaker 2: I was like, is there any chance that maybe we
- 28:51Speaker 2: could just do an elective C section? Because I, in
- 28:53Speaker 2: my head can fathom surgery way more than a body total.
- 29:02Speaker 4: When I was in my first time ester, I don't
- 29:04Speaker 4: know what. It came up on my feet or something.
- 29:05Speaker 4: You did a podcast with your dad and your sister
- 29:08Speaker 4: explained epidurals, because I don't know. And I listened to
- 29:11Speaker 4: that podcast probably two times.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Over no way I have. I did, and it.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Helped me so much.
- 29:18Speaker 4: I know so much, many things that I had no
- 29:20Speaker 4: idea before. So that incredible.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Oh my god, Sydney, thank you so much for listening
- 29:26Speaker 3: to I'm so glad.
- 29:26Speaker 5: It's helpful, so good, so so so good.
- 29:29Speaker 4: I learned so much and I'm like, okay, like low
- 29:32Speaker 4: key like my birth plan, okay, where I'm like what
- 29:34Speaker 4: your dad was saying, Oh my.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Gosh, that's so special. I'm gonna go tell them right
- 29:38Speaker 3: after this podcast. That's awesome. Yeah, all right, well this
- 29:41Speaker 3: is such an honor.
- 29:42Speaker 2: And reach out to me anytime about anything skin, pregnancy
- 29:46Speaker 2: all the time.
- 29:48Speaker 5: Things to your skin for the you know, off.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Of this prolactile.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Thanksgiving, Bye, Happy Thanksgiving.
