- 0:22Speaker 1: It is time believe your worries outside. Come laugh with
- 0:27Speaker 1: us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey
- 0:31Speaker 1: Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Got my notes. I'm ready to roll, gentlemen.
- 0:40Speaker 1: All right, on today's show, WAPPA is out for Blood,
- 0:48Speaker 1: ESPN's Bold Strategy and Democracy manifest That is all coming
- 0:55Speaker 1: up on today's show. But first I need to tell
- 1:03Speaker 1: you about how Tara and I have relocated. One would
- 1:08Speaker 1: think we're the worst participants in the Witness Relocation program
- 1:12Speaker 1: because I tell you where we keep going if we
- 1:15Speaker 1: don't change our names. But it feels a little bit
- 1:18Speaker 1: like witness relocation. So here's over the last almost three years,
- 1:26Speaker 1: or no two years. Over the last almost two years
- 1:30Speaker 1: has been our locations, Okay, Dallas, Saint Thomas, Saint John, Dallas,
- 1:46Speaker 1: now Seattle. Yeah, and those are just the physical municipalities,
- 1:55Speaker 1: geographical locations. That does not include the number of places
- 1:58Speaker 1: we've actually lived in that time, because we've had to
- 2:00Speaker 1: pop around a little bit. All while keeping in mind
- 2:03Speaker 1: we have our own house. Sorry, I'm trying not to
- 2:07Speaker 1: swear in the regular show anymore. I'll believe that later
- 2:11Speaker 1: we have our own e f and house on the
- 2:13Speaker 1: island of Saint Thomas. But because we needed to move
- 2:15Speaker 1: to Saint John Uh for my wife's work, we've got
- 2:19Speaker 1: that house rented out long term, so we can't live
- 2:21Speaker 1: in our own house. Terrible, terrible conunder mine.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Give me the house with the generator in the back
- 2:27Speaker 2: of the all its own water system and and everything
- 2:29Speaker 2: that we had, regardless of the power situation, makes it
- 2:32Speaker 2: kind of self sustaining.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, that one.
- 2:35Speaker 1: We've traded in our very well calculated, pre planned, thought
- 2:40Speaker 1: out home on an island in the Caribbean and said, nope,
- 2:45Speaker 1: we gotta we got to make a move for work,
- 2:49Speaker 1: mm hmm, which sounds silly but it's actually true.
- 2:52Speaker 3: And then and then you guys went up to Seattle
- 2:54Speaker 3: because you're avoiding hurricane season. You're not. You're not standing
- 2:58Speaker 3: strong with your Eyeland brothers and sisters.
- 3:01Speaker 1: And no, we're not. We bolted because are sustainable, hurricane proof,
- 3:07Speaker 1: ready to roll. House on Saint Thomas is full of
- 3:10Speaker 1: strangers and we can't live there because we told them
- 3:12Speaker 1: they could in exchange for money. So since we can't
- 3:15Speaker 1: live during hurricane season in our fortress, we're not gonna
- 3:19Speaker 1: We're not gonna chance it by living in a wood
- 3:23Speaker 1: structure apartment somewhere else.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Yes, so you chose the beautiful, sunny, blue skies of Seattle.
- 3:31Speaker 2: In the shadow of a volcano.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Still better than a Category five hurricane. Okay, I have
- 3:39Speaker 1: at least I have at least seen Dante's Peak to
- 3:43Speaker 1: know the things I can do to try to survive
- 3:46Speaker 1: a volcanic eruption. I have not seen a Hollywood disaster
- 3:50Speaker 1: film centered around a hurricane yet that anyone has survived.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So I'm going with what I know.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why they haven't made a movie called Pompeii.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Actually they did, Yeah, and I think it ends like
- 4:04Speaker 3: within the first two minutes.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Of the movie and then the rest is just flashback.
- 4:09Speaker 4: To a better time.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, remember remember when we were all happy and
- 4:15Speaker 1: not frozen and ash you and all that stuff coming
- 4:20Speaker 1: up on the show today. But first I'm going to
- 4:23Speaker 1: tell you about the relocation to Seattle. Really it is,
- 4:26Speaker 1: You're right, Rise, It was kind of a relocation for
- 4:30Speaker 1: going someplace nice. And while Seattle has the uh the
- 4:34Speaker 1: stereotype of cloudy and gloomy, and I mean, I guess
- 4:38Speaker 1: it has that, but in the summer it's pretty damn nice.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And by nice, I mean summer in Seattle, like late
- 4:46Speaker 1: fall in DFW.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Oh okay, okayne, wearing.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Long sleeves right now inside of a house in Seattle
- 4:54Speaker 1: that does not have air conditioning, and and I'm kind
- 4:57Speaker 1: of chilly.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Oh okay nice?
- 5:00Speaker 1: Uh that we just left Dallas. The day we left,
- 5:04Speaker 1: the expected high temperature was one hundred and three degrees.
- 5:07Speaker 1: That does not eat index, Okay, right, it was three
- 5:11Speaker 1: in Dallas. Three and a half hours later when we
- 5:15Speaker 1: landed in Seattle, it was going to be a high
- 5:20Speaker 1: of seventy nine and people were kind of worried because
- 5:23Speaker 1: if it rolled over to eighty they were all going
- 5:25Speaker 1: to have to jump in the water to cool off.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that that happens here here. You get heat
- 5:32Speaker 3: waves of a blistering eighty four and people start falling
- 5:34Speaker 3: the f out.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You say that jokingly, but that's almost verbatim what our
- 5:39Speaker 1: Uber drivers said on the way here from the airport.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Oh, I was in London many years ago during the
- 5:47Speaker 3: London Marathon and it was unseasonably warm at seventy four
- 5:51Speaker 3: degrees and three people on my train passed out.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I just don't know.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, all the Indians on the train in London when I.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Rookies there was though there was I think it was
- 6:05Speaker 1: last summer. We were seeing headlines from around the world,
- 6:09Speaker 1: especially in Europe, where they were actually experiencing triple digit
- 6:13Speaker 1: heat and did not know how to function, because you're right,
- 6:16Speaker 1: you're talking about parts of the world they don't know
- 6:17Speaker 1: how to function when the temperature goes up into the
- 6:20Speaker 1: mid to upper eighties, let alone the nineties, let alone
- 6:24Speaker 1: gets to triple digits. And yeah, people were dying like
- 6:27Speaker 1: they're throwing themselves off the rocket Gibraltar because it was
- 6:30Speaker 1: going to be cooler on the way down.
- 6:34Speaker 3: That's one way to fan yourself. Yeah. So I mean
- 6:40Speaker 3: in Chicago, I'm a couple of years ago, there was
- 6:42Speaker 3: a heat wave and it was eighty eight I believe,
- 6:46Speaker 3: and they had multiple fatalities because people were just overheating
- 6:50Speaker 3: and not used to it. And I understand, but yeah,
- 6:53Speaker 3: you guys are like bitched out on hurricane season and
- 6:58Speaker 3: then you got here and even though you grew up here.
- 7:01Speaker 4: A little too hot for you guys.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Okay, so you had to go up to Seattle where
- 7:06Speaker 3: it rains two hundred and seventy five days out of
- 7:08Speaker 3: the year.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yay.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You know what, sometimes after living in an idyllic Caribbean island,
- 7:15Speaker 1: you just want some weather disparity.
- 7:19Speaker 3: That's that's your guys' idea of vacationing is going somewhere unpleasant.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Sucks, doesn't it. That's just a really, really rough life
- 7:30Speaker 1: we built for ourselves.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Boring.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I just see you guys sitting in Saint John with
- 7:34Speaker 3: like brochures like welcome to Cleveland.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You know what I've I've often wondered, does it really rock?
- 7:43Speaker 1: Let's go find out.
- 7:44Speaker 4: How's Columbus this time of year?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Has anyone?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Has anyone ever actually been to Dacab Illinois?
- 7:55Speaker 2: You know what I hear is nice this time of year.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Flint.
- 8:01Speaker 3: We got the water package.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So I'm going to give you a quick idea of
- 8:10Speaker 1: what things have been like in Seattle here since since
- 8:13Speaker 1: we landed. And I'm going to tell you this. We
- 8:16Speaker 1: have been in Seattle for a mere twenty four hours,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and I'm now going to tell you about the things
- 8:22Speaker 1: that I have seen just outside this window. Okay, because
- 8:26Speaker 1: again we've only been here for like twenty four hours.
- 8:27Speaker 1: The only things that we have done since we've been
- 8:29Speaker 1: here was flying to the airport, take an uber to
- 8:33Speaker 1: the place we're staying, and we've stayed here unpacked, and
- 8:38Speaker 1: then now I'm doing the show. So just in this morning,
- 8:42Speaker 1: sitting here at this desk, behind this microphone, looking out
- 8:45Speaker 1: the window, I'm now going to tell you the things
- 8:48Speaker 1: that I have seen in Seattle. Okay, these are the
- 8:51Speaker 1: things I've seen in Seattle just staring out this window.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I have seen a German shepherd in a wheelchair. I
- 9:01Speaker 1: saw a girl on her morning walk while smoking her
- 9:05Speaker 1: morning blunt mm hmm. I saw a braless lesbian.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I saw a man with hiking poles, a backpack and
- 9:14Speaker 1: wearing a surgical mask. Okay, this is a normal residential street.
- 9:22Speaker 1: This isn't even in the city.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, I get it.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And now that I've written all this stuff down, the
- 9:33Speaker 1: things I've seen outside my window in Seattle, I have
- 9:36Speaker 1: also come to the realization that I am turning into
- 9:39Speaker 1: the old lady from two to two seven.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Please let Tray be Jack Hay.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Someone's gonna have a fun day with photoshop.

- 10:31Speaker 1: as well. And you were telling me just recently that you,
- 10:36Speaker 1: Daniel and COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration offer lifetime warranties on
- 10:41Speaker 1: all your work.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 6: Dan, that's something that we talked about for a while
- 10:45Speaker 6: now and we decided to go ahead and just pull
- 10:47Speaker 6: the trigger on it. We've had excellent reviews, we've had
- 10:50Speaker 6: excellent referrals. People really love our work when they give
- 10:53Speaker 6: us a chance, and we just want to put our

- 10:58Speaker 6: best way I can always say that is just back
- 11:01Speaker 6: it up.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Back it up.
- 11:02Speaker 6: When I was growing up and I told somebody who's
- 11:04Speaker 6: gonna kick their ass, you got to back it up. Well,
- 11:07Speaker 6: now that I'm a grown man and we're doing professional
- 11:09Speaker 6: services on people's homes and I tell them that they're

- 11:26Speaker 1: You can experience it for yourself, and you can put
- 11:28Speaker 1: your money where Daniel's mouth is and he'll honor it.
- 11:32Speaker 1: As you just heard, even if he dies, he's still
- 11:35Speaker 1: going to honor this stuff. I mean, that's that's some
- 11:38Speaker 1: serious integrity and quality craftsmanship to have the confidence to
- 11:42Speaker 1: be like, yeah, this is how we do things. So
- 11:44Speaker 1: you give the man a call for that free roof inspection.

- 12:38Speaker 1: df W, the website, cookdfw dot com. Tray do me
- 12:41Speaker 1: a huge, huge favor and uh give me a nice hey.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Hey there he is Raj Trey is Jack from town.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Now do your hand like this with so quick side
- 13:00Speaker 1: story our buddy tone Bell, which if you've listened to
- 13:03Speaker 1: this show for any stretch of time, you know we've
- 13:05Speaker 1: had him on the radio show. We've had him on
- 13:06Speaker 1: the podcast. Been a friend of ours for many, many years.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And when he made the when he left DFW went
- 13:13Speaker 1: to Hollywood to become a star, which he's pretty much done.
- 13:17Speaker 1: One of the times where I've thought to myself, oh,
- 13:20Speaker 1: he's making it is when I saw him doing a
- 13:23Speaker 1: scene with Jack A. I forgot what the project was.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I don't know if it was a commercial or a
- 13:30Speaker 1: TV show, but he was. He was on a show
- 13:33Speaker 1: pretty sure if I remember this correctly, with jack A,
- 13:35Speaker 1: and I thought, man tones really making it.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Huh. I wonder what that which one that was?
- 13:40Speaker 1: I'd have to look it up. Yeah, But There's been
- 13:42Speaker 1: a number of those times in his Hollywood career where
- 13:45Speaker 1: I've been like, wow, he's doing good. But that was
- 13:46Speaker 1: one of the first ones, was when I saw him
- 13:48Speaker 1: doing a project with one of the stars of two
- 13:50Speaker 1: to two sevends like, man, our buddy's doing good.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Yeah. My moment with him was we're in Austin for
- 13:55Speaker 3: his birthday because he lives outside of Austin, and we
- 13:59Speaker 3: went to this bar in downtown Austin and Anthony Mackie
- 14:03Speaker 3: joined us, uh, which was very very cool.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You mean you mean New Captain America.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Yes, uh, he was, and what a wonderful guy. And
- 14:14Speaker 3: I was like, wow, okay, now that's kind of cool,
- 14:17Speaker 3: like and they like tapped it up like they I
- 14:19Speaker 3: was like, all right, this is good. So and then
- 14:21Speaker 3: so I got to do the same because we're in
- 14:23Speaker 3: the same clique, in the same crew. Oh yeah yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 3: So I felt famous by uh my osmosis and just
- 14:31Speaker 3: just breathing in some of tones by by proximity.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yes, quick question, this will be so so this will
- 14:38Speaker 1: be sort of an impromptu versus so I can find
- 14:41Speaker 1: the music real quick. Hey, would you rather uh, well,
- 14:51Speaker 1: hanging out with tone Bell? Would you be more excited
- 14:54Speaker 1: to tap it up with Anthony Mackie the New Captain
- 14:57Speaker 1: America or jack A from two two say.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Oh, that's so hard.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I know. That's why. That's why I'm calling this verses.
- 15:06Speaker 1: It's hard.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I already did the one, so I'll just go
- 15:08Speaker 3: with Jack Hey.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Fair enough, that's a that's a good answer. That's a
- 15:12Speaker 1: good answer, Trey. You're in the same boat as me,
- 15:15Speaker 1: which is all right. You're hanging out with Tone, Anthony Mackie,
- 15:19Speaker 1: Jack A from two two seven. They're both gonna you
- 15:22Speaker 1: only get to say hi to one of them because
- 15:23Speaker 1: they both know Tone. But you only get to hang
- 15:25Speaker 1: You only get to say hi to one. Which one
- 15:26Speaker 1: are you gonna go with?
- 15:32Speaker 2: H I don't have to go with Captain America.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the close one that is solid, you know what?
- 15:38Speaker 2: And I if you threw in Marla Gibbs, then I'm
- 15:40Speaker 2: going the other direction.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Oh the two on one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm with
- 15:44Speaker 1: you there. I think that makes sense. Uh. I too
- 15:46Speaker 1: would have to go with Anthony Mackie because he's the
- 15:48Speaker 1: new Captain America and that's one of my favorite characters.
- 15:51Speaker 1: So I would probably do that, But my younger self
- 15:54Speaker 1: would be very upset because I loved two to two
- 15:57Speaker 1: seven as a kid. Yeah, that show.
- 16:00Speaker 4: That's so weird. That's so weird that you.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Mean a white kid from Oklahoma watching two two seven.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Yes, that is exactly right.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Like that should be a question on Jeopardy like things
- 16:11Speaker 3: you never thought, whatever happened in your lifetime, and that
- 16:14Speaker 3: would be the answer.
- 16:15Speaker 1: That would be my ultimate moment is for one that
- 16:18Speaker 1: I'm just on an episode of Jeopardy, and then and
- 16:21Speaker 1: then two there's a there's a whole category where it's
- 16:24Speaker 1: just Oklahoma white kid. I'm like, oh my god, I
- 16:26Speaker 1: got this.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Now.
- 16:28Speaker 2: The old guy that lives across the street from Tone
- 16:31Speaker 2: that's in a trump.
- 16:31Speaker 3: All of them, Yeah, yeah, Jerry.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Jerry, Yeah, Jerry, the octogenarian best friend of Tone.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yes, who who got who? They sit outside and and
- 16:43Speaker 3: drink Gin and Tonics and yeah uh and Jerry checks on.
- 16:48Speaker 4: They're a wonderful couple.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I've met them a few.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Times, you know what? That right there, that should be
- 16:53Speaker 1: the new sitcom from Tone's production company two point zero.
- 17:01Speaker 3: It should be perfect Strangers, Like that's the that's the
- 17:04Speaker 3: that's the show. Because you just if you ever meet Jerry,
- 17:07Speaker 3: which I hope you do, you can look at him
- 17:10Speaker 3: and look right at Tone and go. I don't know
- 17:12Speaker 3: how you guys hang out. I don't understand it. But
- 17:15Speaker 3: jin is a is a miracle worker apparently.
- 17:18Speaker 1: So yeah, all right, I want to speaking of pulling
- 17:23Speaker 1: things out of our past, like two two seven, there's
- 17:25Speaker 1: something else from the past that I need to pull
- 17:27Speaker 1: up because it has become current again. A man died recently.
- 17:32Speaker 1: His name is Jack Carlson, and he died at the
- 17:36Speaker 1: age of eighty two the other day. And the man
- 17:38Speaker 1: was instrumental not only upon the world, but more specifically
- 17:43Speaker 1: upon YouTube. Jack Carlson died this last week at the
- 17:47Speaker 1: age of eighty two, one of the very first YouTube stars.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And I really feel like two thousand and eight was
- 17:56Speaker 1: when YouTube was really really robust and coming into its
- 17:59Speaker 1: own because you had things that had happened over the
- 18:02Speaker 1: previous year or two to really kind of bolster it
- 18:04Speaker 1: to make it cool, one of which was Chad Vader,
- 18:08Speaker 1: which I love that series. If you have not seen
- 18:10Speaker 1: Chad Vader, go watch it. The Retarded Policeman, which is
- 18:13Speaker 1: one of Trey's personal favorites, a phenomenal YouTube series. Along
- 18:17Speaker 1: with all the other myriad viral sensations that YouTube bred.
- 18:24Speaker 1: The Tazon day Chocolate Rain the Sunseed Band talking about
- 18:30Speaker 1: how Jesus is their friend. There's all these videos that
- 18:33Speaker 1: we played with in the old days on YouTube and
- 18:35Speaker 1: on the radio, but there is one that was super
- 18:38Speaker 1: special back then and it is boomeranged now because it's
- 18:43Speaker 1: star has died at the age of eighty two. So
- 18:46Speaker 1: what I'm going to do is I'm going to share
- 18:49Speaker 1: with you the star that I'm referring to and see
- 18:52Speaker 1: if you guys can remember Jack Carlson by name. The
- 18:56Speaker 1: thing is, though, even if you don't remember him by name,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you are going to remember him by voice and by
- 19:06Speaker 1: content of the video that I'm going to share with you. Okay,
- 19:10Speaker 1: all right, So here we go. Here's Jack Carlson all
- 19:14Speaker 1: the way back in the early YouTube days while being
- 19:17Speaker 1: arrested in Australia. Ready, can you guys see it? So
- 19:24Speaker 1: there's a white man, middle aged, sultan pepper hair mustache,
- 19:29Speaker 1: being led out of either a jail or a courthouse,
- 19:32Speaker 1: surrounded by authorities and being put into a police car.
- 19:37Speaker 2: He looks like a drunken captain Kangaroo.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yes, spot on, Trey, spot on, or as they say
- 19:45Speaker 1: in Australia, good on you. Yeah. So he's getting out
- 19:52Speaker 1: of the car and now he's being arrested.
- 19:57Speaker 8: Just assured, see hand. So at the time you're not
- 20:01Speaker 8: as showing any gentlemen.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Is the mach Grose Manifest?
- 20:13Speaker 1: Do you recognize it yet?
- 20:15Speaker 2: No?
- 20:16Speaker 1: So he's uh pretending to be shocked that he's being
- 20:18Speaker 1: arrested and it is Democracy.
- 20:20Speaker 8: Manifest, gentlemen. Is the bach Grose Manifest. Have a look
- 20:30Speaker 8: at the headlock?
- 20:31Speaker 2: Ye say that.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Chappie with a heil.
- 20:34Speaker 1: So it's amazing to me is I don't know what
- 20:35Speaker 1: this guy did for a living, but the fact that
- 20:37Speaker 1: he was not a prolific movie trailer voiceover artist is
- 20:41Speaker 1: a tragedy. I mean, listen to how he says. Democracy Manifest, gentlemen,
- 20:51Speaker 1: is the mach Grose Manifest. And like all things that
- 20:55Speaker 1: were great on YouTube and even great today, it goes
- 20:58Speaker 1: from something that it seems how eyebar and then immediately
- 21:01Speaker 1: drops down the low bar, which is where we live.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 21:06Speaker 8: Have a look at the headlock.
- 21:14Speaker 1: And here we are.
- 21:14Speaker 8: This is the bike who got me on the fens.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I look, this is where we need to talk to
- 21:22Speaker 1: our friends on the uh down the branch of the
- 21:25Speaker 1: Treehouse Network from Offbeat, the light side of law enforcement
- 21:29Speaker 1: and ask one of those officers, have have you guys
- 21:32Speaker 1: ever been shoving a suspect or a purp or an
- 21:35Speaker 1: arrestee into a squad car and accidentally grabbed his penis?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Is that a thing?
- 21:42Speaker 3: I believe it does happen. Uh, there was. There's another
- 21:47Speaker 3: YouTube video with the guys getting fristed. I think it's
- 21:49Speaker 3: in his house and they're patting him down and uh
- 21:52Speaker 3: the officer uh doesn't understand what the foreign object is
- 21:57Speaker 3: because it was it was quite large, and he says,
- 22:01Speaker 3: what is this and the guy responds, my penis, sir,
- 22:05Speaker 3: so very respectable.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Well, now, keeping in mind I've seen some of those
- 22:11Speaker 1: black dot com videos and they don't always sound that nice.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Uh, and you know when a police officer has your
- 22:19Speaker 3: junk in in in his hands, respect is what you show?
- 22:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you definitely say, sir.
- 22:27Speaker 8: Here's the crost manifest. Have a look at the headlock
- 22:33Speaker 8: say that this is the who got me on the fish?
- 22:43Speaker 7: Why did you do this?
- 22:45Speaker 8: But what what is the jogging occulent China.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Headlocks shop?
- 22:54Speaker 3: They can't get him now, this is amazing, and he's
- 22:57Speaker 3: still talking. They're really trying you see the cops fate
- 23:01Speaker 3: like the police is really really trying.
- 23:03Speaker 1: You know what, sometimes sometimes after a succulent Chinese meal,
- 23:08Speaker 1: you're just really hard to handle.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I say that, you know, I mean, have you.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Ever heard someone getting arrested while being so complimentary to
- 23:21Speaker 1: the police officers?
- 23:23Speaker 3: It just sounds like this is what I would imagine
- 23:26Speaker 3: if Sean Connery got arrested. This is what he kind
- 23:30Speaker 3: of sad like. He has his moments where he like,
- 23:33Speaker 3: it's not Australian, but it's very Sean Connery. Like what
- 23:38Speaker 3: he said, this is democracy manifest.
- 23:40Speaker 4: It sounds like.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Connery, Oh, and are you waiting to.
- 23:46Speaker 8: Receive my lymp out.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Of so if you're wondering why he asked that, gentleman,
- 23:53Speaker 1: if he's wanting to receive his olymp penis, that's because
- 23:56Speaker 1: of all these guys trying to handcuff him and get
- 23:59Speaker 1: him in the back of this car are some guide decides.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And I've never seen this, and I've seen a lot
- 24:02Speaker 1: of episodes of Cops. Someone jumps into the back seat
- 24:06Speaker 1: of the car ahead of uh, mister Carlson here, and
- 24:10Speaker 1: mister Carlson asks a very poignant question, which is basically,
- 24:12Speaker 1: why are you doing that, but does it in his
- 24:14Speaker 1: own special delivery.
- 24:15Speaker 8: I guess I see that. You know you're kudo? How
- 24:23Speaker 8: are you waiting to receive my Lympus? Out at you?
- 24:34Speaker 3: I love this guy.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I would have let him go right there, Tata and farewell.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Uh uh wow. That is a well rip.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Rip to Jack Carlson, the Australian man behind the Democracy
- 24:48Speaker 1: manifest meme who became a worldwide sensation later in life
- 24:52Speaker 1: after this nineteen ninety one clip of his arrest for
- 24:55Speaker 1: consuming a succulent Chinese meal went viral. They reported he
- 24:59Speaker 1: died surrounded by family after battling cancer, hopefully that he
- 25:03Speaker 1: did not receive from the succulent.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Chineseman they received from MSG.
- 25:09Speaker 1: He also had many other health conditions, including systemic inflammatory
- 25:13Speaker 1: response syndrome okay that may have been from the Chinese fur.
- 25:21Speaker 1: He walked a full according to the family. In a statement,
- 25:24Speaker 1: they said he walked a full and colorful path and
- 25:26Speaker 1: despite the troubles thrown at him, he lived by his
- 25:29Speaker 1: motto to keep on laughing. I thought his motto was
- 25:32Speaker 1: going to be are you waiting to receive my limp? Penis?
- 25:40Speaker 3: That just sounds like something you hear in a bar.
- 25:42Speaker 3: In Dallas at like two am, like people had too
- 25:46Speaker 3: much to drink.
- 25:47Speaker 2: He lived long enough to see his son pole vault
- 25:49Speaker 2: in the Olympics.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Well you know he died proud.
- 26:00Speaker 2: That's my boy.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I can go now.
- 26:10Speaker 5: You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online that treehouseonair
- 26:15Speaker 5: dot com.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now.
- 26:24Speaker 1: For any and all of your plumbing wants and needs,
- 26:26Speaker 1: give her a call two one, four, three six eight
- 26:28Speaker 1: thirty eight thirty eight the website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com.
- 26:31Speaker 1: We've talked about this before, Jacqueline, but I always feel
- 26:34Speaker 1: that it bears repeating, and that is someone trying to
- 26:37Speaker 1: cut corners when it comes to plumbing. And I will
- 26:39Speaker 1: freely admit I've been guilty of this. Our house in
- 26:41Speaker 1: the Island, we had a handyman come in do some
- 26:43Speaker 1: plumbing stuff and he completely food barred it and we
- 26:46Speaker 1: had to have a plumber come in and fix it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And that's mainly because you don't have an office there.
- 26:50Speaker 1: But that's why it's so important that if you have
- 26:52Speaker 1: a plumbing issue, whether it's want or a need, to
- 26:55Speaker 1: contact a reputable license bonded, insured plumber for a multitude
- 27:00Speaker 1: of reasons.
- 27:01Speaker 9: So let me give you an example. I think I'm
- 27:04Speaker 9: kind of like the middle ground. We're not a commissioned company.
- 27:06Speaker 9: We're not going to sell you something you don't need.
- 27:08Speaker 9: We're not going to mark the price up. And the
- 27:11Speaker 9: expression in our office is you're selling the sizzle and
- 27:14Speaker 9: not the steak. And like I said, at the end
- 27:16Speaker 9: of the day, it's kind of about the meat and
- 27:17Speaker 9: the potatoes of the job. Did you do it, did
- 27:20Speaker 9: you fix the problem? Did you use the right materials?
- 27:24Speaker 9: And at some point in time you have to ask yourself,
- 27:26Speaker 9: if I've got two plumbers that are going to do
- 27:28Speaker 9: the exact same scope of work and one of them
- 27:30Speaker 9: is almost twice as expensive, am I being sold just
- 27:32Speaker 9: the sizzle? And that's what I want to walk away
- 27:35Speaker 9: from myself is as a consumer, because I have to
- 27:37Speaker 9: go through that too, because I only do plumbing.
- 27:40Speaker 2: But to that.
- 27:41Speaker 9: Point when you're talking about when you're no longer looking
- 27:45Speaker 9: for the sizzle and you've moved away from the insanely
- 27:47Speaker 9: high priced people and you're looking for a really good deal,
- 27:50Speaker 9: Now what you've come down to is you're looking for
- 27:52Speaker 9: a very affordably priced plumber, but you also have the
- 27:54Speaker 9: option to work with a handyman. And like I said,
- 27:57Speaker 9: there are handymen who can come in and air quotes
- 27:59Speaker 9: fix the problem. But the question becomes do they understand
- 28:03Speaker 9: the eccentricities that we understand. So, for example, we had
- 28:07Speaker 9: a house that had been all the hot water lines
- 28:10Speaker 9: had been repiped, but they repiped it with a sort
- 28:14Speaker 9: of pipe that cannot withstand high temperatures, and so it
- 28:18Speaker 9: couldn't over a long period of time, withstand the hot
- 28:21Speaker 9: water running through it, and so ultimately the fittings on
- 28:24Speaker 9: the pipe where two sections of pipe would come together
- 28:27Speaker 9: kind of melted away, and so they had multiple leaks
- 28:30Speaker 9: all across the house after they had redone this entire house.
- 28:33Speaker 9: And it took my my license technician five minutes in
- 28:36Speaker 9: the job because he walked in somebody had already dimmed
- 28:38Speaker 9: all the walls open and they said, well, this is
- 28:39Speaker 9: the wrong kind of pipe it you can't use this
- 28:42Speaker 9: for hot water. And we asked, you know, how long
- 28:44Speaker 9: did it work and they said, oh, it was you know,
- 28:46Speaker 9: a couple months, maybe a year before things just started
- 28:49Speaker 9: literally disintegrating. And they probably got a great price for that.
- 28:53Speaker 9: But the problem is is that now they have to
- 28:54Speaker 9: be pay to do it twice.
- 28:56Speaker 1: So not only are you paying to get that knowledge
- 28:59Speaker 1: and expertise that Brooks Plumbing possesses, they're going to take
- 29:02Speaker 1: care of you the customer to one four, three six

- 30:02Speaker 1: dies and then you realize you can actually do a
- 30:03Speaker 1: pretty good impression of them. Okay, because uh, I too
- 30:09Speaker 1: would like.
- 30:16Speaker 3: We're trying to figure out what movie? What movie character
- 30:20Speaker 3: or actor? He sounds like, Okay, there you go.
- 30:24Speaker 1: How not posh? Yeah that's pretty good?
- 30:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, okay, that's that's that's he missed his calling.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I mean, which one is.
- 30:32Speaker 1: The Hobbit that touches the crystal ball thing and Gandalf
- 30:34Speaker 1: tells him not to don't touch that ball and then
- 30:38Speaker 1: he does it anyway. Then Sarron finds him. If I
- 30:41Speaker 1: if I gone too deep into the Tolkien.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Stuff, Yeah, I never watched him.
- 30:48Speaker 2: You've never watched Lord of the Rings.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Not real quick. Trey isn't in the second movie because
- 30:54Speaker 1: I never read the books. So all I all I
- 30:56Speaker 1: know is the is the films. Wasn't it in the
- 30:59Speaker 1: second movie? Was it Holmes Deep? Is that the keep
- 31:03Speaker 1: that they were protecting help Helm's Deep? Oh? One of
- 31:08Speaker 1: the Wi Fi options in the neighborhood is Holmes Deep.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Ah.
- 31:13Speaker 1: So now I don't know if it's a Hobbit reference
- 31:16Speaker 1: or a John Holmes reference.
- 31:20Speaker 3: John holmes biography.
- 31:23Speaker 1: It's just John Holmes doing a bunch of hobbits which
- 31:25Speaker 1: imagine the imagine their shock.
- 31:28Speaker 2: That was midget porn.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Turns out you don't just toss them do There's a
- 31:44Speaker 1: bunch of hobbits climbing the trees. Oh wait, that's just
- 31:46Speaker 1: John Holmes there all right. Uh, another thing to bring
- 31:55Speaker 1: back from the past, which seems to be the running
- 31:57Speaker 1: theme of today's episode inside the Treehouse. We all remember
- 32:02Speaker 1: the movie Dodgeball, right, rog you've seen Dodgeball at least, yes, Okay,
- 32:06Speaker 1: so you know one of the great lines from Dodgeball,
- 32:09Speaker 1: which is of which there are many, but one of
- 32:12Speaker 1: the great ones from Patches o'hulahan, the Dodgeball legend, said
- 32:16Speaker 1: that if you can dodge your wrench, you can dodge
- 32:18Speaker 1: a ball.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:19Speaker 1: There are many other dodgeballisms that you know circulate throughout
- 32:23Speaker 1: our lives. That's one of them. One of the other
- 32:25Speaker 1: ones is Jason Bateman doing color commentary for ESPN the
- 32:31Speaker 1: Oat Show, next to Gary, the actor that played the
- 32:39Speaker 1: broadcast announcer. It's not coming to me at the top,
- 32:44Speaker 1: but his name's Gary and he's also the one from
- 32:46Speaker 1: Talladega Knights played Ricky Bobby's dad who was smoking in
- 32:51Speaker 1: the school and they told him there's no smokings, that
- 32:53Speaker 1: it's okay. I'm a volunteer fireman. Coincidentally, he was also
- 32:59Speaker 1: in a sitcom A Tone, which turns out Tone's done
- 33:01Speaker 1: a lot of them, so I guess it makes sense.
- 33:04Speaker 1: ESPN the Oho MHM was fake in the movie Dodgeball.
- 33:10Speaker 1: It took a number of years, but ESPN finally embraced
- 33:14Speaker 1: it and created ESPN the OCHO for real. Yes, now,
- 33:18Speaker 1: I didn't realize this until recently. Not only did not
- 33:22Speaker 1: only did they embrace it, but they've actually made it
- 33:25Speaker 1: an actual channel watchable from ESPN and they do this yearly.
- 33:31Speaker 1: You know how there's Shark week there's the OCHO weekend now.
- 33:37Speaker 2: And they do it multiple times a year now.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Oh really? Okay, So one of the things I was
- 33:41Speaker 1: reading earlier today was that I thought it was just
- 33:43Speaker 1: a once a year thing.
- 33:45Speaker 2: No, they've they've really leaned it used to be once
- 33:47Speaker 2: a year. Now I think they're doing it two three
- 33:49Speaker 2: times a year on slow weekends. Just obviously once the
- 33:53Speaker 2: NFL's gone, they especially in the summer that.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I believe put on news yeah, I believe it was.
- 34:02Speaker 3: It was where they started airing the Cornhole Championships was
- 34:08Speaker 3: on the show. It's moved, it's it's more mainstream now,
- 34:11Speaker 3: but it originally aired on THEO.
- 34:13Speaker 1: That's how it starts.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Though.
- 34:15Speaker 1: You put something on the show, you give it life. Yeah,
- 34:20Speaker 1: and people realize these other sports exist or yeah, and
- 34:25Speaker 1: they become fans and they see these sports. Yeah, that
- 34:30Speaker 1: seem very approachable and regular people like us think I
- 34:34Speaker 1: could do that.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I could.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Play cornhole and and and win.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Well, I mean one of the one of the biggest
- 34:40Speaker 3: stars has no arms or legs, So I'm thinking if
- 34:43Speaker 3: you have both of those, then you're pretty much ahead.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Of the game, really ahead of the game.
- 34:52Speaker 3: I had to laugh at when I said, I'm so
- 34:56Speaker 3: ashamed of you ed and shoulders above everybody else.
- 35:00Speaker 1: How is that not his endorsement.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Because he can't wash his hair.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Look, I'm sure a lot of people told him he
- 35:14Speaker 1: couldn't play cornhole either, and he found a way. I'm
- 35:16Speaker 1: sure he could find a way to wash his hair.
- 35:18Speaker 4: He's sponsored by bush Bean Inside. I don't know why.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Well, that's because he's still got a butthole. Not everything
- 35:28Speaker 1: was taken from him.
- 35:33Speaker 4: That man has a heart and a colon of gold.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Don't ever underst the me.
- 35:42Speaker 4: That's how he that's.
- 35:43Speaker 3: How he pushes his his The bean backthrough is with
- 35:48Speaker 3: a little uh little uh a little back end uh
- 35:50Speaker 3: back and help.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all propulsion from the bush beans. Not only
- 35:55Speaker 1: has it served NASA well, it's also served him well
- 35:59Speaker 1: in the National corn Hoole League. So ESPN's the OCHO
- 36:02Speaker 1: is a real thing. Now it's manifested into reality. And
- 36:08Speaker 1: I saw the other day someone actually posted the programming
- 36:10Speaker 1: schedule for it, and I was stunned. And I really
- 36:16Speaker 1: can't overstate that enough. Have you guys seen the programming
- 36:23Speaker 1: list on the ESPN the ohow?
- 36:25Speaker 2: No.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I know Trey has seen some because he's sent a
- 36:28Speaker 1: couple of screenshots for us. I forgot what one of
- 36:32Speaker 1: them was, but it had things trade you have see
- 36:35Speaker 1: if you can find that. I remember on there because
- 36:39Speaker 1: we talked about it before, which was Slippery Stairs. Trey
- 36:42Speaker 1: watched Slippery Stairs. That's a part of the OCHO programming.
- 36:47Speaker 1: There was something else that I think Trey you had
- 36:49Speaker 1: sent us as well, and we've talked about a couple
- 36:53Speaker 1: of them. But then I saw one the other day
- 36:56Speaker 1: that mentioned the twenty twenty four Excel World Championships, and
- 37:04Speaker 1: it took me a second because I thought it meant
- 37:06Speaker 1: Excel as an Excel at something, not Excel the spreadsheet software. Yes,
- 37:13Speaker 1: but it's an honest to goodness Excel Spreadsheet Software World Championships.
- 37:18Speaker 1: And I don't even know what to think anymore, because
- 37:20Speaker 1: when Dodgeball said it's sport, Dodgeball the movie said it's
- 37:24Speaker 1: sport was airing on esp and the OHO at least
- 37:26Speaker 1: that had a semblance of competition and sport and athleticism,
- 37:31Speaker 1: not realizing that at some point you'd be doing computer
- 37:33Speaker 1: software for a trophy.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, they have to give another sport for
- 37:38Speaker 3: Indian people. So it's the spelling Bee and now this one.
- 37:42Speaker 3: So you guys are welcome.
- 37:45Speaker 1: It's kind of like, well this is where we shine
- 37:46Speaker 1: type of a deal. Yeah yeah, oh, trade you find it.
- 37:56Speaker 2: I'm working on it, okay.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Yeah, So I I predict that it'll be one of
- 38:02Speaker 3: my people that will win the twenty twenty four Excel
- 38:06Speaker 3: Spreadshet Excel Championships.
- 38:09Speaker 1: All right, we shall see. But we missed it. I mean,
- 38:12Speaker 1: the OCHO programming was last weekend. It included fifty four
- 38:16Speaker 1: hours of unique obscure sports, including more than twenty one
- 38:20Speaker 1: hours of live content. So what were those events which
- 38:24Speaker 1: aired on ESPN, ESPN two and the OCHO streaming hub.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Here's what the days looked like. On Thursday, it was
- 38:32Speaker 1: Minor League Baseball, the Savannah Bananas versus the Party Animals, Yes,
- 38:37Speaker 1: which if you have not seen the Savannah Bananas, they're
- 38:40Speaker 1: actually pretty awesome because they will stop in the middle
- 38:42Speaker 1: of a game and just do dance videos and stuff
- 38:46Speaker 1: for their social media channels. Pretty funny trade you find it. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 38:51Speaker 1: there you go.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:53Speaker 2: So Micro Microsoft Excel World Championship.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Who do we know who the winner was?
- 39:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I just I just want to hear
- 39:03Speaker 2: the announcers. Oh my god, the formula came up.
- 39:06Speaker 1: With, oh, the function of Acts. Holy cow, no one
- 39:10Speaker 1: saw that coming. You had the twenty twenty four Corgi Races,
- 39:14Speaker 1: the World Dog Surfing Championships, Sasquatch Uncut, Beard and Mustache.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Oh okay, that's like Sasquatch soap sponsoring Beard and Mustache event.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Then you got speed Chess and the Microsoft ex Cell
- 39:31Speaker 1: World Championships. That's just one day. Here's some other things
- 39:34Speaker 1: that happened on ESPN. The OCHO on Friday, Red Bull
- 39:40Speaker 1: Game Ball Royale, Ultimate Ninja World Series Finales three, Rivers,
- 39:45Speaker 1: Waiter and Waitress Competition. Then you get the Beard Mustache Competition,
- 39:49Speaker 1: brought to you by Sasquatch. The twenty twenty two I
- 39:55Speaker 1: guess it was a classic Corunna Beltsander Races. They twenty
- 40:00Speaker 1: USA Mullet Championships. Oh, the forty six to Annual Cherry
- 40:04Speaker 1: Pit Spitting Championships. Okay, The twenty twenty three Wisconsin Aunctioneers Championship,
- 40:12Speaker 1: Competitive Speed Cubing, the International Jump Rope Union World Championships,
- 40:18Speaker 1: Blade Masters as a knife Throwing Yeah, twenty twenty four
- 40:23Speaker 1: Bull Shooter Invitational Shootout where I don't know if they're
- 40:26Speaker 1: actually shooting the bulls, in which case they're just taking
- 40:29Speaker 1: what Pamplona does and saying, well, America will raise you one. Yeah,
- 40:34Speaker 1: Omega Ball, the OCHO Show, but that's fun. The twenty
- 40:38Speaker 1: twenty four AWA Wiffle Ball All Star Game, which means
- 40:42Speaker 1: they have a regular season to have an All Star game.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Then there's the USA Dodgeball All Star Showcase, The Manscaped
- 40:49Speaker 1: Turf Wars Adult Kickball Championship, Table Tennis, Slippery Stairs, Cornhole League,
- 40:55Speaker 1: silver Back Breaking Invitational, which if you're trying to break
- 40:59Speaker 1: a silver back, I would watch that competition because my
- 41:02Speaker 1: money's then they air dodgeball, a true underdog story. That's
- 41:07Speaker 1: just all on Friday.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 41:09Speaker 2: But you know it is the Mullet Championship. Is that
- 41:12Speaker 2: like looks or is that the guy driving in his
- 41:15Speaker 2: eighty four Chevy pickup like being able to tosh the
- 41:18Speaker 2: bush like can speeding out of the truck into the
- 41:21Speaker 2: trash can like yeah, yeah, events? Or is it looks?
- 41:26Speaker 1: No, I understand that makes sense. Yeah?
- 41:28Speaker 6: Is it?
- 41:29Speaker 1: Is it purely look based or is there a skill
- 41:31Speaker 1: based uh function of it? Kind of like the uh
- 41:35Speaker 1: Miss America tournament where it's not just the bathing suit,
- 41:38Speaker 1: but they also have to talk to them.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Yes, uh, they have, they have they have different competitions, right,
- 41:45Speaker 3: so they have like a skills and like a swimsuit.
- 41:49Speaker 1: You know what. Actually some of these events sound like
- 41:52Speaker 1: events that would occur during the Mullet Championship. Uh. For example,
- 41:57Speaker 1: a ball clash, Battle of the Buoie two National Putting Tour,
- 42:04Speaker 1: the forehand Strike competition, yeah, uh, and then this one
- 42:09Speaker 1: certainly Ultimate Tire Wrestling, Yes, And the one I was
- 42:14Speaker 1: telling Raj about the other day the car Jujitsu Championship,
- 42:18Speaker 1: which airs on the Ojo. That's where people do jiu
- 42:22Speaker 1: jitsu in a car. I told Raj about this the
- 42:24Speaker 1: other day because Russia takes all these things to another level.
- 42:27Speaker 1: They do a car judo or car jiu jitsu, which
- 42:30Speaker 1: is two Russian dudes in in a hatchback wrestling, and
- 42:35Speaker 1: I think they amp it up by making him do
- 42:37Speaker 1: it inside of a Ford pinto, which you know could
- 42:40Speaker 1: explode at anytime.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Now.
- 42:41Speaker 3: In the mullet competition, is there like is there a
- 42:44Speaker 3: subdivision for like? Is it like, uh, the angry lesbian division?
- 42:49Speaker 3: Who wins? Because I've seen and and I I'm in Mesquite,
- 42:55Speaker 3: and let me just say, I have seen at Chili's
- 43:00Speaker 3: two very powerful lesbian mullets, So I just don't so
- 43:06Speaker 3: is it open to all genders and races or are
- 43:09Speaker 3: we going?
- 43:11Speaker 1: I would imagine is pretty progressive.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Okay, because there's an Indian guy at my last show
- 43:15Speaker 3: with them. He could have he could have won for
- 43:18Speaker 3: International Mullet.
- 43:19Speaker 2: I butt I I the lesbian one would be obviously
- 43:22Speaker 2: the Super Championships.
- 43:26Speaker 4: The winner gets a husky.
- 43:31Speaker 1: It really just sells itself.

- 45:22Speaker 1: guide you in the Treehouse Treehouse on air dot com,
- 45:25Speaker 1: thank you very much. There was a story that came
- 45:30Speaker 1: out a couple of weeks ago that I've neglected to
- 45:32Speaker 1: tell you, gentlemen, and I apologize for that because I
- 45:34Speaker 1: try to stay on top of the news. I try
- 45:36Speaker 1: to be as timely as we can, but since we
- 45:38Speaker 1: only record a couple of times a week, it can
- 45:40Speaker 1: be difficult to stay super current and on top of
- 45:43Speaker 1: the latest breaking news and information, right, But I do
- 45:46Speaker 1: my best. This, unfortunately, was one of those situations where
- 45:50Speaker 1: I failed you, so I apologize. And now that I
- 45:53Speaker 1: say that, now I can't find the photo I was
- 45:55Speaker 1: going to read to you, So hang on just a
- 45:56Speaker 1: moment because I got to pull it up because it
- 45:58Speaker 1: was something that my wife sent me a while back,
- 46:00Speaker 1: and it is truly alarming. So you guys know all
- 46:02Speaker 1: the issues that we have had at home and the islands,
- 46:05Speaker 1: with all the power issues, right well, it seems now
- 46:09Speaker 1: that the Water and Power Authority of the US Virgin
- 46:12Speaker 1: Islands is out for blood. They've had it with everyone complaining, ditching,
- 46:16Speaker 1: moaning about blackouts, doubled and tripled bills even though you
- 46:23Speaker 1: didn't have power for most of the month. Anyway, it
- 46:26Speaker 1: really is a huge cluster f in the Islands when
- 46:29Speaker 1: it comes to power generation. And I need to say
- 46:33Speaker 1: it again, I'm sorry or a cut for all the
- 46:37Speaker 1: terrible things I've said to you and about you with
- 46:40Speaker 1: your grid operation in Texas, because Texans could have it way,
- 46:45Speaker 1: way worse. If you're not sure, just come to the
- 46:47Speaker 1: Virgin Islands. That being said, it does appear that the
- 46:52Speaker 1: Water and Power Authority is out for blood. And the
- 46:54Speaker 1: example I have is thus, two weeks ago, a one
- 46:59Speaker 1: hundred year old This is from the Virgin Island Daily News. Okay,
- 47:03Speaker 1: a one hundred year old Saint Thomas Man was trapped
- 47:07Speaker 1: sitting upright in an electric bed after the Virgin Islands
- 47:12Speaker 1: Water and Power Authority abruptly cut off his power. His
- 47:19Speaker 1: daughter said, the centenarian was left to suffer for more
- 47:23Speaker 1: than six hours. This is terrible.
- 47:32Speaker 2: This is one of the worst.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Stories I've heard in a long time.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Oh, I wasn't ready for it.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Neither was he. There was only to be in there
- 47:43Speaker 1: for a few minutes, just therapies and get out, maybe
- 47:46Speaker 1: go outside and enjoy the enjoy the fresh salt air.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Maybe go to sibs for one. But he was stuck
- 47:56Speaker 1: in his electric chair because the Water and Power Authority
- 47:59Speaker 1: turned off his electricity.
- 48:01Speaker 3: His whole life, he's been waiting for technology to keep advancing.
- 48:05Speaker 3: He's like, I can't believe I live to see the
- 48:07Speaker 3: iPhone and then cut to I'm stuck in this.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Ef It troubles me to think that somewhere in the
- 48:15Speaker 1: Virgin Islands, where all these billionaires and millionaires have socked
- 48:18Speaker 1: money away, it wasn't just money. Like somewhere there's a lab,
- 48:22Speaker 1: probably in St. Thomas, where they keep the heads of
- 48:24Speaker 1: dead billionaires and part of the reason that they're sustained
- 48:28Speaker 1: is through electric power. Meanwhile, wapa's over there playing with
- 48:31Speaker 1: the switches. So if they put one of these heads
- 48:34Speaker 1: back on a body in a hundred years. Who knows
- 48:36Speaker 1: what we're gonna end up with.
- 48:39Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, so finish.
- 48:40Speaker 4: This was at the end of the story, because I.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Just that's the end of the story. Unfortunately, the Virgin
- 48:44Speaker 1: Island Daily News did not publish a follow up story.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I don't know if that man's still stuck in that bed.
- 48:53Speaker 2: He's probably been battling red tape for years to get
- 48:55Speaker 2: that electric hospital bed to make his life easier.
- 49:01Speaker 4: I just want to know.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Liked the power glitch and it just just pushed him forward.
- 49:06Speaker 3: So he was just like for six hours of staring
- 49:12Speaker 3: at his junk.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing, because it might be it might
- 49:17Speaker 1: be a six hour blackout. But really, with these rolling
- 49:19Speaker 1: blackouts in the Virgin Islands, sometimes they're intermittent and they
- 49:24Speaker 1: just kind of come out of nowhere. So he may
- 49:26Speaker 1: not have just been suspended in this electric chair for
- 49:29Speaker 1: six hours. It might have been jolting him on and
- 49:32Speaker 1: off in different positions for the entire six hours.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Power flips. Oh, finally goes hit the button.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Next thing you know, it looks like doctor Frankenstein. He's
- 49:42Speaker 1: shoving this dude up through the roof and he's being
- 49:44Speaker 1: hit by light. He left and right. But yeah, you
- 49:48Speaker 1: got that chair from from medicare.
- 49:51Speaker 3: It's just a power surgeon that shreats him straight up
- 49:54Speaker 3: the stairs faster than he's ever been in his life.
- 50:00Speaker 4: Five one hundred years and a power outage. Electric chair
- 50:03Speaker 4: kills you.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Well, because he keeps reviving. It really is one of
- 50:14Speaker 1: the cases that it really is one of the best
- 50:16Speaker 1: cases of careful what you wish for.
- 50:19Speaker 4: I wish this thing would move faster.
- 50:24Speaker 2: He's killing me.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Well, it keeps killing you, but it keeps bringing you back. Oh,
- 50:33Speaker 1: I live on an island this day, it's beautiful. The
- 50:38Speaker 1: good news is when he got shot through the roof,
- 50:40Speaker 1: he can see the beaches.
- 50:44Speaker 3: There's my boat.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Oh God, all right, thanks for hanging out with us
- 50:50Speaker 1: inside the treehouse. We appreciate it. Again. You like what
- 50:52Speaker 1: you heard, Send it to a friend, and if you didn't,
- 50:54Speaker 1: then I don't know what's wrong with you. But send
- 50:55Speaker 1: it to them anyway. I'm gonna try to find this
- 50:57Speaker 1: guy in Saint Thomas and send it to him. He'll
- 50:59Speaker 1: feel better. Oh, I'll see you next time in the treout.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Also send that to the oho.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's a new competent. Brazis brought to You
