- 0:01Speaker 1: episode or do I need to join the Patreon?
- 0:04Speaker 2: I think you.
- 0:06Speaker 3: I just remembered.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I still have a Patreon account that's been collecting dust.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Oh, but we should tell them about that.
- 0:15Speaker 2: The fact that this.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Week is a Patreon episode and if you, the rest
- 0:20Speaker 4: of you people, were cool, you would be supporting the
- 0:24Speaker 4: show and be kicking in like, I don't know, two
- 0:27Speaker 4: bucks and then you can go and listen to An
- 0:29Speaker 4: awesome episode where we say amazing things like this.
- 0:34Speaker 1: You want to come see my mannequin?
- 0:39Speaker 4: His stuff, in the grand scheme of all the things
- 0:42Speaker 4: he did, weren't all that great.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Especially the other movies. Like, the bulk of his movies that.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Got made after a certain period, it's not great. And
- 0:52Speaker 4: then it gets to, like, a lot of years of, like,
- 0:55Speaker 4: dealing with alcoholism and you know marriage falling apart and
- 0:59Speaker 4: like all the stuff that happens in every one.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Of these this week and behind the music behind the silent.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Film star.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Well, it depends. There's six of them, and I've seen four.
- 1:11Speaker 5: The second one is about a Syrian refugee who now
- 1:14Speaker 5: lives in Germany, but his dog, Zeus, is still back
- 1:18Speaker 5: in Syria.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Such a cool name for a dog.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Zeus.
- 1:21Speaker 5: And the episode is called Bravo, Zeus, because whenever he
- 1:25Speaker 5: does something good on the home videos, you hear everybody going.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Bravo, Zeus!
- 1:30Speaker 5: And he, like, He can't go back to Syria because
- 1:33Speaker 5: he would be drafted into the military, which is basically
- 1:35Speaker 5: a death sentence. So his best friend is living with
- 1:37Speaker 5: this dog and then his best friend gets drafted into
- 1:39Speaker 5: the military.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So like his best friend.
- 1:41Speaker 5: Goes into hiding and has this dog and they have
- 1:43Speaker 5: to figure out how to get the dog to him
- 1:45Speaker 5: in Germany.
- 1:45Speaker 6: It's like, it's like a giant family like event movie.
- 1:52Speaker 1: My mom is the same way with that movie.
- 1:53Speaker 3: That's so weird.
- 1:56Speaker 6: My mom has, she has four sisters and they all get,
- 1:59Speaker 6: you know, they're, pretty loud when they get together. And like,
- 2:02Speaker 6: it's just entertaining just to just not just watch, but
- 2:05Speaker 6: just to watch them watch.
- 2:06Speaker 3: The movie and like just literally scream.
- 2:09Speaker 6: And it's, it's very funny to me. So, uh, I
- 2:12Speaker 6: think I just watched that just to bring back funny
- 2:15Speaker 6: memories of seeing relatives, uh, screaming in a, in a
- 2:19Speaker 6: living room.
- 2:20Speaker 4: That I've seen a few of, but like they pull
- 2:23Speaker 4: some really weird stuff out and like almost industrial films.
- 2:27Speaker 3: He does, he does one for, Like the Canadian railway system?
- 2:32Speaker 5: Yeah, and that's what I think was unfortunate about it
- 2:34Speaker 5: because in the beginning it was kind of like, okay,
- 2:36Speaker 5: this could be promising because that scene with the mannequins.
- 2:39Speaker 1: First of all, I hate mannequins anyway.
- 2:40Speaker 7: Why?
- 2:41Speaker 3: I'm telling Kim Cattrall what you said. Who's got a
- 2:43Speaker 3: room full of mannequins?
- 2:43Speaker 1: I actually wrote, okay, so I took notes this time.
- 2:46Speaker 3: You haven't been in my back room, have you? Never mind,
- 2:49Speaker 3: never mind. Let's stay here.
- 2:50Speaker 5: My first bulletin was, well, I don't love those mannequins.
- 2:54Speaker 5: And then I said, little indent below, Herb Baumeister territory.
- 3:00Speaker 5: So now we're going to get a little serial killer lesson.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Have you guys heard of her bomb master?
- 3:05Speaker 4: To the point that she doesn't even bother to freak
- 3:07Speaker 4: out anymore. Like when she's walking in the house pissed off.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Like she just passes one like get out of the way.
- 3:13Speaker 3: She's like moving. I got to go kill an old lady.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Like she's just like. I'll deal with you later. I
- 3:18Speaker 3: ain't got time for you damn dead kids. Get out
- 3:20Speaker 3: of my way.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I feel like the.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Last time somebody did that originally in a movie would
- 3:25Speaker 5: probably be The Descent.
- 3:27Speaker 1: That was the last time where.
- 3:28Speaker 5: You could believably have someone randomly fall through the floor,
- 3:31Speaker 5: sustain a serious injury.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But this, it was just like, oh, great. Elliot broke
- 3:36Speaker 1: his goddamn ankle.
- 3:37Speaker 7: Way to go, Jesus.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Now we have to deal with this.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And then, can we talk about that climax moment, though?
- 3:46Speaker 2: The fact that you're really schooled on this serial killer
- 3:49Speaker 2: says a lot about you.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and my love of mannequins. So this guy... I
- 3:56Speaker 1: can do two bucks. It's not so bad.
- 3:59Speaker 3: It's half of what I paid for this cup of coffee.
- 4:02Speaker 7: This cup of coffee.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Gladly. From Heine Brothers, which all of you should go
- 4:07Speaker 4: and support.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Get some coffee.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Coffee and recording this show that's all you need just
- 4:15Speaker 2: like go get coffee and kick in you know two
- 4:18Speaker 2: bucks and i'm thinking of like cool stuff we can
- 4:21Speaker 2: make we need some more like i'll put some extra
- 4:23Speaker 2: tears i've got a specific thing i want to make
- 4:26Speaker 2: except all these other things i've made in the past
- 4:28Speaker 2: nobody cares about so.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I really don't need to keep like stockpiling.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Like tubs worth of meltdown merchandise that no one else
- 4:35Speaker 2: cares about but i probably will anyway so Yeah, we
- 4:40Speaker 2: can work on that. We can get you cool gifts
- 4:42Speaker 2: for being part of the club. Not everybody gets to
- 4:45Speaker 2: be a Melketeer, so if you're cool enough to be
- 4:48Speaker 2: in the Melketeer Horror Club, we'll come up with something.
- 4:53Speaker 2: So anyway, go to MovieMeltdown.com, support the show, become a Melketeer.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Damn them, man.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Save the Meltdown.

- 5:12Speaker 7: Get up everybody and sing. We are family. We are family.
- 5:25Speaker 7: Get up everybody and sing. Everyone can see we're together
- 5:34Speaker 7: as we walk.
