A wild high-speed chase erupted near Lloydminster on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border, as police pursued a suspected impaired driver who refused to stop. After dodging stops and narrowly avoiding spike strips, officers resorted to a tactical vehicle contact — which included a collision with a police cruiser — to end the pursuit safely without injury. The 25-year-old suspect from Medicine Hat was arrested and faces serious charges including dangerous driving, fleeing police, refusing lawful demands, and assaulting an officer with a weapon.
