- Sue: second. How are ya? How are you? How are you? This phrase has become a greeting with us all, hasn't it? A question that implies compassion and interest in the person of whom it's being projected upon. I know for myself my whole life I've been greeting people who I encounter with that question. And I'm really trying hard to break that habit because I now from a spiritual side of it understand that it's a blatant energy siphon. We've all encountered people during the course of our lifetime that when they reply to how are you give you the litany and list of all the things that are ailing them. And we and we learn the lesson, don't we? Not to ask that person how are you again? Because maybe we're too busy to be engaged in listening to Their situations. Maybe we're also brought down. ⁓ God, I feel so badly for them. They're going through so much. But the energy siphon aspect isn't something that we all think about. And I'm asking today if you would consider rethinking it, not asking how are you when you encounter someone. The reason, from my view, spiritually, the energy siphon of how are you is so commonly accepted as a greeting, particularly with those persons that you encounter. That you'll have a connection with. Because we've been trained that that is a way to feel and express our compassion. And so from my perspective and approaching it from a spiritual side, my view can be interpreted as being rude because I choose not to engage or show compassion in this way. Well that's ridiculous. If you want to show compassion towards somebody, observe them for a second. Base your greeting upon what you're observing. And that's exactly what we're told not to do. It's considered rude to be personal, isn't it? And yet that's exactly what we're told. we're doing when we're asking someone how they are. It's none of our business from a spiritual side because it's not about being rude, it's about understanding. When you get into a place in your life where you ask questions like that, out of habit, out of this is what we do. You've confirmation with a blue jay. You've opened up the potential for a dark energy to come in ever so slightly, ever so quickly, without noticing, because we're all experiencing that same vibe. And whether or not you acknowledge that dark energy flowing through you, you're being used as a vessel to transport something dark to that person, so a dark negative projection. I don't know that dark and white is the right terminology, but energy that is not positive, it's not healthy, it's not good. Becomes a question, well, in the process of retraining myself, not to ask how are you, what do I replace it with? It becomes equally compassionate, truly compassionate, empathetic. And this goes back to the observation of what this person appears to you. When in doubt, if you don't feel comfortable commenting about ⁓ their appearance because, you know, and certainly in a business situation it's not appropriate to draw attention to others. I say, It's lovely to see you. I'm glad I ran into you. I'm grateful that we bumped into one another. And then you can go on to explain what it is that makes you feel grateful about that. And have a much more meaningful, compassionate, engaging interaction, however brief that may be. I understand that from the perspective of a I understand that from the perspective of someone who is Used to doing this and is unable to immediately change their view on this, that my view would be considered insulting. Well, I don't put any emotions into anything, so I don't I wouldn't take it as an insult, nor would I believe that it is an insult. But I'm in a different place of my spiritual beliefs. The reason why I mention this and repeatedly mention it in various blog posts that I know I don't you don't need to go through my previous post to learn more. It's about just having a more compassionate view. To people and seeing them and being aware. And that's where the engagement of exchange of good energy happens. All you're doing by not asking how are you is protecting your spiritual self and the other soul. You are simply expressing a deeper level of compassion because you're observing that person, you are taking their energy in to you, sharing it back with them in a manner that gives them the I've been seeing. Not just a cursory acknowledgement of hello, how are How's your day going? That's flat. That has no depth of heart at all. When you show compassion by being aware that the well-worn phrases that we use to greet and speak to one another to open a conversation are actually the opportunities to allow unwanted negative energies to come into our energy without permission. Well, you just gave them permission, didn't you? You invited those dark energies in with that simple question of how are you? Rather Then I'm so glad to see you. Puts a smile on my face to see you. Do you see this difference in the spiritual perspective here? Is that I'm all about not allowing through habits and traditions to have that negative energy lurk around and persist. I'm no longer interested in having dark energies invited into my energy to lurk around and cause havoc. I certainly wouldn't want to wish that on somebody that I'm compassionate and empathetic towards. Would you? No, you wouldn't. Take a few moments before you speak. Observe the person that you wish engaged in conversation. And even if it's just a I'm grateful to see you, rather than how are you? What you've done there is you've not only expressed gratitude and abundance for this event, but you've also kept your spiritual protection bubble. And you've also guarded them. It's not your job to protect them, but that's a side effect of it. And that's a good thing. We all want to do the good thing, don't we? I do. Thanks for taking this in and sharing your energy and understand that collectively we We are in this universe together and sometimes we all have to have an understanding that we all need to protect our spiritual vibe and keep it up. Thank you. And here's a PS, a postscript. I used to play gigs with a musician who would respond when somebody said to them. Have a nice day He would say, in a false anger, Don't tell me what to do And it's that same vibe, isn't it? Thanks again. I appreciate your listening.
