You know, we're supposed to redeem the

time. Why? Scripture says because the

days are evil. There is so much evil in

the world. That's why Proverbs 4:2

says, "Let your eyes look directly

forward and your gaze be straight before

you." We're supposed to keep our eyes on

him. We're supposed to keep our eyes on

the prize. We're supposed to keep our

eyes on the plow that our hand is also

on so that we can go down the course

that the Holy Spirit is leading us. But

if we're always looking back, if we're

always looking side to side, then we are

We're distracted. So distraction is

demonic when it's strategic. I mean,

there are just literal legitimate

distractions in life that have nothing

to do with the enemy. But the enemy uses

distractions strategically.

He doesn't just want to slow you down.

He wants to lure you into wasting time,

wasting energy, wasting spiritual

capital that God gave you for your

assignment. How does he do this? Well, a

number of ways. And some of you could

probably tick off uh 10 or 15 ways that

the enemy distracts you. And if you

can't, then that means you're not

discerning it. Here, here's some of the

ways that the enemy distracts us. people

problems that provoke uh emotional

entanglement or frustration or even

anger. We talked a lot about that in my

Then there's false opportunities that

pull you out of God's timing. It looks

good. It's a bright shiny object. It

appears sometimes as an answer to prayer

except it's not. It's a distraction.

Then of course there's media devices,

trivial pursuits that drain your focus.

Maybe it's time to put that phone away.

There's crises that aren't yours to fix.

Have you ever been designated

the firemen among your core friend

group? Everybody's got a problem. They

run to you. It's a fire. It's a crisis.

It's not your crisis. It's their crisis.

And sometimes it is your crisis.

And then there's busyness. that looks

like productivity, but it yields no

fruit. You You worked all day, but you

don't really have anything to show for

it. Can't even tell me what you did.

Distractions. Distractions are often

subtle and they can be spiritual and

they can be satanic by design. So, why

why is this dangerous? Why is this such

a problem? Well, distraction, it's not

harmless. It's it listen, it's

directional warfare.

directional warfare. The enemy is trying

to get you to look over here when God

said look over there or to go this way

when God said go that way. And he

arranges circumstances like we just

spoke about in order to get you off the

right path. Sometimes what feels like a

minor detour becomes a major delay. Have

think that it's just answering these few

emails because you've got a space of

time and when you get in your email box,

well, there's the fire, there's the

distraction, there's the attack, and

then you go down the rabbit hole.

Sometimes what feels like this minor

detour, it becomes a major delay. It

cost you more than you realize. lost

revelation, missed doors, emotional

exhaustion, spiritual dullness, divine

appointments forfeited.

This is why Paul warned in 2 Corinthians

But I fear, lest by any means your mind

should be corrupted from the simplicity

that is in Christ. We need to keep

things simple. The enemy wants to

complicate it. When your mind is

diverted, your movement is delayed. And

looking to be busy. We want to be

fruitful. We want to bear fruit that

remains for your kingdom. So help us,

Lord, to escape those patterns. Help us

to see it, to shut it, to move away from

it, and repattern ourselves for

fruitfulness in the name of Jesus. We

The shoes of peace are on our feet. We

Help us, Jesus. We receive now wisdom.

discernment to know what is from you,

God, and what is just our own good idea

and what is a demonic enticement, a

temptation to take us off the narrow

Jesus. We bind emotional distractions

No more drama. We take authority over

these demons that bring drama. They stir

drama through people or in our soul. And

that causes us to miss opportunities. We

have this sense of false guilt. We

As a matter of fact, we will walk in

of avoiding purpose in Jesus name. We

It's a distraction and we speak clarity

over every confused area of our life. We
