- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop, and
- 0:23let's start your day off in a fantastic way, everybody.
- 0:27Good morning from the Chicken Coop.
- 0:30Yeah. You know, I coach lots of
- 0:32different types of people and lots of different types of
- 0:34situations. And that's the bonus of being in
- 0:37the business that I'm in. You get to have a variety of
- 0:39people that you work with. There's one thing that's it's
- 0:43incredibly common across the board, and it doesn't matter how
- 0:46old you are. It doesn't matter what you do
- 0:49for a living, but it's definitely prevalent.
- 0:54So can you guess what it might be?
- 0:56What is it that all these people, including myself,
- 1:00sometimes suffer from? Got you thinking, don't I?
- 1:05But here's the thing, it's you're probably not going to
- 1:08believe it when I tell you, but it's always the same thing of
- 1:11wondering what are other people going to think?
- 1:15And it never ceases to amaze me how that shows up.
- 1:20Now, most of the time in my life, I do not suffer from this.
- 1:23I just generally don't have a, a situation where that comes up
- 1:28from me. I kind of am like, I don't
- 1:30really care. Like when it comes to what I'm
- 1:32doing here in the chicken coop or in the garden or anything
- 1:36else. Sometimes I just don't care what
- 1:38other people think. But when there are things, there
- 1:42are sensitivities that I say, huh, I wonder what other people
- 1:46are going to think about that or if they're going to say
- 1:49something about that. And a lot of these things link
- 1:52back to childhood, but a lot of them don't.
- 1:55A lot of them are just like our own insecurities.
- 1:57So for me, I can tell you one of those insecurities has often
- 2:01come in about clothes. I, I know everybody thinks most
- 2:06women are just so into clothes and I'm not into clothes.
- 2:09I just like to wear loose comfortable clothes.
- 2:13I like to hang out. I, I just am not someone who is
- 2:17really into it. When I was younger, I used to
- 2:19try, I would go and get things and then I just never felt
- 2:23comfortable in them. I, I actually felt goofy in
- 2:26them. And I remember when I was very
- 2:29little, my mother would always want to put me in a dress and
- 2:31I'd be like, I don't want to wear a dress.
- 2:33I'm more comfortable in jeans, shorts like Jean shorts on tank
- 2:38tops, flip flops, sneakers, hiking boots, you name it.
- 2:41Something like that, but not fancy clothes.
- 2:44I'm just not into it. It's just not my jam.
- 2:47Even when I worked on the road for years for Tony Robbins, it
- 2:50was always just simple black pants and a black long sleeve
- 2:54shirt. Black tank tops, black
- 2:56sleeveless shirts. But but I just never got into
- 3:00it, never got into the jewelry, never got into doing all these
- 3:04crazy things. I mean, other than the 80s with
- 3:07hair that was like ridiculous. But besides that, and I just
- 3:11didn't do it. And I feel like there's a
- 3:14sensitivity around that because people will say something about
- 3:18my clothes. And I've heard it many times
- 3:20from people. They've made comments about my
- 3:22clothes. I even had a speaker once from
- 3:24stage say he was saying thank you to me, which was what's so
- 3:28funny for running a room and making him, you know, have a
- 3:32successful room at the back with the sales table.
- 3:34And he said he that he wanted to thank Kim Baggy Pants Johnson,
- 3:40which I was appalled by that he would say something like that
- 3:44because it was sensitivity for me.
- 3:46And we all have them. Recently had someone say to me
- 3:50that they didn't want to go out with somebody because they were
- 3:53afraid of what other people might think.
- 3:55And that's so sad because the person that they were talking
- 3:58about is a good person. So what are we going to wonder
- 4:03about that? Why would we do that to
- 4:04ourselves? I had somebody else recently
- 4:06say, well, I don't want to start a business like that because I
- 4:09feel like if I do, people are going to think I'm being foolish
- 4:12and petty. And this list could go on and on
- 4:16and on. And that's why we have to look
- 4:20at it within ourselves. So I truly don't care.
- 4:24That's why I am putting videos up the way I'm putting videos
- 4:27up. You see me just as I am.
- 4:29I don't run around with makeup on.
- 4:31I don't run around with my hair done.
- 4:33I don't run around in fancy clothes.
- 4:35I'm on a farm for crying out loud.
- 4:38So you have to ask yourself, where does this show up in my
- 4:42life and what is it holding me back from?
- 4:44That's the most important thing. What is this belief holding me
- 4:48back from and what is it allowing me to believe?
- 4:52That's just ridiculous. So you know, somebody says to
- 4:56me, well, I it's so cool you have a green thumb.
- 4:58I don't have a green thumb. But maybe you're just trying to
- 5:00grow the wrong plants. Maybe you just need to see
- 5:02something else in yourself. Maybe you need to try something
- 5:06different. Whatever it may be, whatever it
- 5:08is, my friends challenge that. What is this belief holding me
- 5:12back from? Because I promise you, you will
- 5:14find something good on the other side.
- 5:17All right, everybody, I am off to water some plants and I will
- 5:21see you all tomorrow. Have a blessed day.
- 5:24Bye.
