- 0:00Speaker 1: Kyle Unfug, what do we need to know today? I
- 0:03Speaker 1: started seeing like videos of Paris on fire and I
- 0:07Speaker 1: didn't know if it was like AI or what was
- 0:09Speaker 1: going on because they were like videos of these historic
- 0:14Speaker 1: buildings that lasted through two world wars and are now
- 0:17Speaker 1: being totally and completely burnt down. And it wasn't AI.
- 0:22Speaker 1: There are riots in Paris. They're dealing with massive unrest
- 0:25Speaker 1: right now. Protesters have blocked the Louvre from opening. What started,
- 0:30Speaker 1: I guess, as students protesting over school conditions has now
- 0:33Speaker 1: just turned into riots, fueled by frustration over the cost
- 0:36Speaker 1: of living with reports of fires looting. I mean... The
- 0:39Speaker 1: videos of like the Christian Dior store, like all of
- 0:42Speaker 1: these really expensive, crazy Paris shopping areas are like completely
- 0:48Speaker 1: ruined right now. Completely ruined. There's over half a million
- 0:53Speaker 1: people protesting. Half a million? Yeah. And so it's caused
- 0:57Speaker 1: a lot of damage. And so now the Paris, the
- 1:00Speaker 1: France government is going to have to deal with all
- 1:02Speaker 1: of this and figure out how they can fix the situation.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You know what I heard? I heard. So like all
- 1:06Speaker 1: this is going on. Right. And then like the president
- 1:08Speaker 1: of France was at a Celine Dion concert. Yeah. Oh,
- 1:11Speaker 1: that's not good. Don't you think you should leave the concert?
- 1:13Speaker 1: You should probably leave and figure out. Yeah. At the time,
- 1:16Speaker 1: maybe just didn't know how bad it was getting. But yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 1: they were taking twenty three hundred people into custody. Like
- 1:21Speaker 1: I said, tons and tons of damage. And now the
- 1:23Speaker 1: French government is actually considering like a curfew, like a countrywide.
- 1:28Speaker 1: You probably need it because there's so much like that.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Some of the it looks like they burned down castles,
- 1:34Speaker 1: those beautiful homes. Like I said, his. Hello. Hello. I mean,
- 1:43Speaker 1: historic buildings that literally, I mean, they lasted through world wars,
- 1:46Speaker 1: but not this right. Yeah. This is also really sad.
- 1:49Speaker 1: A military tribute at a college football game in Texas
- 1:51Speaker 1: went terribly wrong over the weekend. Four Air Force members
- 1:54Speaker 1: were supposed to rappel down from the ceiling of the
- 1:56Speaker 1: Alamo Dome before the UTSA Navy game. But then one
- 2:00Speaker 1: of them fell like 170 feet. They rushed into the
- 2:02Speaker 1: hospital and sadly died. He did not make it. And
- 2:05Speaker 1: now they're going and investigating, trying to figure out exactly
- 2:07Speaker 1: what happened, what went wrong, because this person obviously knew
- 2:10Speaker 1: how to repel. So yeah, just absolutely a tragic event there.
- 2:15Speaker 1: On a little bit of a brighter note, there is
- 2:17Speaker 1: so much money in tech right now that these billionaires
- 2:20Speaker 1: and billion dollar companies are just talking about giving away.
- 2:22Speaker 1: They want to give away some money. So Elon Musk,
- 2:24Speaker 1: he says he wants to give every American child a
- 2:27Speaker 1: share of SpaceX stock next year. And that could definitely
- 2:32Speaker 1: be worth a lot of money. Yeah, like kids won't
- 2:34Speaker 1: know what stock is, but as. SpaceX grows, they'll have
- 2:37Speaker 1: a little piece of it along the way. And then
- 2:40Speaker 1: the company behind the AI chatbot, Claude, is now setting
- 2:44Speaker 1: aside 5% of its shares for a fund that they
- 2:47Speaker 1: say could eventually be worth tens of billions of dollars.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And that fund is specifically to go towards charities, scientific research,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and helping people who lose their jobs to AI. Of course,
- 2:59Speaker 1: there's still a lot of details that they have to
- 3:00Speaker 1: work out, but these are some pretty massive promises that
- 3:03Speaker 1: they're making and just kind of shows you how much
- 3:06Speaker 1: money is in tech right now? Like, yeah, tens of
- 3:08Speaker 1: billions of dollars. Just give it away. Okay. Now we
- 3:11Speaker 1: know how much you make. The Cardinals had an absolutely
- 3:15Speaker 1: insane game against the Rams yesterday. I don't know if
- 3:17Speaker 1: you guys saw this, but they didn't score a single touchdown,
- 3:19Speaker 1: but they pulled off the upstate, beat the Rams. Every
- 3:22Speaker 1: one of our 18 points came from our kicker. Chad
- 3:29Speaker 1: Ryland scored six field goals, including the game winner in
- 3:33Speaker 1: the last 10 seconds. It was a pretty exciting game. Oh,
- 3:36Speaker 1: my gosh. I'm sure he went home feeling like that guy.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You literally carried everyone on your back. Thank you for that.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Way to go, Chad. Way to go, Cardinals. It was
- 3:45Speaker 1: pretty exciting to watch. Also, Arizona, our state, could be
- 3:49Speaker 1: getting a fourth national park. It's a place that a
- 3:52Speaker 1: lot of us probably haven't even visited. There is legislation
- 3:55Speaker 1: apparently on the president's desk to turn... Chiricahua National Monument
- 4:00Speaker 1: in southeastern Arizona into a national park, joining the Grand Canyon, Saguaro,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and Petrified Forest. It's known for these incredible towering rock formations,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and the proposal could bring a lot more tourists to
- 4:12Speaker 1: our state, which could be pretty awesome. What is it now?
- 4:15Speaker 1: It's just a national monument. This is just a park.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Just a neighborhood. Now it's going to be a national park. Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 1: That'd be pretty cool for the state to get more
- 4:24Speaker 1: people in, and that's what you need to know.
