- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey, y'all, welcome to the almost Famous podcast. We're back
- 0:10Speaker 2: of Paradise is back. It feels like it's been a
- 0:12Speaker 2: long time since I've seen Ben. I told him to
- 0:15Speaker 2: save all his thoughts on this new season of Paradise,
- 0:19Speaker 2: which to remind everyone if it didn't, if it wasn't
- 0:23Speaker 2: latantly obvious to you when you're watching this episode, this
- 0:27Speaker 2: is a whole new production team.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Well, I think it brings in a few things. One,
- 0:32Speaker 3: I didn't feel like your intros was representing the excited
- 0:37Speaker 3: energy that you and I have towards the start of
- 0:39Speaker 3: a new season of something. But I think the main
- 0:45Speaker 3: point that you just made is super important. It showed
- 0:48Speaker 3: you know, we've talked for months now about Hey, the
- 0:52Speaker 3: production team has gotten fired and nobody that we know
- 0:55Speaker 3: still works there. And I think people maybe from the
- 0:58Speaker 3: outside heard that as a playing as a concern or whatever.
- 1:02Speaker 3: But I think watching this episode represents how much a
- 1:05Speaker 3: production team actually has when it comes to how the
- 1:10Speaker 3: show is seen. Like they have a lot of influence.
- 1:13Speaker 3: It is incredibly important, and different productions teams will have
- 1:18Speaker 3: different aspects and this New One took a totally different
- 1:22Speaker 3: route when it comes to Bachelor in Paradise.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It was so stylized and modernized. And I am not
- 1:30Speaker 2: somebody who watches Love Island. I know it is the
- 1:33Speaker 2: biggest show out there right now, so I can't even compare.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Although now I feel like, for research sake, I feel
- 1:40Speaker 2: like I have to watch Love Island because it's their
- 1:43Speaker 2: main competition. It's come and it's swooped up what they
- 1:48Speaker 2: had maybe like originated in some sense, and I just
- 1:53Speaker 2: felt like when I watched the first fifteen minutes especially,
- 1:57Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, they're trying to be
- 1:59Speaker 2: Love Island. Now, I say this not know and Love
- 2:02Speaker 2: Island very well right, but it's just stylized edited so
- 2:06Speaker 2: much differently. One of the big things that stood out
- 2:09Speaker 2: to me was that we're talking to the barrel the
- 2:13Speaker 2: lens of the camera. We are not talking to a producer,
- 2:17Speaker 2: our eyes are. They're talking directly to the audience.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And we can't be hypocritical. We wanted the aspect of
- 2:26Speaker 3: less production. However, watching this episode, I think we need
- 2:33Speaker 3: to start this episode with some of our complaints and
- 2:36Speaker 3: then end with some of the things that we were
- 2:38Speaker 3: really in favor of and we really enjoyed because there
- 2:40Speaker 3: were those elements as well. For sure, I think personally,
- 2:46Speaker 3: Bachelor in Paradise's secret sauce was that old style kind
- 2:51Speaker 3: of TV. You watched it and it made you feel
- 2:55Speaker 3: like it hasn't changed in ten years. It was the
- 2:58Speaker 3: Bachelor type TV. It was less produced in a lot
- 3:06Speaker 3: of ways because it was hidden cameras. It wasn't the
- 3:08Speaker 3: highest quality camera. There wasn't like the clip art snapshots
- 3:13Speaker 3: coming in. This did take the Love Island vibe, which
- 3:17Speaker 3: I think is an attempt to modernize Bachelor in Paradise. However,
- 3:22Speaker 3: I don't know if Bachelor in Paradise is at a
- 3:24Speaker 3: place to compete with Love Island. I think Bachelor in
- 3:27Speaker 3: Paradise had its own special sauce that Love Island could
- 3:31Speaker 3: never have, and that's why Love Island didn't go with
- 3:33Speaker 3: the Bachelor in Paradise vibe. They went with their own vibe,
- 3:36Speaker 3: and I think the two can coexist. However, now Bachelor
- 3:41Speaker 3: of Paradise is throwing themselves in that Love Island bucket,
- 3:44Speaker 3: and you and I both said we want this less produced.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I don't know if this was less produced. I actually
- 3:49Speaker 3: think it was more produced, even with the in camera
- 3:55Speaker 3: talking than previous seasons.
- 3:58Speaker 2: They wanted to come across is like slick and to me,
- 4:05Speaker 2: so Love Island is trashy, right, Like, It's like it's
- 4:09Speaker 2: got a lot more edge, it has a lot more
- 4:11Speaker 2: raunch to it, and I think with Paradise, it was
- 4:14Speaker 2: still that Bachelor foundational show where it was like love
- 4:19Speaker 2: and it wasn't supposed to be shocking. It was supposed
- 4:23Speaker 2: to be a little grittier than Paradise, right, but there
- 4:25Speaker 2: was supposed to be like a much shock value to it.
- 4:28Speaker 2: And while there weren't a ton of raunchy comments, they
- 4:32Speaker 2: definitely wanted to come across as like it felt like
- 4:36Speaker 2: more of like an MTV dating show where it's like
- 4:39Speaker 2: I'm so and so, and like I'm a bit dip
- 4:42Speaker 2: dipper with my face, like flashing different angles in my face,
- 4:46Speaker 2: like in front of the description of myself. It just
- 4:49Speaker 2: it didn't feel as comfy and warm as Paradise usually feels.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And yeah, holy moly, with the HD camera, right, it
- 4:56Speaker 2: looks gorgeous.
- 4:58Speaker 3: It looks gorgeous.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah, It's just it's just not homey feeling. And a
- 5:02Speaker 2: lot of that has to do with location change too.
- 5:05Speaker 2: The resort vibe is going to give more of that sleek,
- 5:07Speaker 2: modern feel than glamping.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Okay, so the first comment is out of the way.
- 5:14Speaker 3: When it comes to not a criticism, I think, you know,
- 5:17Speaker 3: old school transition. I think what the transition. My concern is,
- 5:22Speaker 3: can Love Island and Bachelor in Paradise coexist with the
- 5:25Speaker 3: same kind of vibe. I feel like Bachelor Paradise should
- 5:28Speaker 3: have never taken on Love Island, and Love Island should
- 5:31Speaker 3: have never taken on Bachelor in Paradise. They would have
- 5:34Speaker 3: better co existed with the original format. That's my take.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I might be wrong. The second thing actually that I
- 5:42Speaker 3: want to talk to you about that could turn into
- 5:43Speaker 3: a criticism could not. But you've been there, you found love.
- 5:48Speaker 3: There is the resort and the venue change. To me,
- 5:54Speaker 3: it was harder to follow where people were at on
- 5:59Speaker 3: the premises and where people were intermingling and not intermingling
- 6:03Speaker 3: because of this new you know venue. However, I understand
- 6:10Speaker 3: that I need to get used to the new venue.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I will learn it over time, and so this could
- 6:14Speaker 3: just be me not understanding it yet. However, this episode
- 6:18Speaker 3: was harder for me to follow, not harder for me
- 6:20Speaker 3: to watch harder for me to follow because of the
- 6:24Speaker 3: new venue.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It was harder, how so was it harder for you
- 6:28Speaker 2: to follow or where you just felt like, to me,
- 6:31Speaker 2: the venue feels like a date venue. And yes, this
- 6:35Speaker 2: is all because we're comparing it to nine previous years.
- 6:38Speaker 2: But like when Justin was like, Wow, I'm really glad
- 6:42Speaker 2: that we're on a date now. You know it took
- 6:44Speaker 2: a while, but I'm glad that we can have this time.
- 6:46Speaker 2: And then even there was another conversation where Alex was
- 6:49Speaker 2: saying to Jonathan, so, how would being on a date
- 6:53Speaker 2: with me be different than what we're doing right now?
- 6:55Speaker 2: And that's kind of what it felt like during Bachelor
- 6:58Speaker 2: in Paradise. Previously, getting out of play Escandida was like
- 7:03Speaker 2: a treat, and now right now they just feel like
- 7:06Speaker 2: they're already on kind of like a day, like there's
- 7:09Speaker 2: no there's there's not much to be had. Different.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was just hard because of it
- 7:16Speaker 3: felt like a cocktail party where there was different like
- 7:19Speaker 3: seat segments and so unlike before where you'd have to
- 7:23Speaker 3: have a couple sitting on a sunbed next to another
- 7:27Speaker 3: couple on a sunbed, now it felt like everybody could
- 7:30Speaker 3: spread out, yeah, in a very comfortable setting. I haven't
- 7:37Speaker 3: seen the places where people can lounge I loved. I
- 7:41Speaker 3: don't know why. I just noticed this during like this
- 7:43Speaker 3: episode during Bachelor and Paradise previously, I've loved those sunbeds
- 7:48Speaker 3: where people can like almost lay out and nap. It
- 7:51Speaker 3: felt like this was very RESORTI where it's like we're
- 7:53Speaker 3: gonna sit in two separate chairs side by side, or
- 7:56Speaker 3: on a couch sitting straight up.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Because they could nap in their own rooms. It was
- 8:00Speaker 2: even jarring to hear when there was a thunderstorm that
- 8:03Speaker 2: people had to go to their separate rooms because I'm
- 8:06Speaker 2: assuming that there's no cameras in the bedroom, so if
- 8:08Speaker 2: they can't be outside in the common area, then they
- 8:11Speaker 2: just have to go be alone.
- 8:13Speaker 3: What would happen in bachelom Paradise previously when there was
- 8:17Speaker 3: a thunderstorm.
- 8:18Speaker 2: We would go to the treehouse, which was the lounge
- 8:20Speaker 2: room in the bedroom area. There was like a common
- 8:26Speaker 2: area over on that side, and I always thought it
- 8:29Speaker 2: was weird that they usually didn't use the cameras during
- 8:33Speaker 2: that time. It was like low key shelter together time.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But I don't know. There must be some reason for
- 8:41Speaker 2: them not to have the camera equipment out.
- 8:44Speaker 3: The final thing that got brought up via our social
- 8:47Speaker 3: media when it comes to criticisms of this episode before
- 8:52Speaker 3: we get into the breakdown of the episode, which we'll
- 8:54Speaker 3: run through for everybody. This won't be a four hour
- 8:57Speaker 3: podcast like this episode was. Was the Dale Moss love.
- 9:03Speaker 3: There's a lot of Dale Moss love, especially on his entrance.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Ashley thoughts on the Dale Moss love warranted, unwarranted? How
- 9:13Speaker 3: will Bachelor Nation in a sense the majority respond?
- 9:18Speaker 2: So I put myself into the girl's shoes because as
- 9:22Speaker 2: an outsider and as a fan, I was like, maybe
- 9:28Speaker 2: I'm speaking without really knowing Dale, but I've been very
- 9:31Speaker 2: team Claire and all of that, and I always thought
- 9:35Speaker 2: that Dale gave off this ultra polished here for the
- 9:38Speaker 2: fame type vibe, and it was strange to see him
- 9:43Speaker 2: regarded as some sort of fan favorite, which I don't
- 9:46Speaker 2: think he's ever been. And then I put myself in
- 9:50Speaker 2: the girl's shoes and I did feel what Kat felt,
- 9:53Speaker 2: which it was like, Holy, an adult male just showed up,
- 9:57Speaker 2: because a lot of the guys do give off boyish entergy,
- 10:01Speaker 2: but his reputation, if I were there, would have been
- 10:05Speaker 2: more so what I was thinking about. But I totally
- 10:08Speaker 2: understand how dashing he is.
- 10:11Speaker 3: He's a very handsome man. Yeah, perfect smile. But it
- 10:16Speaker 3: felt like the show really played it up more than
- 10:19Speaker 3: they did with even like Justin, who could have easily
- 10:22Speaker 3: had that same kind of edit. It felt like the
- 10:25Speaker 3: show was really playing up that Dale was there.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Well, that's because he was their all star. He was
- 10:30Speaker 2: their A lister. He's the one that people will remember
- 10:33Speaker 2: even if they haven't watched the show in a few years.
- 10:35Speaker 2: He more than Justin I think. So. Yeah, I think
- 10:39Speaker 2: Justin is really fun TV, but I don't think that
- 10:43Speaker 2: he's I'm sorry, Justin, I love you, But like I
- 10:47Speaker 2: think he's more of like a B lister when it
- 10:49Speaker 2: comes to Bachelor Nation, and I think Dale Teeter's on
- 10:53Speaker 2: the A list.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Well, that's the breakdown of anything sort of a criticism, Ashley.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Let's run through this episode. I am going to kind
- 11:03Speaker 3: of lead it because I want to hear your thoughts
- 11:05Speaker 3: and opinions because you have been there. I haven't, and
- 11:09Speaker 3: so my opinions come from strictly a viewer's standpoint. We've
- 11:13Speaker 3: got to change. At the opening of the show, we've
- 11:16Speaker 3: kind of mentioned it. I actually personally really enjoyed how
- 11:21Speaker 3: this show opened and how the cast was announced. I
- 11:25Speaker 3: don't think it gave a great background for us in
- 11:28Speaker 3: terms of knowing this cast, because I don't think we
- 11:31Speaker 3: know a lot of these people from this cast well.
- 11:33Speaker 3: But I did like the visual effects, the kind of
- 11:37Speaker 3: new arrivals. But I do fully miss the host of
- 11:42Speaker 3: the show. That was like their only job when it
- 11:45Speaker 3: comes to paradise. Why is there a host outside of
- 11:47Speaker 3: Wells if they're not going to introduce people to the beach.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yeah, we missed the whole long walk down to the sand.
- 11:56Speaker 2: That arrival moment was missed.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Do you miss it? Yeah, when you say you miss it,
- 12:01Speaker 3: you actually miss it? Or is it good to have gone?
- 12:06Speaker 2: I don't know. It's just like it's classic. I miss it,
- 12:10Speaker 2: but it's not like but it wasn't one of the
- 12:12Speaker 2: things that I thought of. I thought, Oh, this is
- 12:16Speaker 2: a weird, cheesy opening that seems try hard and doesn't
- 12:21Speaker 2: seem like us. I actually didn't think, oh, wow, I
- 12:26Speaker 2: missed the walk down the paradise until you just said it.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a different vibe. I didn't hate it. I
- 12:33Speaker 3: didn't hate it. I do miss the host of the show,
- 12:36Speaker 3: welcoming people to the beach, catching up with him for
- 12:39Speaker 3: a second, Where have you been? What's love been like?
- 12:42Speaker 3: All right, get down there and that awkward walk down
- 12:44Speaker 3: the steps that isn't sexy, that isn't easy, Yes, but
- 12:50Speaker 3: I do. I've always appreciated it. You don't have it now.
- 12:56Speaker 3: That has changed. Like a lot of things on this
- 12:58Speaker 3: show has changed, the thing hasn't changed is the contestants
- 13:02Speaker 3: have came from previous seasons of The Bachelor and Bachelorette.
- 13:06Speaker 3: We won't run through all the names that were announced
- 13:10Speaker 3: on the Beach just because you've probably watched the show
- 13:12Speaker 3: already you don't need it. But in short, some of
- 13:15Speaker 3: the standouts were Alex from Grant season, Lexi from Joey's season.
- 13:21Speaker 3: We have Bailey from Grant season, Hakeem from Gen season
- 13:25Speaker 3: that was a big one. As we mentioned, we have
- 13:28Speaker 3: Dale Moss from Clear season coming on, Zoe from Grant season,
- 13:34Speaker 3: and then some of the other big standouts were Justin
- 13:39Speaker 3: who was from Katie Thurston season but recently dated, Susie Evans.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Those are the big standouts, Those are the ones that
- 13:45Speaker 3: make up most of the storylines during this episode, including
- 13:49Speaker 3: which Kat and Jonathan also should be included in that
- 13:52Speaker 3: list because they were seen a lot.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Kat was the superstar of this episode. Whenever Kat was
- 13:57Speaker 2: on the screen, I was smiling, I was laughing such
- 14:00Speaker 2: she was born to be a reality TV star, and
- 14:03Speaker 2: I felt like.
- 14:03Speaker 3: And I think you and I said this, I think
- 14:05Speaker 3: she had a bad rap coming out of Paradise last season.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I think she got mixed up a little bit. She
- 14:11Speaker 3: started out strong and ended kind of in this like
- 14:15Speaker 3: love triangle where she got very upset often, and it
- 14:19Speaker 3: made her seem like she was getting upset for the
- 14:21Speaker 3: most ridiculous reasons. I'm happy to see her back on
- 14:25Speaker 3: the beach because I do think this could be a
- 14:27Speaker 3: redemption story for her and one that we get to
- 14:30Speaker 3: understand her a little bit better. Obviously, she ended up
- 14:33Speaker 3: with somebody from the last season of Paradise, but it
- 14:35Speaker 3: just never was pretty last season for her.
- 14:38Speaker 2: She had like that meltdown, that shout fest, and a
- 14:43Speaker 2: lot of people got her on her for that. I
- 14:45Speaker 2: think that a lot of people didn't see the humor
- 14:48Speaker 2: that she has. I think a lot of it, she
- 14:50Speaker 2: says is tongue in cheek. She was hilarious in this episode,
- 14:55Speaker 2: and when she wasn't on the screen, I would sometimes
- 14:58Speaker 2: get bored.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I'm with you, she will be one of those people
- 15:03Speaker 3: when she pops on, my attention will be right.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Actually, before we get in the date card number one,
- 15:19Speaker 3: which happened during this episode, anything stand out to you
- 15:23Speaker 3: from kind of the intros and initial conversations.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I guess the initial conversation that jumps out is the
- 15:32Speaker 2: automatic connection between Jess and Spencer. I just throughout the
- 15:38Speaker 2: episode and yeah, three hours, three hours was too long.
- 15:42Speaker 2: You and I with our screener, you know, we see it.
- 15:45Speaker 2: We don't see a condensed version. We see it without
- 15:47Speaker 2: the commercials. So when I saw that it was almost
- 15:50Speaker 2: it was two hours and ten minutes of actual airtime,
- 15:52Speaker 2: I was like, oh, this is reserved for finales. This
- 15:57Speaker 2: is usually paired, is chopped up into two days, right,
- 16:03Speaker 2: so you have your your two hour night than your
- 16:05Speaker 2: hour night. And this felt far too long. I was
- 16:10Speaker 2: in and out of it. It was like kind of
- 16:11Speaker 2: a rollercoaster where I was like, Oh, I love Paradise,
- 16:14Speaker 2: It's so much fun, and then I was like, oh,
- 16:15Speaker 2: I'm I'm done. Oh I'm back in and again. But
- 16:19Speaker 2: it did have its good moments, and I know that
- 16:20Speaker 2: at the beginning of the episode it was like we
- 16:22Speaker 2: were like, oh girl, But actually there was a lot
- 16:26Speaker 2: of foundational bachelor moments I would not call Justin Spencer's
- 16:33Speaker 2: Justin Spencer were they were the couple that you think
- 16:37Speaker 2: is gonna make it, and they're just they're not going
- 16:39Speaker 2: to That's what I guess. Oh, I don't. I don't.
- 16:45Speaker 2: I find that I think he's She's gonna get annoyed
- 16:48Speaker 2: with him, and I think that I think he can be.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I think he might be annoying.
- 16:53Speaker 3: And you think, I mean, out of anybody, I feel
- 16:55Speaker 3: like Jess would appreciate the annoyance more than anybody right now.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Why he's kind of quirky herself.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Totally, and I think he takes it too. I think
- 17:04Speaker 2: she's quirky and cue and I think that he like
- 17:05Speaker 2: might have like a little bit.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Of a side like a whoa, this is too much? Yeah,
- 17:12Speaker 3: who's the other guy that I didn't even recognize dark
- 17:15Speaker 3: hair Military School that also had that vibe to me?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Oh, you think that he had had a vibe to
- 17:21Speaker 2: that was Kyle also from Katie's season. I was he
- 17:25Speaker 2: got eliminated at the end of this episode, and I
- 17:28Speaker 2: was rooting for him over Jeremy in that loved triangle.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Okay, well, I mean I think Kyle had that similar
- 17:37Speaker 3: feel to me. Let's start now with this day card,
- 17:41Speaker 3: because that's really where the episode, to me begins. We
- 17:43Speaker 3: have a huge storm come in, so Justin cannot take Lexi.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Justin gets the date card, cannot take Lexi on this date. However,
- 17:54Speaker 3: when I'm watching in this moment, at this period of time,
- 17:57Speaker 3: I say, Justin, Lexi have a shot. Lexi is very
- 18:01Speaker 3: similar to Susie Evans to me in a lot of ways.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I agree, Do you agree? I do?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:10Speaker 2: When I saw the two of them talking, I thought, yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 2: that she can give Susie vibes. Both of them have
- 18:18Speaker 2: a sense of composure, immaturity. Now, there was one thing
- 18:22Speaker 2: that made my alarm clock go off, my little alarm here,
- 18:27Speaker 2: and that was that Lexi wanted to for a moment
- 18:31Speaker 2: not explore things with Justin because the Susie breakup was
- 18:35Speaker 2: so recent and that he was with her for two years.
- 18:38Speaker 2: So that doesn't match up with our public timeline. Our
- 18:43Speaker 2: public timeline says that Susie and Justin were together solidly
- 18:49Speaker 2: for about seven months, seven eight months, because when you
- 18:52Speaker 2: and I hosted that thing at the Bachelor Mansion, we
- 18:57Speaker 2: that was October twenty three or December twenty twenty three,
- 19:04Speaker 2: and then they had later admitted that they were together,
- 19:06Speaker 2: and they had actually been together for a month at
- 19:08Speaker 2: that point. Then they broke up last summer, early summer,
- 19:14Speaker 2: I think, like June twenty twenty four, which means at
- 19:18Speaker 2: the time of filming, he was broken up with Susie
- 19:21Speaker 2: for a year. Now were they secretly dating and we
- 19:25Speaker 2: don't know? Or was that a little whatever they call
- 19:28Speaker 2: it a franken bite, because it did sound a little
- 19:30Speaker 2: bit like a franken bite when I heard the two twode.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Seems like an extended period past what you and I
- 19:37Speaker 3: would know. I mean behind the scenes, we got to
- 19:40Speaker 3: hang out them personally, I don't know them together for
- 19:43Speaker 3: two years.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that perhaps they were friends with flirtation
- 19:49Speaker 2: for a long time and they're actually together for a
- 19:52Speaker 2: far shorter amount of time than two years. And I
- 19:55Speaker 2: just feel like, oh, come on, Like I understand girl
- 19:59Speaker 2: code not wanting to date somebody in bachelornation who's had
- 20:03Speaker 2: a long relationship if you respect the girl and whatnot,
- 20:08Speaker 2: but like to be in paradise and be like, oh,
- 20:10Speaker 2: I just don't know if he's ready for this just
- 20:13Speaker 2: makes it feel like, oh no, no, no, let's not bring
- 20:14Speaker 2: that up.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's hard to tell, but I do think
- 20:18Speaker 3: Justin wants to find love outset of anything else. I
- 20:22Speaker 3: don't know how Susie feels, but if they're broken up,
- 20:26Speaker 3: I think she's aware and Justin's aware that he is
- 20:30Speaker 3: ready to have a serious relationship. And so for me,
- 20:33Speaker 3: we have to have this conversation all the time on
- 20:35Speaker 3: this podcast, especially when we talk about a bachelor, is
- 20:39Speaker 3: how soon is too soon to move on? And our
- 20:42Speaker 3: consensus has always been as soon as you find the
- 20:45Speaker 3: next right person perfect. It could be two days, three days,
- 20:50Speaker 3: it could be three years. But for him to put
- 20:53Speaker 3: himself back out there and go on paradise again, I
- 20:55Speaker 3: have no problem with. Even if he still does have
- 20:58Speaker 3: sadness over the loss of Susie, that's okay because I
- 21:03Speaker 3: bet that next person will help him forget about it
- 21:07Speaker 3: or make him forget about it so quickly.
- 21:11Speaker 2: And you know what, I bet what I bet that
- 21:13Speaker 2: Susie comes in next week and we can all see
- 21:16Speaker 2: where they stand.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I hope they're fine. I hope they're fine for it
- 21:19Speaker 3: both their sakes. If not, this really awkward. We do
- 21:23Speaker 3: get a little breakdown at this point in the episode
- 21:25Speaker 3: of relationships that already exist, which makes me giggle and laugh.
- 21:29Speaker 3: So we too much time on them, But it seems
- 21:32Speaker 3: like Akeem at this point has already started and we
- 21:36Speaker 3: love Akeem. We're really excited he was going to be
- 21:39Speaker 3: there this season. He's I think he's a big name
- 21:42Speaker 3: to be in Paradise, but a Keem and Bailey seem
- 21:48Speaker 3: to be chiming it up now you know, Daleen, Zoey,
- 21:55Speaker 3: Dale and Alex are also mentioned together. I see Dale
- 21:59Speaker 3: and Alex more than I see Dale and Zoe at
- 22:02Speaker 3: this point, and just because he is in this weird,
- 22:06Speaker 3: kind of very early on love triangle that shouldn't really
- 22:10Speaker 3: even be a thing. He does get the second date card.
- 22:15Speaker 3: He pulls Kat, Zoe, and Alex all chooses Kat to
- 22:19Speaker 3: go on this date. It's a big moment because Dale
- 22:25Speaker 3: has obviously been one that has been fought over. During
- 22:28Speaker 3: this episode, he shows his interest in Kat. This couple
- 22:32Speaker 3: does make sense to me, Ashley. I don't think they're
- 22:36Speaker 3: long term, and he is the opposite of whatever the
- 22:39Speaker 3: guy's name was, who was awesome and I love him
- 22:41Speaker 3: and he's super nice. Last Henry, Yeah, John Henry. But
- 22:47Speaker 3: she seems intrigued.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Well, I wanted Kat to get this date just because
- 22:51Speaker 2: she was so hilarious when he walked in. She was
- 22:54Speaker 2: just just falling all over him, and I'm like, I
- 22:58Speaker 2: need him to ask her, just for the entertainment sake
- 23:01Speaker 2: of it. He did seem to have a little I
- 23:04Speaker 2: felt the heat between him and Zoe and Alex was
- 23:07Speaker 2: funny because Alex was like, I never get nervous around guys,
- 23:10Speaker 2: but I'm getting so nervous around him. I am the
- 23:12Speaker 2: most awkward thing ever. Jumble into my words and I
- 23:14Speaker 2: was like, you know what, I respect that moment, Alex,
- 23:17Speaker 2: because every girl has that moment, and I'm glad that
- 23:20Speaker 2: you just admitted to it. But at the end of
- 23:22Speaker 2: the day, glad that Cat won the boat with him.
- 23:25Speaker 2: They I think that Cat actually truly did not feel
- 23:28Speaker 2: good when the boat started rocking, like she was like, no, no, no,
- 23:31Speaker 2: I'm nauseous, because I felt like she actually wasn't even
- 23:35Speaker 2: though she said, you know, ten out of ten kiss her.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I think that she was actually like not into that
- 23:40Speaker 2: moment because she was gonna barf in his mouth.
- 23:44Speaker 3: That's awful.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Can you imagine. Yeah, he like went in for it
- 23:49Speaker 2: when she was like, I'm feeling nauseous, and then he
- 23:51Speaker 2: was like, oh, I'm going to kiss you now, and
- 23:53Speaker 2: I think she was like, that's very delightful, but not
- 23:56Speaker 2: the time.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Maybe I'm overanalyzing it, but that's how I felt, well,
- 24:00Speaker 2: and I think that they will be good for now.
- 24:02Speaker 2: I think that Dale definitely can date around. I wonder Dale,
- 24:07Speaker 2: for his sake of his reputation, is going to be
- 24:10Speaker 2: the kind of guy that even talks to anyone else,
- 24:13Speaker 2: because I think he's just going to want to look
- 24:14Speaker 2: really good and loyal in this.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Dal does give off like some vibes to me where
- 24:23Speaker 3: he wants to say.
- 24:24Speaker 2: The right thing exactly, yeah.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Which I'm always very cautious of when it comes to
- 24:29Speaker 3: this show. You know, you say all the right things
- 24:34Speaker 3: and it's hard to fact check on reality television. But
- 24:40Speaker 3: I am always a little more drawn into the characters
- 24:44Speaker 3: or the contestants who can make fun of themselves a
- 24:48Speaker 3: little bit, who can laugh at themselves, laugh at the situation.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Wells does a great job at it as the bartender.
- 25:00Speaker 3: It just it does feel like, Hey, I want to
- 25:02Speaker 3: say all the right things and make everybody think I'm
- 25:04Speaker 3: the perfect man, and your actions don't always match up
- 25:08Speaker 3: to that, and so who are we or what are
- 25:10Speaker 3: we to believe?
- 25:13Speaker 2: A side note, this is the beginning of some of
- 25:16Speaker 2: these montages that they put together versus him putting on sunscreens. Secondly,
- 25:22Speaker 2: is somebody imagining what's going on on another date, and
- 25:28Speaker 2: they like kind of purposely put together these silly like
- 25:31Speaker 2: daydream stories, which I don't know I was actually I
- 25:35Speaker 2: wasn't against that. I thought it was kind of funny.
- 25:38Speaker 3: I'm not against it at all. Yeah, but to me
- 25:41Speaker 3: a little bit actually, like they need to choose who
- 25:43Speaker 3: they want to be. Do they want to be a
- 25:45Speaker 3: serious dating show with this new modern look, or do
- 25:49Speaker 3: they just want this to be the corny, goofy paradise
- 25:52Speaker 3: that's always been. I don't know if you can have both.
- 25:56Speaker 2: This is like their version of talking to the parrot
- 25:58Speaker 2: talking to the raccoon.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Yeah, but I felt like the old paradise was all
- 26:03Speaker 3: kind of tongue in cheek, corny goofy until the fast
- 26:07Speaker 3: last week when Romance was represented through engagement.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I mean from the intros to the sweaty moments, to
- 26:17Speaker 3: the people snoring on the sun beds to people making
- 26:24Speaker 3: on the pool. A lot of it was tongue in
- 26:26Speaker 3: cheek until that last few weeks that got serious. It
- 26:30Speaker 3: feels like, right now the vibe is can we do
- 26:33Speaker 3: both in this in the course of an episode? And
- 26:37Speaker 3: it's hard for me because I either want to invest
- 26:40Speaker 3: or I just simply want to enjoy. And if you're
- 26:43Speaker 3: going to ask me to enjoy, you got to make
- 26:46Speaker 3: like as Well said, these idiots make out in a
- 26:48Speaker 3: pool for like the next ten weeks and make fools
- 26:52Speaker 3: of themselves. You cannot do both to me.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I think you can do both to me, because that
- 26:58Speaker 2: was silly. But I thought there was some really neat
- 27:00Speaker 2: conversations too. The conversation I'll go through them if you should.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I is that how we should handle this and me
- 27:06Speaker 2: go through them, go through them? Yeah, okay. There was
- 27:10Speaker 2: the conversation about timeline between Justin and Alexi, especially because
- 27:18Speaker 2: she has talked about her possible fertility issues down the
- 27:22Speaker 2: road that I thought that that was really natural and
- 27:26Speaker 2: made me feel something. I also felt the conversation between
- 27:33Speaker 2: Jess and Sam talk about their fears on that date.
- 27:38Speaker 2: That felt old fashioned bachelor. I liked that. And then yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 2: so Alex had a good conversation with Jonathan. I felt
- 27:49Speaker 2: that was pretty real too.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I don't discredit the realness. I just think as a fan,
- 27:56Speaker 3: you got to give me one of the other, and
- 27:59Speaker 3: sometimes in these great moments you can't mix into silly.
- 28:03Speaker 3: I either got to feel it. I don't. I don't
- 28:06Speaker 3: have the emotional capacity to go back and forth too often,
- 28:11Speaker 3: and I thought this episode, maybe because it was three
- 28:13Speaker 3: hours long, made me go back and forth emotionally too much. Ashley,
- 28:20Speaker 3: As we close here talking about Paradise, I do want
- 28:23Speaker 3: to kind of talk about some of the life love
- 28:26Speaker 3: triangles that always exist early on in a season of Paradise, Ashlely,
- 28:32Speaker 3: some of the lot love triangles that stood out to
- 28:34Speaker 3: me personally were the ones with Sam, or with Bailey,
- 28:43Speaker 3: Jeremy and Kyle. Alex's love triangle. I think Alex is
- 28:52Speaker 3: gonna have a really hard time on Paradise because I
- 28:54Speaker 3: think she's very open, very fun, very flirtatious, and very
- 28:58Speaker 3: willing to just have a good time, which is gonna
- 29:01Speaker 3: invite a lot of people in to be interested in her,
- 29:05Speaker 3: which is going to find her to be interested in
- 29:07Speaker 3: a lot of people. It's how paradise works. It's the
- 29:09Speaker 3: beauty of it. Date around and see what works. Also,
- 29:14Speaker 3: obviously we see Dale. I think we have to consider
- 29:16Speaker 3: him not in a triangle as much, but in a
- 29:19Speaker 3: place of being of interest to a lot of people.
- 29:22Speaker 3: I think any of those girls would have willingly and
- 29:25Speaker 3: excitedly said yes to his date. Cap was the one
- 29:27Speaker 3: that got asked Ashley, do any of these love triangles
- 29:31Speaker 3: still exist in the next couple of weeks? Do they
- 29:34Speaker 3: die off? Do any of them actually become a thing?
- 29:37Speaker 2: Okay, here's a triangle. Here's not a triangle, but a
- 29:40Speaker 2: couple that I see. Probably I don't know what the
- 29:43Speaker 2: heck's gonna happen with them, Bailey and Jeremy. Can I
- 29:47Speaker 2: just say that I'm not into Bailey and Jeremy because
- 29:50Speaker 2: that makeout scene was like gross, that was like way
- 29:56Speaker 2: too much for us to see. I didn't need to see,
- 29:59Speaker 2: like the the tongue in action so much. That was
- 30:02Speaker 2: like a bedroom makeout, not the first time makeout. And
- 30:07Speaker 2: there's something about Jeremy that I'm sorry, something about that
- 30:11Speaker 2: guy don' I'm really sure. And also, Wells was epic
- 30:15Speaker 2: when he described it. He was like just me, or
- 30:18Speaker 2: was like, Bailey out of Jeremy's league. I was like,
- 30:21Speaker 2: thank you for saying it out loud.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Well is good at that. You got to give him
- 30:25Speaker 3: credit for saying that as a host of this show.
- 30:27Speaker 2: I know.
- 30:29Speaker 3: It's pretty wild that he can or it does. But yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 3: I'm with you, and Bailey is out of Jeremy's league,
- 30:38Speaker 3: and that's okay. Maybe that's how I mean. We know
- 30:40Speaker 3: a lot of people who's significant others, and typically it's
- 30:45Speaker 3: the male who bats way out of his league and
- 30:47Speaker 3: we don't understand why, and we're like, good for you, buddy,
- 30:51Speaker 3: Like I don't know how you did it, but you
- 30:53Speaker 3: pulled it off, and that maybe is how this works.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Brian and Zoe there are who the heck knows
- 31:01Speaker 2: what's gonna happen to them because they don't feel firm
- 31:03Speaker 2: right now. And Zoe is definitely somebody who's hot, and
- 31:09Speaker 2: I can see being a hot commodity amongst the men
- 31:13Speaker 2: when they come in next week.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Yeah, the men are going to come in next week.
- 31:17Speaker 3: We don't necessarily know who we're gonna get but to
- 31:20Speaker 3: close this whole thing up, are our thoughts on my
- 31:23Speaker 3: thoughts on Paradise or this I still don't know these
- 31:27Speaker 3: contestants at all. I've watched every season for ten years,
- 31:32Speaker 3: haven't missed an episode. We've broke them down here on
- 31:35Speaker 3: the Almost Famous podcast. I feel very disconnected from this
- 31:38Speaker 3: group so far. It doesn't say anything about the individuals
- 31:43Speaker 3: as much of past seasons. Up until this season, there's
- 31:48Speaker 3: been familiar faces to me, and there's a few here,
- 31:52Speaker 3: but not many that I really know rooting for, understand
- 31:56Speaker 3: or remember their storyline up. I don't know what that
- 31:59Speaker 3: says about me. Maybe it's that I'm not as big
- 32:02Speaker 3: of a fan of the show as I think I am.
- 32:05Speaker 3: But I want to see more character development, or I
- 32:08Speaker 3: want to see more stories get displayed, or I want
- 32:10Speaker 3: to see some familiar faces of the past even come
- 32:15Speaker 3: back on the beach. And I think we might get
- 32:17Speaker 3: that with the Goldens. The Golden still are an element
- 32:20Speaker 3: of the show that have been promised to us that
- 32:23Speaker 3: we didn't see, that we should see at some point
- 32:26Speaker 3: here coming out. I think that will help. Paradise is
- 32:30Speaker 3: weird for me to watch, honestly, this first episode because
- 32:33Speaker 3: it's all unfamiliar to me. We have a new venue
- 32:38Speaker 3: with a new look, like with new production company, filming
- 32:42Speaker 3: this in a whole new way. I am trying to
- 32:44Speaker 3: catch up. I am trying to adjust and evolve and
- 32:49Speaker 3: grow my understanding of what this show is going to
- 32:51Speaker 3: look like. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm not giving up,
- 32:55Speaker 3: and I hope it does. I think we need to
- 32:58Speaker 3: end this podcast. We're talking about two things. One is
- 33:00Speaker 3: who got to eliminade this week. Obviously we know Hakim,
- 33:04Speaker 3: one of our favorites, was eliminated.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Hakim was hilarious. The The part about him is he's
- 33:12Speaker 2: got no romantic energy, and I can relate. I didn't
- 33:15Speaker 2: really exude romantic sexy energy either, and so I knew
- 33:20Speaker 2: that he wasn't really going to make a connection this
- 33:24Speaker 2: early on. But his lines are so funny, his facial
- 33:28Speaker 2: expressions are so funny. I'm gonna miss him. I was
- 33:32Speaker 2: really hoping they somehow figure out a way to keep him.
- 33:37Speaker 3: But I don't think he's like a lost cause. If
- 33:38Speaker 3: he listens to this. It's not that Hikimi, you don't
- 33:41Speaker 3: exude any type of like sex appeal, well, partner energy.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Totally partner energy, yes, sex appeal no.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Sure, and that's okay. I don't think either of us do.
- 33:57Speaker 3: I don't think either of us are.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Like, think you good man, You're far more slow than I.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Look at me like you'll want to sit with me
- 34:06Speaker 3: and talk to me, Like I don't think you and
- 34:08Speaker 3: I either like do that. But I think the right
- 34:11Speaker 3: person comes into her life and they go, that's the
- 34:14Speaker 3: person I'm looking for. And I think k Keem is
- 34:17Speaker 3: the type of person where the right person would be like,
- 34:19Speaker 3: that's the guy. If I'm really into this thing to
- 34:22Speaker 3: find love, I could envision myself falling in love with
- 34:25Speaker 3: that guy. I think he does exude that, but he's gone. Also,
- 34:29Speaker 3: we see Ricky leave, we see Sam leave, and then
- 34:33Speaker 3: who's the fourth.
- 34:34Speaker 2: The guy that nobody remembered Kyle, So nobody really remembered
- 34:39Speaker 2: Ricky or Kyle from the past. So to be honest,
- 34:42Speaker 2: I don't really feel like we've lost anyone there. I
- 34:45Speaker 2: did want to see more of Sam because he went
- 34:48Speaker 2: up against the one that we shall not name on
- 34:52Speaker 2: GEN season. I literally forget his name, Bet and I
- 34:58Speaker 2: always joke about how we forget her winner's name, and
- 35:02Speaker 2: it's for good reason, right, So the one who we
- 35:04Speaker 2: shall not name, he went up against him, and we
- 35:08Speaker 2: at times thought that Sam was the villain, but like
- 35:11Speaker 2: knowing who one who shall not be named, it truly
- 35:16Speaker 2: is now like he may not have been the villain.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Sam may have not had any villain energy at all.
- 35:22Speaker 2: So I really wanted to see more of him. I
- 35:25Speaker 2: think that he has an appealing suave to him, and
- 35:29Speaker 2: I think he could have done better. It's unfortunate that
- 35:32Speaker 2: he picked somebody to go on a date with that
- 35:35Speaker 2: was kind of wiped up.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, it also seems he's gonna bat for home
- 35:41Speaker 3: runs and he tried to hit one. It didn't work
- 35:44Speaker 3: out for him there. Actually, as we look forward to
- 35:57Speaker 3: the rest of the season, what are you excited to
- 35:59Speaker 3: be watched?
- 36:00Speaker 2: We want to see Susie come in. I'm really interested
- 36:04Speaker 2: to know where their relationship stands. We haven't really had
- 36:08Speaker 2: that many bachelor couples who've had like a previous relationship
- 36:11Speaker 2: and then go into paradise. It can be absolutely heart wrenching.
- 36:17Speaker 2: And I've said that I relate to Justin and Susie's
- 36:20Speaker 2: story in many ways. With Jared and I just feel
- 36:23Speaker 2: like going to Paradise seems like the move, but it's
- 36:29Speaker 2: gonna be heart wrenching either way for them. I believe
- 36:33Speaker 2: we saw this again with Joe and Kendall. That was hard.
- 36:38Speaker 2: It's a hard time, but it's good. It's also great TV.
- 36:42Speaker 2: I want to see Kat. I just want to see
- 36:44Speaker 2: more Kat too, Just Kat entertain me.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Are you excited to see Dale Moss take a shot
- 36:48Speaker 3: off of April?
- 36:50Speaker 1: No?
- 36:51Speaker 2: I don't really care.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Thenkay, what do you think outside of Dale Moss taking
- 37:02Speaker 3: a shot off v April which feels like a lot
- 37:05Speaker 3: for somebody to watch. In closing your last thoughts, what
- 37:10Speaker 3: do you think about the challenges that seem to be
- 37:12Speaker 3: promised to us throughout this season? Are you excited to
- 37:15Speaker 3: watch those? Does that seem like the opposite of what
- 37:20Speaker 3: you want? And this obviously all leads up to the
- 37:24Speaker 3: financial benefits that are being promised from the season of Paradise.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we forgot about talking about that upfront because
- 37:32Speaker 2: Jesse did tease that there would be some sort of
- 37:35Speaker 2: major prize that doesn't have to do with romance. They're
- 37:40Speaker 2: trying to combine Bachelor Pad with Bachelor and Paradise. They
- 37:44Speaker 2: call this life changing money. I don't like money involved
- 37:50Speaker 2: in what in places that it's supposed to be love.
- 37:55Speaker 3: I think Bachelor Nation is going to absolutely reject this idea.
- 37:58Speaker 3: I think they're going to be so angry at this
- 38:00Speaker 3: idea that they stop watching. They're like, this ruins everything
- 38:03Speaker 3: that I've ever hoped this show would be.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And apparently this is what Love Island does, So why
- 38:08Speaker 2: does Bachelor just want to copycat them completely? That's kind
- 38:11Speaker 2: of embarrassing.
- 38:12Speaker 3: I agree. I think you and I could have got
- 38:14Speaker 3: through this whole episode and been like, hey, it's different,
- 38:19Speaker 3: not something we reject, it's different. I think the money
- 38:24Speaker 3: aspect of this now changes everything, even the challenges I
- 38:28Speaker 3: would could get behind. I think when you add money
- 38:31Speaker 3: into it, I think Bacher Nation is going to freak
- 38:34Speaker 3: out and say, yeah, not for me anymore. We watch
- 38:37Speaker 3: this show because even with all that's happened, we still
- 38:41Speaker 3: thought this show was the one show that could find
- 38:44Speaker 3: true love for no other reason other than true love.
- 38:48Speaker 3: You add money into it changes everything, especially when the
- 38:53Speaker 3: money that they're promising is life changing.
- 38:57Speaker 2: It's half a million dollars that is actually life changing money. Yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 2: and that is really very annoying because with that on
- 39:11Speaker 2: people's minds. That's going to be the number one motivator here,
- 39:15Speaker 2: not love. Yeah that This is a whole different show now.
- 39:19Speaker 3: And I think Bachrination as a fan base is going
- 39:23Speaker 3: to be very upset about this. I do. I think
- 39:26Speaker 3: it changes everything, and I think it's going to change
- 39:30Speaker 3: now how the Big Show is viewed. Well, you know,
- 39:33Speaker 3: you go on the Big Show now to go to
- 39:35Speaker 3: Paradise to potentially be in the running for half a
- 39:38Speaker 3: million dollars.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Ben, this is actually insane because truly, if you felt
- 39:45Speaker 2: a connection with somebody and you think that, say you
- 39:49Speaker 2: feel that you love them at the end of this,
- 39:52Speaker 2: don't you try to get off camera for a second
- 39:54Speaker 2: with them and be like, listen, this could be life
- 39:56Speaker 2: changing money for both of us. We will go get
- 40:00Speaker 2: the money. One of us will choose the money or
- 40:03Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 40:05Speaker 2: People are gonna be like I can just DM text
- 40:08Speaker 2: this person a few months later and be like, Hey,
- 40:10Speaker 2: of course I had to take the money, wouldn't you
- 40:12Speaker 2: understand that?
- 40:14Speaker 3: Yeah? Or yeah, put it in escrow the two of
- 40:17Speaker 3: you and kind of figured out later on. I mean,
- 40:20Speaker 3: there's a thousand things you would decide to do.
- 40:22Speaker 2: They've been cheap their whole life. This show has been
- 40:27Speaker 2: cheaped their whole life. Now they make it a half
- 40:29Speaker 2: a million dollars.
- 40:31Speaker 3: You and you and Jared could be half a million
- 40:33Speaker 3: dollars richer right now, Ashley.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Yeah, because we didn't leave together.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you just split it fifty fifty. Never talk to
- 40:42Speaker 3: each other again.
- 40:43Speaker 2: No, But like that's not what I'm referring to. You
- 40:45Speaker 2: know that. It's like, look, we we actually you know,
- 40:48Speaker 2: I love blah blah blah blah. I this is mind boggling.
- 40:51Speaker 2: This is super crazy.
- 40:52Speaker 3: It's really messing with Ashley right now for a lot
- 40:55Speaker 3: of reasons.
- 40:56Speaker 2: But I like the challenges.
- 40:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I do too. Bachelor and Parodie will never be
- 41:00Speaker 3: the same. It's not going to be the same. The
- 41:03Speaker 3: promise of a financial incentive changes everything when it comes
- 41:08Speaker 3: to this show. Are we in for a batch? Do nation?
- 41:11Speaker 3: That's the question we have this week for you. Are
- 41:13Speaker 3: you into it? Are you not? If you're into it, awesome.
- 41:17Speaker 3: If you're not into it, please let us know by
- 41:20Speaker 3: commenting on the social media because we want to know
- 41:25Speaker 3: how you feel. It's a way that we keep in
- 41:27Speaker 3: touch with the viewership and understand what the viewership is feeling.
- 41:32Speaker 3: As hosts of Almost in this podcast, I will say
- 41:36Speaker 3: I don't love the financial incentive. I don't see the point.
- 41:39Speaker 3: I think people would have signed up for it even
- 41:42Speaker 3: without it. I think people would have been more likely
- 41:44Speaker 3: to go and invest into relationships and love without it.
- 41:48Speaker 3: I think it is so much. This first episode was
- 41:52Speaker 3: trying to fall into the bucket of the modern reality
- 41:54Speaker 3: television show, and I think they're one too late. Two,
- 41:58Speaker 3: I don't think they can compete. And three, I don't
- 42:02Speaker 3: know why they would try to compete. They had their
- 42:03Speaker 3: own good thing going. But that's my feelings, my thoughts.
- 42:06Speaker 3: I don't promise to be right. I just promised to
- 42:08Speaker 3: have an opinion. We'll be back next week and even
- 42:11Speaker 3: more this week, breaking down more that's happening in Bachelor Nation.
- 42:15Speaker 3: But until next time, I've been Ben, I've.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Been Ashley, and I am stunned
