- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Well, that's a couple
- 0:07Speaker 1: of things breaking here. As we mentioned earlier, 60 Minutes
- 0:12Speaker 1: has got this big exclusive interview with Patrick Clancy that
- 0:16Speaker 1: will air Sunday night. This is the husband of Lindsay Clancy,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and this is the first time he's spoken out. He
- 0:24Speaker 1: testified in court in the case, but then he He
- 0:28Speaker 1: lives in New York, in New York City, but he's
- 0:31Speaker 1: doing this 60 Minutes interview. So they're leaking out, bit
- 0:34Speaker 1: by bit, pieces of it. They leaked out earlier where
- 0:38Speaker 1: you could see him walk in, sit down in the studio.
- 0:41Speaker 1: But now they're leaking out some of what he said.
- 0:43Speaker 1: His first revelation is, and of course she killed the
- 0:47Speaker 1: three kids. He said, he still speaks to all three
- 0:52Speaker 1: children all the time. asking him, asking them to help
- 0:57Speaker 1: him through the pain. I talked to them. Patrick Clancy
- 1:01Speaker 1: told CBS, help me all the time. I don't know.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Are we buying any of this? Uh, you know, some people,
- 1:11Speaker 1: there's some people, some people just recklessly think that he
- 1:15Speaker 1: actually killed them, but I don't think that, but, uh,
- 1:19Speaker 1: he says he talks to all three children. So they're
- 1:21Speaker 1: leaking this out in dribs and drabs. Uh, It'll be
- 1:26Speaker 1: Sunday night, 60 minutes. You can see the whole thing.
- 1:28Speaker 1: They're trying to get some big ratings for 60 minutes.
- 1:32Speaker 1: But we'll see Sunday night. Fed increased the Fed rate.
- 1:37Speaker 1: It went up a quarter of a point, which is
- 1:39Speaker 1: exactly what everybody expected, which is probably the right thing
- 1:42Speaker 1: to do. The president mad at the Fed board. It's
- 1:45Speaker 1: all these leftover radical Jerome Powell types. One by one,
- 1:50Speaker 1: they've got to clean him off the board. He's not
- 1:51Speaker 1: mad at Kevin Warsh. He said good things about him.
- 1:54Speaker 1: But this is Kevin Warsh yesterday having a little press
- 1:58Speaker 1: conference afterwards.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Economic activity is expanding at a solid pace. While uncertainty
- 2:04Speaker 3: remains elevated, owing in part to geopolitical developments, domestic spending
- 2:10Speaker 3: has been resilient.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You know, I know this guy. I've talked to him
- 2:13Speaker 1: a million times. I never noticed his voice was that high.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You don't notice it in real life. In real life,
- 2:18Speaker 1: he looks good, sounds good. It's a little high, that voice.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Economic activity is expanding.
- 2:22Speaker 1: It's a little too high, a little too high. But
- 2:26Speaker 1: it's good. It's good. The stock market reacting very well.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Stock market has been up all day. They like this.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Investors like this quarter of a point increase. It's exactly
- 2:37Speaker 1: what everybody expected. And it's probably the right thing. The
- 2:41Speaker 1: market was up about 600 points. Now it's up about
- 2:43Speaker 1: 230 points. All right. Here's the big story. We mentioned
- 2:48Speaker 1: this last hour, but this is the big story. You
- 2:50Speaker 1: will not see this reported anywhere. You talk about fake news.
- 2:55Speaker 1: They're going to block this story like crazy. The Letitia
- 2:59Speaker 1: James case. Now, you remember when they were trying to
- 3:03Speaker 1: stop Trump from becoming president, the Biden administration coordinated all
- 3:08Speaker 1: these cases. Trump was on trial in four different places.
- 3:13Speaker 1: All of these cases getting coordinated. The crazy Alvin Bragg case,
- 3:17Speaker 1: which to this day, no legal expert can figure out
- 3:20Speaker 1: what the hell the charge was. was run by Colangelo,
- 3:25Speaker 1: a guy from the Obama administration, Obama's number two guy
- 3:29Speaker 1: in the Justice Department. He was sent to New York,
- 3:32Speaker 1: embedded into Alvin Bragg's office, coordinating this case. Remember the
- 3:37Speaker 1: one in Georgia, Fannie Willis? Remember that crazy case? She
- 3:41Speaker 1: put a guy in charge of the case. It turned
- 3:44Speaker 1: out he was in the White House for hours and
- 3:47Speaker 1: hours of hours of meetings coordinating the case with the
- 3:50Speaker 1: White House. Same thing with this Letitia James case. It
- 3:53Speaker 1: was all coordinated. So they tried to stop Trump by
- 3:57Speaker 1: arresting him, convicting him, putting him in jail, whatever they
- 4:00Speaker 1: could do. So Letitia James came up with this crazy case,
- 4:05Speaker 1: trying him for a crime that would actually be impossible
- 4:09Speaker 1: to commit. You couldn't commit this crime if you wanted to.
- 4:12Speaker 1: The case was that he was trying to get a
- 4:15Speaker 1: big loan. from, I think it was Bank of America,
- 4:19Speaker 1: trying to get a massive loan, you know, $ 800 million
- 4:21Speaker 1: for a project, a construction project. And you have to
- 4:25Speaker 1: put up collateral. And part of the collateral was Mar-a-Lago.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And she claimed that he overvalued it because he listed
- 4:33Speaker 1: it as being worth $ 450 million. Have you seen Mar-a-Lago?
- 4:40Speaker 1: It sounds a little low, $ 450 million. So anyway, Letitia
- 4:44Speaker 1: James brings the case. It's in New York City. They
- 4:47Speaker 1: get one of these crazy left-wing lunatic, left-wing kook judges.
- 4:52Speaker 1: This judge in court rules that Mar-a-Lago is actually worth
- 4:56Speaker 1: $ 17 million. $ 17 million. Now, Palm Beach real estate experts
- 5:02Speaker 1: put it at about a billion dollars. And Palm Beach
- 5:06Speaker 1: real estate experts said that the parking lot, just the
- 5:10Speaker 1: land on the parking lot would be worth $ 20 million.
- 5:14Speaker 1: So this crazy judge, what was his name? Erdogan, Erdogan, Erdogan,
- 5:17Speaker 1: whatever his name was, rules it's worth $ 17 million. He
- 5:21Speaker 1: said it's worth $ 17 million. Trump said $ 450 million. It
- 5:27Speaker 1: was a ridiculous case. I think they still convicted him
- 5:29Speaker 1: because it's crazy New York. You get a crazy left-wing jury. Well,
- 5:34Speaker 1: it's going to real courts now, and a real court
- 5:36Speaker 1: did the research, and they have ruled. You're not going
- 5:39Speaker 1: to see this reported anywhere. Nobody will report this. They
- 5:43Speaker 1: ruled that Mar-a-Lago is worth 650 million. 650 million. So
- 5:50Speaker 1: Trump actually undervalued the property. He was 200 million too low,
- 5:55Speaker 1: according to this court ruling. So there was no crime.
- 5:57Speaker 1: In fact, just the opposite happened. No crime at all.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Trump was absolutely right in this case. In fact, he
- 6:05Speaker 1: undervalued it. Letitia James has yet to say a word. Now,
- 6:08Speaker 1: of course, fake news controls everything. You will not see
- 6:11Speaker 1: this story reported And by the way, it's a crime
- 6:16Speaker 1: it's impossible to commit. You can't defraud a bank by
- 6:19Speaker 1: overvaluing your assets. If you're trying to get a massive loan,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you can send them whatever you want. You can send
- 6:27Speaker 1: them documents. You could say, my apartment is worth $ 20 million.
- 6:30Speaker 1: That's the collateral. They don't even look at your numbers.
- 6:33Speaker 1: They'll never look at your numbers. They'll never look at
- 6:36Speaker 1: any of it. They'll send their own appraiser, and they'll
- 6:38Speaker 1: decide what it's worth. Even a simple thing like a
- 6:42Speaker 1: car accident, a fender bender, you can call your insurance
- 6:45Speaker 1: company and say, yeah, it's a $ 6, 000 worth of damage.
- 6:50Speaker 1: They're not going to say, okay, we'll write you a check. No,
- 6:52Speaker 1: they're going to say, yeah, what time can our appraiser
- 6:54Speaker 1: be there? They'll tell you how much the damage is.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You can't defraud a bank in a loan. They send
- 7:00Speaker 1: their own appraisers. And by the way, if you look
- 7:02Speaker 1: at that stuff Trump submitted for that bank, it says
- 7:05Speaker 1: right at the bottom, Do your own estimate. Do your
- 7:10Speaker 1: own appraisals. And right in the bank documents, it says,
- 7:13Speaker 1: we're not going to use your numbers. We're going to
- 7:15Speaker 1: do our own appraisal. So you couldn't commit this crime
- 7:17Speaker 1: if you tried. And according to this latest court ruling,
- 7:20Speaker 1: Trump was totally, completely, a thousand percent innocent. Letitia James
- 7:25Speaker 1: had a totally ridiculous fake case. UN General Assembly, it's coming.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's actually underway. But the big week where all the
- 7:34Speaker 1: world leaders come in is next week. So just giving
- 7:39Speaker 1: you a warning, it's going to be a traffic nightmare
- 7:42Speaker 1: in Manhattan all of next week. It's UN General Assembly week.
- 7:47Speaker 1: If you're driving in and you got to come, especially
- 7:49Speaker 1: the east side. But remember, it's not just the area
- 7:53Speaker 1: around the UN because all these world leaders stay at
- 7:57Speaker 1: all the top hotels. So one will be at the Waldorf,
- 7:59Speaker 1: one will be at the St. Regis, one will be
- 8:02Speaker 1: at the Plaza, one will be at the Pierre. Even
- 8:05Speaker 1: across the street there, the Warwick Hotel. It's just going
- 8:10Speaker 1: to be a nightmare. Traffic nightmare all over the place.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Netanyahu will be here. Expect a lot of protests thanks
- 8:16Speaker 1: to the crazy Mamdani crowd.
- 8:19Speaker 3: We are talking about someone who has been charged with
- 8:22Speaker 3: crimes against humanity.
- 8:23Speaker 1: No, he hasn't. You're talking about that International Criminal Court.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That's just a made-up court a couple of left-wing kooks created.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Not a real court. He's been charged. Nothing about being
- 8:34Speaker 1: a war criminal, none of that is true. The other
- 8:37Speaker 1: big story this morning, Mamdani and his bathrooms. The one
- 8:41Speaker 1: thing he should be good at is a toilet. A
- 8:43Speaker 1: Mamdani toilet, they'll be everywhere.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Today, we are putting the sewage back in sewer socialism.
- 8:48Speaker 3: And we're doing so because we believe that there is
- 8:50Speaker 3: no problem too big and no task too small for
- 8:53Speaker 3: City Hall to help you with.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Okay.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Okay. I'm editing myself right now. There's lots of jokes
- 9:03Speaker 1: there about the Mum Downey toilets. You could put his
- 9:05Speaker 1: picture in the bottom. There's all kinds of jokes here,
- 9:07Speaker 1: but they're being made at, they're going to cost $ 235, 000
- 9:11Speaker 1: a toilet. $ 235, 000 a toilet. You know, those Saudi guys
- 9:19Speaker 1: with the gold toilet, they don't cost that much, but
- 9:21Speaker 1: it's a whole. Now, I'm thinking about other things. Don't
- 9:24Speaker 1: you have to have toilet paper? Wouldn't you think you
- 9:27Speaker 1: need soap or toilet paper or something? Are you going
- 9:30Speaker 1: to depend on the government to keep restocking that all
- 9:32Speaker 1: the time? Has anybody thought about that? Is somebody going
- 9:38Speaker 1: to come by every half hour to make sure? We
- 9:41Speaker 1: have a problem with our bathroom down here. There's a
- 9:43Speaker 1: cleaning crew that cleans it. I don't know why, but
- 9:47Speaker 1: they clean it like every hour. Every time I want
- 9:49Speaker 1: to go to the bathroom, it's got that sign up, cleaning,
- 9:53Speaker 1: the tape is across it, you can't go in there.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Every hour they clean it over and over again. And,
- 9:59Speaker 1: I mean, we've got like six radio stations here in
- 10:02Speaker 1: one floor, but you don't need to clean it every year.
- 10:05Speaker 1: But again, when it's government run, what do you think?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Once every week, somebody will come by and replace the
- 10:11Speaker 1: toilet paper. So that's the other problem. You're going to
- 10:12Speaker 1: have that problem. And again, what happens to homeless people?
- 10:15Speaker 1: They go in there and they can't... Now, again, the
- 10:18Speaker 1: toilets will have a 10-minute limit. You're going to get warnings.
- 10:23Speaker 1: That's another thing. You know, you're trying to take care
- 10:26Speaker 1: of your business there, stress-free, and this voice is going
- 10:29Speaker 1: to keep yelling at you, timing you.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Your use time has expired.
- 10:33Speaker 5: The door is opening now.
- 10:37Speaker 1: What are you supposed to do? The door is opening
- 10:39Speaker 1: right now. What are you supposed to do? Jump up
- 10:40Speaker 1: and pull up your pants. I can't wait for these
- 10:43Speaker 1: toilets to open. This is not going to work out
- 10:46Speaker 1: at all for anybody. Hey, there's a woman that was
- 10:49Speaker 1: on the Kamala Harris campaign, top campaign official, who's written
- 10:53Speaker 1: a new book and is revealing they deliberately lied in
- 10:56Speaker 1: the campaign. Oh, what a shock. They lied about, remember,
- 11:00Speaker 1: what was it, the convention or her rally, a convention night,
- 11:04Speaker 1: Beyonce was going to appear. Well, they said they knew
- 11:07Speaker 1: that wasn't the case. She was supposed to be their
- 11:09Speaker 1: final night of the convention. They knew that was not
- 11:12Speaker 1: the case. They said she's revealing. It was just a
- 11:16Speaker 1: lie to pack the stadium. They were worried they couldn't
- 11:19Speaker 1: fill up the arena for Kamala's speech. Remember, there was
- 11:22Speaker 1: another night with supposedly Taylor Swift was going to come campaign. And, well,
- 11:27Speaker 1: turns out that was a deliberate lie. Deliberate lie. They
- 11:32Speaker 1: knew she wasn't coming. They just wanted to make sure
- 11:34Speaker 1: that the rally got a lot of attendance. You know,
- 11:39Speaker 1: they keep saying, everybody keeps saying, the Republicans, they got
- 11:41Speaker 1: no message. They got no message. Well, also remember the
- 11:44Speaker 1: Democrats have no message. I mean, they got the hate
- 11:46Speaker 1: Donald Trump, Trump derangement syndrome message. But even Maggie Haberman
- 11:51Speaker 1: of the New York Times warning Democrats that this is
- 11:55Speaker 1: not good enough. Democrats don't have a message. And she
- 12:00Speaker 1: keeps saying, hating Trump, it's not enough. You're going to
- 12:03Speaker 1: need more than that. She's also pointing out, and this
- 12:06Speaker 1: is the big factor everybody's forgetting about. The Republicans have
- 12:11Speaker 1: a ton of money. They got like 200 million over
- 12:14Speaker 1: at the RNC. Trump has been a fundraising fanatic for
- 12:19Speaker 1: the last couple of years. They got about $ 200 million
- 12:21Speaker 1: in the war chest at the RNC. The DNC, about $ 1. 50.
- 12:26Speaker 1: They got nothing, absolutely nothing in that war chest. Maybe
- 12:29Speaker 1: they got $ 20 million. That's about it. And Democrats have
- 12:34Speaker 1: a big problem. And she points out, this is Maggie Haberman, says,
- 12:37Speaker 1: they have been struggling with fundraising for quite some time.
- 12:41Speaker 1: They have never recovered from the end of the Biden term.
- 12:45Speaker 1: The Biden term was so bad and the condition of
- 12:47Speaker 1: Joe Biden was so bad, a lot of donors got
- 12:50Speaker 1: disgusted and walked away. Not just walked away, but they
- 12:54Speaker 1: walked away very angry. They were really, really angry, according
- 12:58Speaker 1: to Maggie Haberman, and walked away. People don't like being
- 13:01Speaker 1: told for two years Biden is just fine. Finding out
- 13:05Speaker 1: he was a disaster and that everybody knew it. She
- 13:08Speaker 1: cites billionaires, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, examples of famous Democratic figures.
- 13:15Speaker 1: who they had previously been able to count on, who've
- 13:17Speaker 1: walked away. Trump, meanwhile, never stopped raising money. He's got
- 13:22Speaker 1: a massive war chest. It'll be a big, big factor
- 13:26Speaker 1: in the midterms, which are pretty close. It's basically less
- 13:31Speaker 1: than two months, so they've got to get that messaging
- 13:34Speaker 1: and everything going. Bruce Blakeman, Nassau County executive, submitted the
- 13:39Speaker 1: new budget. No tax hike. No tax hike in the
- 13:43Speaker 1: new budget. An increase in police is going to hire
- 13:47Speaker 1: more cops. This is exactly what everybody wants. Now, they
- 13:50Speaker 1: love to convince you that New York City is in trouble.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Everything is bad. Home sales are going through the roof.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Commercial leasing is through the roof. In fact, latest numbers
- 14:02Speaker 1: show that in home sales, one out of five New
- 14:06Speaker 1: York City homes not only sell, but there's a bidding war.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Bidding wars are taking place all over New York. Brooklyn
- 14:13Speaker 1: is the prime center for these bidding wars. But even Manhattan,
- 14:16Speaker 1: one in five homes now having a bidding war in
- 14:20Speaker 1: New York City. So it's doing very, very well. Hey,
- 14:24Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. Give
- 14:29Speaker 1: me a call. Especially if you're a new caller, if
- 14:31Speaker 1: you've never called us before, give us a call.
- 14:32Speaker 2: 800-321-0710. 800-321-0710. Go on.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Well, hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Quaylen
- 14:46Speaker 1: in Florida. Quaylen, how you doing?
- 14:49Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh. Mark Simone, I'm so happy to hear
- 14:52Speaker 6: your voice. The reason I'm calling because I met this
- 14:56Speaker 6: mega hat, red hat guy at Pasquale for many years
- 15:03Speaker 6: now because we both listened to you. So now that
- 15:07Speaker 6: Pasquale is.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Closed, Wait, wait, wait. Slow down. What's Pasquale?
- 15:14Speaker 6: Pasquale is the restaurant.
- 15:15Speaker 1: In Portchester?
- 15:16Speaker 6: Portchester, yes. And it's closed now, okay?
- 15:21Speaker 1: Pasquale's closed?
- 15:23Speaker 6: Yes. You didn't know?
- 15:27Speaker 1: Sorry, I don't keep up on every restaurant in Portchester.
- 15:30Speaker 6: I know, but you know all about food.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Well, I do. I've never been there, but it's a
- 15:34Speaker 1: nice guy who had a restaurant on Arthur Avenue, and
- 15:36Speaker 1: it was in Portchester. And why did it close?
- 15:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Well, Pasquale is close. So this year, I only saw
- 15:46Speaker 6: this guy once.
- 15:48Speaker 2: What guy?
- 15:48Speaker 6: And now I'm leaving the one with the red hat.
- 15:52Speaker 1: So what are you, picking up guys in Pasquale's? What
- 15:54Speaker 1: do you mean?
- 15:54Speaker 6: Yes, I do. With my husband. Pardon me. My husband's 91,
- 15:59Speaker 6: and he, I don't know how old he is.
- 16:01Speaker 1: So you got a little activity on the side? Is
- 16:03Speaker 1: that what you're saying?
- 16:04Speaker 6: Yes, you could say that because his wife was there, too,
- 16:07Speaker 6: and his family. So what I'm trying to tell him
- 16:11Speaker 6: is that now I go to Lugano in Greenwich.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Lugano is in Greenwich? There used to be the Boxing
- 16:17Speaker 1: Cat years ago?
- 16:18Speaker 6: Yeah, well, that's... I think that was, exactly. That's where
- 16:23Speaker 6: it is.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Now, what is the deal with you? You seem to
- 16:25Speaker 1: go to these restaurants with a lot of bar action.
- 16:26Speaker 5: What is that all about?
- 16:27Speaker 6: Well, because we're old people, we don't cook anymore.
- 16:29Speaker 1: We go to different restaurants. You don't go to Valbella? Nice,
- 16:33Speaker 1: quiet restaurant? Oh, Valbella.
- 16:36Speaker 6: My God. That place is so expensive.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Well, now you want to, hey, maybe you should go
- 16:40Speaker 1: to J House. That's some real bar action there. I
- 16:42Speaker 1: think that's where you should go.
- 16:44Speaker 6: No, we can't. My husband can't. Too noisy. You know
- 16:47Speaker 6: where we go now, which is delicious food?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Cemetery?
- 16:50Speaker 4: Cemetery.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Where?
- 16:51Speaker 6: La Scalle. La Scalle.
- 16:53Speaker 1: La Scalle in the Delamar Hotel. Right on the water.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Very beautiful. Yeah. But again, wait a minute. That's a
- 17:00Speaker 1: place also with a lot of bar action. I think
- 17:02Speaker 1: something's up with you.
- 17:03Speaker 6: No, we don't go to the bar. We sit in
- 17:05Speaker 6: the dining room. The food is excellent.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Very, very good.
- 17:09Speaker 6: I don't want to waste your time.
- 17:11Speaker 1: But you already did.
- 17:12Speaker 6: Too late.
- 17:13Speaker 7: Well, sorry.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So just.
- 17:16Speaker 6: In case this man is calling to listen to you,
- 17:19Speaker 6: I just want to say hi, and I'm leaving. Hopefully,
- 17:22Speaker 6: I'll see him next year if I'm still alive.
- 17:24Speaker 1: You'll be alive.
- 17:25Speaker 6: My husband and I, we just celebrated our 64th wedding anniversary.
- 17:30Speaker 7: Really?
- 17:31Speaker 1: Well, that is so touching. Now, unfortunately, the sun is 65. Tavern.
- 17:36Speaker 7: Huh?
- 17:37Speaker 6: Tavern of Grey Barn Tavern in Silvermont. You would like
- 17:41Speaker 6: to go there.
- 17:42Speaker 2: All right.
- 17:42Speaker 1: We're going to charge you for all these restaurant plugs.
- 17:45Speaker 1: All right. Thank you. Thank you for calling. Let's go
- 17:48Speaker 1: to John Greenvale, Long Island. John, how you doing?
- 17:53Speaker 7: Okay, Mark.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Hey, you got a new Uncle Giuseppe's just opened in Greenvale.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Big new Uncle Giuseppe.
- 17:58Speaker 7: Yes, it's absolutely fantastic.
- 18:01Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 18:01Speaker 7: You must come and visit.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I've been there. I've been there three or four times.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I was there opening day.
- 18:08Speaker 7: I was there too. Really?
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 1: You were the guy hogging all the free samples, right?
- 18:20Speaker 7: You had talked about the tragic death of Jane Mansfield. Yes.
- 18:25Speaker 7: You know, when she died tragically.
- 18:28Speaker 1: When her car.
- 18:30Speaker 7: Rear-ended a tractor trailer, and her car slid under the
- 18:34Speaker 7: rear of the trailer, and, you know, tragically, she was decapitated.
- 18:39Speaker 6: Uh-huh.
- 18:39Speaker 7: But here's a little known fact. After that incident, the U.S.
- 18:44Speaker 7: Department of Transportation passed a regulation that all tractor trailers
- 18:50Speaker 7: had to install a series of metal bars at the
- 18:54Speaker 7: rear base of the trailer.
- 18:56Speaker 1: So the car couldn't go underneath. Very good. Thank you.
- 19:01Speaker 1: We always like an old guy calling with the radio on.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Some obscure information. Thank you for calling. Let's go to
- 19:08Speaker 1: John in Ronkakamo. John, how are you doing?
- 19:12Speaker 2: Hey, Mark.
- 19:13Speaker 4: I'm doing great. First-time caller. Thanks for taking my call. So, hey,
- 19:17Speaker 4: we have two Uncle Giuseppi's in the area. One in
- 19:20Speaker 4: Smithtown and one in Mount Sinai, I believe.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yeah, for those who don't live in Long Island, Uncle Giuseppi's.
- 19:26Speaker 1: It's like the Italian Wegmans. It's the greatest supermarket. A
- 19:29Speaker 1: lot of great Italian stuff, but it's such a great supermarket.
- 19:31Speaker 1: They're like 10 miles long. They're great, great. I want
- 19:37Speaker 1: one in Manhattan. Connecticut should get some. New Jersey, I
- 19:41Speaker 1: think you got one. You need more. But hopefully, I
- 19:43Speaker 1: talked to the owner. His name is a great guy,
- 19:44Speaker 1: Carl Del Prete. He's going to try. He's looking all
- 19:48Speaker 1: over the place, wants to open more. But you guys
- 19:50Speaker 1: are so good.
- 19:51Speaker 8: So we were talking the other day about people who
- 19:54Speaker 8: move out of New York. And everyone who moves out
- 19:57Speaker 8: of New York, they really miss it. I do business traveling.
- 20:00Speaker 8: If a friend or a family member hears I'm coming.
- 20:05Speaker 4: They said, bring us bagels. Well, bring us pizza, you know?
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:09Speaker 4: They move to these places that don't have bagels or
- 20:12Speaker 4: pizza or deli. And then they say they love it,
- 20:15Speaker 4: but they don't really because they miss it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't get great pizza everywhere. You will be
- 20:18Speaker 1: able to get the bagels because a lot of these
- 20:20Speaker 1: bagel companies, hedge funds have gotten behind them. They're opening
- 20:22Speaker 1: all over the country. Pop-Up Bagels is about to be
- 20:25Speaker 1: $ 300 million.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 20:26Speaker 4: I remember you talking about that.
- 20:28Speaker 7: All right.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Well, thanks for calling. Let's go to Andrew in Newark. Andrew,
- 20:34Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 20:36Speaker 5: Hey, Mark, how's it going? Two things you don't mind. First,
- 20:39Speaker 5: the toilets, right?
- 20:40Speaker 1: Yes.
- 20:40Speaker 5: It was about 30 years ago in San Francisco. They
- 20:44Speaker 5: came out with these self-cleaning toilets. You had to pay
- 20:47Speaker 5: for it, though, and then the door opened automatically. When
- 20:50Speaker 5: I moved there, one of the first things I saw
- 20:52Speaker 5: on Marcus Street.
- 20:54Speaker 1: One of the.
- 20:54Speaker 5: Oh, wow, I saw that on the news when I
- 20:55Speaker 5: saw this. And the door opened because time was up,
- 20:58Speaker 5: and a bill of smoke came out, and, like, 10
- 21:00Speaker 5: homeless people all shot out in different directions and stuff.
- 21:04Speaker 5: But it's nothing new, but... First, I think it would
- 21:07Speaker 5: be more economical if you just gave a guy a
- 21:09Speaker 5: job to stay there and be a toilet attendant, take
- 21:12Speaker 5: people out and keep it clean and what they're talking about.
- 21:15Speaker 5: And you said toilet paper, really literally like this is
- 21:18Speaker 5: a joke, but maybe if you just used dollar bills,
- 21:20Speaker 5: it would be cheaper.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey. Now listen, one thing about city government,
- 21:25Speaker 1: they can't run anything. Anything. Anything they run stinks. Can
- 21:29Speaker 1: you imagine them trying to take care of these public toilets?
- 21:32Speaker 1: It's not going to be very good. Let's go to
- 21:35Speaker 1: Ron in Woodstock. Ron, how you doing?
- 21:39Speaker 2: Hello?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yes, Ron.
- 21:41Speaker 6: Oh, yeah. I wasn't sure.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Woodstock.
- 21:43Speaker 1: He's still stoned. Yeah, Woodstock.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Great.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Great.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Great.
- 21:47Speaker 1: What I'm calling about, you know, all these politicians, they
- 21:51Speaker 1: should crack down on these corporations cheating on their taxes.
- 21:55Speaker 2: It's a myth.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Well, I know they don't cheat on their taxes. They
- 21:58Speaker 1: pay more taxes than anybody. They pay all the taxes.
- 22:00Speaker 9: I know, but the myth is this.
- 22:03Speaker 6: Every corporation, I work for a Fortune 300.
- 22:06Speaker 4: That's on the Forbes calendar.
- 22:08Speaker 9: And every corporation has to give the IRS a room
- 22:13Speaker 9: at corporate headquarters.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Oh, I know. The corporations all pay their taxes. It
- 22:17Speaker 1: just sounds good for Democrats. If corporations would only pay
- 22:21Speaker 1: their fair share, they play more than their fair share already. Hey,
- 22:25Speaker 1: by the way, Democrats have tariffs on everybody. A tariff
- 22:29Speaker 1: is when you increase the tax on a corporation because
- 22:32Speaker 1: what they do is they tack it onto the price.
- 22:34Speaker 1: So it's basically a tariff. It's the same thing. When
- 22:37Speaker 1: Trump puts a tariff on, corporations don't necessarily have to
- 22:40Speaker 1: pay it. Very often it's paid by the exporter, by
- 22:42Speaker 1: the middleman. But when you put a tax on a corporation, boom,
- 22:46Speaker 1: it goes right into the price. That's a real tariff. Hey,
- 22:49Speaker 1: when we come back, nobody better to talk about these
- 22:51Speaker 1: Mamdani toilets than Jimmy Fallon, the great comedian, great WOR host,
- 22:57Speaker 1: Fox News host. Very funny guy. We'll talk to him
- 23:00Speaker 1: next on 710WOR. You're listening to The Mark Simone Show
- 23:07Speaker 1: on 710WOR. Well, we're looking for Jimmy Fallon. You couldn't
- 23:13Speaker 1: find him?
- 23:15Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yeah, wait. Let me send him a text here. Hang on.
- 23:21Speaker 1: There you go. Just text him. He'll pick up. He'll
- 23:28Speaker 1: pick up. Get a hold of Jimmy Fallon. He's going
- 23:30Speaker 1: to be doing a comedy show, a great night of comedy,
- 23:34Speaker 1: Kuchina Kalandra, Fairfield, New Jersey, October 28th. You can get
- 23:40Speaker 1: all the details. You can get tickets and all the
- 23:42Speaker 1: details at 710WOR. com, 710WOR. com. So do that right now before
- 23:54Speaker 1: they sell out. So while we wait for Jimmy Fallon,
- 23:58Speaker 1: we'll find him. New Bowling Green State University, yougov.pol. There's
- 24:02Speaker 1: two people you can't trust at all. Two groups. But
- 24:06Speaker 1: who's leading as the 2028 Democratic candidate? Who's the number one?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Let me see here. And, well, Newsom dropped to third place.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Dropped to third place. Number one, I hate to break
- 24:21Speaker 1: it to you, is Kamala Harris. Yes, she's number one
- 24:25Speaker 1: with 17%. Who's number two? Pete Buttigieg at 16%. Here's
- 24:33Speaker 1: a guy, this is like democratic politics. Here's a guy
- 24:35Speaker 1: with absolutely no qualifications to be the president of the
- 24:40Speaker 1: United States. Not qualified in any way. I know he
- 24:42Speaker 1: was the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, which is a
- 24:45Speaker 1: very small town. I know he was the transportation secretary,
- 24:51Speaker 1: but you can't use that as experience because he stunk
- 24:54Speaker 1: at it. He was a disaster. You remember how the
- 24:56Speaker 1: supply chain was all clogged up? Remember what a mess
- 25:00Speaker 1: it was, everything under him? So he's second place. Third
- 25:07Speaker 1: place is a tie. Third place is a tie between
- 25:10Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom and AOC, believe it or not. It's interesting
- 25:16Speaker 1: because everybody thinks AOC is such a strong candidate, but
- 25:18Speaker 1: she's in third place. So that would be third and fourth.
- 25:21Speaker 1: They're tied for third. Fifth place is Mark Kelly, Senator
- 25:25Speaker 1: Mark Kelly. He's a very angry, nasty, angry... Arizona congressman. So, hey,
- 25:32Speaker 1: we were talking about crazy Mamdani before with his toilets
- 25:35Speaker 1: and all of that. The other thing is Mamdani's got
- 25:38Speaker 1: a real problem coming up. And this is a New
- 25:42Speaker 1: York City judge, New York City court. But the judge
- 25:46Speaker 1: actually is a Republican. But they're going after Mamdani for
- 25:50Speaker 1: that whole rent freeze. You know, Mamdani promised a rent freeze.
- 25:53Speaker 1: He promised to do all this. You have to work.
- 25:57Speaker 1: with the rent stabilization board. Well, Mamdani loaded up the
- 26:02Speaker 1: board with all his cronies, and they're not supposed to collaborate.
- 26:06Speaker 1: They're not supposed to, you know, secretly conspire on anything. Well,
- 26:11Speaker 1: they believe Mamdani has, since he put in all these
- 26:14Speaker 1: former cronies, all these left-wing kooky allies of his. So
- 26:19Speaker 1: the judge has ruled that Mamdani turn over everything, his emails,
- 26:24Speaker 1: his texts, They're going to look through them to see
- 26:26Speaker 1: if there was any collusion on this. The order does
- 26:30Speaker 1: exclude communications between Mamdani and his own staff. But Mamdani
- 26:35Speaker 1: colluding with that rent board, they're going to take a
- 26:38Speaker 1: good hard look at that and see if they can
- 26:41Speaker 1: find anything. So that's probably not going to go well
- 26:44Speaker 1: for him. Not going to be the best thing for him. Hey, also,
- 26:51Speaker 1: this was a horrific story. This guy with the McLaren,
- 26:55Speaker 1: you know, the McLaren is like a $ 400, 000 car. So
- 26:59Speaker 1: he's a young guy and he's got a McLaren and
- 27:01Speaker 1: he's out with a Hooters waitress, actually a Hooters calendar girl.
- 27:05Speaker 1: It's like the ideal date, right? You got a McLaren,
- 27:08Speaker 1: you got a Hooters calendar girl. It ends with the
- 27:13Speaker 1: most horrific video, which is online. You can see the video.
- 27:19Speaker 1: The McLaren slams into a tree, bursts into flames. kills him,
- 27:25Speaker 1: kills the Hooters calendar girl. He's 27. She's 22. The
- 27:31Speaker 1: car behind it has one of those dash cams, which
- 27:35Speaker 1: records the whole thing. TMZ has the video. You don't
- 27:38Speaker 1: even want to look at it. It's just horrific. Apparently,
- 27:40Speaker 1: he's a car influencer. What's a car influencer? Well, you know,
- 27:45Speaker 1: they got food influencers. He's a car influencer. I guess
- 27:48Speaker 1: they lent him the McLaren for this. There was... Right
- 27:52Speaker 1: before the tree was very wet. Two things. Police say
- 27:56Speaker 1: he was speeding. They blame speeding. And he hit that
- 28:00Speaker 1: wet spot, slammed into the tree. McLaren immediately burst into flames.
- 28:07Speaker 1: He was the founder of San Clemente's. Oh, he's one
- 28:10Speaker 1: of these guys. They have one of those cars and
- 28:12Speaker 1: coffee things. A lot of suburbs have those. But believe
- 28:16Speaker 1: it or not, it's cars and coffee. And it's usually Saturday,
- 28:19Speaker 1: Sunday mornings. 8 a.m. where they park a lot of cars,
- 28:23Speaker 1: and these guys, these car fanatics, walk around looking at them.
- 28:26Speaker 1: It's not exactly the most fun event, getting up at
- 28:28Speaker 1: 8 o'clock in the morning to look at a McLaren
- 28:30Speaker 1: or two, but a terrible story. Hey, we still can't
- 28:33Speaker 1: find Jimmy Fallon? Oh, that's strange. Well, let's take a
- 28:36Speaker 1: call or two. Let's go to line four. Who's this
- 28:41Speaker 1: on line four? Hi, this is Doug. Doug, how are
- 28:44Speaker 1: you doing?
- 28:45Speaker 2: Mariska Hargitay.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Daughter of Jane Mansfield.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Oh, that's right, yeah.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Who was in the car when the accident happened.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Said that her mother was not decapitated. Wow. The rumors
- 29:00Speaker 2: started because they found Jane's wig in the roadway.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Well, yeah, the news reports at the time said decapitated.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I didn't realize she was in the car.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Yes.
- 29:10Speaker 1: How old would she have been then?
- 29:11Speaker 2: Don't know.
- 29:12Speaker 1: That was about 1966, something like that?
- 29:15Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Wow. What a horrible thing to be in that car.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Then the You're in the car and your mother and
- 29:22Speaker 1: father are killed. Unbelievable. Line two, don't go to it. Oh,
- 29:30Speaker 1: it's one of those callers. Let's just wait. Let's go
- 29:33Speaker 1: to it for a second. Hey, is this Steve?
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yes, it's Steve.
- 29:39Speaker 5: You know something?
- 29:39Speaker 4: You guys that say, just come here legally.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Yeah, this is one of these guys. He's got that real,
- 29:45Speaker 1: you can always spot him. He calls it a different
- 29:47Speaker 1: name every time, every time, different name, different town, but
- 29:51Speaker 1: you can always spot him. He's got that accent. And, uh,
- 29:54Speaker 1: He always just goes, everything is you people and these illegals.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Why do you want to deport everybody? Well, that's it.
- 30:03Speaker 1: You know, it's like a nice sunny morning. It's still
- 30:06Speaker 1: the summer. You'd think you'd be in a good mood.
- 30:09Speaker 1: You would think you'd be happy, enjoying yourself, have a
- 30:12Speaker 1: cup of coffee, enjoy the day. Did you ever try pickleball?
- 30:17Speaker 1: Maybe that'll get some of that tension out of you. No,
- 30:21Speaker 1: I guess not.
- 30:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Well, he said his piece. Luckily, nobody else. I see
- 30:27Speaker 1: it's on hold, but it's got that banner on it.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Bad caller, bad caller. Don't take it. So, Steve, be grateful.
- 30:34Speaker 1: You've earned one of those. It's not easy to get
- 30:36Speaker 1: one of those where we put that every time your
- 30:38Speaker 1: phone comes. See, when you call, we can see everything
- 30:41Speaker 1: on the screen. You get that boom, that big banner.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Bad caller, bad caller, bad caller. And you're wondering, why
- 30:47Speaker 1: would they call him a bad caller? Take a listen.
- 30:49Speaker 1: You heard for yourself. So, still no Jimmy Fallon. Boy,
- 30:54Speaker 1: that's strange. Well, we'll find him. Maybe we'll get him
- 30:58Speaker 1: back next week. Scott Besant, talking about Donald Trump with
- 31:04Speaker 1: his $ 5, 000 checks. He said, it might be very possible
- 31:08Speaker 1: to do it with the tariffs. Believe it or not,
- 31:10Speaker 1: tariff revenue could come to $ 20 trillion possibly. Well, you
- 31:16Speaker 1: never know. Hey, one more call. Let's go to Rich Fairlawn,
- 31:19Speaker 1: New Jersey. Rich, how you doing?
- 31:21Speaker 9: Fine, sir. I wonder if the news is going to
- 31:24Speaker 9: put it About Massachusetts, where about the young lady, 15
- 31:29Speaker 9: years old, was taken by the state so that they
- 31:33Speaker 9: can have gender to her mother or father.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a big thing.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Anyway, thanks for... What's going on today? Everybody sounds like
- 31:41Speaker 1: they're 100 calling. Normally, you have callers of all ages. Everybody...
- 31:44Speaker 1: Did somebody put our number up on the wall of
- 31:46Speaker 1: a nursing home or something? Everybody... is calling up, sounding
- 31:50Speaker 1: a little kooky today. Anyway, hey, we didn't find Jimmy Fallon,
- 31:55Speaker 1: but just a reminder, he'll be doing a big night
- 31:57Speaker 1: of comedy, Kuchina Calandra, Fairfield, New Jersey. That's where he's
- 32:02Speaker 1: calling from, in Fairfield. It's October 28th, and you can
- 32:05Speaker 1: get tickets, or you can get all the details, and
- 32:08Speaker 1: you can get tickets. Just go to 710WOR. com slash Jimmy.
- 32:11Speaker 1: 710WOR. com slash Jimmy. Hey, and don't forget, you can hear
- 32:20Speaker 1: him tonight, 9 to midnight. He'll be on WOR. Now,
- 32:24Speaker 1: I'm on, you know, 9 to noon every day. It's
- 32:26Speaker 1: a three-hour show now. We start at 9 a.m.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Now.
- 32:29Speaker 1: It's 9 a.m. till noon every day. Then at noon, Buck, Sexton, Clay, Travis,
- 32:33Speaker 1: they do a great show every day. Then at 3 o'clock,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 32:40Speaker 1: Sean Hannity. It's a pretty powerful lineup. You got Jesse
- 32:43Speaker 1: Kelly at 6, and as they say, Jimmy Fallon, 9
- 32:45Speaker 1: to midnight. And of course, In the morning, right before
- 32:48Speaker 1: I come on, it's Curtis Lewin and Larry Minty, 6
- 32:51Speaker 1: to 9 on 710WOR. Now, 9 till noon, weekday.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Smart Simone.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Only on 710WOR. Well, stock market doing very well today.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Oil prices dropping a little. Everybody happy. Fed did raise
- 33:11Speaker 1: the rate a quarter of a point, but that was expected.
- 33:13Speaker 1: It was already built in, and nothing wrong with that. Um,
- 33:17Speaker 1: just a reminder next week is it's a UN general assembly.
- 33:21Speaker 1: It's already underway, but next week is the week where
- 33:23Speaker 1: all the world leaders come in for the UN general assembly.
- 33:26Speaker 1: So next week, it's going to be a traffic nightmare
- 33:30Speaker 1: in Manhattan and not just around the UN. You remember
- 33:33Speaker 1: these guys stay all over the place. Few of them
- 33:35Speaker 1: stay at the Waldorf. Some of them stay at the St. Regis.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Some of them stay at the, at the Plaza, at
- 33:40Speaker 1: the Pierre. So wherever you go, You're going to have
- 33:43Speaker 1: traffic problems because of these world leaders all over New
- 33:46Speaker 1: York City. And the whole thing will be on next week.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I don't want to say where Netanyahu is staying, but
- 33:51Speaker 1: I would imagine there's going to be a lot of
- 33:54Speaker 1: protesting there. Thanks to Crazy Mom Donnie and all these
- 33:58Speaker 1: other anti-Semites ginning up all this stuff. So expect a
- 34:02Speaker 1: lot of protesting and a big traffic nightmare next week.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Not a good week to drive into Manhattan next week.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Just remember, AI is going to kill everybody. Just keep
- 34:13Speaker 1: that in mind. This hoax going on and on, even
- 34:18Speaker 1: dragging Hillary into it. When the 9-11 Commission came out
- 34:23Speaker 1: with its report. So here she compares it to 9-11,
- 34:25Speaker 1: to this, to, it's the next, the climate change hoax
- 34:28Speaker 1: isn't working anymore. They're going to try AI now. Why,
- 34:31Speaker 1: if only we could slow down. If only we could
- 34:34Speaker 1: have guardrails. It's four companies. You're a cartel. You control everything.
- 34:39Speaker 1: You can slow down right now if you want. You
- 34:41Speaker 1: can put in the guardrails at 2 o'clock today if
- 34:43Speaker 1: you just do it. Stop bothering. It's all to scare people.
