  In my opinion, you're the man that, you know, kind of started

  And the wrestling classic. Tell us a little bit about it

  and how it all started. I don't know if I'm the biggest.

  I feel like this Look random accounts and like Saudi Arabia

  and stuff that I like yes. I think I might like if you

  But it's the only thing that's come to mind right now and I'm

  pages on Instagram, on my guy might be like, you know, I was

  And it's so crazy to me now that like, and this has happened a

  lot in recent years. I've gone to like, aw shows or

  new people have been hitting me up because he just broke into

  wrestling. They started training where they

  bump into me someone there, we like, yo, like I've like I've

  gone to the point where kids come up to me and they're like

  2122 now and stuff, but they were like, yo, I've been

  following you since I was like in grade 7 and I'm like, that's

  so weird. That's wild.

  Yeah, it's on Instagram. Posting content like almost

  every single day for the last eight years.

  I don't think I've really ever missed it.

  I've just been a wrestling fan my entire life and I started it.

  WrestleMania match since it's the Road to WrestleMania week

  before WrestleMania. And the first match you

  throughout is the one that we just covered two weeks ago,

  which is Rowdy Roddy. D Piper versus Bret Hart

  WrestleMania 8. We absolutely love that match.

  It's a classic so I asked you to come back for another one so why

  don't you tell us the match you picked?

  So before I tell you guys the match I do want to just point

  I like I mentioned briefly a couple of minutes ago.

  I write articles for 1:37 p.m. and I've written a lot of

  articles about WrestleMania surrounding, hasta Mia.

  The biggest one that update every is ranking all the

  wrestlemanias like, the actual events from my Two least
• 5:07
  favorite but I literally just dropped her article about the 40
• 5:10
  greatest Wrestlemania matches in my opinion.

  So when you asked me this question, I went back and looked

  at that list because I'm like, what are some matches that are
• 5:20
  very underappreciated or might not get that much time as they
• 5:23
  deserve either because they fell in a bad WrestleMania or they
• 5:27
  want to really stack card or they're just one of those
• 5:31
  matches that I thought, Piper and Brett, which is highly
• 5:34
  acclaimed to a lot of people. But at the same same time, it's
• 5:37
  not talked about as much for some reason.

  Capito Bret Hart's, other matches at WrestleMania but then
• 5:42
  when you gave me the task of think about other ones one that
• 5:46
  really stood out to me and because I was there personals
• 5:50
  there live my first WrestleMania as an adult I went to AT&T
• 5:54
  Stadium for Wrestlemania. 32 first WrestleMania is the
• 5:58
  wrestling, clásicos a big deal and I'll I was like a really big

  Sasha Banks mark and it was a trip with your head between
• 6:05
  Sasha Banks. Charlotte.

  And Becky Lynch were they were tired, the Divas title and they
• 6:09
  introduced the women's title. That being said I told you this
• 6:13
  match. I picked this match next know.

  Those are Charlotte Legends any documentary.

  That's fucking. Yeah.

  Right. I I didn't get to watch yet.

  Yeah. And I think a lot more people

  are talking about it but that was personally I meant something

  to you. Yeah, if you look back at the

  history of WrestleMania, right, there's something really weird

  that happened. Obviously like 2014 15 and 16.

  They finally literally from the moment I start on my page, I

  think those like a Resurgence and women's wrestling in terms
• 6:45
  of what popularity. And I also um, you know, the
• 6:48
  women's Revolution, Let's just say what they call it.
• 6:50
  Riley rise, a Revolution going on.
• 6:51
  And I would say there was four things that really made, that
• 6:56
  Revolution a thing at least for me, I can't speak on behalf of
• 6:59
  everyone, but I think they would agree with At least one of these
• 7:01
  four things one, I think the W is really fond of what Ronda
• 7:06
  Rousey was doing in the MMA world for women in combat
• 7:09
  Sports. I think they saw that and they
• 7:10
  were like, oh, we should get on this this, you know, this trend
• 7:14
  of women empowerment and combats like we should make our women
• 7:18
  feel like, the Ronda Rousey's of the world because she was like
• 7:20
  the face of URC as a female for a bit.
• 7:23
  There number two, a lot of people won't agree with this
• 7:26
  one, but I think it was a bigger deal than a lot of people.

  No, because I took advantage of it when I was born my page
• 7:34
  because I used to watch with my ex-girlfriend and that's Total
• 7:36
  Divas it bought a whole plethora fans into rustling and there's a
• 7:40
  lot of women I've talked to, in the past.

  You know, eight years of writing this page where it's either, you
• 7:46
  know, what do you know about wrestling or they know what I
• 7:49
  find out what I'm doing with the rest.

  Going to put, oh I used to watch Total Divas in total, Bella's or
• 7:53
  this people that became wrestling fans in.

  Like, how did you get into in the logo?

  Used to watch Total Divas and then I just want to actually see
• 7:58
  the show. So I give that a lot of credit.

  Three. I don't think I think people

  underestimate it and I made a post about it, not too long ago,

  on our birthday. But I think the rise of AJ Lee
• 8:07
  and her being involved in male storylines and then going for
• 8:10
  the Divas title afterwards made us invested in ages that we
• 8:13
  followed along because prior to AJ Lee.
• 8:15
  I know giggling out the belt and that's who she be.
• 8:17
  But prior to that I can name him when I probably one that Divas
• 8:20
  title. I can't tell you who do you who
• 8:23
  and when okay here, yep. Yeah.

  And then I was like a diva's paying attention.

  Yeah. But the last but not least was
• 8:40
  the movement that was happening on NXT.
• 8:42
  And I don't know what it was. I was immediately drawn to Sasha
• 8:46
  Banks and to be honest, I was also immediately drawn to
• 8:48
  Charlotte Flair and Page. I'll give her credit to and them
• 8:51
  page was killing you. And I see a shoe, but those
• 8:53
  three are the ones I was immediately drawn to when I when
• 8:56
  I was watching an XT and hearing, oh I'm not in Canada
• 8:59
  right now. But in Canada prior to the
• 9:03
  network, we always had honesty. It just played on the same
• 9:06
  channel is wrong Smackdown. So like that those early I toss
• 9:10
  it obvious of NXT where there was like Ricky Steamboat son and
• 9:14
  everybody like we had that right EV every Wednesday because
• 9:17
  actually what a Tuesday I think was back then and then we play
• 9:19
  on Saturdays in the morning, we just got an iced tea.

  So I watched it from the point where Sasha was like a little
• 9:24
  blonde, girl, skipping down the ramp.
• 9:25
  And then, yeah, turned evil will summary.

  And, and yes, really. They formed the BFF Laughs, like
• 9:31
  I was there for that entire journey and I was a big sausage
• 9:33
  out of the three of them Sasha was my favorite.
• 9:36
  I always thought Charlie was extremely talented and athletic
• 9:39
  and she wasn't Charlotte for that.
• 9:40
  She was when she got to the main roster at that point.
• 9:42
  But she stood out to me but I was drawn to Sasha Sasha that
• 9:46
  personality in that character. Oh yeah and and those I'm sorry
• 9:50
  and those Sasha and Bailey matches of of course hundred
• 9:53
  crazy. Oh yeah I think Sasha and Malia
• 9:56
  to NXT takeover Brooklyn to is like my favorite women's match
• 9:59
  of all time. Still this is not your pocket

  right now is probably like number two or three.

  I'd have to like look at it by. No that one's number one, for
• 10:07
  sure. Because I was the first like,
• 10:08
  women's match. I remember watching.
• 10:10
  And this, there was a lot of good women's matches at the
• 10:12
  time, but it just like that. One was like, See, I've always
• 10:16
  considered myself a story line character, yet more than like a
• 10:19
  wrestling in the ring all the time.

  But I'm like, did I was invested in the story?
• 10:22
  I was invested in both characters and they told me a
• 10:25
  story in their rent. That's the best wrestler.

  Yeah. They they made you feel
• 10:29
  something in that match, man. I know that's not the whole park
• 10:31
  match but like going down the same path like just thinking
• 10:35
  about that Bailey Sasha match was just absolutely incredible.

  You're glued to the television screen and at that point in time
• 10:42
  you never got that from the women's matches.
• 10:43
  Especially if you were just Snoo to the NXT scene and coming in
• 10:47
  and you were just following along at that point.
• 10:49
  And we were lucky enough to go to a lot of the NXT Brooklyn
• 10:53
  shows. And, you know, that's SummerSlam
• 10:55
  run that happened and going down to Brooklyn every year.
• 10:58
  But man, like, those really change the pace and change the
• 11:02
  tone at what a women's wrestling match.
• 11:04
  Really was. And kicked off the revolution in
• 11:06
  my eyes for sure. And we're not talking about that
• 11:10
  Matt specifically. So, I'm not going to step away
• 11:11
  from that. Not about will say, I do find it
• 11:13
  really, I find It even like interesting.

  Like I remember it was either an interview or maybe it was
• 11:20
  Bailey's live stream when she was doing a live stream for some
• 11:22
  charity. But she brought up the fact that
• 11:24
  it like Indie Hartwell always says that she got into wrestling
• 11:27
  because of that match and like why the hell.

  Yeah. That way.

  You know, like that wasn't right.

  Yeah, it's so crazy. That's the like and then all of

  course, a good. The younger girls at court in
• 11:38
  rocks and probably say stuff like that.

  Who knows? But right, it's so I went in

  there and I'll see For me, like I wanted Sasha, when I don't
• 11:47
  know, if you guys remember basashi, just meet her return.

  That were Rumble. All right, Matt, Charlotte had,

  and they did this thing. Those are the rumors that has to
• 11:54
  be back. He and Sasha Bruce Charlotte and
• 11:58
  knowing the Sasha story and hearing it a bunch of times

  since that point and about how she wanted it to be a women's
• 12:04
  division again, and not a Divas Division.
• 12:06
  And then on the kickoff, they talked about that lead
• 12:08
  introduced the women's title and I was like, oh, like this is
• 12:10
  happening, the right. If you like, first things first
• 12:14
  being there, I know a lot of people talk trash about that
• 12:18
  WrestleMania like WrestleMania 32 wasn't the right kind of a
• 12:21
  letdown so around your nose injured.

  Seth was injured eccentric cetera, as someone who grew up
• 12:28
  as a little kid during the Attitude Era and like the early
• 12:31
  2000's. Like, I got to see Triple H Main
• 12:35
  Event right Mania. I got to see The Undertaker's
• 12:37
  dead men. Entrance actually, Shane jump
• 12:38
  off something. I gotta be a stone cold.
• 12:41
  I got to Shawn Michaels. Yes.
• 12:43
  Well like I was a pretty good WrestleMania.
• 12:45
  Yeah, I'd say so. You got all the hits.

  And then I just never went to, like, you never have to see all
• 13:08
  these guys, again, and the one thing I never got to see The
• 13:11
  Undertaker. WrestleMania.

  So, all of that was really special and could have been.

  I do think I was a really good WrestleMania for you to kind of
• 13:26
  look back at it without such -. Yeah.

  But the thing that stood out to me, the most was the fact that
• 13:33
  for the first time in years, the women's match actually, felt
• 13:37
  special. It felt like a banana.

  Yes, I'm not dissing Mickie, James, and Trish, and all the
• 13:42
  women's matches AJ Lee's invitationals, and all the
• 13:45
  women's matches that came before, but they never really
• 13:47
  had like that. Like, I, I think I know they
• 13:51
  were pushing Roman to the moon, and the trying to do all that,
• 13:53
  like, they could have got away with having these two women main
• 13:56
  event that night and if you want, would have been okay.

  Yes. And they could have had the
• 14:01
  night, and we're Charlotte Sasha, and Becky, and people
• 14:04
  would have stayed for it. Yeah, I agree 100%.

  Yeah, they didn't need to wait till 35.

  Yeah. Like the people ready for that

  and it's on one thing. That always be a bomber was

  Bailey was involved because I do sucks.

  We never got the The Four Horsemen fatal 4-way on the main

  roster. Still happen one day but who

  knows but just have those three there and Becky was in a weird

  place that Becky was yes sir. So like if you look back against

  it seem like a big deal because like Charlotte came out there
• 14:33
  big, elaborate answer, it's walked as a champion, had a dad

  with her a robe. That would kind of represented
• 14:40
  her dad's robe in the retirement match.

  A lot of significance there, Bailey came in.

  Steampunk entrance. Pretty basic nothing to yeah.

  Yeah. I mean at that point already and

  then the other side the confetti and Snoop Dogg I thought the

  same thing when you're on to when they did their entrances I

  almost forgot. Like Shield also had that

  steampunk gimmick but you also look like she was from like

  Pirates of the Caribbean or something which I really forgot

  about. She had like the dreads in her

  hair. Okey Feather and yeah, I can't

  even imagine trying to wrestle in a corset like that to you
• 15:26
  forever. It looks so super uncomfortable
• 15:30
  and of course I can't say I've ever worn a course it before.

  But yeah, it looks that looks super uncomfortable but for me
• 15:37
  like I'm gonna rewind a little bit to what Justin was saying
• 15:39
  with with Sasha Banks and watching how important this
• 15:43
  match was to Sasha like got me instantly invested again.

  Yeah, I full transparency, I watched the Wrong match at first
• 15:51
  and I watched the 35 match and Nick was like, dude, I looked in
• 15:54
  the dock I saw your notes. You did the wrong magic.

  All right cool. So I watch this one again and

  when Lita they're talking about leader leader comes out.

  They show the package of her announcing that it's going to be

  the women's title. She standing in the ring and the
• 16:10
  beginning and then Lilian Garcia is introducing that this match

  will be for the WWE Women's Championship and and Sasha is

  Trying to hold back a smile and she just can't do ya do it.

  It's so important to her. It feels it.

  Makes this match feel even more historic.

  Now looking back than it did in the moment and I think that that

  certainly helps the the The Lure of this and just kind of going
• 16:37
  back and seeing it again. But man the intensity in the

  importance of this match like instantly had me glued to the
• 16:43
  television again and I'm so thankful.

  You chose this match? Hell yeah it had to be the best
• 16:47
  match of the night. I mean the live shows.

  Fun. But I feel like that has to be

  the best match of. Yeah.

  Yeah I went back that that was a that was a long Mania to like

  that was one of the early first ones that people started like.

  Okay this is ridiculous that it's like we're going on like a

  six-hour Russell. I went to nothing but long

  Wrestlemania, 32 34 35, right? And nobody would have

  complained. Yeah, I don't think so at all.

  Everybody was ready for it. Yeah.

  And there were the center of the poster on the stadium.

  Yeah. They were the biggest deal and
• 17:30
  and I'm not saying this because I listen, I'm a really big salt.

  Charlotte Flair fan to work. Actually, I'm not a never been a

  show later, right? Always like Charlotte Flair.

  He'll Babyface. I think, you know, she's got,

  she's out of overtime. Yeah.

  Like you know, I didn't like it when she's still like do her

  dad's yelling promos but now she talks normally, but other than
• 17:48
  that, like, she's always been good.

  And I think she's, she has the hardest job trying to break out

  of that. Shadow will not be repairs

  daughter and all of that. And I think decisions like

  having her win that night, made her gave her more heat.

  night. It was Sanchez night and I know

  disappointed by Sasha losing, it was usually a Charlotte Flair

  reviewing old. WWE matches, WCW matches and

  like, they speculated so much scrubbing on the network that

  like God. If you sit there and you're like

  dude this is so different than what I like this.

  When it comes to WrestleMania sure that might be some people

  that didn't jump on the women's Revolution right away were that

  prepared to see these through and steal the show like that.

  They went out there with a motive and I think that was the

  steal the show, one of the best match of the bad weather.

  You know, they were not happy about winning or not winning.

  Yeah. But I like that.

  They have the goal to go out there and steal the show and I

  think they did that. Not moonsault.

  She's done it almost. I think every WrestleMania.

  So definitely. It was a big moment.

  Also, I got to give credit to like, you know, the road flare

  kind of played in this match. I think you took a dive.
