• 2:20
Speaker 3: It's Millie Snyder. You doing, Millie?
• 2:22
Speaker 4: Good morning? How are you.
• 2:23
Speaker 3: Welcome to the show? Welcome to the new I love this.
• 2:25
Speaker 4: I could just sit here and stare. What'd you call it? Simulated?
• 2:30
Speaker 3: Genuine, simulated brick? And we say genuine is beautiful as
• 2:34
Speaker 3: a nod to one of my favorite shows growing up
• 2:37
Speaker 3: Green Acres. You know, a genuine simulated brick?
• 2:41
  Speaker 2: You know?
• 2:41
Speaker 4: I have a shirt from one of the TV shows.
• 2:45
Speaker 4: I can't think of it now, but anyway, Oh, Gomer Piles,
• 2:48
Speaker 4: not Goomer Piles. Anyway, I'll let's change the subject. I've
• 2:53
  Speaker 4: lost that thought.
• 2:54
Speaker 3: Have you been doing? I'm doing wonderfully well, doing well.
• 2:57
Speaker 4: Yes, increasing exercise and people tell me I look good.
• 3:03
  Speaker 4: That's because I actually live the Mediterranean lifestyle. I don't
• 3:08
Speaker 4: just talk about it.
• 3:09
Speaker 3: I know I actually do it. Not only what is
• 3:12
Speaker 3: the commercial used to say? Not only am I a client,
• 3:15
Speaker 3: I'm also a customer. That's what they used to say
• 3:17
Speaker 3: and something at one point. Yes, I forgot what it was.
• 3:20
Speaker 3: But our brains are not collectively worth the thing that
• 3:23
Speaker 3: really is your coffee. Over a little bit there.
• 3:26
Speaker 4: I spill it. I'm not going to get a second invatation.
• 3:29
Speaker 3: No, it's just I'm just telling you that if you
• 3:30
Speaker 3: knock somewhere, you know, knock something over in here, can
• 3:33
Speaker 3: ken tennant is not going to be happy because we're
• 3:36
Speaker 3: not technically supposed to even have drinks in here.
• 3:38
Speaker 4: So yes, I okay, so I will. Now I'm afraid
• 3:42
  Speaker 4: to move.
• 3:42
Speaker 3: I said, as I have my cup of coffee over
• 3:44
Speaker 3: here myself, but it's well off into the distance. So
• 3:47
Speaker 3: so are we've established that we're both doing well, that
• 3:50
Speaker 3: we are. Springtime. You like spring, spring, spring, summer, But I.
• 3:53
Speaker 4: Don't like about the sun coming in into my kitchen. See,
• 3:57
  Speaker 4: I have a a there's a wonderful dog. My daughter's
• 4:00
Speaker 4: dog is at my house. So every step she takes,
• 4:04
Speaker 4: she leaves leaves fur. Then the sun comes in and
• 4:07
Speaker 4: I see fur all over my kitchen. So I am
• 4:10
Speaker 4: compelled to get the vacuum and immediately suck it down well,
• 4:15
Speaker 4: I mean, and I love the sun, I love the spring.
• 4:18
Speaker 3: It could be worse things they would be leaving behind
• 4:20
  Speaker 3: them besides fur.
• 4:21
Speaker 4: Yeah this is true, but no, she's housebroken, thank you.
• 4:24
Speaker 3: Speaking of which we're hoping fingers crossed later in the
• 4:30
Speaker 3: afternoon show that Amanda Baron and I do, we're going
• 4:34
Speaker 3: to get a visit in studio today. The plan is
• 4:38
Speaker 3: from Senator Jim Justice and really and possibly baby dog.
• 4:43
Speaker 4: Well, that's very studio in this very very exciting. Of course,
• 4:47
Speaker 4: I'm more excited that you're going to see baby dog.
• 4:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe I would.
• 4:52
Speaker 4: I don't want to talk politics, but I would love to. However,
• 4:55
Speaker 4: I hope that Senator just this will take better care
• 5:02
Speaker 4: of his dog because I'm concerned about the dog's weight.
• 5:07
Speaker 4: And they say that a dog will have a shorter
• 5:09
Speaker 4: lifespan the fattery is and the longer lifespan, the leaner
• 5:15
Speaker 4: they are. By the way, that also applies to human beings.
• 5:18
Speaker 3: Unsfamiliar and one of the.
• 5:20
Speaker 4: Things that really got my attention, but not in a
• 5:23
Speaker 4: positive way, in a very angry, negative way, is this
• 5:28
Speaker 4: whole thing that went down with fat shaming. Okay, and
• 5:32
Speaker 4: there is absolutely no room in this world for that
• 5:37
Speaker 4: because every person with a weight problem knows they have
• 5:42
Speaker 4: a weight problem. What good possibly can come from someone
• 5:47
Speaker 4: saying you're fat, you ought to do something about it.
• 5:52
Speaker 4: Everybody with that weight issue knows that.
• 5:55
Speaker 3: I'm presuming you're talking about the RFK.
• 5:57
Speaker 4: I am indeed talking about that.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: It's made toward Governor Morrissey a couple of weeks ago, and.
• 6:04
Speaker 4: The governor and that would take a little bit of
• 6:07
Speaker 4: time to do. However, all I'm talking about not so
• 6:11
Speaker 4: much RFK addressing Morrissey, but that as a general statement,
• 6:17
Speaker 4: we need to apply genuine compassion and realize that fat
• 6:22
Speaker 4: shaming is not a fix. It's not the antidote. The
• 6:26
Speaker 4: antidote is to learn how to eat, and learn how
• 6:30
Speaker 4: to eat in a positive way.
• 6:32
  Speaker 3: I mean, I presume, and I agree with you, I
• 6:34
Speaker 3: presume that that would be pretty much the same with
• 6:37
Speaker 3: any any bad habit. I mean, if somebody, somebody's had
• 6:40
Speaker 3: a little too much to drink in there and there,
• 6:42
Speaker 3: as we used to say, pray into the porcelain gods.
• 6:45
Speaker 3: You know, you don't need to look at them and
• 6:46
Speaker 3: go you really need to stop that. I think they
• 6:48
Speaker 3: kind of know that. And the same with with people
• 6:52
Speaker 3: that have a little way in the day. And that's
• 6:54
Speaker 3: what I like about you. You don't. You preached this
• 6:57
Speaker 3: Mediterranean lifestyle and you talk about it, and you offer
• 7:00
Speaker 3: the classes, and you've written the books and you've done
• 7:02
Speaker 3: all the things over the years. But I've never once
• 7:04
Speaker 3: heard you come out and ridicule someone. Your issue is
• 7:11
Speaker 3: more with the foods, with the drugs that we're going
• 7:14
Speaker 3: to talk about here. Momentarily. I want to, I want
• 7:17
Speaker 3: to get into that, but it's not with the individual. No,
• 7:21
  Speaker 3: it's never okay.
• 7:23
Speaker 4: And what a lot of people and I didn't make
• 7:25
Speaker 4: it a public thing, but in the forty four years
• 7:27
Speaker 4: that I was privileged to be the franchisee for Weight Watchers,
• 7:31
Speaker 4: there were many people who physically could not come into
• 7:35
Speaker 4: our meeting room. They were home bound and in some
• 7:39
Speaker 4: cases stuck in their bed, and I would go to
• 7:43
Speaker 4: their house, and we owned in our freight department, because
• 7:47
Speaker 4: we did a lot of shipping to various locations a
• 7:50
Speaker 4: freight scale, and I would have that freight scale delivered
• 7:53
Speaker 4: to that person's home so that we could find out
• 7:57
Speaker 4: how much they weighed, and then I would put them
• 8:01
Speaker 4: on the then Weight Watchers program. And I had one
• 8:05
Speaker 4: lady who lost one hundred and five pounds she could breathe.
• 8:08
Speaker 4: I had another person who lost one hundred and ten
• 8:11
Speaker 4: and the fact that I would go to their house
• 8:13
Speaker 4: and somebody said, oh, I bet you charged them a
• 8:15
Speaker 4: lot of money. I didn't. It wasn't about making money.
• 8:19
Speaker 4: It was about an outreach of humanity, and I had
• 8:24
Speaker 4: success in Logan. I had a gentleman who had also
• 8:28
Speaker 4: very very high numbers, and so that freight scale which
• 8:32
Speaker 4: was transported down to Logan, we had it in a
• 8:35
Speaker 4: separate room because nobody need it to stand there and
• 8:40
Speaker 4: gawk and see what those numbers were. So that gives
• 8:44
Speaker 4: you something to talk about. The point is there was
• 8:47
Speaker 4: an outreach of compassion and help, and if you don't
• 8:51
Speaker 4: have anything nice to say, please say nothing. It would
• 8:54
  Speaker 4: be appreciated.
• 8:55
Speaker 3: Do you think that over the last you know, twenty
• 8:58
Speaker 3: years or so. And I'm not a big television person
• 9:00
Speaker 3: in any way, but especially not a big reality television
• 9:03
Speaker 3: do you think that the advent of these shows and
• 9:05
Speaker 3: I'm going to get the titles wrong because I'm just
• 9:07
Speaker 3: I see them and I scan through my six hundred
• 9:10
Speaker 3: pound life or something like that, do you think that
• 9:12
Speaker 3: these shows glorify that sort of thing. Do you think
• 9:16
Speaker 3: that that that it's vilifies, glorifies whatever.
• 9:22
Speaker 4: I would like to think that some people get some
• 9:25
Speaker 4: kind of help, but I don't see help coming from that.
• 9:28
Speaker 4: I think people glalk and they say, did you see that?
• 9:31
Speaker 4: Did you watch that show? I think I watched my
• 9:34
Speaker 4: six hundred pound life once.
• 9:35
  Speaker 3: That's what it's called.
• 9:37
Speaker 4: My heart hurt, because that's not living, that's existing.
• 9:42
Speaker 3: All right, I'm gonna need you to put the headphones
• 9:44
Speaker 3: on because we have a phone call. Good, No, we
• 9:46
Speaker 3: have a phone call Ryan. If you're ready, go ahead,
• 9:48
Speaker 3: says our friend Jim. Go ahead and put Jim on
• 9:50
Speaker 3: the air with us.
• 9:51
Speaker 5: Go ahead, Hello, really, hell are you?
• 9:55
Speaker 4: I'm fine, Jim? How are you well?
• 9:59
Speaker 5: Pretty well? Oh, I'm in a nursing home now. But
• 10:02
Speaker 5: I had a question about the Mediterranean and my diabetes. Well, Jim,
• 10:11
Speaker 5: is there something that I can do to lower my
• 10:15
Speaker 5: blood sugar? Because the best I've been able to do
• 10:19
Speaker 5: since I've been in here is two hundred and two
• 10:23
Speaker 5: and too it's the kitchen, but I don't know that
• 10:28
  Speaker 5: for sure.
• 10:29
Speaker 4: Well, the nursing home people, first of all, let me
• 10:31
Speaker 4: tell you I'm delighted to hear your voice because I
• 10:34
Speaker 4: was looking at some old pictures when you used to
• 10:36
Speaker 4: come into the Shape Shop, and I wondered where you
• 10:40
Speaker 4: were and what you were doing. So I'm really happy
• 10:42
Speaker 4: to hear your voice. But your kitchen personnel needs to
• 10:46
Speaker 4: get in touch with me, and I would explain to
• 10:50
Speaker 4: them what they need to do for you to follow
• 10:53
Speaker 4: the Mediterranean lifestyle and what that involves is eating clean food,
• 10:58
Speaker 4: nothing with preservatives, and you don't need sugar in anything
• 11:03
Speaker 4: because sugar is not our friend. So if you could
• 11:06
Speaker 4: get in touch with them to get in touch with me,
• 11:09
Speaker 4: I would be delighted to give them some valuable information.
• 11:14
Speaker 5: Okay, what's the number that they should contact.
• 11:20
Speaker 3: I'll tell you what we'll do. Jim, what we'll do,
• 11:22
Speaker 3: I mean, because you don't have the Shape Shop number anymore.
• 11:25
  Speaker 3: I know I didn't know if you still Okay, we'll
• 11:28
Speaker 3: get you the number. How's that, Jim? Will Well, I'll
• 11:31
Speaker 3: make sure Ryan gets you the number, or I'll get
• 11:33
Speaker 3: to get you the number.
• 11:33
Speaker 5: Okay, appreciate it, really take care all right.
• 11:38
Speaker 4: Wonderful to hear your voice.
• 11:39
Speaker 3: We appreciate it all right. Before we let you go.
• 11:41
Speaker 3: By the way, text here says good morning to you
• 11:43
Speaker 3: and Millie. Millie is always very inspiring, says a texture,
• 11:47
Speaker 3: Thank you very much. All right, So, how's a war
• 11:49
Speaker 3: in a pharmaceutical business going.
• 11:51
  Speaker 4: Oh, it's a war. It's not getting any better. I
• 11:55
Speaker 4: have to tell you that people are looking for miracles,
• 11:59
Speaker 4: and the miracles need to come from themselves. They need
• 12:01
Speaker 4: to learn how to eat, because what we haven't heard
• 12:05
Speaker 4: is the stories of how people are suffering from the
• 12:09
Speaker 4: after effects or the living effects of these drugs. Of
• 12:15
Speaker 4: our current administration is not going to pay for them,
• 12:20
Speaker 4: the weight loss drugs, so we're back to square one,
• 12:24
Speaker 4: where the people have to pay for them themselves, and
• 12:27
Speaker 4: unless the costs have come down, I don't think that
• 12:31
Speaker 4: it's going to help anything. But I haven't gotten all
• 12:34
Speaker 4: the facts around that particular piece. But the thing that
• 12:38
Speaker 4: is very important is any kind of drug to reduce
• 12:43
Speaker 4: body weight is not a fix. We need to learn
• 12:46
Speaker 4: how to eat, and the Mediterranean lifestyle is the thing
• 12:49
Speaker 4: to do. I know you say, oh, well, you know
• 12:52
Speaker 4: you're the owner of that. I don't own Mediterranean. Mediterranean
• 12:56
Speaker 4: has been around forever. In fact, I think Jesus a
• 13:00
Speaker 4: this way. Unless you know what supermarket he went to.
• 13:03
Speaker 3: I thought very very good way to put it. By
• 13:06
Speaker 3: the way, Textra says, I think you're thinking of hairclub
• 13:08
Speaker 3: for men. When we said the line about not only
• 13:11
Speaker 3: am I a client, I'm mostly the owner. Not only
• 13:15
  Speaker 3: i'm the owner, I'm also a client. I think that's
• 13:16
Speaker 3: what it was. I appreciate the texture. It was hairclub
• 13:18
Speaker 3: for men. Let me finish on this. On the pharmaceutical industry.
• 13:22
Speaker 3: Someone in this building I'm not going to mention their name,
• 13:25
Speaker 3: but the other day the discussion came up about these
• 13:28
Speaker 3: weight loss drugs or simpic and all these other things,
• 13:31
Speaker 3: and somebody said, well, my doctor put me on that. Now,
• 13:35
Speaker 3: Look I am not you know, when we battled all
• 13:38
Speaker 3: this with COVID and battling doctors and battling I'm not
• 13:40
Speaker 3: going to get into all that, however, not I mean,
• 13:43
Speaker 3: and I have all the respect in the world for
• 13:45
Speaker 3: a medical medical community. My sister is a nurse. However,
• 13:48
Speaker 3: just because your doctor tells you to do something doesn't
• 13:51
Speaker 3: mean it's the right thing. Elvis, a whole lot of
• 13:55
Speaker 3: different athletes that are in the ground now because of
• 13:58
Speaker 3: the amount of oxy conton that they were given. A
• 14:00
Speaker 3: lot of normal people absolutely that we're in the ground
• 14:02
Speaker 3: because of oxyconton right now that are so My point
• 14:05
Speaker 3: is is just just because the medical community tells you
• 14:07
Speaker 3: it's the right thing to do, it may not necessarily
• 14:09
Speaker 3: be the right thing to do because they're also in
• 14:12
  Speaker 3: a business, Dave.
• 14:13
Speaker 4: In the years when Fenn Fenn was out, doctors came
• 14:17
Speaker 4: out of retirement so they could rehang their shingle so
• 14:20
Speaker 4: that they could get in on the money making time
• 14:23
Speaker 4: of being able to dispense the pills. It's no different
• 14:26
Speaker 4: than prescribing these shots, whether it be Ozembig or Regovi
• 14:33
Speaker 4: or I mean there's so many of them there, I
• 14:35
Speaker 4: think three or four. The point is if you don't
• 14:39
Speaker 4: learn how and what to eat, then you're not going
• 14:43
Speaker 4: to make any changes. And there's a new piece of
• 14:45
Speaker 4: information this week. And what amazes me every week there's
• 14:50
Speaker 4: something new that we need to learn. The information that
• 14:53
Speaker 4: I'm going to be sharing in my group this coming
• 14:56
Speaker 4: well tomorrow morning on Thursday, is we need to stop
• 14:59
Speaker 4: eating processed foods because there's definite research that processed foods
• 15:05
Speaker 4: could actually aid and abet dementia. When I was growing up,
• 15:10
Speaker 4: I never heard about dementia or Alzheimer's, and I in
• 15:13
Speaker 4: no way make light of those problems. But it used
• 15:17
Speaker 4: to be called hardening of the arteries.
• 15:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the old term. Yeah, or they just
• 15:21
Speaker 3: say somebody was senile.
• 15:23
Speaker 4: That was they used to use and so processed foods,
• 15:27
Speaker 4: things that have chemicals in them. Fast foods that are
• 15:31
Speaker 4: so very processed are doing nothing for the quality of
• 15:35
Speaker 4: our life. And if a doctor says, well you should
• 15:39
Speaker 4: take the shots, the doctor doesn't know any more about
• 15:42
Speaker 4: what to do, and chances are he needs to learn
• 15:45
Speaker 4: how to eat as well. Or the doctor could be
• 15:47
Speaker 4: a she. There are so many people who have serious
• 15:51
Speaker 4: weight problems that are degrading the value of their life.
• 15:55
Speaker 3: All Right, we got to leave it there. Millie Snyder,
• 15:58

• 18:26
Speaker 3: Thank you for being here. Story posted, We'll get right
• 18:29
Speaker 3: to it at WV metronews dot com. Yesterday a ceremony
• 18:32
Speaker 3: held in Ripley, the governor traveling to Ripley to sign
• 18:36
Speaker 3: legislation as it pertains to disruptive kids in the classrooms
• 18:40
Speaker 3: and how to deal with them. You are the lead
• 18:42
Speaker 3: sponsor of the bill.
• 18:43
Speaker 9: Tell us about it, yes, sir, I started. I started
• 18:46
Speaker 9: that actually last year and didn't get across the finish
• 18:50
Speaker 9: line due to a lot of different circumstances. But we
• 18:53
Speaker 9: came up with a better bill this year. And so
• 18:56
Speaker 9: this helps teachers in a K through sixth setting to
• 19:01
Speaker 9: have more say and whether they feel their classroom is
• 19:03
Speaker 9: unsafe because of a student's behavior. We're not talking about
• 19:08
Speaker 9: day probably the kind of student you were, you know,
• 19:10
Speaker 9: a little squirrely and caused on a little bit of
• 19:13
Speaker 9: mischief in the classroom. We're talking about students who really
• 19:18
Speaker 9: just show violent behaviors and intimidating behaviors and behaviors that
• 19:23
Speaker 9: really do create an unsafe learning space.
• 19:25
Speaker 3: And I think and I appreciate you saying that, because again,
• 19:28
Speaker 3: old people like me, you know, we sit around and
• 19:30
Speaker 3: we go, what do you mean they're they're talking they're
• 19:32
Speaker 3: chewing gum, they're you know, they're skipping class occasionally something
• 19:35
Speaker 3: like that. There, this is not what you're talking about, Senator.
• 19:40
Speaker 9: No, we have we have kindergarteners right now, Dave, that
• 19:42
Speaker 9: are throwing chairs across the classroom. We have you know,
• 19:46
Speaker 9: little kids seven year old who are punching and hitting
• 19:49
Speaker 9: and kicking teachers and other students. And these are the
• 19:54
Speaker 9: kind of behaviors we're talking about. You know, when we
• 19:56
Speaker 9: did a survey last not this past year, but last year,
• 20:00
Speaker 9: the legislature did a survey, the Department of Education at
• 20:02
Speaker 9: a survey and the teachers unions all did a survey.
• 20:04
Speaker 9: And the results of that survey to teachers with what
• 20:06
Speaker 9: would you like to see the legislature deal with the
• 20:09
Speaker 9: number one issue? They all said discipline in the classrooms.
• 20:12
Speaker 9: And so this is a direct result of what they
• 20:15
Speaker 9: asked us to do. And I think it's a really
• 20:17
Speaker 9: good bill because it provides some opportunities for these kids
• 20:21
Speaker 9: to change their behavior before we remove them from the school, because,
• 20:25
Speaker 9: let's face it, we're talking about seven year olds and
• 20:27
Speaker 9: they deserve a second chance.
• 20:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, and again, this is a major problem. And anytime
• 20:35
Speaker 3: that you get political figures, the teachers, unions, everybody on
• 20:38
Speaker 3: the same page. You realize what an issue we have,
• 20:41
Speaker 3: and we can we can try to break it down
• 20:44
Speaker 3: as a societal issue and point fingers and whatever. But
• 20:47
Speaker 3: the bottom line, some of you teachers, and as I
• 20:49
Speaker 3: said at the top of the show, people know you.
• 20:51
Speaker 3: You are a teacher by trade. Some of these teachers
• 20:55
Speaker 3: are practically in West Virginia, Senator, going into a war
• 21:00
  Speaker 3: zone every day.
• 21:01
Speaker 9: Oh absolutely. And I can't think of another profession where
• 21:05
Speaker 9: you would be expected to allow somebody to beat on
• 21:08
Speaker 9: you or hit on you and just just have to
• 21:10
Speaker 9: ignore it, you know. And we shouldn't have to as
• 21:13
Speaker 9: teachers either. And you know this is the number one driver,
• 21:15
Speaker 9: Dave of teachers leaving the profession. It's not the it's
• 21:18
Speaker 9: not the salary, it's not the requirements. It is the
• 21:23
Speaker 9: fact that we have to deal with behaviors like this,
• 21:25
Speaker 9: and it drives more teachers away than keeps them here.
• 21:30
Speaker 3: Talking to Senator Amy Nicole Grady the Dave aland showing
• 21:33
Speaker 3: five Any Life brought to you inmpired by Morgan to Morgan,
• 21:35
Speaker 3: America's largest injury law firm, Injured. This is for thepeople
• 21:38
Speaker 3: dot Com Uh, let's talk about the recently wrapped up
• 21:41
Speaker 3: session overall your thoughts.
• 21:43
Speaker 9: You know, I've heard a lot from people. I felt
• 21:46
Speaker 9: like this session was exhausting for a lot of different reasons.
• 21:49
Speaker 9: You know, we had a major change in leadership the
• 21:52
Speaker 9: Senate body. We had about a third of the members change,
• 21:55
Speaker 9: so that changes the makeup and how things work. And
• 21:57
Speaker 9: you you know, you're trying to work hard to developed
• 22:00
Speaker 9: relationships and also pass legislation, and that makes it a
• 22:02
Speaker 9: little bit harder. But I've heard from a lot of
• 22:04
Speaker 9: people who have been frustrated and said we didn't get
• 22:06
Speaker 9: anything accomplished. And then I've also heard from people who
• 22:09
Speaker 9: said they were happy with how session went. I think
• 22:12
Speaker 9: what we really mostly did this year were social issues,
• 22:16
Speaker 9: and I think in the past we haven't focused much
• 22:18
Speaker 9: on those, and so the people that were looking for
• 22:20
Speaker 9: social issues were happy with the session, and those who
• 22:23
Speaker 9: were looking for more business type legislation felt like we
• 22:27
Speaker 9: didn't get anything accomplished. So I think it depends on
• 22:29
  Speaker 9: your perspective.
• 22:30
Speaker 3: We uh, yesterday talked about a little bit on the
• 22:33
Speaker 3: show and the group, and I'm not trying to put
• 22:36
Speaker 3: pit you against them or anything like that. I'm just
• 22:38
Speaker 3: saying it was a statement came out from the group's
• 22:40
Speaker 3: Citizens Against Lostity Abuse that simply said worst session ever.
• 22:44
Speaker 9: I've heard that. I've seen that on several occasions, and
• 22:47
Speaker 9: just like and just like I said, I think it was.
• 22:50
Speaker 9: It was. Like I said, it was probably my most
• 22:52
Speaker 9: exhausting session. I'll tell you that. But I think it
• 22:54
Speaker 9: depends on the perspective it really does. You know, I
• 22:57
Speaker 9: always focus a lot on education related issues, and I
• 22:59
Speaker 9: feel like we really passed a lot of things that
• 23:02
Speaker 9: can help with our education system and protecting our students,
• 23:05
Speaker 9: and that I think that's really important. Yeah, we could
• 23:08
Speaker 9: have done more business related issues, definitely. We passed the
• 23:11
Speaker 9: microgrid bill, which I feel will bring a lot of
• 23:13
Speaker 9: businesses in, but we don't. We didn't pass a whole
• 23:18
Speaker 9: lot of things business related. So I think that that's
• 23:21
Speaker 9: one thing people probably are focusing on that that we're disappointed.
• 23:26
Speaker 3: The micro grid bill and this is going to be
• 23:29
Speaker 3: broken down, you know over you know, over the next
• 23:31
Speaker 3: few years. We're looking at maybe several years before this
• 23:34
Speaker 3: even comes into being. I know there are a lot
• 23:36
Speaker 3: of UH folks in your district. I know, particularly UH
• 23:40
Speaker 3: in your district that are looking they have some projects
• 23:42
Speaker 3: in the works on this micro grid bill. Why did
• 23:45
Speaker 3: you think it was so with micro grids, I should say,
• 23:48
Speaker 3: why did you think this bill was so important?
• 23:49
  Speaker 2: Senator?
• 23:50
Speaker 9: You know, I think those those particular projects were going
• 23:54
Speaker 9: to come regardless. But we were listening. I was listening
• 23:58
Speaker 9: a lot to the Fidelis group that's coming in Mason County,
• 24:00
Speaker 9: and they even said, you know, even though we were
• 24:02
Speaker 9: already looking at the property and we pretty much are coming,
• 24:05
Speaker 9: we need this legislation to pass in order to make
• 24:07
Speaker 9: sure that we can get everything we can. One of
• 24:10
Speaker 9: the major issues with it was a lot of the
• 24:12
Speaker 9: counties were concerned that there was no funding coming to
• 24:14
Speaker 9: the county. So when the bill came to the Senate,
• 24:16
Speaker 9: we made sure we changed the revenue that the counties
• 24:19
Speaker 9: would actually get some of the funding, which I think
• 24:21
Speaker 9: made everybody happy. And you know, it is something that
• 24:23
Speaker 9: makes us compete more with Virginia, Pennsylvania, a lot of
• 24:28
Speaker 9: states around us that can offer something to bring these
• 24:32
Speaker 9: companies here. This puts West Virginia right at the top.
• 24:34
  Speaker 10: Of the list.
• 24:35
Speaker 3: And yeah, and I think it's a good point that
• 24:37
Speaker 3: you bring up because some of the counties were worried
• 24:39
Speaker 3: about that. There were some county commissioners. I think that
• 24:41
Speaker 3: we're spending some late hours at the Capitol doing session,
• 24:44
Speaker 3: you know, talking to you folks in the legislature about this.
• 24:46
Speaker 3: I know some development authority directors and things of that
• 24:50
Speaker 3: nature were little so so you think everybody should be
• 24:52
  Speaker 3: happy now, Well.
• 24:53
Speaker 9: I do think they're happier than they were happier, whether
• 24:56
Speaker 9: or not. I never want to say everybody's happy, because
• 24:58
Speaker 9: you know that's not true. But but I do know
• 25:00
Speaker 9: I was speaking with our county commissioners in my district,
• 25:03
Speaker 9: and their number one concern was, you know, the county
• 25:05
Speaker 9: deserves revenue from this, and the county deserves to be
• 25:07
Speaker 9: able to have some oversight of some kind. And I
• 25:10
Speaker 9: think when we changed it in the Senate, I know
• 25:12
Speaker 9: I heard from my local county commissioners that they were
• 25:15
Speaker 9: a lot happier with how it turned out.
• 25:16
  Speaker 8: What's going on?
• 25:17
Speaker 3: You know of the district that that you serve takes
• 25:20
Speaker 3: in a few areas, But I know that you are
• 25:21
Speaker 3: a native native of Mason County, So let's talk about
• 25:25
Speaker 3: what's going on, particularly in Mason County right now, because
• 25:29
Speaker 3: it's been an exciting place in the news a couple
• 25:31
Speaker 3: of last couple of years with you mentioned the different
• 25:33
Speaker 3: developments and new core and so on and so forth.
• 25:36
Speaker 3: What can you tell us about some of the economic
• 25:37
Speaker 3: development going on in that area.
• 25:39
Speaker 9: You know, it has been exciting. As a matter of fact,
• 25:41
Speaker 9: every time we would have something come up and we
• 25:44
Speaker 9: would talk about it in a meeting, somebody would say,
• 25:46
Speaker 9: and this business is coming to Mason County. You know,
• 25:48
Speaker 9: I'd always raise my hand in triumph. But it is
• 25:51
Speaker 9: just a very I'm glad everybody's starting businesses are starting
• 25:54
Speaker 9: to realize the value of the property and just the
• 25:58
Speaker 9: landscape in Mason County, right along the river, we have
• 26:01
Speaker 9: railroads everywhere. You know, it's just it's just perfect. We
• 26:04
Speaker 9: had newcre come in, Fidelas is going to come in
• 26:06
Speaker 9: with up towards north Mason County. We just had another
• 26:10
Speaker 9: business say they're coming in as well. And then we
• 26:14
Speaker 9: have the Henderson Project, which if you're familiar with Henderson,
• 26:17
Speaker 9: West Virginia, it's as soon as you come off the
• 26:19
Speaker 9: bridge from Ohio into West Virginia, the first thing you
• 26:23
Speaker 9: see is Henderson and it's you know, Henderson was booming
• 26:25
  Speaker 9: at one time, but it's but it's a rundown. It's
• 26:27
Speaker 9: kind of run down now and there's nothing there. There's
• 26:29
Speaker 9: some homes there. I don't want to say nothing but
• 26:31
Speaker 9: that it's run down and everything's kind of old, and
• 26:35
Speaker 9: the development Authority really has a good plan to develop that.
• 26:38
Speaker 9: So we passed a bill this year to allow them
• 26:40
Speaker 9: to have a stiff district to help with the economic
• 26:43
Speaker 9: development the development of that area, to raise it up
• 26:45
Speaker 9: above the flood level. And it would be, you know,
• 26:48
Speaker 9: kind of like a West Virginia welcome center. As you
• 26:50
Speaker 9: come in from Ohio, you're looking right over the bridge
• 26:53
Speaker 9: and you'll see hopefully hotels, restaurants and things like that.
• 26:56
Speaker 3: Yeah, and I've said this on I think when I've
• 26:59
Speaker 3: interviewed you and others from that area. You know, I
• 27:01
Speaker 3: lived in Point Pleasant. The first place my wife and
• 27:04
Speaker 3: I live when we got married was right in downtown
• 27:06
Speaker 3: Point Pleasant. And the Point Pleasant of nineteen ninety two
• 27:12
Speaker 3: is not the Point Pleasant of twenty twenty five. There's
• 27:15
Speaker 3: been a lot of growth and expansion the downtown there.
• 27:17
Speaker 3: I mean, even without New Core and these things in
• 27:19
Speaker 3: Apple Grove and around it, I mean in downtown Point Pleasant,
• 27:22
Speaker 3: it's kind of I'm not to say it's booming, but
• 27:25
Speaker 3: there's a lot of exciting stuff going on there.
• 27:27
Speaker 9: You're right, and you know Main Street Point Pleasant is
• 27:30
Speaker 9: really booming. We have a lot of really great small
• 27:32
Speaker 9: businesses there. If you go in on a Saturday or Sunday,
• 27:35
Speaker 9: you'll see tour buses that drop people off there to
• 27:38
Speaker 9: the Mothman Museum and the Mothman's Statue. You know, we
• 27:41
Speaker 9: just had a gentleman purchase a lot of the buildings
• 27:43
Speaker 9: down there to renovate them, including the historic Low Hotel,
• 27:47
  Speaker 9: to bring things up. And I think there's a there's
• 27:49
Speaker 9: gonna be a lot of really great things happening.
• 27:51
Speaker 3: All right. Before we let you go, because I know
• 27:53
Speaker 3: you're busy, I want to go back to the classroom
• 27:55
Speaker 3: for a moment. And this is kind of a generic question,
• 27:59
Speaker 3: not related to of any of your things in the
• 28:01
Speaker 3: political world, totally unrelated to politics. It is spring, and
• 28:06
Speaker 3: I'm not going to call you Senator Grady. I'm going
• 28:08
Speaker 3: to call you missus Grady at this point. It is
• 28:11
Speaker 3: it's spring. How do you keep kids focused at this point?
• 28:14
Speaker 3: Because I remember, I remember what spring was like one
• 28:17
Speaker 3: hundred and eighty three years ago, when when I was
• 28:20
Speaker 3: a kid of a boy in the school system. And
• 28:22
Speaker 3: once that sun starts shining late March early April, you
• 28:26
Speaker 3: have state tournaments, which we just had a couple of
• 28:27
Speaker 3: weeks ago. It's kind of hard to keep the kids focused.
• 28:30
Speaker 3: So what do you do as a teacher to say,
• 28:32
Speaker 3: stop looking out the window. We got a few more
• 28:35
Speaker 3: weeks or a month or so of this. What do
• 28:37
  Speaker 3: you do?
• 28:37
Speaker 9: You know, some small things that I do is take
• 28:39
Speaker 9: them outside for class. My class loves to go outside
• 28:43
Speaker 9: for math. We'll go out on the on the concrete
• 28:45
Speaker 9: and either use sidewalk chalk or take our dry erase
• 28:48
Speaker 9: boards out and have math class outside. And that makes
• 28:50
Speaker 9: a huge difference. It gets them, get them away from
• 28:52
Speaker 9: feeling cooped up, and then also get them in a
• 28:54
Speaker 9: different environment. So that's one thing you can do. I
• 28:57
Speaker 9: think making sure they're up and moving, specifically for a
• 28:59
Speaker 9: little one is really important because, like you said, they're
• 29:02
Speaker 9: getting antsy, and I think maybe the better question is
• 29:05
Speaker 9: how do you keep teachers focused? So we're about to
• 29:07
Speaker 9: lose it to you know, so we're preparing for that
• 29:10
Speaker 9: end of year summative assessment, and that's a lot of
• 29:13
Speaker 9: work and a lot of prep and so you know,
• 29:16
Speaker 9: teachers also need that little break to go outside and
• 29:18
Speaker 9: have a different view than just being inside the four wall.
• 29:21
Speaker 3: So number of things, one other thing, and I just
• 29:24
Speaker 3: thought of this, I promise I'll let you go. Okay,
• 29:25
Speaker 3: all right, So cell phone bill, where are you as
• 29:28
Speaker 3: a teacher on that on the cel phone?
• 29:30
Speaker 9: When that bill was first introduced, Dave, I was, I was,
• 29:35
  Speaker 9: I was a trial. I felt about it. Do I
• 29:36
Speaker 9: feel like that's a classroom management issue and if it's
• 29:39
Speaker 9: an issue in the classroom, the principle should help handle that.
• 29:42
Speaker 9: But the more I talk to teachers who teach high schoolers,
• 29:46
Speaker 9: they really felt like it was a good bill. And
• 29:47
Speaker 9: I sat down with the governor one on one because
• 29:49
Speaker 9: I had some concerns about it, and asked him what
• 29:52
Speaker 9: his you know, what was the driver for this bill.
• 29:53
Speaker 9: I wanted to know, you know, what he was looking for.
• 29:56
Speaker 9: And he talked about how he had spoken with other
• 29:59
Speaker 9: governors who had implemented this policy across the state and
• 30:03
Speaker 9: they said that was the biggest change they saw in
• 30:06
Speaker 9: their education of their students. And so that really that
• 30:09
Speaker 9: really sealed the deal for me, and I'm excited for it.
• 30:11
Speaker 9: I think that we lifted up to the counties to
• 30:13
Speaker 9: decide how they will implement it to begin with. But
• 30:17
Speaker 9: you know, if that doesn't work and we have to
• 30:18
Speaker 9: go into a state wide policy, I guess we'll do that.
• 30:21
Speaker 3: I made the prediction a long time ago, Senator. I
• 30:23
Speaker 3: think the parents are going to have a whole lot
• 30:24
Speaker 3: bigger issue with this than what the kids are.
• 30:27
Speaker 9: I think, so Toune. You know, I've watched a segment
• 30:29
Speaker 9: on Fox News the other day where it interviewed some
• 30:31
Speaker 9: students who were in a state where they had their
• 30:34
Speaker 9: cell phones taken away. They had to put them inside
• 30:37
Speaker 9: of a pouch or something when they were instructional time,
• 30:39
Speaker 9: and the students talked about how they loved it because
• 30:42
Speaker 9: it forced them to put their phones down and it
• 30:44
Speaker 9: helped them to connect with their peers on a personal
• 30:48
Speaker 9: level more than with their phones. And so I think
• 30:50
Speaker 9: the kids will probably, like you said, the kids will
• 30:52
Speaker 9: probably maybe enjoy it a little more than the parents do.
• 30:56
Speaker 3: All right, Senator, get back to it. I appreciate you
• 30:58
Speaker 3: being here. We'll talk against it, and thanks a lot.
• 31:01
Speaker 3: Twenty two minutes away from ten, yeah, I mean I
• 31:04
Speaker 3: had at a few people upset with me, and I
• 31:06
Speaker 3: said that a couple of weeks ago. But this whole
• 31:09
Speaker 3: cell phone thing in the schools, it's a lot bigger
• 31:11
Speaker 3: deal for the parents than it is for the kids.
• 31:13
Speaker 3: I mean, And if you do any research on this
• 31:18
Speaker 3: and the states that have done similar things, when they
• 31:22
Speaker 3: talk to the kids, Once the kids got used to it,
• 31:24
Speaker 3: there's a learning curve. The kids were fine with it.
• 31:27
Speaker 3: It was mommy and daddy that had the major issue
• 31:29
Speaker 3: with it. It wasn't as much the kids as it
• 31:31
Speaker 3: was mommy and Daddy because we got to be able
• 31:33
Speaker 3: to do connect with our little darlings. You know, they
• 31:36
Speaker 3: can't be alone for seven or eight hours in the school.
• 31:38
Speaker 3: We got to be able to connect with them. And
• 31:39
Speaker 3: it was a bigger, much, much bigger issue with the parents.
• 31:42
Speaker 3: And I predict that when this is implemented in West
• 31:47
Speaker 3: Virginia schools, once we see what it looks like, I
• 31:50
Speaker 3: think mommy and Daddy's going to have a whole lot
• 31:51

• 35:10
Speaker 3: a test that got a big amen from producer Ryan Nicholson. Well,
• 35:15
Speaker 3: let me explain, Okay, the incident and I and I
• 35:20
Speaker 3: went a couple of years and I didn't even talk
• 35:22
Speaker 3: about the incident. But uh but back back in the day,
• 35:26
Speaker 3: two three years ago, Kaitlin Murphy was was producing the
• 35:29
Speaker 3: show and on Friday we had at that time it
• 35:31
Speaker 3: was Hannah Gardner who's no longer with the Humane Association,
• 35:34
Speaker 3: but Hannah would come in the studio and bring and
• 35:37
Speaker 3: bring a pet with us that we do on Friday
• 35:39
Speaker 3: now we do with Angie Gill and water. They adopt me, please,
• 35:41
Speaker 3: pet of the week, and uh so, uh so, uh
• 35:45
Speaker 3: Hannah brought the dog in and while we were talking,
• 35:51
Speaker 3: this dog on Friday got a little nervous and had
• 35:56
Speaker 3: had a little business to take care of on our
• 35:58
Speaker 3: on our control room floor. All right. So that led
• 36:01
Speaker 3: to the policy, well maybe it's not such a good
• 36:04
Speaker 3: idea to bring pets into the studio, which I found
• 36:08
Speaker 3: out later was actually already a policy that I was violating.
• 36:12
  Speaker 3: I didn't know it. It's a story that goes back
• 36:15
Speaker 3: a couple of years where Jenny Murray on our sister
• 36:17
Speaker 3: station V one hundred did a similar thing and got
• 36:20
Speaker 3: bitten by a dog and so a company policy went out,
• 36:23
Speaker 3: and I may or may not have ignored the company policy,
• 36:27
Speaker 3: but but anyway, so we decided, yeah, probably not a
• 36:30
Speaker 3: good idea to bring the pets in the studio.
• 36:32
  Speaker 8: Now.
• 36:33
Speaker 3: The difference with baby dog, and this is in reference
• 36:36
Speaker 3: to we are planning, if everything works out okay, to
• 36:38
Speaker 3: have Senator Jim Justice in studio in Metro News Midday
• 36:41
Speaker 3: coming up later, and we're pretty sure baby dog will
• 36:45
Speaker 3: come in as well. Baby dog is trained, Baby dog
• 36:50
Speaker 3: has gone to obedient school. Baby dog knows not to
• 36:53
Speaker 3: do that. I think that Senator Justice, when he was governor,
• 36:57
Speaker 3: probably would not have had the dog on the house
• 36:59
Speaker 3: floor if that were an issue. Now I've been proven
• 37:02
Speaker 3: wrong before, but as far as I know, that's not
• 37:04
Speaker 3: going to be an issue. And if you've spent as
• 37:07
Speaker 3: long in radio as I have, I will tell you
• 37:09
Speaker 3: there's been far worse things done than dogs craping on

• 37:35
Speaker 3: for this development project. They can't even buy a new
• 37:38
Speaker 3: house with what they are being offered. This reference to
• 37:41
Speaker 3: what Cinder Grady and I were talking about, it's interesting that.
• 37:46
Speaker 3: I mean, basically, Henderson is a town. And if you're
• 37:49
Speaker 3: coming up, let me let's take it from the West
• 37:51
Speaker 3: Virginia standpoint. You're coming up thirty five, and on the
• 37:54
Speaker 3: old thirty five, which I traveled many many times, Henderson
• 37:58
Speaker 3: was the little community that you can men just prior
• 38:00
Speaker 3: to point pleasant, probably best known for the McDonald's that
• 38:03
Speaker 3: was there in Henderson. And basically the town is being
• 38:06
Speaker 3: dissolved for a development project.
• 38:08
  Speaker 8: Now.
• 38:08
Speaker 3: I actually knew some folks that served on the on
• 38:12
Speaker 3: the elected officials there in Henderson, and pretty much the
• 38:16
Speaker 3: town is no more. Uh So that's kind of kind
• 38:20
Speaker 3: of the way it is.
• 38:22
  Speaker 8: Texas.
• 38:23
Speaker 3: Dave's sick and tired of Trump administration criticism of our

• 38:34

• 38:58
Speaker 3: and Donald Trump specifically over the years, I have a
• 39:01
Speaker 3: hard time seeing how anybody who's a veteran can support
• 39:05
Speaker 3: Donald Trump. And I know there are organizations called Veterans
• 39:08
Speaker 3: for Trump and so on and so forth. I'm just saying,
• 39:10
Speaker 3: I know there's no way, no way, and I just
• 39:16
Speaker 3: I don't understand it. Coming up later today Metro News

• 39:30
Speaker 3: let you know we do a feature. And we started
• 39:34
Speaker 3: doing this when we started the show. It's been almost
• 39:36
Speaker 3: a month, believe it or not, since we've been doing
• 39:38
Speaker 3: this show where we simply want to recognize normal, everyday

• 44:40
Speaker 3: just look at the people the Trump administration is getting
• 44:42
Speaker 3: rid of in the military. It's women and minorities. Why
• 44:45
Speaker 3: is this? Says a tankster. I am presuming, presuming that
• 44:51
Speaker 3: the talk line boys will have a more a little
• 44:53
Speaker 3: bit more on this a little bit later on Congressman
• 44:55
Speaker 3: Riley Moore. Brad has a story post to wv Metronews
• 44:58
Speaker 3: dot com. Congressman Moore visited a maximum security prison in
• 45:03
Speaker 3: El Salvador where some people deported from the US were
• 45:06
Speaker 3: being held, and posted several photos on social media, including
• 45:11
Speaker 3: one of the congressman giving the thumbs up. Now, it's
• 45:15
Speaker 3: getting a lot a lot of blowback on social media.
• 45:21
Speaker 3: I'm not so sure that Congressman more really cares about
• 45:26
Speaker 3: what people think about this, because there are those that
• 45:28
Speaker 3: are saying way to go and okay. Among those being
• 45:33
Speaker 3: held a sheet metal worker and a father of three
• 45:36
Speaker 3: from Maryland who is removed from what's being called a quote,
• 45:39
Speaker 3: administrative error. The gentleman has no criminal record whatsoever in
• 45:44
Speaker 3: any part of the world and denies any affiliation with
• 45:47
Speaker 3: any gang, and the Supreme Court ruled nine to nothing
• 45:51
Speaker 3: to have him returned to the US. Anyway, let the
• 45:54
Speaker 3: boys of a talk line get into that. I may
• 45:58
Speaker 3: covered a little bit on Metro News Miday later on,
• 46:00
Speaker 3: but I have a feeling that those guys may may
• 46:03
Speaker 3: cover it. It's not aging well even against some Republicans.
• 46:10
Speaker 3: Tex says the picks Riley posted were creepy. The entire
• 46:14
Speaker 3: thing was very weird. He should know better, TIX says
• 46:18
Speaker 3: Riley Moore definitely supports City of Americans who don't agree
• 46:21
Speaker 3: with him, Seacott. Riley Moore has no respect for due
• 46:24
Speaker 3: process or constitution, And ironically, Riley will be celebrating a
• 46:27
Speaker 3: brown immigrant who was put to death by a police

• 46:46
Speaker 3: show next Monday to talk more about that. Also, the
• 46:49
Speaker 3: town of Cedar Grove is getting forty four grand for
• 46:53

• 47:26
Speaker 3: conversation with councilwoman Mary Beth Hoover about that, and she
• 47:30
Speaker 3: is going to be on a future show. Speaking of
• 47:33
Speaker 3: future shows, who's here. It's TJ. Meadows. How are you,
• 47:37
Speaker 3: my friend? I'm good.
• 47:38
  Speaker 9: You know.
• 47:38
Speaker 10: I was just sitting here thinking, listening intently to you,
• 47:40
Speaker 10: but also thinking what a great studio we have.
• 47:44
Speaker 3: It's awesome. It is really is very nice, and I
• 47:47
Speaker 3: mean I like it here. I think I may stay. Yeah,
• 47:50
Speaker 3: well good, I'm glad they're gonna let you. Yeah, I'm
• 47:53
Speaker 3: still I'm on the five year probationary period is what
• 47:56
Speaker 3: That's what they told me. I'm actually next next May.
• 48:00
Speaker 3: I have to look at the exact date because I'm
• 48:01
Speaker 3: not sure. It's my fifth anniversary here of doing this
• 48:04
Speaker 3: little experiment, and then it gave me another show. That's
• 48:08
Speaker 3: a lot of Dave, good for you, a lot quickly
• 48:11
Speaker 3: to Dave alland showing five Ady Lie brought to you
• 48:13
Speaker 3: a part by meex rentals and leasing comprehensive property management
• 48:16
Speaker 3: services including marketing, tenant screening, maintenance, and rent collection because
• 48:19
Speaker 3: it meets rentals dot Com. So what'd you make of
• 48:21
Speaker 3: the whole congressman more thing? I guess you and Wilson
• 48:23
Speaker 3: will talk about a little bit. I don't want to
• 48:25
Speaker 3: steal your thunderye off the top. What do you think
• 48:28
  Speaker 3: about it?
• 48:28
Speaker 10: You know, I'd like to talk with him. I'm not
• 48:30
Speaker 10: trying to pass judgment. I would like to understand what
• 48:33
Speaker 10: he was thinking when he did it. You know, someone
• 48:38
Speaker 10: said today in a meeting, reminded them of Lyndy England.
• 48:42
Speaker 10: Who was this soldier that did the thumbs up.
• 48:44
Speaker 3: I hadn't even thought about that name in a number
• 48:46
  Speaker 3: of years.
• 48:47
Speaker 10: Yeah, you can make those parallels if you want. That's
• 48:50
Speaker 10: up to the listeners to do.
• 48:52
Speaker 3: Look can he do it? Yeah? Should he have done it?
• 48:56
Speaker 10: Probably not easy for me to say after the fact,
• 48:59
Speaker 10: but I will. A long time ago from the late
• 49:01
Speaker 10: great Lacy nep who was a mentor of mine in
• 49:03
Speaker 10: this business. He always used to tell me he called
• 49:05
Speaker 10: me Carson, he maybe be Carson on the radio. That's
• 49:07
Speaker 10: when Carson was big with Carson Daily. So we had
• 49:10
Speaker 10: to have our Carson and he used to say cars
• 49:13
Speaker 10: went in doubt leave it out.
• 49:15
Speaker 3: And I think that might have been like a spur
• 49:19
Speaker 3: of the moment type thing, if I mean, because people
• 49:21
Speaker 3: do things. Somebody puts a camera or a phone in
• 49:23
Speaker 3: your face and you're just I.
• 49:24
Speaker 10: Mean, yeah, that's why i'd really like to We're gonna
• 49:28
Speaker 10: have to get rightly on he's a regular on Talk
• 49:29
Speaker 10: About and just ask him about what his motivation was. Yeah,
• 49:32
Speaker 10: you know, the other thing popped into my mind, Dad,
• 49:33
Speaker 10: because you know, I'm weird as we all know. Why
• 49:36
Speaker 10: are you posting photographs of a prison online for security purposes?
• 49:41
Speaker 10: If these are the worst of the worst that we
• 49:43
Speaker 10: have there? Granted I don't think they show that much,
• 49:46
Speaker 10: but you know there's that ankle of it as well.
• 49:48
Speaker 10: But just probably I'm a risk averse person, so probably
• 49:53
Speaker 10: not something I would have done. But you know what,
• 49:56
Speaker 10: he's got to raise money too. That's the thing about
• 49:58
Speaker 10: being in the US House of Representatives. You have to
• 50:00
Speaker 10: start raising money almost the second that you get there,
• 50:02
Speaker 10: and that's really what it becomes about. So does that
• 50:05
Speaker 10: be not that different from the legislature? No, So are
• 50:08
Speaker 10: there pressures there when that speak to a certain base.
• 50:11
Speaker 10: I don't know ye speaking legislature. Mike Pushkin just walked
• 50:16
Speaker 10: into the studio loking good too, exactly sports code on
• 50:18
Speaker 10: exactly what this is all about? Why are you in
• 50:20
Speaker 10: my studio? You weren't invited to be oh, tj invited?
• 50:24
Speaker 10: You don't need an invitation.
• 50:25
Speaker 3: You come up on the show on talk Line today,
• 50:28
Speaker 3: the esteem delegate from Kanawha County. That is what I've
• 50:32
Speaker 3: been told. Yes, okay, what are you talking about?
• 50:34
  Speaker 12: Who knows?
• 50:35
  Speaker 2: Whatever?
• 50:35
Speaker 3: They asked me, I'm prepared. What are you going to
• 50:37
Speaker 3: ask him? T Jane, Well, I can't do that. Give
• 50:40
Speaker 3: you time to prepare. Let me I'm fair in my
• 50:43
Speaker 3: questions when you say, yeah, all right, let me read
• 50:45
Speaker 3: a texture Texas Dave. You say you read studies a lot, well,
• 50:49
Speaker 3: I listened to a lot of radio. No offense, But
• 50:51
Speaker 3: you seem to repeat what other people who claim to
• 50:53
Speaker 3: have read something said, and often unknowingly repeat the same
• 50:56
Speaker 3: mistakes or lies telling other people to read or research.
• 51:00
Speaker 3: It's obvious to people who have read and done research
• 51:02
Speaker 3: sometimes that you have not take your own advice and
• 51:05
Speaker 3: don't just pass on what a guy told you once.
• 51:08
Speaker 3: That kind of confirms your Priors says a texture. Okay,
• 51:12
Speaker 3: I don't really know what that was about, but okay, later, defense,
• 51:15
Speaker 3: how could you nearly have enough time to do all
• 51:17
Speaker 3: this research since you're on the radio like all the time.
• 51:19
  Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know. Well, I've got to
• 51:21
Speaker 3: go to the bathroom sometime, right, that's for you to
• 51:24
Speaker 3: your research. Yeah, of course that's what I That's what
• 51:28
Speaker 3: I tell people all the time. When you know, when
• 51:31
Speaker 3: people take pictures and post on social media and they're
• 51:33
Speaker 3: trying to get the perfect angle on there's like, you know,
• 51:35
Speaker 3: ninety five percent of your people are reading this while
• 51:37
Speaker 3: sitting on the toilet. You do realize that, right, So
• 51:40
Speaker 3: and take that. Are you the one that leaves the
• 51:41
Speaker 3: newspapers in the bathroom?
• 51:42
  Speaker 1: Yes?
• 51:43
Speaker 3: Now, now my newspapers go with me?
• 51:45
  Speaker 9: All right?
• 51:46
  Speaker 4: All right?
• 51:46
Speaker 3: Coming up to tomorrows show again, it's home run Derby time, pushkin,
• 51:49
Speaker 3: I think you should enter the home run derby over
• 51:51
Speaker 3: the ballpark this week?
• 51:52
  Speaker 10: Yeah?
• 51:53
Speaker 3: That was not my best sport, okay, all right? Not
• 51:55
Speaker 3: my best guitar playing? Was your best sports?
• 51:58
  Speaker 8: All right?
• 51:58

• 51:59
